Synopsis: Lute and Sanary hang out at the Confederate Beach House.
Cast of Characters: 188, Sanary Rondel

Lute (188) has posed:
Summer isn't quite here yet. It is still, /technically/, spring. It's hard to tell this from the beautiful weather, though. The sun shines brightly upon the shores of Bayview. Occasionally, the sound of seagulls can be heard in the sky. Truly, this place looks idyllic.

Lute is currently on the upper floor of one of the beach houses, standing on the balcony as he looks out to the ocean. He is already dressed in beach gear. Specifically, a speedo. At least he still has his labcoat on. He leans against the balcony, looking across the sea. It wasn't all that long ago that he put up the post about this place even being a thing, so he doesn't expect swarms of Confederate Elites to come right away. So, he's enjoying the brief moment to himself, of just staring at the sea. Breathing in the sea air.

And then he sighs, "...I hope this gets used. Cause it'll be lonely if just I use it. And... oh dear I'm talking to myself." He shakes his head a bit, to bring himself back together.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
The morning had been busy for Sanary. Reattaching limbs, cutting off improperly reattached limbs, reattaching THOSE limbs... Lots of cutting today. Too much cutting. What better way to cut loose than to head to a Confederate beach house?

Today, Sanary's dressed in something a little more suited to casual relaxation. She's wearing a loose yellow t-shirt with a wavy lace-patterned hem in white. The shirt is comfortably loose with a black cartoon canary on the front, and it doesn't look like she's wearing the chest bindings this time around. She's not completely off-guard, of course, having her now-staple gunaxe hanging off a strap in her hand. She's also wearing a striped bikini bottom under that, actually prepared for the beach for once!

Spotting Lute from a distance, the healer takes her time in approaching to try and sneak up to the building proper. Perhaps if she could get up there somehow, she could surprise him! If only she actually had a way of getting up there without making too much noise. Instead, she just grabs onto the edge of the balcony and starts pulling herself up with hoarse grunts, looking about as flattering as one can be while exerting herself like that. "Hrnrgh... H-hey, Lute!"

Lute (188) has posed:
Despite the noise, Sanaray still takes Lute by surprise in a way. Though, not in the way she had hoped. He's just surprised she is deciding to climb up the balcony. But, after an initial look of confusion, he smiles down at her. He stretches out his arm, reaching to grab hold of her hand. Trying to give her a boost up.

"Hey, Sanary. The door /is/ open, you know. ..I mean, if you want to enter through the balcony, it's fine, but."

He's fairly teasing in his tone, but also fairly fond. Lute likes to make interesting entrances himself. Plus, he likes that bit of impulsive side that Sanary has on occasion. Still, though, he'll do whatever he can to help get her up.

And once she /is/ up, she'll give her a tight hug, and a kiss. Yeah, he's not even going to give her a chance to catch her breath before embracing her. He's glad. If anyone were to come here first, he's happiest with it being one of his girlfriends.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
"Yeah, well. You should've been on the ground floor so I could sneak up on you." Grasping Lute's hand tightly, Sanary goes up with a fair bit of effort. She muffles a surprised squeak at the sudden kiss, turning a bright red and fidgeting in place while returning it. Even with that initial shock, it's not like it's necessarily a /bad/ thing.

Still blushing when she breaks off the kiss, the healer glances around a few times to see if anyone else is about before turning back to Lute. "S-so. Uh. Been waiting long? You... Wait." She leans back a bit to look him over, suddenly looking worried.

"Have you recovered yet? If you're still supposed to be in bed, don't think I won't drag your ass back."

Lute (188) has posed:
As the kiss breaks, and as Sanary lectures him? Lute just smirks a bit. He would protest, buuut he knows that'd do no good. And so he just shakes his head a little, "Don't worry. I've been cleared for light activity. No combat yet, but n the next couple of days I should be able to. Sorry if I worried you. ...Hell, even Juno gave me a fricking earfull about that one. Annoyed that she'd have to fill out the paperwork if I died while she was piloting for me." He chuckles a bit.

