Serori (37) has posed:
Welcome back to Earth-4555! It's another beautiful day on the Multiverse's favorite planet. Skies are blue, birds are singing, fair maidens are befriending forest critters --

CHAOS! Smoke blackens the skies above a small coastal city. Alarm sirens wail. Sparks pop from downed power lines and their transformers. Something has ripped through the region, leaving buildings leveled, and cars twisted into scorched shrapnel. Round, jagged craters have been carved out of the pavement, and grassy parks lie churned by giant clawed footprints. It looks almost like Godzilla's come walking through the region, except there's no sign of whatever caused the havoc.

The damage is visible from a good distance, of course. So's the sight of countless people fleeing the region in their vehicles or in their personal aircraft. Though the town's not a total loss -- far from it -- the citizens are nevertheless leaving as quickly as possible, guided by wailing police sirens and flashing red-and-blue lights.

Local broadcasts confirm a bit about what's happening. "Mysterious monster attacks Sebra City!" one announcer proclaims. "Citizens are being asked to evacuate the region at once," another voice continues on another station. Video footage displays shaky images of something hulking and reptilian flinging boulders down the streets. The scaled beast ducks its tusked jaw beneath a sizeable bus, and sends that flying, too. Before the bus can go more than a few feet, it explodes, throwing fire and hot metal shards in all directions while terrified people scream and try to flee. The recording topples sideways and cuts out as a man starts to cry for help.

"There has been no further sign of the monster since it vanished into a wide sinkhole near the coastline." The female voiceover is grim. "Officials are baffled, as the species is clearly not native to our world; nothing like it has ever been seen on Earth before! Though no official response has yet been released to the press, rumors are already flying that King Furry intends to solicit Union aid."

The attack's too recent; the danger's too fresh. Plans are still being made, not executed. Aside from the evacuation, word of the incident hasn't even left the planet, so it's no surprise that the Dragon Ball mission hasn't been derailed.

Yet.

You see, all that action's taking place a good fifteen or twenty miles away from the coordinates issued at the start of the mission. The Dragon Radar's led everyone out into the wilderness, to a mountain slope thick with talus rock and other potential hazards. The camera pans up the slopes. Higher and higher it goes, pushing through thick pine trees and lush undergrowth. Bunnies, birds, deer, and other animals hurry to get out of the camera's way. Some guy sporting a rocket launcher and wearing a hunter's safety orange vest gives a shout of surprise and ducks behind a tree for cover. More rocks are climbed as the camera gradually approaches the mountain's sharp peak.

There, at the very tippy-top, nestled in the center of a miniature dent, seemingly unguarded -- the Dragon Ball.

Too bad about that city in distress.

Serori's flight path nears the Dragon Ball's location as reports from Sebra City start to be heard. Exhausted, injured, and overworked, Serori disregards the news as yet one more annoyance. Who gives a crap if a monster's attacked? Dragon Balls are waiting to be found.

Ugh, but what a pain in the tail. After another report hits her about the ongoing evacuation, she sighs, slows her flight, and turns to look in the direction of Sebra City. With an irritable fingertip, she jabs her radio to life. "Does someone want to look into what the hell's happening over there? It sounds like innocents are at risk or something."

Dracula Vlad Tepes (83) has posed:
From the depths of Castlevania's dark, menacing holds, another servant of shadows has somehow been coaxed out of his solitude to trudge into this irritating quest. Exactly /how/ he's been drawn out is up for debate; perhaps Dracula simply ordered him, or maybe Serori bugged him until he gave a tremendous sigh of annoyance and slid out into the wonderful world outside. That's not exactly important, either way: what matters now is that Olrox is hovering just above the ground as he moves up the mountain's path, obscured from the bothersome sun by the trees above for the moment.

The Vampire Lord is as protected as ever, his entire body shielded by that strange purple armored suit with only an open front in his domed helmet to allow twin pinpricks of red to shine through the darkness. Theoretically, he could endure the sunlight under that armor for longer than most vampires, but the eternally dour man feels absolutely no desire to exert himself in this any more than he has to. Look, the ball's just at the top of this mountain, besides; all he has to do is float up there with the others and everything will be /fine/.

It's for exactly that reason that he doesn't even look back at the devastation off in Sebra City. His arms stay folded over his chest, and he just keeps floating through the forest, glaring straight ahead. His voice at least rasps through the radio with its usual grumbling irritation in response to Serori. "No. I'm certain someone else can go trudge over that way if they really wish. We're here for the ball, so let's just pick it up and get this over with."

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute doesn't trust the Union as far as he can throw them. Granted, he can throw them pretty far. Especially if Mr. Crabs is doing the throwing for him. But, this is completely besides the point. The point of the matter is, Lute really does not trust the Union. Far too many times have they lured him, specfically, into traps. As such, even though this is supposed to be a simple Dragon Ball retrieval mission? He's come packing as much firepower as he possibly can.

Which is why a completely unrelated giant monster is /also/ walking across the landscape. Where as most are simply walking, flying, or whatever through the pine trees? Mr. Crab is tearing a path, as the eighty meter tall Kaiju walks towards the mountain. Serori, and many of the others, are probably faster than this creature. Nonetheless, it's still making a relatively easier path for people to approach, due to the fact that it is clearing a straight line through the forest.

Lute himself is on top of Mr. Crabs, standing tall. His labcoat flows in the wind. His midriff, bared for all to see. He hears the comments on the radio about the giant monster attack from off world. A pause. No, this can't possibly mean Mr. Crabs. Mr. Crabs is /known/ to this world, as the hero of the WMAT. Or, at least, as the complete heel who stomped on Mr. Satan. So no, it can't be him.

Several other creatures are with him. Imima, his I-Class Destroyer, is floating along the land behind Mr. Crabs, a purple ribbon kept on its head with a magnet. In the Sky, Lute has about twenty Unown. They're flying in a V-formation, working recon. If any of the Unown see something of note, they'll instantly relay the message to Lute.

Lute ponders to himself. A serious look on his face. If there /is/ an off world giant monster present, or even if it was of this world, he'd be really tempted to approach it and try and tame it. But, the Dragon Ball mission takes priority. And so, for now, he'll just stick with everyone else.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
After a brief recovery period, axe healer Sanary Rondel is ready for action once more! Or... As ready as she can be, considering what had happened the night before. There's badly done patches peppering her coat where she had gotten shot, and her head is still bandaged up. Still, her laughs sound sound confident enough even while she's squirming in a seat aboard the aircraft.

"Ah, fighting a big ol' dinosaur doesn't sound so bad. Wouldn't mind stretching my legs a bit!" Another round of too-loud laughter erupts from the healer, trembling more while keeping the Magitech eye deactivated for the time being. It's almost as if she's trying too hard to sound calm.

     She just /really/ hates flying.

Vegeta (663) has posed:
Vegeta is standing on a roof in the city, not bothering to fly -down-. He's known in this world too. And short of the androids who entirely ravaged the planet, he's probably one of the most depised people to ever live here. So he's staying largely out of sight, but watching for Toph, Pepper, and Ayako as instructed.

Pepper Potts (204) has posed:
Giant monsters, dead dinosaurs, dragon balls, dead fiances, finances probate and a great big headache regarding one of Tony's tilapia projects getting a couple of goldfish thrown in by a prankster, it's been a hell of a week already -- and it's only Monday.

Potts, however, isn't about to go and let Tony's parting gift to her just sit and rust. After a little searching, she's arrived on the scene. INside the suit, her face is aglow inside with the HUD. The RESCUE suit sweeps by, silver and crimson catching the light off the flying boat, turning her head briefly to acknowledge the Confederates onboard before she zips forward to the city proper.

