Just a day in the market...
Date of Scene: 20 March 2015
Location: City of Ravnica <Rav>
Synopsis: Rhapsody receives an unexpected visit from a fellow dragon and finds the help she needs with a sensitive issue
Cast of Characters: Bahamut, 325

Bahamut has posed:
Somewhere in Ravnica, Rhapsody is doing something. What that something is has yet to be determined by a certain steely dragon who is flying about the skies above Ravnica. He has learned from past mistakes and alerted the local law enforcement, in this case the Azorius, that he would be in the area and to please not shoot him out of the sky or any such thing.

He circles his way down into the market near the Izzet Quarter and lands carefully in an open plaza before startin through the town, asking those he passes if the Izzet guildmaster has been out and about today. As he asks, he is making his way toward the guild itself. If she is not out here, he will find her in there. He has tried to keep her unaware, since she has seemed nervous about him in the past. Perhaps if he simply shows up he will gain some sort of audience.

Rhapsody (325) has posed:
lets hope the Azor were nice to Bahamut and didn't force upon the dragon the stacks of paperwork required for such a visit. Blasted Azor beuracracy is a horrible thing. Regardless of if they did or didn't, the dragon would find himself not being shot down, nor attacked, as he decends upon the Izzet Sector. This place was HER home, and most magewrights had a healthy respect of any kind of dragon, and especially Union allied ones.

As he moves about, asking about the Guildmaster, some would pay him no mind, some would consider the question dubious at best, but a particular 'enforcer' of the Izzet would point Bahamut in the right direction. It would seem that Rhapsody was visiting a portion of Tin Street that made its way through the Izzet Quarter. Why? Why not. Window shopping, more than anything else. Unlike her father, she liked putting in a little face time in the sector she now had control over.

Bahamut has posed:
After being pointed in the right direction, Bahamut makes his way toward Tin Street. He ponders the name as he walks. Is it some kind of metallurgic section? Is it regarded a lesser sector? Either way, the steely dragon with the colorful wings makes his way there, keeping his eyes open for the guildmaster.

She might spot him before he spots her. He is a 15 foot tall dragon, after all, and she is human-sized. He continues to ask if anyone has seen the guildmaster as he walks down Tin Street, marvelling a bit at the plethora of different species walking the streets.

Rhapsody (325) has posed:
Tin Street is, in fact, a very long street. So long, that it makes its way through each of the guild districts, and provides market space to each one! Think of it as a never ending bazaar that makes a massive mobius strip that slips into the lower sectors and eventually rises to the surface again. With how long Ravnica has been in the multiverse, it is entirely likely that you can find anything on this street.

        Anything.

As Bahamut continues his search, he'd actually spot Rhapsody first. Why? She's in a small chat with one of the shopkeepers, talking about materials and other such things. She's holding a list, so, either she wrote it or her brother did. Considering the stall is full of materials for a forge, it's a safe bet that Ryxinel wrote the list.

Bahamut has posed:
Bahamut grins as he notices the guildmaster. He makes his way toward her, hoping the noise of the market might mask his approach. When he is within about 10 feet of her, he suddenly says, "Ah! There you are, Rhapsody! I was beginning to think you were hiding from me! It is good to see a guildmaster out and about amongst the normal people of the city. It shows a good character." he says in his strong, almost bellowing tone. It is easily heard above the noise of the market.

Rhapsody (325) has posed:
Considering a huge bi-pedal dragon is making its way through the markets, a lot of people are gawking. It helps lower the droning buzz of the bazaar, but it remains, even as and after Bahamut speaks.

Hearing that familiar voice, Rhapsody's first reaction is to jump a little, quickly (if not instantly) gather her composure, and then she turns to glance the long distance up toward Bahamut. "It's something my father rarely did! Though he was even taller than you, so, I think the markets would have some trouble making room for him," smile. If she's feeling shy around the taller dragon, again, she's doing her best to hide it. (Her tailtip's eratic twitching may be her tell, however.) "What brings you all the way out here? I wasn't aware you were even visiting!"

Bahamut has posed:
Bahamut chuckles gently as Rhapsody jumps, then folds his arms over his chest in his usual haughty pose. "Forgive me for not notifying you, but with our worlds so close together in the vastness of the Multiverse, I felt I should be a good neighbor and pay you a visit. There are few dragons in the Multiverse worthy of my attention, after all, and I must maintain good relations with those that are." He gives a little wink, then looks at the list.

Then, he can't help but chuckle softly. "A guildmaster who does her own shopping. You must enjoy the market." he says, looking around at the many faces glancing up at him. "So...how are you, Rhapsody? Have your training sessions been going well?"

Rhapsody (325) has posed:
"Ah, well, I enjoy being around the people here. That and Ryxinel is in the middle of making Mizzium and if he stops in the middle he'll ruin the batch, so, I offered to go get him a few things. Nothing needed for the ingots, thankfully, but it didn't bother me to do so," she explains. Seeing as they're drawing a crowd, the Guildmaster motions for Bahamut to follow with a small 'please' expression.

As she walks, she continues speaking, "My training has been slow. I've been caught up in doing a lot of Guild related things such as Presentation day a week or so ago. I've been ... considering a few different people to help me with some other things, recently.."

Bahamut has posed:
"Mizzium?" Bahamut asks with curiousity as they starts walking together. "Is that a special alloy of this world? My own world uses a few different special alloys. Mithril, adamantite, and oricalcum." he says, just making a bit of small talk.

When presentation day is mentioned, Bahamut tsks. "I am sorry I missed it. I had heard that you and Yunomi had several different things to display. Did you present anything good?" He tilts his head. "And, what sort of things were you needing help with? I will of course help if I can."

