Super Secret Light Warriors Meeting
Date of Scene: 23 December 2014
Location: Galianda
Synopsis: The Light Warriors have a club meeting with a couple new drop-ins.
Cast of Characters: 626, 633, 642, 655, 666, 667

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
Mid-afternoon at Alexander Academy meant that most classes were winding down-at least for those geniuses that cleverly arranged their schedule to maximize their afternoon free time. This usually involved a complicated dance of study halls and physical education courses. For those that participate in school clubs, owners could even get excused early to handle club business-depending on the business and which teacher was sponsoring it.

For the purpose of the Light Warriors, Professor Tygan King provided the patronage that allowed them to get away with this. On occasion.

Kyra was finished with her classes anyway. Classes have never been a problem for her as her classmates may note with some irritation. Affording teachers proper respect, on the other hand, was another story. But for now, Kyra sits in an empty classroom that had been reserved by King as the official Light Warriors meeting room. Her mPad and several notebooks lie spread out on the table and one of the projectors in the classroom has been switched on.

Projected onto the wall, fed in by Kyra's mPad, is a horrifyingly complicated-looking graphic that, turns out, is the best approximation of a multiversal map.

Landon al Cid (642) has posed:
The Prince of Ramuh does not often have a lot of free time. Being one of the future heads of state of Galianda meant that, besides having an above-average workload, he also has to attend to lots of things ordinary high-schoolers don't worry about very often.

Still, he does occasionally have free time in a more meaningful capacity. Today is one of those days.

Landon steps into the club room, still in his uniform. He hasn't bothered to change out of it, and indeed, rarely does when he's actually at school; his armor tends to go on over it when he needs it, and when he doesn't, it's much too much a hassle to change. Besides, the school uniform is actually rather comfortable for someone who's spent a lot of time in expensive and formal clothing.

Landon pauses at the doorway and looks at the wall for a moment. He's silent as he watches the projection before he moves to knock gently on the door.

"Pardon me. I hope I'm not interrupting anything...? That looks quite complicated and thorough. I can come back if you need to focus."

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
Kyra taps a pen to her chin, staring thoughtfully at whatever she has going on with her mPad. A closer look would reveal a wall of text that would take some serious shoulder surfing to read. She seems pretty into whatever she's reading and doesn't even notice Landon showing up until he taps on the door. Kyra startles just a little and stares at Landon for a long moment.

Somedays it's still a shock to her that Landon, the PRINCE OF RAMUH is in their club.

"Oh, no, you're not really...interrupting. Heck, c'mon in, Prince, I'm just plotting some Light Warriors stuff." she waves him to come into the room enthusiastically. "It's like.../man/ there are so many places out there, it'll take three lifetimes to visit everything. So we gotta prioritize. So I'm scoping things out based on the info I can find out there."

Dominic Masoch (655) has posed:
Since his encounter with Sasaki Kojirou, Dominic had been given a pretty decent reprieve in his coursework. Of course, the bandage had come off recently and the wound healed perfectly, meaning that he no longer has a big nasty cut to use as an excuse. This had meant his first day BACK had been mostly 'get to training and make sure your skills didn't diminish'. He had been spared a lot of written homework due to bringing back a bunch of reports on Extraversal worlds as extra credit.

Dominic, with a bookbag across one shoulder and his sword at the opposite hip, almost walks right into Landon due to his personally being lost in thought. He doesn't, though, that would be incredibly embarassing. Instead, he stops just short of the doorway and looks over his shoulder, playfully cajoling the prince in a quiet tone, "No loitering in doorways, Big G. Please curb your rebellious ways."

Though he does look over Landon's shoulder to see what has him paused. When Kyra invites them both in, he seems to perk up at the talk about places, "I actually visited a very interesting world recently."

Soan Sagittarius (633) has posed:
Soan Sagittarius is not the head of any houses, heir to any kingdom or even a very important figure in the worldly affairds of politics. He does have, on the other hand, quite many other duties that he must perform. Many are self-inflicted. The Academy wont patrol itself, and the last reality terrorist attack a week or so back put him on edge. Dragoon Man intensified his search for potential Chaos cult locations, but have not found anything big so far. Just the random nutjob, if anything like that at all. Muggings. Monsters lurking from sewers and basements.

     It troubles him.

Still, the Multiverse is another thing need to divert a lot of energy into. It's something of an investment, in this case. It represents the future, after all.

"Then you need to stop /using/ the doors, Dominic." Soan Sagittarius, who was clearly not visible a few moments ago, comes out from behind one of the shadows of the shelves in the empty class room. He'll have to furnish it when they get some more funds, he wants a display case here. "But yes, that's a splendid idea, Kyra! Giving a priority to our travels will make it more efficient."