He actually lifts Sanary up in his arms, pulling her along with him. He moves over towards a nice piece of patio furniture on the balcony. A lawn chair. He sits on it, and sets Sanary down on his lap. His arms around her. He smiles, holding her tight and looking out at the ocean.

"...Never got to see the ocean much as a kid. ...Partially because parents died early, and I lived in a desert country. Hard to get to the ocean when you have to walk across the desert. But loved them the moment I saw them. ...And you grew up in a farming village, so you probably never spent much time by the sea either, huh?"

He lays back, looking at the ocean, smiling. "So how have you been? School is wrapping up for you soon, right? Almost done with this term at that... Bah, why can't I remember the name of that school? Same one Souji goes to, right?"

Sanary Rondel has posed:
The grunt from Sanary is probably a good sign that she's still skeptical about Lute's condition, but she doesn't let it bother her for too long. "Well... As long as you don't do anything crazy. But just be careful, alright?" She sighs lightly and chuckles a moment later, another startled grunt escaping her at being lifted up.

"Wha-hey! Be caref... Mm." Dropping her axe to the side of the chair, she shifts about a bit before settling into Lute's lap and staring off into the sea.

"Deserts... Huh. Must be nice coming out here, then, eh?" She laughs lightly and nods, kicking off her sneakers to let her feet breathe. "Just rivers and a lake, mostly. Nothing huge like... This. Kinda wondering how deep the whole thing goes, actually..."

It's probably best not to test that. "Work's been busy, school has been... School. Still got some testing to do, but it's been a... Not too bad for my first few months going there." Another laugh. "Alexander Academy. Yeah, Souji got me in there with a scholarship or throwing money at the owners or... Something. You ever been there? Or... Just school at all?"

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute holds Sanary tight, hands wrapped around her abs. He leans his own head against the side of hers, nuzzling against her. "...Trust me. I'm fine. I'm not going to do any battles until I get cleared. I got a lot of lecturing about it all around. ...Though I appreciate the concern. Juno made sure I didn't get too hurt, though. She's a good friend. ..Going to try and get her to stop by here a /bit/ during the time we have the beachhouse. --oh, and to be clear, yeah, she's just a friend."

He looks out at the ocean a bit more, considering. "...Well. The desert was not terrible, and I still live in it. Orre is just a bit of a wasteland in general. Still has an ocean nearby, but... Yeah. This is a nice change. Really relaxing. Just. The continuing crashing of the waves is calming, huh? ...But yeah. I was fairly old when I even saw a river for the first time. And the ocean, well... It goes really deep. ...Hell, I could take you to the bottom sometime. My Tentacruel knows Dive. Creates a small barrier protecting against water. Or we could borrow a submarine."

Sanary can probably notice that Lute's breathing is calm. Incredibly so. So even if he /should/ be getting rest still? This is at least restful for him. He listens closely as she talks about school, though. Trying to make a point of remembering the school's name this time. "...Well. Good that you're getting education. It's fairly important. And... I'm sure Souji has tons of connections. And... I've not been to Alexander Academy, but I graduated from college. I /might/ visit Alexander Academy at some point. But remember, the mission I did for Serori... /really/ pissed off Kyra. Reasonably so. So not sure how welcome I'd be there with some people."

Sanary Rondel has posed:
There's a light hum at the nuzzling as she closes her eye, reaching back to pat the side of Lute's face. That's comforting, right? It worked back home. "Good boy. Yeah, Juno's great. Would be fun seeing her out here, actually... She definitely needs to relax, too." A pause, then a snicker. "You know... I actually can't see you two together. Just doesn't... Match in my head, you know?"

She strokes her chin lightly and furrows her brow at the notion of diving into the ocean to see the bottom, humming in satisfaction a few moments later. "Yeah, I think that could work. Worst case scenario, we can always float back up. Not like... Flying." She shivers briefly and curls up just a bit more, although she's still careful not to put too much weight on any particular point on Lute. "Submarine meaning... The underwater tube thing, right? Not the food. Probably... Not the food."

