This is kind of a big deal, really. The first /real/ birthday party she will ever have! No more scratchy dresses, no boring music recitals, even more formal dinners with bland and boring food that they usually had each day to begin with.

Today there will be music, but music that actually sounds good. The food is hot out of the oven, with a large variety of pizzas for everybody, with diets taken into consideration, both vegetarian, stuff for people with various allergies should they have that, and a special sugar pizza that Toph had insisted that the chef had to make. After all, she considers this party to be more for her friends than for herself. The main room of the Bar and Grill has been taken over it looks like, though it had been that way even before Toph herself had showed up early to make sure things were okay. Strange, the workers didn't say they would prepare the place, would they? There are plates set out across the tables along with plastic cups, on top of festive tablecloths. There are bowls of popcorn, chips and various candy spread all over so the guests can eat their fair share of candy and snacks throughout the evening. Silly string, balloons, streamers and banners hang all over the place, and even though Toph can't read the large letters painted on them, it should be pretty easy for the people who can see the giant letters spelling out 'happy birthday'. This is all kinda new and strange, but if this is what a party is supposed to be like... What do you do at parties anyway? Oh well, her guests might let her know. For now Toph Beifong is sitting at one of the tables, waiting for the first guests to arrive. For once, she's clean, and she's not wearing her usual clothes. Instead she's clad in some of the clothes Pepper had gotten her recently. An oversized lime top with a dark green fractured pattern on it, as well as tan cargo pants. Her hair is set up in its usual large hair bun, kept in place by a green hairband. Then there's the glove on her left hand that looks rather out of place. And a book with normal lettering that's resting in her lap as she slowly moves the fingers of her left hand over the letters, with soft whirring sounds coming from the glove itself. All in all she seems rather relaxed, albeit a bit focused as she waits.

Faruja (152) has posed:
"My, my, my! My dear, blessed friend, to have thine proverbial nose stuck within a tome while thine celebration looms night!?" Comes the voice of one Faruja Senra, as he walks into the Bar and Grill. There's a big grin on his muzzle. He's wearing his usual set of red robes, though for once, the hood is up! Stranger still, there's this odd lump at the top of his hood, beneath the cloth. Every now and then,it wiggles. The vibrations from the ratling may well show just slightly added weight atop his head. What /ever/ could it be up there?

In his hands, there's what appears to be a card addressed to Toph in flowing script! What with that reading device of hers, at least now she can appreciate it!

"Ye make a mage and scholar proud! Happy birthday!" Reeeach! After a glance around, Toph will come under attack by good natured hair-ruffling. Someone's in a good mood today.

Then, he's gazing about, as he sets his card down on a nearby table. That weight shifts again, and the rat's hands go up. He hushes, reaching a finger in to rub at the moving lump.

"Wonderful work upon the decorations! My, my, 'tis a celebration indeed! Remind me once the guests are about, hmm? Old tradition from home I would like ye to indulge this nezumi in." >>> SUMMARY - Faruja <<< - Wiggly lump in the cowl! What could it be? Happy b-day Toph, have a card and some hair-ruffles!

There's an innocent whistle at the wonderings about decorations as Pinkie Pie pushes her Instant Decoration Party Cannon into the closet behind her with a push of her back hoof.

"This is going to be the bestest make up for all the missed birthday parties party -ever-." And then she's suddenly right there with Toph at the table, stretching out the band to stick a party hat on the earthbender. Then sits there with the biggest grin on her face. >>> SUMMARY - Rarity <<< - And now you know where the decorations came from

What a surprise! Rebecca Chambers is here, but she's not wearing her usual S.T.A.R.S. attire today! Instead, she's dressed in a more casual, easygoing attire. It seems rather out of place for Rebecca, but she does have her casual side when she's off duty. Although for most people who know her, she's rarely off-duty it seems. When she's not in her research center, she's busy working as a Union elite operative. But given that it's a party, Rebecca's decided to look simple and casual.

Arriving at the bar after riding the subway to this spot (yes, apparently the Starting Nexus even has its own subway station!) Rebecca enters and looks around, nodding at the various decor and whatnot, before spotting Toph and smiling a little. "Hello Toph. Happy birthday," She says cheerfully.

Even though Altair had said earlier he wouldn't be able to make it to the party, the occasion is simply too important to the Grandmaster to prioritize his work over it. At the very least he has to show up to give a hug and a present to the birthday girl, he owes Toph that much. Still looking a bit roughed up from the other day, Altair enters the bar and grill dresses rather casually, not with his usual robes, but on civilian clothing. This also shows the numerous bandages he has on his arms and face, but eh, no big deal, preferable than to be a stick in the mud and arrive in 'work' clothes.