Soan take a seat, letting out a breath as he relaxes for a bit, remembers something, then asks. "Also, hello everyone. How are you all doing?"

Landon al Cid (642) has posed:
Landon makes a face. "Are you going to call me that forever?" He inquires of Dominic as he enters properly, closing the door behind him. He doesn't admit that he didn't see Soan in the corner, nor does he jump when the other young man appears, instead offering him a polite nod. "Good afternoon, Soan. I'm alright, I suppose. I just finished offering gifts to our extraversal allies...although you should have gotten a basket, as well, if all went as planned."

Landon heads in and sits down. "What sort of information are you looking for?" He asks of Kyra.

Dominic Masoch (655) has posed:
"Not forever. Just around club members," He points out, hand resting on his book bag. He takes out his mPad and then says, "I have information on a world I wandered through, Kyra. One second."

He ahems and then says, "Mogi. Please data transfer information on Avenger's world."

A neutral female voice says, "Right away." It would then try to file transfer information on Avenger's world to Kyra's mPad. Mostly pictures and handmade notes about the world and a picture of Sasaki Kojirou covered in crazy tattoos.

While this happens, he takes a few moments to just be baffled at Soan, "How did you... appear from behind a shelf?" He looks at the wall carefully, trying to find a hole in it in a bit of wonderment.

A 'ping' chimes from his datapad when the transfer finishes, "It was a very desolate world. I think it was one of those Eee-Arths that many of the Extraversals hail from, but very Odin-like in its inhospitability."

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
"What, do we need another cover name for you, 'Big G'?" Kyra smirks mischeviously, "I can come up with a new one for you. Like, I dunno, Mixmaster P-diddy. Or High Roller." It sounds like Kyra can invent any manner of DJ names for Landon if needed. Whether or not he'd enjoy them, well...

She waves Dominic and Soan to come sit down at the table-there are plenty of chairs throughout the classroom to drag up if need be-and gestures to all the stuff she has strewn about. "Now what I'm trying to go for are places where it's likely we could pick up a quest or adventure or find a good B-rank dungeon to explore. We're an /adventure club/ after all and I'm sure you've got your own political circuit your family wants you to take."

The last part is, of course, directed at Landon.

"-oh, you left us a basket, eh? I haven't seen mine yet." Kyra titters, elated that she got a GIFT from the PRINCE.

The file lands on Kyra's mPad and she starts dragging displays around with her finger. After a moment, the file opens on the projector's screen for everyone to see. Kyra makes a few gestures and scrolls through the pictures. "...huuuuh. So....what's the deal with this place, then?"

Soan Sagittarius (633) has posed:
Soan rather enjoys perplexing people with his improbable entries. The thief just grins at Dominic as he demonstrate the potential location of a world to visit, straightening up to give a look over at the screen. A vaste, desolate and nasty place that rivals Odin in it's inhospitability. Lovely! This might do perfectly! Not for a beach vacation, mind you.

"Huh. That could be worth an investigation, I admit." Soan says, scratching his chin thoughtfully, looking at Landon. "Oh, yeah, I've got your basket, thanks. I've put it in the fridge at my dorm and I'll give it the attention that it deserves at Victory."

He takes out his own tablet, remorselessly. It is not a mPad. It's a ChocoTab. "Alternatively, we can go check this Eorzea world, too. By the sounds of Quentyn, there might be lots of interesting things to check out there."

Landon al Cid (642) has posed:
Landon shakes his head, but he doesn't seem to protest further. He also doesn't comment on the desolate hellhole of a world onscreen, because his player plays that Kojirou guy and that would be hilariously meta.

"That's...quite alright," He assures Kyra after a moment. "And, yes, I did. Several delicacies from across Galianda...I thought it would be a nice way to give the Union a, erm, taste, of what our home is like. And participate in the spirit of this bizarre holiday of theirs."

"A B-Rank dungeon, is it...?" He taps his chin thoughtfully.

Dominic Masoch (655) has posed:
Dominic doesn't mind the existence of the ChocoTab. But he also doesn't comment on it.

He takes a seat, setting down his book bag and says, "I do not know either of those names," He notes. He hasn't actually met either Stark or Thor, "But it seems as if it may be a case of there being one of many different types of the same world." He frowns a bit.

"It was very dangerous, though. I believe that were I not of Galianda, the magical saturation in the air would have been very harmful. As it was, it left me with a headache. Its inhabitants are also very hostile. I was challenged by a swordsman, pictured there, almost immedaitely. It would be interesting to visit, but likely not alone."

He rubs his hand under his chin, his report on the other world being done, "B-Rank, though. What of Sir Faruja's world? He can seem a bit narrow-minded, but his world has some very interesting creatures on it."