Stretching out across Lute's lap, Sanary takes another quick look around before turning over to nuzzle her face into his neck next. "The school's been useful, I think. Don't really get how some subjects are useful for anything, but... It's interesting! Sometimes. Mm... Well, Yari visited a while back and that went okay even though her and Cirra had fought before that." She pauses for a moment to touch her side, then waves a hand dismissively. "Hell, Kyra shot me during that fight, too. So if you just stick with me, it... Might be alright."

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute chuckles, thinking back to the first time he met Juno. That... That was an incredibly bloody experience, and she saved him. He smirks a bit, enjoying the feeling of the hand on his face. "...Well. Since she threatened to shoot me if I so much as touched her. No. No, she would not be a good match for me. I /almost/ think she might have a boyfriend, but she denies it and says it's just my ego making me think the only thing keeping her from dating me could be someone else, but ehhh. ...She definitely needs a break though. In fact I'm going to hire her for Confederate duties of scouting out the area around this beach. Meaning, give her a paid vacation."

"...And the ocean can be more dangerous than flying. But. With me, it should be safe. And yeah, a submarine is basically a car, for underwater. But it could be fun! Under the ocean is really beautiful once you get down there."

As Sanary nuzzles, Lute just holds tighter. He leans down, to kiss her on the forehead. A hand reaches into her hair a bit. And, he wraps his legs around her a little. "...Well. I'll have to visit. Worst case, well. If she tries to cause problems, it'll be her fault on this one. ...I do wanna check it out, though. Just. I'll have to be careful, and let's warn Souji before I show. Juuuust in case. ...Though, speaking of Yari, we need to drag /her/ here too."

Sanary Rondel has posed:
"That's.. .Um. That'd definitely make things harder, yeah." Laughing lightly, Sanary scratches her midsection lightly under the shirt while looking out to the sea again. So much water. So much... Stuff out there. Potentially dangerous, but a lot of relaxation! "Scouting could work, yeah... And if there's anyone actually out there, she can always fly higher and avoid the actual danger."

The thought of being in an underwater car does give her reason to pause, a skeptical hum lingering in the back of the healer's throat. "I know you'll make it safe. Aah... Yeah, maybe heading down with Kae'll be safer than the sub. Or... What about both?" She taps a finger to her chin. "We can have him in the sub with us in case it... Uh. Hits another sub or boat? I have no idea how underwater traffic works."

She laughs lightly and sighs contently at the kiss, shifting a little to raise herself to eye level with him. "Sounds like a plan. If he knows ahead of time, maybe he can help prep everyone else to... Not go nuts." She grins broadly after that. "Definitely need to bring Yari here. I can grab a pig from home, we can get some fish to fry up..."

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute slides his hand up the back of Sanary's shirt, just slightly. His hand massages at her lower back. His other hand rubs at her upper back, through her shirt. His motions are firm, massaging her muscles a bit. He knows she's been having a lot of tough things to do as well, and so helping those muscles relax would probably be good for her, he imagines.

"Well, it's more an excuse to get her time off. She's basically full time, year round, in a high stress job. ...In case you can't tell, I've been talking to her a lot recently. ...Was hoping to get more time with you, hoenstly, but hey, school is generally only for a few years? No idea what grade they put you in. But you'll graduate eventually, and then we'll have more time."

He looks towards the ocean for a second, considering the underwater adventure. A smile. Hrrm. "...well. I might ask Wo, or someone else from the Abyssal Fleet, to come along just in case. Kaelin can keep us protected mostly, though. The waters around here are pretty safe. I picked a relatively relaxing spot for this beachhouse. ...I /think/ if we go far enough out, we might even be able to see some coral reefs. And maybe some whales, and great white sharks! Should be fun, right? But yeah, for traffic, it's usually just sea life."

He stares at her eyes, smiling. Taking comfort by looking at her. "...Yeah, that sounds nice. I can catch some fish fairly easily. We'll tell Yari. She'll have a /blast/. I mean I doubt she gets much beach time, either, so. Harp is going to drop by some, too, which will be nice too. It'll be nice to be with all my friends and loved ones. ...Hell, let's make an event of the pig, maybe. Dig out a pit to cook it in on the beach. Invite lots of people."

