Gaonoir has posed:
Well this wasn't one of the typical arenas. But apparently they had to make some sort of special accomidation for his opponent? Whatever, didn't matter to Gaonoir, a fight is a fight and it being over the ocean was hardly going to hinder him. Considering he was already cruising over it in his Perfect stage since it was the one that can fly in the first place.

No he's not doing the 'Superman' flight pose. His arms are flexed at his sides, metal clag hands clenched tightly in anticipation of the fight to come. He swoops a bit closer to the watery surface, the exhaust from his jet pods sending up a few rooster tail plumes behind him.

Nagato has posed:
The sun was high today, slowly setting but plenty of daylight left. The last time she fought over the ocean, she nearly lost to a skilled ally, but here? she knows nothing of her opponent. This, however, hasn't stopped her from continuing on and working her way through the matches. The Admiral, Nagato, cracks her knuckles and rotates her turrets... all repaired and ready. Today, she's got the 46 cm turrets installed by Yuubari, hopefully to pack more of a punch.

Skating towards the designated area per the officials, she gives a nod and closes her eyes, who's her opponent today and can they deal with the battleship?

Gaonoir has posed:
The only downside was out here on the water there was very few shadows for Gaonoir. Though this form didn't do much of the jumping through and pulling from as his lesser forms did, so hopefully that wouldn't be too much of a hinderence.

When movement registers into his field of vision he pulls up into a stop and hovers, smirking a bit as his scarf flutters about behind him for a bit of dramatic presense. Regardless if there's a wind or not. It's easier just not to think too hard about it when it comes to Digimon sometimes. "Well well, what do we have here? Looks like a little girl jacked some gear off Cannondramon and Gigaseadramon."

Nagato has posed:
Nagato holds herself still, standing on the water in her standard pose, arms connected to each other under her chest. Radar pings and her vision snaps over towards the location of Gaonoir. Another flyer. "At least my Anti Air will be good." she states to herself, slowly shifting towards an attack stance as the turrets traverse to take aim at Gaonoir.

"I'm afraid I do not know what you're talking about, however it will be a pleasure to see this to completion. Admiral Nagato, one of the Big Seven. Do not take me for granted or I shall show you why." Nagato's face is stern and shows no emotion but those words pack a serious side to the battleship, one of countless battles, leadership and loss. "Shall we?"

Gaonoir has posed:
The expression is a familiar one, he's seen it on several of the Royal Knights. Which is kind of impressive in its own right considering how many of them either have helmets over their heads or just lack faces in general. But she's being courteous with the introductions so the least he can do is return the favor. "Gaonoir, the Beast of Shadows, Enforcer of Yggdrasil." There's a glint across his aviator visor as his smirk widens a bit more. "So you'd do wise to keep similar in mind."

But rather than verbally respond to the question of readiness his jet-pods roar back to full life, causing a short plume of water to burst up as he launchs back upward into the air. He loops over backwards to come back on an approach vector. It becomes apparent why this evolution does require shadows nearby, as he is able to use the ability to simple generate more darkness himself. Done so to send a quick burst of darkness shots towards Nagato. It really is much in the same way a fighter plane would make a strafing run with a machine gun.

Nagato has posed:
The strafing run catches her a bit off guard, the darkness strafing making dents in her superstructure while the missed shots bring up splashes of salt water around the battleship. A bit of a wince, Nagato takes off skaing along the ocean, her eyes tracing for the jet-wolf... "I see, so you're an aircraft huh? Or act like one."

Nagato was prepared for this, after her last combatant. Smaller turrets turn around and start spraying anti aircraft machine gun fire in a lead off of Gaonoir's direction, her turrets still slowly traversing to find a good firing solution to launch the larger shells at him. "FIRE!"

Gaonoir has posed:
Gaonoir finishes his pass and is banking around for another go when the ship-girl admiral turns and opens fire with her guns. This is where things already start to get a little crazy. Sure his first attack and the way he flew about was rather like one would expect of a fighter aircraft. It goes with the jet engines, and the pilot-like appearance.

