Tomoyo's Boutique Bargain Bonanza!
Date of Scene: 02 May 2015
Location: Tomoeda-865
Synopsis: Tomoyo's Boutique is having a sale, and plenty of Elites arrive to capitalize on the opportunity.
Cast of Characters: 385, 425, 434, Inga, 619, Tomoyo Daidouji, Sanary Rondel

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
It's a lovely spring morning in Tomoeda, thin wisps of white cloud streaked across a stunning blue sky. The sakura trees all over the city are nearing full bloom, the paths below already covered in scattered petals. Tomoyo stands before her store, unlocking it and stepping inside, looking rather haggard.

Soon after, Yamazaki goes in also, looking equally tired, and then the store is properly opened. Right away, some non-Elites come and go, placing and picking up orders. Looks to be another busy day! Who knows what Elites will come by next?

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Sanary is a little overdressed today. She's taken a liking to the suit that she's wearing even now, although not having any truly presentable casual clothes has made it somewhat difficult to figure out just what to wear during outings.

Then again, that's exactly why she's showing up at Tomoeda today! Sanae had recommended some sort of uniform a while ago, but actually trying to find the type of uniform she mentioned hasn't been easy. Hearing about the discounts offered here, however, has given her some hope that she might actually be able to find something more comfortable for casual interactions.

The eyepatched one steps into the store after knocking on the door lightly, peering around inside at the boutique's wares before turning her attention to the counter. "Hey. I'm looking for some... Clothes?"

She's definitely out of her element here.

A-ko Magami (434) has posed:
So what exactly is A-ko doing here? Well, it seems there's a formal dance coming up soon and A-ko wants to see if she can get something special commissioned. How will she afford it? Well, being an elite in the Union does help somewhat with monetary issues. There are taxes and things like that, but A-ko always manages to save a little extra money. Good thing too, since you never know what could happen when you're dealing with a jealous classmate like B-ko, who will stop at nothing to get A-ko away from C-ko!

Dressed rather casually, A-ko walks into the store and looks around a little. She stops to admire what's there before going to speak up. Before she can ask for assistance, Sanary calls for attention, and A-ko decides to wait until whoever's working there has finished with Sanary before asking about commissioning a special kind of dress.

Sanae Kochiya (619) has posed:
As she often does when visiting modern day-ish Earth spaces, especially in such pleasant weather as this, Sanae Kochiya is wearing her old school uniform. One that thankfully still fits, a few years on, even if she's had to have some previous adjustments by Gensokyo's gifted tailors. None of those specifically caters to Elites and their unique clothing concerns, like this Tomoyo's Boutique claims to, though, and having discussed some recent issues over the radio, perhaps it was time to have them addressed! With that in mind, she lugs a clothing bag with her, though pauses just outside to tilt her head and watch some of the flux of foot traffic. Not quite certain what she imagined it would be like, but probably a bit quieter and less busy. No matter, though; seeing a familiar face brings a smile to her own, and she follows Sanary in.

She slides up carefully behind, and then moves to place a hand on Sanary's shoulder, "Miss Sanary, so have you come for the good deals as well?" A light laugh follows, and then she'd drift back to give her a bit more personal space, "This is probably the right place, then. This shop has gotten quite the reputation in just a short amount of time. I've even seen some commercials on television." Content to make small talk, she otherwise seems to be willing to wait her turn, such as it is, shifting the bundled bag under her arm to rest its weight more comfortably while she and the other customers wait to have orders taken, or fulfilled.

Yuna Kagurazaka (385) has posed:
While Yuna had heard that Tomoyo was running a clothing boutique, she kept not having the opportunity to drop by and visit, although she certainly wants to: she does like to support her fellow Elites, and idol singers can always use new stage outfits.

Today, she's finally managed to free up the time, and she heads for Tomoeda, with Elner flitting along next to her for purposes of navigation. Finding her way to Tomoyo's shop isn't all that hard, and she steps into the boutique, smiling a bit as she looks around, seeing what's on display.

Elner does not follow Yuna inside, the little robo-faerie instead blipping up to rooftop level. It might just be monitoring the area in case something weird happens ... Yuna certainly doesn't expect trouble today, though.

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
The inside of the store seems empty when Sanary and the others walk in at first. To their left is the three changing booths, with purple curtains pulled back, currently unoccupied. Before them are several rows created by wooden shelves, all bearing some manner of unusual materials. But now, there are gaps on them, all with a little sign apologizing that all stocks of that material are going to be used in current commissions. As for Elner, it might get a peek at the second floor on the way up! A big workshop, filled with different machines. Yamazaki is currently cutting out from a roll of fabric.

But soon, footsteps come from the stairs behind the counter on their right. And Tomoyo emerges, clad in her yellow apron bursting with pockets. Thankfully, she's taken the time to tidy herself up, hair brushed neat and held back with a hairband. She walks up to it and offers her most winning smile!

"Hello everyone, welcome to Tomoyo's Boutique. How can I help?" She looks to Sanary first, since she was first to arrive.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Although Sanary jerks up slightly at the touch, she does relax visibly upon hearing the familiar voice from behind her. "Ah. Hey, Sanae. Yeah, I figured this would be as good place to start because of the discounts and actually hearing about it by name." Grinning slightly, she looks the green-haired woman over quickly and strokes her chin. "So is this the school uniform you were talking about last time? Looks alright, I think."

Could she pull of that look herself? The garment looks a little too flappy for her tastes, although... Is that how casual fashion works for people with actual money? Sanary's been involved in plenty of fights and formal events, but the range of clothing styles throughout the multiverse has been so varied that she's just left staring at Tomoyo when she speaks.

"Uh? Oh. Hi. Do you have any good casual clothes? Like..." She furrows her brow slightly in thought. "Something I could wear just about anywhere and isn't too fancy?" She pauses again. "And... Maybe with enough room to fit some light armor under? Unless that's not casual any more."

A-ko Magami (434) has posed:
Once Sanary has finished speaking, A-ko speaks up. "Yes, my name's A-ko. I've got a formal dance coming up soon and I'd like to see if I could get a dress commissioned from you? I assure you cost won't be an issue." She seems fairly confident, but if C-ko were here, she'd probably make a comment that would tick A-ko off.