And tries to remember to not be claustrophobic.

Ayako Hasekawa has posed:
A certain water spirit dressed like a witch was on her way to the coordinates of the Dragon Ball, but of course, nothing in the Multiverse is ever that simple. Ayako Hasekawa yanks back on the handle of the broomstick she's riding on once she listens to the radio. "Umm... I'll go check on the city! I mean... it sounds like you all have things under control where you all are."

A bit of the twisting of the broomstick later, Ayako flies in the direction of Sebra City. She was enroute to the Dragon Ball's coordinates, but she's still far away-but quite close to the city! Hopefully the monster isn't still hanging around somewhere!

Lute (188) has posed:
And, with the orders from the radio, Lute sighs. Oh well. At the least, odds are, nothing will happen with the Dragon Ball /itself/. Still, though, Mr. Crabs is now running, full speed, towards the city. And Lute speaks into his radio, contacting the world's military via the local frequencies for such.

"HEY, this is Logan 'Lute' Trieste! Mr. Crabs, the HERO TO EVERY CHILD, is heading towards teh city where the Monster Attack happened. We're going to try and help deal with it, alright?"

And Lute flicks back his hair. He speaks now, to himself, "Time to be a big damn hero."

Raditz (486) has posed:
Raditz is here. He's in the Dragon Ball mission just like the Feds. He'd like to get the Dragonballs collected and over with. The entire Reptilon Debacle was bringing the Union and Confederacy more and more together as a big happy exploration mission.

The Saiyan glances down to the Dragon Radar that he's got on him, since he's been one of the head guys on the Dragonball Search for the Union. "Looks like the ball is about that way..." He glances over his shoulder, and grumbles, "Seriously? Do we need to have this happen now?" He grumbles, and turns to look back in the general direction of Serori and friends.

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
Until recently the hunt for the Dragon Balls was no big deal.

Now they are the main priority of a certain earthbender.

Upon the information that another Dragon Ball has been located Toph Beifong sets out without hesitating, and soon enough she arrives on Earth-4555. According to her radio the coordinates are near that huge mountain. Which is not in the same way as the city and that huge monster that is putting the citizens in danger.

Damnit, this is totally not a time she wants to be put in such a dilemma.

Even if she herself knows what she would rather do, what is most important to her, there's that thing referred to as a conscience. Enough people have already died.

And then there's the order. Besides, they all want to go get the Dragon Ball. Right now the monster might be a bigger threat.

So the blind earthbender makes her way to the city, even as she is aware of just how quick it would be to turn and scale the mountain, to tear it down with her bending...

Arriving at the city Toph nears the sinkhole, using her seismic sense to get a better 'look' at the monster. It's not like the others will get to know just what is going on, and well, the news reports earlier wouldn't tell her much about just what this thing looks like. And if it's still underground, perhaps she can do something about it.

Maya has posed:
Maya had not said a word with the coverstion with Kakarot the other night. She knows others are after the drafgon ball she knows that there's been a deal made over them and there's a monster rampaging. She has her plans of what she'll do she listens to the eadio and is of the mind there's enough people on the ball, heck she trusts Raditz to make sure things go find with the feds. She's not talked to him in a long time but like herself? They been through some hell together, right? Either way she's now trying to track the monster and is peering at the sink hole. She'll stay top side, as Toph is going to be pretty much in her element down there.

Noble Six (38) has posed:
For as little as Lute trusts the Union, Noble Six probably trusts the Confederacy even less. And yet she has come out here to represent the Union on these dragon ball retreival. Unfortunately it would seem that their plans to get the ball are being interrupted by the arrival of a giant monster. She knows they need to ensure the recovery of the Dragon Ball first and foremost, but the people of the city dying are important, even if they're not her people.

The ship Noble Six is piloting is pretty heavily armed, and she turns it away from the coordinates directing them towards the Dragon Ball and sets her sights on the city itself. The last thing she wants to do is allow Lute to tame this thing and add another weapon to his arsenal. And as much as it annoys her to think that she's handing the ball off to Serori, that's been the plan the whole time. So she flies towards the city, pushing the ship to full speed.

Yari Takane (691) has posed:
BALL TEAM: Yari is here, likely in a transport near the flying saiyan colonel. It's a tiny blocky vessel used as a small dropship for Elite personelle. Yari has a parachute on, ready to leap out for when they actually find the dragon ball.

She keys up her radio, an eye on her magitek gauntlet, seeking out signs of aetheric energy that /might/ help them find the dragon ball. Just in case that radar doesn't help.

Serori (37) has posed:
"We've got exclusive footage of the monster assault on Sebra City!" Another female newscaster stares into the camera lens, appearing intense and serious as she reads from her teleprompter. "Moments before our very own Channel Five traffic chopper was blown out of the sky by some kind of projectile, we were sent these images -- "

The sinkhole's pretty big. The monster's pretty big, too. At least forty feet long, judging from the blurry shot, and comprised entirely of hulking muscles supporting even bigger plates of natural armor, the green-tinted beast isn't anything like one of Earth's dinosaurs. Three massive claws on each foot carve deep furrows and cracks through the pavement. Its club-like tail is in a strike position, lashing at the air. Simmering heat wafts up from its heavy jaws. The monster's smoldering chin supports the incredible weight of two forward-thrusting tusks with razor-sharp tips and cleaver-like edges.

A hateful, furious gleam is in its eyes as it descends into the gaping sinkhole opened by the ruckus. As the photos change, flipping forward in time to reveal the monster's steady descent into the city's depths, the brutish beasts turns its head to look right at the helicopter camera. Its next move is only a half-seen blur covered up by passing smoke. It appears to thrust its tusks into the pavement and earth. An instant later, the boulder cradled between its tusks erupts into magma-like heat, and the entire flaming mass is pitched at the helicopter.

Static.

MONSTER TEAM --

Toph stands on the lip of a sinkhole that's way deeper than it looked on film. Down and down and down it goes, opening up to a depth that could easily swallow a ten-story-building or more, and maybe has, judging by the look of things. In addition to all the ruin and rubble, the sinkhole's marked by clawed footprints no doubt belonging to the monster. Those footprints descend into pitch blackness.

Aside from the surface-level vibrations of a city in chaos, Toph senses nothing from her current position. Everyone's going to have to go spelunking if they wanna find this bad boy!

Ayako and anyone else interested in helping the citizenry will have their hands full. Though the evacuation has been pretty successful, there are plenty of wounded to rescue. Cries from help come in almost all directions. How will Ayako decide who to help first? What about anyone else not interested in descending into a monster pit?

BALL TEAM --

Serori pulls a sour face as she turns away to resume her hunt for the Dragon Ball. Once Raditz gets close enough, she falls into position beside and slightly behind him, her weaker side turned toward him. "It's not that far from here," she mutters, gesturing ahead with the Dragon Radar. "Lead the way. Lord Olrox! Try to keep up, huh?!"

At least she gets the pleasure of harassing /that/ guy. It's about the only good thing to come out of this mission, so far.

The mountain peak doesn't look too treacherous at a glance. As described, it's almost idyllic. Nicely wooded, it offers a great habitat to the native species, and a lot of opportunity for enterprising hunters, too. Like that guy with the rocket launcher that nobody noticed. Who hunts with a rocket launcher, anyway?

BAD GUYS, THAT'S WHO.

And that's when someone shoots a rocket at Raditz. Serori and Yari are close enough to Raditz to be in danger, too!

