Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
Sadly, the sticky humidity associated with Japanese summers is creeping back into Tomoeda. Fans, both handheld and electronic are being used once more as air conditioners strain the electrical grid to keep everyone cool. The sun hangs mercilessly in the sky, making the air shimmer.

Tomoyo remains cooped up in her Boutique after school was let out, enjoying the cool interior and sketching out some new designs for display as she awaits any customers that might arrive.

Sarah Rogers (796) has posed:
Sarah lets out a sigh of relief as she enters the Boutique, "Whew. It's *so* much nicer in here!" She smiles and looks around until she spots Tomoyo, "Hi! I got your message that my outfits were ready. I'll be honest, I was trying very hard to not call you every day to ask if they were ready yet."

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
The bell above the door goes off as Sarah makes her entrance! Tomoyo looks up from her sketchbook and smiles at the other girl, waving! "Hi Sarah!" She quickly tucks the sketchbook away and nods. "Mmhm, they're done! Give me a moment and I'll go get them~"

Quickly up the stairs she goes, returning soon after carrying two plastic bags that are attached to coat hangers. Smiling, she hands them across the counter to the future Avenger. "Oh, I wouldn't have minded~ I appreciate that kind of enthusiasm!" She giggles, and gestures at something behind Sarah.

"Dressing rooms are back there. And don't worry, I haven't forgotten about the heel-walking lessons."

Sarah Rogers (796) has posed:
"You're way too nice." Sarah says with a smirk, also a note of suspicion in her voice. "The word is that you've had quite the backlog lately. Those phone calls have to get annoying at some point!" She muses.

Sarah takes the formal outfit first. It's the one with sneakers oddly enough, and disappears into the dressing room to try it on.

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
Tomoyo just smiles pleasantly at Sarah's words. "You say that like it's a bad thing!" She certainly doesn't seem to be plotting anything here... "A backlog is just a sign that my business is doing well, and that people like my wares. How can I not be happy about that~?"

But, into the dressing room! The formal outfit consists of a purple blouse, a very good recreation of the one Sarah used to own! Along with it is that long skirt, black with a white pattern sewn on top of it in braided wool, terribly fancy with lots of swirls and criss-crossing patterns. The sneakers are purple, with white toes, soles and laces.

Tomoyo waits outside the dressing room with the other outfit and a camera ready!

Sarah Rogers (796) has posed:
Sarah steps out a few minutes later and does a slow 360 turn for Tomoyo with a big grin on he face, "I love it!" She beams. "And maybe next time, I might try the idea you had with the actual holes in the skirt." She blushes faintly, "Maybe.."

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
Tomoyo snaps several photos as Sarah emerges, beaming with delight. "Oh you look stunning! I can see why you liked that blouse so much, it suits you really well." She walks over and shows the girl the pictures of her in the outfit. "You see? You're no 'lost cause,' you look wonderful!"

She hands over the next outfit now, the one with the dreaded heels. "Here, now try this one, while I go get a pair of heels for the lesson~" She walks off, heading back upstairs.

Sarah Rogers (796) has posed:
Sarah forces herself not to blush. If they're like the drawing they barely count as heels. Surely she's making too big a deal out of this. She disappears back into the dressing room. She's quite careful about hanging the first outfit back up, where as the average teen might toss it on the floor even if they liked it!

A few minutes later she emerges again. It's all over face that she's absolutely in love with this one. Even taking into account the fact that she's she's only wearing socks on her feet. She's left the denim vest open and traces her fingers along the storm-cloud pattern of her shirt while looking in the mirror, then swivels her hips a bit to get the denim skirt to flare out.

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
The outfit fits quite well! Despite being acid-washed, the denim vest anfd skirt are still quite sturdy and snug. The lightning bolt on the black shirt illuminates the clouds around it, a few more errant flashes here and there on it at Sarah's request. And the boots have been carefully made to cradle her feet, the heels low enough to not cause much discomfort.

Tomoyo soon comes down the stairs, wearing a pair of simple heels herself! "Okay, here's what you need to do~ Small steps, put your heel down first, then your toe. Maintain your posture, with head up and shoulders straight!" She does a quick demonstration, walking quite gracefully across the store.

Sarah Rogers (796) has posed:
Sarah sits down in mid air for a moment so as to slip the cowgirl boots on as quickly as possible, then lets herself land with a bit of a *thunk* to show that she's not cheating.

