Arisu in Fluxland
Date of Scene: 08 February 2015
Location: Asian Plains
Synopsis: An unstable city appears suddenly in the Asian Plains. In the streets of this strange Shibuya, a war is waged! Reiji and Xiaomu find themselves outnumbered- but they won't be alone for much longer. The two agents of Shinra join their new allies, and find themselves thrust into a Brave New World.
Cast of Characters: Deelel, 240, 319, 513, Inga, Reiji Arisu, 707

Reiji Arisu has posed:
Unification is a funny thing. Usually, whenever it happens, it goes down without too much trouble- theres some hubbub and to-do about it, certainly. Political arrangements are made, deals and allegiances are struck, and adaptation follows thereafter. Sometimes, things are a bit more... exciting.

The city's appearance in the Asian Plains was sudden- there was nothing gradual about its arrival. First there was a tremor; like an earthquake, except that the air, too, had been made to tremble. Then, all at once, the land surrounding it was forced away, cracking at the edges of the sprawling city. A conduit connecting it to the greater network of portals throughout the multiverse appeared only moments later- but it seemed unstable, as if some force was gnawing at the very fringes of the gate. The city seemed to be no better off.

Its borders are jagged and irregular. Half of a building, bisected down the middle, leans precariously against an invisible wall at one side of the world-graft. Elevated train tracks vanish into oblivion at the boundary of the city. Its looks entirely as if someone had taken the entire thing, ripped it out of wherever it came from, and stitched it together somewhere else.

The sounds of clashing blades ring through the gateway as its borders waver and falter. In the city beyond, a battle rages.

Xiaomu (707) has posed:
The aforementioned sounds of clashing blades are seasoned further by occasional volleys of gunfire, and more-occasional yells - mostly in Japanese, some in Chinese. Anyone who happens to get a decent look through the portal, or who arrives from the 'outside' as the city is assimilated into the melange of realities that constitutes the Multiverse, would see what appears to be a blonde girl fighting alongside a dark-haired man, the girl alternating between pistols and staff - and sometimes doing something that doesn't seem to use EITHER but sends monsters flying anyway ...

Whatever's going on, it seems to be a pretty hectic fight.

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
Way up in the sky, over the city. flys a ship, looks like a freighter, the kind you find out in the void. a big metal box with engines strapped to it, and the image of a black dragon, curled around a shipping crate on its side.

Suffice it to say, the crew is having a bit of a panic, what with the city deciding to pop up right underneath it, there's some yelling, and a siren as the ship pulls up sharply, trying to get some extra distance between it and the new arrival.

As it climbs, the ships back hatch drops open, and out falls Fayt, flying thanks to a pair of blue and green wings strapped to hs back, he speaks into his radio as he looks at the city below. "Right, you guys get out of here, I'll get a look at what's going on, hopefully some others will arrive soon enough."

With that said, Fayt begins his descent towards the city below.

Finna (513) has posed:
Moments after Fayt goes skydiving from his ship a little creature goes tumbling out after him! A white, four-legged...

Oh now just when did Finna decide to hitch a ride, anyways? She wasn't supposed to be a passenger on that flight!

Regardless, she seems utterly at ease tumbling from the sky and diving past Fayt... despite the fact that she has no apparent way of STOPPING that plunge or surviving the impact.

DOWN she goes with a hearty screechy wail sound for Fayt as she picks up speed!

Using her tail like both ailerons, flaps, and rudder at once she steers her descent down at a diagonal for a skyscraper, having spotted the tussling from afar!

She slams into the building hard enough to crack the pavement... but the figure who drops from the dust cloud's not a white-furred fox, but a young woman in hunting leathers!

With both feet and one hand scraping along the steel, concrete, and glass surfaces she slows her descent just enough to spring off and begin a precarious-seeming series of downwards wall jumps back and forth across the street...

Finally landing with cat-like grace on one foot and one knee! "Heeeeeello, what's this down here...?"

And then she opens her eyes, grinning. Time to see what weirdness got Fayt all a-jitter!

Shir (240) has posed:
Shir's been sneaking around Confederate terrority for anything that might catch her interest. She hasn't found much but on her way back, there'sa city where there wasn't before. Somewhere new unified, or did someone decide to do some relocating? Regardless, there's somewhere new to explore and new thrills to be had. She notices Fayt's ship overhead and the merchant flying out of it. This should be interesting.

Deelel has posed:
Well now there's strange trouble here nd there's something comeing along on the ground it's sleek it looks like a motorcycle. However it's very sleek and the woman upon it it's hard to tell how the heck she got on to it as it looks like she's almost as part of it. The Engine gives off a strange high pitched whine as her craft closres. She's not sure just what the deal is yety but she's comming in at high speed and doesn't seem to have a care for any of the wreckage or anything else in her way. She evades several things in her way and even ramps the craft off somerhing, as this happens the craft becomes transparent and like a wireframe. This doesn't last long as even that vanishes and then there'ds a woman in mostly form fitting clothing holding a batcon and dropping into the ground as she comes up. Her face is hidden by an black hlemet which seems to have no sign of how one got it on.

"Greetings Organics"

Her voice sounds warped but it's hard to tell more than she's just female.

Reiji Arisu has posed:
The streets are in chaos. As if in answer to Finna's question, a strange creature shoots past her head, its body long and simultaneously solid and ethereal. Two scythes sweep back under its head, dangling in the perpetual windstorm raging around it. Fortunately, it seems to have other things to deal with than to try and remove her head.

If she looks that way quickly enough, she'd notice a slug of metal buried in the wind-weasel's chin.

More of the creatures swarm over towards the enormous crossroads at the center of this part of the city. Anyone familiar at all with Tokyo would immediately recognize this place as the Shibuya Crossing... Only the Shibuya Crossing is not usually home to a hive of monsters. Larger figures dart about the melee: crow-like humanoids, wielding leaf-like fans in one hand. They seem to be keeping their distance for now, only stirring up large gusts of wind whenever they get a clear shot. Fayt's descent might get a bit rocky as he approaches the city streets as he encounters the tremendous crosswinds filling the area.

At the center of the supernatural hurricane, a pair of warriors strike into the swarm. The larger of the two, a man with dark hair disturbed by a streak of stark white on the left side of his head, turns his a still-smoking handcannon on another nearby Kamaitachi. His jacket is torn across its front where one of their scythes raked over his chest, but he continues on, no worse for wear.

