Ziggy Grover has posed:
Trying to convince Dr. K to come out of her lab where she'd been shutting herself away studying various bits of grinders and trying to reverse-engineer some sort of -control- to shut them down, Ziggy had found himself unable to persuade her to put on her very out-dated school-uniform. Seriously, people were people, and they needed -breaks-.

Contenting himself with finding a neutral ground and exploring it, Ziggy Grover was all too content to windowshop.

Currently, though, he was watching a little girl crying out loud while her mother was frantically trying to keep her calm.

Kneeling down, with a reassuring smile at the mother, Ziggy motions to the little girl. "Hey, look, I'll show you a cool little trickm okay?"

Pretending to roll up the sleeves of his jacket, Ziggy comments, "Nothing here, nothing there..."

A motion of his hands, and whip, a white sheet. "Presto. And now, I present to you..."

He holds up the sheet, to the mother, asking her to hold it and stand just so. "Look... Grover proudly presents..."

Twisting his hands just so, Ziggy produces...

"SHADOW PUPPETS."

Kari Wolf (276) has posed:
Kari just stands there near the child and her mother, watching Ziggy put on a shadow puppet play. The childish shinki just watches with rapt attention. And when it's over?
"Hey, can you do that again?" She suggests cheerfully.

Ziggy Grover has posed:
The shadow puppet proceeds to play the Three Billy Goat Gruffs, with accompanying high, medium, and GRUFF voice as the troll is sent screaming.

By the end of it, the girl has calmed down, and the grateful mother thanks Ziggy profusely. Pausing in mid-grab of the towel, Ziggy wrinkles his nose. "Sorry, one show for the moment."

"Aw, again!" the girl whines, while the mother takes the girl's hand.

"Ahh, c'mon, kid, listen to your mother. Besides, you can do your own. Look, your hand goes like..." He demonstrates a rough bunny, corrects the girl, and shoos. "Practice and show your mother later, hmmm?"

Back to Kari. "Sorry. You know, kids. They make for a good audience, but you never repeat a show twice."

Kari Wolf (276) has posed:
Kari looks skeptically at Ziggy. "Then how come they have so many showings for bands and magicians in New Las Vegas? A show every weeknight, three on Saturday!"

Ziggy Grover has posed:
Ziggy pauses, opens his mouth, and then reconsiders. "Well, that would be..." He holds up a finger, opens his mouth, thinks about it again, closes it. Making a noise in his throat, the young man adjusts his jacket. "That's because the audience pays for one show, and usually don't watch it again immediately," he finally responds, after another moment of thought.

Kari Wolf (276) has posed:
Kari doesn't seem to want to let this go, she scowls and thinks about what Ziggy said for a moment before her face brightens again. "I guess that's true! That's why they only show reruns on TV when everybody is on vacation in the summer!"

Ziggy Grover has posed:
"Um, yeah... " Scratching his head, Ziggy cants his head and then nods solemnly. "Good enough," he says, his grin entirely too wide, something burned into his brain after years of ingrating himself with the Cartels. "Um... so you liked the show?"

Kari Wolf (276) has posed:
Kari decides to do something silly. In a really badly done monotone voice, she says, "City Ordinance 359 states that street performers without a license will be incarcerated for a period of time not to exceed ninety days! For the appropriate graft, this unit will overlook this! Perform another one!" Okay, so... maybe it'll work, maybe not. Probably not, since she kind of botched the delivery towards the end.

Ziggy Grover has posed:
For a moment, Ziggy looks startled. There was a brief pause, before he squeaks, "You're a copper?"

Kari Wolf (276) has posed:
Kari seems really surprised that Ziggy fell for it. She laughs as Ziggy gets that startled look on his face. "No! I was being silly!"

Ziggy Grover has posed:
Phew. Cops and Ziggy didn't get along too well. Then again, the Cartels and cops didn't get along too well. So long as he kept his nose clean...

Wait, he was a Power Ranger now. That meant he was -clean-, now. No worries about getting thrown in jail.

