Let's Go Fishing! - Yari, Sanary, and Lute
Date of Scene: 22 March 2015
Location: Pokemon-2
Synopsis: Lute takes Yari and Sanary on a fishing trip to Lake Rage.
Cast of Characters: 188, 691, Sanary Rondel

Lute (188) has posed:
It's a relatively cloudy day at the Lake of Rage, the famous lake in the Johto reason. A famous tourist location, and a great boating spot, it's one of the most notable date locations in the Pokemon World.

Lute, currently, is waiting by the beachside. Sadly, it's not the warmest right now. It's in the low fifties, so a coat might be necessary. Lute himself has a rather light jacket on. He looks up, smiling. At the least, it doesn't look like it'll rain! He places his hands in his jacket pockets, and looks towards the lake, smiling. Fairly at peace. He shifts his feet a bit on the dock, just to hear the sound of the old planks creak a bit. It's a minor thing, but he enjoys the charming natural noise of it. Next to him there is a boat, tied up. It's a rather decent sized motor boat, enough room on it for several people to casually walk around a bit. It's a rental, though, so sadly he can't brag about owning it.

Unless they decide to end the date by jacking the boat.

Yari Takane (691) has posed:
Yari arrives, walking down the creaky dock with the natural ease of someone /far/ too used to being on them for a member of a scouting non-naval unit. The reason for that might be evident quickly, as clutched in her hand and tail are a fishing rod of rather impressive quality, as well as a pair of coolers that she's having some trouble juggling. Still, the Au Ra isn't one to ask for help, making do as she can.

She's dressed in a light jacket over a perhaps surprisingly informal t-shirt and jeans that are certainly flattering to her trim figure. Oddly, the t-shirt is bright yellow, with a far-too-cheery 'WORLD PEACE' logo on it.

"Centurion Takane reporting, Mister Lute! I'm looking forward to our outing." She says, quiet and a little formal as usual. Then she's looking back for the third member of their trio.

"I've been told the fish here are varied. It'll be good to catch something different to feed the troops." No, she hasn't quite been filled in on the details of how pokemon work.

She smiles a bit finally. "It has been a while since I've gotten to fish with people I like."

Sanary Rondel has posed:
This had to be the first time Sanary would ever be on a boat. Not an airship, a starship, a dropship, or even a sandship. An actual water-based boat. She wasn't sure what to expect, but she is actually dressed semi-appropriately for once with a bright red rafting vest over a cheaply made white tank-top and beige slacks.

"There you are. Been waiting long?" She grins confidently as she raises her free hand in greeting towards the two, a short spear strapped to her back. "Been a while since I've gone fishing, too. Hope there's some big ones today."

There's an easy smile on the healers face as she looks Lute and Yari over, glancing between them slowly. "Have you two ever met before? In person like this, I mean." She doesn't wait for a response before gesturing at both of them. "Yari, Lute. Lute, Yari."

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute turns towards Yari, smiling as she arrives. And, honestly, a bit baffled. The Garleans are a rather stiff bunch from what he has heard. And sure, this is a date, but still. Seeing Yari arrive in a 'World Peace' T-shirt is a bit baffling. But, still, she has fishing rods. Which, he smiles at.

"Glad that you brought some rods. I have some as well. They're in the boat at the moment. ...But they're made specifically for catching Pokemon. It'll be good if we can catch some normal fish, too."

And then, Sanary arrives. Lute waves to her, walks up to her, and gives her a quick kiss. On the lips, of course. He doesn't go for too deep of a kiss, because he wants to avoid making Yari jealous. He's still not quite sure at what sort of relationship these two have.

But, he grins at Sanary, "Well, we met once, but she was in disguise, and it was only briefly. It's good to meet her again, though, and for real."

Lute moves to help Yari with the cooler, if permitted, before moving into the boat. He's pondering. Should he give Yari a kiss, too? ...Nah. He'll wait for the moment to be right. For now, he'll just sit at the controls, waiting for both of them to be ready for take off. Lute, of course, is not wearing a lifejacket. Partially because, worst case scenario? His Tentacruel can fish him out of the lake.

