        ???, Hydaelyn

Deep underground, glow of red light illuminates the darkness, as magitek forges burn brightly to forge the cermet steel and casters machines shape the molds. The sound echoes against the tall cave walls. The sound is rhythmatic, as each machine carries out their function. Only the people step in to remove the armor, the weapons, and the parts for war.

A man stands suiting up the last of his armor, as the places on the gauntlets and pulls them into place. The magitek clasps lock in, as he flexes the metal clawed fingers. The helm looking like an open of a Dragon's maw and the mask under, hiding his face with the glow of white eyes as the magitek core fires up.

He reaches over and pulls lance that has been fold over, twirling it around until it snaps into place of its full length. He then twirls it around the other way until it folds back up, at which it then attaches to his backside.

Another man walks up to him. In a hooded robe, "Sir, are you sure you should go with the Dravanians? Does our lord wish of this?"

"Our lord does not request of this to be done," The man replies with a calm voice. Being slightly distorted by the mask of the helm. "It is I whom chooses to do so. To show the Dravanians that we do, in fact, serve the same lord and master. Even if one is but the son of another."

The armored knight then goes to walk away, even as he speaks. "Besides, I was once a Tribune under our Lord's service. I watched the near fall of Eorzea and I watched as Bahamut nearly laid claim to all the land below. I know of the wrath of dragons and I know in these times-- the Dravanians need to know where it is we stand."

He then pauses at the top of the hill and looks over his shoulder. "Make sure our men are ready, for though we do not march this day-- soon-- we will march and let ourselves be known..." He then turns back away, "But today-- today we test this Multiverses resolve and see whom it is our Lord and his Father must attend with."

        ----------------

It was a peaceful day in Urbania. The sun was starting to set in the horizon. Buildings and streetlights were starting to come on. Cars drive up and down the avenues. Everything was pretty normal-- and you know, a casual someone trying to mug someone in a corner, to only be caught and arrested by the local authorities.

However in the distance something is seen starting to blacken the sky. No it was not smoke nor magic. It was a large swarm of dragons, from all sizes. Some bigger than a human, some even larger then that. Some as big as a common dog. Some with wyvern shape form, others with different looks all together.

Gaius Van Baelsar (522) has posed:
If the flight of dragons doesn't catch attention, it was the loud piercing roar that does. For the largest dragon of them all suddenly swoops down and rains ice upon the very streets and toward the people below who do not get out of the way. Upon the ice blue, purple wyrm's back is a white armored figure with a dragon's maw for a helm. The massive dragon landed on to the top of a building, it cracking under the beasts weight. Those red eyes gleaming against the blue scales.

The man upon the wyrm's back then calls out to those of Urbania. His voice seeming amplified, "People of this city! You shalt submit yourselves to the might of Bahamut or die upon the crimson light of draconic flame!" The armored man then lowers his head ever so slightly. "If you seek to be saved, lower thy selves upon your knees! For those whom remain standing shall perish..."

Some people actually do get down, perhaps out of fear. Most though-- most though run. For those who do kneel down, bow down before the dragon. The wyrm can only chuckle softly as he then raises up his head and speaks in a low rumble, "It would seem you are indeed your worth, servant of the son."

It would not be long, before several wyrm type dragons swooped down from the skyes and snatched up the people with care, but for those who did not, including even the authorities trying to open fire. They were greeted with a fierce roar from the frozen dragon.

Then the wyrm's words rumbled out with draconic tongue. >"Burns these non-scales alive! Devour them whole! Let none stand in our way! Burn! Burn them all and let us see who is indeed the strongest! For our Lord! For our god! For Bahamut!!"<

It would not be shortly after the declaration does the dragons of all kinds come rushing down, breathing down molting fire. Cashing their claws into cars, and biting their teeth into the people who lay defenseless. Thousands of dragons come from the skies... and their ring leader takes flight. Soaring around the structures and freezing a few in his wake. Using his mighty tail to shatter some of the frozen structure. Sending pieces and frozen glass to the streets below.

Now it is a matter of getting rid of the dragons whom dare to remain with their ring leader. Even as some more heavily weapons are brought to bare, it isn't enough alone. The defense call goes out, to any and to all. Urbania must be saved or it could burn by dragon flame.

Ryu (636) has posed:
    ---Ryu's Quarters, Izzet District, Ravnica---
Ryu was still feeling the horror from what Nael did to him. Day after day, he agonized over it, what it meant, whether it meant he should never use his dragon shape again, even if he knew it killed him. He stared down at the blade and firearm before him, knowing it would not be enough compared to the might and the fury of a dragon.

    Or would it?

Doubt flickered through his mind. And then the report came up.

His eyes widened. A fury welled up in him when it was clear that there were dragons out there exerting their power in a way he couldn't abide. He readied himself for combat, his mind discarding the notions that troubled it for the singular purpose that fills him now: He is going to kill those dragons.

    ---Urbania, now---

Ryu had gotten out of a warpgate and found the chaos in the distance. His wide eyes showed his fury as plain as day, his jaw clenched as he sought out a way to climb up and reach one of the flying dragons. He broke out into a jog, finding a ladder up one of the buildings in the middle of the flight and fighting. Crouching at the edge of the building for a moment, he pulled his heavy sword Bonebreaker from its scabbard. The sword rattles in his hand, a fact he doesn't notice.

He is so furious he is shaking.

Picking an opportune moment, he leaps off a six story building to try and land atop one of the dragons with both of his boots, the heavy blade held in both hands to give a vicious stab downward just afterward!!

"HYAAAAAH!!" he shouts, out of instinctual fear from the drop and the war cry releasing all of his hatred for these dragons to hear.

Karian Icefang has posed:
Dragons aren't the only thing filling the skies. Massive ships fly overhead, and they land nearby. From them emerge the armored warriors known as Space Wolves, elite soldiers of man. "No words, brothers. Take positions and bring those monsters down." Said Karian. He motioned for his men to fan out, their orders simple. Secure any civilians, rally any local military, and commence the dragon-slaying...the evil ones.

Alexis has posed:
Some people go for speed when they travel. Others go for style. Still others rush headlong into the danger of the day and still manage to do it with a touch of both.... Does riding a goat holding its horns like a motorcycle's handlebars count as stylish? It at least counts as trendy if you've been to Kalos.

It also counts as effective, since said goat can jump over the cars starting to congest the streets when dragons are flipping them on their sides. A few people stick their heads out of a window to yell at the hooves clomping across their roof and occasionally flip the finger, but the rider and her unusual mount seem to pay this little mind. Especially when dragons start smashing frozen buildings and sending chunky debris avalanching towards the street below. First a taxi, then on top of a delivery truck, and then leaping over the cab as the trainer jumps off his back and the Gogoat slams horns first into one of the larger falling chunks and shattering it.

Alexis hits the ground in a duck and a rolling, moving again as soon as she's tumbled onto her feet to dive and tackle a couple of pedestrians out of the way of some smaller debris. At the same time a pokeball cracks open mostly of its own accord and her Typhlosion materializes standing over, collar of flames flaring to life instantly as Scorch rears up his head and blasts out a gout of flames to farther reduce the incoming hazards.

Alexis pushes the people away as soon as they can get up to follow the other fleeing masses. "Go'on get outta here! Doesn't this town have monster attack shelters by this point?!" You'd think that would standard for the Multiverse by this point.

Gakupo Kamui (686) has posed:
It figures. It just figures all hell would break loose near where Gakupo ended up. The Vocaloid had been exploring Urbania and trying to get a good idea of what's going on with this unification business. And also looking at likely shopping places!

Thankfully his 'mother' wasn't with him-- she'd stayed at the office today instead of coming out to see the sights. One small blessing about Kagome being an engineer that was married to her work, she was almost always at the office. Meant that he didn't have to worry about her getting hurt.

...Of course now he has to worry about getting himself hurt. Then again, there's people being kidnapped and killed... THAT has to stop. And he can be repaired. Even rebuilt if he's destroyed. Money and time, or lives?

No contest.

So he heads towards the source of the disturbance rather than away from it.

At the moment he's on the ground... but he's going to solve that relatively quickly. While he can't exactly superjump, he can clear two stories pretty easily thanks to the strength and power of his artificial body. Jumping between two buildings that are close enough for him to springboard off of in turns should get him higher up, where he can see what's going on.

