Cast of Characters: Tomoe, 782, 802

James Rogers (802) has posed:
In some other reality, called Earth-555326 by some, a version of the planet Earth dutifully rotates on its axis and orbits the sun as it has for eons until what ever eldrich forces are behind the Multiverse reach out and pluck it from its place, peels it like a fresh orange and lays out its continents like islands in the oceanic realm known as The Archipelagos.

On this world alarms sound in the Antarctic Citadel of the Avengers as the entire planet quakes for a moment. While aftershocks are felt the team scrambles to see what is going on and to answer various calls for help. Their mentor and adoptive father rushes to the bases' computer systems to try to locate their android friend and teacher -- The Vision -- who had been in Low Earth Orbit to spy out Ultron's location and confirm he was still drifting listlissly. The rest of the team scatters to check on communities dependent on them -- Hawkeye and Pym taking one quinjet to fly to Austrailia while Azari and Torunn take another to South America. James, seeing that Tony is contacting those communities to far away to fly to immediately in a quinjet, heads out into the jungles of the Savage Land to check on the status of the nearby, friendly village of Zebra People. (OOC: http://marvel.wikia.com/Zebra_People)

For the rest of the Multiverse this is almost a non-event. Both of the major factions computers record the occurrance however and there is always the possibility of a response.

James Rogers (802) has posed:
Earth-555326 is one of the miraid of Earths on the surface of the Multiverse. This one is a collection of island-continents with Antarctica in the center in deeper parts of the archipelago sea. Africa and Austraila are 'Multiverse North' of Antarctica, with Eurasia north of them of course, while South America, and North America beyond that, lie in the other direction. Large swaths of Asia, Europe and North America are dominated by glistening metal cities visible like scars even at high altitudes and mirrored to a smaller extent on South America and Africa. At night these metalic sprawls are the only source of light that can be seen from high altitude. In addition to the metal cities, scanners can detect signs of ultra technology coming from Antarctica, specifically near Alexander Island.

Golden (782) has posed:
Through the warpgate hops a small round figure, golden in color and obviously cybernetic or artificial. He's not sure how new this place is, since jungles tend to all look alike until the wildlife shows itself. Or ruins of ancient civilizations. Or evil white apes. Definitely don't want to deal with the apes again.
Golden glances about for any landmarks he can use to get back to the warp gate later, to this end climbing a tree to see what's around.

Tomoe has posed:
Tomoe had not been out as much as she'd like but here she was checking out a new location and she's flying and enjoying it she just neded to get well a bit of time out and hs taken to the skies on her red translucent wings almost looking like some sort of warrior angel.

James Rogers (802) has posed:
The skies above the Savage Land are not empty. Birds and pterodactyls are often seen as are the occasional winged humanoids -- of which there are three varieties, but they rarely approach the area of the citadel.

On the ground, the ground growth around the tree Golden is climbing rustles and a small flock of compsognathus burst out of the brush running across a game trail only to be set upon by a lion-sized dire wolf who, after catching one of the reptiles in its powerful jaws, dives back into the undergrowth it lept out of retreating a distance to noisly consume its meal.

As the flock flees following the ambush and loss of a member, James can be seen cautiously jogging along the trail decked out in his uniform and brandishing his faintly glowing shield on his left arm.

Golden (782) has posed:
Golden guesses that the citadel is probably the place to be, and heads that way, hopping from tree-top to tree-top to avoid large predators like the giant dire wolf. That could cause him some trouble. Sure, he could probably handle things, but eh, why hassle if he can avoid it? He parallels the trail the dire wolf followed.
Oh, there's a person? Huh. He hops to a convenient branch and shouts down to below. "Hey, where is this place?"

Tomoe has posed:
Tomoe had not expected to encounter dinosaurs to be sure but well there is one. She is curious about the citadel and makes fo it she keeps a slow speed not wanting to be seen as hostile. She does however joy ride however she does spot someone below and banks unaware she's making way towards James and Golden. So she would be easy enough to spot coming in from above.

James Rogers (802) has posed:
James comes to a quick stop when he hears the voice from the trees above him and looks about. Upon seeing Golden he immediately shifts into a defensive position as he examines the little guy better. "This is the Savage Land," he says, and then asks, "You're not from around here, who are you?"

Golden (782) has posed:
Golden hrms. "Yeah, I'm not. And you're probably new to the Multiverse, or you'd expect weirder things than giant wolves, dinosaurs, and flying armored women." He points to the incoming Tomoe. "Might wanna secure your warp gate before the really awful stuff leaks through. I'm just a wandering monster. Er... not the kind that eats people, but you catch my meaning right?"