Raditz (486) has posed:
Rockets? Really? You're not even trying man. Raditz blinks as a rocket is shot at him, and without even blinking too hard at it, the draws a hand back to gather a small handful of energy, and flings it at the Rocket to blow it out of the sky.
"Rockets? Really? Is this how this is going to start? Come on! What power level is that, a five?" Raditz complains, and glares down at the person who shot at him, and says, "Do I have to tell you to run?"

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Sanary takes a moment to regain her bearings as she descends from the aircraft, savoring the sweet sweet feeling of solid ground underneath her. She'll.. Get over it sooner or later. Probably later.

She doesn't waste too much time recovering, at least, and reaching the rest of the MONSTER GROUP is a simple enough matter. Finding them isn't even that hard, either, due in no small part to the giant crab, the giant hole, and the general destruction. That might have had a little something to do with that.

"ALright. What's the plan? I'll.. Uh. I'll follow your guys' lead." She adjusts her bandages quickly and keeps a hand on the gunaxe handle tied to her side, the Magitech eye working double time to scan the surrounding area for anything (relatively) out of the ordinary.

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
Indeed, this seems like it's going deep down. Crouching down, Toph touches the ground with her hand, closing her eyes as she senses for any vibrations that would betray the location of the monster. But no. A heavy sigh leaves her, and the earthbender notes the remains of claws scraping up the sides of the sinkhole. This might be bad. But even so, the others are not earthbenders. It might be dark down there, and they will need her bending. So she steps forward and kicks into the ground, bending an earthen plate on the side of the sinkhole. And after stating her intent on the radio, she steps onto the earthen plate, stomps her heel and sends it rushing downwards into the depths and darkness.

Lute (188) has posed:
As Mr. Crabs approaches the city, his running pace slows down to a walk. He simply moves in through the city streets, Lute being careful to guide him through a route where there are a lot less people. And Lute stands tall, smiling. He shouts out, to the people of the city.

"HAVE NO FEAR! Mr. Crabs, the being STRONGER THAN MR. SATAN, is here! Get out of here peacefully, citizens, and your city will be saved!"

Mr. Crabs keeps walking forward, to the hole. Lute, under some circumstances, would be the first one to go in. But, he'd rather risk the immortal Vegeta going in first. Besides, despite /how/ large the hole is, Mr. Crabs is definitely bigger than the creature itself was.

But, an idea crosses Lute's mind. He closes his eyes. Two of his Unown start to fly into the hole, at high speeds. Searching, obviously, for the monster.

Noble Six (38) has posed:
The SPARTAN pilot brings her craft around to where the sink hole is, just in time to see whatever is down in there blast the news helicopter out of the sky. She mutters ab it to herself, "Activating shields and entering holding pattern." She flips a switch on the craft and a shimmering blue shield fades into view for a moment before it vanishes.

She swoops low over where the helicopter had been. She might be trying to bait out another shot from the creature, lets see if it can hit something a lot faster. She still thinks they're best bet would be to fill the hole with missiles and collapse the entire thing onto the monster.

Dracula Vlad Tepes (83) has posed:
Count Olrox is not a man who enjoys being /ordered/, even by someone he accepts is at least equal to him. His helmet-covered head abruptly jerks to face Serori so he can level an irritated glare right at her, but that's about all he offers as a sign of his annoyance. He still needs to play nicely...even if he doesn't /want/ to.

That said, despite Olrox's disdain for those around him, he still knows that he needs to take care of them. He can't just let the people on his team /die/. It's for that reason that, after the rocket goes flying into the air, Olrox hardly takes a second to move into action.

Sharp, curved blades like scythes emerge from his sleeves as he suddenly whirls around to where he suspects the source of the rocket to be. He can't see whoever fired it right now, sure, but with some powers, one doesn't need to.

The vampire's arms quickly uncross, and from the slash of his arm blades flies an X-shape of cutting blue energy in a straight line toward the rocket's origin. Trees are carved through like a hot knife through butter; if that mysterious assailant doesn't move out of the way, he'll have to deal with the same!

Ayako Hasekawa has posed:
Ayako, of course, once she arrives in the city goes for the first person she can get to when she hears a cry for help. She hops off her broom quickly and begins treating the wounded with Healing Water. Rubble gets pushed up and unstable ground is patched up by ice seeming to form out of thin air.

Still, there's so many that need help! She's only one person, but... Ayako glances around quickly. Are there any busted water main pipes around? Fire hydrants? Any water around could help out a lot!

Vegeta (663) has posed:
Vegeta grunts, then jumps from the roof and straight down into the hole. He doesn't bother controlling his descent with flight, nor does he seem particularly afraid of what may be down there, immortality or not.

Maya has posed:
Monster Team

Maya's now moving in after the monster, well trying to deal with things top side for the moment nothing seem to be up. Maya is moving to aid the citizens however she's helping with the wounded putting her healing magic to work, so they can get up and get moving. She's going to focuys on those who can be helped to get moving quickly so she can then focus on others, she's not along and every bit helps right?

Serori (37) has posed:
MONSTER TEAM --

WHOOOOOOOOSH. Toph's earthen plate plunges into the darkness. Behind her, two Unown follow along, diving after Toph with almost as much speed she manages to achieve. Vegeta's next to brave the sinkhole, and he soon catches up to the fiery Earthbender. Together, the three run recklessly into...the JAWS OF A TERRIBLE TRAP! Dun dun dunnn!

Cue the music shift -- https://youtu.be/QmLAtAOlz4s

Explosive boulders start zinging through the air, each aimed at Toph, Vegeta, and the Unown. Though their aiming is crude, their blasts aren't -- each KABOOM contributes to a further destabilization of the sinkhole's walls, and also sends searing hot ash and shrapnel flying in all directions! Some o of the blast radius manages to fire up through the sinkhole's opening, too, endangering Lute and anyone else clustered around, like Mister Crabs, and Sanary, and Noble Six's ship. These aren't just fireworks, either; the boulders blow apart with some real ferocity, suggesting that whoever or whatever's lobbing the missiles has a seriously raging hate-on for anything stinking of heroism.

The glow cast by each boulder illuminates the sinkhole's depths in passing orange flashes. As the party continues to descend, what awaits them becomes increasingly clear. That grotesque, club-tailed behemoth is just waiting for his prey to fall into his ugly maw...

Ayako and Maya have a somewhat safer time of things. The damage to the city isn't quite as thorough as it appeared to be from the news reports, and there are still quite a few city blocks that are structurally-sound enough to provide a safe haven to anyone seeking shelter. It's a matter of finding those people, though, and that's where the real work enters into things. How can two ladies lift up huge chunks of rubble and rescue hundreds of wounded? Well, it's a good thing these are Multiversal ladies with a Pepper Potts on their side.

As for water, there's plenty around. Lots of busted water mains and more than one knocked-over fire hydrant provide a constant flow of the stuff.

The first wreckage the rescue team comes to is an upside-down vehicle half-covered by a parking garage's crumpled roof. There are also more vehicles trapped, and more than one is either beeping for help, or muffling the cries of people stuck inside.

"News flash! Heroes from across the stars have reported to Sebra City! Why, the legendary Mister Crabs is already there, providing assistance to those in need! Surely his incredible strength will be enough to help the poor people who were unable to evacuate!" The radio broadcast flickers to another frequency. "The military is on its way to Sebra City, responding to reports of a giant monster attack! King Furry has ordered a full deployment to assist with evacuation and rescue!"

BALL TEAM --

The rocket's deflected, but its source isn't so easy to stop. Lord Olrox's retaliatory strike bounces harmlessly off the safety vest worn by the -- oh, who am I kidding. The guy's obliterated, rocket launcher and all. A tree topples sideways to even bury the guy's remains in pine needles and fragmented bark.