But the similarities have their differences too. Like when the guns fire and Gaonoir pulls short on his approach, instead holding up his oversized gauntlets in front of his face and upper body to shield them. The anti-aircraft guns slam into the metal limbs with resounding force, briefly obscuring him in the resulting smoke and debris. There is no mistaking those were good solid hits, even if physical wounds don't initially register on a digimon's appearance, he certainly felt them even with the protective stance.

But the smoke hasn't even settled entirely before Gaonoir comes rocketing out of it. "Sometimes!" he calls back to her in way of a sort of answer. There is no shooting this time.

Not when he swoops in and aims one of those metal fists right for the girl herself.

Nagato has posed:
Nagato's face does not even betray a sense of joy from the successful strike, only the calculating face of an admiral planning the next sortie. As the smoke starts to settle, face meets fist in the most.. unpleasant of ways.. as its her face meeting fist, knocking the battleship back a few paces in the water. She shakes her head and moves her jaw, nothing broken... yet.

hough, with the close proximity of Gaonoir, the secondaries on her superstructure start turning into place and starts firing various small caliber shells at the flying Digimon along with Anti Air fire. "Solid hit but it's going to take much more to bring down the battleship of the Fleet Daughters! Give it all you got, do not hold yourself back!"

With a nod, a shell seems to be loaded into each of her turrets, preparing her next strike.

Gaonoir has posed:
Gaonoir takes a brief moment to put one metal hand to his bandoliered chest and feign a hurt expression. "Me? Hold back? Clearly you don't... oh, that's right, you -don't-." The choice of phrases certainly seems to amuse him to a degree.

Lupine ears twitch, clearly hearing the sound of secondary weapons moving to fire witht heir proximity. "Looks like I better -jet-." He twists around and launchs off just as the chorus of gunfire starts. There's a few pings of hit flash down his backside from the smaller secondaries, but for the most part the jet-wolf twists and weaves evasively away from the majority of the counter-strike, particularly the anti-air guns. There's little doubt of this opponent's ability to keep up speed and mobility, even when moving in or out of ranges.

At the end he rises up in an arc, still grinning. "Fortunately for you I like a foe that can keep me on my toes... not that I'm standing on the ground any. But let's see just how machine you are..." He inhales briefly, and then...

    "Howlback Cannon!"

A pulse of electrified power blasts from his mouth with the attack, only to slam into the water close to Nagato. It looks like a missed attack, but the electrical disruption that briefly crackles from the attack may or may not mess with her any. It's a testing attack, he's not sure how much of her is actually a machine, if at all.

Nagato has posed:
A scowl is given as the report of shells don't touch her target, but with this, she's gaguing distance and speed for the next set... "You're my second aerial opponent this tournament, I would hope you can give me a better show!" she kicks off the water and sends up a small wave of water behind her as the large girl keeps moving.

If she's keeping him on his toe, that's a good thing, means ... kzzzzt! The pulse of electrified power slams right into the water and the electricity that travels from it and up Nagato's body makes a couple ammo stores explode, taking out a few of the secondary turrets and making a crack in the superstructure. "I'm not machine at all." she comments, "But I will keep this in mind.."

With her trajectory complete and the Type 3 Sanshiki shells loaded, she snaps her hand forward, "FIRE!" and with a loud explosion, she sends eight shells that explode mid air with anti air shrapnel coating the battlefield! Smoke soon dissipates from the turrets as the reload time takes its place...

Gaonoir has posed:
There is a moment that smirk he's had turns into a bit more of a sneer, but Gaonoir tries to not let the jab at his providing a 'show' or not get to him. Middle of a fight like this would not be a good time to let his cool down. "Well this is a competative fight. So I can't find out what you really are by the usual methods." The implication of what that statement means is probably fairly clear, even if he's kept it stated in a manner that is safe for family viewing.

Bracing himself for another shelling, the attacks instead exploding into shrapnel does catch Gaonoir with an unexpected variation of the move. Sharp bits of metal dig into his form, which is kind of odd to see. Because it looks like he's wearing a bodysuit, but since it's literally a part of his form, instead of shredding and tearing it looks more like a series of cut wounds being made.