Natasha (425) has posed:
Natasha's running a bit late, she had a bit trouble finding Tomoyo's Boutique. Of course she's not fully used to big cities. Though she eagerly makes her way inside once she arrives. The first thing she notices is it's rather large. She should be able to find something that's fireproof in a story of this size right? She smiles upon seeing Yuna and waves to the others since she hasn't met them before.

Yuna Kagurazaka (385) has posed:
Yuna takes a few moments to look around the inside of the shop; she was sort of expecting there'd be some sample clothes on display, something customers could choose from or at least get basic ideas out of ... but, apparently Tomoyo isn't the type to lock herself down to specific outfits for her customers, preferring to give their imaginations freer rein than that.

The sound of the door opening behind her prompts Yuna to turn and see who it is, and she smiles, waving to Natasha, before going back to studying the shelves. Hopefully the empty ones at least have labels to hint at what kind of fabrics would normally be there ...

She's not entirely sure what kind of outfit she wants to order, so for now, Yuna lets Tomoyo handle the customers who got in ahead of her, considering the available fabrics. She's being a good customer and not touching anything - much as she wants to check how some of the fabrics would feel, she doesn't want to mess anything up.

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
Tomoyo's expression shifts as Sanary places her order, becoming a little more calculating. She places a finger on her chin and takes in Sanary's appearance, 'hmm'ing quietly. "Well, I don't have a fashion line yet~ Right now, I just make clothes by commission, but I can absolutely make you something casual that could hide armor under it~"

From under the counter, she digs out a sketchbook (a brand new one!) and flips to the first blank page, drawing a silhouette that closely matches Sanary's dimensions on it. "Hmm, casual... if you want armor, you must want it to be easy to move in, in case of a fight, right~? So no skirts or dresses..." She starts by drawing a loose t-shirt on the figure, loose enough that a thin ballistic vest could be worn under it without any sign. "I'll make it out of spider silk. That way, it will serve as cloth armor on its own~ And of course, I'll give it a nice design! Any hints you could give me on what designs you would like?" While Sanary answers, she begins to draw pants on the figure... but pauses, looking over the counter, down at Sanary's legs. She then erases the lower half, and instead turns them into knee-length shorts!

She also peeks around Sanary to look at everyone in line. "Thank you for your patience everyone~ Feel free to look around and talk, I'll be with you as soon as I can!"

Sanae Kochiya (619) has posed:
"Sorry, didn't mean to startle you!" Somehow, Sanae's apology and intent seems genuine, even if she was the one that snuck up on her. Could be the broad, sunny smile. When Sanar mentions her current attire, she fusses with it briefly, more out of habit than anything else, "Oh, yes! This is my school uniform, from back on Earth. I've tried to take care of it." From how well-tended the dark blue of it is, apparently quite well. When Tomoyo emerges, her attention focuses on her, giving the business owner a kind smile in return and a slight bowing of the head. She'll leave Sanary to her consultation, and simply stand off to the side for a while, humming a tune from a popular song of a few years ago.

With not much else to distract herself with, she once again shifts the bundle she's carrying, which makes soft, ruffling sounds - indicating its cloth contents. Then, she busies herself with browsing the store, trying to stay out of the way of her fellow customers, but Yuna does get a smile. Somehow she looks familiar, but she can't say from where. Perhaps memories from a previous life -- yes, certainly that's it.

A-ko Magami (434) has posed:
A-ko nods a little and proceeds to look about the store a little. She admires the various fashions for sale, and happens to see Yuna, whom she greets with a wave and a smile. It's always nice to see friends in new places, since to A-ko it feels more familiar. She runs a hand through her hair as she admires one specific dress.

Natasha (425) has posed:
Natasha on the other is feeling the different fabrics to see what is most comfortable, she's wondering if she'll be able to afford an outfit from her. She certainly doesn't come from a wealthy background and isn't the best person when it comes to handling money. Then again she could use more clothes that she doesn't have to worry about scorching.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
"Ah, don't worry about it. It's not like this place is... Usually too dangerous. THe uniform looks good on you... Hm. Might have to pick one of those up, too." Sanary laughs lightly at Sanae's response, shaking her head lightly before turning back to Tomoyo. Her eye widens slightly at Tomoyo's insight, a slight grin crossing her face moments later. "So there /are/ clothes that do that and aren't just.. Hm. Interesting." She peers at the sketchbook quizzically as the girl starts drawing, nodding slowly at her question about easy movement.

"Yeah, I figure having some type of armor on at all times would be better than just going all-or-nothing. Especially with the armor being so... Chunky." She laughs softly and straightens up a bit once Tomoyo starts looking at her, holding her arms out a little bit away from her sides just in case.

The question about design does make the healer pause somewhat, though. "Uh... Don't really know about design much, but I guess..." She glances back at the others in the line before leaning over the counter and lowering her voice considerably while talking a little too quickly. "Maybe something cute..? I-I don't know all my stuff is really plain anyway."

Sanary clears her voice somewhat loudly as she straightens back up, trying to look nonchalant while nodding towards Tomoyo.

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
Tomoyo giggles when Sanary asks for something 'cute.' "I think I can manage that." She rubs her chin, trying to think of something fitting. Sanary, Sanary... even without the translation effect, Tomoyo is pretty good at English, and realizes that it rhymes with 'canary...'

She snaps her fingers, and resumes her sketching! She adds to the t-shirt, giving it hems with wavy patterns of lace (which will apparently be white) while labelling the shirt 'yellow.' On the front, she draws a cartoon canary which will be black on the actual shirt. The shorts (which will be rather short!) will be tan, a nice neutral color. Lastly, she draws some ankle-length socks and sneakers onto the feet of the figure. Socks will be white, and sneakers will be yellow and white.

"It feels like it needs one more thing..." Tomoyo glances at Sanary, and notices her ponytail. She gasps, and quickly draws one on the figure, followed by a quick sketch of that cartoonish canary again, as a hair ornament connected to a hairtie. On the figure, she draws a small version. By design, it will look like the canary is perching on Sanary's head!

Tomoyo turns the sketchbook so Sanary can inspect it. "What do you think~?"

Sanae Kochiya (619) has posed:
While she's mannered enough to not touch the merchandise, it's really difficult to resist on some of these fabrics. Some of which looks familiar, and others..well, let's just say that Sanae's miko sense is tingling! She bends over to squint particularly hard at some reinforced material, poking a fingertip into her cheek thoughtfully. "I should bring Miss Nitori here sometime. She loves material science." Hopefully no patent violations would occur from such a visit. While she's also trying not to be a distraction to Tomoyo's hard work, she does wonder openly, "Where do you get all this stuff? From all over the multiverse, it looks like!"