Unfortunately, there's a dozen or more like him hiding out in the woods, all laid out in tactical positions. As Serori arcs toward the mountaintop, two mortars spring up from somewhere in the forest to loose their payloads in a screaming mass. Startled, the one-armed saiyan recoils to start knocking things out of the air, but she was serious when she said she was wiped! It's easier to take shelter behind Raditz than it is to fight her own battles today, so she mostly attempts to stick close to him, and to Lord Olrox's dubious protections.

Serori (37) has posed:
So, right. There's a bunch of 'em -- these redneck-looking mountain men in orange vests with firearms there's no way they should be able to afford. A few more pop out with machine guns to fire like crazy in Olrox's direction. Another half dozen shoulder-mounted rocket launchers fire at Yari's ship. It goes all haywire over here, real quick, but at least the Dragon Ball is safe and sound on its perch.

Vegeta (663) has posed:
Vegeta immediately flies down to try and grab Toph by the collar, staring down at the monster as he immediately begins floating above it. "Toph, I have a plan. I'll turn into a giant ape, you earthbend and make sure the city doesn't collapse."

Dracula Vlad Tepes (83) has posed:
One down...a dozen to go. Joy and rapture.

Olrox hears the discharges of firearms before he can react to them, but at least his armor holds up. Purple metal of supernatural origin is pinged and dented by bullet after bullet, sometimes punctured to pierce into the dessicated flesh beneath, but Olrox hardly flinches. He turns his head to the bizarre assault of mountain men and stares at them with eyes of piercing red, and a moment later begins rushing up the hill to them, trailing fading blue afterimages of his form behind him.

Yes, he crashes into more bullets on the way, but as the vampire slips through trees and branches, he doesn't seem to care. In fact, the sound of bones popping and flesh stretching and metal fusing to skin is distinctly starting to /not/ sound like it's coming from the bullets.

Suddenly, reptilian feet smash into the earth, each large enough to crush a car. A lizard's hand on a lanky arm lashes out to grab a tree and /snap/ it out of the way like a twig. A green tail lashes aside to turn another trunk to splinters. A head like a skull with sharp fangs and beady eyes sunken into its sockets opens its mouth in a strange, gurgling howl, leading the form of a bizarre lizard-demon easily more than twenty feet tall.

It's in this true form of his that Olrox barrels toward the mountain men, bullets cracking into iron scales, trees and undergrowth smashed beneath his claws...and soon the men too, if they aren't quick to get out of the way.

Lute (188) has posed:
As the explosions start blasting out of the hole, Lute firmly plants himself flat on Mr. Crab's head, letting Mr. Crabs act as as a shield for himself. Lute grimmaces, especially as the two Unown are hit by explosives. He sees enough; for some reason down below is filled with traps, and the giant mouth of a hungry creature.

Lute gives orders on the radio. He has no idea /if/ Toph or Vegeta will listen to his plan. But if they do, he hopes the teamwork between the two of them can get the monster out of its home, and two the surface. For now, Lute just stays near the top of the hole, looking down, and considering. He ends up pondering to himself, "...If the beast is hungry, we /could/ feed it. Or... Offer it food, if it can understand language..."

Lute, just so he can act like he is doing something, reaches into a pocket. And he pulls out a PokePuff. Which is basically a Macaroon.

And he tosses it down the hole, with all the skills of a Pokemon Master. Hoping that it'll get in the creature's mouth.

And then he yells down into the hole, "HEEEEY! We have plenty of food for you! I can feed you some whole cows if you want! Cows taste better than people! I don't know about these /other/ people, but I'm here in peace! I want to help all of you!"

Raditz (486) has posed:
Raditz narrows his eyes as he watches Olrox just begin to try to obliterate dudes, and after consideration of what to say in response, he just sighs and floats on down to the Dragonball's Perch, presuming nobody tries to shoot him, he just drops to the ground and walks on over to the item.

Presuming he can get to the Dragonball uninterrupted, he aims to just walk on over and pluck it from its perch. However, if anyone steps into his way... Well, he just waits for it.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Now that just isn't going to stand. Getting chided by Serori's one thing, but being called /short/, too? Sanary takes cover behind a conveniently located pile of rocks as the monster's initial blast escapes the hole, waiting a few seconds to make sure her gunaxe is loaded with those Ice shells she's been favoring. Afterwards, she approaches the hole and peers into it skeptically before glancing back at Lute and Mister Crabs.

"This is... Uh. This is gonna suck, ain't it?" Without waiting for his response, she takes her first steps into the hole and braces her right hand against the ground before sliding herself down. It's a little too fast for her to get comfortable, but at least she's getting down there at a steady pace.

As she keeps sliding downwards, she keeps her eye open and the gunaxe gripped tightly in hand while watching out for Vegeta, Toph, the monster, or even more exploding... Explosions.

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
As soon as the first blasts go speeding up past them Toph blinks, feeling the heat and the vibrations through the earth around them as the walls shake and earth falls off, dropping down into the waiting maw below. Just as Toph is about to do something about it, she feels herself grabbed, and her eyes widen as she cries out in surprise, not expecting to be picked up by somebody /flying/. "LET GO OF ME!" she shrieks, though she got a 'glimpse' of the beast below and knows better than to outright attack Vegeta. And it seems like Lute isn't too dense when he figures out what to do only about... five seconds after her? Toph throws her arms out to the side, and a hole opens up into the side of the sinkhole before Toph swings her legs towards it. And as Vegeta lets go Toph flings herself through the air, her fingers digging into the earth as she /pulls/ herself to safety. Is that a quiet sigh leaving her as she is finally able to get a sense of what is going on around her?

    Stupid dunderheads...!

She mutters before she rises to her feet. "What the crud does he think I was supposed to do anyway? Sing for it?" she mumbles to herself in an irritated fashion. Her hands slam into the sides of her hole, and she concentrates, fingers digging more into the earth as the area around them begins to shake and quiver... and the walls underneath the monster begins moving. For now Toph is doing her best to push the creature upwards to the surface!

Ayako Hasekawa has posed:
MONSTER TEAM

Ayako hops back onto her floating broomstick once she notices a nearby busted water main. She flies over to it quickly and thrusts her hands into the gushing water. It's water that would normally be wasted, so she might as well use it herself!

In a moment, another Ayako hops out of stream of water! Of course, the vain water spirit wouldn't shape water into anything less when she needs to spread out. Appearance and attitude is all part of bedside manner when attending to the wounded, after all! Did I mention she's vain about this sort of thing? Because she is. Although this Ayako has blue eyes instead of the normal Ayako's amber eyes.

Of course, Ayako doesn't make just one. She make several! But they never really go too far away from the amber-eyed Ayako. At least, this way she can treat several people at once! "Uuu... I'm going to be so tired tonight..."

Her advance does get stopped by the wreckage she encounters, though. "Hmm... how to best handle this?" Ayako wonders outloud-only to get a LOT of responses from her many blue-eyed Ayakos. "No no! I'm talking to mys-thinking out loud!" She has to correct herself in mid-sentance! "Hmm... the roof first, then..." And ice begins to form to stabilize and support the crumbled roof.

Once the roof is stabilized, she works at getting the people trapped in the wreckage out and healing them!

Vegeta (663) has posed:
While Vegeta is pretty sure he could take the monster as he is now, it'll be far easier to restrain it if he was large himself. So he holds his hand out, forming a small white ball of light, then tosses it directly above the hole.

