Synopsis: James Rogers picks up his outfits, just in time for the WMAT!
Cast of Characters: Tomoyo Daidouji, 802

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
Tomoeda is wrapped in a layer of gray clouds today, not thick enough to threaten rain, but enough to trap the day's heat, contributing further to the sticky summer warmth that permutes throughout the city.

In some places, students would be using the Saturday to dodge the heat however they can. Going swimming, planting themselves in front of the air conditioning. But this is Japan, so students without club activities are milling back home, eager to get out of their sweaty uniforms.

Tomoyo does have the choir club, but has that special privilege that only being reliable can bring! She gets to skip and practices her solo sections on her own time. At present, she's managing her store, reading over the sheet music for a new song.

James Rogers (802) has posed:
Unlike his last visit to Tomoeda, James chose to leave his quinjet behind. He walked though the warpgate in Tomoeda -- decked out in his uniform and bearing his shield upon his back -- and started walking from there to Tomoyo's shop. The first thing he does though, even as he is walking, is to unzip the jacket and fold it open (exposing a plain white t-shirt beneath) as the heat almost immediately gets to him.

Along the way he stops by a street vendor and picks up bacon-stuffed okonomiyaki -- breakfast for him -- and then continues along the way towards the clothier's shop. Upon arriving at the shop he pushes open the door and, stepping inside, says, "Hello Daidouji-San. I got your message that my outfits were ready."

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
Tomoyo looks up as the bell above the door jingles, rung by James' arrival. As he enters, a blast of cool, conditioned air would strike him! She smiles and bows her head. "Hello James-kun~ No need to be so formal, we're all Unionites here!"

She smiles and nods! "Both done, yes! I know it's a little close to the WMAT, but just in time, right~? I'll be right back." She zips up the stairs behind the counter, sturdy shoes making some rather heavy 'thuds' as she ascends and soon descends, bearing two plastic bags on clothing racks.

"Here they are!" She beams serenely and passes them across the counter. "The dressing rooms are behind you," she adds, gesturing to the opposite wall where three dressing rooms have been made, purple privacy curtains drawn.

"My male assistant isn't in at this time, but they shouldn't be too hard to put on~"

James Rogers (802) has posed:
"Yeah, its perfectly fine," James says, adding, "I'm in Bracket A so my bouts don't begin this week," as he takes the outfits from Tomoyo with a smile.

He smiles at the comment about the absent assistant. "I'm not worried about it," he says as he steps into the changing room. Before pulling the curtain closed he asks, "Do you care which outfit I try first?" as he removes the shield from the magnetic coupler holding it against his back and sets it down in the corner of the changing room.

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
"Oh! Well, just more time to train and prepare, right~?" Tomoyo says encouragingly. "You'll do great!" She doesn't want to say that he'll certainly win, because Shigure is also in that bracket... he might still win, but she doesn't want to show favouritism between her beloved customers~

"Oh! Um, I really like the combat outfit, so maybe that one?" The bag containing it is marked as such in red marker. It contains a long-sleeved top in a nice dark red, with the Avengers 'A' on the back and a star over the heart, both in white. On the shoulders are epaulettes like what a military jacket would have. The tassels alternate between red and white, with the body being blue with white stars. The pants are black cargo pants, with several loops and pockets for carrying gear. A white belt with a clasp modelled after his shield is included to hold them up. Brown combat boots with brown laces and thick soles sit at the bottom. Finally, a pair of red-tinted goggles are wrapped in bubble-wrap to keep them safe.

James Rogers (802) has posed:
Behind the purple privacy curtain, James strips down to his v-neck style undershirt which had been exposed by the opening of his jacket, a pair of equally white boxer shorts and white tube socks. "Alright," he says as he pops the resealable plastic zipper on the combat outfit. He starts with the pants, balancing on one leg then the other to start putting it on and then hopping for a moment to pull them up as if he is used to pulling pants on while laying on a bed and is taking a similar motion while standing up. After smoothing the cotton boxers beneath the pants he sits down and puts on the boots, tightening the laces after stomping his heels in properly.