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
Urbania must not burn in dragonfire! ...it won't burn in Union ordinance either, if Kyra has anything to say about it. Although her primary function is to distribute healing to those fighting, she comes with her own weapons in case she finds herself subjected to dragon harassment.

When she finally arrives, not by foot but by chocobo-back, she is hauling a very large backpack with her that is clearly weighed down with many, many large and lumpy things. She wastes no time in leaping off her chocobo and seeking out a good building to take up position upon. Even in the chaos, she manages this quickly, finding such a place and quickly dumping the contents of her backpack out of it. With a clatter, poles and large, strange black objects are spilled onto the roof.

Pulling out her mPad, Kyra spins through her apps, selects one, and steps back. The poles rattle, move and, according to the embedded magnet spell circuitry embedded in the parts plus a few borrowed Magic Particles, the device assembles itself into a launcher that looks vaguely like a railgun or, perhaps, a skeet launcher.

Calmly, she puts one of the large, black objects upon the rail and swings the end upward, tracking a dragon as it passes over to unleash more fire. With a grim look on her face, she fires the object into the sky at the dragoon.

The object, a concentrated sphere of Black Matter, detonates into a violent explosion of dark energy that appears to make reality cringe for a few seconds.

Lyria Mason has posed:
Dragons? That was not something she could get used to easily given the nature of the Dragons on her world. They were the servants of the Gods there, here this was just a sort strange horror that Lyria had no real word for. However he's not on foot this time, no she's hanging on the Remora as it comes on in for a landint. It takes a moment for her to leap off and pull out her own mPad and starts to work with the apps she takes a moment moving to select a mode and she calls out.

"Remora!"

the command is issued and the drone starts to seemingly break apart.

the parts sqirls about and she holds out her arms level as they latch on to her after a moment she's entirely encas3ed in the thing that takes form which seems to be some sort of powered armor with a very big gun held in one arm and shield over the other. The blue armor is plain for the moment she's had no really decorate it but there the Remora system is now in assault mode. Lyria inside checks out the hud and everything seems to be working as she now moves to raise the canon and line up a shot with one of the dragons, she takes a moment and then fires at the mockery that these things seem to be.

Rory White (673) has posed:
The warpgate's seeing all kinds of use today! Now a handful of small vehicles and a young woman with blue hair dressed in a labcoat who's pulling a cart full of all sorts of bags and packages with medical red cross insignias on them come barging through! The young woman's eyes are dead-ahead on the road and she quickly beelines into an alley. Why an alley?

Dragons probably aren't aiming at alleys.

Digging into her pile of stuff, she hurls a few frisbee-things into the air. These QUICKLY move under their own power and zip across the city, taking scans and relaying sensor information back to Rory.

Can't do anything without a tactical map, after all!

Gaius Van Baelsar (522) has posed:
The dragon's continue to fill the skies. Many swooping around and others come at last rampaging across the ground. Flightless it would seem, but ever just as powerful. The armored man crosses his arms over his chest as he watched below the fellow Wyrm's backside. "Here comes the locals of great power." He says calmly.

"Hard to believe they would be a match for us of Dravania." The wyrm replies with a low rumble. "Though whom am I to question the Lord's Son..."

As everyone starts to make their way, they will find many dragons to go after in this chaotic scene. Such as Ryu leaps down from above and impales one of the dragons, his sword biting through the thick scales as the dragon screams in pain. The sword seeming to injure the wing joint and with no further flight control it starts to roll.

Just as it begins to roll, another wyvern-like dragon swoops down, with its talons extended to snatch Ryu off the other dragon and maybe slam him into a near by building's window.

As the Space Wolves charge forward, they are soon met by charging grounded dragons. Those massive curved horns being ran low and attempting to smash right into the heavily armored men.

Alexis efforts to aid the people does work, but it also gets the attentions of few of the smaller dragons. With long bodies and almost dragon-fly like wings. They screech in her and her pokemons direction in mild protest for her getting in the way.

Though while people move to the shelters, those little dragons start to make their way right for the Pokemon and their trainer, zipping around and then attempting to harass with little bites and claws.

Kyra takes aim at perhaps the most dangerous of dragons of all, the Ice Wyrm known as Isgebind. A wyrm able to breath ice and freeze something instantly if he so wishes. Though unlike the Wyrm, the knight riding on its back knows that will not be the case for these special people of the Metaverse. For he has done his homework thanks to a Legatus friend within Garlemald.

Actually as Kyra may take notice of this dragon ride as she scopes in. The armor style /looks/ like something akin to Garlean Magitek, including some of the areas that glow ever so faintly against the white cermet steel armor.

Though as she fires the black matter in his direction, he quickly looks that way and then quickly speaks, "Isgebind! Move!" As he leaps off the back of the great wyrm, the wyrm pulls up high suddenly. The black matter explodes just where they were and reality destorts there for a moment, clipping the armor of the unknown Magitek Knight.

As he starts to fall, he flips himself around and parts of the armor start to glow, seeming to suddenly slow his descent, just in time for the wyrm to come rolling back around and move right under the knight.

Those red eyes of the wyrm look directly from where the black matter was launched and if Kyra was smart, she already be gone. As the wyrm then blasts out a massive ice-ball right for that very location that threatens to freeze up the area it impacts with in massive shards of ice.

Gaius Van Baelsar (522) has posed:
Several dragons swirl around to avoid the larger wyrm and then as Lyria armors up, these draconic wyvern dragons swoop down for her. As she pulls the trigger, the shot blasts one of them straight back. Slamming the dragon into a semi truck and flipping it over it. The wings torn, but the dragons slowly gets back up, coughing out blood. Probably had taken extensive injury from the impact.

The other two however come right in to try and snatch at the arms of the mechanic magic construct and knock it right over.

As Gakupo Kamui climbs up ever higher to see everything below. He may get some attention from an unwanted dragon. He'll hear a thump landing down behind him as a dragon with four legs and dark scales starts to walks his way over toward the voicaloid. Those gold draconic eyes seeming to almost glow as the dragon growls lowly. Then speaks up with a hiss in its voice. "You may not be that of Ishgard, but you are not of a heretic either. So I'm sure your bones will be every enjoyable to eat."

Then with a roar, the dragon charges right for Gakupo, leaping into the air seeming ever content to try and shove the man right off the building.

As Rory sends out her freesbies trying to stay unnoticed. She may see one of them suddenly get snatched out of the air by one of the small, lizard dragon-fly dragons. It attempts to shove it to the ground and then curiously shake it around.

Grr. Strange device. Grr.

Thankfully its only one of them.

Karian Icefang has posed:
Karian looks up and then spots...no, it couldn't be. "What? How can you be here? Your back at the fang!" He shouts out at a certain purple haired man climbing a building. Of course, he fires his bolt pistol at the dragon attack Gakupo, the massive bolts likely tearing into the creature's scales. The nearest grounded dragon would find itsel not only being scaled by a wolf lord, but a wolf the size of a tank. "Ygdril! Rip it's Damned throat out!" KArian roars to his wolf, a kill command given.

Ryu (636) has posed:
Ryu is likely to be coated in the blood in another dragon from the good hit. He holds onto his weapon, his hair whipping behind him, using the weapon to brace against the dragon as it plummets from the air. His eyes squint out into the sky as it whirls above him, his mouth drooped into a menacing frown, his glare seeking out another of the Horde to cut down.

Thankfully the next one comes to him. His sword isn't lost when he's grabbed and slammed through a window, the frame making an awful racket as the metallic edges bent inward against the tough muscle of his shoulders, and he gets winged in the head... not to mention a bunch of small cuts from shards of glass that fly past him. His eyes shut and one arm over his face so he's not blinded or cut up in a way that'll kill him, he picks an opportune moment to draw his handgun, Agni, and place the oversized barrel right up against the dragon chest with intent to shoot. He howls his fury at the dragon, the cry of a dragon fighting another.

He fires. The chrysm shot launches burning fire point-blank, singing his sleeve and sending it into the air in tatters. His other arm is busy hanging in a way that suggests he'll try to stab into /this/ dragon as well if it tries to drop him, or stab into a nearby fixture so he doesn't go dropping fifty feet into solid pavement.