He works /really hard/ to pretend he's not limping and walks towards Toph. On his hands he has modestly small birthday present.

If Kilik should be worried that most of Toph's friends are technically enemies of his, well, that doesn't stop him. Toph's an enemy too, though not one he dislikes. A rival perhaps, and a friend who just happens to be firmly on the wrong side. If he were afraid just because she might be surrounded by people that don't like him, well, that wouldn't be much in the way of role-modeling. He'd never convince her that her side is wrong if she didn't respect him, and that includes his guts.

Of course that's not what he's been thinking of, coming here. Toph invited him, so of course he'd come. Thinking about sides and consequences is for people ruled by their head, not by their heart. Entering the party room, one Twin to each side and just behind him, Kilik grins a bright white toothy grin. "All right, I'm here now! Party can start!" he claims, not particularly serious with that claim. He makes his way over to Toph, seeing as there's few enough here that he's actually on good terms with, still grinning. "Happy birthday kiddo!" he says, holding out a wrapped present. By size and shape, it could be a book. By touch and weight though, it's got a hollowed-out side. A framed picture.

Connor has learned to navigate to the Bar and Grill so he should be fairly prompt, Toph told him about this a couple of days ago so he knows to go there. But like Toph Connor had no idea what one did at a birthday party. Or what one should wear to it. It is a special occasion so he feels he ought to go with that in mind. Except the most formal outfit he has is the one he wears on the Aquila. And he really has no concept of 'formal' clothes in Toph's world.

So he arrives in that-- his Aquila uniform. Minus the hat, the removal of his hair on the sides of his head is clear. It will grow back but for the time being it is shaved into a strip down the center of his head, with the remainder in three braids that rest against the back of his neck.

He peeks into the Bar and Grill as if to make sure he has the right place, he can quickly see he does. It also becomes clear that he has brought a gift! Sure enough he is carrying a thin object in hand, wrapped in green wrapping paper. He obviously did not wrap it, it is far too neat for that.

"... Somehow I am not surprised," Rarity mururs as the unicorn walks in just to see the place already decorated and Pinkie Pie already doling out party hats. Coif bobs a bit as she shakes her head a bit and trots over to the area everyone else is gathering in. "Hello dahlings. "Awww yeah, paaarrttyy tiiimmmee!" There is a rainbow blur of colors speeding down from the ceiling that turns out to be a bright cyan pegasus pony with a rainbow colored mane and tail. A bit of streamers cling to some of the feathers of her wings as she dives down to the growing gathering around Toph. That explains how some of the higher up decorations got there.

Rainbow Dash doesn't even bother to a hover. She loops around the table a couple of times in excitement, "Happy Birthday Toph!" Not really watching where she's flying, Rainbow flies right through some streamers and confetti flying through the air. "Whoa!" And gets some right into her face. Unable to see where she's going, she ends up flying into a nearby wall instead. Whud! "Ugh," Rainbow groans, prying herself free. "It's cool, I'm okay!"

So it was the britday of a certain Earth Bender? Well now she'd have to come by and wish Toph well she even had something for Toph that she hoped she'd get a kick out of. What ever it is? It's wrapped and laying on the back of Maya's large mecha dog Runner who is waitint out side as Maya heads into the gril, now where to find Toph? It takes a few seconds to find them. Maya's weaing something that doesn't look out of place for late 20th or early 20th century earth. She loks like she could go clubbing from the looks of her.

"Hey Toph!"

You know, he's never been much for parties that didn't involve drinking alone in the corner of some run down saloon in some dusty mining town, but Jericho decided to show up for Toph's party, because, well, she's been nothing but nice to him since he arrived in the Multiverse. More than he can say for a lot of folks.

He expertly ducks out of the way of the pegasus as she nearly crashes into him, as he makes his way over to Toph, "Hey kiddo. Happy birthday."

Tony Stark arrives. Fashionably late, hell, he practically invented the term. Not that it's really possible for him to be late to anything, since it's not a party until he arrives. He's dressed up a little from his usual hanging-around-the-house jeans and t-shirt, in sharp black trousers and black-and-silver patterned silk shirt.

He does not arrive alone, though. "Through here," Stark is instructing some people behind him, and even steps aside to hold the door as two young men sidle through it balancing a very large cake on a tray between them. It... looks like it's made of dirt. Actually, it's chocolate, with crushed oreo to give it texture, and here and there poke out hints of colorful gummi worms.

