Serori (37) has posed:
EARTH-4555. Home to the World Martial Arts Tournament, and a planet that's been at peace for two prosperous years. The land is varied but beautiful, the economy prosperous, the cities healthy and vast, the people overall good-natured -- it's paradise compared to many other Earths like it. Why, the Confederacy's not even taken aggressive action against the world since Vegeta's fall! The natives have good reason for feeling safe and confident.

That's all about to change.

Outside the planet's second largest city, on a grassy campus all its own, the white dome-shaped buildings labeled CAPSULE CORP stand in peaceful gathering. A few security guards and security drones mill about the exterior, but that's about it. It's a sunny day, like one of those Disney Princess kind of days where the birds are probably singing the same song all together.

Inside, people are hard at work. Innovating, tinkering, engineering, whatever. Coming up with the latest and greatest in robotics and capsule technology, and building it, too. One of the larger buildings hums with power -- the campus's local generator, no doubt -- and somewhere down in a greasy engineering bay, an old man in a lab coat talks to the black cat on his shoulder.

The main security guard is asleep at his station. The second guy beside him is more interested in his coffee than the monitors in front of him. That's too bad, because they might notice the activity outside, if they were a little less lax. The big thing looming in the distance, and the streak of light descending from it and blasting toward the campus like a missile.

Serori had been aboard Gaius van Baelsar's Dreadnought to see his troops preparing for action, but after getting an eyeful, she disembarked to spearhead the attack. The wind whips around her figure as she comes to a halt directly above Capsule Corp's main residential building, and broadcasts a local request for the facility to stand down.

Vegeta (663) has posed:
Shortly after Serori, a familiar to anyone on Earth ship descends from the sky and hovers at least fifty feet above Capsule Corp. It looks like Frieza's space ship, the one Vegeta often lived in when he wasn't in the capital. But closer inspection suggests that it's not quite the same, lacking the large glass window in the front, really lacking any sign of a front at all, and being more uniform all the way around.

Vegeta sits in a chair in front of an incredibly large quad screen monitor, at least the size of a movie theater's, watching Serori's advance. He doesn't send his men, they're in the ship waiting for orders from her. What Vegeta is going to do, who even knows... "Someone bring me one of those alien cockroach leg things."

Dracula Vlad Tepes (83) has posed:
'A sunny day' is not usually the sort of place the Lord of Darkness can adjust to, but considering the situation, he's chosen to make some efforts in that regard.

Of course, it's not entirely clear /where/ he is at first. No towering man in regal robes strides toward Capsule Corp. No giant abomination taking the form of a demon or dragon moves to obliterate the landscape. For once, Dracula is somewhat more subtle.

The Dreadnought's shadow is taken up by a dark fog rolling along the ground, creeping like a living entity in its own right. Ominous yet silent, the fog makes a steady approach toward the target in brooding compliment to Gaius's ship, allowing the much less restricted members of the Confederacy to make progress before Dracula moves in himself.

Gaius Van Baelsar (522) has posed:
The Dreadnought has been making her way for the battle sight. Men were moving into positions and the Vanguards were being prepped for drop along with the Juggernaughts. The massive black steel airship looms high above the sky, until it slowly starts to descend down a bit to get into combat range for its missile platforms, automated cannons, and drops.

Also perhaps to allow Serori to disembark far easier at her leisure.

The Dreadnought was several miles long, perhaps even two football fields-- as no has ever tried to honestly give the Dreadnought a measurement. Onboard the lights changed to red as it prepared for battle stations, with the alarms alerting everyone to move. Like clock work, everyone knew where to go and be there before the real operation began.

Outside a blue flicker wraps around the Dreadnought as its Magitek forcefield kicks on to protect the more important areas. With that final flicker of blue, the field seems to vanish for a moment. It is about then that dropships start to leave from the hangers sides, transporting down the troops for ground level. The bottom hangers opened to allow the Juggernaughts to drop down and take flight and as several Dropships got closer to ground they either offloaded Garlean Troops, Vanguard drones, that activated from their prone state to rise up to their twelve foot height, or anyone else who wanted to catch a ride.

As for Gaius Van Baelsar, he was already ahead of most of his men. Had teleported down to the ground surface and walking across the fields toward the battle area. His men would catch up with him, but for now he walked with calmness and no weapon being held in his hands. At least not yet...

Trunks (479) has posed:
Just soon after Serori disembarks, Trunks can be seen soaring behind her, a white aura trailing behind him. Vegeta's ship is quietly noted. Daddy really is back....But right now probably isn't the best time to dwell on that.

Instead he is hovoring above Capsule Corp, silenting hoping this encounter doesn't turn violent. Capsule Corp may be somewhat important to him, if not him, then his mother; it would shame to see it turn to rubble...But this is the Dragin Ball we're talking about, and when is it ever that easy?

Vanessa Selby (323) has posed:
Normally, Vanessa wouldn't be interested in such matters. Having heard what the Dragon Balls can do though had got her attention. It sounded like it was going to be a lot of work but if she managed to get what she wanted, it would be worth the trouble. Overhearing the sudden activity she awakes from her nap yawning. It looks like they had arrived at their destination as gets onto her feet. There certainly were a lot of forces present for a simple heist, she assumes they were taking this quiet seriously.

She focuses her attention on the Capsule Corp's windows and they begin to ice over. It couldn't hurt to make them even less noticable after all. Of course they might still be be able to hear the activity outside, but there wasn't much Vanessa could do about that. Once the windows are obscured enough, she exits the ship joining the rest of the invading force.

Raditz (486) has posed:
There aren't many reasons to try to raid the Capsule Corps Vaults. The Capsule Technology itself, while ahead of the curve in mass production and miniaturization and transportation of stuff, is not the likely motivation for showing up here.

If Raditz's hunch is correct, and he hates it when he's right, then this raid is for a single device...

The Saiyan rockets into the air above the city, and goeswide eyed at the sheer amount of manpower Serori brought along for this, before he growls and erupts with power as he transforms. Once the Gold and Green adorn his features, Raditz rockets back down into the ground, through the fog and drops down with a shockwave, putting himself between the Corporation, and everyone else.

"As much as I appreciate the Christmas gift, Serori, that doesn't excuse the fact -YOU KEEP GIVING ME REASONS- to hate you!" He roars out, very specificaly to Serori.

Admiral Merlwyb (595) has posed:
Why, oh why does trouble have to compound itself every bloody time?

Bad enough that Gaius' Twelve-forsaken Dreadnought has left Eorzean airspace, which usually heralds Garlean interference in Multiverse matters. Then there was the alert over Union channels that a facility called 'Capsule Corp' is under siege by Confederate forces. It doesn't take a Garlond Ironworker to put two-and-two together, and the Admiral has had quite enough of wanton Garlean activity in non-Eorzean matters.

Following Raditz's lead is a legion of Maelstrom soldiers, all clad in the red trenchcoat of Limsa Lominsa and all riding armored chocobos. Almost all manner of Eorzean discipline is represented in the Maelstrom ranks, but the axes of Marauders and staves of both Thauramurges and Conjurers seem to be the most numerous.

Leading the charge is the black trenchcoat-clad figure of Admiral Merlwyb herself, who has one hand gripping the reins of her own Chocobo steed while the other is already clutching one of her trademark flintlocks. A sweeping snap of her arm brings the Malestrom forces into a straight calvary line, aiming to cut off the Garlean forces on foot from Raditz and the facility.

Eleanor Lamb (40) has posed:
Eleanor Lamb was nervous. Who wouldn't be against these odds? Several Saiyans, the might of the Garlean Army, and whoever the hell else they've got tucked away inside the damn place. Nerves are good though. Nerves keep you alive. They keep you in one piece if you don't let them rule you.

There's an thrill though, as Eleanor Lamb follows the Admiral in. She's run the calulations. She can concievably stand up to at least one of the Saiyans out there. More than one will be problematic. "Admiral, you handle the troops. I shall cut the snake's head off."
The seals snap shut, and the rest of the suit's systems go online. The dull green lights of the helmet go red, and she moves from a trot into a full sprint, long loping strides across hill and grass and tarmac. The Big Sister is now a bronze and silver streak dashing for the Saiyans.

Serori (37) has posed:
Serori's broadcast is heard across Capsule Corp's speakers. The guards at the monitors are startled awake and alert, but so shocked at what they see that their next actions are delayed. Shaking hands reach for two separate control panels. Sleepy picks up a red phone, and Donut punches a few buttons, bringing the security system online.

BRRRIIIING! BRRRIIIING! Doctor Briefs looks up from the tiny circuit board in his hands to glance at the wall-mounted phone beside him. The cat stares at it, too. A moment later, he reaches over, picks up the phone, and gives his usual cheery greeting. "Oh, is that the problem? No, no, I think my daughter would be unhappy if we opened up the company vaults without approval. You've activated the system? Oh, wonderful! Yes, I think it likely the Union will send a response. Not to worry. Yes, I suppose you'd better call her, too. I'll be up in a jiffy."

Doctor Briefs hangs up the phone, pats his cat, and leaves his work table.

Outside, two of the domes peel back in seconds to reveal two massive anti-air cannons. Six garage door shutters slam open to let loose a large collection of security drones. Inside another hangar-sized building, men in uniform begin hopping into a few armed aircraft, while others suit up in armor and grab firearms. If you think Bulma Briefs spent the last two years doing nothing but modeling and making gadgets, well...you've got another thing coming.

All over the campus, red lights are blazing. Alarms are howling. So much for yielding to demands.

Serori lets out a scoff and pokes at her scouter's controls. "So, they don't want it to be easy, hm? I'm sorry, Trunks." She looks over her shoulder at the youth. "I'll need your expertise to get to those vaults. I'll make sure you have cover; go, and bring me the Dragon Radar. Do it quickly, and we'll minimize whatever happens here."

At that -- and after a few other terse commands -- Serori starts to drop toward the ground, her eyes on a single highlighted figure wreathed in gold.

Her plunge becomes enhanced by power. Halfway to him, her figure flashes, becoming a bright yellow force to match his own. The boost transforms her into a living missile, and she throws herself at him with all her force.

Several miles away, the city's locals have been alerted to the trouble at Capsule Corp. It's kind of hard to miss what's going on, y'know? Someone gets on the phone with someone else, and the under-appreciated military begins to stir...