"Clever girl." The jet-wolf digimon pauses a moment to shake some of the shards off his arm. "Good to see -you- stop holding back" he retorts, throwing one of her previous comments back at her indirectly.

Then launches towards Nagato once more. It looks like another high speed punch. That misses. Only that it was a feint in the first place, and the whiff was to get just far enough past her to spin around and aim one of his bionic legs at her backside in a Chuck Norris style roundhouse kick.

Nagato has posed:
Nagato's shells, as numerous as they are, are still a limited thing here. Though, with the effect being shown, she gives a nod, red shells being loaded this time into the turrets, the Type 94 Armor Peircing shells. "This is, and I have a good feeling I know what you are." she replies back, the turrets traversing once more to keep up with the flying being.

"You do not become Admiral by not being clever." she comments, "And I'm not holding back, I'm just warming up." that smirk finally comes onto her face once more as she readies one pair of turrets to turn backward. Though, with the high speed punch, she reels back to make one of her own but... "Ghuh?!"

The kick lands solidly on her back, sending her stumbling forward and kicking up waves with each step, while the water line continues to sink slowly on those 'boots' of hers. "Nngh, solid and clever..." she whispers, but with a quick turn around, she lets her turrets fire, the ones facing backward as it launches the battleship into a gun powered punch of her own!

Gaonoir has posed:
Clearly Gaonoir was not expecting her to use her guns in -that- manner. It's not as tremendous as his natural speed, but the suddenness of the attack and the extra oomph the utilization of recoil gives her is enough to catch him off guard. It hits with enough force to knock him backwards, bouncing on the water surface a few times like a stone being skipped across it.

Then he finally flips over, 'landing' on his feet and using his jets to arrest the momentum. Then with a shift of angle shoots him into an upward arc. At the peak of that is akin to a rocket-jump he rolls his body in a somersault like maneuver, in order to bring both his body and some of that speed dropping down on top of Nagato.

Rolling maneuvers seem to be a thing with this evolution line, along with punching.

Nagato has posed:
A punchfest on the high seas seems to be in order as the punch is returned with another punch of her opponents own, which sends her splashing down into the water, creating a huge wave from the impact.

Underwater... does this mean she's sinking? No, must get up, must not be under... Nagato scrambles a bit and breaks the surface with a forward motion from her turbines, coughing out some of the seawater she swallowed. "No, not doing that again.." she grumbles, turning around and letting a report of six more, armor peircing shells, from her turret sing out towards Gaonoir. "FIRE!"

After the report of shells, Nagato quickly swaps the Type 93's back to the Type 3's, she's going to need them soon enough.

Gaonoir has posed:
Of course she would come back up. Of course it wouldn't be so easy to just sink her like a real battle ship.
Which makes that confidant smirk come back to Gaonoir's muzzle. He wouldn't want it to be an easy fight anyways. That would be wasting his skills. This is not going to be a case of that, though.

Even as Nagato recovers to the surface and starts firing Gaonoir is heading towards her, intending to keep this battle on the move. She may not be as big and as slow as a real battleship but that's still to his advantage, right? We'll find out.

He manages to dip low enough that one shot gos high, clearly intended for an actual flying target. But skimming the ocean surface does not spar him from the entire volley. Explosions fill the air and send water rolling to the sides from the shockwave, and this time when he jets out of the blast radius the results are clear. Digimon typically don't bleed, but Gaonoir is hardly a typical digimon. He's not bleeding per say either, but instead of having bits of a derezzing data and visible gridlines from the wounds there is just the unnatural inky blackness of the Dark Digitron.

Not much time to ponder it though as Gaonoir uses his surface skimming approach to swing low and then rising into an uppercut that, if it successfully connects with his target, will release an explosive burst of dark energy from his fist.

Nagato has posed:
The report of shells fired off and reloaded with new shells give the battleship a new set of firing solutions, however, with some of the shells missing she quickly moves to try and negotiate with her turrets, attempting to speed up the traverse speed to aim better. This momentary lapse of cannon fire allows the Digimon to get in close and score a direct strike with the uppercut, the explosion of dark energy sending her reeling back!