"Oh good. Then I don't need to, uh, go to the bathroom," Ziggy squeaks out, fidgeting with his hands worriedly, fingers flexing one way then another.

Kari Wolf (276) has posed:
Kari tilts her head, curiously. "Why would you need to go to the bathroom? Did I scare you? Do you need a change of pants?!" She sounds genuinely concerned here.

Kari Wolf (276) has posed:
Kari believes the worst, truly! She starts looking at the passers-by. "Hey! Do you have spare underpants? I just scared somebody so bad they soiled themselves! I feel really bad about it!" and so forth. This coming from, mind you, a 15cm tall robot girl dressed in dog-themed armor who doesn't look all that intimidating.

Ziggy Grover has posed:
"... no, no, really. My underpants are fine," Ziggy spins around, waving his hands. Pausing to get a better look at Kari, Ziggy grimaces. "Just how old are you anyway?"

Blurr has posed:
One of those passers-by appears to be a blond teen who doesn't look too much older than Ziggy. Where most people just ignore her, he stares at her with a confused expression. "Underpants? Like, pants you wear underneath?" He's totally confused.

Kari Wolf (276) has posed:
Kari looks at the newcomer. "Yes, pants you wear under your normal pants. I don't know why people wear them..." She falls silent thinking for a moment, then offers. "Maybe it chafes if they don't wear them?" She says with a shrug.

Ziggy Grover has posed:
"... I'll have know," Ziggy responds, straightening up with a harumph. "I'm a -boxers- kind of guy."

Blurr has posed:
"Chafes what?" This seems to confuse Blurr even more. "I would think it's for extra warmth." He glances at Ziggy. "'Boxers'?" Yet another thing he doesn't know about. "Isn't that some kind of sport?"

Kari Wolf (276) has posed:
Kari is sure intent on being helpful tonight. "It chafes sensitive places! Like your butt! Jeans are pretty rough and you don't want your butt to get sore from sitting! And boxers are a kind of underwear that they wear on soap operas for the love scenes!"

Ziggy Grover has posed:
"Right, I'm a lover, not a fighter...!" Ziggy exclaims. Actually, he was more a talker than anything else, but he didn't -need- to advertise that. "I'm just... wait, why AM I discussing underpants with a little robot who probably doesn't even wear any? And why would -you- care about underpants? It's none of your business what _I_ wear under my pants!"

Blurr has posed:
Kari's explanation only serves to confuse Blurr even further. "So your butt gets sore from sitting if you don't wear two layers of cloth on it? What's a 'soap opera'?" And now he's imagining soap singing opera tunes.

Then he gives Ziggy a curious look. "I don't know about that, I've seen you fight pretty well." For a human, anyway. "What did that have to do with clothing anyway?"

Kari Wolf (276) has posed:
Kari umms... "It's padding. The underpants are made of a softer material so it protects your butt from the rough stuff." She probably has /no/ idea how awful that really sounded.

Blurr has posed:
Blurr doesn't have any idea how awful it sounded, either. He just nods. "Ooooh, okay. So I guess humans are more sensitive there."

Ziggy Grover has posed:
Looking back and forth, Ziggy holds his hands up, slowly backing away. "You know what...? I'm not discussing underpants. Or soap opera. I'm not even sure I want to know how you know me, and I am -pretty- danged sure I did not go on a bender and wake up next to you at -any- point. Or with anyone else, for that matter. So uh, if you'll excuse me, I... I need to find a bathroom."

Turning around, Ziggy pauses, then turns his head to shout back, "AND NO, I AM NOT CHECKING MY UNDERPANTS." And then he's gone.

Kari Wolf (276) has posed:
Kari watches Ziggy walk off after ranting. "... What was he so mad about?" She asks innocently.

Blurr has posed:
Blurr also watches him leave with an equally innocuous gaze. The avatar shrugs its shoulders. "No idea...maybe it's an uncomfortable topic for humans? They tend to get weird whenever someone mentions certain things. Apparently underpants is one of them."