When he stares up at it, he can feel his heart beating quickly, and soon his entire body starts to expand, stretching his armor and all. He simply allows himself to fall again, and tries to grapple the monster, attempting to make it a little easier for Toph to raise it up. He tries to raise it with flight himself, though this is definitely not easy in such a confined space.

Maya has posed:
Monster Team.

Maya is very glad to have Pepper Potts lending a hand here, even with her magical abilities this is going to be some doing, but as a child once said to an old man about saving washed up sea life. It matters to those I saved even if I can't save them. Is how she operates, she should have brought runner but there had been no time to collect him. So she'll continue doing what she can, she'll also keep an eye out for people who are pinned, as that's going to take some work on her part, or her flagging down Pepper to lend a hand where needed.

"Ayako if you need anything let me know!"

Maya calls out before she goes back to work.

She pauses seeing what Ayako is up to and is going to attempt provide her with some water, from a quick spell cast.

"Here use this Ayako."

Maya then channels her spell blue fire bleeding from her body and into the

Yari Takane (691) has posed:
ROCKETS! Unfortunately, as is typical, Yari's transport is highly vulnerable to rocket fire. KABOOM! The pilot can't swerve away in time, and Yari's ship goes listing horribly. The Centurion herself is knocked flat, ninja reflexes /not/ helping in the face of explosives in enclosed spaces. Coughing and woozy from her head colliding with a very, very hard bar, she makes her way over to the pilot's compartment.

"Pilot! Perform an emergency lan..."

The sight that greets her in the cabin is a lot of wind, a smashed and busted windshield and console, and the pilot's face turned into a black crisp. He doesn't move.

Yari keys up her radio, growling, then looking to the massive hole rent in her ship.

With a deep breath, she takes a leap, and falls towards the mountainous earth! She lets out the parachute at a frankly obscenely low altitude, hopefully sparing her any potshots from their small arms fire.

It /doesn't/ spare her from a very, very rough landing to the ground, as she drops into a roll that horribly messes with her mending ribs. She bites her armored hand, and then, up she goes. She first ducks from any rock outcroppings, to outcropping before she can get to the woods where the hillbillies, constantly staying behind cover and using all of her ninja speed to avoid detection.

When she nears the woods? Up into the heaviest trees she can find does the ninjette go, soon leaping from tree-to-tree trying to get behind that mortar team that's shelling Serori. A kunai in her hand, she'll toss it, before in a flash of hand-seals, the offending explosives-lovers may just find a good thirty kunai rushing down at them from behind, all covered in numbing poisons.

Noble Six (38) has posed:
The SPARTAN's ship does a quick turn in order to evade the lava balls that are flying out of the crater. Rolling the ship around she tries to bring it back so she has a view of the monster. She also almost hits an artificial moon as she does so.

"What the hell?!" She pulls up on the stick, scraping the paint of the bottom of the ship as she skids along the artificial moon's surface, barely clearing it as she recovers, "Freaking Saiyans.." She mutters to herself, trying to pull away and find a better angle.

Serori (37) has posed:
MONSTER TEAM --

Ysabel Thibault could tell you what's lurking in the deeps.

Toph and Vegeta come face-to-face with the ugly end of a Tetsucabra. A snarly native from Wyveria, the Tetsucabra comes in two variaties, one more amicable than the other. The more common type is brutish, but less savage, and more given to logic and reason in its attacks. Though prone to throwing boulders around, the standard Tetsucabra has no natural affiliation for flame. It's got a temper, sure, but not one that's half so fiery as what this green-scaled variety has put on display.

Mottled and green as a mossy forest floor, the other kind of Tetsucabra is known by Hunters as the more fearsome of the two. It is highly aggressive, extremely territorial, and will -- like just about anything else in Wyveria -- fight to protect whatever region it deems its own. In addition to being one hell of a grumpus, this other Tetsucabra has a reputation well-suited to its horrible name.

Berserk Tetsucabra.

As soon as the ground shifts beneath its feet, the monster searches for the source of the disturbance. It also begins to attack. Its clawed feet dig at the rising ground. Its tusks carve up another boulder to charge full of heat. It growls, snorts, and bellows, its clubby tail striking the ground multiple times.

Before it can decide exactly who to hit, however, a bigger target presents itself -- Vegeta. The Berserk Tetsucabra flings its explosive boulder at the great ape, and then releases a roar that's loud enough to stun the ears of anyone in proximity.

It then charges the nearest wall with impossible speed, driving its armored shoulder with wrecking ball force into the sinkhole's crumbling walls. The entire structure rumbles. Perilous!

Outside, Ayako and her clones get to work, forming icy columns to lift the damaged parking garage into order. Many wounded are pulled to safety through Ayako's efforts, all of them babbling their gratitude to their strange-looking savior. Most wounds are pretty minor, here, so Ayako doesn't have to waste a lot of energy healing anything more critical than a concussion!

Maya, on the other hand, will turn her head just in time to see a nearby apartment building start to collapse. Someone's up on a balcony holding on for dear life! She needs help -- fast -- and Pepper's taken up with other heroics! Can Ayako and Maya work together to divine a solution?!

Meanwhile, Noble Six is in good position to see the angry beast continuing its unwilling ascent! Pretty soon, it'll be in firing range...

BALL TEAM --

Olrox's little rampage clears quite the path for Yari's safe landing. As the lizard-vampire starts to plow through the orange-vested mountain men -- knocking their firearms, normal arms, and bearded faces astray to equally destructive and gruesome results -- he doesn't meet much opposition. Not until That Guy shows up.

That Guy is literally a bear man. That Guy is big enough to wrestle four bears at once. That Guy charges at Lord Olrox, and tries to catch him in a big ugly hug. "GUYS! I GOT ONE! I GOT A KYE-JUU!"

What?

That's when poisons start creeping through the area, powered by Yari's kunai. Anyone who meant to stand up and cheer on That Guy falls back gasping and gagging in horror. Most of 'em start flopping around, completely unable to feel their limbs. Only a few on the outskirts remain upright enough to determinedly toss grenades after Yari.

Up on the mountain top, meanwhile, Raditz picks up a Dragon Ball.

He'll find a string attached to it.

Pulling up the Dragon Ball makes something in the nearby distance go POMF. There's a hiss of something like compressed air, followed by an incredible series of bangs.

A nearby trebuchet constructed of timber logs rockets up through its full range of motion, and flings out a giant -- I mean GIANT, really really big -- it's a really big weighted net. And it's coming right for Raditz.

Serori watches from a few feet away, rubbing the back of her head in confusion.

Vegeta (663) has posed:
Vegeta pulls a tiny capsule from his vest with the very tips of his fingernails, then tosses it to Toph. Of course he's aware that she likely won't be able to catch it, so he promptly covers it in ki, causing it to slowly float until it presses against her long enough to grab.

"The scouter is in the capsule!" he yells up, then immediately tries to grab the creature and open his mouth, ROARRRRING, as he releases a large beam of white at its back. "Pay attention or you'll die, monster!"

Sanary Rondel has posed:
And then she lands on Vegeta. Or, rather, on giant ape Vegeta. Still, landing on the massive Saiyan is infinitely preferrable to landing on the hole or in the monster's mouth. Gripping onto his armor tightly, the healer straps the gunaxe back to her belt before focusing her magical energy even as they're rapidly rising.

"Hell if I know where to focus on, but..." Drawing in a sharp breath, she starts pouring healing energy into Vegeta's back at a steady pace, trying to spread it through him to speed up his natural healing process drastically. He's grappling with a...