Stark looks around the room for a clear space for the cake to be deposited on. He supposes that unused pool table will do. "Over here," he takes charge again, and strides briskly ahead to clear the cue sticks. "Bruce, you got the ice cream?" As if he might have forgotten it in the car.

"Here comes the cake, here comes the cake~" Pinkie Pie is if nothing else good at random improvising as she *poing poing poings* over. "That looks all scrum-dilly-umptious! Well played, Mr. Metal Pants, well played." Where did she get silverwear amd a bib from all of a sudden?

But just before she can 'taste test' the cake she gets snared by a magically animated streamer and yanked away, landing at Rarity's hooves on her back with her legs wrapped above her. "Wow Rarity, those lassoing lessons from Applejack have been getting really good."

The unicorn just buffs a hoof to her chest. "I have picked up a useful trick or two from our friendship, I suppose." >>> SUMMARY - Rarity <<< - Roping in Pinkie's sweet tooth

"I got it!" Shortly behind the billionaire playboy, the scientst known as Doctor Banner enters carrying the ice cream. Bruce is dressed in his typical relaxed twill and blue button-down shirt. "Happy birthday, Toph." He utters cheerfully. He's got the standard birthday card and a small envelope. Casually, he eyes up the various pizza and makes his rounds. After putting the ice cream where instructed, starts to settle into a small niche as he typically does. As his always safety measure, he insures his trust wrist watch is monitoring his vitals.

A gummi worm might've been snatched up and devoured casually as Ezio strides into the bar, followed by two women, one his age and one who's already in her sixties, all three of them dressed extremely well. Ezio's got his best suit, while Maria and Claudia are in modern dresses, something casual for the occasion but still classy enough.

They've been brought up to speed on the whole Toph being an Assassin ally deal, but they're not going to single her out about it publicly anyways. So they're just here to see some of Ezio's new little friends, maybe grab a drink or two while on break from the whole deal in Rome.

"Awfully large turnout." Maria muses to herself, grabbing a seat. "Somehow I feel out of place with all the-" Suddenly she looks at the talking ponies. Including PInkie. "Never mind." She says, unphased completely.

Ezio meanwhile just wanders over to Toph, bowing his head and holding out a gift, a clothing box no less. "Happy Birthday, Toph. I figured the women who helped me get this deserved to meet you themselves." He offers a smile before motioning over to the others, "My mother, Maria, and Claudia, my sister." The ladies both bow their heads. "Ezio has already told us quite a bit about all of you, to varying degrees." Claudia says, giving a look at Connor for a moment, amused at the outfit. "Nice coat." She teases, sounding younger by a few decades before she adopts her usual poise.

They take seats, waiting for food to be passed around.

As Faruja speaks up, Toph blinks and raises her head slightly. "Oh, heya! I'm just catching up on lessons, I... have been a bit distracted and he insists that I catch up," Toph explains before she turns off the glove and closes the book after putting in a bookmark, reaching next to her to put the two items into her bag. "And thanks, I..." A slight yelp leaves Toph when her hair is ruffled. Oh well, at least she's getting somewhat used to it since several people she knows does it. As for the decorations? "I didn't do it, and the workers also say that--" Toph's eyes widen in surprise when the pink pony is there next to her... and she has a party hat on her. Yes, it seems that there are a few select people or ponies who actually /can/ sneak up on the earthbending master. The grin can't be seen, but Toph blinks twice, looking a bit too surprised to actually take off her party hat. "Uh... hi?" Until Pinkie speaks, she won't recognize her.

It's easier to recognize them when they speak or when she's actually met them before. So when Rebecca speaks the blind girl turns her focus to the medic, raising a hand in greeting. "Heya Chambers! And thanks!"

And sure, Altair can /try/ to hide the fact that he's limping, but Toph decides not to mention anything, instead she raises a hand and waves. And makes a mental note to check up on him later.

There is one person who might just stand out a bit as he arrives, and Toph grins as Kilik walks up. "Heya Gloves! Kids!" The present is taken and then put under her arm before she punches Kilik slightly in the arm before she raises up both her hands for Fire and Thunder to highfive. Sure, they've fought and trash talked before, but would she really invite him if they weren't getting along at least somewhat?

And there's Connor. The Iroquois might be lurking near the door, but Toph blinks and waves him on in. "Come on, Tree Rat!" she says before she puts the gift from Kilik aside. Even more ponies! Rarity earns a slight chuckle. "Thanks Rarity, nice you could make it." Do the ponies even like pizza, she wonders? At least the third pony seems to be nearly as enthusiastic about the party as the first one, and Rainbow is given a grin as she zooms around... and then a wince as she crashes into a wall.