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
Garlean magitek armor? Yep, that about confirmed Kyra's fears of the origin of this attack. "Damnit." She swears as she fails to hit the dangerous dragon and rider. This is followed up with an "Oh shit!" as the dragon turns her way. Quickly, she gathers up several armfuls of her remaining black matter shots and runs for the rooftop entrance, diving down into the stairwell below just as the ice ball hits and obliterates the rooftop, freezing the door closed and destroying the portable launcher.

Kyra tumbles down the stairs, the black matter spheres bouncing along with her but not 'detonating' as the reaction was something willed by the MP of the chemist herself.

On a landing, she reorients herself and grumbles as she gathers up her remaining ammo, carrying them back down the stairs with her as she leaves the building. Still grumbling, she pushes through the doors to the building and irritably hurls a piece of black matter at the nearest dragon.

Gakupo Kamui (686) has posed:
Gakupo was expecting attack as soon as he got up onto the building. And it looks like he's not going to be disappointed, either. He narrows his eyes as he hears the thump behind him, turning his head a little. And then he turns to face the approaching dragon, left hand upon the sheath of his sword, right grasping the handle.

While being attacked doesn't suprise him, there IS something that does surprise him. The dragon... SPEAKS?! His eyes widen a little and he freezes, as if trying to process it. It's the voice calling up, something about being at a fang or something, that wakes him up. Just in time to see the dragon leaping at him.

Gakupo leaps up, though not back. He jumps forward and to the side instead. As he leaps he draws his sword, and swings it for the side of the dark-scaled dragon, hoping to cut through the scales there. The sword makes a humming sound as it cuts through the air, sounding much like a violin.

While still trying to keep the dragon in his sights, Gakupo calls down to the owner of that voice who called up to him. "I'm sorry, do we know each other?"

Alexis has posed:
"Brushguard, get those people to shelter. Knock anyone or anything that tries to stop them on its ass." The Gogoat gives a bleat of confirmation, and turns to do just that. You don't heard goats, this goat is gonna heard you. That and battering ram any farther obstructions out of the way. They've been doing this long enough to know it's improtant to get civilians out of the line of fire first and Alexis can trust her pokemon to do so without her there for constant instruction.

Alexis turns back to the other matters at hand, just in time for the dragon-flies (ha ha ha) to come buzzbombing towards them. Scorch grabs her and twists to pull her out of the way, huddling over his trainer to shield her with something akin to defense curl as the pests buzz around snapping and clawing at him.

"You okay, Scorch?" "Typhlosion." <You know I could easily cope a feel in this position.> "Yeah, yer fine." The semi-perverted comment is actually a bit reassuring. It was kind of Scorch's thing. Let's see now. Dragons. Flying dragons. She came prepared for this, didn't she. Alexis clicks a pokeball and rolls it out from under their huddle to let it release...

"Cle-fairy~" A pink pixie winged, puffball? What could such a tiny cute thing do to a bunch of big mean dragons?
If you're asking that, you don't know Pokemon very well. "Stardust... Bring 'em down to earth!"

"Cleee," Stardust raises her pudging arms up over her head. "Faaaaai..." Her eyes sparkle, almost mimicing the shimmer of a night sky. "RY!" She whips her arms down, and with it, the Gravity around them starts abruptly intensifies. Even if it doesn't throw them to the ground completely like it does Flying and Levitating pokemon, the increase in pull should still slow down their evasive movements.

"Now Scorch!" "PHLOSION!" Enough for Scorch's escalating body heat to send out a radiating wave of intense fiery energy from it to clear the dragons out, the thermal shockwave giving some literal meaning to the term 'heat wave'.

Don't worry about Alexis underneath him, she's wearing geat made from fire resistant dragon scales.

Lyria Mason has posed:
There are a heck of a lot of Dragons here she has to admit too many really but she's not alone and she notices the arrival of the Space Wolves who have this very Shivan vibe to them. she odens't think too much on this at this point. She's already tracking the dragon she levels the wepaon again aiming to finish the thing off at this point.

"Come you mockeries you will be going to Davy Jones' locker by the time we're done with you!"

She levels the weapon making reayd to take aim to finish the other dragon off. However unlike many seemingly random mosters? These ones get team work and she's grabbe and force to turn to struggling with them to keep from getting kocked over.

Rory White (673) has posed:
The Saucer grabbed by a weird and curious dragon struggles against its grasp, but the tiny Ionic Drive that propels it can't possibly contest draconic strength.. heck, even a normal person grabbing it would keep it pinned!

Rory has the feed from it still though and she's taking a good look at the creature from the Saucer's camera.

The Ionic Drive works by charging the air and turning some into plasma. Suffice to say, grabbing it is gonna feel HELLA WEIRD and HAIRRAISING.

But Rory's practically written that one off. She directs the others to fly higher, MUCH higher, than the Flight of Dragons lest they suffer a similar fate.

In her perceptions, the battlefield - seen from above - begins taking shape. Thermal maps show the patterns of scorching and devastation and the biggest masses of fleeing people. Subterranean maps acquired through some very advanced probing show the location of subways, shelters... if only roughly. The entire Electromagnetic spectrum's put to use and then some to create a real-time map of the crisis zone!

Helpfully, as soon as the right profiles are created and loaded, all of the Dragons gain the 'this is an enemy' red aura hilighting.

Unfortunately this information is pretty useless to her, but she's looking for anyone nearby who's hurt. And more importantly....

Gaius Van Baelsar (522) has posed:
Karian's wolf attempts to shove the ground drake over for the kill. Those hard scales stiffen up to make it hard for the wolf to get his fang's around the dragon's very thick neck. The beast roars as the teeth hover do scratch up the surface and then attempts to actually leap its hign quarters in the air to knock the wolf off, before then hefting a fireball for the wolf's face.

Another of the ground dragon freed up for a moment attempts to charge in from the flank of the wolf. Maybe not the smartest of ideas if the wolf is smart...

The Dragon that slams Ryu, does try to get away, only to find the youth not so willing to let that be. Instead the handgun fires and slams into the chest of the dragon, ripping apart the scales and going clean out the other side.

The Dragon screams in pain, before it tries to breath fire right at Ryu-- yet his howl is heard. The howl of another dragon. This causes the dyeing wyvern to look in some confusion, before its life slips away and the wyvern goes crashing down to the ground.

As Kyra makes it outside, she is greeted by a ground dragon that is actually tearing apart a parked car with its massive jaws. It rips the metal to shreds before shaking it side to side. Though as she throws the orb, it then tosses the piece of car in its way.

The explosion destroys the piece of car and nicks the dragon, causing it to flinch back. However it growls lowly and then speaks in its draconic tongue. >"Foolish soft-skin. Take more then that to beat us!"< He then leaps over the distortion that still remains. The massive talons digging into the ground as he lands, then he goes charging right at Kyra with his head down.

Much like a bull coming in for a charge.

As for the Dragon after Gakupo, it leaps through the air and Karian's bullet nails the beast on the shoulder, clipping the scales off and piercing the skin. Around the same time that Gakupo's sword scythes off a few scales along the other side.

The black dragon roars out in pain and including as he goes right off. His body flips in the air as he then opens his wings and quickly goes right back up in the air, turning himself about to dive right for Gakupo, bursting out flames from his maw as he roars at the strange man.

People are being hearded by the goat-- which may seem odd to some, but this is Multiverse after all! Strange is kind of its deal. The dragon-flies attempt to harass the fiery pokemon, that is until suddenly a new challenger appears and with its mighty fairy magical power, sends gravity against them.

This easily grounds the small dragon-flies, but the larger scale-kin out there whom are flying around find their bodies getting heavier and a few of them swoop down and over, as they try to glide out of the odd phenomenon that is happening.

This leads a good deal of them in the path of Scorch's own attack, which the heat wave slams into them, knocking a few of them to the ground. Burning up the tiny ones, and causing a few of them to actually /take/ cover which were mostly the ground draconic units.

One of the wyvern dragons seems to take exception to this and then goes to return the heat wave favor, with a massive bellow of dragon fire that only adds to the melted ground and cars to Scorch's already heated attack.

Gaius Van Baelsar (522) has posed:
Lyria finds out that yes, the Dravanian Horde are far smarter then your typical a-class monsters. As she struggles with them, they struggle with her. Hiss and snarling at her in aggitation to her fight. She manages to at last get one of them to let go, that gets flung over to the side.

While the other then attempts to actually bite down for the helm of her magical magitek armor. Though this may not be the smartest of ideas.