... A Tetsucabra? It doesn't look right if the pictures on the mission board have been any indication, though, and this one definitely isn't red enough to be the same type of creature. Cringing at the roar emitted from the beast, she loses her grip momentarily before managing to grab back onto Vegeta, this time around the armor at the back of his waist. Cursing silently to herself, she steadies herself while trying to get a clear look at the giant-mouthed monstrosity as energy starts to flow into the Magitech eye.

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
    Okay, that thing is grumpy.

Toph grunts as she feels the thing, whatever it is, become even angrier. As large as it is it's not exactly friendly to anything around it, and one thing is for certain; the whole city will crumble at this rate unless something is done about it. Luckily the earth blocks out some of the noise from the behemoth, but still, Toph winces and finds herself unable to fully concentrate for a moment as her sensitive ears ring painfully from that loud roar. Even as she clenches her eyes shut, she does feel what the Tesucabra is doing, the vibrations carrying easily through the ground. The blind earthbender shifts her hands, determination settling on her features...

And she braces herself as she concentrates, working her iron will on the sinkhole to keep it and the city steady, to keep it from crumbling and harming the others. She can always get out easily, but the others? They all have to work together to handle this big beast! It's a gargantuan task however, and for now she's unable to do anything else, and the effort is already starting to show as perspiration coats her forehead. Though she is aware of something being tossed into the hole. And since it's made of metal, it doesn't take much. Toph extends her hand briefly, and the capsule opens and she finds the scouter flying into her hand. "Stupid things..." she mutters, not really getting /why/ they want her to wear it, but she does manage to put it on, turning her head towards where the monster is as she digs her hand back into the earth next to her and focuses on bending the earth around them and keeping it all from falling apart.

Dracula Vlad Tepes (83) has posed:
Oh, if only things could be as simple as knocking a few dozen mountain men aside like rats. The trees snap and crash, the earth shatters...and suddenly Olrox is taken up in the crushing embrace of a bear among men.

    "What is - ?!"

His arms are bound, his tail lashes, his legs are suddenly lifted off the ground. That Guy has him bound hard and fast, and whatever this 'kye-juu' thing he's talking about is, he's clearly prepared to deal with them. How will Olrox ever get out of this mess?!

Fortunately, while his neck may be rather short, it's still quite flexible. With another gurgling hiss, Olrox cranes his neck around That Guy's shoulder to look behind him. It's not the best choice, but Olrox doesn't have many of those, so he opens his maw far wider than it really should and gives his head a quick twist aside.

From the back of his throat comes a thin laser that streaks along the ground immediately behind That Guy, carving a single thin line into the earth. Only an instant after it passes, however, the seemingly pathetic laser causes a greater effect: the earth where it passed explodes in a line of roiling hellfire, intent on consuming the bear of a man from behind with its hellish heat!

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute frowns. More and more information is coming about the creature in the hole, and Sanary has confirmed what it is. Lute sighs. He's just... He's going to have to trust his allies. He opens up several Pokeballs, and several Pokemon appear. Giratina. Tyrannitar. Gardevoir. Registeel. Raichu.

"HYPER BEAM AND THUNDER, INTO THE HOLE! SAVANT, use your psychic powers to help guide the beams. And... Mr. Crabs? FILL THE HOLE WITH BUBBLES! And Imima, just start firing!"

The Pokemon start first. Taking positions on the edge of Mr. Crabs, every single one of them, except Raichu, unleashes a Hyper Beam down towards the hole. The Raichu unleashes a burst of Thunder. The Gardevoir uses is Psychic powers to guide the various attacks, aiming towards the creature down below.

And then, Mr. Crabs opens its mouth. And starts filling the hole with bubbles. These bubbles are completely acidic, and will burn up most anything they touch. Mr. Crabs is trying to fill the pit competely and utterly.

And then Mr. Crabs starts spitting out bubbles of /another/ chemical. And these chemicals react with the other bubbles. To create explosions.

Basically, Lute is trying to fill the /entire hole/ with explosions.

He is really trusting Toph, here, to protect Sanary. He doesn't want Sanary to get hurt, but he knows Toph will manage.

He's not giving orders for Vegeta to be protected too, though, because Vegeta is Immortal.

Yari Takane (691) has posed:
GRENADES! There's really very little Yari can do, other than form a good trio of handseals. Her veins in her eyes bulge, blood and reflexes amping up as her entire body tenses. Thus, she leaps backwards towards the cover of trees! Landing on the side of one, her hand grips her sword! When the grenades go off, her tail pulls the trigger on her gunscabbard, the resulting slash hard enough to swipe at the incoming explosion! The energy splits in two, part of it sliced over her head to turn a tree into splinters. The lower half, however, sends her flying and destroys much of her armor.

When she lands, her stomach and chest are a burnt, crispy mess, but from the moans of pain she's still alive. Cursing, she swallows a potion, and gets back to her feet. Her tail holds her burnt flesh just to keep everything important inside, before she uses her now enhanced ninja speed to simply rush at the remaining grenade-throwing hillbillies!

Yari is a blurred, graceful dancer amidst her opponent, aiming elbows, kicks, and flipping horn-butts right into faces as she engages them! None of those she can reach are spared, some thrown into each other or kicked into trees as she works on incapacitating the locals!

Her orders didn't say anything about killing them, after all.

Ayako Hasekawa has posed:
MONSTER TEAM

Ayako sighs with relief when Maya provides her with some water. "Aahh... thank you, Maya! Every little bit helps!" Especially when she's spreading herself around like this. Forming other Ayakos to dispense Healing Water properly is draining!

And then she stops for a moment. Whoa. She's not even close to the sinkhole and she heard the Berserk Tetsucabra's roar.

Ayako sighs with relief as most of the rescuees aren't extremely hurt. Doing multiple checkups and healing at the same time is still tiring, though!

The sudden rumbling catches her attention quickly, though. Ayako's amber gaze moves up to the nearby apartment building. Did the roar from the sinkhole be just enough to start this building's collapse?! And then she spots someone up on the apartment about to fall!

She can't do anything about that! There's still too many wounded down here that she's still treating with her other Ayakos!

Noble Six (38) has posed:
With Lute's plan being to fill the hole with explosives, Noble Six finds herself in a rare position where she and Lute have something they agree on. The SPARTAN pulls the ship around and lines up with the hole, evading the moon and firing everything in the ship's compliment into the hole.

It's a lot of missiles. All the missiles on the vehicle, plus twin mounted machine guns. And as the ship approaches the hole, Noble Six hits a button and punches out, sending the ship itself careening down into the hole to add to the explosions.

Maya has posed:
Monster Group

is working with Ayako who seems to be very beside herself today. May does what she can to help but now she spyes something she spys another building is about to go down, there's someone about to fall an Maya's going to handle this she pulls a pendant from under her strange top and mutters something and a pair of blue energy wings take shape out of her back looking much like how one might see an angels. She takes a secon to stretch them out and then takes flight heading to get the civilian before they fall.

"Easy I got you!"

Raditz (486) has posed:
Raditz grins as he clutches the Dragon Ball, and says, "That was easy---" He blinks and glances about noise happens before seeing the net fly at him, and he glads SLAMMED by it and pinned to the ground suddenly. He blinks a bit and shakes his head. "OKay.. HEavy net, so this would normally keep people down... Right, not playing anymore."

SUPER SAIYAN POWER UP TIME! Raditz flares up into his transformed state and blasts the net off of him. "Stpid net..."

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
    Oh damnit...!

There's more shaking, more earth shattering explosions coming when both Lute and Noble Six don't hold back and unleash their entire arsenal upon the big bad burrower. And the effects can be felt as the shock from the attacks spread through the ground. Just where is Sanary? With Vegeta? Unless the other girl is actually touching the ground it's pretty hard to tell just where she is. And Vegeta can probably handle himself amidst all these explosions. For now Toph is preoccupied with keeping the whole area from just crumbling together with the beast and the two elites doing things that would get Jarvis ranting about structural stability. Sheesh, and they doubt her control?