"So, you two ever fish for Pokemon before? ...If not, no big deal, we can fish for normal fish too."

Yari Takane (691) has posed:
When Sanary appears, Yari practically glows for a moment. Her tail swishes, her eyes light up, only for her to quickly try to calm herself. She makes a show of fiddling with her fishing equipment.

She ponders a moment, and as Sanary passes? She'll wrap the woman up in a hug, careful to not get her caught up with that fishing rod of hers! Squeeeze!

Then she'll let go. She nods to Sanary then.

"Yes, we met while I was on assignment. Thankfully we can relax here." This, apparently, is relaxing to the Garlean soldier. The kiss to Sanary has her flushing a bit, nevermind her own actions. There's not necessarily envy in her eys, but a kind of awkwardness to her that clearly shows she's out of her depth with this whole thing.

Chalk up Yari's feelings towards Sanary on 'figuring it out'. Love wasn't covered in the Garlean training manuels.

Still, with a pause, she looks to Lute again. "I should at least give proper introductions. Centurion Takane, XIV Legion. I'm glad to be here." Then, rather than a salute, she'll reach out to tail-shake Lute's hand. It's a start, at least.

Then the cooler is taken, and she's on the boat. A hand will help Sanary in if she needs it.

"First time. I"m willing to learn. Are pokemon edible? I've heard of a creature called 'Gyrados' that might make for excellent sushi." She really, /really/ hasn't gotten the pokemon memo. Stowing and checking her bait cooler, she then immediately goes for the cooler full of beer. Never let it be said that Yari doesn't stock for the occasion.

Then a glance to Sanary. "I like the shirt, Sanary. And...are you spear fishing?"

Sanary Rondel has posed:
There's a quiet noise at being greeted by Lute's kiss, but Sanary does return with a light peck and grin of her own. She's still flustered by it afterwards, of course, muttering something incoherently to herself before looking around at nothing in particular to keep herself distracted. Yari's hug is significantly less startling in comparison, and the healer returns it firmly with a relaxed laugh while tilting sideways slightly to avoid shoving the back end of the spear into her face.

"On a job, then? Well, good thing we're here today. Never hurts to get to know each other outside of work." She does sound rather confident about that, still glancing between the two to try and gauge their reactions to each other. She's certainly expecting them to get along well, and fishing seems like a peaceful enough way to do just that.

"Never fished for Pokemon. Don't have those back home, just regular fish. Never really did it in a boat before, either." She looks somewhat uneasy as she steps onto the boat with Yari's assistance, moving quickly to brace herself against the side to keep from falling over even before it even leaves the dock.

"Yep! It's all the same in the end, right? Dive in, stab something, get out." Sanary pats the spear on her back, then eyes the fishing rods and furrows her brow slightly. "... Was I supposed to bring one of those?"

Lute (188) has posed:
"Yeah, may as well properly introduce myself as well. Lute. Or, Logan Trieste. Some of the girls who are closer to me prefer to just call me 'Logan'."

He pauses a bit, realizing its a little odd that his cute nickname of Lute is what everyone calls him, but the people close to him call him by his real name. It's a bit backwards. He shrugs it off, though. Lute, of course, shakes the tail backback. Sure, the tail-shake is a bit weird, but ehhhh, he doesn't care. He's pretty relaxed with most everything. Though, one thing does catch his attention, as Yari speaks. Something he'll have to make sure to clear up.

"We don't actually eat Pokemon. They're sapient, so it'd be pretty terrible. When you fish for Pokemon, you try to capture them or battle them. ...Don't worry, though. I only brought some Old Rods. They'll let us catch some weaker Pokemon." But, he takes a glance at Sanary as well, "...And, we generally don't stab them. You can stab the /normal/ fish, though. Pokemon won't go for actual hooks, they'll just go for special lures we use. And I brought enough Old Rods for all of us, if need be."

He motions towards the Old Rods. At the end, instead of hooks? There are Pokeball looking lures on them.