Toph knows the pegasus pony is made of sturdier materials than to be defeated by a wall.

Man, there are really many people coming for this? She can't remember there being so many to any of her birthdays before. Maya's voice makes her look up, and she smiles. "Heya! Come on in, I think we're nearly everyone now!"

And sure, she might not have spent much time with Jericho before, mostly when she helped him out on his Sky Journey with the rest of the assassin allies, but Toph looks happy nonetheless that the cowboy has shown up. "Thanks! Just sit wherever, and..."

Whatever she was going to say is interrupted as more people arrive... carrying something big between them. And there's Tony. "What are you dragging in here, Goldie?" she asks as she looks towards her supervising officer. And then blink when he warns her about another person arriving.

And there he is. Bruce earns a big grin, it's not often the big guy comes out of his lab or whatever he is doing. "Heya! Man, at least we have enough stuff to eat..." Toph says. Seriously, with all the pizza, candy, cake and ice cream, they are going to be stuffed.

With all of the people here she doesn't notice Ezio and his family members until they are close, and she turns her head slightly, offering the Italian assassin a smirk. "Thanks." Maria and Claudia earn a polite nod too as she reaches out to take the box. What's this? For now she will concentrate more on the words. "Well, I'm surprised you aren't running for the hills then!" she jokes with a cheeky grin on her face. Most people who hear about her usually don't get told that she's a gentle person, after all! At least that's not what she wants to be known for. The box is set aside with the other presents she has been handed so far, then the blind girl clears her throat, speaking up as loudly as she can.

"OKAY DUNDERHEADS!" Hey, she is saying it in a loving way at least. "Go grab yourselves some pizza from the counter, they are marked so you can know what is what, there's soda and iced tea over on that table over there," she continues and points towards the drink table, "And be sure to grab some cake and ice cream too so Goldie and Banner didn't pull it here to waste away. DIG IN!"

With that, Toph will head on over to grab herself some pizza and then sit down where she was sitting before.

Toph's calling Connor into the room works easily and he approaches the party. He nods in greeting to her. "Happy birthday, Toph," he offers with a smile. He always looks threatening when he frowns or scowls. But he just ends up looking doofy when he smiles! He will place his present to Toph with the others that were brought and likely placed somewhere.

Connor also nods respectfully to Maria and Claudia as Ezio introduces them. He has met Claudia at least. He tilts his head at the tone of Claudia's voice, he seems a little confused by it. But it is a compliment so he returns, "Thank you... Signorina." What's this?! Connor speaking Italian? His pronounciation is closer to an Iroquois word than an Italian word but it is still understandable.

Faruja (152) has posed:

Suddenly, Faruja has a party hat atop his robe's cowl. It ends up on the little wiggly lump. It wiggles, and Faruja manages to shush a distinctly cute sound. To those who have been around him a few times? It may sound vaguely familiar.

No present yet from Faruja, though he's still grinning. "Hail, Lady Dash!" He remembers that pony! "Ser Kenway, Ser Altair, Ser Hawke! Ahh, methinks Toph shall never lack for friends and allies! Hail, Ser Stark!"

Kilik isn't at all known to the rat. He gets a polite smile. When Maya enters, the rat throws a salute. "Maya! My, my, my, so many well wishers!" Really, the rat looks pleased as punch. Speaking of, he's off to get some of that very same drink. Which he swiftly adds vodka to. Not to the entire thing, just his own portion. No spiking the punch! (Yet).

Oh, ponies. They're silly. Faruja can't help but laugh, even as he stares at that cake. Sniff sniff. It smells /good/! The rat doesn't waste too much time, though the wiggling ball on his head seems to stop him.

Sigh. "Alright, alright...'twas going to be a surprise, ye little knave!" Chides the rat to the ball. Putting down his hood? There's a chocobo. A tiny chocobo chick.

"Kweh! Kweh!" Faruja smiles. "There we are, little one. Off to thine new owner!" The little chocobo jumps and flaps to Faruja's hand, as the rat offers the little 'bo over to Toph.

"Every warrior needs a mount. Raise her well, and she shall be a constant companion. Remind me after the party, and I shalt be sure to tell ye all ye need to know about raising chocobos. What shall be her name, hmm?" The Chocobo, should Toph let her, will land upon her head! Kweh!

Seems, though, that the chocobo is slightly irritated by all the noise. "Kweh!" It flaps its wings in the air. A very tiny rock suddenly falls, little more than a pebble, right onto Faruja's head! Bop!