Sanary's compliments get to her belatedly, though she's not too terribly embarassed. In fact, she wanders closer again, hands clasped behind her back still carrying around the bag she came in with, standing on her tip-toes to get a glimpse from just over Sanary's shoulder, and lifting a bent finger to her chin, analytically. She withholds any spoken judgement for now, though, even if a quirked grin comes to her shortly after.

Natasha (425) has posed:
"That looks cute, but I think I want something that looks a little more heroic myself." Natasha's more of a tomboy after all. She'll wear dresses once in a while but she does a fair amount of fighting after all. "Wow, I could spend all day in here." She's having a hard time deciding on an outfit. She hasn't done much shopping before clothes after all.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
"What? I-it's just because I don't have anything else like that." Sanary actually sounds embarrassed as she says that, glancing around for a moment to give herself some time to regain her composure. Thankfully, Tomoyo does seem to be focusing on the sketching rather than her face for the time being. Sanary fights the urge to peek at the sketchbook and distracts herself by looking over at the shelves. So many... Things she doesn't know anything about.

Definitely out of her element. Still, she's feeling good about what the potential result of all this is, and judging from the drawing shown to her? "Whoa... This looks /really/ good. Neat bird thing, too..." She goes quiet for a moment as she gestures at the canary on the shirt, her attention soon shifting to that tiny head-based canary. Her expression goes blank briefly before her cheeks start puffing slightly to hold in a snicker. Is that good?

"Th-that is cu... I like it!" She definitely sounds pleased even if she catches herself a moment later, glancing behind herself at Sanae and blushing in embarassment once more at the grin. "WH-what? The only other stuff I have is for fighting! A-and this is just for having something different."

Yuna Kagurazaka (385) has posed:
Yuna glances up from one of the shelves as she overhears Sanary talking about armor. "You know, you can probably get armor that's lighter and less bulky without sacrificing protection," she suggests. "... I think. It depends on what your regular armor's made of, and how attached to it you are."

She leans into view of the counter briefly, but can't really make much out from Tomoyo's sketch from this distance and angle. She goes back to studying out the available fabrics for a little longer ... then heads up to get in line at the counter, considering what she's seen. Of course Tomoyo's going to be applying her imagination to making clothes for people - or maybe 'costumes' is the more appropriate term here?

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
Tomoyo beams with delight as Sanary gives her approval. "Aw, good!" To be honest, she's far too used to designing more elaborate outfits for other people, so when someone just wants something casual, she worries a little.

"I need to get your measurements, but I want to help the other customers first. Do you mind waiting?" Her eyes fall on Natasha, since it seems A-ko is a little distracted right now, and waves the girl over!

"Okay~ What would you like ma'am?"

Sanary Rondel has posed:
"Not at all. I got nothing else going on today, anyway." Grinning back at Tomoyo, Sanary taps two fingers to her head in a relaxed semi-salute before stepping away from the counter. She's considerably more relaxed now just from the lack of attention coming her, and now she can look at the other stuff more closely!

"The main armor's made of... What was it called. Big green thing. Really chunky, but it's sturdy as hell." Sounding somewhat proud about that, Sanary turns to offer Yuna a wide grin. "Chewed up and exploded lava rocks at us while I was with the group taking it down. Not an easy fight, but... You know. We managed. No casualties or nothing." Definitely not bragging at all. No. Never.

Natasha (425) has posed:
"Oh me?!" Natasha makes her way eagerly over to Tomoyo trying not to crash into anything as she does so. "Hmmm, something casual, heroic, and most importantly fireproof." She's distracted a bit by Sanary as she hears the words, "Lava rocks? Were you fighting a lava golem or something?" She wonders what else would have lava rocks after all.

Sanae Kochiya (619) has posed:
To Sanary's noticing it, Sanae's grin suddenly fades into her more usual, sunny smile. One might almost expect a stereotypical halo to appear over her head. "Oh, no..don't misunderstand me. Looking cute and feeling comfortable is important, too! If you're just hanging out with friends, you have to be able to relax, and it helps others feel comfortable with you." To take it easy, in other words. Don't worry, either, Tomoyo. She'll try to make the wait a little bit easier with conversation.

The description gets a bit of a blank look from the green-haired priestess, and she's once again tapping her cheek, puzzled. "Big green thing? Like bronze? ..hmm, no, that's more..brown." She's not really familiar with all the fantasy or high-tech materials currently on offer in the multiverse, either, but if it survived some kind of volcanic explosion, it certainly has to be a durable material. "..ah, wait, you made armor out of a monster!?" She suddenly looks excited at the prospect!

Yuna Kagurazaka (385) has posed:
"Jade?" Yuna guesses - and it really is just a guess, but she knows jade is a green mineral, and she has *very vague* recollections of it being used as armor in some era of Chinese history ... or was it weapons? Or was that a game or a movie or something instead of actual history ...

Oh well, it's not that important - and in the Multiverse, truth is very often literally stranger than fiction. And more than a little belatedly, she returns Sanae's look and smile from earlier, throwing in a friendly wave for good measure. "Hi! I don't remember for sure if we've met, but I'm Yuna," she introduces herself to the green-haired schoolgirl.

For all she knows, Sanae might be a fan who recognizes her from promotional posters or CD covers or from an actual concert or something. Thus are the risks of an idol singer's day-to-day life.

Inga has posed:
Inga isn't very good with directions. Most directions have street names involved--which she can't read. She is also still rather uncomfortable in large, modern cities. There's approxiamately two blocks of Chicago she is vaguely comfortable with, so she is most certainly outside her comfort zone here. Not to mention going /shopping./

And so, in walks a small fashion disaster. She is both small in stature and offense--that fashion offense being looking incredibly old fashioned even when she is dressed in clothing that is modern, at least by her tastes, which means she probably purchased it where the amish shop or in the old lady's section of a goodwill. The dress she wears is ankle length and long sleeved, brown with a small floral print. She's only missig a straw hat. Throwing off this prairie look is the leather belt at her waist from which hangs a knife, a few pouches, and what are most certainly various bone charms. A long, white braid hangs over her shoulder and she carries a carved oak staff in her hand.