As for Rory and her device that the little dragon pinned. It activates its own defenses and the little dragon chirps in protest! It lets go and as it goes to fly away, it wants to follow and chirps away at it. Though it quickly excuses itself as a larger ground drake makes the scene and throws a dumpster aside.

It comes to a halt though as it picks up a scent in the air. Those emerald green draconic eyes suddenly look down the ally where Rory was at and growls lowly. Its back spikes arch up as he thumps with each slow step down toward the ally.

Its sharp razor fangs bare as it huffs out smoke from its nostrils. Then it slams its harms into the side of one building and then into another before it roars out in the best possible way it can speak. "FIGHT ME WELP!"

As for the unknown knight and his companion. He leans over the side to then notice as a device goes flying by. "Is that.."

Isgebind rumbles about then, "Should I blast it from the skies you think? After all, this is our domain."

"I'd rather capture one and study it.. and your ice would simply damage it.. and yet I wonder if the strength of these men also are given to the items they craft." The draconic armor knight then chuckles. "Second thought, mighty Isgebind... Blast the devices from the sky!"

Isgebind roars in return and then with his mighty wings, swoops towards a few of the devices trying to get higher, before a stream of ice blasts out from his maw, attempting to test the structure of some of these very devices.

Karian Icefang has posed:
Karian growls as he spots the other dragon charging in, but gets an idea. "Move, Ygdril!" He shouts at perhaps the last possible second. Thunderwolves were smart, and Ygdril smarter then that. The wolf dodges to the side of the fireball, and just barely manages to leap from the charge range. Of course, Karian's got his power sword drawn, and if the other dragon stops, that sword is going to be plunged into the first lizard's neck.

Bahamut has posed:
After Isgebind roars and ices a few devices, there is another powerful roar from above him. Runed circles of light appear in the sky, forming a long cylinder, and something that looks like a comet is falling toward them. Of course, once it is a bit closer, the comet is clearly another dragon. The runed circles shatter each time the dragon hits one, surrounding his sleek metallic scutes with sparks and shards like glass that quickly disintegrate, slowing his fall.

As he nears the ground, the 15 foot tall dragon spreads his multicolored wings and comes to a hover. "You who attack this place bring dishonor to all dragons! This cannot abide!" he bellows. As he charges energy, forming several orbs of white crackling energy that float around his shoulders, the new challenger introduces himself.

"I am Bahamut, King of the dragons of Spira and Aeon of Bevelle! You will cease this sensless attack or face destruction!" he roars before launching those orbs. Though they seem haphazard in their trajectory, they fly only toward Isgebind and his rider, exploding on impact and possibly making them feel heavy as the magic attempts to petrify them.

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
"You've got to be fucking kidding me!" Kyra snarls in frustration as the black matter is intercepted by /car pieces/. "Do you know how much work it is to get this crap synthesized!?" Probably not, and the dragon doesn't care, but boy does wasting reagents make Kyra angry. Rare ones especially.

Working a hand free, Kyra grasps a different flask off her belt and slams it down on the ground in front of her. Whatever is in the flask mixes, producing copious amounts of smoke, letting the dragon charge into a smoke cloud and, notably, not into Kyra.

Backing away back into the building, she stows the remaining pieces of black matter inside and draws her needlegun from its holster, using the building as cover as she selects a dart from one of her bandoliers. With the gun in one hand, the mPad resurfaces, using the feed provided by Rory white to locate the dragon that had charged into her smoke to help her aim.

The shot fired is not one of her usual potions or hipotions but the exact opposite. Kyra's not sure if one of her genetically engineered bio-agents will work on the dragon and sicken it for a limited period of time as intended but now seems like a fine time for some experimentation.

Gakupo Kamui (686) has posed:
Probably wise not to have an extended conversation about who does or doesn't know Gakupo just yet; that can happen after the battle. The battle with these dragons is fierce, and these things are not likely to go down easily. Not only that, but he's having a tough time with just ONE of these beasts. And he has no idea how many of them there are. This is going to be a tough battle for everyone involved!

Gakupo's at the edge of the roof when the dragon dives down at him again. He has no place to go but forward. So he dives forward, into a roll, to avoid the greatest part of the fire. He can't quite dodge it all, though. And he loses the end of his topknot, the artificial hair smoldering and shriveling, the smell of melting plastic filling the air. There will be time to concern himself with it later, though.

He gets back to his feet quickly, turning mid-roll to face himself in the other direction as he stands. As he stands, an electronic whine starts up in his headset, a sound like electronics powering up. Then he opens his mouth, and a white flash of energy erupts from his open mouth, aimed at the dragon. If it hits it's liable to be unpleasant. Mainly because sonic attacks tend to shake, rattle, and roll the things they strike.

Ryu (636) has posed:
The dragon comes crashing down, and Ryan makes a concentrated effort to land on top of it. The confusion he caught in its eyes gave him a moment of pause, and the distraction got him batting cinders off of his arm. He stares at his bare skin, only cut up, not burnt overly much from the backlash of his own weapon. He felt the sting in his eyes as dust and smoke blew up into his face from the downed dragon beneath him. He stared down at it with a tense jaw, golden eyes narrowing at it. A feeling welled up in him, not triumph, but just more fury.

He turns and starts to march down the pavement, his boots crunching at glass. He sees another dragon coming in for a swoop from a distance away, through his own watering eyes, and he breathes in and lets a bellowing roar at it, a challenge. Despite his human shape, the crystalline noise echoes for a great distance, and smoke and fire billows and pours from his mouth.

He's trying to make it very clear he's going to keep fighting until they leave or they're dead in the way they'd best understand it, the way his body his telling him to say it.

Alexis has posed:
<Okay enough shielding!> Scorch snaps and before Alexis can object -throws- her out of the way of the incoming attack, knowing better than risking the chances of how well her fireproof gear is going to hold up otherworldly dragons. A few moments afterwards the wyrm's attack -slams- into the Typhlosion. While being a fire type makes him fairly resistant to other fire like attacks, the blast hits with enough force -besides- the flames to throw him off his feet, over a wrecked car, and into the side of a building with a deafening crash. A vagely giant badger shaped hole is left in the wake of dust falling from the impact, two stubby feet sticking out of it. Scorch manages to wave a forepaw out. <I'm fine! Just a little punch drunk!... ooh look at the stars...>

Alexis gets a tough rumble out of the throw but is spared worse effects. A hand grabs the pavement to arrest her motion and then she climbs back up into a crouch. She retuned her comm-link while she was being covered so glancing at the PokeNav strapped to one wrist gives her a small holographic view of the map. Still lots of dragons out there. Scorch is out for the moment. She doesn't want to bring out her 'big red emergency button' unless she really has to, so grabs the other two pokeballs off her belt as she stands. "Stardust!" Alexis almost orders an attack, but then remembers the breeding she put into the Clefairy and changes her mind. "Use Misty Terrain!" The Clefairy's cat-like ears perk up, followed by an almost giggling sound as she wags flits her wings enough to just get off the ground and spins around. A glittering pink puffy mist swirls about her as she does and then scatters across the area Alexis and her pokemon are fighting. Much like the Gravity slowing down movements and making it harder to fly, rather than an offensive effect the Fairy energized mists have a strong dampaning effect on the strength of dragonic attacks.

Trying to stack as much tactical advantage as she can give her Pokemon in the fight. People forget the rough and tumble tomboy isn't lacking in the clever department when it comes to combat tactics! "Go, Masaider, Sanshou!" And now things are getting heavy. Literally, as the first release gives the ground a light shake beneath the weight of the Rhyperior as the dino-rhino rears back his head and roars. Next to him is slightly less thunderous as the Lucario just strikes a martial arts stance next to him, her eyes already glowing faintly as her aura tunes into the various entities around them.

And then just as abruptly she's -gone-. Not teleporting, but it certainly seems like it as the Lucario moves almost too past to be seen, appearing right next to one of the grounded dragons to strike it with an Extremespeed propelled power kick that would make Chuck Norris proud.

Meanwhile Masaider reachs down to grab a portion of the pavement and -rip- it off the ground. If that isn't impressive to see, then you've got the fact that he lifts his arm up to level it at the Wyrm that attacked them and with a muscle flex FIRES it from his hand like a cannon. It hits like one too, utilizing the chunk of pavement with Smack Down to bring the Wyrm the rest of the way to the ground.