More wanderers file in. Flames divide another weasel as, finally, the larger of the two fighters takes notice. "Damnit, civilians?" He grunts, parrying an incoming weasel. "Hey," he yells at the others as Deelel rides straight in. Reiji misses seeing her motorcycle /vanish into thin air/ only because he's kind of got his hands full right now. "Clear out of here! This ain't exactly a safe place, if you haven't noticed!"

His eyes flicker towards Finna in the space between sword-strokes- and his head snaps back as he double takes, "The Hell? A kitsune? Xiaomu, she's not one of ours, is she?"

Xiaomu (707) has posed:
"Already saw her, and you KNOW not all foxes are 'kitsune,' Reiji!" answers the blonde-haired girl as she shoots two charging Kamaitachi in the faces - killing one, and throwing the second one off-stride long enough for her to grab her staff and flip the sickle-weasel away. If Reiji doesn't have a chance to shoot it, at least it's -

Landing in the face of a tengu just as it unleashes a windblast. At least this throws the monster's aim off, and Xiaomu glances towards the new arrivals, her reddish-brown gaze lingering on Finna for a split second longer than the others. "Crap, can you even *get* out safely? Where'd you guys come from, anyway - and no, Reiji, she's nobody I've met!"

Her pistols clatter to the ground as Xiaomu brings her staff up again, the rings on its head jingling with the abrupt movement. She whacks a couple more weasels upside their heads, reaches into her vest for a moment, and tosses a grenade into a cluster of Kamaitachi. The ensuing explosion seems far more fiery than you'd expect of a normal grenade. "Still listening!" she adds, just in case anyone thought the ebb and flow of a furious battle had distracted her ENTIRELY from the newcomers.

Inga has posed:
How is it even possibly to get as lost as she has? Just a little exploring, she'd thought, perhaps venture out of comfortable territory just a little bit then go back along familiar paths to one of few locations in the multiverse she knows well.

Hours later, there's a viking witch in the middle of a raging battle, unable to hear herself think over the clash of blades and battle cries of warriors. There she is, a slightly bent woman with a long white braid leaning on a staff carved with runes in a blue dress and grey cloak, her eyes wide as she tries to figure out what is happening here and how she might either help or escape.

"Odin's bones...this is madness," she grumbles, looking toward the warriors who are holding off against the strange creatures. Well, alright. One of the warriors yells about civilians needing to clear out. In a snap decision she decides theirs is probably the side that she should aid. The woman reaches for her belt and draws a knife--by no means a weapon of battle. Seems she's only using it to stab herself, anyway. The blade draws a line down her arm, blood quickly gushing from the self-inflicted wound....

And suddenly, the warrior that had cried out will find himself sprayed with blood--more blood, likely--. Blood that holds a subtle crimson shimmer....and heals him.

As if the day wasn't strange enough!

Shir (240) has posed:
"Safe? Safe is boring." Shir seems rather nonchalant about the danger. She's faced way worse after all. "Hey Fayt, Deelel, other people I don't know." The thief's not familiar with everyone here. "Looks like the introductions might have to wait."

She does look a bit surprise as Inga cuts herself with the knife, "Man, I'm glad I don't have to do that." Her attention then turns towards the tengu, "Nice breeze you got going there, but I can do better." The thief raises a hand in the air and suddenly the wind's blowing in the other direction against them.

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
Fayt forwns as he starts to see whats' going on below, "What the-eeeeeee!"

Unfortunatly, not being much of a flier, Fayt hadn't accounted for the wind, as the scrawny little mage gets tossed end over end by the wind. Frantically, he fights against it, wings practically flailing as he slams back first into the side of a building.

Now upside down, Fayt frowns as he grabs hold of his staff, "Right then.." holding out his staff, Fayt looks at his sorroundings, Hmm... those tengu things seem to be making a lot of wind, Maybe taking some of them out will help fix his current problem He takes aim at the nearest one. "Force bolt."

A bolt of of energy flies from fayt's staff towards the Tengu, hopefully if that doesn't take it out, it can at least make it stop with all the wind.

That said, Fayt starts to slowly slide down the side of the building...

Finna (513) has posed:
White, foxy ears twitch once or twice. Hearing Reiji and Xiaomu over the racket caused by all the monsters! A gale-force wind sends her leather clothing rippling in the few places where there's enough fabric for it to move. Her hair's definitely being tugged on hard! "Ah... what kind of welcoming party's this?! Fine, if this is what the locals do for greetings!" Growling a bit to herself, Finna reaches behind her back and pulls out... a BOW AND SEVERAL ARROWS. Huh. Clutching about a half-dozen arrows in one hand, she leaps skyward in a long arc, shifting upside-down and spinning around through the motion. And then...

Arrows rain down on the creatures, cutting unexpectedly well through the wind. Sure, it throws them off course from striking vitals, but... well, most are finding paths through the wind without being TOO off-course...

Still, she clucks her tongue and stuffs the bow away before landing with her eyes on the sky. Whereupon she immediately grins awkwardly. "Ah, that guy..."

"Lovely party you're having here! I'll be riiiiiight back." She calls out to the Shinra operatives... and immediately... vaults for Fayt's building.

The moment her feet hit the side she's running STRAIGHT UP IT. Her goal?

Scoop up Fayt and then vault over into an alley on the opposite side of the street to give him some cover! "What're you doing up here bein' a target?!"

Deelel has posed:
Things are just going nuts, Deelel can see that now just how crazy are things are getting. She moves to pull something off her back it's a ring or a disc off her back and its edge hums to life.

"It's quite basic that it's not safe and that's why we're here!"

She's turning her attnetion to the fight now and looks like she's trying to find a way to get into the mix.

"we're here to make sure people don't ... get caught up in this madness."

She gives a nods to Shir and takes note of Inga as well. The woman seems to be confident and used to this sort of thing from the posture she's taken. That's when she launches the disc at the monster and leaps with inhuman grace flipping in the air to catch the weapon upon it's return.

Reiji Arisu has posed:
"Proper classification can wait until after we clean up this mess," Reiji replies. A kamaitachi decides to get smart and try to take advantage of what seems to be a momentary lapse in his concentration. A shotgun discharges in its skull a split second before it gets close enough to swing its scythes. The bolts carry on into another of the weasels, tearing its body to shreds. In moments, they dissolve into harmless eddies of air.