Soan Sagittarius (633) has posed:
"He is somewhat, ain't he?" Soan says, opening up his tablet. It makes an adorable 'kweh!' noise as it lights up. "He exploded rather hard on Helena that time we went to Titan. I mean, who dosen't, but before that he seemed rather reclusive on the idea of our existances and the plate's nature."

He swipes something off the screen, frowning. "A B-Rank dungeon would be a pretty good idea. The C-Rank was a good taste, but an actual, extraversal dungeon would really be an inaguration of the Club."

Soan looks at Dominic. "Sir Faruja's world might be a possibility. It sounded... diverse. One of his aids was this lady with theses long hairy ears."

Landon al Cid (642) has posed:
"I am less than impressed by the idea of such zealotry," Landon admits after a moment, shifting, "Even the zealots of our own world displease me. To have someone tell us that our way of life is wrong from outside the universe is...uncomfortable, to say the least. It is yet another reminder that we must be careful in our enthusiasm."

Soan Sagittarius (633) has posed:
"Yeah, me neither." The Dragoon says, holding his hands behind his head, leaning back. "That's a good point."

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
The mischevious grinning continues. Kyra can kind of tell that Landon doesn't really /like/ the nicknames which is what made them even FUNNIER. That might be the closest she'll get to an outright no but until then...

"The Christmas thing doesn't seem that bad. I like the gifts and all but not everyone can bring gifts to /everyone/ they know. Maybe people that do a lot of multiversal stuff are rich?"

Reaching over, she pokes Dominic. "Next time take us with you, then! In fact, I'd recommend everyone at least travel with one other person." She reddens a little, "...especially me though I've been breaking that rule lately." It's pretty clear that Kyra fails on the physical side of things and would be done for if a melee fighter got within range on her. "Ivalice does seem pretty neat. I'd visit there again, if only because Faruja wants this Phrego Larson guy hunted down. He's the guy that tried to corrupt their Phoenix."

Landon declares that he /dislikes/ the zealots of their world and Kyra's grin widens just a little. A few more points are added to Landon, further exacerbating Kyra's strange mix of feelings about The Prince. "But hey if he wants to hate on a whole world, that's his problem, not ours."

Dominic Masoch (655) has posed:
Dominic makes a frowning face at Soan, "Long, hair ears? That sounds incredibly unappealing." He wrinkles his face a bit. He might not be imagining rabbit ears, but instead a much droopier sort of ear.

Dominic sighs slightly at Landon, "It makes me very unhappy to hear then act like that, too." The blonde-haired noble frowns a bit and then says, "To think of our students getting such treatment is rather infuriating. Perhaps someone should call him out on it."

A passing suggestion, though. And probably not the best one. He's getting needled and poked (literally) by the White Mage, "Yes, well. It was late at night. You all were asleep. I met that very nice Lady Einzbern, though." Lady is a bit of a misnomer, since she was like 10.

He plants his hands firmly on the table, "Still, if other worlds wish to make judgments about us that are incorrect, that means the Light Warriors should help as much as we can to prove those judgements wrong," He says firmly.

Landon al Cid (642) has posed:
"Actually," Landon reminds her, a bit glumly, "It is my problem. If he and his decide to begin shouting their zealotry into our populace, and it causes a riot, it could cause widespread problems, both with our own relationship with the Union and vice-versa. It would set extraversal relations back substantially."

He sighs and runs his fingers thrugh his hair, nodding at Dominic. "It is what we're here for, isn't it? Theoretically, anyway. I'm quite happy Chocobo allowed us to do this...though I admit, I occasionally feel a bit bad about my presence here. It does seem to bring you trouble, particularly from Mursame."

"For my part, I went to a world that was..." He shifts, again looking uncomfortable, "Lady Priscilla's, I believe. She conjured several of us to her world in our sleep as glowing phantoms, and we faced off against a tyrant god. Death is apparently cheap, there. I would classify it as A-Rank, at least."

Soan Sagittarius (633) has posed:
"I dunno, the rest of the girl was pretty fetching. It was just some really long ears on the top sides of her head. I think her legs were digitigrade, as well? I couldn't really tell with the equipment she was wearing. She seemed more sensible than her boss, anyway." Soan says, without skipping a beat. She /was/ pretty, damnit, there's no damn shame in admitting that.

The topic shifts to a more serious topic, Soan straightens on his chair, nodding. "If prefferable, do go with someone you do trust. Having a buddy watching your back increases your odds of not getting hurt or killed -- and retreating in case something really bad happens." He nods again, this time at Dominic. "Precisely. A lot of people /here/ are afraid of the Multiverse, and many are indifferent about us out there. Some are less. Some are more. Shaking misconceptions, finding the real dangers, not the ones that we imagine, finding the beauty that lies out there now and the people we can talk and converse with." He nods at Landon. "That, too. We need to know what's out there, but still stand for ourselves."