Faruja rubs his head as he goes to get some food! Punch, ice cream, and cake! Faruja digs right in, getting faces to names and eating before starting to work the crowd like a proper party guest.

And in case anyone was wondering, yes: the chocobo chick's feathers are red.

"You're welcome, Toph," Rebecca says with a grin, before going to check out the various foodstuffs available. "I really should get out more often," Rebecca comments to herself as she gets herself a couple of slices of pizza. "I haven't had pizza since I don't know when!" She then gets a soda to balance things out.

Maya says "I think it looks like this quite the packed party."

There's sure a whole of people arriving and then? Tony brings the best choice of cake that is possible. She grins a bit at it but for now she'l save her gift for a bit she does hope Toph will get a kick out of it.

She takes notice to Faruja and smirks a little bit.

"Good tio see you and yes Toph's good wat makign friends what can I say?"

Maya's now going to look for some Pizza, oh she seriously does love this stuff.

Firstly and foremost.

Altair's gaze zeroes in on Kilik like a laser, regarding the kid, and those markings on his face, with an arched eyebrow for a moment or two. The evil eye is a fleeting motion and he is soon sliding in closer to Toph and the rest of the Assassins and their families. Ezio deciding to bring his family is also noticed, though keeping up with his usual personality, Altair says nothing about that.

The rest of the people, and ponies, arriving are given nods and greetings as they are required, but his intention and focus remain on the birthday girl.

"Kul 'am wa antum bekheir." <Happy Birthday> says Altair and slides Toph the small present he got her.

For the record Ponies do indeed like pizza. As long as it's vegetarian, four cheese, or something like that. Thankfully being the hangout of hangouts in the Multiverse that gets people from everywhere, there's plenty of vegetarian to go around.

After making sure Pinkie Pie doesn't try to pull the 'leave the slice and eat everything else' gag Rarity collects a plate for herself, suspended in her magical grip as she goes along. "Mmmm... Are you sure these toppings are fresh? It would be a horrible faux paus to serve anything less than for such a gathering."

The clerk just gives the fussy unicorn a bit of a glare and shuffles farther down the table.

"Well no tip for him," Rarity mutters under her breath... which is probably not true, as she's likely to leave a rather sizable one in general just for the place having to deal with Pinkie Pie's party antics. Speaking of.. "Where did she go now?"

Soda, check... water, check... tea, check..." Followed by an audible thump as the pink wonder pulls what looks like a traditional wooden keg barrel out of her mane. Just don't ask. It's what Pinkie Pie does. "Fresh Apple Acres Apple Cide, check. -Now- this is a party! >>> SUMMARY - Altair <<< - Happy birthday and modest gift.

"Ah, ah!" Tony cries out warningly at anyone who tries to approach the cake. "Not until she's blown the candles out. This is her first birthday cake and she's gonna do it properly," he declares. And then the billionaire proceeds to produce a set of cheap supermarket birthday candles from his pocket, and plant thirteen of them in a circular pattern on the top tier of the magnificent pastry. He does not light them yet; that's for later. He steps back, observes his handiwork, and seems pleased because he gives a short nod and then turns to tip the caterers who helped him carry it in with a couple of Benjamins. "Thanks fellas. Hey grab some pizza on your way out if you want. Looks like there's plenty."

Tony himself grabs the biggest, meltiest cheesiest piece of pepperoni pie he can find, and a coke, and then sidles up to one of the establishment employees to see if she can add some rum to it for him, tousling Toph's hair with a twiddle of his fingers in passing.

Altair adds, "Feel free to open it right now."

Maria, Claudia, and Ezio are all ironically the ones most hesitant about pizza. They stare at it, trying to figure out if they ought to have known about it before or not. "...should we just take a piece or two?" Maria wonders, before shrugging a shoulder the minute Claudia decides to be brave, rolling her eyes at her mother and brother while snagging a few plates, silverware, and two slices apiece. "You two are unbelievable sometimes, like stray hounds." A sigh, and she digs in after motioning Connor to sit with them with a friendly smile.

Yeah, they're eating pizza with knives and forks. The ladies anyways, Ezio's a bit better versed in modern traditions from his travels and snags a slice, chewing thoughtfully, "Not bad." He says, before taking a bigger bite.

Maria snags up a sliced portion of her piece, looking around. "So many people from so many other worlds, how interesting. I wonder, how must have been to 'unify' I believe the term is?" She asks curiously, then takes a bite herself, all classy like.

The talking ponies get a look, before the three exchange a shrug. "Multiverse?" "Multiverse. I believe they are of Equestria, I know the white coated one is Signora Rarity, a tailor of some renown in her world if I am correct." Ezio shrugs between bites of pizza.