A quick glance informs him that, not only have the 'civilians' /not/ cleared out, but they've actually increased in number. And they seem to be... Fighting the swarm? "What-- I thought I said to pull back! This place is da- ghh!" A spray of blood covers Reiji's face and chest! None of it is his own. Miraculously, his wound immediately begins to close. Fortunately, he wears mostly black and red, but he's going to be needing a new undershirt. "...Blood Magic?" he mutters, a smaller blade flickering to his hands, and then into a nearby current of cutting wind. The gale breaks as a blast of lightning smashes into it, and the blade carries into another wind-weasel, scattering it instananeously, "You're no civilians. And it doesn't seem like you're with Ouma."

That much is obvious. The hurricane winds falter as Shir turns her magic against the storm. Several of the Tengu take notice immediately and begin fanning furiously to counteract her powers. One of them looses a pained squack as Fayt's force-bolt smashes into its side and sends it flying through a glass display window and into a particularly high-class boutique. It's still moving, though some of its fellows are not so lucky.

Finna's arrows tear through the wind, falling down hard into several Kamaitachi, disintigrating a couple and injuring two more. The remaining bolts bite deep into one of the tengu, causing it to stumble and stagger. It's finished off quickly by Deelel's disk, falling into a motionless heap on the ground.

The remaining tengu aren't nearly enough to hold off Shir's magic, and they find themselves now on the recieving end of a wind-storm. One of them sails off into a building. Another is blown into a tree. Kamaitachi scatter as their favorable winds fail, sizably decreasing their numbers.

"Tch, fine. We'll sort it out later!" Reiji yells over the carnage. His wakizashi is slid back into its sheath and his shotgun is snapped into its holster- both of which seem to be mounted to what can only be described as a portable weapon rack. He twists, drawing the longer, fiery blade again and driving it deep into a Tengu's side- he follows up quickly by caving its head in with his weapon rack. "Help us clear these bastards out. We'll talk then!"

Like he needs to tell them.

With the wind abating, Finna has relatively calm skies to fly through as she goes to retrieve Fayt. Something seems... off, though. As the monstrous horde thins and the wind disperses, those with keener noses might be able to detect a dangerous, noxious stench in the air. It wasn't noticable at first- not with the hurricane-force winds, but now...

Now, they can tell, something definitely stinks.

Inga has posed:
Indeed, blood magic. Inga nods to the man in understanding. A battle like this isn't something she would willingly enter...but then, she has magic she did not have before, nevermind the...other thing. May as well make herself useful. "I shall do what I can!" she answers, then raises her staff, beginning to gather her anima in a surge of power the seems to make the very air tingle with excitement. The runes of her staff light up a glowing blue-white before she releases the charge, bringing down a bolt of lightning onto some of the attacking creatures with a deafening boom and blinding flash of light.

They're not too concerned about property damage...right?

Shir (240) has posed:
"What is that smell, some kind of gas?" Shir's doing her best to keep the tengu at bay as she says that. She doesn't have the best sense of smell but she can faintly pick up something, "You guys aren't the middle of a biological war or something are you?" It seems like she might have something else to fan out of the city.

"Is Ouma who sent these guys?" She's not familiar with the place after all, but it would explain why it's being attacked. "And yeah I guess it would be better to explain things in more detail later." They're kind of in the middle of a fight right now.

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
Fayt blinks as he sees Finna running up towards him. "Um... what are you-ACK!"

Fayt lets out a surprised yelp as he's scooped up by Finna. The tiny mage wobbling as he's set down in the alley. "Guh. T-thank you..." Shaking his head clear, Fayt marches out of the alley way, as he walks, his wings vanish in a blur of motion, to be replaced by a blue and green scarf. "Right, no more wind problems." glancing around, he takes aim at the nearest group of enemies. "Fireball."

This time, a large ball of flame flies from Fayts staff, hitting the ground near Fayt's target with a large, loud explosion.

Xiaomu (707) has posed:
"Glad for the help, that's for sure!" Xiaomu chimes in; she's actually ducked behind Reiji for a moment, scooping up her handguns en route, and is slapping new magazines into each as she speaks. Her ears perk up in the next instant, though -

Yes, LITERALLY perking her ears, apparently the shorter brown-tipped bundles of 'hair' on either side of her head - not to be confused with the five longer and fuller ones - are actually ears of some kind. "Oh, what the - Reiji, MORE incoming!!" She shoves her pistols into her jacket/vest (which must be hiding holsters, since the guns don't fall out) and grabs her staff again; somehow it stays upright with its butt jabbed into the pavement.

When the Multiversal folks arrived, Reiji and Xiaomu were in a T-shaped intersection, with the monsters coming from one particular direction. Now, a wave of even more kamaitachi and tengu comes tearing down the side street. Another tengu tries to charge Xiaomu from her blind side -

"XIAOMU STUNNER!"

- only to get grabbed around its neck and flipped forward over her shoulder, slamming so hard into the pavement that something cracks audibly with the impact. The girl isn't done with it yet, though; she drives the butt of her staff into the downed tengu's chest hard enough to push her feet off the ground, and with a further cry of "XIAOMU SURFING!!" ... a massive block of ice forms around the Tengu and she sends it flying down the street, bowling through the new horde of kamaitachi and scattering their charge quite effectively.

If only the good guys' problems ended there. Two more figures come barreling down the 'alley' created by the frozen tengu; while humanoid in shape, one has the head of a bull, his companion bearing the head of a horse.

"MOOOOOOOOOOOOOve out of our way, our mistress demands this place be secure!!" bellows the bull-headed figure.

Finna (513) has posed:
"Ewwwwww...." Finna's got a sharp nose, so the rolling stench seeping about is not exactly high on her list of things to savor. "Weird place you decided to drop in on. Not a soul in sight except those two in the jackets! Black and red."

And speaking of them she peeks out around the corner just in time to see them laying down one heck of a colorful and stylish beatdown on the monsters.

Hunkering down onto all fours, Finna goes scurrying out into the streets. Ordinary people shouldn't be able to run like that, but she moves much like a beast to bolt around the corner before rising up in the effort of tracking the stench and-- "WHOAH!"

To brake she grabs a nearby streetlight and goes spinning around several times.

Hanging on by squeezing the pole between her legs, she leans out into the street and puts her attention on the approaching brutes....frrrrrrooooowning.

"That's all well and good, but c'mon... how often do you guys bathe? Eugh."

Deelel has posed:
Deelel is now making some progress againxt hte monsters but there's still quite a few leff for the moment and she now startt moving using a lot of the wreckage toe get about, she's like some sort ogf parkour freak with how she's moving, she's also poving to be very good with the disc as she throws it agian and again a she attemps to keep the enemy engaged.

"Inga can you use your powers to shield them?!"

The Basic calls out she knows Inga's very good with wards and the like, perhaps she has something?

