    Castle of Fayt Ravus
    Magix

Kyra and Lyria would havee been transmitted warpgate directions that lead straight into the castle. Exiting into what seems like lobby of some sort, there's a giant crystal in the middle of the room, a few benches set around, and what looks like a throne of some sort... though it's covered by a sheet.

Not too far form there is the workshop. Tables littered with random objects fill the room. one stands out however, on it sits two computers, old form the looks of it, clearly powered and networked together. Fayt's standing nnear one, scratching his chin as he looks at the screen as what appears to be multicolored electricty dances around his head.

Finally, on the walls of the workshop are what appears to be several wooden panels, all glowing a soft white. Huh.

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
Good thing there's a warpgate involved because Kyra doesn't typically have something on her for flying. Stepping out into the lobby, she looks all around, trying to spot Fayt whom she's actually met once before. She looks all around the throne room until she finds the workshop nearby, which is clearly recognizable as a workshop.

"Hey!" she greets cheerfully, strolling in and giving his setup an appraising look. "Wow, where'd you dig up these fossils? I haven't seen these kind of monitors in yeaaaaars." she comments, callously, not considering that this might actually be Fayt's tech level!

She claps her hands together. "Soooo...what have we got?"

Lyria Mason has posed:
Lyria Mason is here as well fairly fast due to the warp gate. She had to wonder about what Fayt was doing and how applicable it might be on their world. Either way she's here and she pauses at the machine which she's just staring at whistling.

"Just how /old/ are these things?!"

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
Fayt looks up form the montiry as the other arrive. "Huh? oh..." slowly he tilts his head to the side. "Old? Oh, right? Yeah, these are basically junkers. We're dealing with something they're not normally meant to do and well..' he shrugs sheepshly. "Chaos magic, there's a good chance I'll end up breaking and replacing these things several times before I get it right now's not the time for high end flat screens, eh?"

He nods, quickly. "Anyway, they work, and I can send normal files between the two fo them. That should be all we need for now, right?"

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
"So you're trying to put your...chaos magic through it, huh?" Kyra suppresses an almost instinctual shudder, ingrained in her by years of religious teachings, to the very word 'chaos.' "Fair enough. I mean, you can just replace them with your stuff-getting powers when you need to, right?" She draws closer to the two monitors, walking around and resembling them.

"I didn't want to get into too many details about it but the tech on Galianda runs on MP. It's a part of the network protocol used on Mognet too...but transmitting an actual spell is not something it's capable of. But this is Galiandan tech we're talking about and so far it hasn't been backwards compatible with extraversal stuff so this..." she gestures at Fayt's set-up, "Has me reaaaaally curious. How did you convert it to run with mana?" At least to Kyra's knowledge mana and MP are basically the same thing so she has no trouble switching between the words.

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
Fayt frowns as Kyra almost seems to shudder. "Hmm..." He shrugs. "anyway, um... huh? Um no, it still runs off normal electricty, it's a normal system. I'm jsut trying to move spells and amna throught it." He frowns." Um... sorry if I made it sound otherwise."

"Anyway, gentl-" He stops as he looks over his audience, hen suddenly coughs. "Behold." He lifts up what seems to be a tennis ball with what looks a USB cable jammed into it, the other end's hook up to one of hte computer towers. "It's crude, but I can use this to try and put mana into the network.. and I mean try. It hasn't done anything I'd consider a success yet." He frows again.

Lyria Mason has posed:
Lyria Mason looks to Fayt and nods figuing the old junkers were being used because of the risks involved to whatever he was working on. She thinks for a moment she nods to Kyra as she explains their world a bit.

"Let's see what you got here..."

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
"Oh! I guess I misheard, it sounded like you've managed to get it to transmit mana between the two computers." Kyra shrugs, not looking terribly disappointed. That just meant he could succeed with her standing there, with her help!

She leans forward, observing the...tennis ball? "So how's it work? You channel your mana into the tennis ball and then it's supposed to go into the cable?" Her green eyes flick up at Fayt again, "What's it done for you so far-actually, how about you show us?" Kyra claps her hands together again excitedly.

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
Fayt nods slowly "Well, alright." He tightens his grip around the tennis ball and starts to focus, there's a weird eletric buzzing noise as the elctricty around Fayt's head gets a touch more violent.

This is also met with a peircing howl from the PC Fayt's pumping manaa into, as it blue screens showing the following error: 0x00000WTF MAG_FILE_SYSTEM

Lyria Mason has posed:
Lyria Mason says "That's still useful if your using mana as a power supply for something it would allow for storage and trasfer that' pretty curious."

She pauses as things start to go bad. She looks intently at the error and ponsers.

"A WTF error huh? Impressive."

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
Right away, Kyra clamps her hands over her ears as it starts to howl up in Fayt's castle. Out of curiosity, she still forces herself to watch Fayt's hand, seeing him work his magic for the first time. Her eyes glance over to the computer as the blue screen of death shows. Kyra laughs as she sees the result. "Well that's something! It didn't explode3 and it recognized what happened! Well sort of. It recognized that something happened and it has no idea what! I suspect it's that because your power source registers as unusual. Hmm, I'm not too sure what to suggest next other than other network cables just to cover your bases."