Serori (37) has posed:
Okay, here's what happens.

Vegeta and Berserk Tetsucabra equal one another's mass. Tetsucabra's long where Vegeta's tall, but if you tip Vegeta sideways, his nose and his toes would be equal to the Berserk Tetsucabra's tusked snout and stubby tail. To pick the monster up inside one of his monkey paws would be a real feat, though of course, saiyans do impossible things all the time, so it's hard to blame Vegeta for trying. As he reaches for the Berserk Tetsucabra -- henceforth referred to as "BT" -- he finds out why it's not smart to get all cuddly with these fellows. BT whirls around, sprouts spikes from its club-like tail, and tries to bury those spikes right into the sensitive meat of Vegeta's palm.

Sure, it gets blistered by an energy blast for its trouble, but that just seems to make BT even more mad.

After that explosion clears, BT -- now showing some signs of injury -- resumes thrashing around in a mad frenzy. He roars, shaking the sinkhole again. He clubs his tail into the walls. He throws himself side to side with the desperate energy of a bird trying to beat its way outside a cage. The sinkhole shudders, the stones begin to crack, and the entirety of Sebra City shudders in fear.

Now in cramped quarters with Vegeta just above him, Toph hiding out beneath him, and Sanary hiding out on Vegeta's shoulder, BT takes up another immense scoop of soil and compressed rock, superheats it -- and crushes it inside its own jaws.

The widespread burst is released from beneath Vegeta just as Lute's Pokemon and Noble Six's aircraft begin a punishing bombardment from above.

It's a good thing Toph's here, or the results might devastate more than the sinkhole's interior...

Toph's will is tested to its limits and beyond. As explosion after explosion threatens to tear the sinkhole into a vast chasm, only one girl's control over the elements prevents the devastation from spreading. The earth rebels against Toph, but she is its mistress. It strains to crumble, to weaken, to falter, but Toph keeps it strong, and keeps it together. With the sinkhole acting as a chimney, most of the explosion is shunted upward, though a good bit of it is forced underground, doing god-knows-what kind of damage to the subterrane. Toph can feel it in her bones -- it's bad -- but maybe it's not as bad as it could have been.

The chemical bubbles created by Mister Crabs only exacerbate the situation. What was just a lot of booms becomes a toxic conflagration. Fire swells up inside the sinkhole, and rockets up into the skies over Sebra City like some kind of hell geyser. The fire is an ugly color, unnatural, and unpleasant to look at. The blast stinks.

Lute's Pokemon are silhouetted against the blast, unharmed, but even they'll have to duck back as Six's final bombardment starts to pop off like the most violent Fourth of July display ever created. Missiles squeal, gun turrets go rattatattatattatat --

And juuust as the smoke begins to clear -- juuust as the blackened body of a very toasted Berserk Tetsucabra starts wobbling upright -- one last shadow fills the sinkhole, and crushes BT into a pancake.

Six's ship.

But where's Vegeta in all of this? Where's Sanary? And where's Toph?! How could they have survived?! Maybe it's time for Ayako and Maya to shift their focus -- that had to have looked like a pretty horrifying display, over there.

Serori (37) has posed:
Maya's quick thinking saves the falling civilian. From her new flighted vantage, though, she gets a good sight of the aftermath. That sinkhole's still looking wobbly, and now, the entire interior of it is glowing the deep orange glow of lit charcoal. Unbearable heat radiates up from the sinkhole.

Maya's friends really could be in serious trouble!

BALL TEAM --

Raditz will be dismayed to learn there is no super-net requiring super-destruction. The net, as huge as it is, was clearly no woven to capture human-sized targets. It falls to the ground in a harmless thump, its weave so wide that Raditz has only to step forward to escape the trap.

Of course, Raditz does it in a more fashionable way. He blows up the net with ease. One of the boulders knocked loose by the resulting explosion of power and aura goes tumbling toward the trebuchet, and breaks it apart into splinters.

How anti-climactic! Serori cackles.

Meanwhile, Lord Olrox punishes the filthy bear-man who thought it'd be okay to give hugs. That Guy is roasted from behind by a churning curtain of hellfire. Yelping in pain, That Guy doesn't release Lord Olrox, though -- no, his instinctive forward leap acts as a tackle, perhaps forcing Olrox to the ground beneath him! That Guy sits up and starts swatting embers out of his tail fur while Olrox is left to contemplate his current dilemma. It might be embarrassing for him for someone to notice him sprawled out all shoujo-romantically beneath That Guy, but fortunately for him and his dignity, Serori doesn't seem to notice.

Yari might notice, though! Like a very precise tornado, she whirls through the remaining mountain men, taking down one after another with debilitating strikes and incapacitating poisons. Some drop unconscious just out of fear! These are clearly not your average warriors. Who are they? Why are they here? Where did they get these ridiculous, mismatched armaments? Whose idea was it to construct a monster trap out of logs and nets?

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Thrashing and exploding rocks from the Tetsucabra in front of Vegeta! Pokemon beams, missiles, bullets, and acid bubbles from above! That leaves Sanary only one spot to take refuge: Directly underneath Vegeta. Or somewhere underneath him, anyway. She slips further down the Saiyan's back before latching onto the fur on the Saiyan's shin, starting to channel the magical energy into her hands once more. Sure, he's immortal, but he's probably still susceptible to injuries, and the healer's gotta earn her keep down here like everyone else!

"We're getting close to taking it down! Just hold on!" Pounding her hands together before grasping onto Vegeta's leg again, she starts flooding the Saiyan with healing enegry to compensate for all of that damage coming his way. Her other hand doesn't go unused, meanwhile, as she actually manages to spot Toph's position for a brief moment. That's all she needs to send some of that healing magic to the Earthbender as well, aiming to keep their bodies going and their spirits high!

Even if they're about to go squish under Six's ship.

Raditz (486) has posed:
REGARDLESS OF NET SIZE, Raditz clutches the Dragon Ball in hand and floats up into the air. He doesn't seem tobe inclined to immediately handing the ball over.

Vegeta (663) has posed:
Of course, people understand Vegeta's immortality, which is by design since he's rarely clear on that. But inbetween the monster blowing itself up, and Lute's tons of explosions, Vegeta's lost his artificial moon in all of that. And by the time the smoke clears, Sanary's lost him as well. He's laying at the bottom of the pit, groaning with his arms spread against the ground. He's over it all, he's just going to lay here and rest.

Lute (188) has posed:
At this point, Lute does not want to go anywhere /near/ the hole. He just stands atop Mr. Crabs, the explosion sillouting him and his pets. They step back to guard themselves. Mr. Crabs is even beginning to step back from the hole, trying to get away from what is rapidly becoming a sinkhole.

Lute pauses, looking at the hole. Swearing a bit, under his breath. Vegeta /better/ get Sanary out of there okay, or he is going to be pissed. He frowns.

He is /this/ close to leaping in the hole to try and save everyone. He could do it. Merge with his Unown, rush in, save the day... But, still, he's not sure it's really even safe. He sighs, pulls out his Pokeballs, and starts returning everything but the Unown.

Ayako Hasekawa has posed:
MONSTER TEAM

Ayako sighs with relief as Maya saves the falling civilian. And then... explosion! More like lots of explosions! From the sinkhole's direction. That... didn't sound good. Ayako quickly decides to change her route and head towards the sinkhole.