She looks distinctly uncomfortable.

A-ko Magami (434) has posed:
A-ko is still distracted for the time being. She figures she'll wait until the others have gone before taking on the task of explaining her necessary commission. Besides, there are so many designs to look at!

Sanary Rondel has posed:
"E-exactly. And if it happens to be kinda... Cute, then that's... Y-yeah." Sanae's reassurance does seem to help somewhat, at least, even if Sanary is trying to maintain some sort of appearance. What that appearance is, exactly, isn't really as clear.

"Not a lava golem. It was a... Something with a T." She crosses her arms over her chest as her brain goes into overdrive, trying to recall what that thing was called. Raising an eyebrow at Sanae's reaction, the grin on her face widens juuuust a bit. "That's right~ Tough fight, too, since it took me and three other people to take it down. Four if you count the person in the flying machine. Maybe... Ten? If you count all the Pokemon."

Maybe it doesn't sound as impressive with those numbers. That little issue doesn't seem to bother her too much, at least. It's when Yuna says her name that she actually squints at her, however, a slow look of recognition coming across the one exposed eye. "Hey... Weren't you at that birthday party? With the singing and stuff?"

Sanae Kochiya (619) has posed:
"Sanae Kochiya," comes a quick response to Yuna's introduction, snapping her out of her sudden burst of RPG-fueled imagination. "It's good to meet you, Miss Yuna! Sorry if I was staring before -- I thought that maybe we had met in a past life." She's just the sort to blurt out that kind of strange notion, apparently, even if she sheepishly slides a foot afterward, realizing too late how weird that must have sounded. "Uhm, that is..I just thought you looked familiar." It likely was just a random media encounter, though - as an avid consumer when reconnected with the right sources.

Back to the topic at hand, though, Sanary's description soon has her imagination buzzing again. "Making stuff out of monsters sounds like something out of a video game. You'd get to inherit some of the properties it's made from, then!" Crossing her arms over her chest, while one hand remains occupied with her cloth, she does her best to look somewhat authoritative, on something she has no actual experience with. With confidence, she theorizes, "Such as, using salamander hide for your armor, you would become resistant to fire, I bet." She's distracted from her line of thought by Sanary mentioning singing, and Yuna, and that prompts a snap of the fingers. But she's savvy enough (she thinks) to know that celebrities usually prefer to be low-key, so that's as far as she goes.

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
Tomoyo twirls her pencil on her thumb as she considers Natasha's request. "Heroic, hm~?" That means she can get a little more flamboyant with it!

She turns to a fresh page in the book and gets to work! The first thing she draws is a loose halter top, exposing a little bit of navel on the figure, as well as putting a tasteful amount of cleavage on display. After considering Natasha's hair for a moment, she decides that it will be a light orange, with white horizontal stripes and straps. On the hands, she draws some black fingerless gloves. No, wait. She annotates them, saying to mix in some warm colors, to make them look like embers. On the legs, she draws some long cargo pants, black with warm fiery colors at the hems of the legs, with trails of smoke coming up and coiling around the pants. On the feet are some thick-soled leather combat boots.

"All the cloth will be treated with aerogel and fire elemental dye~ Totally fireproof!" But now comes the heroic part! Around the neck of the figure, she draws a long trailing scarf, and begins to detail it in a separate drawing. It will be made of a clear, membranous fabric, with inks in warm colors on the inside. Constantly swirling and mixing, it would look like a trail of fire around her neck! The very end that is left to flutter will be designed to look charred and burnt.

Tomoyo flips the book to let Natasha see. "I think this would make you strike a very cutting figure~"

Natasha (425) has posed:
Natasha looks at the sketch for a moment closely. It's certainly more elaborate than anything else she owns. "I like it!" It certainly suits her well though. Of course she's going to like just about anything with a fire-themed design. "I'm guessing you need my measurements and all that too first? Where do you get the dye from?" She can't help but to be curious about that as well.

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
"I do need your measurements, but I also have to help the other customers. Would you mind waiting~?" To answer Natasha's question about the dyes, she extracts a sheet of parchment from behind the counter and offers it to the other girl. It seems to be advertising an 'elemental farm' which houses tamed elemental creatures and makes products from their... uh, leavings. With the dye being one of them.

"Next please~ That would be you, ma'am," Tomoyo says, beckoning A-ko over.

Yuna Kagurazaka (385) has posed:
There haven't been that many birthday parties Yuna's had a chance to perform at, but she nods to Sanary, "Quite possibly! And it's fine, Sanae," she replies with a grin. "I'm used to people recognizing me ... I'm not sure which former life you'd have met me in, though?"

She shrugs gamely, and looks at Tomoyo's sketch for Natasha. "Huh. That *would* look pretty impressive!" she states. This actually gets her brain working further ...

A-ko Magami (434) has posed:
Walking over, A-ko smiles a little. "Hi there, I'm A-ko Magami, and I need a dress for my upcoming formal dance." She smiles a little. "I'm hoping you could make me something that's not too revealing but doesn't cover too much of my legs either. I want to be able to dance freely."

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Oh right. Introductions. Sanary taps two fingers against her forehead while facing yUna, vaguely resembling a salute minus all the formality and stiffness. "Sanary Rondel. Good to meet you, too." She raises an eyebrow at the mention of Sanae's past life, her brow furrowing yet again. "So there's being immortal, coming back from the dead, /and/ past lives now? Crazy stuff..."

She laughs lightly at Sanae's reaction to her mention of monster armor, a slow nod coming from the healer moments later. "Haven't tried playing any video games yet, but that's how Ysabel told me this armor works. I actually haven't tried... Er. Wearing it yet, so I don't know how much spirit I'd get from the set, but eventually."

The sketch for Natasha draws an impressed half-whistle, half-blowing noise from Sanary. "I like the scarf... Hmm. I gotta commission more stuff from here next time you have a sale."

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
Tomoyo gasps with delight, and claps her hands together. "Oh, a dance~! Whoever is going with you is very lucky~" She carefully examines A-ko, tilting her body left and right as she does. "Okay~!"