He starts up the boat, though he's going at a rather slow pace. It's a large lake, but still, it's only a lake. It's only /so/ big. Once they're in the middle, he turns off the engine, and hands them the rods, if they want to take them. But, as he hands out the old rods, he smiles at the two of them.

"...You're both such a cute couple. Heck, are you two even embarrased about kissing in front of others? I mean the two of you just hugged, right? Don't worry, feel free to kiss, I won't mind."

Lute honestly does feel this way. He believes they're rather cute together! Both a bit shy. Plus, Sanary is rather relaxed with a lot of things, while Yari is rather uptight. They compliment eachother well.

Plus, let's be honest, he wouldn't pass up a chance to see two women kissing.

Yari Takane (691) has posed:
Yari nods to Sanary, arm crossing seriously. "It's been demonstrated that interaction outside of official duties often results in increased team cohesion and morale." No, it's not easy for Yari to turn off the soldier part of her brain.

The woman, though certainly as stiff as she is when not heavily intoxicated, hardly seems to mind Lute. If anything, between Sanary and Lute just being so /different/, she can't help a light smile the entire time. She might not exactly know how to cope with all of this, but at least it's not stressful, just a little awkward.

Yari ooh's just a touch.

"I'd like to try that Sanary! Spear fishing. I've always used a rod. Can you teach me?" Her voice doesn't hide her excitement.

To Lute, she gives a nod, and a smallest of smiles. "Oh. Oh, I see." Here, she sounds apologetic, and definitely caught off guard. She rubs her head.

"How does one differentiate? Just by what they go for? And...what do you do with the caught pokemon?"

At least she doesn't eat sentient things.

When Lute starts talking about them being a cute couple, Yari almost drops her beer. Her cheeks light up, tail curls, and she stares him in the eyes as though wondering if he's teasing her. But no, there's honesty in that face.

"Y...you really are as forward as you seem." She starts. Then, slowly, she straightens. Walking to her beer cooler, she fishes out a liquor bottle, and begins chugging at a frankly obscene rate. Slapping it back in the cooler, she looks to Sanary and Lute, and snaps a salute.

"A Centurion of the Legion will not turn down a challenge! I'll overcome even this, Mister Lute!" What is she talking about?

Then she walks right up to Sanary, pauses, and looks at Lute in this utterly cute, bashful little way that's far too girlish for a soldier. Then she steels herself, reaches out, and tries to draw Sanary into a kiss with a burning blush the entire time.

It might be noted that she's actually pretty good at it.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
"Wait. So your actual name isn't Lute?" That was news to Sanary, She shrugs lightly after that revelation, not appearing too affected by it. "Hm. Well... Would you rather I keep calling you Lute or Logan?" She mouths that a few times before shaking her head, her brow furrowing again. "Lute definitely sounds more... You-ish, but Logan's got a certain thing to it."

The idea of not eating Pokemon seems to confused Sanary, however, and she releases her hold on the side of the boat momentarily to turn around and lean back against it instead. "So... Sapient means they'll make us sick or something?" She shrugs again, convinced enough to avoid that for the time being. Still, the idea of at least trying it still lingers in her mind, and she eyes the Old Rods from a distance.

"Sure, Yari. It's pretty easy once you get used to how the spear moves in the water. Not the same as stabbing something through the air, so it might take a bit of time. I could show you, too, Lute." There's a confident smile on her face as she takes the spear off her back and holds it out to them. It's a fairly cheap looking tool, little more than a stick with a sharpened rocks tied to it.

Turning to the Old Rods next, she stares at them inquisitively before gesturing at the lures. "They'll just... Go after little ball lures? Weird. Eh, if it works."

A bright blush colors the girl's face as Lute mentions the topic of kissing. "Wh... K-kissing anybody's embarrassing with or without people around!" Looking and sounding flustered as she says that, there's a look of surprise and bewilderment as Yari kisses her. Sanary does return it after a little while, though, bracing one hand on her back to try and match the Au Ra's enthusiasm.