Stumbling back, she spits out what looks to be some sort of black substance, oil maybe... but with the Digimon so close... another fire from her turrets, not even aimed at him, send the battleship into a small spin in which, she lifts up her leg to provide another cannon powered rudder kick and, with the spin continuing, her secondaries aim a few and send a few short bursts sounding his way!

Gaonoir has posed:
The gun-recoil trick is less surprising the second time around, but that doesn't matter so much when they are in such close quarters than Gaonoir can't really do much to try and avoid it. And with no excess shadows to pull to his aid out here, the most he can really do his shield his upper body with his metal arms. The recoil driven kick hits with enough force to push his hovering stand backwards, putting him right in range for the follow-up volley of additional gun fire. There's less exploding this time, leaving it visible to see the little whisps of shadowy data-stuff being rended from his form where the bullets it. It looks like little dings and dents, but the little stuff will quickly tally up at this rate. The fight has already been pretty drawn out.

Once he lowers them partially from his guard the mecha gauntlets are already starting to build up a blackish aura. "I guess it's time to see how tough your hull really is." The comment trails off into a snarl as he uses his jets to lunge at her since he can't push off the water to do so.

"GAOGO RAAAAGE!"

The flurry of punchs comes with such speed and intensity that the dark aura produced by his shadow powers distorts them, giving it a blurred effect that makes it difficult to tell just how many individual blows there are.

Nagato has posed:
Nagato's a tough ship, the armor she's built with isn't for show and with this.. the punches graze a few times but the ones that land send the battleship back with each successful strike, leaving bruises upon the Admiral's flesh, during that time though, the main guns start traversing to aim at the digimon. She coughs a bit and spits out a bit more of that oil, scooting back just a bit to get some distance as the guns lower. "You fight well, Gaonoir. I wonder who you stand for outside of your own world."

Nagato's legs seem to be sinking even futher into the water, the shipgirl's nearly out of it but it needs to be finished soon... "ALL GUNS! FIRE!" and with the resounding loud bangs from eight barrels, the shells streak off towards Gaonoir from a cloud of black smoke from the barrels exit points, shrouding the girl in them. "If you win, I wish you the best of luck in the future!"

Gaonoir has posed:
That question about what he would stand for outside his own world actually get's a pause from Gaonoir. It's possible the sharp question penetrated deeper than most attacks would. Simply because... he's not really considered it. Even his venture into the Multiverse, the majority of the tasks he's undertaken, have been at the behest of either his master or those also serving him.

But the middle of a raging battle was not the time to get philosophical. Gaonoir snaps out of it, shoving the thought to the back of his mind, for now at least. The ship-gi.. no, ship-lady, she'd proven herself beyond being referred to so immaturely, was already warming up to fire again. "You're making me work for it, regardlss of how it turns out." He can not be a jackass. Sometimes.

Jets holding him at a hover, Gaonoir does akin to a certain other big bad wolf, and sucks in a deep breath. Which probably looks a little odd since technically he doesn't breathe at all. It's just part of the attack. Because the exhale not only blasts out air, but draws from his Dark Digitron powers to produce a shadowy vortex with it.

    "MACH. DARK. VORTEX!"

The spiral of shadow energy intercepts the shells, though when the leading fire detonates from the impact, the blast wave is still enough to reach him, rippling against his form and causing looser articles like his scarf to flap violently.

But will his attack reach Nagato in return or not, that's the real question.

Nagato has posed:
Something got him to pause and this pause had to have made the shells miss, expecting him to go on eway and the shells go flying past. A curse is muttered under her breath. "Good. Because you're making me work for every moment here!" she starts to rush towards the Jet Wolf but the blast of air, the spiral of energy makes the other shells explode and...