"Shoes are a bit tight, but that's to be expected with new ones," James says as he pulls out the goggles and puts them on. "I'll wear them this next week and break them in," he adds as he steps though the curtain while pulling the top on, his head popping up though the neckhole as she curtain falls back into place behind him. Before striking a heroic pose -- arms akimbo and feet placed sturdily beneath his shoulders -- he tugs down the top doing what some people refer to as 'The Picard Maneuver'.

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
Tomoyo is waiting when James emerges from the dressing room with a camera raised! When he strikes a pose, she snaps a photo, smiling softly. "Another picture for the wall~" she says contently, turning the camera so James can see the photo on the screen.

"But, let's see the casual one too!" she says, gesturing at the other wrapped outfit. Should James open this one, he would find that it contains a ribbed white muscle top, one that would leave his arms bare, leaving nothing of his toned upper body to the imagination. A pair of black fingerless gloves go with it, some metal studs on the knuckles. For him to wear on his legs are a pair of acid-washed skinny jeans, with a plain brown belt with silver clasp. The shoes are red, white and blue running shoes. Also, there is something in there that wasn't on the original sketch, a pair of silver dogtags with James' name on one side and the Avengers logo on the other side.

"So, your first opponents are... a Madeline Vance and a Rhapsody... got any special training planned for them?" Tomoyo asks conversationally as James dresses.

James Rogers (802) has posed:
James returns to the changing room and removes the combat outfit, carefully folding the items and returning them to the bag they came from. He then pulls out the casual outfit and pulls off his undershirt before beginning to dress in the new clothes. He struggles with the jeans -- having never worn skinny jeans -- but manages to shimmy them up his legs and over his hips. "Hey, those are cool," he says regardinig the dogtags. As he pulls on the tank top and the shoes he asks though the curtain, "Any chance I could get similar dogtags for Sarah?"

After tying the shoes he steps out thought he curtain and, holding his arms out to the side with the palms of his hands facing upward, slowly turns around to show it off. "Is it as good on me as it was in theory?" he asks.

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
Tomoyo giggles. "The dogtags came to me as I was working on it. I figured they would look cool sitting above the tank top." When James emerges, she politely claps and snaps another photo.

"I can make Sarah some too, sure~ And of course it is!" She clenches her fist, a light in her eyes. "All my customers always end up looking good! That's because it's an outfit made for you!" Suddenly, she pauses and covers her mouth.

"Er, got a little carried away~ Yes, you look great! The 'semi-bad boy' look actually suits you pretty well." Again, she shows James the photo she snapped.

James Rogers (802) has posed:
"Eh, you're allowed to get excited," James says dismissing Tomoyo's own dismissal, "You do good work."

After leaning closer to look at the picture he nods and says, "It does look good, doesn't it?" and then returns to the question she asked about his opponents. "I actually don't know much about them so I'm not sure how I can prepare. Do you know anyone I should talk to about either of them? I know that Rhapsody is a Union Ally though... and I believe that I found that Ms. Vance is an officer in the Confederacy, right?"

He also asks, somewhat conspiratiorally, "Can you not let her know you're making the dogtags and just ship them to me so I can give them to her myself?"

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
Tomoyo shakes her head slightly. "It's... unprofessional," she says firmly, more to herself than to James. "A person in business should be cool and collected."

Tomoyo rubs her chin, eventually shaking her head. "I don't know anything about either of them! I only got involved in the Multiverse a few months ago really~ But sometimes, the direct approach works. Maybe you can just ask them! Or maybe the Union database has some videos of them fighting?"

She giggles softly at James's second request and winks, putting an index finger to her lips. "I promise, I won't tell~"

James Rogers (802) has posed:
James nods, acknowledging Tomoyo's explination of her concern. "I'll look into that idea," he says regarding her suggestion of databases and videos.

Tomoyo Daidouji has posed:
Tomoyo bows her head. "Glad I could help!" she says, before slipping back behind the counter. She brings up the cost for the two outfits (a terribly reasonable one!) and smiles.

"If there's ever anything else, please don't hesitate to come again!"

James Rogers (802) has posed:
James smiles and, after changing back into his uniform for now, hands Tomoyo his Union ident card to charge the purchase to his personal account.

"I look forward to your shipping me Sarah's dogtags and I'll try to make sure someone gets a picture of her reaction to them so I can send it to you."