Rhapsody (325) has posed:
"An alloy my father created. It's one of the best alloys that we have in Ravnica. Demand is rather high, but the production of it is rather slow. Ryxinel has learned how to make it but he's not as fast as Niv was at making it. He does what he can, and I'm glad for it, though," she muses.

"Presentation day went very well. Yunomi's presentation went over insanely well with the rest of the guild. My father would simply judge, not present, and as a result I did the same. I didn't present anything, myself," she admits.

At the offer of assistance, she almost seems to say something, bites back, and then speaks after another moment, "I wouldn't want to pull you away from your own responsibilities, Bahamut, but I appreciate the offer."

Bahamut has posed:
Bahamut chuckles. "Duties? Despite my position, my duties are actually quite limited. I am a defender. I have no administrative responsibilities to speak of. I simply answer the call for a hero when it is sent." he says, then rests a large clawed hand on Rhapsody's shoulder. "It would be my honor to assist you, if at all possible, Lady Rhapsody."

After that, he gives her shoulder a little squeeze, then pulls his hand back. "And, I can respect you following the example of your father. Although I never met him, even I have heard stories of him. He saved this entire world, and possibly the multiverse, with his noble sacrifice. The only way to beat that is to save the entire multiverse and live to tell the tale, and from what I have heard the enemy he faced was far too dangerous for that option."

Rhapsody (325) has posed:
"mm.." A touchy subject, even a year later. Well, it's almost exactly a year later, so it may be a little more sensitive now than usual. Its likely why she doesn't really touch on talking about it. She does, however, answer the earlier note, "W-well.. There's something I need to learn. It's not fighting or science or anything like that. It's something more, ah, natural.."

Bahamut has posed:
Bahamut notices the expression on Rhapsody's face, and nods lightly, then listens to Rhapsody's explanation. "And...what is that?" he asks, a light smirk on his face. He is trying very hard not to let his mind slip into the gutter, but he can't resist a small chuckle.

Rhapsody (325) has posed:
"Ah, well, you know this isn't what I really am, Bahamut. You er.. saw it once.. when Jean was giving me some instruction once before. I .. do have wings, but, well, I've only really glided occasionally with them.." she muses as the two put some distance between themselves and Tin Street. She wasn't going to say the next bit in public with a lot of ears around. "Ah.. I still need to learn how to use them.." she doesn't come right out and say she needs to learn how to fly, but well, she does.

Bahamut has posed:
Bahamut's earfins perk as he hears that, then he smiles gently. "I see. Well, as a master of flight, I would be more than willing to teach you. There are many good places to fly in Spira if you wish to keep this training discrete." he says as they continue to walk. He looks down at Rhapsody. "Are you able to change to your natural form at will? It seemed like it was not really a conscious transformation last time I saw it. I could be wrong."

Rhapsody (325) has posed:
"That would be great, actually," Rhapsody replies at first, "And.. yes, I would prefer something at Spira, more than here. As for my changing, I can do that on my own I just, don't.. for reasons I believe you are familiar with, now."

Bahamut has posed:
Bahamut ponders a moment. "I am not sure. It seems you are uncomfortable with your natural form. Even if you are unable to fly yet, that is no reason to be embarrassed. You are young, and you have had no one to teach you. While we are not exactly the same type of dragon, I am more than happy to help." He pauses a moment, then smirks lightly. "Are your siblings able to fly yet? Is that causing you some grief?"

Rhapsody (325) has posed:
Her first response is a shake of her head, "They can't, but they've already started trying. Sidonia is insisting to do it on her own, Ryxinel is getting some help from other Magewrights, so I decided I should ask around soon but, well," a glance up is given, "I didn't have to look very long."

Bahamut has posed:
Bahamut nods at that, then gives his wings a flap before stretching them and folding them against his sides again. "Well then, the only thing left is to determine when you would like your first lesson. I have many afternoons and evenings free, so simply let me know when you would be available. We will start on the cliffs of Bikanel Island, where the desert meets the water, creating powerful updrafts that are perfect for learning to fly."

Rhapsody (325) has posed:
Consideration is given for a few moments, but then, "Maybe later this week, or even monday? I have to go to Reptilon on Sunday so I can try and see if the Izzet Magewrights can setup a defense for it from the saiyans that are attacking the planet," she explains. Seems that the Guildmaster is keeping up in multiversal affairs, too. "I really appreciate this, Bahamut. I'm not sure how well this will go, but I'll try. It's all anyone can do when they're learning something, after all."

Bahamut has posed:
Bahamut nods to Rhapsody, then chuckles at that last statement. "You are a dragon. You can do anything. You will try, and you will succeed." he says, standing tall above her and grinning down at her. "And with me as your teacher, I am sure it will take no time at all." he adds.

Rhapsody (325) has posed:
"Oh, I'm certain of that!" Rhapsody calls out, blinking at her own volume a moment later, "Eh heh, sorry,". Seems someone is rather enthusiastic about this idea! Some of that shyness has worked its way out. Likely it'll be completely gone by the time this is all over. "Thank you, again. I really mean it."

Bahamut has posed:
Bahamut blinks at the volume as well, then chuckles good-naturedly. "No reason to apologize. Enthusiasm is to be encouraged, not discouraged." he says, then bows his head. "You are quite welcome, Lady Rhapsody. I should return to Spira, then. I will see you Monday." He spreads his wings, then crouches before leaping into the sky and giving a few powerful flaps, carrying him away like a fighter jet.