He clears his voice, speech done. "I think I heard you guys do that. I went to that world to stop that robbery ... two weeks ago? Some kind of robot and some weirdo that summoned monsters from balls robbed a bank."

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
"You can prove 'em wrong. So far I don't think they're inclined to really listen to me for some reason. Guess I'm too wild?" Kyra half-smiles at that, thinking back to the incident on Ryu's world with that Teepo guy. "Maybe you guys need to sit down with Faruja and set things straight." As she speaks, she makes notes on her mPad, multitasking easily.

Her smile fades as Landon claims it IS his problem and the fragile relations with extraversals hang in the balance. But as for the club: "I think Murasame has problems with all of us, Landon. It's not just you. So don't worry about it, he's not fond of Kamon either and he's technically our founder." She pauses and stares at Landon once he describes his journey to Priscilla's world.

"...I've apparently been missing the good stuff." she laments. Taking both that and Soan's outing into account. "You frontliners get all the fun!"

Dominic Masoch (655) has posed:
"I promise to take you out on my next journey with me, if you are available~," Dominic notes in a teasing tone, leaning back in his chair before he folds his hands behind his head in a casual gesture, "Murasame are an interesting group. I can't say much bad about them, for political reasons. They make up a large share of my father's military contracting."

And then he's cut off by his phone buzzing him that he has messages. The blonde-haired fencer has a brief conversation (readable on X-Union) before hanging up, "Well. It seems in my haste to finish my homework and see you all, I forgot a prior engagement. I will be forced to leave in just a little bit."

He looks back to Kyra, "Anyway, you should not feel too bad. If anything, it merely means we all wish not to endanger a friend such as you. We are truly gentlemen, all." He notes, looking to Soan and Landon a bit befor enodding as if that's totally the reason.

He may wish to be not focusing on the more serious topics of Extraversal relations and prejudices, if just for the moment.

Landon al Cid (642) has posed:
"It hurt," Landon assures Kyra after a moment, "I had a spear of light shot through my stomach. It was quite awful. I nearly died...as a phantom? It's hard to describe, but it was staggeringly, unbelievably painful."

"The creature we fought was all that my family has ever stood against, given form." He frowns. "I wouldn't call it fun. Fascinating, maybe...but not my idea of entertainment."

He sighs and presses his face into his hands. "Yes, I suppose we should talk to Sir Faruja about this sort of thing, but it isn't a problem yet, and I don't wish to make it a problem until he moves on it. If he continues lecturing us on the evils of our ways, I will firmly ask that he put a stop to it, but in the meantime..."

He nods at Dominic as he leaves. "Have a lovely duel."

Soan Sagittarius (633) has posed:
Soan waves at Dominic, while he's still there. "Watch out for her. She can change shape and make illusions." The Thief warns the Fencer, grinning a bit at him -- but not being specific on the full nature of the 'threat' the fae represent.

Soan sits back on his chair, lets out a small sigh as adds. "It was when I was in Uniform, Kyra. That asshat then tried to hold the city hostage with a gigantic crab creature. I've rammed him into it -- and one of thoses 'robot girlfriends' took the hit for him. And he had the audacity to diss it because, uh. She wasn't human-looking in her true shape."

It's quite clear by Soan's expression that he's still not quite sure what the heck to think about all of this crap.

"Yeah, I'd say see where it goes, do our best to give the best impression with the Inquisitor."

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
"Yeah but at the same time, Dominic..." Kyra looks a little put out, "I don't like being, well, left behind. I want some awesome adventure accomplishments too. For....what I /can/ do at least."

Kyra frowns, looking troubled, but it passes.

"Well not fun but definitely /exciting/. And fascinating, yeah! -oh, right, you wanted me to come along too, right Dominic? In case that guy started biting?" She does something to her mPad and it de-links from the projector in the classroom.

Dominic Masoch (655) has posed:
"Illusions, got it!" Dominic says, picking up his book bag and then hoisting it up over his shoulder, nodding to Soan in a serious way. He does take his duels as pretty serious business, being a Fencer and all.

"Do not call your meeting on account of me, much as I would love to have you cheering my praises. I believe it will be in their Ring of Philosophy, so I will likely not suffer injury. Or so she told me." He smiles at Kyra, appreciating her concern but not wanting his personal activities to disrupt club meetings or anything.

Grant Mason (667) has posed:
Bruised and bandaged, the big man from Titan was surprised to hear voices coming from what he assumed would be an abandoned classroom. Spotting Dominic leaving the room, he pushes his way inside shortly after the other man leaves. It's really dificult to hide his presence, so he usually doesn't bother. He just barely caught a glimpse of the map being projected before it vanished, so he keeps his mouth shut about it for now.