"Oranics are always falling apart Finna it's one of your unfonrate flaws but it's something that can't be held against you!"

Reiji Arisu has posed:
"Yeah, that's right," Reiji grunts as he draws his wakizashi once more. In the span of time between when he drops his weapon rack and when it clatters to the ground, his twin blades scythe through one tengu and a trio of kamaitachi, scattering them to the breeze. "Though I don't think we've got a biohazard going, but I wouldn't put it pass Ouma-- wait, smell?"

Reiji's brow furrows as he turns to glare down the road. "Tch," he growls, sheathing his shorter blade and hefting his rack again, "Damnit, /those/ two!"

Fayt's fireball smashes into the remaining monsters, and its shockwave ignites several of the incoming monsters as well- but they are many. Even Deelel's expert disk-tossing isn't enough to slow their advance, though it does disintigrate several kamaitachi. More wind-weasels sweep in to fill the gaps in their numbers, and a half-dozen tengu begin once more stirring up the air. But they're not the real threat, and Xiaomu demolishes several of them outright.

No, it's the two eight-foot-tall creatures charging in alongside their battalion of lesser-monsters that Reiji seems to be concerned about.

"Like we tell the Mistress, it's not a matter of hygiene, we've always smelled this way," the smaller of the two huffs, clouds of noxious green vapor venting from between tombstone teeth. He smacks the shaft of a spiked mace into his palm before charging in! "It's a CONDITION," he roars, bringing the massive weapon's head smashing down at Finna and her lamp-post. The other monsters swarm in, kamaitachi scything down at Deelel and Fayt, while several of the tengu break off and begin launching miniature tornados of cutting wind at Shir and Inga.

Flashing steel hews two of the new wind-weasels apart as Reiji rushes in to engage, arcs of flame trailing in his wake. "Mistress?" He growls, bisecting another kamaitachi, "What the hell do you bastards have planned this time!?"

"Hmph! That's our business, not yours," Dokumezu answers as keeps up his assault, "Shinra won't stop us this time!"

Inga has posed:
Inga wrinkles her nose as everyone begins to comment on a smell. Yes, there it is. "Ugh," she comments, though honestly its nothing compared to low tide and decaying fish men. Plus zombies. Honestly, that hard to beat. Still, she'd rather like to tie a handkerchief over her nose.

Inga looks with wide eyes as too large monsters appear. Cow-like things. Ah, the multiverse. Always new oddities, most of them trying to kill her.

Speaking of oddities trying to kill her, Inga turns to look toward the tengu as tornados of sharp wind come racing toward her. Sharp indeed, as the wind seems to actually slice into the fabric of her dress and into her skin beneath. The witch hisses as she's tossed into the air, landing a good many feet away and on her back.

It's a wonder that she manages to pull herself to her feet again, examining the tatters of her dress with steadily growing anger. "This...is one of my good dresses," she growls, taking up her knife again. The wound she'd opened in her arm is beginning to heal, but there are plenty more cuts now for her to work with. The knife is flicked outward, droplets of red spraying forward toward one of the tengu that attacked her--but this blood does /not/ make you feel better.

This blood appears to be acid.

Shir (240) has posed:
"Poisonous ox-men, you know that wouldn't be too out of place back home." Shir notes the arrival of the two demons. "You know they have industrial strength mouthwash in the Multiverse." She can't help but to suggest. Of course they're not her problem at the moment. The tengu don't seem to do much but annoying her, they're pretty much in a stalemate at the moment. "You know we could hurl wind at each other all day, but I have other plans."

The thief decides to change tactics and increases the force of gravity beneath the tengu. She figures she might disable take out their biggest advantage and try to ground them.

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
There's a yelp as Fayt whips his staff up to block the Kamaitachi. "GAH! back off already! Force bolt!" another energy bolt fires form Fayts staff... in the compeatly wrong direction. blocking Means Fayt can't aim, so there's no way he could score a hit.

Or could he? As the bolt flies away, Fayt mutters a single word. "Turn." The force bolt suddenly hooks around in the air, doubling back on itself as it aims ot hit hte Kamaitachi upside the head.

At the same time, something weird happens, There's a weird, eletric buzzing sound, as multi-colored electricty starts to dance around Fayt's head, not a lot, just enough to be noticeable if anyone looks at him.

Finna (513) has posed:
"A-ack!" Finna srambles backward just enough to slither and swing around the post. The club easily shatters the construction, but by then she uses the momentum to swing herself Dokumezu's way and grab-hold in a sort of horizontal piggy-back!

"Touchy touchy! Who taught you to treat girls this way, big guy? That thing could put someone's eye out!"

Of course she's not just harmlessly hanging on. Whether what she's doing is classifiable as HARMFUL though, well...

Her tail snakes out briefly here and there at high speed to brush at Dokumezu's nose in what MIGHT be an accident (haha, yeah right) but is carefully calculated to try and invoke a horrible fit of sneezing!

Xiaomu (707) has posed:
"Don't bet the farm on it, Horsehead!" Xiaomu snaps at Dokumezu, her guns all a-thunder again as she dispenses bullets in his general direction - and at a bunch of the other monsters who are closing in. The weasels continue to be a minor problem at best, even en masse; the Tengu keep stirring up trouble and wind (not necessarily in that order), and one of them happens to send his airblast through a cloud of stench wafting from Dokugozu's muzzle ...

A cloud which is driven straight towards Shir as a result, although her gravity spell DOES ground the tengu rather effectively in the next second. Dokugozu, on the other hand, is hardly hindered by this spell and just keeps on charging and bellowing, heading for Inga and trying to knock her into a nearby storefront.

Deelel has posed:
Deelel is busy still going after the monsters with her disc but there's still more of them comming. She pay no mind ot the monsters comment abotu the smell s well? She's got something trying to sycth her down like wheat. She will have none o thei as she contiunes to move quiclly as she's able to. Hopefully Ing did hear her, wait is Inga bleeding acid? What the?! No best to not think about it she's still bouncing about lobbing her disc over and over, she half wonders if it's time to change tactics at this point.

"Seriously you'll neer get dates acting like this!"

SShe yell and the fight contiunes.

Shir (240) has posed:
Shir coughs a bit at the poison cloud is aimed at her, her poison resistance isn't as good as it used to be. "Like I said...mouthwash..." She's going to need a nice long bath after all this. She's distracted by the breath which interfere with her gravity technique, "Stop directing that over here..." The wind around her picks up against as she tries to direct the stench back at the tengu. She's not above using enemy's attacks against them especially when they're this foul-smelling.