Though he doesn't really recognize Toph's arm-punch as a significant gesture, Kilik's the sort of guy who catches on to such things quickly. He high fives, brofists, daps, manhandshakes, whatever is called for at a given time. Toph's little punch gets an immediate counter, a quick and solid jab to her sleeve that's controlled enough that it still wouldn't cause bruises to the arm of someone ordinary let alone Toph. The Twins high-five alertly and silently, peering up at the earthbender. And then, when she tells them to get food and ice cream, immediately throw their little hands up into the air and run around madly, mouths open, waving their hands in some bizarre quiet celebration.

Kilik blinks and shrugs. "You should open the present while people are here. It's supposed to be shared, ki... hm. You're 13 now. I can't call you kiddo any more, can I?" he smirks. Never mind he's only about a year older than her. It's a BIG year. "Anyone know a nickname I can call Toph?" he asks, raising his voice to the crowd.

Kilik does take note of the others. Faruja, the three Ponies, Tony Stark and Altair in particular. He doesn't seem unfriendly, not to anyone present that he's seen so far. Cheerful, maybe teasing Toph somewhat, but not unpleasant. The only one spared that general good-natured look is Altair, who earns a somewhat troubled look.

Kilik's gift, should Toph decide to open it, IS a framed picture. "Keep your glove handy there. There's a bit of writing across the top. I have no idea how you can see the picture though. You'll have to ask everyone else if they like it." the boy says. When she DOES open it, well, it's a caricature of her. It's quite good really, instantly recognizable as Toph with her hair, expression, and usual clothes, and an aggressive battle stance. It has extremely exaggerated muscles however. Not like bodybuilder huge, like comic superhero huge. Enough so that the figure of cartoon Toph is about as wide as it is tall. Across the top is written the legend, 'World's Greatest Earthbender'.

Hey, it's not like Kilik had more than a day's warning to shop for an appropriate gift! He had to go with something simple! For now though, he departs from Toph's side to make his way over to the Twins and towards the food. Bruce has to chuckle at the 'enough food' comment. Though, he cannot help divert his gaze toward the pizza and the cake....mostly the pizza. He quietly mills around the crowd, catching up with those he's met thus far, and introducing himself to those that approach him. Considering he's not invited the Other Guy, he slips easily into the crowd, his hand slyly reaching out and snatching 2 pieces of pizza. At least he's on 'regular appetite mode'.

"This is a wonderful party, Toph. You've had a really good turn out, and the pizza is quite delicious." He smiles. "Remind me to take you and Tony sometime out for pizza. I know if a nice little place over near the college I used to work at."

"It'll be a real date mister moneybags. Unless you wanna go dutch." Bruce snarks back Stark's direction as he tips back his spring water. "At least I'm bringing the lesser of two appetites." He smirks.

Tony makes what could best be described as a feminine wriggle. "Ooh, I'm so excited! I hope you don't take advantage of me you cad."

"So Toph.." Jericho says, as he makes his way over towards her with a box, "Listen, I know you're able to shape metal and stuff, so I figured I'd get you some metal to reshape, let you make it into whatever you want."

He hands her the box, which is wrapped in a rather plain looking brown paper. Toph would be able to feel the hefty chunk of gold within the box.

Content with her slice of pepperoni pizza, Toph takes a bite, glad to hear and 'see' that her guests seem to be in good spirits. At least the room is very open and with several tables put together so it shouldn't be too hard to talk with everybody since she has taken a seat in the middle of it all.

Though when Faruja walks over, she turns her head. Oh, right, he had something under his hood... is that what he's holding out? Wait... a /mount/? Toph didn't expect such a gift, or any gifts at all when she first planned this party, but she is rather curious. And she looks rather silly when the little chocobo chick decides to land on her head next to her party hat. Reaching a hand up, the blind girl blinks. "Oh, is this one of those birds you brought to New York when we fought King Dunderhead?" she inquires. And then the confirmation comes as Faruja gets that little pebble straight to the head. "HAH! Sweet!" she grins. Who can forget the chaos the large pack of these things caused? As for a name? "Nugget it is!"

Indeed, Maya is right. She didn't expect so many people would show up, but now she's glad she got enough pizza for all. But to hear that Maya thinks that she's good at making friends? No comment about that one.