"What're you all up to? Secret meetings that you don't want folks spying on? Speaking of which, I wasn't actually spying, just kinda walkin' by when I saw Masoch tear out of here like he was being chased by an angry chocobo. Wanted to see what was going on." Somehow he doubts they're gonna tell him what they're up to, but he figures he could prod and poke either way.

Landon al Cid (642) has posed:
The Prince looks over at Grant. Mason is...big. He'd seen the big man around campus a few times, but rarely said much to him; they just didn't run in the same social circles.

"Ah, Sir Masoch had a prior engagement...an agreement to spar with an Extraversal, I believe. I think he's quite alright, just running a bit late." He offers the big man a broad smile and flicks his eyes over at Kyra. "I don't believe this is a /secret/ meeting, is it, Lady Hyral?"

Soan Sagittarius (633) has posed:
Soan looks up. He's glad that he was talking pretty vaguely! Next time, he'll have to close the door. Funny just how often you forget something that simple.

"Oh hey, Grant." The Thief says, giving a wave at the man as he relaxes into his seat. "No, we're not in the Secret Room, so."

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
It is very difficult to not notice Grant. Recognizing the voice, Kyra gives the Titan an even nod. "Hello." she says with equal evenness, despite the fact that she is more or less a stereotypical natural enemy of Grant's type. Nerds versus jocks and all, right?

"This is a Light Warrior's club meeting. We're not exactly a secret club or anything, being totally official. We've got badges and everything." In fact, Kyra's actually wearing her Kamon-crafted badge /right now/. She folds her arms over her chest and looks at Grant evenly.

"Why, are you looking to join?"

Grant Mason (667) has posed:
The question actually surprised Grant a bit, "Join the Light Warriors?" He asks. He'd never even considered they might ask him if he wants to join. He's also never really expressed any interest in it before, he'd be the first to admit, so it wouldn't be surprising that the topic never came up, "Honestly never really thought about it. You guys and I don't really hang out, you know?"

Putting his hands in his jacket pockets, he looks down at Kyra quietly for a few minutes, "You guys go out and run dungeons and stuff, right? Or have you expanded out into the new worlds now, too? There lots of dungeons out there to tackle? Bet you guys have been keeping busy."

Landon al Cid (642) has posed:
"We've been doing quite a bit with extraversal exploration," Landon tells Grant, "We were in fact just talking about further forays into the Extraverse to see what we could see. It's fascinating, isn't it? One of the biggest events in Galiandan history."

Soan Sagittarius (633) has posed:
"Explore the Extraverse, discover their cultures, see what we should be aware of in case they are dangerous -- and dispel unfounded fears." Soan says, bobbing his head slowly. "We are the forfront of something amazing, but we need to be wise and careful about this. This is what we are trying to be. Set an example, learn."

Mirielle Edelweiss (666) has posed:
There is a small noise from a covered trashcan that has sat, dusty and disused, in a corner. "This isn't the secret room?" Comes a quiet voice from the trashcan.

Then, the little flappy window opens, and a pair of glasses and curious eyes poke out. "That's quite vexing." Mirielle murmurs, before carefully raising the lid, and placing it on the ground, before clambering out.

"Your secret room has eluded me once again." She grumbles, setting the top back on the trashcan and stretching out to pop her back and neck after curling up in a trash can for the better part of the meeting.

She offers no explanation as to why she had been hiding in a trashcan during the Light Warriors meeting, nor why she'd reveal herself to the gathered folks.

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
"We really don't hang out, no." Kyra agrees. "I mean, can you name any of the people here...?" Of course Kyra knew who he was since he went and introduced himself yesterday and it was hard not to recognize the star football player. Still, she keeps her eyes on him, head tilted up.

"Yup, that's exactly what we do. We formed the club specifically so we could go out and have extraversal adventures." she agrees along with Landon.

Then Mirelle speaks up and Kyra slooooowly peers over to look at the summoner. "...no, this isn't our secret room. That's much more well hidden, isn't it Soan? Ummm...why are you hiding in here anyway?"

Soan Sagittarius (633) has posed:
Soan don't seem too surprised when Mirielle comes out of the trashcan, nothing beyond an lifted eyebrow toward Kyra. He shrugs at her. DId he know she was there and he didn't say anything? Or is he just good at feinging surprise? Who knows!

"Oh, no, this is not the secret room, our secret room has a lot more screens, armour stands and a buffet table." The Thief responds mischeviously.

Grant Mason (667) has posed:
"Well yeah." Grant says, as he takes a look around. Who does he know, "Well I know the prince. I mean sure, we don't exactly get all buddy buddy, but it's hard to not know him." Grant pulls his hands out of his jacket and folds them across his chest, "Besides, it's hardly my fault if you guys don't get involved in football or wrestling."

At the sudden appearance from inside the waste bin, the big Titan man's head actually tilts to the side, a bit confused, "Have you been in there the entire time?" He wonders. He has no idea who she is, but that would be an impressive trick none the less.