Vegeta (663) has posed:
The circle on top of Vegeta's ship slides open, and suddenly around fifty soldiers fly out and begin dropping around the campus perimeter. They all look ready to fight, and some of them are even taking bites from various pieces of meat. No reason not to totally abandon meals on a mission.

Vegeta himself is the last to rise from the ship. He flies high above it, at least one-hundred feet. Then he starts to power up. "Haaaaaaaaaaaaaa..." He doesn't transform though, he just keeps powering up, hair occasionally flashing yellow as black clouds and thunder build in the sky. The ground shakes a bit for a few miles out, tides rise, and finally he bursts past his first level and goes straight for the second.

He keeps the energy wild and unrefined, completely unlike he usually does it, like his training has regressed by a few years. "Who knew this would actually have a tactical advantage." he says with his arms crossed, staring down at Dracula's presumed position. The area is totally dark now, sun blocked out by incredibly thick clouds. "As long as I keep this power flowing without bothering to contain it, the weather is going to stay ridiculous."

Eleanor Lamb (40) has posed:
Miss Lamb does not need this, she does not need any of this today. She was supposed to be Christmas Shopping and Decorating and- She leaps forward one more time, a massivle blast of TK propelling her forward in a graceful arc in towards the front of Vegeta's line of Sayian fighters.

Well, maybe not quite the front. Maybe that big guy nearish the front, the one with the turkey leg at a fight for some bloody reason. He shall do nicely. Eleanor Lamb, the Big Sister, lets out her keening, wailing awful battle cry and dives right in, lancing downward with her massive needle. Let us see what Saiyan blood tastes like.

Vanessa Selby (323) has posed:
Vanessa's ears lift at Raditz's comment and she cringes a bit at him, "None of us are deaf, you don't have yell at the top of your lungs." She's almost tempted to go over and punch him but she has orders to be elsewhere. She notices as the security drones go live and the alarms blazing. On second thought she would prefer Radit'z yelling about now. It was time to go to work. Ice crystals start to fly everywhere as she tries to take the drones off-line and not hit her allies in the process.

The fox-girl and a group of Gaius's men make their way to the security station to try and take it offline. It would certainly be a lot easier if the drones weren't harrassing them. "Moving targets are such a pain."

Raditz (486) has posed:
There's a moment where Raditz glares at the oncoming bunch of people, before he gathers energy into his hands and sweeps his arms about, releasing them as a beam, but not aiming for anyone in particular. Instead, he uses those beams to carve a line along the ground, just in front of the invading force. "Cross that line, and you're dead."

Raditz twitches as he growls at Vegeta's presence, "Great, he's here too... Why is he powering up like that? That's a complete waste of energy and time..."

And THERE'S A Serori! Raditz shifts his focus and plants his feet into the ground and completely Body Blocks her. Which of course also mean's he's taking it almost full on, with a defensive shift to his stance to keep himself from getting completely hurt. He's also doing this so he can grab Serori by the neck if he can, and tries to yank her off the ground.

"SO WHAT WISH IS IT?! Don't tell me its Immortality, because only stupid and crazy and asshole people wish for that!" With that aims to try to slam Serori into the ground and follow it up with SEVERAL hard hitting punches to the gut to show he means business.

Dracula Vlad Tepes (83) has posed:
Vegeta demonstrates a creative method of blotting out the sun, and Dracula would be a fool not to take advantage of it. The moment the sky turns to darkness, the black fog rolls out and spreads across the ground, creeping specifically toward Raditz. And as it moves, it grows.

The creeping fog almost seems to literally be dragging itself along the ground, but the formation of a literal arm makes that all the more apparent. The reptilian limb bursts out of the fog, covered in scales of green and brown and easily the size of a truck on its own. A single sharp, wing-like fin lines its forearm up to the albow, and as sharp claws dig into the earth, it drags the rest of its form with it. Broad shoulders, a muscular back, a draconic head. The beast's maw opens in a bellowing roar aimed at Raditz once its horned form pulls out of the fog, and a second arm drags out to follow. Blazing red eyes like hellish flames fixate on the saiyan king, and the rest of the fog behind the massive demon coalesces into an unexpected lower body: serpentine, yet segmented and lined with sharp, armored legs, resembling some kind of draconic centipede.

Dracula's voice comes from the creature's mouth as it slithers forward, though his tone is accompanied by deep, reptilian snarls behind every word. Lips curl in a sneer, baring sharpened fangs and licking flames. "Raditz! What a pleasure to see you in person. A little...smaller than I expected, however, I must admit. The King of All Saiyans is not quite so grand as his reputation implies."

Dracula's bellowing laughter comes only moments before one heavy fist is hurled forward to simply /punch/ Raditz away from Serori with something about as large and sturdy as he is.

Gaius Van Baelsar (522) has posed:
On the bridge of the Dreadnought the radar alerts of anti-air systems below, including possible fighters inbound. Order are swiftly being given and shields are slowly brought up to full power encase any of those anti-air measures come their way. They don't know what to expect from this planet.

And the Multiverse has shown to the Garleans they are just another small fish in the very large pound. Because while they may be the technological power of Hydaelyn-- that is not the case elsewhere.

Though as the clouds starts to gather, a few of those at the controls can only stare in amazement. To have such power, some think, how wonderful that would be...

--------------

Once the battle is underway and Gaius attention to brought to the Maelstrom he can only look in their direction, before he looks over as the Primus Ordinarius quickly jogs to his side. Giving the man a gentle nod.

The Primus Ordinarius then places his hand to the side of his helm, "Send in the reapers. Blast those riders off their damnable horse-birds followed in by the Vanguards. Cohort, break off into Century positions and join in as Manpulis. One and two, follow in after the Reapers and Vanguards. Three and four, aid with the assault. Five and six, you are to come with me."

The Primus Ordinarius then looks to Gaius Van Baelsar as he says with a bit of haste in his voice, "..and for all that is mercy, watch the fire. We have civilians in the area and we do not need to make a diplomatic incident." As he lowers his hands, he readies his gunblade. "..Best of luck to you, My Lord."

"Luck--" Gaius says calmly as he reaches around to his back to draw out the Hiersbane, "Has nothing to do with it. At your station, Primus Ordinarius."

"Yes My lord!" and the man quickly jogs off to meet with the others.
5rAt least two hundred men charge in to aid with capturing the the needed location. Another two hundred act as line defense along side a few Reapers-- giant mechanic riding machines with automatic machine guns and cannons-- while another set charge right in for the Maelstrom.

Gaius however does not run, he only walks calmly toward where the Admiral is at. His void eye lens stare directly at her before he at last calls out over the rush of battle, "Admiral! Face me if you darest have the courage! Show me what Cid nan Garlond has given onto you!"

Serori (37) has posed:
Some robots converging on Selby are bipedal and carrying blaster-cannons in place of hands. Some drones are aerial, high-mobility targets with weak armaments but the ability to harass at inconvenient times. Both go to work dodging ice crystals as she unleashes her attacks. Some -- the aerial drones in particular -- are successful; but, just as many fall in showers of cartoonish sparks and shrapnel. 'Injured' robots continue to fight, except for those 'wounded' through their torsos, where their central CPUs are stored.

The door to the security complex is heavy, and it's locked.

Raditz (486) has posed:
There's something gratifying about a chokeslam. It just feels good to nail. Raditz doesn't get more than one or two punches in when he's blindsided by Dracula's transformed punch of evil!

Raditz had all the time to look up when his attention was called for, and he gets sent flying off of Serori, crashing into the building side and breaking through a wall.

There's a moment of quiet, before Raditz bolts back out of the hole he made and growls, glaring at Dracula and shifting into a more aggressive stance, "So... You're Dracula... Neat. I expected pale and fangy... And yeah, I'm not super tall, but compared to Vegeta I'm gigantic."

There's a pause as Raditz's glance returns to Serori, and then back to Dracula, "Somehow I don't think you're going to let me break Serori's spine." With that, Raditz roars and gathers energy into his palms before beginning to throw a flurry at the master Vampire Field Marshal.

Vegeta (663) has posed:
While Vegeta is continuing to keep his power flared in order to disrupt the weather, his men gladly march into Capsule Corp to fight the armed men, and shove any unarmed people away when they see them. They keep blasts to a minimum, being more comfortable with their hands anyway.

The Big Saiyan, Bruzel, chomping down on his turkey, stares down at the Big Sister with his wild hair going every which way. He's covered in scares, and his eyes widen when excitement when she approaches. "You look like somethin' delicious!" he states as he bites the tip of the bone so that it begins jagged and sharp, then he thrusts it forward, trying to stab her in the stomach.

Serori (37) has posed:
The guns flanking Capsule Corp begin to spool their energy reserves. Lights along their barrels warm up from a pale white to a blazing orange, and a smoldering collection of embers appears in the depths of each barrel. Deep, rumbling whines echo across the region, and those nearest to the guns feel an electric tingle run across their exposed skin.

No more than a second later, the guns fire.

Two huge blasts go blistering toward the Dreadnought's largest deployed forces. Anything caught in the path of those beams can be assumed to meet a Very Bad End.

Meanwhile, the human and robot defenders begin to pull up into tight formations. Well-trained for this eventuality, the men and women of Capsule Corp form defensive barriers using tactical shields, and many throw down capsules which burst to reveal miniature defense turrets. These face Gaius's approaching army, and the wrath of the aggressive saiyans.

Serori's too in the thick to keep an eye on the big picture. An angry Raditz /does/ tend to be distracting! Caught about the throat by his wrathful grasp, she chokes on her breath and on her next words, her silence ensured even as Raditz throws her down and pulverizes her stomach between two quick punches. Serori's armor cracks. Pain breaks her angry scowl.

The hits are stunning, but not enough to keep a Super Saiyan from the fray. As soon as Dracula strikes Raditz away from her, she rolls onto her hands and knees, then springs up into a lunge that sends her racing toward Eleanor Lamb. As Bruzel engages Eleanor from the front, Serori comes at her from the rear, tossing a quick explosive orb Eleanor's way.

Serori (37) has posed:
In the distance, jet engines scream across the skies. Two wings of military aircraft race toward the scene, and tanks and soldiers rumble across the roadways, hurrying to engage and end the war before it can swallow any other corner of the world.

Eleanor Lamb (40) has posed:
That turkey leg indeed pierces at Eleanor's suit, the jagged bone slicing through the first layer of cloth and stopping against something strong and flexible, much like the armor the Saiyans wear. There's little reaction from the Lady in the Suit. The speaker on her helmet crackles though, and a rather ominous voice intones.
"Funny... I was thinking the same thing."

