Souji Murasame (627) has posed:
Cirra Constantine was paid a fairly sizable sum of nuyen for the killing of a member of the Death's Head Gang.

The problem is Cirra never claimed the bounty. It was paid to her automatically. And when things like this happen, Cirra doesn't take things lying down. She hits the streets.

The streets, in this case, being a Syndicate-owned escrow service named Securus Security And Financial Services, Inc. Based out of Techno Urbania, it styles itself as a small and personal security provider that also handles the tedious issue of ensuring that people who hunt bounties get paid for them. Cirra's tracking brings her to the brickwork 4-floor office building that they occupy. The windows are locked and look to be reinforced at a glance. There are cameras at the top of the building on all four corners. There is the front entrance, and what looks like an employee entrance along the back (as well as the employee parking lot). The employee entrance is locked with a keypad, and the parking lot is fenced off with barbed wire and an automated gate, the latter also with a keypad.

Cirra Constantine (675) has posed:
Cirra walks through techno urbania with her eyes forward. Security cameras everywhere. She's got little choice in the matter. She could rip the employee door off it's hinges, but that'll be caught on tape, and she can't cover all the cameras at once.

Cirra tucks her hair up under a pageboy cap and heads directly to the front door, pulling it open.

Souji Murasame (627) has posed:
Cirra walks in the front door.

The lobby of the building is a comfortable affair with carpet and armchairs, a flatscreen TV showing a a looping advertisement for the services of Securus. There is a keycard-locked door to enter the building proper. The receptionist is a professional-looking woman in a blouse and skirt who is speaking on the phone as she enters. "Yes, your appointment is confirmed. Thank you, we'll be seeing you soon!"

She hangs up and looks over to Cirra. "Welcome to Securus Security and Financial Services. How can we help you?"

Cirra Constantine (675) has posed:
Cirra steps towards the receptionist. "Yes, I'd like to enquire about your services. Possibly open an account." she glances around slightly. "That is to say, if your services are discreet."

Souji Murasame (627) has posed:
The receptionist nods and smiles. "Indeed! Securus acts as a liason between those who need security services and people who can fulfill those needs. We also feature as a clearinghouse for the collection of oustanding bounties. We are licensed by the Syndicate, so you can count on our discretion." She provides a pamphlet full of statistics and marketingspeak. It looks like it's been professionally done, at least.

"We pride ourselves on ensuring that anonymity is preserved in all situations that it is desired. Some people prefer notoriety, while others are content to simply get the job done."

Cirra Constantine (675) has posed:
Cirra takes the pamphlet, at least this doesn't seem like some fly-by-night operation. Too bad for her.

"I see. This all seems impressive." She pauses, "What sort of purson would want notriety in this day and age?"

Souji Murasame (627) has posed:
The woman gestures. "Remember the clientele we serve. Some bounty hunters wish their names to strike fear into their clients, and build reputations based on their name alone. But they are also a diverse lot. Some of them have more... complicated needs than others." The woman folds her hands. "But you can be sure that we will strive to do our utmost in meeting your requirements."

Cirra Constantine (675) has posed:
Cirra hmns, and nods. "This may seem like a strange request but, most of my ability to provide funds isn't... shall we say liquid." She takes a small earth crystall out of her pocket and places it on the receptionist's desk. It looks a lot like an emerald.

"So of course I can't transfer these digitaly. I would have to somehow leave them in your care, and that concerns me a great deal."

Souji Murasame (627) has posed:
The woman looks at the gem, and her eyes light up. "Oh, very fancy." She replies. "You can be sure that any transfers of physical currency can be handled by our team of trained professionals. We deal with accredited exchange facilities to allow your contributions to be either stored as a digital balance in our accounts, or transferred to any other form you might wish." Man, is there nothing she doesn't have an answer for?

Cirra Constantine (675) has posed:
5r5tCirra frowns slightly, spinning the crystal on the desk. "I'm not entirely sure that's suffcient. Curency conversions, exchange rates. They change all the time. And some of the people I deal with, well. They *prefer* this." She holds the crystal up again.