Landon al Cid (642) has posed:
Landon double-takes and stares at Mirielle. He looks at her for a very long moment, like he's slightly disbelieving but far too polite to ask something as gauche as 'why were you sitting in a trash can, are you alright'.

Finally, he decides on something simpler. "There aren't any secret rooms. That would be...very strange."

He gives Soan a look for a moment, like he can't tell if the Thief is trying to defuse the situation or encourage the strange girl. Finally, he sighs and runs his fingers through his hair, leaning back in the chair to check his phone.

% "Ah...goodness, I admit, I haven't really kept up with our football team. Are we doing well? I heard we're still having some trouble with Ark Institute."

     *Ark*.

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
Kyra pouts a little at Landon when he doesn't play along with the 'secret room' thing. Then she stares at Grant and finally stands, putting her hands on her hips. "The Prince doesn't count because everyone recognizes the /Prince of Ramuh/. I bet you don't even know /my/ name. And there's a very good reason I don't do the whole football or wrestling thing."

Then Landon lays down a sick diss upon the /entire football team/. Kyra lets out a soft 'ooooh.'

Soan Sagittarius (633) has posed:
"And I'm just this guy." Soan says, shrugging his shoulders. "I'm just a Thief."

Mirielle Edelweiss (666) has posed:
Mirielle looks up from noting down Soan's 'totally truthful' discourse on the Secret Room while thoughtfully nodding. She pulls out a small notebook, opens a page with some words upon it, and scribbles down a note.

As to WHY she was in the trashcan, she simply looks, curiously, at Kyra, Soan, and Landon in turn. "... You had not invited me to join your club. I wished to participate in activities. It is very simple." She replies, giving a small smile.

Soan gets a curious look. "I would think a prominent member of the Theives Guild slash Assembly slash Associated Members slash Union... it's really unclear what the group is called or if there's a group. I think?"

Mirielle pulls out ANOTHER notebook, and begins leafing through it.

Landon's correction earns Soan a stink eye, and a pointed crossing out in Notebook #1.

"I, erm... Well, I'm certainly not royalty." She offers, with a bit of a forced 'eheh'.

Grant Mason (667) has posed:
"You're Kyra Hyral." Mason says, as he looks at Kyra, "I don't know much else about you beyond a name, I admit, but your family is pretty well known around the Academy." For reasons which Grant won't get into during polite conversation. Honestly most of what he's heard is just rumors and hearsay, but he'll roll with it just the same. He doesn't know, or particularly care, how much is true.

Turning back to the prince, Grant considers his statement for a few moments, "Yeah they kinda kicked us around pretty bad last time. But it's alright, we're playing them again in a few weeks and we have something special planned for them this time. Hope you'll come on down, bet you can get yourself a fancy private box and everything."

The mention of Soan being in the Union does get his attention, eyes glancing over to Soan for just a few moments, but he does his best to try to not look like that's what got his attention.

Soan Sagittarius (633) has posed:
Soan looks down at Mirielle as she emerges from the trashcan Or at least, makes herself more visible inside of it. They'll have to get a much smaller trashcan, he thinks. To prevent thieves and ninjas to hide in them, now that he thinks about it.

Sports pursuits are not part of his interests, he has enough of it being a moonlighting Superhero. He shrugs at the summoner. "All you had to do was ask, Mirielle. The Department of Rogues is just a membership among others."

Landon al Cid (642) has posed:
Landon beams. "I'll endeavor to do just that. I look forward to seeing us trounce them thoroughly."

He glances over at Mirielle. "Erm...yes. It...that is rather logical. Though, you could perhaps have asked Sir Lionward? He's the club leader..."

He shoots a slightly apologetic look at Kyra. He doesn't lie to people! It's kind of his family's thing.

Mirielle Edelweiss (666) has posed:
"Sir Lionward?" Mirielle parrots, before looking concerned. "Ah. He is... quite intimidating." The beglasses'ed girl offers in response, tucking her notebooks away on her person. "Ah. Well, if you need them sabotaged, I can try to arrange that?" She asks, of Grant, as he speaks to Landon about the upcoming BIG GAME.

"This club is open signup?" She asks, after a few moments, as if it was a new, wonderful thought. She's... kind of a space cadet.

Grant Mason (667) has posed:
"I don't think we'll need to sabotage anything.." Grant says, though it looks like his phone is starting to buzz a few times. He looks at the prince for a second and then glances at his phone, "Ah, appologies. Seems people want my attention. But I'm in the presence of royalty so it can wait, I'm sure." He says, as he tucks the phone back into a pocket and grins, "But it'll be good, we're gonna put on quite the show."