Reiji Arisu has posed:
Fayt's force bolt goes flying off into a completely different direction. The kamaitachi pause to stare after it, then turn to each other- one seems to shrug! And they resume their attacks in earnest, but perhaps they should have kept a closer watch. One wind-weasel buckles as the bolt swerves back around and smashes into its side. It collides with its neighbor, who smashes into a third, before the trio are flung bodily into one of the nearby skyscrapers. Squeaks of outrage rise amidst the remaining weasels as they throw themselves into avenging their fallen brethren, but none of them seem to notice the crown of crackling electricity building around Fayt's head!

Some of the Tengu pinned by Shir's gravitational magic are struck by Inga's acid-blood and begin screeching in pain as it eats away at their bodies! Clearly, they weren't expecting their opponents to /bleed acid/ but honestly, who does?

The remaining Kamaitachi swarm back around, sweeping down at Deelel, their scythes seeking flesh and blood! Each one may be fragile, but they've got numbers that her disk alone might not be enough to protect her from!

Dokumezu, meanwhile, is being... taunted. "Grah! There's only one fox for me, you pretender-- what are you doing!?" Fox-tails tickle at his nose, the horse-headed creature's lips pull back as his muzzle scrunches up-- "Wh- no, stah-aahh--"

*AAAAAAAAACCHOOOOO!*

Suddenly, Finna's poor tails are subject to some very unfortunate supernatural poison. A massive cloud of potent, purple-toxins are blasted into the air as Dokumezu sneezes. Xiaomu's bullets tear through the cloud even as it rushes down the street to envelop her-- and slam into Dokumezu's chest. "Augh! Get off!" He yells, staggering back, blood running down his chest. He's still standing, though, as he reaches over his shoulders to try and throw Lunar off her perch! "Damn vixens! I already said there's only one for me!"

But... where is Reiji?

Answer: somewhere Dokugozu might not appreciate.

"Your opponent is up here!" The warrior in red roars, charging- and holding his breath- through the ox's poisonous vapors. He brings his blazing katana down at the monster's shoulder, then twists and rakes it up over his chest! "I'll ask again," he says, sheathing his sword and dropping into a defensive stance, "What the hell are you bastards up to this time?"

Inga has posed:
Inga turns as Dokugozu comes charging toward her, swallowing hard. She won't get out of the way in time. Quick and nimble she is not. So, in reaction, she raises her staff again and lets out a blast of flame with a bit of explosive power that might at least slow him down...

All the same, he slams into her and tosses her through that shop window.

At least she set him on fire? She hopes.

Reiji seems to be arriving to be a distraction while Inga waits for some of her bones to un-break themselves.

Deelel has posed:
They will not be getting flesh and blood out of Deelel she's not made of either, still it would be bad for her all the same. She takes a moment shifts and tosses a puck like item at one.

"CATCH!"

The divce has a lit up bar that's getting smaller and smaller and when it vanishes the thing will explode in a powerful stun blast of energy.

DEelel on the othe rhand keeps moving hopefully the small fry can be handled and she can go after the big dogs to to speak.

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
Fayt lets out a small sigh, as the kamaitachi are driven off, this is follwoed by a pained yelp as his arm gets sliced open. Oh good, there's a lot more of them.

Fayt is unfortunatly not the best of melee fighters, so while he can block some of it? Well.. yeah. Fayt's getting carved up. "Force bolt."

Once again, Fayt ends up blind firing a spell, tough he's quick to fix that. "Split. Turn." The bolt suddenly splits into several, as the small swarm of bolts hooks around to charge through the group attacking him.

Each command is also met with another buzz, and the electricy around his head getting a tad more violent, weird.

Finna (513) has posed:
"Bleeeargh..." Finna, sensing what's gonna happen after remembering the weird cloud before... is on the move. She's beginning to move as Dokumezu grabs her, but not in time to save her lone tail from the WEIRDEST stainy gunk ever. Or be thrown out to the side (although she lands on her feet.) When the tailfur starts SIZZLING she starts wagging it fiercely to clean it off. "Aghk-- no WONDER these guys stink!"

IT HURTS, but it's not an injury she can't deal with. Oh sure, she can tank that... it's a painful annoyance, but worse...

    "You... are.... in.... TROUBLE!!!"

Growling fiercely, Finna takes a flying leap up, over, and DOWN towards Dokumezu. But by the time she's nearing the ground... she's CHANGED.

White fur now covers ALL of her body, which has grown considerably in height and girth. While not exactly a hulking monster she's more muscular than before - and is now best described as a seven foot tall anthropomorphic fox. "PAIN TIME!"

Instead of go for anything really IMPORTANT like vitals however, she jabs BOTH sets of claws - both gleaming with silvery light - straight for Dokumezu's buttocks.

Xiaomu (707) has posed:
While the DokuBros are decidedly poisonous in person, the tengu are NOT so fortunate - and those bird-demons who get beakfuls of the redirected clouds wind up choking and hacking, collapsing in rapid succession. Those who don't get hit by the poison are likely subjected to the wrath of Deelel's deadly neon frisbee of death, disintegrating from the impacts. That only leaves a few straggling tengu - and at least one of them gets force-bolt-spammed by Fayt, thinning the mob out even FURTHER.

As for Dokugozu, he bellows loudly as Reiji drops on top of him right after Inga's magic lights him on fire. The ox-headed monster flails helplessly for a moment, then attempts to seize Reiji and throw him straight at Inga.

Xiaomu seems to have caught the edge of somebody's poison by now, looking rather pale and somewhat ill; she slaps new clips into her handguns and unloads them at Dokumezu without any further words of warning.

Shir (240) has posed:
Shir watches Finna transform and is a bit surprised, "Note to self, don't piss her off." Having used a lot of her mental energy already, the thief draws her knives and jump upwards at the tengu. Seeing how the demons are already well-covered she might as well finish them off. Plus, they won't likely hit her that hard in direct combat. She's certainly graceful but when she does get hit it hurts.

Reiji Arisu has posed:
Perhaps someone should have briefed the wind-weasels that their opponents would have area-of-effect capabilities. Unfortunately, Ouma wasn't really thinking they'd have to deal with extraversal heroes today. Deelel's stun-bomb smashes into the swarm and explodes, sending dozens of them reeling. Fayt's energy bolts smash into them while they're reeling, outright disintigrating many of them, and smashing others into the scenery. Their numbers are dwindling, but there are still enough of them to pose a threat. They can't exactly swarm anymore, though- but their rudimentary animal-intelligences are enough to pick a target.