The girl's hands EXPLODE into force, a massive WHIPCRACK of telekinesis lashing out at the mass of fighters, knocking them back away from the Big Sister as she lets out keening wail of noise, and pounces forward on the scarred Bruzel. This time, that needle comes down daggerlike, aiming for the big fellow's heart.

Admiral Merlwyb (595) has posed:
Admiral Merlwyb sees the battlefield unfold before her, already planning and counter-planning. But for the strange soil and the Dreadnought hovering much closer than memory serves, the scene almost reminds her of Carteneu pre-Calamity. An eye twitches. She still has yet to avenge Vicky.

A harsh laugh rips from the Admiral's chest as Gaius issues his challenge, pulling the reins of her chocobo to a halt. "If /I/ darest have the courage? 'Tis an insult coming from /ye/ of all wenches, Garlean dog!"

She half turns to a male Roegadyn Sea Dog to her right, clad in a more ornate red-and-white Lominsian trenchcoat with tinted goggles over his eyes. "Storm Marshal, the troops are yours. Let none interfere regardless of what transpires, unless the Garleans are less honorable than their master."

"Aye, Admiral!" Storm Marshal Eynzahr Slafyrsyn takes forefront of the calvary charge as the Admiral herself splits away. "Quarter and Aethers, dismount and mind the machinations! Calvary, with me!"

The mages of the Maelstrom leap off their mounts, calling upon their respective elements to send waves of stone, fire, wind, and thunder at the Garlean forces. Some Conjurers instead weave barriers of aether, intended to shield their bretheren from the attacks. Other soldiers dismount as well, about half of these forming a line of muskets and flintlocks to send a volley downrange while the others follow the calvary, weapons bared. The calvary itself meets the foot soldiers head-on, spearing against their frontlines with weapons swinging.

The Admiral herself relases the reins of her chocobo, controlling her steed with ease from the saddle as she opens fire with both flintlocks at Gaius.

Vanessa Selby (323) has posed:
Of course Vanessa isn't that skilled at dodging and she finds herself quickly getting singed by the blasters. "Take out the drones, while I deal with the door," She orders Gaius's men. It felt good to be giving orders to someone again. It takes her a moment to come with an idea of how to break in. Even if she froze it shut, she wouldn't likely be able to produce enough force on her own to shatter it. Instead she begins to craft a huge block of ice crudely into the shape of a tank. It would take a moment to finish this, so hopefully she wouldn't get too distracted as she creates.

Dracula Vlad Tepes (83) has posed:
"How remarkably astute of you," Dracula retorts, his voice like a crocodile's snarl. He pulls his arm back once that punch has been delivered and Serori darts off, curling his fingers from their earlier fist as his attention remains fixed on Raditz. "No, I will not simply allow you to do so unchecked. You will have to blast a hole through me first. Several, in fact."

Raditz seems very keen on doing just that. Several blasts fly toward the Lord of Darkness, and in this form, evasion isn't really an option. Fortunately, that's what armor is for: his arm lifts in front of him, and the energy shots crash and burst against his hard scales, shards sent flying from the impact. It's not something Dracula will be able to manage permanently, considering the steaming flesh that shows when he lowers his arm again, but it's enough to hopefully strike in some intimidation and spare his more vital parts.

"A powerful shot. Just what I expected," the demonic dragon laughs, casting his arm aside and curling his many-legged tail around him on the ground. "Now it is /my/ turn. Come, minions of flame! Burn this wretch in unending torment! Use his flesh as your fuel!"

Dracula spreads his powerful arms wide, and with that gesture the ground at either side of him suddenly erupts. Two giant serpents of roiling flames burst out of the earth, winding and dancing around one another through the air. The hellish dragons quickly change course, however, speeding toward Raditz to smash right into him with an abrupt burst of firey power when they impact.

Trunks (479) has posed:
The apology from Serori is responded by a simple wave by Trunks as if shrugging it off. "Understood. I'd be disappointed if they didn't fight back." The soliders, drones and other members of the Capsule Corp security are examined.

Mama has certainly been busy. Taking flight, Trunks advances towards the vaults, doing barrel rolls to avoid bullets and energy, alike. Hopefully Bulma hasn't changed any codes in the past year. "Merry Christmas, Capsule Corp," he says as beams of energy escape his hands firing into the army.

Eleanor Lamb (40) has posed:
The blast SMASHES into Eleanor's back, the tanks on her suit crumpling slightly, a hissing coming from the tops of them. Dammit. Eleanor snarls in her helmet, VERY INTENT on making sure at least one of these fools feels some pain before she's taken over.

Gaius Van Baelsar (522) has posed:
The two massive beams come in and a few Juggernaughts get caught in the fire, exploding on impact, several more juggernaughts however swiftly fly around and start to unload their own assault down at the anti-air cannons.

As the beams race upward they skim across the shielding of the Dreadnought, the beams colors brilliant displayed across the brilliance of the blue shield. The impact does shake the Dreadnought, but she holds steady and true. It is not long till several missiles are fired in kind.

The missiles rain down toward the anti-air cannons, exploding on whatever they impact with in a blue blast of fire and smoke from the explosive volatile ceruleum within.

As the Dreadnought about then picks up on the moving forces, orders come in. Soon several Juggernaughts break off to go meet the jets that are coming in, but they will soon not be alone. Sleek black airships rise out from the hangers, with machine guns on the wings, missiles in bays, and a cannon in the front. Unlike jets, the Interceptors work just as the Dreadnought. It can hold position and open fire and turn in the air without moving.

While the Juggernaughts act as the 'bait' and attempt to rain havor by the way of anti-air bullets. The Interceptors go to form a line in the skies, their missile bays open and then missiles fly through the air in order to catch the incoming jet fighters in the distraction being made by the Juggernaughts.

---------

As the forces move in with the Saiyan warriors they aim their blades toward the shield wielding corp and open fire, as their ceruleum bullets fly true exploding on impact and attempting to bite through the very shields.

It is when the turrets come into play does things get hair. A few men are shot down to the ground, the kevlar vests though doing their job to keep them alive at least a few. It is here that a few men toss some Ceruleum detonators, which are like grenades but with timers. As soon has they get close to the turrets they go to explode with blue fire and flames rising into the air.

---------

Gaius stands his ground as the Admiral starts to rush in. His hand tightly gripping along the hilt of his gunsword. It is when she opens fire, does his hand move with speed with his blade. The bullets being cut down by the sword, never stepping in-- letting her get in closer.

It is then does the Garlean Legatus shove off with his foot to charge right in for the Admiral and goes to tackle the woman right off her Chocobo, though hit or miss, he has to quickly catch himself and roll back up to his feet.

Serori (37) has posed:
"Oh? Is that Trunks on the premises?" Doctor Briefs strides into the monitor room within the main residence. He pushes up his glasses with his nose. "I'm going to have to have a word with Bulma about that boy's upbringing." He smiles to himself as he sits down at a terminal, and swings a special control panel with dual joysticks into his comfortable reach. "Nothing to do about it now, I suppose. At least he's got spirit."

Bulma's mother pokes her head around the door frame and holds up a kettle. "Would you like any tea, dear husband?" Doctor Briefs nods once after giving the notion some thought.

Then, he pushes a big red button.

The forces standing in Trunks's way are easy enough for him to mow down. Surprisingly, the robots are capable of taking more than one or two indirect hits, though his precise aim guarantees that he's making good progress. With flight his advantage, he's also escaping most of the bullets and blaster fire aimed back at him. Still, these defenders keep their heart despite falling back and back. As Trunks comes up on the building's sealed door, one of them even yells at him: "Trunks! Think about what you're doing!"

The door is sealed. A computer pad next to it requires a passcode in order for Trunks to enter.

From the main hangar, several aircraft finally come zipping out to challenge the saiyans. Their lines are strafed by bullets.

Behind them, two bright circular lights snap into existence. A slight whine is followed by a heavy thump, and then another. The lights shudder, and move slightly up and down in time to the thumps.

Doctor Briefs's voice comes booming out from a large speaker strapped to the head of that robot: "Forces of the Confederacy, welcome to Capsule Corp!"

The robot emerges from the hangar.

Dozens of highly-precise miniature missiles take to the air, each aimed at the main Confederate threats. Some even go streaking toward Vegeta.

Raditz (486) has posed:
Raditz isn't completely dense, nor is he a coward. Watching for weak spots is a thing that a smart Warrior does, and he can't help but smirk as he notices that he has managed to get some damage on Dracula.

However, fireball-dragon things get sent flying at Raditz, prompting the Saiyan to bolt up into the air, getting grazed by the wings of one of the blasts on his arm. He clutchs his arm in reflex, though he growls and doesn't stay still, instead opting to bolt back down towards Dracula and flies at him, head first. Into the giant dragon's face.

Impact or no, Raditz flips tries to get in close and throws a flurry of fists at him, trying to break into Dracula's face.

Vegeta (663) has posed:
"And who the hell do you think you are, robot?!" Bruzel asks as he doesn't even wait to be surprised by his attack not working, he goes running right into her... right before the needle stabs directly into his heart. He almost tries to pull back, but the saiyan is entirely stunned.

Meanwhile, the Anti-Anti-Air Gun Task Force of four saiyans fly together to fling blasts at it, trying not to destroy -too- much, but very much testing the validity of guns having blood or not.

Vegeta, however, sees what Eleanor is doing, his eyes wide. He can't move from where he is and continue powering up like this. But even though he gave Serori command of the saiyans, he always has a backup plan. "Seventeen, Eighteen! Kill that abomination!" he shouts in his absolute rage, energy flaring up again as balls come flying out toward those drones who streak up toward him, trying to slow them down a bit.

That's when the two androids ascend from Vegeta's ship. They have subdued smiles of mild amusement, flying down toward Eleanor as Eighteen holds her hand up, waving at Serori with simply her fingers and saying, "We'll take care of killing her, you just do whatever it is that you're doing." They seem to have no clue or concern what the mission is.

Serori (37) has posed:
The forces assigned to Vanessa's command come to sharp attention at her order. Focusing their efforts on keeping the defenders at bay gives her the time she needs to start working on that ice tank. She's able to make good progress, though some shrapnel and some indirect hits might chip at the overall form. As Garleans fall injured, the ranks tighten up, but the drones are just as good at responding. Their tactics shift, and their ranks split in an effort to flank Vanessa on either side.