Turning to the next fresh page, Tomoyo gets to work. Drawing a figure onto the page, she begins to sketch a dress! It's a one-shoulder dress, going over A-ko's right shoulder with a short sleeve, leaving her left arm exposed. It's a liiiitle bit low-cut, not enough to be scandalous. Around the waist, she draws a simple sash, tied into a bow at the back. Next comes the skirts, which she makes ankle-length with flared hems and slits up the side that start just above A-ko's knees. Finally, she draws some low wedge heels on the figure's feet, small enough that dancing won't be hard, and some opera gloves on the arms, finishing it with a simple pearl necklace around the neck. When the time comes to annotate the colors, it's very simple. Dress and shoes are black, sash and gloves are white.

Tomoyo shows A-ko the sketch and smiles. "I know the colors seem simple, but I think that a prom dress shouldn't overpower the beauty of whoever wears it! A quiet, elegant look would suit you best, I think."

Natasha (425) has posed:
"Okay!" Natasha looks at the elemental farm paper intently wondering if she should visit sometime, she hears the introductions and decides she should do one as well, "Natasha Emberson! Nice to meet you." She smiles at Sanary and A-Ko. "I kind of came back from the dead myself, but it's complicated." She can understand how that goes.

Sanae Kochiya (619) has posed:
"Ha ha, it was a little bit of a joke, at least in my case," Sanae admits, just the faintest tinge of pink coming to her cheeks as she rubs the back of her head with a free hand, then settles her hair back into place. "I mean, I do know people that have reincarnated, so it's definitely real! But, I don't have any specific memories, myself. It's just something I'm fond of saying, when I recognize something but don't know from where." She gives a broad smile pointedly to Yuna, at that, especially seeing as she doesn't seem to mind being recognized. Back on topic, she makes a thoughtful sound, before continuing, "I'm not sure how it would work for me, really. Miss Kanako has told me I'm descended from a goddess, but I've never felt that different."

Such deep matters are waved away with a physically dismissive brush of her hand, and she gains a carefree expression again, since there's far cooler things to be talking about. Like monster armor. "So you hang out with monster hunters? Oooh..and you mentioned Pokemon. So they're tamers, too?" She rubs at the side of her head, miming a headache at having to absorb so much at once..even if there's no actual physical pain involved. It's a common feeling she has in the multiverse, even coming from the diverse place she does. "Hah, so complicated.. The kind I seal or rebuke usually just look like girls, like me. I wouldn't want that kind of armor. But..if it's not a human monster, one with animal intelligence, then that's no different than making any leather armor, right?"

A-ko Magami (434) has posed:
"Well, it's not exactly a prom, but..." A-ko grins as she stares at the drawing. For a moment, even she's surprised by what she's seeing, since she apparently was thinking simpler terms. But this is even better. "That's perfect!" She grins at Tomoyo. "How much will it cost?"

Sanae Kochiya (619) has posed:
Fixing Natasha with an initially curious look, she soon receives a smile from the priestess, as well. Sanae figures, "Oh, I know people that have also come back from the dead, as well. Don't worry, it's not freaky at all. Good to meet you too, Miss Emberson!" Though, she does give another thoughtful look, "It doesn't seem to be that way most places in the multiverse, but in Gensokyo, the reapers are always really mad when someone escapes judgement. I'm sure you'll be fine, though."

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
Tomoyo smiles at A-ko. "Well, we are having a sale this week. My voice was stolen, but I got it back, you see~" She rattles off a very reasonable price to A-ko... before her eyes finally fall in Inga, having missed her entrance due to the others.

Unlike some, she doesn't immediately draw attention to the girl's poor state of dress. Instead, she just bites her lower lip a bit, smiling apologetically at those who arrived before her.

"Hello ma'am. How can I help you?" she asks, putting a little bit of stress on 'help.'

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Tomoyo's speed at coming up with clothing designs is becoming more and more surprising for Sanary to watch, another half-whistle half-blowing noise coming from her once A-ko's sketch is shown. She'll figure out whistling properly one day, but today definitely isn't that day. "If I didn't have one of those already... Hmm."

Natasha's revelation of her return from the dead draws a surprised grunt from the healer, although she does chuckle a moment later. "So just in here we've got one that came back from the dead and one descended from a goddess... Well, my job's to keep anyone from dying in the first place, so I guess it all fits together. Kinda."

     Elites are weird.

"There's all sorts, really. Monster hunters, Pokemon trainers, people that'll fight just about anything." Sanary lets out a relaxed laugh as she crosses her arms behind her head, the back of her suit flaring up from the movement before she lowers her arms again. "Yeah, there's really all sorts of stuff to do and people fighting other things around here. I'm... Kinda in-between fighting stuff and healing, I guess? Although I've mostly been focusing on the healing lately. Definitely better make armor out of animal parts than wearing people parts, yeah."

She shivers briefly, but still manages a chuckle. "Oh, that'd be gross... Hm. Is Gensokyo like here? The naming style sounds kinda... Same-y,."

A-ko Magami (434) has posed:
Smiling at the reasonable price, A-ko looks into her pocket and produces her charge/debit/whatever card. "That sounds great! I'll take it!" She waits for Tomoyo to finish with her other customers though before making the payment final.

Natasha (425) has posed:
"Making armor out of people parts is kind of creepy, yeah." Natasha nods in agreement with that. "Well, I guess you could consider me a monster girl in a way." Even if she can make herself look like a normal human. "It's certainly better than dying though, I wouldn't be able to help anyone if I were dead! I've lost my voice before too, so I know what that's like!" She frowns a bit at that.

Inga has posed:
Inga stays in the background, looking even more uncomfortable with the conversation. She's totally not one of those 'comes back from the dead' folks, nope nope...

Inga looks up suddenly, the owner of the store having taken notice of her. Inga's chin rises slightly, then nods as she head over toward Tomoyo, leaning on the staff she carries. The woman walks with a fairly pronounced limp but carries herself with an air of dignity. She smiles to Tomoyo, bowing her head slightly in greeting. "Hello, I am Inga. I've come to ah...to have a couple of dresses made, if possible. I had heard that you may be able to make something for me that would be resistant to blood stains," she says, resting both hands on her staff. "I see you are rather busy though, so if you would like me to return at a later time I would not mind," she adds.

Yuna Kagurazaka (385) has posed:
"I'd probably freak out if I lost my voice and didn't know what had happened to it," Yuna admits. (Of course, she did offer to let her voice get borrowed ... so the 'if I didn't know' part is relevant.) "Either way, I'm definitely glad you got your voice back, Tomoyo - and we really ought to do karaoke sometime," she adds with a grin.