Lute (188) has posed:
As the question comes up on how to tell fish and Pokemon apart, Lute just chuckles, "Well, fish should look like the fish you know. Pokemon tend to be larger, and able to speak, it should be fairly easy to tell the two apart." He then glances to Sanary, "And sapient means they have minds of their own. Human level intelligence, mostly."

Lute gets to work, getting a fishing rod ready. He casts his line out. And then Yari and Sanary start to kiss. Lute pauses. Staring. Yeah, it's rather rude to stare, but honestly? Lute doesn't care. Hell, he's really focused on them a lot. He's reminded of something Yari said to him. He chuckles a bit, "...Just so you know, Yari. This? This /really/ improves my morale. ...And Sanary, it's nothing to be embarrased about. I mean, really. You and I have done a lot more behind closed doors. You should and Yari need to get a lot closer."

     A pause.

"...Though hell, I wouldn't mind Yari getting closer to me, too. I might have to steal her from you, Sanary. Hell, where is /my/ kiss?" This is obviously in jest. Sanary should fully know Lute's policy on 'open relationships'. But, he also is under the impression that Yari would actually go through with it.

He stops staring, though, and turns his eyes to the rod. Hey, he may as well let her try to surprise him with a kiss. Maybe. Though he's obviously hoping.

Yari Takane (691) has posed:
Yari just kinda sighs at poor Sanary for a moment before Lute explains sapience. Really, she loves the girl, but clearly Yari needs to switch some from physical training to homeschooling.

With thoughts of rulers and notebooks in her head banished, she gets down to work. Namely, with lips. When she finally pulls away, she shoots Sanary a searing glance that it takes her a moment to shove down.

Yari has some pride and dignity after all. She doesn't bother hiding that linger blush though. Even Lute watching doesn't seemed to have bothered her too much.

"Mmm! That would be useful. Who knows when I'll run into aquatic opponents, too." She idly peers at one of her kunai, yanked from somewhere on her person. Best not to think too much where they're all hidden.

Then she gets to fishing. Proper fishing at first, she needs dinner tonight after all for the troops! Tossing out her line, she deftly handles the rod, cradling it with one leg, her tail, and her hand reeling in just a touch. Then she sets it on a convenient pole-holder.

A brow rises at Lute, before she finally can't help but laugh a little.

"And mine too. Don't worry, Sanary's morale is one of my top priorities." The way she says it is a little bit less than professional, wavering between cute and longing in that slightly bumbling way.

Then her eyes are on the pair, the soldier at once looking flustered at Lute, and yet far too curious for her own good as she sips a beer in contemplation.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
As the kiss ends, Sanary takes a moment to breathe slowly and recompose herself. She's actually at a loss for words for a few moments, although a slight grin does cross her face eventually as she gives Yari another peck on the lips. "Ch-challenge complete, I guess."

She does realize where she is again after Lute speaks up, though, and she stammers incoherently before snorting at his comment. "D-dammit, Lute. We're out in the open here. Should you even be talking about your...?" She trails off once again at the notion of getting closer with Yari, the redness on her cheeks intensifying. "N-not out here! I mean, if there was a..."

Sanary trails off after a moment, her brain apparently melting from everything going on. It takes her quite a while just to get her mind back into fishing, grabbing at one of the Old Rods absentmindedly. She seems to know how to use a rod well enough get the lure in the water, at least, although there's still a bit of incoherent mumbling from the girl.

"Y-yeah. Morale and... Uh. We... Yeah. Um."

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute smiles at Sanary, though he doesn't turn his head to look at her fully. Gotta keep half an eye on the line, after all! Yari seems confused too. Hrm. should he tease these two a /biiiit/ more? He's already heard from Yari that she's pretty relaxed in a lot of ways, and Sanary and him have been close for a while. Some teasing might be good.

"Ehhh. Being out in the open never bothered me. Besides, it's a bit early in the season for tourists. We're the only one on the lake. Feel free to speak your mind, Sanary. ...Though, if you're embarrased, well. Next time, you and Yari could just come over to my place."