The energy rips right into the Battleship, her turrets damaged, superstructure barely hanging on and her clothes are modestly damaged, drawing the battleship to take knee to stay upright. "Nngh. Such power..." she whispers, "I recommend you find a good use for them after... I may call on you for an operation." she offers as a single floatplane fires off from behind her and into the air. The little fairy piloting the observation aircraft hovers around before shooting towards Gaonoir's location, Nagato's eyes closed as she keeps track of the fairy's radio.

When all is said and done, the plane circles around Gaonoir and Nagato's eyes light up, "ALL ARMAMENTS!" she lifts herself up, a stoic look on her face and then a salute. "FIRE!" the command is given and the four main cannons fire high explosive shells one after another in a sequential fashion at Gaonoir while the secondaries light up and machine gun ammunition towards him. Even the anti air cannons that are left lower angle and fire, the battleship bringing her full armament to bare against the wolf in the air!

Gaonoir has posed:
Gaonoir does have listings as a Syndicate mercenary, if one looked far enough. There would probably be a comment to point that out, but he's distracted by the minature plane that starts buzzing around. "What the.." He swats at it a few times, much like one would a fly. "Go away! We're trying to have some mid-fight banter here! Shoo ya little pe--"

And then the sound of Nagato's guns coming to bare and armed makes him realize what the mini-plane really was: a spotter.

    "Oh sum of a glitch."

Which is followed by the entire fury of the admiral's arsenal being turned upon him. A blistering barrage of ballistic firepower worthy of not only someone of rank, but also of the tactical prowess she has proven to hold. Win or lose doesn't matter in that regard, she's proven herself to be a capable military-grade opponent.

The ship-lady's fury is not enough to put Gaonoir down yet though. But he's clearly felt the brunt of her power. Those 'breaks' across his body have become larger and more numerous, showing the ichor-like Digitron that permutes his form. His visor is cracked, there's burns and dents all across his gauntlets, and the ends of his scarf have burned down to stumps. Plus he's still grinning, though there's an obvious clench of pain behind it. "Okay, my turn!"

He takes off again, pushing what remaining energy he can into his jet-pods to get his speed rocketing upwards. Yet he doesn't rush towards Nagato. He rises from the water a bit, and starts circling around her. Faster and faster, dark energy crackling from his form. The spinning motion begins to aggitate the water around the ship-lady, winds churned up by his circling motion at high speed whipping about, the combination of cyclonic motion and dark energy reaching a howling storm-like squall within moments, the vortex of dark-infused winds actually starting to draw up the rough rolling water into the spiral.

    "TENEBRAAAE TORRRRNADOOOOOO!"

Though it's more like a waterspout cyclone over the ocean. But that doesn't sound nearly as epic to yell.

Nagato has posed:
The smoke clears from the Admiral, barrels from her guns still smoking from the barrage given and Nagato herself is standing at attention, even if she's shin deep in water. "GOod job, fairy." she whispers, a nod given as the plane flies away after the job is done, more over to get the Admiral's fleet over to get her, meanwhile... she stares at the jet wolf and nods.

"So you are the stronger one of today then." she comments, watching the Digimon take off. Both her and the Digmon are battered and bruised up, likely to show how much effort they both put in, however, in the end only one can go. Nagato's head lowers, a brief, unseen smile graces the Admiral's face before she looks back up. A military salute is given as the waters whip up around her, likely in acknowledging her defeat and respect for her opponent.

The waters whip up, the spiral taking hold of the ship-lady's structure and knocking her around and all the while, she's holding the salute in hopes that Gaonoir can see it through the turmoil and with the 'squall' brought to full bare, the Admiral's thrown around and around it, breaking up her superstructure and the turrets before she crashes into the water when it ends, parts of the turrets floating into the sea while the Admiral herself lies there in the water, just barely floating. All the while... her salute remains.

Gaonoir has posed:
She can bob for a few moments, but as the attack dies down and the winds fade, a metal hand grabs onto Nagato before she does sink or something. "Com'n you. I dunno if sinking counts as dying for ya, but not gonna risk the chance. Not suppose to be any of that happening." He's got at least enough strength remaining to carry her back to the shore. "Doubt a tough lass like you would go down in anything less than a real battle anyways."