Serori (37) has posed:
"You've always been tough," Serori remarks. She's alighted on the ground, her hand still outstretched in firing pose, her scowl replaced by a smirk. There's a hoarse edge to her voice thanks to Raditz's rough treatment; it's a surprise she can speak at all. Golden hair drifts around her face, never blowing into her blazing green eyes. "But I think in this case you're outnumbered. You can still retreat, Lamb. Capsule Corp means nothing to -- "

Lamb's needle pierces Bruzel's chest, and Serori goes cold. Protective rage replaces her arrogant banter and ignites a storm across her scowling countenance. "HOW DARE YOU?!" And that's when she's kissed by one of Eleanor's telekinetic blasts. Serori is driven back several steps, the pain of impact stunning her senses and briefly numbing her mind to conscious thought. The world trembles.

It still feels wobbly after Eighteen arrives and declares /her/ intent to see Lamb slaughtered. Serori snaps at the Android -- "Make her suffer!" -- and attempts to take off for the skies again.

Oh hey, missiles. Serori's take-off is stopped short. Though the missiles are easily handled, her retreat is delayed.

Dracula Vlad Tepes (83) has posed:
Fortunately for Raditz, the flaming serpents dissolve into the air once they end up mostly missing him. This leaves him open to shoot for Dracula, though, of course, the Vampire Lord isn't dense himself. He can tell what Raditz is aiming for, and he prepares a suitable reponse: his maw opens, flames and shadows licking at his teeth...

...but his aim is ruined by the flurry of missiles that ends up flying at him. A few strike his side, detonating on impact and forcing out a howl of angered pain from Dracula as he's sent lurching aside from the impacts. It's enough of an opening for Raditz to slip in and send his fists crashing against the hard scales on Dracula's head. Plated armor cracks, starting to break under the saiyan's strength, but Dracula isn't going to simply sit and let Raditz assault him.

With remarkable speed, the great dragon lurches his head up, fanged mouth open, and tries to bite down on Raditz /hard/, devouring him whole if he can. He's not trying to /swallow/ Raditz, though; saiyan names aside, Dracula's not stupid enough to send someone still alive right into his stomach. Instead, he's just trying to get Raditz locked into a position where, when he next snaps open his mouth, he can hurl an explosive blast of hellfire and shadow from his throat right at the Saiyan King to send him flying away. Assuming, of course, he even manages to hit.

Vanessa Selby (323) has posed:
The ice tank certainly doesn't look eye-pleasing after the the damage done to it, but it gets the basic concept across. Once it's large enough Vanessa climbs up inside of it and steers it towards the hangar door. It also has the added bonus of shielding from the drone fire and the missile launch but it's being chipped away at piece by piece. The vehicle just needed to stay intact long enough so she can smash through the door with it. Hopefully, her plan works or it's going to look rather embarassasing.

Trunks (479) has posed:
Trunks offers one of the defenders a glance as he makes his way towards thw door. "I am thinking about what I'm doing. The Dragon Radar belongs to the Confederacy, now!" His attention turn to the door and the terminal and he glances between them. Type in the password or blow up the door?

Decisions Decisions...

In the end, he just starts punching numbers into the terminal and on the small screen it reads "ACCESS DENIED" in bold red words. Apparently Bulma HAS changed the password in the last year. No worries. The familar system shouldn't be too hard to hack into to with time.

Admiral Merlwyb (595) has posed:
Admiral Merlwyb's mount is a very large Chocobo destrier, as tall at the shoulder as a human is tall and heavily armored besides. As Gaius charges in for the tackle, the Admiral squeezes her knees into the bird's ribcage and the chocobo twists with an angry 'WARK' to bodily place itself between Admiral and Legatus. To add insult to injury, the chocobo's armored beak swings around to encourage Gaius' tumbling recovery after the tackling attempt.

The Admiral pulls her legs under her to crouch on the center of the saddle and somersaults off, landing easily on both feet with Death Penalty and Annihilator raised. She doesn't open fire yet, having noticed that Gaius was slicing bullets out of the air earlier when at range.

"A mere few months post-Calamity, and ye lot still haven't had yer fill of destruction? Eorzea's state not enough for ye?" Gone is the clipped proper tone of the Admiralty, the snarling pirate captain behind the title now released full-bore. "Truly ye are naught but petty warmongerers, the great Garlean empire reduced to mercenaries offering yer services to the highest bidder!" She suddenly closes the gap between them, Annihilator swinging to parry Gaius' gunblade while Death Penalty barks from both barrels at close-range.

Meanwhile, the Garlean and Maelstrom forces on the ground are locked in combat, neither giving ground to the other. It truly is a recreation of Carteneu, but at least it's keeping the full might of the Garlean force from being brought to bear.

Eleanor Lamb (40) has posed:
The container on the side of that needle is half full before Eleanor hears the launch of the Androids. She yanks free and jumps back, looking up and around at... everything. Right, well, she's made a lot of attnetion for herself after all. Let's hope she can survive it. A final kick to Bruzel's side, before she braces herself for the attack she knows is coming, turning to look over at Serori's position, trying to... bother.
That speaker crackles again. "ISN'T THIS WHAT YOU FOOLS WANT? GLORIOUS COMBAT?" Another blast, though this time fire, another wide circle around herself to dive away anyone foolish enough to get in her way as she- what? The Big Sister starts this one, leaping up at Eighteen in an attempt to grapple the Android to the ground, snarling through her helmet. "THEN YOU SHALL HAVE A FIGHT. I WILL DELIVER THIS TO YOU MYSELF."

Vegeta (663) has posed:
When Bruzel is kicked out of the way, the androids could care less. Eighteen is grappled to the ground, but then he reaches out to try and wrap her arms around the Big Sister herself, then attempts to -squeeze-. "I didn't know you cared. I think she cares, brother." she says while trapped on the ground herself.

Then Seventeen starts flying down like a bullet, foot intending to smash into Eleanor from behind, the two of them apparently planning to double team her. "She appears to be under the impression that we're saiyans." he says to his sister in that sociopathic monotone that they both share.

"Is she incapable of smelling these incredibly high-end bath salts?" Eighteen asks, still under the pressure of Eleanor's strength and weight.

Serori (37) has posed:
Trunks isn't some master-class elite Anon-level hacker, but he knows Capsule Corp's systems inside and out. Though he was Vegeta's protege in combat, he was Bulma's protege in all else, including the fields of intellect, research, and engineering. So yeah, he's picked up on a few tricks.

Unfortunately, Doctor Briefs has an eye on those vaults, too, and he sees exactly what Trunks is doing. The massive robot steers toward his location, and its missile pods have reloaded. "Trunks! This is your grandfather! Is this something your mother would want you to do?"

The big robot seems to tip its body in an inquisitive manner. It brings its guns to bear. "Please step away from the terminal, my boy."

/THOOM/.

The robot's left arm crumples, firing mechanisms shooting sparks, missiles bursting into shrapnel and smoke -- and Serori is in the midst of the mess, having driven both her feet into the robot's limb. Ripping herself free of the twisted wreckage, she nods at Trunks. "I've got you covered -- go! Hurry!"

If Trunks continues, the door flashes green.

Eleanor Lamb (40) has posed:
Eleanor's back arches with the kick at it, another crack in the airtanks on her suit. She snarls inside that helmet, and she mightjust have to take it off if this keeps up. At least she's not underwater. She releases her grip to PUNCH Eighteen in the face. The speaker crackles, but goes dead. Looks like that's out of comission too.

And so, silently, the Sister's body rolls to kicks Eighteen free, another series of fire blasts erupting from her hands as she closes to attack Seventeen this time, an arc of lightning in her fist as she aims a punch right in the Android's face.

Serori (37) has posed:
The anti-air guns are under dual assault. Attacks from both the Dreadnought and the saiyan strike team together disable the western gun, but even after sustaining a direct shot, the eastern gun remains functional! The weapon primed, it rotates on a massive pillar to reorient its trajectory -- right at Vegeta.

The gun fires.

Raditz (486) has posed:
It's not often when you get the chance to be eaten alive. Raditz is scratching this one off his bucket list of things he'd rather NOT do before he dies. He gets chomped down, the teeth stabbing into his body and definitely hurting, as he's send down the gullet... At least until Dracula shunts him back out with a fireball.
Thus out flies a golden haired fireball, which flies off a bit aways into the sky, beyond the clouds...

There's a moment of quiet. Surely Raditz is out for the count, right? Yeeeah, the Saiyan has this bad habit of being incredibly stubborn about being gotten rid of, and he makes it apparent when he ROCKETS back into the battlefield, even faster than before, for the sole purpose of right into Dracula's draconic form, and grabbing the vampire by his neck. Which means wrapping his arms around, as opposed to just his hand. The intent by Raditz is to then rocket back up into the sky, with Dracula in tow, with full intent of tilt-a-whirling him and slamming him back into the geound.

It doesn't even occur to Raditz that the sun might help him.

Gaius Van Baelsar (522) has posed:
The Garlean Forces are doing what they can, though it is a few with their magitek suited armor that charges right in, the bullets impacting their armor from the ground turrets not carrying-- or at least showing no care, as they go to rush in and try to break up the defense line. Using their augmented suits of armors to add to their extra strength and endurance.

Though there is not as many and unlike the Legatus own-- theirs don't have all the neat little tricks, but the armors are still effective.

As for the giant robots, for those on that side when it shows up, they quickly stagger back. They don't have the type of offense in play to handle /that/ and it shows as they take another step back.Even the Centurions are unsure what to do at first. But they however, do not run. For Garleans are trained to never run. There is no retreat once the battle has commenced, not unless for a /very/ good reason-- and this-- this wasn't that reason yet, for their own Legatus was still in battle.

So the Centurion in charge of this group does what he knows best to do, "We need three Vanguards over here, now! Make sure they are equipped with the missile pods."

>>"We only have the V-1 models that can be sent that way."<<

"I don't care! Just do it!"

Though when the missiles come, it scatters a good deal of the forces on the ground near that area, a few of them being claimed in the explosion.

-----

The Dreadnought holds her own, even as a few missiles come her way. The turrets quickly take aim and start to fire out at the missiles coming toward her. The computation system on board along with the men at the helm quickly taking aim to blast down the missiles before they get to the mighty steel airship.