Inga seems to have drawn Tomoyo's attention, though; Yuna falls quiet and watches her interact with Tomoyo. Inga may have technically pre-empted Yuna, but since the idol is still trying to figure out what she wants to request, Yuna's not going to object.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
"Definitely would be creepy. Mm.. Well, monster girl or not, I guess the important thing is if the parts are from something that can think and talk." Sanary looks Natasha over and raises an eyebrow briefly, a low hum escaping her after a moment as she crosses her arms over her chest again. Almost defensively, even, although it's not entirely clear what that's for. "Then again. If it's just because they don't know how to talk, then that could still be really. Or if they talk and think in a way we don't understand... Rrgh. Probably easier not to think about it too much."

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
Tomoyo glances over at Yuna and smiles. "Oh, I would like that~ It's been a while since I got to sing for fun..." But, Inga approaches, and Tomoyo offers her a warm smile. "Some new dresses? Certainly!" She doesn't let her distaste for what Inga is wearing show in the slightest. She's a professional that way.

New page, new figures! She first begins to draw a sundress, for those warm days. It's knee-length, with slim straps that cross over across her back. Tomoyo designates it as being a dark blue, and gives it a white polka-dot pattern. She finishes it with some strappy sandals on the feet, the straps wrapping around the ankles. "Some nice cool colors, for a refreshing look~! It would go wonderfully with your hair."

Next, she decides to draw something warm that seems to match Inga's current tastes, while keeping it stylish~ So, on another figure, she draws a long-sleeved dress, with the hem going all the way down to her ankles. But rather than a dull brown, she designates it as pine green, with a high folded collar with a white ribbon looped around it, tied into a bow. The hems, both sleeves and skirts, have some white frills on them also. On top of that, she draws a waist-length cape, white with embroidery of budding green vines. She adds some thick stockings to the legs and some sturdy boots. As a final touch, she adds a bonnet to the head, plain white with dried rose petals attached to the brim.

"How do these two strike your fancy?" Tomoyo asks.

Inga has posed:
Inga blinks, leaning over to watch Tomoyo sketch. She chokes as soon as she draws the length of the dress, her cheeks and ears going red. "That's...that's too short," she protests. "It does not...look very practical. I need something I can wear in...messy circumstances. Shorter sleeves is good, though. I ah...I am not fond of showing my legs however," she says.

The second sketch gets a thoughtful look, lips pursing. "...I think I like this. Very pretty. Is it...ah...stylish?" she asks.

With a small sigh, Inga pulls a book out of the pouch at her waist. It does not look as if it could have held a book. There also seems to be a bit of a sticky substance on the corner. Honey? "This is the style I am accustomed to. I ah...just need some things that will resist blood. Preferably that leaves my lower arms bare but covers my legs without being too bulky--I must be able to fight in it you see," she says, clearly embarrassed. She should have brought Riva with her. ...Actually no that would likely have just made it worse.

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
Tomoyo giggles at Inga's clear embarrassment. Her suspicions were correct, she was a total puritan. "Okay, I understand~" She alters the sundress, bringing the hem of the skirts down to the middle of her shins, and gives it some loose-billowy sleeves that reach her elbows.

"I think it has an old-fashioned charm to it~" she adds in response to the query on the warmer dress. She does some quick edits to that too, shortening the sleeves to elbow-length and altering the dimensions of the cape, so it sits more on her shoulders and hangs down her back.

     "Is this better?"

Inga has posed:
She is /not/ a puritan. She's a viking! As the book she has passed over would illustrate.

Inga sighs. There's that word again. Old fashioned. "Yes, that is nice I think. You can bring the necklines down--I just...I don't like to show my legs or have fabric clinging to my...hips," she explains. Oh this is mortifying.

Gods, she's in love with the bonnet though! How charming!

"In addition, would you be able to make me a dress like this in a fabric that is sturdy and stain-resistant. Is, ah, gold and silver a suitable form of payment?" she asks. "I also have goats," she adds.

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
Tomoyo blinks, noticing Inga sigh. "Oh, I'm sorry! I didn't mean 'old-fashioned' as a bad thing! It's just... by my standards, it /is/ old-fashioned." She smiles apologetically. "And yes, absolutely! I'll treat them with Nanotex, that's how I get them to be stain-resistant. Anything that doesn't flow right off will come out in the wash, no problem! And precious metals are fine, yes~" Although, she /does/ seem tempted by the goats. "I'll need to get your measurements soon, do you mind waiting?"

Finally, she glances at Yuna and waves her over. "Sorry about that..." she whispers, before brightening up. "Okay~! What would you like?"

Inga has posed:
Inga smiles softly. "It is alright. I understand. It is true, of course," she replies quietly.

Inga nods then. "Of course, I will have a seat and wait," she responds, then goes to do just that, hoping everyone else is gone by the time her measurements need to be taken.

Yuna Kagurazaka (385) has posed:
Yuna grins, "It's okay, really! Your shop's getting a lot of business and I'm not in a real hurry." She pauses, looking back at a shelf whose contents she was examining, then back at Tomoyo.

"Let's see ... you know I'm an idol singer, right? If I were commissioning a new stage dress from you, what would you recommend?"

Throwing herself on the mercy of Tomoyo's imagination can't possibly be a bad idea, can it?

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
"Oohhhh~! There's something I've wanted to try! Stop me if you don't like it!" Tomoyo sounds terribly enthused now, and she goes at the next page with fervour!

What she draws is... interesting. A tight strapless dress with a diamond hole over the bellybutton and a skirt that stops just above the knee. Knee-length socks and wedge heels, along with billowing detached sleeves, secured below the elbow with ribbons. The whole ensemble is pure white.

"Okay, so~ I've had this idea for a while." She begins to detail her plan in notes. All the fabrics would have multiple layers of fabric throughout them, each one treated with a special dye. Under white light, it would all appear white. But, when colored lights shine onto it, a pattern is revealed! Any other colored light is allowed to penetrate through until it hits the layer that matches it. Each layer has different patterns, and multiple lights would allow multiple patterns to appear!

"This dress would be a visual show all on its own, only enhanced by your singing and dancing!" Tomoyo smiles and claps her hands together. "But, I understand if it's a bit... eccentric."

Inga has posed:
Inga sits, paging through the historical fashion book she'd picked up, looking at the pictures while she waits.