Alexis just steps over so she's more behind the Rhyperior for relative safety, seeing as he's literlly built like a brick wall.

Lyria Mason has posed:
Lyria is finding thes things might be aware but she's struggling and her machine's armour is fiarly sturdy at this point she gets them off oif her there are others now trying to bite on her and that's not the best idea no. She moves to grab the thing buy the head and attempt to wrench it free and then throw it away.

"Get off me you flying Hersey!"

She shouts before trying to ready her weapons again at this point. She does however pick up Rory's here.,

<<Rory? Keep the info comming!>

She then attemps to punch the dragon if she's able to get it off her in the first place.

Rory White (673) has posed:
Rory finds herself distracted slightly by the STRANGE things going on. People are shootin at her gadgetry! One of the Saucers is hit with an ice blast. It doesn't deal well with this. The little thing is TOUGH but ice throws off its flying mechanism. It spirals weirdly after the impact, now laden with extra weight and completely off-balanced, possibly damaged! It spirals down through the ground in the weirdest looping, wobbling fashion... as though it were drunk.

The one the little dragon released goes flying up on its pre-programmed route, though it wobbles for a while before it regains balance.

The BROADCASTED MAP now has a few holes in it where the sensors have been destroyed. The aerial Saucers still in service all zip about into a new pattern to increase coverage as much as possible and compensate...

But meanwhile Rory, in the alley with her medical gear... turns her head towards the dragon and regards it with an uneasy, but almost unreactive expression.

    Rory backpedals.

But two tread-mounted robots advance. They unfold horizontally, revealing an array of... not really anything? Little holes.

What these holes ARE might become apparent only when it's too late.

No matter how fast a dragon can blink, chances are it's nowhere near as fast as lightspeed.

Lasers are invisible to the naked eye. And they travel at light speed.

But by the time the dragon learns this the painful way if all goes well, Rory?

RORY is high-tailing it with her cart further down the alley and hunting for ANY kind of door to bust open and use to enter a building where the dragons can't find her!

Gaius Van Baelsar (522) has posed:
Once the wolf dodges, the fire ball slams into the charging Drake. The beast roars and nearlys falls over, which is just in time for the Space Wolf Marine to slam his sword right into the Drake's neck. The Drake tries to fight, but the more he does-- the deeper he can feel the blade go.

Though as this happens the other Drake roars what sounds like a no and then seeming out of rage, goes to charge right at Karian and throw its entire body weight into him.

When Bahamut makes the scenes, the thought of capturing the devices suddenly switches gears to now having to be far more at ready. The unknown knight chuckles softly at the introduction. "..Well then."

Though while the knight sounds amused, the Ice Wyrm is far from it. Instead he comes to hover as his eyes narrow. He says calmly and with a sneer at the corner of his maws, "You are not my Bahamut... and you are no god to me." The Dragon then roars and with a hard push of his wings, he goes right in for the Aeon.

As the orbs come flying in of magic, Isgebind twirls his body around the orbs. The rider hanging on as they move in and right past Bahamut. What incantation of spell did make home, the unknown dragon knight uses the magitek to lift away the spell, before taking a step back. "I shall leave this to you, Isgebind."

He then chuckles softly behind the helm. "I have another interest in matter." He then flips off the dragon, with the folded lance in hand.

Just where is he going?

Isgebind however charges up his own breath and then goes to blast a massive ice ball right for Bahamut, something that once it makes impact with anything explodes outward and attempts to cover it all in penetrating ice.

When Kyra explodes the smoke 'bomb', the ground drake loses her and he roars out in anger about it too. Stomping around in sheer frustration. Thanks to her being stealthy and ground drakes not being the /smartest/ of the lot. Her shot makes it to the heavy plated beast and hits it right in the weak spot.

The Dragon howls in anger and then goes to charge in that direction, only to slip up and slide across the ground. It seems that stuff actually /worked/-- well-- at least for now.

Gakupo does something though the Dragon he faces wasn't expecting and that is a sonic attack. The sheer sonic waves cause the Dragon to roar in pain, and including forces the beast to actually take flight to get away /from/ the sonic sounds.

Leaving him alone for a moment; At last.

Gaius Van Baelsar (522) has posed:
As Ryu however bellows out in a crystalline roar, the Wyvern dragon lands down with a hard thud and snarls back at the young man whom is demostrating many dragon traits. He snarls at him before the dragon speaks up, "You smell of dragon fire, but you are not of our brood." The Wyvern's tail then lashes side to side. "Yet if you were to join us, you could aid us in our battle." Then the dragon's tongue changes to the native draconic language. >"Join us against the fight of those who oppose us. Join us in freeing our world from the clutches of those who done us wrong!"<

The Wyvern then spreads out his wings slighly, making himself a bit larger and eyes then narrow. >"Or perish with these fools... For I will gladly die for my god and his son."<

Alexis uses her brain to go along side those tomboy looks. As the Clefairy attempts to debuff the dragons, and then her other two pokemon called out come in to bring out the punishment. The Lucario getting some easy landing hits as the dragons have no idea what to do with the strange creature and eventually try to /bite/ Lucario in frustration, even though their body is wanting to fall to the ground.

A Ground drake slams its head into the thrown piece of concrete and finds this was not the wisest of ideas, as it falls flat into the ground. Another however takes its place and goes charging right for the brick wall of a pokemon.

The Wyvern dragon gets knocked back and then punched for all of its effort. Though as the other one comes too, it attempts to tackle Lyria's backside and then gather up flames in its maw as it speaks. "Hersy?! Ishgardian TALK!" He roars out in unexpected anger, before trying to blast its infernal flames right down on the armor.

The two robots that Rory activate do in fact blast laser holes through the dragon's hide. It roars out in pain and in reply to those laser blasts, including as it body perhaps gets pumped full of more of them is blasting down a massive fireball at the two machines.

Though as Rory runs, she soon finds herself an unexpected guest. The unknown knight lands down right in front of her, knelt down. The lance has yet to be unfolded and he only slowly looks up at her from his crouched stance. Those glowing white eyes looking directly at her. "I am /most/ curious about your toys, my dear." He says with a calm, but amused sound. "Think we could have a... talk?"

Karian Icefang has posed:
Karian looks over, smirking softly. He pulls his pistol again and fires a trio of rounds towards the dragon's head from close range. "Try me, overgrown lizard. I'll be roasting you over a fire before the day is done." He taunts. Meanwhile, the giant wolf heads over to help Gakupo. It casts a glance to him, one that is both the kind one expects from either seeing an old friend, or confusion at one's appearence.

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
Kyra disappears again for a few minutes. She's definitely -around- if the ground drake is capable of smell. The smoke doesn't stick around either and eventually wafts away, encouraged by the still-beating wings of whatever dragons have managed to remain airborne.

When the smoke clears, the ground drake will see Kyra clearly running the hell away from it, still holding her remaining pieces of black matter clutched in her arms.

But if he looks down directly in front of him, he'll see the one spherical piece she left behind just for that particular dragon. He can admire the surface, which is black like the abyss and seems to absorb light, for a few seconds before the object detonates.

Changing tracks entirely, rather than things to throw the remaining dark matter at (although there are plenty of targets), Kyra instead looks for defenders to heal. Fortunately, today it appears her magic is cooperating entirely and will function as intended.

Bahamut has posed:
Not a single shot of Impact hits the dragon? That is annoying. "No, I am not. If I were this god you speak of, I would no doubt have destroyed you by now for your treachery." Bahamut says as the other dragon approaches. Bahamut dives toward Isgebind, ready to meet his charge. But, that ice attack catches him and starts closing in around him. He quickly pulls his wings in and aims himself at Isgebind as he freezes, trying to form into a living cannonball.

Whether he hits or not, he charges up a spell again as the ice closes in. There is a bright orange-red glow from within the ice, followed by an explosion of Firaga to decimate the ice, then Bahamut's wings spread again to send ice showering down around him as he takes back to the skies.

Ryu (636) has posed:
Ryu stares at the Wyvern... and feels the slightest smidgen of uncertainty. But not because he supports the idea of joining them. He remains tense and ready to attack at any second, one hand clutching Agni, the other holding Bonebreaker, the two violently-named weapons ready to do their jobs and draw more blood. He listens to the dragon's words, in both languages, with an unflinching glower.