Several of the missiles do find their way. Impacting across the shield and few finding points not protected, blasting off chunks of her heavy hull frame. Yet she continues to remain an eye sore-- or an angel-- depending on which side of the fence you stand on.

-----

Gaius gets back on his feet and the Hiersbane ready at his side. He has no words for the Admiral as she reminds him of the events that unfolded, all but out of his control. The only one who knew, who honestly /knew/ what part Gaius Van Baelsar played in those days was no where to be seen and it would seem Eorzea would forever remind blind to the truth of the entire blight.

As the Admiral moved in, the Legatus quickly stepped around to parry her one strike as she attended and her other weapon open fired at his armored side. The Bullets biting deep into the cermet, kevlar armor, but tough it proved to be.

Gaius used the locked weapons then to shove the Admiral's center of balance off, before lowering his left gauntlet at her firing off several plasma bolts in her direction to back her off. It is here that he at last spoke, "If you believe we have become that of mercenaries, Admiral. You are very wrong in your informed." there was then a pause in his voice before he suddenly broke into a charge at her to slash his sword in a hard cleave, "And I did not enjoy to see Eorzea burn as she did! It was never my desire to ever see her under despair!

Serori (37) has posed:
The Earth's military forces are now arriving. Approaching Capsule Corp from the ground, several tanks and soldier squadrons deploy at once, striking Vegeta's saiyan army from behind.

As for the inbound aircraft? Gaius's own craft find them easy pickings. Human jet fighters lack the maneuverability and firepower to keep up. Though a few of the jets peel off to come around and return fire, most are shot down in the first engagement, to the dismay of the Admiral in charge of this operation. "Send two additional squadrons! Support our ground forces!" he barks at his crew.

Serori (37) has posed:
Vanessa's tank, meanwhile, has no trouble shooting down the door. The security station is infiltrated; if she's fast, she can shut down Capsule Corp's robot defenders...

Serori (37) has posed:
MEANWHILE MEANWHILE, Doctor Briefs lets out a gasp as the Dreadnought's missiles hit their mark, crippling a portion of the Big Robot's weaponry which Serori's attack failed to damage. The Big Robot is far from decimated, but it's taken a significant hit to its offensive capability.

Vegeta (663) has posed:
Eighteen's head gets punched into the ground, then she finds herself tumbling when she's kicked free, landing on one knee and holding her face. "You punched me in the face... just because you have to hide your repulsive face from the world..."

Seventeen is about to meet her with his own punch, before the lightning sends him spinning back, and he slides on both feet, stopping himself with his hands on the ground before the other blasts start impacting into him, keeping them both on the defensive for the moment with both arms in front of his face. "She's not weak. I think we should rip up her outfit and drown her. Remember that summer in South City?"

"How can I forget?" Eighteen says, right before the two of them point all four of their collective index fingers at Eleanor, then start rapidly firing condensed red lasers at her, attempting to strategically attack the straps of the Big Sister suit.

Vegeta, meanwhile, was a bit distracted trying to hold back drones. He was not at all ready for the big gun that slams directly into him, breaking his concentration. He's already been using up massive amounts of energy to continue flaring his energy to this degree, and lowers down to the top of his ship, hair reverting to black again while he holds his chest and catches his breath. "Damn..."

The sky is still dark, but the clouds are gradually beginning to break, with little beams of sunlight beginning to open up.

Vanessa Selby (323) has posed:
The impact with the door took flattened the front end of the tank, but Vanessa's fine besides being a little shaken up. The door is blocked off with what's left of the tank, so it should buy her sometime while the drones blast through it. She climbs out of what's left of the vehicle. She's not known for her speed but she's already throwing chunks of ice at the computer. She's not a hacker, so her only choice is to wreck the computer. She doubts it's water proof either so she has two ways of destroying if direct attack is inefficient.

Admiral Merlwyb (595) has posed:
Admiral Merlwyb oofs as Gaius' shove puts too much of her own weight on the backfoot, indeed putting her off-balance, and takes a plasma bolt high in the right shoulder on the subsequent barrage. This throws her completely off her feet and to the ground, though this causes the rest of the bolts to fly too high to be of concern.

She rolls back to her feet, rolling her scorched shoulder as she puts the pain of the injury out of her mind. It can still move and she can still pull the trigger on Death Sentence. It wil have to do. "Ye galavand about with more men and equipment than sense, brought to bear for the benefit of whatever Confederate sod require ye most. How else shall I call ye, then?"

She does not meet Gaius' charge head-on, spinning away from the cleave as the wake of the gunblade slices the air behind her. "Yer desire matters not, and has never mattered to begin with. Ye be a Garlean dog, baying at command of yer masters in Garlemald. Ye can claim all ye like, but yer actions before and since bare ye out regardless of yer words." She suddenly lashes out with a high heel kick, aiming to take Gaius head (or helm) off at the chin. "Yer token 'help' in the past is but a salve to assuage yer guilt in yer own eyes, Legatus! Ye cannot hide behind orders!"

Trunks (479) has posed:
Trunks -briefly- (pun totally indended) looks over his shoulder to the massive robot that is Doctor Briefs. "Probably not, but she isn't exactly here, is she? Consider the radar my early Christmas present. Serori, hold him off..." But she's already on the job, he gives her an appreciative nod.

Green light means go, and the door just flies open with a forcful push from Trunks. It's a massive vault...and the Dragon Ball Radar isn't the only object stored there. Once it is located though (Trunks knows the Corp and it doesn't take long), Trunks quietly stores it and heads out of the vault.

Eleanor Lamb (40) has posed:
Eleanor can't fly. That's not a trick she's learned just yet. Which makes it awfully hard to just fly up and around those laser blasts. She does know another trick though.

The Sister's place is suddenly filled with sickly sweet smelling pink and purple smoke, a sickening thumpPOP of displacing air.
And then there's a KICK from one of those bronze boots aimed for the small of Seventeen's back, as Eleanor emerges for a matching cloud of smoke, her right arm now free of the suit, straps slashed off by lasers. She's human underneath, it would seem. There's also some tough looking fabric armor there as well, covering most of her arm and hand. Fingertips and palm are still showing.

Dracula Vlad Tepes (83) has posed:
Dracula, at least, has a moment to recover and observe the battlefield while Raditz is being hurled through the clouds. Things seem to be moving along, though strength is being shown on both sides. So long as he can hold up his part of the battle, this should proceed just fine.

Holding that up, however, might be a little more difficult than initially planned. Just a moment after he's informed of Vegeta's situation and the thinning of the clouds, Raditz comes hurtling in more quickly than Dracula has time to react. And the saiyan is /strong/, enough so that the abomination of a dragon suddenly finds himself tugged up into the air by the neck with a surprised and enraged bellow. He struggles in that flight, claws raking at his throat and Raditz's place on it, but that comes to an abrupt halt when they briefly crash through the clouds.

The sun makes the largest impact so far. For the moment or two Dracula is exposed, his armored scales burn and steam, boiling under the sun's light and coming off in ashen flakes. Dracula /howls/ in pain even before he's hurled to the ground again, an act which actually manages to spare him from further damage.

Incapable of properly flying in this form, he /slams/ back into the shaded ground with an earth-shaking impact, landing crumpled in a mass of scales and chitin before he slithers back into an upright posture. That exposure to the sun seems to have done more than the impact did: steam rises all along his body, and chunks of armor are simply burned away. The dragon snarls in anger before turning his attention back to Raditz.

No words are hurled at the saiyan. Just a long, powerful /roar/ punctuated by blast after blast of hellfire in a repeated flurry aimed straight for Raditz.

Vegeta (663) has posed:
The saiyans pretty much dive headfirst into the Earth's forces. They first blasts, bite people, bite guns, headbutt, break arms, bite arms. They fight like super powered barbarians. One of them even tries to headbutt a tank.

Episode 346: Vegeta is still trying to recover his power on top of his ship.

Seventeen, however, feels that crack of his android back as he goes falling forward on all fours again, groaning. "She's not just a poorly dressed deranged person..." he observes.

But while he's on all fours, Eighteen goes running in a blur, stepping -on- Seventeen to jump off of him and go diving into Eleanor. "HAHAHAHAHA!!!" she suddenly laughs, trying to wrap her legs around the Big Sister's waist with the intent of rapidly slamming her fists into that massive helmet. "Go get water, brother, we're going to drown her!" she declares.

Seventeen still seems hurt though. He starts to stand but something in his back feels damaged. This forces him to fly... he flies -away-, very quickly, leaving Eighteen and Eleanor alone for the moment.

Serori (37) has posed:
The main computer terminal starts to spark and fry under Selby's assault, but its external casing is designed to withstand serious emergencies, including flooding. She's going to need to ramp up the punishment if she wants to get very far!

Outside the security station, Selby's icy cover -- the ice tank she left parked in front of the wrecked door -- is suddenly shrapneled by the next missile barrage to fly from the Big Robot's remaining armaments. Other Confederates come under the assault, too, including Serori, Gaius, and Trunks himself.

Trunks isn't under direct attack, of course. His grandfather wouldn't do that to Bulma. No, the Big Robot is trying to seal Trunks up inside the vault building!

Meanwhile, the anti-air gun is spooled up again. Another shot is about to be let loose at Vegeta...

Eleanor Lamb (40) has posed:
The front of that visor cracks, and... There's a girl inside, eyes blazing, face perfect and flawless, nearly as much so as Eighteen's. But now that the glass is gone, she's able to speak again. "Yes, try to drown me. I can swim faster than you." A kick up at the Android, and...
Eleanor stops to YANK at the straps on her suit, peeling the waist off, dragging herself free of the armored diving suit to get herself free. Underneath is an armored body suit, with quite a few amrks. Where she's been kicked, and that original stab by the big fellow.

She rolls her head and hisses. "If you wish that course COME AND TAKE IT."

Raditz (486) has posed:
Raditz is still kind of up in the sky when the hellfire balls come flying at him. The fact that bringing the vampire into the sunlight being an effective means of dealing with him only just now dawning on him, after noticing the damage it had done, but only AFTER he had sent Dracula back down. "Huh... I should have kept him up here."

And then the fireballs! "Oh crap!" He utters, as he zips about the air avoid the hellfire blasting at him, until finally getting beaned by a small handful and being shot down from the sky. The blasts were powerful enough to shatter his armor off completely, leaving him in his pants as he drops to the ground.