Tomoe has posed:
Tomoe also looks like some kind of elf from the ears and the armor? Is she some ort of Paladin? She now comes in for a landing and doesn't go for the sword that's across her backs. She's also tall over six feet and that's not counting the heels from her boots eithere.

"Good to explain it some people might not catch it."

She almost might not have caught it given how she is.

"So you say this is the savage lands?"

James Rogers (802) has posed:
James actually had /not/ noticed Tomoe's approach until Golden points her out. He does not seem surprised about a flying woman. "Yeah, Savage Lands," he says annunciating the capital letters audibly. But he is also smiling at her first comment and nods then says, "It is an important distinction." He takes a moment to observe the explination and then says, "So that earthquake was bigger than we thought...?"

Golden (782) has posed:
Golden hops down from the tree near James. "Dunno about an earthquake, but you're probably somewhere in the Multiverse now. Big place, lots of other worlds that got smooshed together. Unless it's mine, which was dead and dying right before the warp gates opened..."
The little digimon shrugs. "They call me Golden." He says by way of introduction.

Tomoe has posed:
Tomoe Says "I get it these are The Savage Lands not just savage lands. Odd name for a region but I saw Dinosaurs, so I can't exactly discount that. Yes welcme to the multiverse as odd as this is going to sound. I am Tomoe the Iron Lily."

James Rogers (802) has posed:
James nods at the explination and then repeats the names before saying, "I'm James Rogers, an Avenger." He relaxes his defensive stance and slings his shield over his shoulder. "Multiverse. Warp gates. Right...." he says with a final glance at Golden. "Its called that because very little of the world was as wild and untamed as this when it was discovered.... and yes, that does sound weird, but I grew up on stories of the wierd," he says addressing Tomoe.

A distant roar is heard and James looks in that direction briefly. "We should get out of the jungle. Care to come to the Citadel?"

Golden (782) has posed:
Golden nods. "Sounds like a plan, boss. Lead the way." And Golden follows James, not wanting to be eaten.

Tomoe has posed:
Tomoe is a bit of an odd thing should anyone have the ability to smell, Tomoe has no sent of her own at all. She listens as the young man brings up stories about strangeness.

"I was planning to head there until I spotted you. So please lead on."

James Rogers (802) has posed:
James guides Golden and Tomoe along the path and into the cleared area around the citadel and then up to an entrance. As they approach an man's voice is heard from the walls of the building: "James, JOCASTA is detecting that the two individuals with you are armed." There's a pause and the voice adds, "Also one of them is... The sensors seem to be glitching when scanning the smaller of them."

"Yeah, Tony, there's a Rex stalking near by though so I can't just leave them outside while you tinker with JOCASTA," he says towards the building and then says, "Lets get inside. The building's armed though so don't attack me or it, alright?" He seems to feel ok with this and stands by the doorway to let his guests enter first.

Golden (782) has posed:
The high-tech scanner causes his visual form to glitch briefly, pixelating him and giving JOCASTA those weird readings. Parts of him get overlaid with panels of something else. JOCASTA might read the little digimon as being data given a physical form, which may not make sense.
Golden looks around, shuddering. "Man, I hate it when that happens. Feels really weird. Like somebody's trying to take me apart."
To James he nods. "Not a problem. Kind of rude to attack your host, so... unless you plan to dissect me or something, we're good. Unless you guys want some rex steaks or something. I could fix that with some energy bombs to the Rex's head."

Tomoe has posed:
Tomoe follows after James keeping herself quite but alert for a moment. She totally is armed but well if she's asked to disarm this might be a bit troublesome to do. She listens and nods. "I wasn't coming to pick a fight." She also ahs a way out if things go bad. She looks to golden for a moment. Tilting her head a little bit bit not saying anything.

James Rogers (802) has posed:
As the trio enter the building James closes the entrance behind them. Tony Stark's voice comes into the room, its the same person who spoke before, but this time it is accompanied by a holographic projection -- this Tony is older than the one in the Union, white hair worn long to the right and a white mustache and goatee; but despite the added age anyone who has met Iron Man out of his armor will recognize that this is the same man. "James, JOCASTA figured it out. They are both some sort of physical data constructs. Just in case we're keeping them under watch."

James looks at the two again as if examining them anew. "Understood, Tony," he says to the hologram which then disipates. Then two the two of them he says, "Are you computer projections or real people behind projections or... what are you?"