She looks up toward Yuna. An idol singer? Is she a priestess of some kind? Singing to the idols of her gods?

Well, she may as well ask. "Do you sing to the idols of your gods?" she asks, obviously interested...and hopelessly confused.

Yuna Kagurazaka (385) has posed:
Yuna is actually blushing *just* a little at the sketch - she doesn't usually wear outfits quite that showy on-stage, but she can't complain about the design.

Then Inga's question catches her by surprise, before Yuna can answer Tomoyo, and a brief coughing fit masks her surprise at the question. "Ah - no, that's not what 'idol singer' means," she answers Inga, smiling sheepishly. "More like ... how to put this ... idol singers are 'idolized' by their fans, I guess you could say? It's mostly an old figure of speech that's stuck around for singers like me - young, cute, easily marketed ..."

She trails off, not wanting to think about the 'easily replaced' part which she's been dodging so far in her career. That thought actually spurs her to answer Tomoyo, "I have no idea how you'd make that fabric, but it sounds really cool! And the outfit design looks like it ought to be good as well ..."

She pauses, looking at Tomoyo's notes again, then leans in to whisper to the budding clothier, "Uh ... are there going to be any wavelengths of light that might get through all the layers ... ? We'd just have to make sure those get left out of the lighting cycles ..."

Natasha (425) has posed:
"That sounds really high-tech, wouldn't you need a lot of electricity for that?" Natasha doesn't know a lot about technology but that sounds like it would be a trouble. "Not to mention if gets wet!" Of course she knows first hand how that could be a problem. "I wonder if there are idol storytellers? Or would that be a director or something?" She can't help but to wonder about that.

Inga has posed:
Inga blushes too as she finds she was very mistaken. Idolized? "Well, bards are to be respected," she replies with a nod. She's not sure about the young, cute and easily marketed part. Marketed?

Ooooh....so its like /that/ then. Inga just keeps on smiling, nodding. "Ah, of course, I understand."

Inga looks back to her book, forming more terrible conclusions.

Sanae Kochiya (619) has posed:
"Idols are big business, in most Earth's Japans," Sanae explains, "They're superstars! Ah..that reminds me, too. Miss Sanary, this seems to be Japan. Gensokyo has a similar-sounding name because it's the same original language." After her explanations are finished, she seems to settle back down a bit, admiring the design while leaning in from mingling again, with a smile. Mostly, she's just been hanging around, and waiting, and all too eager to soak in all the local culture.

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
Tomoyo looks delighted that Yuna likes her idea! She was a little worried there. Not everyone shares her tastes... ah, but Yuna is whispering. She leans in and listens... before breaking into a fit of giggles! "Oh, uh, good point~ I'll add an extra layer of untreated fabric, so there's no chance of anything, uh... showing."

Now she taps her pencil to her chin. "But, what designs should go on what layer? If you wanted to tell a story with a song, the designs could serve as visual aids, getting mixed and matched along with the song. But if you just wanted simple designs, that can work too!"

Yuna Kagurazaka (385) has posed:
Yuna nods gratefully to Sanae; that was a bit better of an explanation than Yuna gave, and hopefully it'll clear up some of Inga's confusion ... and misconceptions.

"I guess a simple black layer under the others would be good as a 'backdrop,'" she suggests to Tomoyo. "As for the story thing ... well, it's an idea, yeah. Most of my songs don't have *that* much of a narrative behind them, though - and if they did, we'd be talking about designing the layers around that specific story, that specific *song*. That ..."

She grimaces a little; this is probably going to come out a little rude. "It sounds like a lot of trouble to go to for a dress that might have to be specific to just one song in my repertoire, y'know? So keeping it general-purpose is probably best." She digs in a pocket of her jumper, fishing out her phone (or rather, her backup Union radio) ...

Inga has posed:
It does not clear up her misconception, rather making it worse actually.

Though, after listening to them speak more, she thinks she must have been mistaken in part of her understanding, at least. Seems it is the music and the...the image, that sells.

Inga just smiles and fades into the background for a while.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Another blowy half-whistle from Sanary. She's doing that a lot today, isn't she? "Sounds ambitious... I could see it looking really good on you, though. And I like the... Tall socks?" She gestures at her knees as she says that, leaning over to peer at Yuna's and Sanae's legs in succession. Personal space doesn't seem to bother her too much as looks from their feet to their thighs, stroking her chin softly while her gaze shifts to Inga's legs nextm then finally back to Tomoyo.

"Don't know how comfortable socks would be if they went that high, though... Wouldn't happen to have spare tall socks in the back to try, would you?" She laughs lightly as she straightens back up, stepping back to give everyone their space before turning to Sanae. "Same language... Hmm. Maybe that's why some places have such weird names. Especially in Chicago."

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
Tomoyo nods, and adds a note about a black backdrop! She listens close to Yuna's explanation, and nods, not looking at all offended. "Oh, I understand~ General patterns it is then!"

She begins making notes. For the first layer, which reacts to red, the pattern will be a garden in bloom with flowers and fruit that are red. Roses and apples and cherries, with everything that isn't red showing up black. Orange would be a bustling city street. Yellow would be a beach scene, with people playing under a hot sun. Green would be a shady forest path, light glimmering through the leaves. Blue would be under the sea, with coral and fish swimming about. Indigo would be the night sky, with a crescent moon and stars. Violet would be a field of lavenders, rustling in the wind.

Tomoyo looks a little tired from coming up with so many so fast, but pleased. "What do you think~?"

Sanae Kochiya (619) has posed:
Drawing a hand up to her mouth, Sanae just barely manages to stifle a giggle. What makes it out is more a soft exhalation. The healer's description was just so precious, she can't help herself. Placing a supportive hand on her acquaintance Sanary's shoulder, the priestess smiles, "So you like that kind of fashion?" She doesn't seem to be embarassed about her legs being checked out - though today, she's wearing more 'traditional' socks that are just below the knee, if that disappoints. "I'd wear longer socks sometimes in the old days," she describes, eyes closing as she remembers fond school times. "Or tights. Mostly when it got cold, but of course, that kind of thing can be worn just because you want to! And really, it's not uncomfortable at all."

A nod is given to the later supposition, as she once again crosses her arms in that faux-know it all manner, a confident expression on her face. "I've noticed that, even with the translation effect letting us communicate, written language still retains its unique..flavor? And there seems to be some terms that just survive, somehow. Maybe because the alternative would sound too weird."