Soan Sagittarius (633) has posed:
Soan gives Grant a slight tip of the head, shoving his hands into his jacket's pockets. "Yeah. Kamon Lionward. He's pretty big, but don't worry about him. He's a nice guy." The thief answers Mirielle, smiling over at her. "It is open singup. We review applications, talk about prospective new members. It's usually an approval process between Kamon and myself, and generally in the group unless there is serious objections. After all, new members becomes part of the group."

Landon al Cid (642) has posed:
"Intimidating? I can't say I've ever heard Sir Lionward described as such before...is he really? Perhaps it's just because I've met him..." Landon ponders aloud, thoughtfully. "Or perhaps I just don't think of him in such a manner...he is, truthfully, a terrifying warrior. But he's a good and decent man, and you've nothing to fear from him."

He shifts a bit, thoughtfully. Was that really how Kamon was perceived by the students? How were the Light Warriors, as a whole, perceived? Were they imagined to be some sort of elitist group? Well...perhaps they were! They were friends who had shared close secrets, after all. And...well...

     Well...

Landon jolts himself out of his thoughts and shakes his head. "Ah, I have no doubt that our team won't need to resort to cheating to beat Ark Institute. I imagine they're working hard, ready for the next match."

Landon waves his hand. "No, no, not at all, Sir Mason. If you need to take a call, please; you won't insult me one bit."

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
"Yeah, thanks for droppping by." Kyra finally speaks up, having gone silent for a while after Grant did manage to accurately name her. As for perceptions...did /none/ of them get perceived with any sense of popularity?

Did this make the Light Warriors the underdogs?

"Kamon's actually really nice." Kyra mentions in an offhanded manner, "Maybe they're just afraid of him because he doesn't talk very much."

Mirielle Edelweiss (666) has posed:
"Oh. If application is needed..." Mirielle begins, before pulling out a more standardized sheaf of paper, and moving through it until she brings out club application forms. Which she proceeds to fill out.

    In triplicate.

She then presses the forms into Soan's hand, as he is the CLUB OFFICER PRESENT.

"Here are my forms. If you need references..." She wonders, before pulling out her phone and collating something with her notebook. She becomes very engrossed in this activity.

"Oh, um, yes, good luck at the game." She offers to Grant, without looking at him. Possibly forgetting she had offered to rig the game.

Soan Sagittarius (633) has posed:
Soan looks upon Mirielle, not adding much to what the other says about Kamon. They've pretty much summed up his thoughts, anyway. Instead, he looks rather interested at the speed Mirielle takes out a stack of Club Application Forms, already having been ready for this, then begins to fill them out with admirable speed.

Soan might have just found an assistant in the Club's bureaucratic affairs.

He takes the refferences as she produces them as he sits down and begins to review the forms presented to him, reading quickly through them as he thinks about it. Nothing too wrong in there, and he has some references.

He gives the names a look. Hrrrrm.

"Looks fine so far..." He mumbles, taking a note of the names to look them up later, beaming at Mirielle. It's startling to be before someone that's good with papers. Usually they have to be walked through this stuff!

Landon al Cid (642) has posed:
Landon blinks as Mirielle fills out the forms, jutting him out of his thoughts. He stares at her for a moment in disbelief. He knows professional bureaucrats less swift at filling out paperwork.

He looks over at Soan, then at Kyra, exchanging a glance between them before he shifts his gaze back to Mirielle.

"That was...quick. Do you carry those everywhere?"

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
Meanwhile Kyra internally questions the utility of so much paperwork. Why WAS the Thief Department so bureaucratic anyway? "Yeah, you're a little /weird/ but I don't really have a problem with it. Weird can be fun."

"I'm curious, though. Why do you want to join?"

Mirielle Edelweiss (666) has posed:
Mirielle seems rather curious, as her references are accepted (her references are pretty much 'name someone and she can probably get a reference or a least a reference a degree away') and her collated list put away. "I have all the paperwork for everything I could need in a normal day at school." Mirielle replies, before pulling out a number of small 'book' summoning matricies. "As well as all the required reference material."

Stowing her gear, she spacey attitude just contiinues. "I have forms for joining a club, forming a club, request for club budgetary needs, updating officer rosters, request for a club room..." She drones on and on, before stopping. "Ah, yes. Why I'd like to join!"

She pumps her fists in the most tired, soulless looking 'fired up' pose. "Becuase this way I can get independent study PE credit. I need to make up a lot of exercising and adventuring credits. I focused on more academic pursuits before. It is a good compromise. I am... not good at PE classes."

Landon al Cid (642) has posed:
The Prince of Ramuh blinks politely at the Shady Summoner again. He's sort of...putting together his thoughts in his head, more than likely. "Do you often need that much paperwork?" Comes the first question, since that seems like the right place to start. He hovers over that thought for a while before moving onwards.

"...we give a physical education credit? I was earnestly not aware of that."