Golden (782) has posed:
Golden blinks. "I'm a digital monster, and as far as I know I'm real like you. Just like, permanently crippled because of the apocalyptic war my Digital World had. The bigwigs in charge released a.. hrm. Plague? It ate like ninety-nine percent of the digimon and the computer in charge sent in its elites and hordes to finish the job. Real ugly time, lemme tell you. You survived by being picked by the computer to live, getting your hands on the anti-virus, or being a tough bastard like me."
He looks at his damaged form. "Even then, you don't get out without some scars... or even looking like you used to."

Tomoe has posed:
Tomoe smirks a little bit at James as he seems to have figured it out. She tilts her head a little bit.

"Yes this is a projection caused by a region of the multiverse known as the datacore. Where the material and data bleed together. So yes this is just my avatar, I'm not actually here save mentally."

James Rogers (802) has posed:
Some people might be offended -- hopefully digimon aren't that sensitive -- some people might think it is cute... James unconsciously scoots ever so slightly closer to Tomoe as he says to her, "So you're a person though, somewhere." He then says, as an attempt to explain his wariness, "My parents were killed by a rogue robot that went on to subjugate most of the world." He takes a deep breath and then asks, "So, you are from a computer but you're... like a digital life form then, Golden?"

Tomoe has posed:
Tomoe says "Yes, I'm real. The subject of what is people in the multiverse is a very vast subject as after all organic life let alone humans are not the only deal in town. I heard race that's silicon based. I'm also sorry for your loss...I had my own issues with an AI. Humm so you don't have a map of the local region, right?"

Golden (782) has posed:
Golden shrugs. "Probably? Look kid, I didn't study the great mystery of how the Digital World came to be, I just beat the crap out of troublemakers who picked on the defenseless."
Golden looks around. "You should probably tell your buddies to secure the warp gate as soon as possible. There's a whole lot of grumpy people who'd love nothing more than to grind you all under their jack boots. You know, instead of worrying about your native robot uprising, worry about the foreign ones that can come through a choke point."

James Rogers (802) has posed:
"Well, my buddies are off checking on things in other parts of the world, its just me and Tony right now." James says to Golden and then, answering Tomoe's question he says, "We actually have a pretty detailed map of the Savage Lands... but that's not what you mean, is it?"

Golden (782) has posed:
Golden looks around. "Yeah, I got no clue how the unification thing actually works."
He glances back at the way they came. "Though I guess warp gates turn up on their own when places get unified."

Tomoe has posed:
Tomoe says "I mean the multiverse itself the local sector of it. Yes warp gates form as a legacy of the beings who made the multiverse or so I know. It was before my time. What I was speaking of was a local map of the multiverse. I won't lit there is conflict in it, a whole lot of it. Also there are those who might try to recuit that AI you mentioned into their ranks."

James Rogers (802) has posed:
James just looks back and forth between the two of them and then says, "Tell me more about this conflict. What are the sides and what are the stakes, expecially."

Golden (782) has posed:
Golden uhs... "I'm not affiliated with either one. Did my war stint before, saw a lot of people die. But basically."
"There's the Confederacy, which has a lot of ruthless types running it. Then there's the Union, which has a lot of heroic types running it. I mean, people being how they are, you get good and bad eggs in either side. But the Union attracts more heroic types, and the Confedercy attracts more villanous types. I don't even know what the Syndicate's deal is. Information I guess?"

Tomoe has posed:
Tomoe Says "It's an honesly long and old polical mess that predates my own world's unification to be honest James. The best way to think of it there's two major parties in this sector of the multivese with another notable third. The Third party is easy enough it's called the Syndicate it's basically a information guild and communication network for mercs and adventuring sorts. The other two are more complicated there's the Union and the Confederacy, no nothing to do with the American Civil War if you heard of that."

She look for a spot ti lean against the wall.

"I'm going to suggest you get access to a public information network to also look up the information yourself. It be poor form to try to direct you to one group or another. On that note I'm an ally of the Union. Golden has don a veyr basic summary. There's a few in the Feds I owe my life to so it's complex in that respect. The Confeds don't care about what their members tend to do on their homeworlds, baring a few things. The Union has certain standards it generally holds it's direct personel to. They are also not as expansionistic as the Confederates."

James Rogers (802) has posed:
James nods but before he can speak again Tony's voice and holographic projection cuts in again.

Tony says, "James, you should go find out more about the world we are in now. I've recalled the rest of the Avengers and sent apologies to our allies for having to tighten down the hatches for the moment."

James nods and says, "I'd suggest you let them know to keep an eye out for these warp gates also," to Tony. He then asks Golden and Tomoe, "Can these warp gates pass vehicles and, if so, would either of you care for a ride past a roving carnasaur?"