In this case, Fayt. Because they smell blood, and know that there is so much more in that sack of meat.

Dokumezu howls in pain as more of Xiaomu's shots pound into him. It's a credit to his species (and possibly THE POWER OF LOVE!!) that he doesn't go down after so many wounds. That might change shortly, however. He staggers back, glancing around for that damn fox so he can throw her at that other damn fox, only to notice the shadow growing on the ground underneath him.

Dokumezu looks up and... frowns. "Oh," he says, "Wait, hold on, we can negoti--"

And then Finna proves that there is only one monster on this battlefield, and it's her. She's the monster. Her claws jab into the horse-man's ass, producing an audibly painful *squelch* as she tears into his flesh. Dokumezu sheds a single tear, before he collapses to the ground and begins to dissolve into more of those toxic fumes.

His brother seems to be faring better. This is surprising because he's kind of /on fire,/ but the massive ox-man manages to snatch Reiji off the ground. "Ghh--" the warrior grunts as the monster tightens his grip. A rib pops. This could be bad...

Except that there are two guns in his hands. "Gold," he coughs, levelling the two at the ox's burning face split seconds before he's hurled, "Hollywood--"

"FIRE!" Enormous slugs of anti-spirit munitions and rapidly expanding clouds of exhanted shrapnel scream out from his guns as he depresses their triggers, firing over and over and over again to hopefully put the thing /down/ before he's thrown.

Unfortunately, if he /is/ thrown, it could be somewhat... bad for Inga.

Inga has posed:
Something most certainly broke when she landed. She'd landed right on her arm when she'd been hurled through the shop window. It was blindingly painful at first, but as her regenerative healing kicks it the pain gradually begins to fade. Inga is by no means expecting to have a man thrown at her--though really, she ought to have. Ox-man seems to like human projectiles.

Still, she's getting to her feet again, gritting her teeth as she thinks what she can do. Lightning or fire would catch the warrior, as would the acid blood. Does she have nothing focused she can do!? Spears? That might work. Or she could heal the man, if he needs it.

Grunting, she reaches to open another wound in her arm, blood pours but does not drip to the ground as she flicks her knife outward, hurling another invigorating healing spell toward Reiji as he grapples with the ox creature. A shimmering red barrier would surround him, healing injuries and helping to prevent some that are incoming.

Wait, what is Ox man doing? Is he trying to throw him at her!?

Gulp! Inga tries to limp away as quickly as possible!

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
    Oh crap... MORE weasels

Even if they're not swarming, Fayt's geting ripped up pretty badly as the attacks keep coming, Gritting his teeth as he blocks what he can with his staff, he fires off another shot. "Force bolt. Split. Turn." with the commands flying fast, Fayt's staff fires off a bolt that near-instantly breaks into a wild spray of the little things, curving and arcing around Fayt to drive his attacks back.

And once again, the extra commadns are met with that buzzing, and the electricy getting worse. Fayt's head is hosting quite the light show now, some of which is now traveling down over his arm, into a wristband he's wearing, as the surge protecter does what it can to keep this mess under control.

Finna (513) has posed:
"E-eugh?" MOre of that stink gets Finna pulling away quickly. She backflips a few times in fact, landing on a bench in a crouch. "... No way those few blows killed the guy..." Unless...

She takes a goood look at the somewhat distant Xiaomu, but nothing's standing out as likely to have killed Dokumezu. "Some kinda trick, I guess..."

But with him gone, she again prioritizes Fayt. Finna just starts charging horizontally along the nearest building as if it were ground, rounds the T-bend again and... "Huuuuiiiiiiyaaaoooooowwwww!!"

... what kind of battlecry is THAT?!

... odd it might be, but she still comes flying into the path of some of the weasels at lightning speed, crosses claws with the scythes...

Yeah, some of 'em are gonna be ripped up before they reach Fayt if all goes well!

Deelel has posed:
DEelal stun bombs the swarm pretty well she hopefully has put them of thei game. However she notice tha t Fayt is sitll in a goo ddeal of trouble it seme She keep bounving about and now shift to bounce her disc off some of the enemies and hopefully into the back side of Dokumezu! As she keeps on moving. She sees Inga is self reparing so she should be fine in a bit, it's not her being cold. It's her knowing Inga will get back up and she can focus elsewhere on people who can't so easily.

"Hey big guy How much of a null unit are you!?"

Xiaomu (707) has posed:
With a bellowing roar, Dokugozu winds up to fling Reiji like he's the shot and Ox-Head is competing in the Decathlon - and then Reiji reclassifies it as the BIcathlon, starting to empty his guns into Dokugozu. The bullish figure staggers, still roaring, still burning even - and additional rounds and shells from Reiji's weapons force him to his knees. He's still clutching at Reiji, though; still even trying to wind up and sling him, no matter where ...

The ox-headed monster twists around, wobbling, to look at Deelel when she calls out that - well, it's PROBABLY an insult - and then he no longer has an intact brain to mull such abstract questions over: the last blast from Reiji's shotgun sets his head to disintegrating into a toxic cloud much like the one Dokumezu evaporated into. Reiji is released as the youkai's arms disintegrate the same way ... hopefully Reiji can get out of the cloud before he has to inhale again.

Reiji Arisu has posed:
Unfortunately for the last few remaining wind-weasels, they no longer have the kind of numbers or support they'd otherwise need to really be effective. Fayt's bolts smash into several of the kamaitachi, dispersing their essence into eddies of harmless vapor. The scant few that remain shriek furiously and dive to try and finish the mage off-- before being interrupted by a beast many times more dangerous than themselves.

The Lunar proves what it means to be one of the Chosen of the Silver Maiden. Her teeth and claws rip into the last few kamaitachi, shredding them into their component vapors. The very last of their number squeaks mournfully as his substance comes undone, its scythes vanishing last into a thin contrail of scattering fog.

Blood magic twists around Reiji's body as his guns relieve Dokugozu of his skull. His wounds begin to close, and his face twists into a somewhat uncomfortable grimace as he feels several of his ribs *pop* back into place, the bone knitting back together at the fractures.

As Dokugozu dissolves, Reiji falls down into the gathering toxic haze. He whispers a curse, raising an arm to shield his face, only for Inga's barrier spell to manifest fully, keeping the poisonous fumes at bay long enough for him to retrieve his weapon rack and retreat out of the cloud.