There's a pregnant pause, like he's considering what the Wyvern is saying. He doesn't immediately leap into violence, so he must be giving it more than a second of thought. The pause halts and his response begins with the click of the hammer on Agni pulling back, the weapon raised threateningly.

"You are an empty excuse for a dragon, to follow so blindly."

Disgusted with the entire ideal behind the dragon's words, he opens fire, blasting several explosive fire shots at it, blowing his hair back as the weapon's hammer slams the resonance crystal and sends a charge through the chrysm shard. BOOM, BOOM, BOOM!! He hasn't seemed to realize that he has formed a strong stance on what a Proper Dragon is, just that it came to him in a natural flow of emotion.

Gakupo Kamui (686) has posed:
Well, the dragon's away at this point. Though one has to ask why. Maybe it didn't like the sonic attack? But it's left him free, able to help someone else if necessary. Through local radio bands he observes, "<I think they don't like sonic attacks. So if you have any, try them.>" He's not sure it was the sonic attack but hey, every little bit might help!

It's about then that he notices Rory's dilemma. She looks like she's trapped between a rock and a hard place down there. Quickly the android runs across the roofs in her direction. Once he makes the building next to the alley she's in, he steps off the building, aiming himself straight down, headfirst. Until about fifteen or twenty feet from the ground, whereupon he turns abruptly, his hakama and jinbaori catching the air and somehow slowing him. It's enough that he is able to land, cracking the asphalt as one foot, one knee, and one fist slam into the ground. He's trying to land between Rory and the approaching man.

Aimed correctly or not he should be able to see the man anyway. So he stands, sword sheathed, looking at the one approaching Rory with narrowed eyes. "This is hardly the proper venue for a talk," he points out. "You mean 'threaten'." Those who threaten people that they thing are weaker than them don't sit well with Gakupo.

As an added bonus of this, if Karian's giant wolf is still heading for where Gakupo is, will be heading in Rory's direction too. So the android may unknowingly be bringing a guest to the party, one who may be approaching from the other side.

Alexis has posed:
That's about all the debuffs they can throw down until they start wearing off, so Alexis switchs tactics with the support option. "Stardust, go help Scorch." "Clefairy!" It's kind of odd seeing the marshmellowy fairy-mon bouncing off so cheerfully in middle of utter destructive chaos, but clefairy aren't exactly known for being easy to get down in the spirits.

Another wyrm comes charing in to make up for the one they downed. Considering what animals the creature it's charging resembles, one has to wonder if this is actually a wise idea. Not that Alexis bothers pondering waisting the opperitunity, climbing onto Masaider's back as he digs his feet into the ground, and takes off with thunderous strides to meet the incoming opposition. As he does so in pokemon's utter disregard of casual biology the rhino horns on his head start to -spin like drills-. There's a reason the tactic is called Drill Run. He's running with drills... and well even though the dragon slams into him pretty hard, that's got to be a harsh introduction to bizarre pokemon physiology!

Doesn't help matters that after the two collide Alexis stands up on her Rhyperior's shoulders and heaves a mallet out of her golfbag of gear, screaming "DRAGON POLO!" as she swings it at the beast's head.

The ground drake's chomping entices a hiss of pain from the Lucario, while at the same time the drake may find his chomping victim to not be as squishy as he expected due to the metallic nature of her fur. While its trying to gnaw on her shoulder Sanshou grabs it around the neck instead of breaking free, and using the grapple to hoist the drake over her head and then violently piledrive it into the pavement. No one is likely surprised that Alexis teachs her Fighting types wrestling techniques. Especially knowing others she has include a luchador hawkman and a firepig wrassler.

Stardust bounces up to peak past the wall Scorch fell through, then hops up to plant a kiss on the Typhlosion's cheek. Because that's the easiest and cutest way to use Heal Pulse and give him back some fighting energy.

Lyria Mason has posed:
Lyria Mason says "Dragons rampaging rather than defending! Say what you will then!"

I her world the Dragons were the children of Bahamut and protectorsa of the world from the ENEMY and seeing dragns like this? Angered Lyria quite a bit but there's not much she can do, a pannel pulls back on the shoulder and laucnhes a flight of Magi Tech missiles. That instant before the flame comes and she's forced to abort furhter launches it might also throw her arm up but she brings up the shield to attempt to deflect a lot of it and things are sure heating up.

Rory White (673) has posed:
Controlling a body just isn't NATURAL to Rory. But she has to preserve this one, because she's sleeved into it. Hence, when the Dragon Knight comes toppling down in front of her... "Aaahhh!"

She reels back... and topples onto her tush. There's a THUNK, a bit heavier than should've been heard from a normal person falling over, but whether this detail's one anyone will notice... who knows.

She scrambles back awkwardly, now placing the cart of medical supplies between herself and the knight for whatever defense it will offer.

This is BAD. Bad bad bad.

Particularly because the two robots from before have just gotten SCORCHED. Fire normally isn't enough to disable Rory's mechs! Indeed they are rated for far... FAR greater temperatuers...

    ... than the poor pavement.

Which melted just enough to trap the treads. And they cannot escape it.

    A miscalculation on Rory's part!

"Wh-who... who are you?" There's fear in her eyes, but it's not mortal fear. She is not in danger of true death here, properly... but capture would be a most distressing outcome, as would having to activate a contingency plan...

Thankfully, in comes Kamui Gakupo. The blue-haired maiden's eyes light up with relief as he drops in. SALVATION! "One of the voices from the radio!"

That helps her nerves some. Still hunkering behind the equipment cart, she asks the Dragon Knight, "Talking doesn't require weapons, sir..."

Gaius Van Baelsar (522) has posed:
While Karian's men have to deal with more Ground Drake's. Karian himself seems rather free from them, thanks to the well aimed shots into the dragon's skull. Meanwhile for Kyra however, while her orbs goes off and claims a dragons life, she is far from being left alone.

She'll soon notice a shadow starting to follow her overhead, before suddenly a dragon lands down directly in front of her and then heaves out a large flame of fire in order to impeded her tracks.

Isgebind growls at Bahamut's words, "And proves how little you understand the plight of our people or our world!" As he watches Bahamut's form get iced over, he was not expecting the Aeon to send himself right in the direction of the Ice Wyrm.

The Ice ball slams into Isgebind and then figra only blasts him back. The Ice Wyrm roars out in pain as he slams into a high tower, knocking over radio towers and even falling into another building below. Though as that radio tower falls over, it gets caught by Isgebind as he manages to get himself back up and actually /carries/ the man mad device into the air.

He then speaks in a draconic tongue to Bahamut. >"I would explain it to you, but your mind is clouded and you can not hear the cries of our people. So it only fall upon deaf ears."< He then goes to drop the radio tower, before flipping his body in the air and slamming it with his tail.

This sending radio tower at Bahamut, but it is not what he should be concerned about. It is the sudden frost breath that follows after it.

The Wyvern who faces down Ryu however, can only narrow his eyes and attempt to dodge the shots. Yet one of them makes impact, blasting into his wing as he howls in pain. He snarls and then goes to charge, >"It is you who are blind! Blind by your soft skin and soft words! Should not expect less from someone outside of our lands--"< The Wyvern then leaps to the side, as flames lick around his teeth, >"--outside of our mother's warmth!"< Then a blast of flame rips right for Ryu.

As Lyria opens fire with the Magi Missiles, the Wyvern tries to get out of the way, but is only caught in the barrage howling in pain. The other one who was breathing flames, eventually leaps off, using Lyria's armor like a springboard.

The wyvern flaps in the air and snarls down at her, before it speaks up once more. "You fight like those who killed our ancestors. No better are these outside then those from within! They speak the truth!" The Wyvern declares, before oddly swooping over to pick up its smaller comrade in its talons and then flying back into the air.

Just what was that all about?

Gaius Van Baelsar (522) has posed:
The Ground Drake running head long into trouble, finds that Alexis' pokemon are-- brutal. Including the young woman herself. The drill bites hard into the Dragon's skull, causing it to roar in pain and the mallet slams it aside, where it tumbles down to the ground unconscious.

As for the one trying to chomp Lucario, it wasn't expecting metal-- and nor was it expecting to get thrown over either! The ground drake is slammed into the ground with such force, the area around it quakes and that one too, lays unconscious.

Bit by bit, the numbers are starting to dwindle, but there is still so many more in the skies and coming into the fray above...

