Cast of Characters: 560, 576

Emiya Shirou (560) has posed:
This may be one of Shirou's worst ideas. Or possibly best ideas. He has come out to an island in the middle of pretty much nowhere, notable only for a small and quaint fishing village and a warp gate that happens to be on the exact other side of the island from it. He's come... on a bicycle. He's come unarmed (though this means little to him, obviously), and he's come alone.

And he's come in just his casual clothes without a jacket, because it's pretty hot and humid out here! "Well, this spot's about as good as any." he has no attachment to it whatsoever, and there's nothing around here worth anyone could consider threatening or a good fight!

Shirou rubs his face. Yes, this is one of the craziest things he's ever attempted. He's not sure if it will work.

Nor is he completely sure he wants it to work. But there's questions that need answers...

And so he roughly calls out at the top of his lungs, "Odin! Elder Primal warrior! Come out!"

Yeah. Not really the politest summon, but there's no hostility in his spirit at least.

    Juuuuust some serious anxiety.

Odin (576) has posed:
When Shirou calls out for the Dark Divinity there was at first no reply. However soon a dark fog rolled across the area, before swirling around in front of Shirou. That fog slowly started to roll upward before forming that of a humanoid form. Then that started to at last take the shape of Odin.

The armored figure stood before Shirou, those glowing eyes staring down at the youth before him. His helm missing, showing the dark purple skinned Elezen behind it. "Why have you summoned me here?" Odin asks calmly, but a gleam of ferocity in those glowing eyes.

Emiya Shirou (560) has posed:
    Oh hell.

    That actualyl worked.

Shirou's blood goes cold briefly. This is the first time he's been so close to Odin without... ANYONE else around who could help if anything goes badly. His only recourse if it does... is the nearby warp gate.

But he refuses to back down when faced with Odin's overwhelming presence. He gazes back into those eyes with his own amber ones fiercely. Yet, still... no hostility at all. "You really did come...!" Nevertheless, he's surprised a bit.

Shirou clears his throat, then... "It's those things you said in our last few encounters. You acted like that guy who I called to help wasn't just your enemy, but everyone else's as well."

Odin probably won't have any trouble detecting the worry in the boy's tone.

Odin (576) has posed:
Odin stares at Shirou for a moment, those eyes narrow slightly before his features soften, "You called me here to speak with me about /them/? Is this truly what you desire to use your favor on?" The armored Elder Primal crosses his arms over his chest. "Be it not mine to question."

Odin then looks at him before tilting his head slightly, "'Tis this what ye truly desire of the favor?"

Emiya Shirou (560) has posed:
"There's a lot of things I'd want to say to you if I had the chance. even more things I'd like to ask." His tone's about as rough and frustrated as it gets. "Like what your story is from before Urth, how you plan on keeping up this crazy quest while angering dozens of people or even why you like fighting so much, because I don't get most of those things. Hrmph." He even folds his arms. "I don't want your help in a fight if it means a bloodbath, that's totally against what I'm fighting for. So... yeah. I want to know about that man, whoever he works for and what they want to do. They talk about dealing with the Primals and great gods in a way nobody else does. They even have you getting riled... how can I ignore that?"

Odin (576) has posed:
Odin inhales deeply closing his eyes for a moment. There is a long silence from the Dark Divinity, before he goes to open his eyes once more to look down at Shirou. "They are a force not to be trusted, for the light denies them and they seek to bring back their own Lord. Yet at the same coin, they are a force whom is known for manipulation and deception-- yet truth coiled and some hidden attentions."

The Elder Primal shakes his head gently. "They are an old ones. They exist beyond time and space and my blade itself may not even be able to rid them entirely if I so tried." He then summons forth his sword, before running his armored glove along the edge. "Yet you have shaken the hand with the devil himself. The one whom is their diplomat and negotiator. For I do not know what they have told you," Odin then looks over to Shirou, "But they will not let you go easily.."

"They have their eyes on you, boy.. and perhaps even all of your alliance."

Emiya Shirou (560) has posed:
That REALLY makes Shirou's blood run cold. "... crap...!" He should've trusted that gut feeling. He's mentally kicking himself now. Odin can practically HEAR him grinding his teeth while his fists clench up-- although he half-steps back at the appearance of Zantetsuken. "Beyond time and space? ... That's... great, I'd better go find some help about this. ... I don't doubt your words at all..." Shirou grunts. This is a horrible blunder. Who should he turn to? should he try and solve this himself?

The instant THAT thought strikes he faces a sudden chill down his spine. No, that's suicide.

"... then I'll just have to deal with this..." He's now rubbing his face furiously...

Odin (576) has posed:
Odin watches as Shirou seems to fret over this. He simply raises an eye brow before he continues, "The Paragons have a reason of interest in you, boy. They will not see harm done to you nor to any one you care about. That much I am sure of."

"After all, /He/ has done much already to assure your trust and protect you and yours. Do not act hasty in whatever it is you choose. Perhaps play the piper, as he plays you?"

Emiya Shirou (560) has posed:
"...." Shirou's expression freezes for a bit while he thinks on that, and an uneasy expression falls over his face... followed by an exasperated, weary sigh not quite fitting for his youthful years at all. "Right, not a bad idea. Hopefully they're not paying attention right now." There's a reason he hasn't called the man by name. He heard before. He might hear again!

He's calm again soon enough. More or less. "That could be bad news for the other Primals. This doesn't bother you at all?" He IS surprised at Odin's helpful advice here.

Odin (576) has posed:
Odin's eyes narrow slightly, "The other Primals do not concern me. Many of them are a blight to the light, others have forgotten their way.. while many.. feel betrayed. They are a danger to the light right now-- and I myself am only exempt by the fact I do not require aether as they do.. at least.."

Odin looks down at his gloved hand about then, before summoning away his blade. "I have answered your questions on the one you asked. I now return back to my aetheric rest.." The Elder Primal then goes to turn away from Shirou.

Emiya Shirou (560) has posed:
THIS has Shirou blinking a bit. He was not expecting THAT from Odin at all. The boy makes a consternated sound, while thinking on this. Then he comes to a startling realization as Odin's turning away, and takes a few steps forward frantically, arm outstretched! "wait! one moment! The Paragons, you called them. You didn't say what they're actually trying to DO!"

Odin (576) has posed:
Odin looks over his shoulder about then, staring at Shirou as the boy frantically asks him. There was a long moment of silence, as those glowing eyes stare at Shirou. Then with a gentle breath he speaks, "Only the Paragons known what the Paragons will do."

Emiya Shirou (560) has posed:
Shirou's sudden surge of worry dies down... replaced with a lurking, ugly feeling in his gut instead. The hand is lowered. And the boy's shoulders sag. ".. I see. Sorry... alright, I guess that concludes things. If there's a next time I'll try to make it more favorable!" His tone finally lightens, but honestly, what can he really offer Odin? Not much. "And thanks. You gave advice even when just asked a question." Finally, he shows something of a smile too!

Odin (576) has posed:
Odin stares at Shirou for a moment before he goes to walk away once more, as he does his voice echoes a bit on the wind as his form takes to the unholy fog, "See you on the battlefield again, boy." Before the fog simply vanishes.

Emiya Shirou (560) has posed:
With Odin vanishing... Shirou flops onto his back with a loud THUMP, only to exhale. That was insane. He didn't expect the warrior to be so straightforward. "heh... a warrior's honor, huh..." That's respectable. "I've definitely gotten in a troublesome bind..."