Oh right. Altair doesn't like Kilik. As he delivers his birthday greetings and the present she reaches out and punches him lightly in the arm. "Relax. Gloves and the kids aren't here for the bad sort of party." Lighten up! It's not like he would do anything here on neutral ground anyway! "And thanks," she adds with a smile, then blinks. Open it now? "Okay!" So she puts the pizza slice in her mouth before ripping off the wrapping paper... revealing a golden necklace knuckle duster. Curiously she runs her fingers over it. "What's this...? Jewelry?" Maybe some of the seeing people can explain this to her, because she does not recognize the shape of the item.

"They made the pizza not long before you guys arrived, so it's fresh enough, Rarity!" Toph calls out with her mouth full of pizza as the unicorn fusses over the food. And huh, what is Pinkie dragging out? Apple cider? Oh yeah, she will have to grab a glass of that later.

The food in her mouth is swallowed, and Toph turns her attention towards Tony. Candles? Oh well, she'll have to ask later. Either way, he will have no problem getting some rum in his Coke. And Toph? She can't help but roll her eyes slightly when her hair is tousled. Party hats, chocobos... yes, her hair has become a massive nest today.

The Auditores seem hesitant about the pizza, though Toph is glad that at least Maria seems courageous enough. "Just eat all you want! It's not going to disappear by itself!"

Man, Fire and Thunder are adorable... she can appreciate the little runts who are even younger than she is. And Kilik does have a point... so while she is eating, Toph pulls out his gift and nods. "You can call me kid if you want, doesn't bother me," she shrugs. Heh, let them work out a nickname. Either way, she unwraps the gift, blinking as her fingers run over it. "I will have to read it later... bit messy with the pizza..." But she does hold up the frame for everybody to see. "Should I punch him or not?" Oh yes, she is grinning.

Bruce's comment about the party does indeed make her smile as she continues wolfing down her pizza. "Yeah, didn't expect so many people! And sure, I always appreciate food. Maybe we could do that after one of my lessons someday... and hey, you got more than enough money, Goldie!" she calls out to Tony. Oh yes, the banter between the two guys is amusing to listen to. At least Tony doesn't take himself too serious.

Another gift? Toph accepts the box from Jericho and gives him a thankful nod. "Yeah, metal is awesome, though I still need to train on it. I still can't bend it like I can do with earth," she says, setting down her slice so she can open the box. As her fingers run over the metal inside, she blinks. It's not like she has worked much with gold before... and she grins. "Thanks! Man... this feels a bit different from the other metals..." Better wait with bending it for later though!

Rarity's ears perk up a bit when she hears a reference to herself by a rather smooth and cultured voice. She turns in the direction of Ezio and Co and waves politely in return. Once she's finally selected a slice of vegetarian pizza and drink for herself she walks towards them, food suspended in her magic so it's not in the way when she bows her head politly. "Sir, madams, hello."

The entrance of the King of Knights was her standard quiet, unassuming entrance in spite of her past rank. It was not as if it mattered beyond being accorded the proper respect among Servants. With friends, however, it didn't matter.

Still, she was never able to shed how she carried herself, with the quiet dignity she had been trained in her entire life. Once more in the black three-piece suit and tie with a grey shirt, and her pale hair pulled back into a low ponytail, she could easily be mistaken for a pretty young man.

Despite her composure, she couldn't help but feel slightly awkward; she hadn't know Toph for very long. In fact, she had only just met her during the Assassins' campaign against the Templars. But it was only polite, given the circumstances, going so far as to find what seemed like an appropriate gift. Sakura might have helped with that.

Connor's his gift to Toph is a CD of Iroquois chants and the like. She seemed to like his drumming when they had to calm the badgermoles so he thought she would like to hear the music his people make. He will present the wrapped gift to her when he has the opportunity!

He also offers a nod to Claudia when she motions him over-- he will head over there after he presents his gift to Toph.

Faruja, however, is happy to reply. "M'Lady Maya, methinks this party indeed speaks for itself! Bravery and a jovial personality oft gain many an honored companion!" Faruja offers the woman punch, like a helpful party guest.

"Dame Nugget, may ye serve thine owner well, and honorably!" Comes Faruja, putting just a touch of formality to the process.

Then, he just nods, and smiles. "Enjoy thyself today, Toph, ye art only thirteen once!" With that, he's off to carouse.

His first target? Ezio and his family. Approaching, he offers a bow to the trio. "Ahh, I do hope I am not interrupting, fair Dames and honored Sers! Temple Wizard Faruja Senra, at thine service! 'tis an utmost honor to meet the family of the honored Ser. Might this humble knight hath the honor of thine names?" He offers to the group at large politely and formally. Should either the women allow it, he'll even kneel and kiss their palms like a proper gentleman! Hopefully they're not scared of rats.