As for the Dragon Knight he simply takes a step forward, keeping the weapon folded up. No aggression seems to be coming from him. Not yet anyways. "Who am I? That is a very good question..." he says with a chuckle. "Matters little, don't you think?"

"Your devices however..."

Though that is interrupted when Gakupo comes to the rescue. The Dragon Knight stares at the man who lands before him. Taking note of the damage done to the payment and hrms softly. "You are not human... machine?"

The Dragon Knight tsks softly."I guess I'll have to find out more about her toys later." He then takes a few steps back and actually /bows/. "I think this game has come to an end." As he starts to stand back up, blue flame erupts around him. Deep blue flame, before he speaks once more. "We have gotten what we have came for. That will be enough."

Soon the armored figure seems to teleport away in a flash of blue fire. The deep blue flames remaining in a ring to where he stood, at least for a short time-- though they slowly started to die down. The Dragon Knight then appears on a building roof before he actives his weapon with a twirl of it and points it upward. Then he slams the butt of it into the ground. A Loud harmonic THUM echoes across the area.

Many of the dragons near by hear this sound and they suddenly go to take flight. Though the few still caught in conflicts have yet to leave...

Karian Icefang has posed:
Karian grins widely down at his kill. "Your skull will make a find trophy, your horns fine drinking horns...course my wolf will get your bones after I see what dragon tastes like." Then, the wolf lord leaps off eyeing the knight, and shouting at him before he leaves. "You've made a grave enemy, Knight! Where you go, the Sons of Russ will hunt you! For every innocent killed, you shall feel their pain a hundred fold. In the allfather's name, I swear this." Ygdril, the wolf following Kamui, leaps out trying to snap at the knight, but misses...and nearly crashes into Rory.

Ryu (636) has posed:
Ryu grimaces at the zealous dragon's dismissal. He was hoping to dig into some sense of pride in self, but this dragon was bound and determined by some kind of suicidal urge. It could not have rankled him more, and yet he found it astoundingly easy to remain in his human shape... to prove a point? Out of fear of control? He didn't know, and it didn't occur to him as fire billowed toward him.

Holstering his weapon, he grabbed the hilt of Bonebreaker with his other hand, taking up a strong stance. White magic pulses from his feet and through his body to his hands, and collected around his sword. Although it would not stop the whole blast of fire, it stopped enough to keep the less experienced dragon from burning to cinders.

And then he would dash toward the Wyvern through the flames that likely obscured vision a moment before, whirling about with the blade aimed for the next for a vicious leaping chop. "TELL YOUR GOD..." SWING!! "YOU DIED TO A WEAKLING!!" he bellows at the Wyvern. He sounded in pain, which made sense, since his coat was /on fire/ and his face and hair was singed by the fire blast, his body lightly cooked from the sheer heat of being near the larger dragon's flames.

Gakupo Kamui (686) has posed:
Hopefully Rory won't get her hopes up too much. In the case that this armored man should attack him, it's very likely that the best Gakupo can hope to do is distract him a little bit. Gakupo's frame is pretty strong compared to a human... but this guy is probably no more human than the beasts that are flying and/or running around generally just causing trouble.

Gakupo's sword is sheathed. However as the armored man asks if he is a machine, the thumb of Gakupo's left hand pushes the sword just a little bit out of the sheath. He doesn't draw it yet, but the intent to do so is clearly there. "Leave her be," Gakupo states, synthesized voice pitched in a low octave.

Whether it was Gakupo's threat or not-- the android has his doubts-- the armored man is suddenly disappearing, teleporting away in blue fire. Gakupo shifts to defend himself if necessary, only to discover that it was indeed just a teleport. He doesn't immediately relax though... no telling if that armored man is going to pop up somewhere else.

Once it becomes clear that the man isn't coming back, at least not immediately, he relaxes and lets his thumb release the sword at his side. A skidding giant wolf gets his attention, and he pauses to make sure it's not going to bowl anybody over before looking at the wolf. He'd seen it out there fighting, so he's pretty sure it's not going to eat him. Hopefully. Then he looks at Rory. If she's still on the ground, he'll offer her a hand up. "Are you all right?"

Bahamut has posed:
Bahamut has plenty of time to prepare this time, and as that tower flies at him, Bahamut growls. "My mind is never clouded. It is the gift of Bahamut of my world." he says, even as the gyro on his back starts to spin and energy crackles over it. It gains speed as energy builds in front of Bahamut's open maw. "Whatever your goal, this sort of destruction cannot possibly serve a noble goal worthy of a true dragon!" he roars before...

     FWOOOOM!

A beam of pure energy as broad as Bahamut himself fires at the ice wyrm! Bahamut plants to annihilate the radio tower and the ice shot with his own attack, and if successful the beam would expand to engulf Isgebind in pure destructive power. Searing, explosive, non-elemental power. The beam is solid from the time it leaves Bahamut until it hits something, and for several seconds after, promising plenty of damage to whatever it is he hits. Hopefully an ice wyrm.

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
Whatever happens when the Dark Matter goes off, Kyra doesn't stick around to watch. It's both in part trying to get away from being caught by her own alchemy and not wanting to be around if that did not kill or incapacitate that dragon. Ultimately, she starts to think that maybe she should have just stuck to healing in the absence of someone to cover her outright since trying to one on one these things wasn't proving to be very successful. Kind of a /bad/ thing, really, given the numbers.

Though she still makes a mental note to engineer some kind of anti-dragon germ. Somewhere outside of Galianda, of course, so she doesn't get lynched.

The flash of shadow overhead makes her look up and she spies the dragon as it's swooping down. Initially, she thinks it's about to land on her and lets out a startled screech as she drops her remaining dark matter and runs away at a right angle. Panicking, she detonates the remains with a mutter at around the same time as the fire breath, resulting in an extremely impressive explosion that sends the white mage flying down the block.

She skids along the ground before painfully thudding against a building. A groan escapes her as she dives into an alleyway for cover, buying herself some time to heal with some cure spells.

Alexis has posed:
Alexis frowns as the 'knight' mentions having what they came for and the dragons start to lift off. Then it comes to her, and it only makes her scowl more as she stomps a foot (not that Masaider minds being made of rock armor). "Goddish dammit! They were testing us. Seeing what sort of opposition they have to deal with outside of their own world." Now she's glad she didn't have to pull out her final trump card, that's still a trick up her sleeve for later.

<Well if its a test,> Scorch growls as he finally rejoins the others. <I say we ace it all over their asses.>
"And this is why I keep you around." Alexis hopped off her ride and took Stardust from Scorch as she stepped out of the way. "Let them have it you three. Hold nuttin' back."

Masaider digs his feet into the ground, holding his hands near his chest as chunks of rock and dirt builds up between them. Soushon steps in front of him since she's shorter and starts consolidating energy between her front paws in a pose that looks much like Saiyan does, just without so much filler time yelling to power up. Scorch crouchs down in front of both of them as his flames flare fully to life once more.

<BLAST BURN!> Scorch's flame collar burns so hot it briefly turns blue instead, as does the torret of flames that erupts out of his maw.
<FLASH CANNON!> Soushon thrusts her arms in front of her, releasing the charge of auric energy like a streaming blue-silver laser beam.
<ROCK WRECKER!> And to top it Masaider raises the now massive boulder and uses -both- arm-launchers to hurtling it like a giant cannonball.

All three of the attacks combine into one, TEARING across the street and through any remaining dragons that don't get out of the way quick enough.

Rory White (673) has posed:
"Ack ack AAAH!" With so much happening at once Rory kind of panics. A huge wolf comes barreling down the alley! She braces herself to try and.. cushion te thing's impact? For her benefit? Or Ygdril's? Hard to say. But her arms are up and she doesn't seem too frightened of the monster!

Rory doesn't smell exactly edible anyways. The flesh covering is just a mask for the most part...

If she has to brace him so he doesn't crash into things though, she does. Apparently she's not worried about being bitten!

"I'm okay! ... Just startled... lost more sensors than anything else, but they can be replaced! ... Sorry, I should've taken cover somewhere..."

Lyria Mason has posed:
Lyria Mason suddenly knows how a Goomba might feel, however she more study but the famage is notable as the thing fights back for a moment.

"The Extraverse seems to be a twisted mirror sometimes."

She's more upset really about the rampage at this point. She's now locked in close combat still more or less and she's wtcuing it flee she lowers her canon not moving to finish the job as she looks for more active threats.