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
"So wait, you want to join this club so you can make up PE and adventuring credits?" Kyra slowly...frowns. "Am I hearing this right?" She reaches down and scoops up her mPad, putting it into her backpack. "I mean I can understand wanting to graduate and all, noble goal, that..."

Mirielle Edelweiss (666) has posed:
"No. The club itself doesn't. But if I catalog the activities I do during club activities that are sufficently exertion-based, I can submit form 22-B Request for Independent Study Credit, and have it vetted by at least one PE professor or sports team coach, I can be excused with class credits for it. If you wish, I can share the forms." Mirielle replies, before looking to Kyra.

"Oh, no, not /just/ that. There's also the Student Body Request for Extracurricular Provisions and Funding. You can expense a portion of your adventuring supplies to the school as long as it's for a club activity, a scholarship competition, or a school-affiliated field trip. Did you know that you can get your professors to sign off on field trips in absentia? Oh, and, well, networking is always important. As an independent magical specialist, I don't have much of a future postgraduation beyond, well, returning to my family. Or making my own way."

She gives a bright-ish (still spacey) smile to Landon. "And with such personages as yourself, plus the prince, I'm sure it will be fun!"

Finally, after all is said and done and she twiddles her fingers together, she also mutters a final line. It's hard to hear. "Plus, well, being a hero is cool, right?"

Soan Sagittarius (633) has posed:
Soan scratches his chin. Well, at least she's pretty honest about her initial intentions.

"Yeah, we do, actually. I made sure that we had some sort of credit reward going on when I filled the paperwork to start up the club." Soan replies, giving a firm nod toward Landon and Kyra. He wouldn't expect they would know, or at least Kyra. Landon he's a bit more surprised by. "It's kind of an good explanation to occassionally be late, if this is a credit-giving activity, after all. Needs to be documented, of course."

He looks over Mirielle. She don't Smell like Chaos, or anything omnious, altought his other senses do feel a bit sketchy about it. He can't really place it in. Then something clicks about her motivations.

"You never really had much of a chance to get out and adventure, either, did you?"

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
"So then you understand that if you don't participate in club activities, you're not going to get any kinds of credit." Kyra points out after she soldiers through Mirielle's pretty long explanation over using forms and paperwork to get credits or to get seemingly authorized field trips and so on. If anything, it tells her that this girl at least knows how to work the system-but things don't always work out like they do on paper.

Landon al Cid (642) has posed:
Well, that's basically good enough for Landon. Between Soan and Kyra, they seem to have it handled. He offers Mirielle a broad smile. "I think you'll find yourself quite happy here. You seem like an alright sort, and, well...if you intend to take part in the adventures, then I see no reason to stop you. If Soan, Kyra, Dominic, or Kamon has an objection, I'm sure they'll let it be known soon enough."

He shifts a bit. "Ah, I'll...do what I can to make the experience enjoyable, then."

Mirielle Edelweiss (666) has posed:
"Oh! Good, if you've got that out of the way, I can save the forms for later." Mirielle nods, with a happy sort of relief. The last question (from Soan) catches her off guard. "W-well... no. I've had to pay my own way through school, and that required a lot of work. Grades, as well. Scholarships expect certain things... And failing a PE class is out of the question." The summoner notes.

"I don't see how that could be a problem. Assisting people is not only my calling, but my speciality." She offers, spacily.

    "Or is there some problem?"

Soan Sagittarius (633) has posed:
Worked to get into the school, get her education. Soan can absolutely understand where she is getting from. "We'll have to discuss this with every members of the club, but so far I have no objections." He says, going back to her 'references'. He'll look around, ask about. Besides... her smell is weird. It's contradictary. "Oh, certainly, graduating can be stern."

He thinks on this, looking down at her form again. "So, a Calculator, correct? You seem pretty good at hiding."

Mirielle Edelweiss (666) has posed:
"Hmm? Hiding?" Mirielle asks, catching on that note among all the other questions as something beyond the rhetorical. She looks to the trashcan, and then shrugs. "It was prudent. I wanted to find out more about the club, but it seemed... Elite. With a name like the Light Warriors, I was honestly suspicious you would not want me to join it." She notes.

"Well, it's what tends to get me around in the world. I'm not a thief, rogue, or ninja, if that's what you're asking."

Soan Sagittarius (633) has posed:
Soan gives Mirielle another firm nod, furrowing his brows as he think about what she says. So, she was very 'prudent' to hide into the garbage bin, in order to get a good opinion on their supposed status or acceptance level. Well! He's done worse things than that. She still feel somewhat creepy, but, ehn. "Hmmmm. Perhaps we do have an image problem." Soan mumbles, scratching his chin further, hitting some vestigal beard stubble.

He clasps his hands. "In any case, we'll discuss your application, then we'll let you know, okay?"