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
Fayt winces as the comptuer bluescreens, quickly moving to turn it off, and then start it up again. "Hate when it does that. Y-yeah, I seem to be getting as far as it recognising SOMETHING being put through it, it's making it not crash that's proving difficult." he tilts his head to the side. "The cables?" Well i' not even getting on the first PC nevermind the second.... though I could try putting it in a differn way... Hmm..." He starts to scratch at his chin again, while that emulti-colored electricty continues to dance around his head.

Lyria Mason has posed:
Lyria Mason folds her arms and seems to be thinking at just what went wrong here Just what humm, not eh question is you might beed to redo the Operating system I'm thinking. That would be the best bet maybe get some people who are more experianced with something like this. Hummm have you considered trying to see if you can make the system understand what it's getting?"

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
"Well I'm not an engineer-that's Lyria's specialty so she could help more for that buuuut if I had to guess it sounds like some kind of conversion issue. Like the computer doesn't recognize the magic as a correct protocol yet? But let's play around with how it's stuck to the tennis ball. That is a tennis ball, right?"

Kyra leans forward to get a better look at what Fayt's holding.

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
Fayt nods. "Yeah, it's just a tennis ball. all I did was cut a hole to jam the cable into. I actually did osmething similar before, with some simple eletrical wiring and a glove, used it to help draw mana out of someone." He stops as he waves his hand in front of his face. "Er... probably best not to bring up the exact details on that one, long story and i'm sure the person in question wouldn't like me retelling it. but long storry short, I did osmething kinda-sorta like this before, just... not into something so complicated."

A closer look at the tennis ball would revela that it is infact a tennis ball with a USB cable jammed into it. simple!

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
Upon examining the rigged setup a little more closely, Kyra finds herself amazed that it is even working to begin with. Then again this could be a stark illlustration about the different ways technology worked throughout the multiverse? "Kind of a shame though interesting-sounding story...hmm, let's see. Maybe you need something on the receiving end? Something for the sent MPs to do/'

Lyria Mason has posed:
Lyria Mason :Grins for a moment.

"Yes I'd have to agree it seem to be a converion issue."

She looks for a moment at Fayte thinking wondering if he might be on to something with trying to draw off smeone else. Wait that is a tennis ball she now just kinda stares.

"Wait your using a Tennis ball...?"

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:

Fayt blisk. "Yes, it's a tennis ball. I can readilly pump mana into it, then funnle it down the cable." He then nods to Kyra. "Well... hmm..." he's quite for a moment then. "well, whatever we build, perferably it'd attach to the computer rather than be on the computer itself. I'm actually doing this, as well as some other work I need to get to, as research for my ability ot enchant things, possibly even for alternate forms for Maugris, my abstractum. It... kindo f all depends on how everything shakes out I guess."

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
"Well yeah, I get where you're coming from now." Kyra rubs her chin. "So you'd want some kind of adaptor you can attach that'll make ti work. Sorry, just rambling, it feels like something ese would need to change for one of these computers to work with magic. She pauses, then looks excited."

"Oh wow, so you'd be able to do long-distance enchanting with it, right? Didn't know you had an Abstractum like Riva did. But! Yeah, that's my first suggestion, try a different cable."

Lyria Mason has posed:
Lyria Mason pauses as she seems to understand at this point she gets the idea now it's acting as a MP container or battery she muses for a moment on this.

"I see so you have one of those as well? Humm I think I'm getting an idea of what your doing here. Also your partner doe schange things this is a wild card that just might make this work. Hummm Wait I think I see where your going with it yes new cables."

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
"Actually..." Fayt says. "This is more for better using my ability to enchant things with technology, though putting things through a network to enchant distent things could be interesting..." a pause, then he adds. "I planed on using that turret Kongou gave me for some work with enchating things at a distence, namly by seeing if I can pass an enchantment to something from a projectile."

Kyra Hyral (626) has posed:
"Ahhh..." Kyra echos, getting an even better picture of what Fayt intnends to do now. "So we're still first and foremost working a compatibility problem?" Kyra further prods, trying to understand exactly what Fayt was looking for. "So you could pass your magic along through technology, onto some of theres? Is that what we're looking at? Hmm...it's got to work somehow with this tech. Some kind of conversion, maybe...?" she looks to Lyria for help on this one. She's the engineer after all.

Lyria Mason has posed:
Lyria Mason thinks for a moment about the ship spirit and thinks she sees where this is is going.

"So it's more of getting them to talk to eachother humm? I think I see what your doing here.

"You'd need some sort of power converter for lack of a better term but I admit working with non magical thing is a weak point of mine."

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
"A converter? Hmm..." Fayt seesm to think this over for a bit. "Yeah, that'd make sense." He suddenly yawns. "Hmm... been at this for awhile now, pretty much whenever I wasn't working. Maybe I should stop for a bit ,get back to it later." He shakes his head. "I'll have to look into that, might have to ask around a bit. I'm sure we could figure something out."