A shrug. "And yeah, glad the morale is high on this boat. It's been a while since I just went fishing, so really nice to have a chance for this. ...Though, if either of you pull up a Pokemon, just let me know. It'll probably just be a Magikarp, but hey, catching some fish Pokemon would be useful. Plus, even though Magikarp are goldfish looking things, they get really powerful."

He just stares at the line, smiling, as he throws out a question, "...So. How did you two meet and start dating, anyways?"

Yari Takane (691) has posed:
Yari does have some mercy, thankfully, and she soon squeezes Sanary in a way she hopes is comforting.

"I think he just meant in general, Sanary." Then it's her turn to pause, tensing up, and her voice drops a touch.

"You'd...be alright with that?" Whisper Yari to Sanary, once more feeling like a lovestruck schoolgirl. Or an Eorzean.

For now Yari's just being support for the poor brain-melting Sanary, for once the less embarrassed of the pair. At least until Sanary gets to rod'ing!

Cue beer number three. Yari's going to need it at this rate. And likely a cold shower.

Yari perks up some too. "Mmm. Would your wife like to join us? A 'double date' as they call it. I could cook! I'd like to meet Miss Harp anyway." She does sound interesting, to be with Lute after all.

"Fishing is a wonderful passtime. It really helps get you connected with the world. It's so easy to lose track of things out here, to let your inner being just be soothed away by the sound of the water, and the primal struggle of man versus environemnt." Comes the soldier, belting out philosophy.

"We met during a meeting with Mister Murasame. The Lord Legatus and I had some business with the man, and Sanary and I met there. I believe it was Lord van Baelsar who suggested I meet other Confederates. Things took off from there." She looks Sanary in the eyes.

"...I didn't know what something like this felt like before. So I'm so glad I have someone I can be with." Comes the woman gently, before she remembers Lute's there. She freezes up, burying her renewed crimson face in booze.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Sanary seems to have calmed down considerably, even managing to watch her lure as it bobs in the water lightly. It's rather relaxing to watch, although she's still somewhat tense just in case there's actually a bite.

"E-even then. Kissing's one thing, but going further is..." She opens her mouth and shuts it, looking away for a moment to give Lute a long stare. "Are... Are you inviting us over to use your place for sex?" Instead of getting flustered by that, she actually laughs and shakes her head lightly, turning back to the water again. "That's up to Yari. Don't know if she'd be more comfortable at her place, my place, your place, in a... Somewhere else I can't think of right now." She swallows lightly and nods in response to Yari's question, her brain melting just a little bit more again once she realizes the implications of what she had just said.

Thankfully, Yari's changing of the subject does help the healer regain her composure again. "Harp's fun, too. Definitely should do that some day. I heard of these places where you can just buy some time and break everything in the room that might be fun."

Going quiet at the Au Ra's description of fishing, Sanary lets her describe their initial meeting while straightening up slightly at the eye contact. A broad grin crosses her face as she finishes, still embarrassed, but managing to keep her cool. "Yeah, it just kinda... Happened. I mean, I don't really know what I'm doing half the time, but if I can make you two happy? I'll keep winging it."

She doesn't even notice her lure starting to move.

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute laughs a bit heartily as Sanary just comes out and says that. "Well, not necessarily /sex/, but. You know, really? I get along well with you, Sanary. And Yari gets along with you. Hey, if Yari and I can get to know eachother well, who knows what'll happen? ...Though doesn't sound like you're /complaining/ at the idea."

"But yeah, we can meet up at my place sometime. Harp can come along, too. The more, the merrier. Hell, my place has been getting busy recently. Lots of people coming in and out all the time. Though, really? Both of you are welcome to stop in /whenever/ you feel like it, okay?"

He leans back a bit, smiling, "Well, glad you two found eachother. I mean no offense by this, Yari, but. You can be a little stiff sometimes. Getting to relax with Sanary and just not be career military? It could be good for you."

And then, he looks over, seeing Sanary's line. He pauses. Wait, is it moving?

"--Sanary, I think you've got a bite! Pull it in!"

Yari Takane (691) has posed:
Yari considers, then looks around the boat. "I think the tactical options in such a situation are limited. Too much visibility." Spoken just like a ninja.