Raditz however comes up with a plan, as he bring his hands to his side, and gathers energy, taking a moment to spin in the air and correct his fall and turn it into a dive.

"KAAAAAA MEEEEEEEEE HAAAAAAA MEEEEEEEE...........!" Raditz utters as he gathers the energy into his hands, focusing it down as he closes in on Dracula during his fall... Once he has the vampire in his sight and close enough, he throws his hands out.

    "HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA....!!!!!!!!"

Raditz sends the energy flying out in a massive beam at Dracula, partially to blast the crap out of him, and partially to break his fall.

Gaius Van Baelsar (522) has posed:
Some of the Juggernaughts are claimed by the jets, some of the Interceptors take some hits, but they are still able to keep fighting. A few Interceptors do break formation to go after those jets that try to beak away, unleashing a volley of machine gun fire. Saving the cannons for anything /big/ that may come their way.

The Vanguards soon arrive, being the last thing the Dreadnought can drop off. They are older models, but that doesn't stop them from being dangerous. the Magitek drones move in toward the large robot, as the shoulder bays open and then start to blast out the Ceruleum missiles.

Any of the forces from the Corps gets in the way of these marching drones, they may find a few drills either being fired in their direction or getting themselves impaled by the cermet and steel machines.

----------

The Dreadnought itself is now having to change positions. It starts to rise back up into the sky, moving up as it goes to use its titanic size to black out the sun below. In hopes to give Dracula the relief he needs from the sun rays and allow him to end his part of the battle once and for all.

---------

As for Gaius, the Legatus has his hands full with the Admiral of Limsa Lominsa.

The kick comes and it slams into the helm of the Garlean commander. The impact clips a bit of the metal work, but the Legatus slowly looks a her with a low rumble. The lines of his suit glow as the Magitek circuits fire to full. With a rush of inhuman speed he goes to grab the Admiral by the shoulder and slam her hard into a tree.

His words calm, but the snarl could be heard. "If not for the actions taken, your land would have been brought to a desolate wasteland. Your false gods could not save you. Your prayers still fell upon deaf ears and if /not/ for my actions, you not have the chance to spit upon all that I have given and protect your lands still from."

Gaius then goes to throw her aside, before there was a click in his gauntlet. "For the Alliance, even when given the second chance, still shows they do not have the strength to even rule themselves. For the might you see here, is a display of what it means to witness complete victory."

The blade of the Heirsbane then crackles with Magitek energy, which takes the form of a blue glow. "For this is no longer just about Hydaelyn..."

Then with a slash in the air with his sword he creates a blue streak that cuts the very light. As he turns around he then fires a bullet into the line, which suddenly propels it forward with all the power of his plasma shot, cutting force of his sword, and explosive properties of Ceruleum. "..It is about the Multiverse itself."

Vanessa Selby (323) has posed:
Vanessa yawns a bit as continues to try and take the computer offline. She's already fairly drained but the machine was still intact. She takes cover as her barricade is shattered and mentally guides the ice into the computer. There was no sense in letting go to waste after all. Massive frozen stalactites form on the ceiling above the computer before they suddenly crack and hurled below. If this didn't destroy the device she has no idea what well. The fox-girl's pretty spent after using all that mental energy.

Gaius Van Baelsar (522) has posed:
It is after Gaius words does he suddenly notice this missiles coming his way.

With a quick step around he raises up his hand and a hexagon pattern forms around ahead of him at which the missiles slam into, exploding around him. The Magitek field blasts into blue wisps of light as it shatters around him, but when the dust settles. The Garlean Commander is still standing there, slowly raising down his hand, with a hiss of steam coming from the Gauntlet at the amount of energy required to do what it had just done.

Vegeta (663) has posed:
Six saiyans who are already inside the building go marching toward the vault. While the rest who are outside are either fighting or following Serori's orders. Such at the Anti-Anti-Air Gun Squad! Those four immediately go after the other anti-air gun, trying to pile on top of it and basically try to punch it until it's no longer functional.

Episode 523: Vegeta is finally beginning to power up again, standing up straight. Though he's taking note of the radio and what the forces are doing, waiting to see what course of action will actually be necessary.

Eighteen lets go of the suit when Eleanor abandons it, gracefully landing and tilting her head with a dainty flick of her hair. "So you're not repulsive. That's surprising. Oh look, my brother is back."

Seventeen is flying back with a white hot tub held above his head. Then he drops it down next to Eighteen. "There were people inside, but I threw them out. Vegeta did say not to kill any unarmed people in Capsule Corp. I'm sure we still held up the spirit of the order."

Eighteen shrugs, then the both of them fly toward Eleanor, beginning a rather vicious physical assault. They toss punches and kicks, all of them aimed to be as bone breakingly brutal as possible. "Come on, I believe in you! You can survive long enough for your drowning!"

Serori (37) has posed:
The human soldiers are not prepared to match saiyan ferocity in much the same way those jets are not prepared to shoot down Garlean aircraft. Though they've got courage, and tactical training and thinking to support it, but after that tank's dented by a saiyan's forehead, more than one guy stops to stare, and to rethink the current assault.

Ah, but this world used to be held by the Planetary Trade Organization, and after Vegeta's throne was usurped, he'd left behind quite a few PTO forces who'd become integrated into Earth society. A sizable squadron of former PTO soldiers suddenly descends from the south, and enages the saiyans on equal footing. Dressed in human military uniform, these soldiers are greeted by cheers from the human soldiers, who rally and begin to push the offensive.

Unfortunately for Capsule Corp -- Selby smashes through the server. Drones and robots converging on the security station abruptly go still and power down into a confused stasis mode. Other drones and robots follow suit, ceasing fire and going slack. Whatever hope there was to push the Confederacy back is suddenly lost. Vanessa's success means no additional robot support will be coming.

One of the Garlean soldiers rushes in to help Vanessa away from the wrecked terminal.

Eleanor Lamb (40) has posed:
Eleanor Lamb's eyes go very wide at the tub and things and goodness we're in trouble. She quickly starts blocking and parrying attacks, or doing so to the best of her ability, arms and hips taking a beating as she tries to start parrying the pair of androinds into each other.

But they are on Goku's world, and this is in fact in the D-B-Zed region of space. Which means Elle is capable of much. She sighs, takes a deep breath and holds out both arms, which quickly encrust themselves in ice. And then with a snarl, she lashes out deep, heavy punches right back at the pair, ducking and weaving and trying to slow their assault. Perhaps she bit off more than she could chew here.

Serori (37) has posed:
The Garlean assault on the Big Robot helps counter the second wave of missiles, and helps prevent a third wave from being unleashed on the area. The robot staggers as more of its plating is peeled away in the blast. Its central body -- large enough for a cockpit -- contains no such thing, it's revealed. The glassy dome of its head is just there to give it some personality, as are the big round eye-like headlights affixed to its shoulder area. "Trunks!" Doctor Briefs cries out through the speakers, sounding desperate to reach his grandson's conscience.

The next barrage reduces the Big Robot to a heavy heap of rubble. It's still big enough and heavy enough to make an effective weapon, however -- especially after Serori rips it off the ground and tosses it Dracula's way.

Vanessa Selby (323) has posed:
Vanessa takes the offered help from the soldier. Her ears are a bit drooped over at this point as she tries to stay awake at least long enough to finish the mission. It would be pretty much up to the others at this point. She's spent mentally and if she uses her powers much more she's going to fall asleep. She tries to keep her eyes open as she watches the ongoing chaos, it didn't seem that Capsule Corp. was going to be able to put much more resistance at this point.

Dracula Vlad Tepes (83) has posed:
The flurry of blasts comes to a halt eventually, leaving Dracula breathing heavily with flames licking at his teeth with each breath. A moment is taken to consider the battleground; Serori's forces seem to have gotten what they came here for, and now the main issue is getting /out/. Dracula seems to have an idea of just what to do for that.

The Dreadnought's arrival is a fortunate one, as it allows Dracula some space to move despite the thinning clouds. As Raditz is charging up, however, he doesn't go for the saiyan, but instead moves his slithering, scuttling form swiftly over to the main building where good ol' Big Robot is causing problems for his allies. In the next moment, his scaled, singed arm is driven into the building, where powerful claws bury into the machine's leg. Fortunately the machine is mostly rubble at this point; that should make it easy enough for the massive dragon to drag it out of the building with a snarl as he turns toward Raditz again, just in time to get a faceful of kamehameha.

The blast of radiant blue strikes Dracula's chest just off-center. The powerful stream of energy burns into Dracula's armored hide, quickly blazing through scales and chitin to the softer flesh and charring bone beneath. Not in the right place to burrow through to Dracula's heart, but it's a severe blow that his powerful form is struggling to endure, and he won't be able to simply sit there and take it for too long.

Which is why he digs his other hand into the ground to brace himself, pulls his lips back in a strained snarl, and then swings his other arm up and around to bring the crushed, twisted remains of Big Robot slamming down right on top of Raditz with a bestial howl.

That should get him to the ground faster.

Trunks (479) has posed:
The saiyans waiting outside the vault would see a large blue energy beam fire right through the doors of the vault. The saiyan prince, almost nonchalantly, steps out of the vault, the Dragon Radar in hand.

"It's nice to my father was concerned for my safey." He says sarcastically while ordering the six saiyans to head out. "Right! We have to get to the Dreadnought." Trunks isn't a coward, but the Dragon Radar has been secured and that's really all that matters.

Vegeta (663) has posed:
Perhaps not used to people actually being able to fight back too frequently, or just not used to the force, Eleanor starts to land in some pretty big hits and eventually their assault slows to a stop. The androids, not -entirely- mechanical, have some bruises and try to keep some space inbetween them and Eleanor now. "Well, she's not making this fun at all. Look at how alive she still is." Eighteen notes with a hint of annoyance in her monotone.

Seventeen shakes his head as he tests the movement of his arm, almost like he's not -used- to being hurt. "Let's just break her arm and leave. I'm bored now." That's when he moves -very- quickly, faster than the normal human eye can usually keep up with. He tries to grab Eleanor's arm with both hands, intent on snapping it.

Eighteen flies into the air with her hands held downward, charging energy in the palms of her hands. "I'm waiting for her little trick! You have fun for me, brother!"

Serori (37) has posed:
Meanwhile, in the background, that eastern anti-air gun blows up in slow motion. This addendum brought to you by 'I think I forgot to comment on this'. Vegeta's saiyans are successful, though they'll need to fall back quickly before their position is overwhelmed by incoming defenders.