At last, everything seems to go still. Bits of slaughtered tengu litter the ground here and there, and the shattered storefronts and cracked concrete are all that's left of the monsters who fought here. Reiji sighs, slipping his pistol back into its holster, and setting his shotgun back onto its place on his weapon rack. "Alright," he says into the now-tranquil city, "All of you, fall in. Everyone make it through in one piece?"

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
Fayt breaths heavily, leaning on his staff as the fighting dies down. he got more than a tad roughed up, and his head is putting on quite hte light show, but he'll be ok. giving a small nod to Finna, the tiny mage trudges over to where Reiji and Xiaomu are, and waves weakly with one hand. "Hello... you guys alright?"

Shir (240) has posed:
"Man, this has been rather messy." Shir comments on the fight, she's been busy cleaning herself up after the tengu were taken care of. "Though I'm guessing the demon guys aren't dead?" They didn't seem to be the type that go down easily. "Yeah, my lungs kind of hate me right now though. So where exactly are we?"

Inga has posed:
Inga is glad to see the Ox Man go down, and gladder still to see that her barrier prevented what is surely poison or some horrible cloud of disease from infecting the warrior.

Suddenly everything is quiet. With a wince, Inga limps toward Reiji as he calls to see if everyone is alright. Despite wounds (many self inflicted) Inga appears to be in alright shape. The cut she'd just opened on her arm is already healing. "If anyone is wounded I can be of assistance," she informs Reiji, leaning on her staff.

Inga looks to Shir. "Have you been poisoned by the...what were those things, anyway?" she asks.

Xiaomu (707) has posed:
"There's demons and there's demons," Xiaomu says as she looks around, fox-ears flicking a bit to indicate that she's listening as well as looking. "And yeah, Dokugozu and Dokumezu have this thing about not staying dead." She shrugs, "Part of it is that they're youkai, but I figure it's mostly that they're contracted to that 'mistress' they mentioned ..."

Just speaking that word in this context seems to mark a serious change in her tone - and in her face as well, a dark and terrible scowl crossing her face before she wrangles it back off her expression, replacing it with a professional smile. "Anyway, thank you all for your help. I'm Xiaomu, this is Reiji, fighting monsters like that is kind of our job. Who *are* you all, and how'd you wind up here?" She takes a moment to check her pistols, reaching for fresh magazines - and realizing she doesn't HAVE any more fresh magazines.

Deelel has posed:
Deelel sees things re winding down at this point she pauses for a moment and her helemt vanishes in aburst of light almot seeming to melt away. The woman's face under it seem maybe to be af Asian featured and osmething else she has short blueish black hair and a grin on her face which hints at trouble. Not the sort that leads to violence though. She looks to the strange pair for a moment and tries to not think about the carnage about them she tilts her head for a moment.

"Greetings, I'm Deelel, and you just fallen into hte Multiverse."

She looks to the fox woman for a moment making note of aht she's sid.

"So Youkai hummm? I'm a program by the way. As for how I got here that's a very long story best shared over drinks."

Finna (513) has posed:
By the time Finna's also trudged back into line with the others she's taken human form again, and is... behind Fayt...

Poking and swiping at the lights much like a cat after a laser pointer. When they prove insubstantial though she's VERY disappointed and huffs lightly. Then actually finishes stepping forward, hand on her hip. "Finna... Snowdancer." of course by now, her Tell's easily visible. The wagging tail and alert ears glitter silver, and the mark of the Moon's joined the show - a crescent emblem of silvery-white shimmering upon her forehead.

"Nice hair!" She's pointing at Xiaomu, grinning up a storm. "And moves. Wsn't a bad workout. .... No audience though. What HAPPNED here?"

Inga has posed:
Inga frowns gently, shaking her head. Demons? Yokai? Mistress? Well, she can only begin to guess. At least she hadn't died. That'd have been embarrassing.

Inga bows to the two warriors, then the others she's not met. "I am Inga Freyasdottir, wisewoman of Uppsala--ah, an ally of the Union," she introduces herself. "I was lead here by my gods," she adds. Sounds much better than 'I got lost'. Besides, it may just be true in an indirect way.

Reiji Arisu has posed:
Reiji's face slips into a cold frown as Xiaomu brings up this 'mistress' character. Dread squeezes the pit of his stomach like a vice, but the emotions don't reach his face. Instead, he only confirms what Xiaomu is saying, "Like she said, they're youkai. Specifically, some kind of strange variant of Ox-Head and Horse-Face, but those two sure aren't guarding any netherworlds."

They've got different masters, he supposes.

"It's a pleasure," he nods as Xiaomu introduces the both of them. "As to what happened--" he looks to Finna, pausing only briefly to glance at her twitching ears. Foxes. "I'm not sure. Xiaomu and I got called down to investigate a Quake, and we were ambushed by those goons. Then you all showed up."

He looks to Deelel and quirks a brow, but what Inga says seems to have caught his attention. "Union? And here I thought we were the only Ghostbusters in this part of the world."

Shir (240) has posed:
"I'll be okay, just let me get some fresh air..." Shir seems a bit heistant about blood magic being used on her. Then again with some of the monsters that have bled on her she has reason to be. "Must be nice not to have to breathe at times like this huh, Deelel." She's a bit envious of the program right now but she wouldn't admit. "I'm Shir Gold for those who don't know me." She might as well introduce herself seeing how everyone else is.

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
Fayt, leaning tiredly on his staff, doesn't immeidatly notice Finna behind him, untill she starts swatting at the electricty around his head. "What, what the-no, don't!"

Too late! While it doesn't shock her, Finna would notice the electricy feels weird, very, VERY weird, and it we... the electricy goes haywire for a moment, there's a loud buzz as it all suddenly dissappears in a shower of sparks and then... nothing.

Fayt looks himself over for a moment, before looking to Finna and frowning. "Now why did you-wait what the..." Fayt's voice has gone high pitched and squeaky, like he inhaled a bunch of helieum. "Really? We've got new people here and this is what I sound like? you jsut HAD to go poking at it didn't you?" he elts out a long, slow, hilariously high pitched sigh.

Coincidentally, If Finna tries to respond? She might find that her voice has gone all funny like his. OOPS!

Inga has posed:
"A pleasure to meet you all," she says, then flashes a little smile to Finna. They've met, at least!

To Reiji, she nods. "Mmm, the Union. Might be something you may want to look into. Ghostbusters? Well, we do all sorts of things trying to protect the worlds."

Inga looks over toward high-voiced Fayt. She covers her mouth with a hand to try to hold back her giggle. And fails.

Xiaomu (707) has posed:
"What, you guys have a union?" asks Xiaomu, missing the capital letter and the inherent proper-nounness of the Union that's being talked about. "Sounds great to me, but what are the membership fees like?"