Checking for people who need rescuing and healing along the way, of course. Can't ignore people while enroute, after all!

Dracula Vlad Tepes (83) has posed:
The reasons why Olrox chooses not to go out into the great, chaotic world become more and more apparent. He is a /lord/, a vampire of incredible might and dangerous will, a being to be /feared/ and /respected/. He shouldn't /have/ to exert himself; people should tremble in abject terror at the mere sight of him.

And here he is, crushed under the embrace of a giant bear-man in the middle of a forest of raging hillbillies. How the mighty have fallen.

The great lizard-demon is smashed to the ground, but at least he proves too formidable to be taken out by something like that, even as gangly as his form appears. At least now he's found his limbs freed, and even if he's pinned beneath That Guy in a baffling, humiliating display, at least now he can actually move.

While the bear-man is distracted, Olrox uses his speed and lizardlike form to slither out from underneath him and -

...and Serori orders to keep him spared. All Olrox manages is a furious /hiss/ before he lunges. It's less of a violent move than he would've attempted before: just a sudden snap out to the man's shoulder, digging his fangs in enough to draw blood and tearing back to make the wound a little nastier. His legs lift and suddenly /kick/ into That Guy's chest, both to knock the offending brute back and to send Olrox hurtling away himself, and then the great lizard-beast is slithering and bounding off into the forest to find some cover.

Soon enough, Serori will have a very annoyed-looking Olrox standing nearby in his standard, purple-armored form, refusing to comment on anything that's happened tonight.

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
As the BT continues its rampage and ups the ante, even Toph begins feeling a bit hot where she is. In her current position she can tell everything that is going on around her, how the earth is shaken and crumbling. Or it would be if she would let it. To control this much earth all at once is no laughing matter, especially not now with everything going on. The tail slamming into the walls, the heated rocks, all the explosions... It's nearly too much even for the self proclaimed greatest earthbender of all time. Sweat runs down her face, and not just from the heat around her. It makes her bangs stick to her forehead, and she heaves for breath even as she keeps on willing the earth to /keep together/. Her knuckles turn white as she grips into the earth even tighter, her heels dig into the ground underneath her. Like hell she can give up now!

For some reason she feels like she's getting a second wind though, and she braces herself... as the blast goes off, the blind earthbender's not totally protected. Letting out a cry she stumbles over, hidding the wall of her little hidey hole, and she winces, not getting up immediately. As she works on pushing herself up tough, she 'sees' what's going on easily enough.

    Finally...!

Utterly exhausted she lets herself drop down to the ground, heaving for breath. Okay, they did it.

Noble Six (38) has posed:
As soon as she ejects, Noble Six angles herself towards the ground, aiming to land on the edge of the hole. She fires her jetpack as she comes down to the ground, and lands with a thud.

It's just in time for the explosion of the ship going off behind her, which she makes sure not to look at when it goes off. She knows better than that.

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute pauses. And suddenly feels like a moron. Perhaps it was simply the stress of the moment. Perhaps it was simply the fact that there was /so much/ going on and getting awed by an explosion. Or perhaps his brain simply spaced out for a second. But. It hits him: He /has/ a way to get all three of them out.

The Unown present merge with him. One after another, they slam into his body, becoming a living armor. Lute surges with their power. They reinforce his body completely. Lute used to be a complete powerhouse physically, and lost that skill. But, his Unown allow him to reattain that level of raw power. A level of power that lets him fight with the strongest in the Multiverse. The level of power that let him defeat D.

He leaps into the hole, jumping from one wall of it to another. He misses a step here or there, but manages to catch himself every time. He's leaping off the collapsing walls of the hole. At times, he even leaps off of debries that are midair at times. Finally, he lands near the others. The force of his impact creating a small crater in the ground.

He has to act fast. He doesn't know /how long/ this structure will stay up. He rushes to Toph, first. Mostly on account of Vegeta and Sanary being close to eachother. Picking up Toph with one arm, he slings her over his shoulder, carrying her like a sack of potatoes. Immediately after, he runs towards Vegeta and Sanary. Reaching for a Pokeball, he opens it. He grabs ahold of Sanary, trying to put her on his /other/ shoulder in a fast motion. And, he steps onto Vegeta's back. Having everyone in contact with eachother will make this easier.

His Pokemon forms. Gardevoir, the Psychic Type Pokemon. It takes a second for it to prepare. But, energy is forming around it, and around Lute and the others. It's preparing to Teleport.

As long as Lute gets the three? Seconds later, all of them will vanish, and reappear on the top of Mr. Crab's shell.

Yari Takane (691) has posed:
There's something very uplifting about watching your enemies fall unconscious through sheer /fear/, nevermind raw physical speed and precision. Yari takes a moment to saver it. It's not something she's experienced. After all, by looks alone, she's not exactly intimidating even /with/ horns.

But the chaos on the radio has her ignoring her wounds and re-inflated self esteem. Taking a deep breath, Yari /moves/. There's no subtlety or stealth, Yari simply pushes her legs to where they burn and bones feel as though they shudder, her lungs gasping for breath. In a blurr of motion, scaley after-images, and a long skidding stop, the Au Ra comes to a halt near her compatriots.

Then she's at the hole, and after looking down? She pauses as Lute has a /plan/.

"Ready to receive the wounded, Logan." The woman's already getting out a plethora of potions, arm-binders, and other healing things. Seems she trusts Logan this much!

Arriving just in time, of course, to watch the man leap down into the hole using Unown as armor. Yari rubs her chin briefly.

"Seven out of ten." Comes Yari, instantly putting Lute on her ninja-scale on his leaping. Luckily, the 'rescuing folks' score is /much/ higher.

Then, she takes her turn to leap up to Mr. Crabs! There's suddenly healing for the group, checking for broken arms, other bodily bits, and generally shoving potions down gullets regardless of how the recipient feels about it.

Sanary first, of course. Yari might just be doting on the woman.

Maya has posed:
Monster Team:

Maya gets the civilian she's dropping down with the civilian, making sure they are all right before she turns and makes sure there are no one in need help as she moves after Ayako, there may not be much time for the people down in the pit.

Toph Beifong (20) has posed:
She /should/ get up. There's earth that needs to be stabilized here so they can get out. But the exhaustion from bending all that mass of earth is getting to Toph, and she feels herself drifting closer to unconsciousness. Before she knows it however, she feels herself picked up, and she lets out a groan, attempting to protest, but there's little use. Small she is and easily picked up and thrown over Lute's shoulder. Everything that happens after that is kind of fuzzy, considering she isn't directly in contact with earth.

When the four are teleported to the top of Mister Crab's head, it seems that the earthbender is no longer awake, unconcious but breathing steadily and without any major injuries. But when she wakes up later she is bound to feel the ache in her arms and legs, not to mention the annoyance of being saved by a Fed of all things.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Laying back in this hole doesn't seem so bad. A little too warm, sure. Dirty, yeah. Smelling terrible on account of the giant dead Tetsucabra and Saiyan Ape sweat, even. But at least it's nice and quiet in there.

Then Sanary's picked up by some unseen force and suddenly whisked away somewhere before she even knows what's going on. Needless to say, she's... Mildly freaked out at first, thrashing about for a few moments before noticing just what she's lying on top of.

"Uh. Hey, Mr. Crabs. Lute. Yar-urhb!" The potion goes down easily enough, and the healer's wounds are mostly just old wounds that have reopened or been aggravated by all the explosives and acid. Fractures here, burnt bits there, those patches on her coat flaking off if they haven't also been burnt off completely. There's even some bits of exploded rock lodged in her head bandages!

     Still. Mission successful!