Eleanor Lamb (40) has posed:
Nope, no teleporting this time. There is a sickening snap-CRACK of Eleanor's radius and ulna, the forearm twisting at a horrible angle. There's not even a scream from the Sister though, as her good hand LASHES around to grab at 17's throat, and she GRIPS down at him. "YOU. ARE. A. RUDE. CHILD."
And with a howl of pain and exertion, she twists her body, attempting to hiptoss the Android into the ground and-
"HIIIIIYA." She screams down at him, a THWACK of TK energy lashing out as she turns to run. Ow ow ow ow ow ow ow mustn't show pain OW.

Admiral Merlwyb (595) has posed:
Admiral Merlwyb is grabbed by her injured shoulder and slammed back against the tree, a remarkable feat considering she is a good foot taller than the Legatus. A knowing smirk plays on her lips, utterly unshaken by Gaius' snarling. She isn't so much thrown as she tumbles gracefully with the momentum, skidding slightly on her feet as she keeps her focus where it needs to be.

When the Magitek-powered slash arcs for her, her smirk becomes a full-blown bloodthirsty grin as she crouches, gauging its speed and power. A sudden burst of speed and power sends her vaulting OVER the slash, which still cleanly clips her coattails as it slices through their surroundings and subsequently explodes in a burst of Magitek and Cereleum. She twirls her flintlocks in her hands as she stalks forwards, using the missile barrage as distraction.

"See, this is exactly what I'm talking about. Ye warned, ye assisted, but ye stood by and watched as the seven hells opened on Eorzea. Ye didn't even have the balls Cid had, t' stand up and say 'THIS IS WRONG AND I SHAN'T BE PART OF THIS'!" Her grin disappears as her expression turns stone cold. "/Ye still don't./"

She charges in close, Annihilator and Death Penalty baying like semi-automatics while she kicks and swipes at the Legatus. "Worst of all, ye think ye have some moral high ground? Ye find us ungrateful because ye thought it more sporting to 'help' us against your nation's superiority? Ye think we should just give up in awe of your very presence?" She barks a laugh, lashing out with an elbow strike. "Complete victory is when none remain to stand against you, Legatus, whether it be in Hydaelyn or the Multiverse! YOU HAVE NOT YET WON!"

Both flintlocks' barrels suddenly begin to glow a bright blue from within as she kicks away, high into the air. "And so long as I breathe, YOU--" She aims both weapons down at Gaius, "--NEVER WILL!" The triggers are pulled and a huge orb of aetheric energy crashes down towards Gaius, traces of Cereleum weaving through its shape.

Raditz (486) has posed:
The giant beam eventually disappates and the Saiyan grins as he observes his handy-work, and but goes wide eyed as the robot that Dracula has weaponized swings right over-head and smashes him into the ground.

    "Owwwwww...."

It takes a few moments for him to get his head together, but Raditz is stupid stubborn, and isn't about to just let the Confederates LEAVE with the Dragon Radar, not without them suffering for it. He grits his teeth focuses a bit. A little bit to gather his thoughts, before he charges up his energy and uses it to send an explosive blast out of his body, to blow what remains of the robot pinning him down apart, and allow him to stand again.

Albeit, Raditz is only barely standing up, staggering back to his feet, as he's bleeding all over. However, he shifts into his stance and roars as he charges at Dracula again, now trying to strike at the wounded and exposed parts of the dragon-body. His strikes are weaker at this stage, and a lot more sluggish.

Vegeta (663) has posed:
Seventeen wasn't expecting her to suddenly grab his throat, then slam him into the ground. "Wait what-" before he goes flying into a nearby wall, eye twitching in pain.

Eighteen sighs, the energy in her hands fading. "At least you accomplished something. Though we didn't even get to hear her scream. Semi-productive day, I guess... I need a bath." She holds her hand out, looking down at her nails as she rises back to Vegeta's ship, Seventeen joining after. "That horrible helmet completely ruined my manicure. I should have broken her fingers."

Vegeta has already returned to his ship, as well as numerous saiyans who are pulling back. Though six still follow Trunks. "Where the hell is that giant cockroach alien leg thing? I'm starving."

Vanessa Selby (323) has posed:
Vanessa manages to make it back to the Dreadnought with some help, though she's barely awake by the time she gets there. While she's somewhat hungry herself she's more tired than anything else. Besides she can eat when she gets up. She might fall asleep in her food if she tries to do so now. If getting the dragon balls themselves would be this tough she's going to need plenty of rest before they start on that.

Dracula Vlad Tepes (83) has posed:
All told, Dracula's not getting away from this without more than enough damage. Scales and armor are scorched away all over, giving way to burned flesh and oozing fluids. That hole in his chest is particularly bad, to the point where he feels forced to hold his hand over the steaming, blistered wound and exposed, charred bones. Fortunately, it's time to wrap things up and get out of here.

Raditz rushes in after him, but as the saiyan's fists strike and create the sound of bone snapping under their impact, Dracula's form dissolves. The place where Raditz's blow lands suddenly bends away, flesh turned into a swarm of black bats. As the transformation spreads across his body, Dracula's fist comes around once more to swat at Raditz before his entire massive body becomes a chittering flurry of wings. Dracula's derisive laughter echoes from the mass; ebbing and twisting, the swarm whirls briefly in the air storm before rushing up toward Gaius's ship, carrying with it the fading remnants of the Lord of Darkness's laughter.

Of course, he just has to get his last licks in.

Eleanor Lamb (40) has posed:
It's not far away where Eleanor charges back into the thick of the Limsa Lominsan troops, amongst the Maelstrom where she finally collapses out of the sight of the enemy in the back line near any medics available.
"Bother. BOTHER." She hisses, and shoves the bone back inside her arm with a hiss a-
And then the bone can be heard resetting itself. "Hnnnnggggg ow." A dull warm pain suffuses the sharp pain of her limb putting itself back togetehr, and she sits, spent and sore.

Serori (37) has posed:
Serori is among the saiyans flying escort around Trunks, but she stops short of entering the Dreadnought. As someone in fairly okay shape despite the punishment she's taken, she's among the last to leave -- stopping mid-air to oversee not only Dracula's retreat, but Gaius's, too.

Her eyes seek out Raditz, in the end. She watches him for a long moment before she turns tail and joins the others breaking away from the scene.

Gaius Van Baelsar (522) has posed:
Once the retreat was given, the dropships were told to scramble, they dropped down like rocks with a few of the pilots hallering in excitement cause seriously-- dropping down at this altitude was a kick. They would come to pick up the men with an easy pull up, as they extended out their hands to pull the people in.

The Reapers would be picked up by other types of Dropships and the Vanguards would sacrifice themselves if they have too. The ones far to injured blowing up, while the ones that can be fixed were picked up.

There was probably some blue blasts of explosions and flying shrapnel from the Vanguards going BOOM. The Interceptors and Juggernaughts were moving in to act as cover fire for the retreating groups, placing themselves in the way of any ki blasts and missiles that may come their way.

Medical was alerted and the crew quickly moved to get themselves into position with their equipment to make sure those who needed medical would get it right away, along with taking to one of the med-rooms within in order to be treated best they could for whatever may be their problems.

------------

The Legatus lets the Admiral speak her peace and all her anger. He has to step back quickly and attempt to parry the shots that come in, a few popping against his armor and one impacting right into his kevlar leather pant leg, actually biting into the skin.

Her kick connects, but the next blocked as he moves with her and attempts to parry when he can, dodge even if slightly off due to the bullet wound when he can, and trying to deal with her storm like a boat out on sea.

There was no move for offensive, as she gave no room for it. In silence, he has to still admire this woman. Admire her courage, her resolve, and will. It is shame, he thinks in silence, that they will always be enemies.

As the Final shot comes, even as his forces retreat around him. He raises up his arm to create the shield once more. It forms up as the shots impact it, but this time it completely shatters and slams him back across the ground with a loud grunt.

The Legatus slowly gets back to his feet. His armor smoking, some of it cracked from the impact. His voice though, still calm as he stares her down. "And if I stood beside the boy, then you'd not be standing as you are now. Snarling at me at me like the sea dog you are!" he then points his gun blade at her. "Righteous or not. Standing in the shadows or in the light. The actions have been taken or non taken can not be undone and we all must live with what we have wrought and a /threat/ larger then us /both/ could be coming."

"Mark my words on that, Admiral and when it does come, if it shall come, then perhaps I can show you what it would be if you had submitted to Garlean rule in the FIRST place." He then fires a shot at her, but it explodes ahead of time casting the area in bright light.

When the light fades, Gaius is no where to be seen, but his voice speaks. "..and take care of the boy, if he is still in your care. At least, has safety, I think we both can agree upon."

It would not be long that a blue flicker of flames flashes upon the decks of the Dreadnought where Gaius then stands. The Hiersbane going to rest along his backside, though when medical goes to look at his leg he ushers them away to go deal with the others.

Raditz (486) has posed:
Yeah, Raditz didn't see that one coming. He probably should have seen the transformation thing coming. So Raditz takes another sock to the face, and reels backwards, but not out cold.

He shakes his head clear of the cobwebs, and blinks as he watches the direction which Dracula flees in, and roars, "Oh no you don't..." He once again puts his hands to his side and charges energy again, "KAAAMEEEHAAAMEEE....! He isn't...? He IS! He's aiming at the Dreadnaught!

"HAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!" Another giant wave of energy flies at Gaius's ship.

Gaius Van Baelsar (522) has posed:
As Raditz charges up his attack, orders are given from Gaius quickly in that turn. Those landing or have already landed will hear a very low hum coming from further down. They will see the lights suddenly dim as power is converted over.

A few emergency lights come on in its place and the magitek field comes down which can be seen with a flicker of blue. It is also here, even way up in the sky, can the Magitek Cannon be seen dropping down from the dome shield. The massive cannon shifting its position to aim directly for the Saiyan as they get ready to fire. A glimmer can be seen in the barrel as it too begins its charge up process.

The sound from within the Airship itself-- still remains a low rumble. A pulsing sound of power can be heard gathering up...

The Admiral on ground, may know what is to come as well...