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Sanary's eye widens at Lute's hand going to her back, then flutters shut once the massaging starts. Even if it's only a light movement, there's a /lot/ of tension in her shoulders. It doesn't take her much to just start melting and wiggling about.

"Yeeeah... She definitely needs the break. Wouldn't mind a break myself, but-oh, right there. School's... Yeah, only a couple of years. Kinda hoping to take more useful stuff like actual magic classes, though. Or combat, even. Been getting a lot of healing practice in, though!"

Grinning proudly at that last bit, the healer lets out another satisfied sigh before turning over to just lay flat across Lute's lap. "Hey, yeah... Wo could be fun to have along for that. Haven't met her yet, actually... You think she'll be okay going underwater with all the sinking talk, though?"

Her attention returns to the relaxing on the beach rather than off it fairly quickly, a mischievous grin forming on her face as she keeps shifting in place. "I'm curious now... You've got a lot of lady friends, right? What about guy friends? I don't think I've heard you ever really talk about 'em."

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute continues to cuddle against Sanary, just... staring at her. Smiling. "Well. She'll get a bit of a break if I have anything to do with it. And so will you. And... School usually isn't just combat. All of the other stuff will be useful. It's also just a way to help get your mind thinking in a lot of various different ways. If you can understand things in school, you'll learn to work out other problems in your life, too. ...But, yeah. More combat and magic would be good for you."

He looks towards teh sea for a moment, considering, "...Well. Wo /lives/ under the sea. It's a place that not... beautiful by most people's standards, but. She'll be fine for a trip to the bottom of the sea, I bet. I'll ask her soon, alright?"

And, this last question actually takes Lute off guard. He pauses, considering. That... Yeah. That actually gets a bit of a frown on his face for a second. "...I... I can't think of any close guy friends. I consider Souji a friend, but I barely know him? ...Yeah. Uh. All of my friends are women." A pause. "...I guess I just connect with women better or something?"

He is actually puzzled how this is even possible.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Sanary doesn't seem to mind the staring as she just keeps wiggling about, eventually slouching over Lute lazily once she tires herself out again. "Some of the classes are just... weird. Knowing how stuff works is interesting, but I don't know how I'll use most of it, you know?"

She follows Lute's gaze to the sea, a low hum escaping her after a few moments. "Ah, so she's always down there... But she still has to worry about sinking? Not really sure how that works, but... Eh." One shrug later, she turns around with her back stretching across Lute and her chest not-so-subtly arching at him. "Definitely sounds more fun with more people, though. I kinda wanna see what Abyssals eat, too..."

That'd definitely be something. Listening to Lte recount his male friend in the singular, the same frown crosses Sanary's face as she sits up with her face right up next to his.

"Okay. I gotta introduce you to some people, then. Souji's more like my boss, but... Hm. Gaius is kinda old, but Kilik's fun. I go to the same school as him. And there was that one time I was training with him and Mike, so maybe Mike? Weird name, I know. But he's /really/ good at punching."

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute shrugs a little, "Ehh, it's useless, until it becomes useful. Like, seriously. Random shit from I learned in school still helps. Never know when, say, you might need to calculate something." He is, obviously, struggling to think of an example off the top of his head.

"...And the sinking, well. That's only if she gets damaged. If they are beaten in battle and sink, that's... that's when it can become permenant. ...Basically, if she dies. But, for the Fleet Daughters, when /they/ sink, they become Abyssals again. It's... complicated apparently. I'm still learning all the details."

He sighs again, considering the friends thing... "...Well. I'll try and meet more. It's not like I feel lonely at least. Hell, I've been doing pretty well overall. ...Plus, let's be honest. I enjoy being in the presence of beautiful women."

     A pause.

     "...And, speaking of which."

And Lute moves his head in, leaning to kiss Sanary. Deeply. His arms wrap around her. And he just... enjoys.