Then, standing, he smiles. "Ser Auditore, Ser Kenway, I am glad ye both came; 'tis enough to warm the heart, to know so many love Toph so. Shall I get any of ye anything?"

Ear-perk. Kilik gets another look briefly. Seems like a nice enough young man! The mention of 'Confederate' has him raising a brow slightly, but then he shrugs. Neutral ground, /and/ he's behaving himself. He knows all too well that not all Confederates are so morally bankrupt. He makes a mental note to shift his way some time during the party.

Tony meanders over to get a better look at the chocobo chick. "That is not living in my house," he lays down the law right away, though it loses some of its gravitas being spoken through a mouthful of pizza. He's just imagining his poor cat being terrorized. To say nothing of his girlfriend. "Is it gonna fly when it gets bigger? Do I get to give you flying lessons now?"

What, even more people? Toph blinks, then raises a hand in greeting, leaning forward where she sits at the table. "Heya! Glad you could make it! Come and grab yourself some pizza and drink, will you? There's cider in that barrel over there," the blind girl gestures towards the large barrel that Pinkie set up, then towards a table with various bottles, "and soda over there!"

Connor's gift is taken, and heck... since she is on a roll. "Thanks, Tree Rat." Hmmm, this one is flat... But she unwraps it and then runs her fingers over it, a curious look on her face. "What's this?" The music she has gotten so far has all been digital.

Dame Nugget... heh. Toph can't help but grin at that, reaching her hand up again to the little chocobo to pat it slightly on the head. At least it's a fair bit smaller than the large ones! But well, it will become just as large as an ostrich horse most likely. Better ask Faruja later for some tips since she doesn't know much about most creatures...

Of course Tony has to say something, and Toph arches an eyebrow. "Hey, if Pepper doesn't allow you to bring a badgermole home, why would I put Nugget there? I think there should be room for her at Njorun anyway," the blind girl responds calmly while she eats her pizza. Then halts, her eyes narrowing. "If you try that, I /will/ bend your suit again." No. No flying lessons. That one time was bad enough!

Kilik makes his way over to the pizza first, scooping up several pieces and, barbarian that he is, doesn't bother with a plate or anything. He flips pieces over pieces, ending up holding the crusts of what appears to be a turnover pizza sandwich in each hand. In true ambidextrous fashion, he takes a bite of first one pair, then the other.

Kilik glances past Saber as she comes in. He's actually no stranger to girls dressing up in formal menswear for a party, but he doesn't recognize her right away. While he's far from clueless, he's not always the most observant either. A shame, as he'd definitely appreciated her attitude towards fighting when they'd recently crossed weapons.

Once he is double-armed with pizza, Kilik waves the slices at the Twins, summoning them in hand (so to speak). They trot over obediently, both their mouths already suspiciously smeared with what looks like dirt, holding a piece of pizza each. Gathering his 'family, Kilik advances on the assassin contingent and those around them. He's neutral enough, a bit tense perhaps but not maintaining an aggressive bearing. Kilik holds up the back of his pizza-bearing fist to Connor, the one member of the Assassins he has reason to appreciate, grinning and inviting a forearm tap of respect.

The concept of 'fashionable lateness' entered the social lexicon sometime while Steve Rogers was frozen in the Arctic, and it's one of those many things that he hasn't really caught up with. Still, big social gatherings have always been a thing - certainly since well before Rogers was *born* originally - and as such, arrival 'windows' rather than specific times are something that he *is* familiar with.

Kind of.

It's not like young Steve tended to be invited to those kinds of parties, either.

But this is one party he wasn't going to pass up, and as such, Steve Rogers walks into the Bar and Grill with a rather large, flat package tucked under his left arm. Stark might recognize the shape of the package, given his contribution to its contents - but rather than drawing attention to what he's carrying, Steve just waves with his free arm. "Evening, everyone - and happy birthday, Toph!"

Pointedly ignoring the display Tony gives, Rarity and Faruja both get a bow of Ezio's head, and his mother and sister nods to her as well. "Buon giorno, signora, signore. My son has already spoke a bit about both of your works before, quite highly I must admit from what he's seen." Maria says politely enough. "Hopefully my son's stayed out of trouble for the most part, I'd hate to see if he's been misbehaving, you should've seen him back when he was still just a boy, especially when adolescence came about."

She'll be getting the most embarrassed deathlook from Ezio as he makes a motion along his neck for her to stop. She takes the hint, chuckling as she musses up her son's hair. "Oh, stop it. You're well into adulthood, yes, but let an old woman have her fun time to time." Not helping, mom. :