"The Troopers usually utilize the showers for purposes like that." She notes, returning her gaze to the bobber as it dips up and down.

The woman considers. "I don't think the Lord Legatus would like me taking in outsiders unless it's on at least semi-official business. I would like to have dinner at Lute's however, with you, Lute, and Miss Harp though Sanary. We can go from there." She smiles just a bit more, clearly not bashful around the subject.

Pause. "Where /are/ you living right now, Sanary?"

Cue Yari smiling jsut as much.

"You do, Sanary. And you're already proving entertaining, Mister Lute. I'm really glad you two thought of this. I'd not have even considered." Really, the Au Ra's tail swishes, a sign of genuine contentment.

And Lute's words only have her flicking that tail more excitedly. "Absolutely, Sir! I won't even pick the lock." Damn ninjas!

But she does shake her head. "I'm a soldier at all times, Mister Lute, it's all that I've ever been. It's a little hard for me, but I /can/ relax." Pause.

"With a lot of effort and the right people." And copious amounts of alcohol.

"It's a skill I'm practicing, and even my morale officer has his concerns. So I'd appreciate it if you both would...teach me how to relax more easily."

A bite! Yari glances over, oooh'ing and watching Sanary go to work.

"Do not give up Sanary! Bring Glory and Honor to this great vessel of...fishing..." It doesn't quite have the ring to it she'd like.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
"So... That's exactly what you want us over for. Perv." Sanary can't help but snicker at that, a lighthearted sigh escaping her. "Starting to wonder if I'm any better, though. This is your fault, you know." That's about as far as she goes on that, the earlier embarrassment giving way to more amused chuckling. "Sounds like a plan. Just gotta figure out a time when everyone's free from work and classes and... Having too many people over."

There's another chuckle followed by more awkward stammering. Apparently, Sanary might very well be the most subdued one here. "Ah... I-I'm living in te Murasame Zaibatsu's... Place. They've got housing for employees and free showers and we don't even have to pay! Er.. N-not that I use the showers for...!" More stammering.

Humming softly to herself as she tries to calm herself down again, there's eventually another grin on the healer's face as she looks towards her line, finally noticing the movement. "Oh sh-" She starts tugging on the rod, drawing back slowly and putting her weight into trying to yank the thing out of the water.

"What the hell's with this fish?! Are you sure I can't just stab it?" Grunting heavily as she keeps struggling with trying to just pull it back, Sanary does a 180 and launches herself at the other end of the boat with the rod. With that added momentum, she's able to swing downward with the rod and fling a Magikarp out of the water into the air.

Unfortunately for her, she just so happens to turn at just the right moment for the fish Pokemon to collide with her face.

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute just smiles, "Ehhh, I doubt Gaius would mind us visiting your camp. Though, let's be honest, it could be embarrasing for you to be seen with two other people in front of your men. ...Though I do understand it being hard to relax. A lot of the people in the Confederacy have massive burdens on their shoulders. I have some, but they are managable. So if you ever need help lifting the burden a bit? I'm willing to help."

But, he takes a glance at Sanary, "Sex isn't why! Though, well. It /is/ in my mind as an option, but seriously. I just like hanging out with friends. Great distraction from the war. ...Or maybe you two can both be called girlfriends now? ...Eh, at least for Sanary."

A pause. He's reminded of something from earlier. What should Sanary call him? He chuckles.

"Though, I should note. If you two want, you can both call me by my real name. Miko has started calling me Logan instead of Lute, too. ...Though it might make her a /bit/ jealous."

But then, the Magikarp is pulled in. And, Lute's trainer instincts start acting. He never takes his eyes off the Magikarp once. His gaze is piercing. He quickly reaches into a pocket, and pulls out a Pokeball. And then, he says that famous shout.

     "Pokeball, go!"

And, he throws forward the Pokeball at the Magikarp, with rather expect aim and timing. Even though it is currently hitting Sanary's face.