Inga has posed:
Inga looks over toward Sanary, eyes widening slightly as Sanary eyes her legs--they're completely hidden beneath her dress but she still feels uncomfortably scrutinized.

She blinks. "Things are especially strange in Chicago? I have not found the language any stranger than others," she remarks. Inga is of course, speaking a version of old Norse. Thank goodness for mutliverse translation shenanigans.

Yuna Kagurazaka (385) has posed:
"That sounds great!" Yuna says with a bright smile after looking over Tomoyo's notes for the layers' themes.. "I'm probably gonna have to put you in touch with my manager; this sounds like something my agency should be footing the bill for ... but I'm sure it's going to be worth it! I'll have to plan a concert for here in the Tomoeda area, so you can see it in action for yourself ... and of course we'll make sure to mention your shop in the program booklet! Gotta credit the costume provider, after all."

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
Oh wow. Oh /wow/. Credit from a famous idol on her work? Tomoyo is actually bouncing on her feet here. "Oh my goodness, thank you Yuna~! That would be so so amazing!" She doesn't sound motivated by greed here, but more delight at the idea of spreading her fashion among more people.

But, she eventually composes herself, and smiles. "Okay, just one more person I believe~" She waves at Sanae. "Thank you for being so patient~ How can I help?"

Sanary Rondel has posed:
"That kind..?" Looking over at Sanae, Sanary gives her a blank look as if not entirely understanding what she means. There is a bit of embarrassment again at the smile, however, as the flustered look returns to the healer's face. "Wh-what? I've seen that look really good on other women, so I just thought..." She trails off, casting her gaze downwards while shuffling her feet.

Fighting's easy, at least. Or fixing up bullet wounds. All instinct, all standard procedures. But this? Sanary just doesn't know what to even do about this. The talk of languages does snap her out of it, at least, and she nods slowly while mulling over Sanae's and Inga's responses.

"Makes sense... I've had a lot of good food with names I can't spell, but... Chicago names are easy, but they just sound weird. Like Robert. And... Elizabeth."

Sanae Kochiya (619) has posed:
A dismissive wave of the hand is given any concern Tomoyo might have had about making Sanae wait, and the cheerful look of her face makes it certain that she's definitely not been troubled by it. "It's fine, my job is probably going to be a little bit boring, anyway, especially compared to some kind of idol hologram dress!" She'll have to make a mental note to go see it, when it's ready, but for now she doesn't want to hold things up for the other customers that will likely still be filing in, so she finally gets the cloth bag from behind her, and wonders, "First of all..uhm, do you have somewhere I can lay something out? I've brought what you might call a visual aid, but only because it would be difficult to describe the specifications, otherwise!"

Assuming that a table or some other suitably flat, clean surface can be located, she unfastens the bag and pulls out one of her usual 'shrine maiden' costumes. She carefully sets it out in roughly the same configuration as she might wear it - separate sleeves at the sides of the blouse, and all, and makes certain to smooth out any wrinkles she might have introduced in her (somewhat careless) handling. "Sorry about the wait and the inconvenience! But, you see..this is something of my work uniform! So, it can't really be 'that' different. But, like I said over the radio," she pats a hand illustratively over the bright blue, patterned skirt, "It's not very resistant to things like mud and dirt. And..well, since I don't want to stifle creativity, if you want to make it just a little fancier, then I *definitely* won't complain."

Breaking away from what passes for an order, she gives a seemingly honest smile back to Sanary's worry over how her interest might have been interpreted. "That's reason enough, isn't it? You're a woman just like they are, and there's no harm in being interested in fashion!"

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
Tomoyo moves her sketchbook from the counter to allow Sanae to lay out her outfit. She claps her hands in delight when she sees it. "Oh wow, how lovely~" Paying close attention to what the miko is saying, she grins, winks and nods. "One treatment of Nanotex, got it. And if I think of anything cute, well..."

She bundles up the costume again, very carefully, and puts it aside. "Okay~! That seems to be everyone! Now then, get in line, and I'll take your measurement~" She produces a tape measure from her apron and... well, it's amazing how such a sweet smile can seem so ghoulish in the right circumstances.

Sanae Kochiya (619) has posed:
..just a coating of polymer? There's just the slightest trace of disappointment on Sanae's face, cracking through the smile that never leaves it. But, that's the nature of business wear, isn't it? Somewhere, Kanako Yasaka is likely smiling knowingly into a cup of freshly brewed tea, knowing that her original design proved too cute for even the famed Tomoyo Daidouji to improve upon. Nonetheless, after the moment has passed, she seems pleased with the decision, and since this is one of her several spares, she doesn't see any harm in leaving it in Tomoyo's expert care. "Ah, thank you! I..I really appreciate it."

What is this feeling of dread, though, when it's time for measurements? She never really felt this kind of premonition before, even when they were being measured for school health-tracking programs. Certainly it isn't Miss Tomoyo, whom has been completely professional throughout the day. And so, it is easily dismissed, "Alright!" Then she realizes what the dread must be, as she tugs at some of the tighter spots of her old uniform, "..hopefully I haven't been snacking too much on the multiverse's delicious food. Haha~."

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Sanary chuckles again at Sanae's continued assurance, reaching back to rub the back of her neck lightly. "Yeah, you got a point there... Hmm. Wonder if I should get some of those for part of mine, then." Decisions, decisions...

Taking one more look at the shelves off to the sides, the call to take form a line for measurements drawing her attention back to Tomoyo. Unlike Sanae, however, the healer doesn't sense that same dread and actually seems relaxed about it. Truly, some terrible instincts.

"Oh, the multiverse has /great/ food. Think I might go grab a pizza after this, actually. Get some leftovers for tomorrow, finish it by dinner..." She sighs lightly as she says that, not sounding all too worried about the unhealthiness of it at all.

"Maybe get some la-sag-na on the side..." And then Sanary's in the line! Granted, she's also half-fantasizing about food at this point, but at least she's got the sense to get into the line finally.

Yuna Kagurazaka (385) has posed:
Yuna is used to having measurements taken ... although she glances around a little uncertainly. "Are we doing that in the changing booth, Tomoyo, or are you going to measure through clothes and allow for ... ?"

She trails off uncertainly. This is probably more relevant for a tight-fitting stage dress than for looser-fitting outfits, though.