Souji Murasame (627) has posed:
There is a pause from the receptionist, as if she is not really as enthusiastic about dealing with this topic, but she replies nonetheless. "If you require that the money exchange be provided in such a form, I am sure we can perform this service. I am sorry, I am unfamiliar with the official name of this currency..." She says, turning to her computer. "Could you tell me? In the meantime, we can ensure that the money is held securely."

Cirra Constantine (675) has posed:
Cirra grimeces for effect as the receptionist tries to get around the issue. "Crystals. But, I think I'd like to understand how you handel a transfer of this kind, or any kind better before I make a decision."

Souji Murasame (627) has posed:
The Receptionist pauses once more, and looks back to Cirra. For a moment it looks like her professional facade might crack in front of one of /those/ customers. However, she recovers quickly, and smiles, nodding. "Of course! Allow me to show you the process. Please sign in on the guestbook and we will proceed." The receptionist gestures to a visitor's log that requests name and time.

Once that is done, the receptionist produces a keycard and presses it to the pad. The pad beeps, presumably from some RFID chip, and she opens the door, escorting Cirra into the building proper.

Inside, there are halls proceeding in several directions, with an elevator and stairwell about halfway down the forward hall. "Arrangements are made to deliver the currency on site using either a client's preferred method or our own armored transport." She walks to the elevator, and uses her keycard again. The elevator chimes, stirring to life. "Once delivered, our onsite vault will keep the money safe until it is to be claimed." There is a little bit of time while waiting for the elevator. The receptionist seems impatient and distracted, waiting for this to move along.

Cirra Constantine (675) has posed:
Cirra signs the guestbook 'Frar Ar'. A completely fictional, stupid name that is none the less probably in use in Galianda somewhere, then puts an incorrect time in the second column before closing the book.

Cirra follows the recptionist through the door. "Adaptable, I can apreciate that. Are there any premiums for such a service?" she glances at the card as it opens the elevator. There are similar MP-ID cards in Galianda. "And on sight vault? You don't do things by halves."

Souji Murasame (627) has posed:
"You would be surprised how many people try to pull things on us, despite our backing." The receptionist replies. "Everyone thinks that just because you're an enabler to help people with bounties, you're fair game for scum."

The elevator opens, and the woman steps in, awaiting Cirra to join her. Once Cirra does, she hits the button and the elevator heads down for some time. Cirra notes that the elevator itself appears to be heavy duty, clearly reinforced to handle heavy things.

The elevator heads downwards doe some time, and when the doors open, Cirra is faced with a security checkpoint immediately outside the door. Beyond that, a large, massively thick vault door is seen standing open as some uniformed employees walk in with briefcases. "And this is where it is stored. Impressive, isn't it?"

Cirra Constantine (675) has posed:
Cirra glances around and nods apreciatevly, looking around as much as she can to help complete her mental map of the place. The direction the employees are going must be where the back entrance is, probably past another elevator."It is." She pauses.

"From here." she purses her lips. She doesn't approach the security checkpoint, they'll be much more through then the guestbook upstairs.

Souji Murasame (627) has posed:
The receptionist doesn't even bother stepping off of the elevator. She hits another button, and the elevator rises once again.

A minute later, they're back in the reception area, and the receptionist sits down again. "So, I trust that helped to ease your worries?" She asks.

Cirra Constantine (675) has posed:
Cirra nods slightly. "It does. Thank you." she turns towards the door. "I'll have to go and pick up the deposit, make arrangements with where it's currently stored. "Thank you for your time."

She heads towards the door. "It may take a few days, so try not to worry about when I'm returning." She pushes open the door and steps outside without letting th receptionist hassel her for a name or anything.

Once far enough outside she takes out her ToneBerry and checks two applications. An automatic inertial maping and compass to get the layout that she saw, and GilFinder.

It helps you find lost Gil coins.

Souji Murasame (627) has posed:
The Receptionist gives a wave as Cirra leaves, likely before posting SUCH the story on NotAlwaysRight.com.

Meanwhile, Cirra begins checking her apps. Her mapping gives her a solid, accurate picture of where she was. Automapping is awesome. However, GilFinder reports that there's no Gil found.

Either that vault is magically warded too, or there's no Gil in that vault.