Yari Takane (691) has posed:
Yari winks at Sanary as she passes by in search of more drink. If Lute or Sanary want any, they'd best grab some soon!

"The ones on the Citadel are better." Jabs the ninja, teasing the poor woman mercilessly. Then she perks up.

"Mmm! I'll check my orders. Reptilon and a few...ongoing events make things difficult. But I'm not going to get so swamped that I can't..." She trails off, watching the exchange between the two. Blushing a bit, she nearly drops her beer.

"You...really would, Lute? /Logan/. I...I...thank you. Both of you." She shakes her head, all of it being a little too much. She pauses, looking at Lute and Sanary alike with a slightly lost look. She doesn't know what to do.

And Lute only makes it /worse/.

"We...I guess we did go on a date, so...and we're /here/...I'd really like that, Sanary." Here, the poor ninja is a girl once more.

SUDDENLY FISH!

"If you do stab it, use the blunt end! Fight! Fight Sanary!" Cheers on the enthusiastic fisherlizardess.

And that fish is going for Sanary!

"You will not have my girlfriend, fish! FOR GARLEA!" The ninjette charges the flying magikarp, trying to bodily intercept the thing and pokeball alike! From her leaping angle, though, she could easily fall overboard. Or just knock herself /and/ Sanary over.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
From wwhat Sanary can figure, Yari and Lute certainly seem to be getting along rather well. It's a reassuring sight to her, and she returns the former's wink with a light snicker. The healer raises an eyebrow at Lute's offer to the Au Ra, her smile broadening slightly.

"Yeah... I guess that does make us girlfriends and boyfrien... -d, doesn't it?" The idea's rather appealing to her, and there's more amusement evident on Sanary's face at Yari's reaction to the whole thing.

The impact from the Magikarp, although not particularly painful compared to anything else, is still enough to send Sanary reeling for a moment. It's not every day she's smacked in the face with a fish, after all, and her intial surprise turns to irritation as she turns to glare at the offending creature.

"Son of a... Are you sure we can't eat this?" Even as she speaks, she only has enough time to see the Magikarp in mid-air while the Pokeball's flying in their general direction along with a Yari charging straight at her. Even with own strength aiding in catching them, being caught off guard in such a way and with uneven footing is still enough to send her overboard, possibly with Yari and the Magikarp in tow.

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute doesn't really have a chance to say and comment more. He's glad they both can think of him as a 'boyfriend', though. He's really thrilled by it. And he's still wondering when his luck will run out. But, at his count, he has four girlfriends right now. Not including his wife. It's quite rewarding.

But, then Sanary and Yari fall into the water, knocking the Magikarp in with them. Lute sighs, but he still acts fast. He reaches to the right side of his belt, grabbing a Pokeball. He knows by instinct which ball is which, and sends out the one most appropriate for this situation.

     "GO, TENTACRUEL!"

The Pokeball opens. Tentacruel lands in the water. And, using its multiple tentacles, it reaches to grab at Sanary and Yari. It wraps around the limbs and torso, to help support them. It lifts them into the air, getting ready to place them back on the boat. Sans Magikarp, of course.

Yari Takane (691) has posed:
Sanary's reaffirmation only has Yari mmm'ing and hissing in delight!

She snaps a salute, too!

"We'll bring glory and honor to...the concept of love itself!"

And then she's wet and flailing in the water, desperately trying to keep both herself and Sanary from drowning! Thankfully it's Lute to the rescue! Lute's pokemon applies squishy appendages to them, and the Au Ra all but squeaks as she's wrapped up alongside her girlfriend.

There's far too much wiggling and instinctive thrashing going about, the Au Ra /definitely/ not used to this sort of thing. Soaked and shivering as she is, covered in tentacles, this day has taken a tumble downwards.

"I...I hate tentacles!"

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Thankfully, Sanary has the wherewithal to not just sink like a rock. Years of wading in water and river training has prepared her for this exact type of situation, even!

Well, until the tentacles. Although she's confident enough in her own ability to swim and keep both herself and Yari above the water, she really has no idea how to react to being picked up by the Pokemon. "Freaking fish.. Ergh.. Y-you okay, Yari?"