She pauses, looking at Fayt and Finna, and has to start fighting not to giggle. Fighting ... and losing. "Fufufu ... well, it's good to meet you all, anyway! Especially another fox on the side of good -" She reaches out to try and shake hands with Finna. "But yeah, good to meet all of you! - Reiji, how's your ammo on hand? We might have to go back to HQ and resupply, I'm down to what's in Silver and Platinum right now."

Deelel has posed:
Deelel looks at Shir and for a moment she look at Shir and smirks. Maybe it's not she's got the same sense of smell? She's never really got into but she seems amused at Shir none the less. She looks to Reiji for a moment humming.

"Ghostbusters? Err Egon's gone home last I knew, wait are you from his world?"

She hwas curious it's not likely so, but hey she can ask can't she? She looks over at ZXiaomu for a moment she laughs.

"Not that kind of Union still that ws pretty good. We should get you all somewhere with food, and showers I'd suspect many of you would want such."

Finna (513) has posed:
"Your gods have a strange sense of direction, Inga--aaaa--aaaa?!" ZAP!

And then Finna was blinking profoundly at this sudden development.

Just as the energy hits her though, all her tattoos shine through the illusion that hid them.... or rather, the illusion fails, and intricate whorling Moonsilver lines appear all over her flesh where it's exposed. The tribal markings glow and shimmer oddly kind of like a malfunctioning neon sign.... "Craaaazy magic!" Squeak-voice!

But regardless of that, she shakes Xiaomu's hand merrily enough.

Reiji Arisu has posed:
Fayt's head erupts with Chaotic Magic! And then he starts talking like some kind of cartoon character. Reiji gives Fayt the most sympathetic look. He knows, Fayt. He knows what dealing with impulsive fox-women is like. There's no pity in his eyes, or mirth, just the glow of a commiserating soul.

The fact that it seems to affect Finna somehow is... somewhat more worrisome. But at least it's gone now, right? Right.

People naturally begin to get curious about these two mysterious warriors. Reiji shrugs- it's not like they can exactly wave off the fact that there was a major supernatural event /right here/. "Not sure what you mean by 'his world,' but yeah. Xiaomu and I are agents of Shinra. We deal with..." He gestures vaguely in the direction of an incapacitated tengu, "...That kind of thing."

Reiji looks to his partner, then, and reaches to his ammunition-- only to find it missing. "Yeah, I'm spent, too," he answers, "Damn good thing we brought the anti-spirit rounds, though. Don't think Gozu would've gone down if we stuck to the cheap stuff."

Xiaomu (707) has posed:
Xiaomu nods semi-wearily to her all-human partner, pulling her attention away from a curious inspection of Finna's tattoos. "Yeah, those two bozos are the most expensive dates around, with anti-spirit rounds and property damage and ..." She trails off, looking at the warpgate.

"We gotta do something about this, too," she observes. "Think this is what Doku-Doku were talking about?"

Shir (240) has posed:
"Well, you shouldn't have much trouble fitting in if this is normal for you guys." Shir figures they shouldn't be phased by the Multiverse too much. "Anti-spirit rounds? Where do you get those from anyways?" She's kind of glad she's no longer part-spirit after hearing back those. "You have to have someone bless those or something?" Maybe she should invest in holy knives or something.

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
Fayt looks back to Finna. He looks. perhaps somewhat understandibly, a touch annoyed. "This is why we don't poke at The Power Inexplicable." He squeaks at her.

Yes, he's calling it that now.

That said, He frowns at Inga, before turning to Reiji and Xiaomu and giving them an apologetic, somewhat embaressed look. wit hthe fighting done, Fayt falls quiet. Letting the people who aren't stuck with silly voices do the talking for now.

Reiji Arisu has posed:
"HQ usually supplies us with our munitions. There are... a few ways to manufacture AS rounds- I know of a couple," for example! You could, for instance, infuse the proper mixture of elemental energies into the bullet, or inscribe sutras onto the shell casings, or simply melt down a Maltan silver cross and have the resulting bullets blessed by a priest! But Reiji prefers the former method.

He looks to the tear in space and time and... frowns. "...Yeah, probably," he replies, giving the portal a wary glare, "That's the only thing I can think of that'd be worth securing in Shibuya anymore. What the hell even /is/ it?"

Finna (513) has posed:
"Uhhhh... that..." Finna gestures oddly towards the warp gate. And after squeaky-coughing again... she begins making a series of strange gestures. Her eyes flick from Reiji's towards the warp gate, she starts pointing and spreading her arms out expansively...

Somehow or another, the minds of everyone watching this strange performance interprets it perfectly. Finna's explaining how the structure is a gate leading to countless other worlds and the other details about roaming the Multiverse.

Strange how a bunch of grinning and happy armswinging can accomplish that.

Reiji Arisu has posed:
Reiji has seen foxes dance before. Whenver Xiaomu drags him off to a karaoke bar against his will, for example. Unlike those times, though, this dance actually makes sense- even though the sense it makes is not something that Reiji seems to find all too pleasant. His frown deepens somewhat, and he runs a hand down the bottom half of his face. "Nng. I see," he grunts, glancing to Xiaomu. "That would explain the quakes, but... That means Ouma knew what this thing was for."

He stares into the portal as if he could extract some kind of /meaning/ from its endless depths. "...Why, though? Were they planning on invading other worlds or something? Doesn't quite make sense."

Well, it's not like he exactly has anyone to interrogate.

"I don't like it," he says, after a moment. "The implications, anyway. But we can deal with those later. For now, let's... Try to get back to headquarters in one piece. They'll probably want to lock this thing down tight."

Xiaomu (707) has posed:
Xiaomu nods to her partner. "Back to HQ for now, then, as quick as we can get there ... Thanks for your help, everyone!" she says to the 'outworlders' with a friendly grin and a wave.

Deelel has posed:
Deelel Shrugs at the quetion as to why.

"Could be after technology, magic, resources that can't be found on your world, or even things no one would have any idea of how to counter that could be it or some other goal. Oh by the way here's my comm number ot the both of you and to the Union if you want to know more or have any questions, you should also check out the Syndicate network if your looking for an alternative source of information."

Reiji Arisu has posed:
"We'll keep in touch," Reiji says, taking Deelel's contact information. "I imagine the guys in charge will want some intel as to what we're should be expecting, so you'll probably hear from them soon," he inclines his head gratefully before he turns to follow after Xiaomu, "Thanks again for the help."