Gaius Van Baelsar (522) has posed:
Music Change: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4rgKYBKtPM (Suggest you listen to this as you read this pose)

The Wyvern that is facing off with Ryu goes charging at the draconic young man. Only trouble with it is, is that once Ryu swipes-- it goes clean through and the Wyvern soon splits in half. Though as his body falls to the ground it suddenly explodes into aetheric energy. All the dragons that have fallen start to actually become aetheric energy.

Motes of light that start to fill the air and then seeming to dissipate away. As if some force from the great beyond was calling to them to return home once more.

Though such motes of light would be recognized by those whom have faced Odin or have been on Hydaelyn before.

Kyra's own explosion sends the wyvern back and impaling it into a piece of sharp scrap metal. It cries out in pain as it hangs there for a moment. Still alive, but barely. It cries out again, even as the others start to leave. The black dragon that was Gakupo earlier swoops down and goes to free the smaller wyvern.

Before hoisting him in his talons at taking back into the air, which he swoops down low enough for the Dragon Knight to leap onto the back of. "Where is Isgebind?" The knight ask the smaller black dragon compared to the Ice Wyrm.

"Battling the false Bahamut. Should we wait for him?"

The knight cuts a glance over to the side as he can see Bahamut's wheel spinning up and the megaflare building up. "No. Without my lord here... the Father's son.. we can not compete with that.. and he used up a great deal of energy when making himself known."

The knight then looks away. "I assure you and your brethren," He then inhales deeply, "... be that Isgebind lives or dies here-- I shalt keep my promise."

"I hope you do.. for your sake.. human." Spoken by the black dragon as he watches Alexis' Pokemon triple combo their attacks together to tear apart several of the dragons who can't get away in time. Watching the few who try to even /get/ away, that almost do, still be claimed and grounded to the final burst of the attack. "For we lost enough of our own kin in this battle.. and I do not believe either higher power will smile to flavoring on the loss. For we are few.. and growing fewer still."

"That is why I plan to /keep/ my promise."

While the others escape, the Ice Wyrm tanks that mega-flare. He roars out in defiance, as it shreds away his old scales and eventually by explosive force shoves him hard into a building, through it, out the other side, and into the very street below.

His wyrm's form slides across the ground before it comes a halt. His wing torn and his body bleeding. The wyrm tries to raise up his head, before it falls to the ground. He huffs out a breath of cold air that freezes the water molecules in the air and the ground below his muzzle. "Ah--haha.. to think... I should join my king soon enough for the cause under our lord's return..."

The Ice Wyrm then closes his eyes. "..midgardsormr... our lord is coming...we shall all be.. free..." Is his last words that pass the dragon's lips before he exhales his last icy breath. His form slowly starting to glow of ice, as it then starts to just as slowly dissipate into aether.

Bahamut has posed:
Bahamut flies down to land in front of Isgebind. He does not seem happy about vanquishing his foe. He approaches the fallen wyrm, then places a taloned hand on his forehead. "You fought well. Go in peace." he says before Isgebind disappears. He stands there, watching the wisps of aether. Not unlike the pyreflies, he thinks to himself. Once the dragon is gone, he continues to stand there, staring at the spot. Then, he looks to where the others are retreating before he takes to the sky again.

"We are of different worlds, but we seem to be of the same stock!" Bahamut calls to the retreating dragons. "Tell me, why are you doing this? What was accomplished by this attack other than destruction and grief?" he bellows.

Karian Icefang has posed:
Karian watches the Mega-flare go off and is...impressed. "Like the shells of the Titans. Hrm..." He then watches the Ice Wyrm vanish into aether. "Brave...You may have been an enemy, but you deserve praise for facing your end without fear. I hope your people remember your name." He says. Then looking to Bahamut, the Wolf lord calls out to him. "It seems as if they are following orders. I told their leader, or at least the man mounted on him that he has made a new enemy. If you oppose them, then you have made a new friend." One thing about space wolves. They take an oath of friendship, even a temporary one, deadly serious.

Alexis has posed:
Alexis snorts as the remaining dragons either drop or manage to escape. "Are they suppose to disintegrate like that?", she wonders out loud and on the radio alike. But no one has any real answers to that regard. Important part is they're either leaving... or never leaving again. "Good job guys. Rest up, that's probably not the last we've seen of those asses." Flashes of red recall everyone but Stardust, who's healing ability might still be useful if they find any more injuried. "Com'n, let's go find Brushguard and make sure no one else is badly hurt."

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
Again, Kyra doesn't turn around to watch what happens that time either-mostly because she's flying through the air in this case.

The cuts, bruises, and abrasions that Kyra earned through her "flight" quickly disappear in the face of her Cura. As strange status updates ring out over the Union channel, she moves to the mouth of the alley to carefully peek out, witnessing the dragons dissolving into aetheric energy and yet others flying away. She frowns and edges her way out, looking around. Figuring the coast is clear as far as dragon harassment goes, she steps out and begins her search for wounded civillians (and Elites) in need of healing.

Ryu (636) has posed:
Ryu has struck down the dragon he was fighting. His body fatigued from the effort of what he just did, it didn't occur to him until just then that he had just accomplished something most storybook heroes only do once THREE times in a single battle: He slayed dragons. That part came to him slowly, until he started to look, and feel, a little sick, grimacing at the sight of what he'd done.

Until the dragon dissipated before his very eyes. His gold eyes follow the Aether up...

Feeling the battle come to a close properly, the scorched, sore, sliced-up young dragon put his weapons away and began searching the wreckage of the battlefield for survivors, or those who are wounded. His emotion having burned to a gentle glow, the haggard young man finds himself approaching and stabilizing nearly a dozen people over the course of his search, until he exhausted himself and slumped against the outer wall of one of the buildings, staring outward a little vacantly, like when Nael had performed that Command on him. By the end of this event, he's covered in blood, his own and that of several other beings, scorched, scratched, and so tired he can't bring himself to move.

He stares vaguely at some burning wreckage, his thoughts elsewhere.

Gakupo Kamui (686) has posed:
And then everything seems done. The dragons are fleeing, and things are calming down. Destruction and death happened this day, but hopefully the actions of the Elites here have done something to diminish the destruction and loss of life that would have happened otherwise. Turning his attention to Rory again, he nods. "A camera system might be useful," he suggests. "Or someone could connect their computer to your network to help guide your sensor probes around."

As for the wolf? Gakupo's regarding it with suspicion and a little confusion. Giant wolves? Gonna have to write some more protocols for this one. Regarding his scent, Gakupo smells like metal, plastics, silicon, and electricity. Like an android normally would. And also burnt plastic due to the bottom of his topknot.

It's unfortunate but Gakupo won't benefit from heal magic or white magery, being an artificial being. He's not really injured that badly anyway though, thankfully.

THIS time.

He was lucky, and the ones leading this assault were just testing them... poking at their strengths and weaknesses. Next time... if there is a next time... he probably won't be so lucky...

Rory White (673) has posed:
"That's worth looking into. Thank you for coming to help! I don't know what that warrior had in mind!" Rory would probably be shivering if she was a human. But she isn't. It's hard to say just how distressing that situation was because she's simply Very Bad at this emotions thing!

Showing them often takes deliberate effort for her except for the most primal of feelings...

"Are you damaged?" Well SHE knows she's looking at a robot at least!

Gakupo Kamui (686) has posed:
"Probably nothing good," Gakupo returns, looking back to Rory. "I probably couldn't have stopped him longer than a few moments if he'd attacked." His tone is flat and factual; he's not putting himself down, he's being completely honest. "I could see his stance. Even at rest there weren't that many holes that I could see to exploit."

He looks down at himself in response to Rory's question. Pause. There's a moment where he's still, looking through his HUD for damage. Then his eyes re-focus. "Just burnt hair mainly. Though I strained a servo in my knee jumping down. Overdid it a bit, looks like..." He offers a sheepish look. "At least it got his attention."

Gaius Van Baelsar (522) has posed:
Sadly Bahamut will get no reply. He can only watch as the dragons take their leave and head home, which seems to be in the direction of the Great Northern Ocean.

Is that the location of their home...?

Maybe one day, that too will be answered.

Lyria Mason has posed:
Lyria Mason lower her weapon at this point as her suit's looking pretty banged up badly baned up and shes may need some help getting Remora to revert to normal modew at this point but she's still alive and fairly well off all things considered.