"You sound like my Mom.." She teases, "And no slouching right?" She smirks, then takes an experimental step after watching Tomoyo make it look easy. She shuffles forward a couple more times, trying to work it out. "This feels weird..."

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
Tomoyo giggles. "I'm just repeating why my Mom told me~ I guess they would get along great!" She nods, watching as Sarah kind of shuffles. Thankfully, the inside of the boots have been carefully cushioned to minimize discomfort. "Lift your feet a bit more," she suggests.

Sarah Rogers (796) has posed:
"Well I fully intend to get back in touch with my Mom one of these days.. maybe they cam meet someday." Sarah offers hopefully. She takes a couple more cautious steps, careful to lift her feet as instructed, "These feel really nice even if walking in them is weird!" She remarks, trying to strike out a little more daringly with the next step. "I guess the real trick is to trust that your heel's going to land solidly despite the fact that it feels like it's not all the way down yet?"

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
"Aww! I hope you do. Apparently a lot of girls our age start having issues with their moms, but I really love mine! She's the one who gave me the loan to open this place." She smiles softly, putting a hand to her cheek.

"But um! Yes, that's the general idea~ Don't worry, wedge heels are sturdy, and this one is so low that it's not likely to snap unless you step on a really weird angle."

Sarah Rogers (796) has posed:
"I've heard that, but I grew up in a pretty small community. There just wasn't that much to rebel against. Some of the kids did find a way though." Sarah ponders. "My parents were both really mature, though I think my Dad was a little annoyed at how much of my mother rubbed off on me." She grins.

She starts to pace across the room a little faster now. "Hopefully your Mom's thrilled with your success? Y'know I'm liking these boots more and more.. they're less intimidating once you get used to them And they're kinda... sexy." She blushes for just a moment.

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
Tomoyo giggles. "I guess kids will always find a way to act out, huh? I think the best kind of parents are the sort who let them express their budding maturity in reasonable ways though..." She smiles at Sarah's next comment, and acts as if she was about to say something, but thought better of it.

She seems pleased at Sarah picks up the pace, clapping her hands together. "Well, she is! I've proven that it won't affect my grades too, so that's one major worry she had dealt with~ But she is still worried that involving myself with Elites might get me in trouble... I guess she was right on that one. Eheh..." She rubs the back of her head awkwardly.

She smiles as Sarah blushes. "It's okay to feel that way! Everyone deserves to feel good about how they look~"

Sarah Rogers (796) has posed:
Sarah looks at Tomoyo curiously, wondering what got left unsaid, then pauses and blinks at her next statement, "Wait.. you're still in school? like, High School?" I thought you just *looked* young because you're.. y'know, short and Japanese." She says apologeically. "Anyway, if any Elite's are giving you trouble, let me know and I'll make sure they change their minds!" She punches her hand as she speaks.

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
Tomoyo nods! "In my first year of high school!" She giggles, and places a hand on her cheek. "I'll take that as a compliment~ I'm 15, actually. 16 in a few months!" She nods and smiles thankfully. "I'll keep that in mind, thank you~"

"But, it looks like you got it down! Just wear them a lot and you'll have no problems later on." She goes behind the counter and rattles off a terribly reasonable price for the two outfits! "Do you want to wear it out, or have me rebag it~?"

Sarah Rogers (796) has posed:
Sarah gives an impressed whistle, "You're very mature for 15.. Hell for most adults even." She smirks. "This one I'm definitely wearing out." She beams, "Walking in these boots some more will be good practice anyway." As she talks she heads back into the dressing room, gathers up her Crusader outfit and Shield, and brings the blouse and skirt outfit up to the counter. She quietly writes in a 40% tip after swiping her chip. She's got some extra money after a salvage mission to the moon last month.

"Is there anything else I should know? Special washing instructions or something like that?"

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
Tomoyo notes the tip and smiles gratefully. "Thank you~ And no, nothing special! I always hated clothes that needed to be taken care of so much. Something can be fashionable without so much extra work on upkeep!" Seems Sarah might have touched a nerve here.

"But anyway, I'm glad you like them~ Please, come again! And tell your friends too!"

Sarah Rogers (796) has posed:
"I definately will!" Sarah says earnestly. "So far I love your approach to fashion. Elegant doesn't have to be complicated." She quirks a brow, "Sounds like you've had a few interesting trips the cleaner's too hmm? Anyway I don;t want to keep you from your business any longer than needed. Thank you so much!