There's a bit of laughing at first at just how thrashy the Au Ra is, although it does wear off soon enough once she realizes just how chilly it is between being soaked and being exposed to the air in little more than a life vest and tank top.

"O-okay. So... I think I get what you mean about not eating Pokemon now. Er. Thanks... K? Uh." She wiggles briefly as they're brought back towards the boat, giving one of the tentacles a light pat on the... Tentacle. "Sorry. I forgot the rest of the name."

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute just chuckles a bit, looking at the two. Yeaaah, that's... quite a predictament both of them are in. And he can't help but smile. He corrects Sanary on the name, though, "He's named Kaelin! No big deal, though, if you forget. I have lots of Pokemon!"

But, he gives a nod at Kaelin, just giving him the go ahead. Kaelin would sigh, but even without Lute having a mental link to him anymore? He knows what Lute wants.

And so Yari is lifted to Lute, first. As she is placed down, Lute moves to wrap his arms around her, pressing himself close to her, and then moving in for an incredibly deep kiss. He even slides his tongue a bit. And then, he of course, lets go.

And then he does exaclty the same to Sanary, though she probably sees it coming, and has more potential to fight Lute off for this.

Yari Takane (691) has posed:
And then Yari is back on the boat, freed of her squishy hell. The poor Au Ra looks utterly unnerved, /glaring/ back at the pokemon that just saved her.

"S...so squishy. Worse than a marlboro..." She mutters, completely out of sorts. Her tail is clinging to Sanary desperately, who for once seems so much more with it. Perhaps she has a tentacle phobia?

But then she's being pulled into a long, passionate kiss suddenly that wipes away her troubles. Yari just melts into that kiss for a moment before agressively fighting back, a war for dominance that is quickly concluded. She's a little breathless, but grinning.

"...A surprise ambush. Clever, Logan! You'll get yours soon!" The stiff words are softened by a playful look. And then she's looking to Sanary, practically taking notes as she watches the pair.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
"Kaelin, yeah. You really do have a lot of 'em, huh?" Sanary snickers lightly while giving the Tentacruel another pat on the appendage, reaching over to give Yari a reassuring pat on the tail from all the tugging. "Easy, Yari. Easy. You're safe now, just a little... Uh. Long things holding us."

She's eventually staring blankly at the two other non-Pokemon on the boat as Yari's brought in for the kiss. She seems conflicted on how to even react at first, her head tilting one way for a moment before going in the other direction. At least Yari doesn't look offended or anything. Did she enjoy that, even?

There's a pleased smirk on Sanary's face as that kiss concludes, although it's quickly replaced with surprised muffling as Kaelin moves her in for the next kiss with Lute. Unlike Yari, however, Sanary doesn't so much fight back for dominance as she just leans into the kiss, muffling a quiet noise into it while mimicking Lute's tongue actions. She's definitely getting more comfortable with it and with Yari watching them, staggering slightly once that kiss ends.

"N-not really sure what.. Um. What brought that on, but... Whatever. Everyone's good now? No... Um. Nothing missing or?" She sniffs once and glances between the two, still looking and sounding rather flustered while shuffling her feet anxiously. Moreso than before, even!

Lute (188) has posed:
As Yari starts to fight the kiss back, Lute lets her take dominance. Because, and this might be a surprise to many? But even though Lute is pushy, he /likes/ his women more aggressive. Plus, he won't force them to do anything they don't like. So he'll let her have control.

He smiles at Yari, though. Grinning, "Well, don't worry. I'll take it when it comes."

and, as he finally breaks the kiss with Sanary, he smiles, "Well, there doesn't /need/ to be a reason for stuff like this. It can just be for fun, you know? And, yeah, we're all here. Let's get back to fishing, though. Hopefully we can catch /something/ to bring back, without anyone falling in."

And, he moves to sit down in one of the chairs on the boat. Specifically, one where there is enough room for three. And, of course, he guides the other two to sit /with/ him, trying to perch himself in the middle.

This is basically one of his luckiest dates ever.