When Raditz then fires, Gaius then can be heard yelling over his comm, "FIRE!" as if he knows by the sound when the Cannon itself is ready and he possibly does. It is then that a massive pop happens in the air. The clouds part across as the air wave shoves air away from the Dreadnought's underbelly and outward. The massive golden red streak goes racing right into the massive Ki blast thrown up at the Dreadnought.

The two powers then slam into one another, caught in the center of the air, as the blue wraps around the red, before it suddenly explodes in the air with a massive burst of fire and energy spreading outward in several mile radius, stretching out over the city.

The juggernauts and interceptors outside nearly caught in the blast wave, shaking under the air turbulence caused by the wake of the explosion, before they actually recover.

Serori (37) has posed:
From her position inside the Dreadnought's hangar, Serori can feel every hum and rumble, and hear the Magitek Cannon's mighty roar. Her other, instinctive sense -- attuned to the ebb and flow of ki power -- is stunned by the force unleashed in Raditz's kamehameha. She closes her eyes, and rides it out, 'feeling' the two great energy beams duke it out -- and eventually shattering one another.

Then, she lets out a breath. Her eyes open, and she looks to Trunks, nodding once. "You did well. I'm impressed by you more and more."

Admiral Merlwyb (595) has posed:
Admiral Merlwyb lands on the ground and snorts derisively at Gaius' parting words, lifting Annihilator in her left hand as her right arm hangs loosely at her side -- just barely holding Death Penalty. Before she can pull the trigger, however, she is blinded by Gaius' Magitek 'flashbang', which allows him to retreat. She blinks rapidly, trying to clear the spots from her eyes, and curses up a storm that would make the most hardened sailor blush.

"AT LEAST I AM PROUD OF BEING A SEA WOLF, YOU GARLEMALD HOUND!" She roars back, not really caring whether or not the Legatus hears her. She takes a moment to inhale deeply through her nose, then presses two fingers to her lips and emits a sharp high-pitched whistle. Her chocobo destrier runs back towards her with a loud 'KWEH', and she grabs hold of the saddle and vaults on without making her mount stop for her. She'll ponder the Legatus' words later, when not on the battlefield, and that all-too-familiar glow of the cannon reminds her to be anywhere but HERE. "Let's go."

-----

As the Garlean forces retreat, Storm Marshal Slafyrsyn pulls back on the reins of his Chocobo steed, shards of metal and Cereleum falling around him. "Do not give chase! Thauramurges, maintain focus as long as you can! Those of you who can still fight, bolster allied forces! Those who cannot, fall back and let the healers do their work!" The Maelstrom legion splits according to orders, scarcely a word in complaint or even acknowledgement.

A Maelstrom Conjurer, a tall elf-like female Elzen, finds Elanor resetting the bones in her own arm and winces in sympathy. "Here, let me help," she offers as aetheric magic builds around the crown of her wand, warm bluish-white light emitting from the fan-like branches. The curative spell should help ease the pain and speed healing, if nothing else.

Raditz (486) has posed:
The Saiyan grits his teeth as he tries to maintain the blast, but he's pushed his limits as it is, and his concentration falters, and causing him to let the blast disappate, and he staggeers where he stands before flopping backwards and crashing onto his back, his hair turning black as he groans painfully. "Dammit..."

Serori (37) has posed:
Doctor Briefs sits back from his console. A slight frown at the monitore has him rubbing the back of his head. "The back-up servers should come online soon and get the robots working again."

"Oh, that's nice. We'll need a lot of help. I have Bulma on the line, dear." Bulma's mother covers the mouthpiece of her telephone and leans toward her husband to stage whisper, "She sounds a bit worked up."

Doctor Briefs nods, and gets up from his station. His cat leaps back up onto his shoulder. Both of them proceed toward the exterior.

Several minutes later, he's one of the figures picking his way through the ruin and the rubble. He stops often to adjust his glasses, and to look over one sight or another, just taking stock. He's remarkably calm.

"Bulma won't like this at all," he tsks. "Nothing to do but rebuild, I guess."

All around him, people are struggling to regroup. By now the Dreadnought is retreated, leaving behind a scorched field of wounded and broken. Amazingly, the residence is in excellent shape, but much of the rest of the campus has taken damage, especially any buildings near the two anti-air guns.

Somewhere on the other side of the world, Bulma's finally on a flight home, fuming all the way.

Raditz (486) has posed:
Raditz spends quite a while just laying there, staring at the sky for a long time, before groaning and pushing himself back to his feet, and shakes his head free of the cobwebs, before heading into Capsule Corp, looking for Doctor Briefs so that he can try tocome up with some kind of immediate plan.

He asks for directions, making with the friendly and all, given that he's the most beat-up, yet still most popular Saiyan on this planet right now, until he finally makes his way to Doctor Briefs. "Doc... Please tell me Bulma made more than one Dragon Radar..."

Admiral Merlwyb (595) has posed:
In the wake of the battle, the Maelstrom forces have transitioned from being a military force into aftermath aid. The healers have set up an area for the wounded, all manner of curatives being used to heal everyone from civilians to soldiers and Elites. The thauramurges not directly assisting the healing process are instead on watch, just in case any Confederates think they can return to the scene of the crime. Soldiers only lightly injured or unscathed are helping recovery and rescue efforts under direct command of the Storm Marshal.

Admiral Merlwyb herself is in the medical area, receiving treatment for the plasma burn to her right shoulder. Her coat is sliced and burnt, completely missing the coattails in the back, but she seems remarkably hale and whole considering she went toe-to-toe with Gaius. She seems more preoccupied watching the recovery efforts than paying attention to the healers fussing over and at her.

Serori (37) has posed:
"Oh, I remember you. Former King Raditz, protector of the Earth." Doctor Briefs turns to face Raditz, and nods in amiable greeting. "Another Dragon Radar? So, that's what this was about. Hm, hm."

Clasping his hands together behind his back, he nods again in answer to unspoken thoughts. "Well, you know, it was always kind of an uncommon thing, and Bulma didn't want it falling into the wrong hands! So I'm afraid there's only the one."

He looks up at the half-melted barrel of the anti-air gun he's standing near. "Of course, she could make another. But that's going to require some luck and some work." Doctor Briefs starts to walk away, heading toward the medical tents. "The Radar's always been a bit off since our galaxy's grown. Hasn't been able to pinpoint anything the way it used to, but that doesn't mean it's useless. It just requires calibration...or a lot of time spent on guesswork."

Doctor Briefs sticks his head into the Admiral's tent. "Young lady, you fight quite well. Your soldiers, too. Thank you for helping us out today; we won't forget it."

Then, he turns to Raditz: "Don't you have any Dragon Balls already?"

His wife, a sprightly blonde ditz of a woman, appears behind him all of a sudden. She's got the tea kettle again, and multiple cups. "Here to help!" She hands her husband a cup -- he takes it -- then forces one on Raditz, too, before she goes into the tent to start serving up tea wherever she can.

Eleanor Lamb (40) has posed:
Eleanor manages a salute to the good doctor, with her good arm. Despite her healing capbilities, the bruises she's recieved from her fight with the Androids aren't going down as fast as they could. She's burnt out most of her energy reserves.
"Thank you ver much, Doctor Briefs. Your men performed admirably as well."

Raditz (486) has posed:
Raditz can't help but curse his luck, rubbing his face, despite his soreness. He hasn't let himself be seen to by any of the medics, at least not yet. He wants to at least get the job done before he allows himself to relax.

The Saiyan blinks as the cup is forced into his hands, and though he doesn't drink immediately, he doesn't put it down yet. He instead shakes his head and asks, "I have been trying to AVOID having to hunt them down. Why would you think I had any? Unlike my Brother, I didn't keep one sitting on my kid's head."

Admiral Merlwyb (595) has posed:
Admiral Merlwyb inclines her head respectfully when Doctor Briefs pokes his head in. "You're quite welcome," she replies simply before the good doctor returns to Raditz outside. She leaves her greatcoat on for now, but allows the medics to put her right arm in a sling. Magic or technology aside, it still needs time to heal and still hurts like hells.

Since that was the only injury, she leaves her tent -- just in time for Doctor Briefs' wife to hand her a teacup and offer hot tea. She accepts the kindness with a smile, sipping gently at the hot liquid. Her throat was starting to hurt from all the yelling during the battle. For now, she simply listens to the conversation between Raditz and the good Doctor.

Meanwhile, the Maelstrom healers help direct Doctor Briefs' wife to those recovered enough to drink the offered tea. One of the healers also leaves the tent to make sure they hadn't missed anyone. Raditz gets a cursory glance, but there's no pestering for the moment as the Saiyan is 'walking wounded' and also busy.

Serori (37) has posed:
Doctor Briefs tsks and nods. He crooks a finger against his chin. "I suppose you'll have to find one, then. If we can get a Dragon Ball, it would be no trouble to calibrate a superior radar device. Perhaps then you'd be able to get an edge over the Confederacy?"

"I suggest you watch over the planet. Try to track their movements. You may be able to get your hands on a Dragon Ball soon enough if you're sharp."

"We'll work on another device anyway, but it won't be ideal."

Raditz (486) has posed:
Raditz growls and sits down on the ground. "Right. This'll be just fun..." He sighs and sips on the cup of drink...

Serori (37) has posed:
Doctor Briefs pats Raditz's shoulder. "Chin up."

He then nods to Admiral Merlwyb. "You look like a sharp woman. You've got a tactical mind, I'm sure. Maybe you can help Raditz keep a good watch over this planet."

To Eleanor, he adds: "Goodness, you're a pretty thing. Know anything about engineering?" Kind of a non-sequitur -- in truth, the two statements are unrelated. "If you do, be sure to stop by so Bulma can show you how the radar works. Oh, and if you see my grandson anywhere? Tell him his Christmas present will be waiting for him, /if/ he straightens up."

At that, Doctor Briefs begins to wander away, back through the rubble, humming as he goes.

Admiral Merlwyb (595) has posed:
Admiral Merlwyb nods, golden eyes narrowing slightly as if in thought. "I am certainly open to it." I.E., if Raditz wants her to. She respects the fact this isn't her world/part of the Multiverse, so won't butt in where she isn't wanted. "The scope of the problem seems to be far greater than just one world." She shudders to think what could happen if Gaius managed to get his hands on these Dragon Balls.

She emits a sigh as the Doctor departs, casting a scan over the devestation and her troops in particular. "I will send the worst of my wounded back to Limsa Lominsa as soon as they are able to move. Eleanor, you are welcome to go with them if you still need transportation."
