Radio Mission: Defeat Destructivator
Date of Scene: 09 September 2015
Location: Paragon City <CoH>
Synopsis: The Freakshow boss "Destructivator" has to be arrested before he causes more damage!
Cast of Characters: 729, 740, 769, 796

Demetrios Vasilikos (769) has posed:
The Freakshow are a problem. They're a rage-fuelled, cybernetically enhanced, gun-toting gangers on the high of a super soldier serum that has granted them what many gangs have been willing to kill for (and have tried to): super powers. Regeneration, incredible pain tolerance, enhanced strength and physical fitness... Some have even expanded further and developed additional powers. One of the most fearsome forms of the Freakshow are its bosses known as 'Tanks'. Destructivator is a particularly violent Tank of the Swiper persuasion, having huge blades all over his armored body. He has been on a rampage lately on Talos Island, and because of his regeneration, pain resistance, and damage resistance in general, overwhelming force has been authorized for bringing him in.

Destructivator and his core group, who are likely to be found in the same vicinity as him, all need to be defeated to put a stop to the chaos before anyone gets hurt.

It seems he's currently holed up in a dockside warehouse in the New Sparta section of Talos Island. Various information sources dedicated to helping heroes would have provided the tip off, though heroes skilled at detective work could have tracked him down on their own as well by following the evidence left by Destructivator's most recent bank robbery. If the building is entered, a narrow corridor will be the first thing responders see, followed by a tangle of metal bars, piled up boxes full of electronics jumbled together, strobe lights and stop signs, and various other 'cool' decorations these lunatics have festooned their 'base' with.

Mission Objectives: Defeat Destructivator and guards

Nightblind (729) has posed:
Well. It /was/ a quiet conference that Nightblind's alter-ego had shown up to originally, but plans... change.

Unwilling to let any risk come to the people in the city, Nightblind had excused herself from her civilian life and donned her equipment, escaping via rooftops and back allies until she found herself facing the base of operations.

And true to her nature, she was quiet. Her visor gives a quick scan of the area as she quietly waits in the shadows, considering her approach. She does have her bow out, though, an arrow knocked but not drawn.

So she had decided to lend a hand, sending out just a little signal on the bands.

    Nightblind is here.

Elphelt Valentine (740) has posed:
Elphelt is here as well! She's typically not the stealthy sort, but her programming at least has the basics. In this case, making leaps from rooftop to rooftop until she has an overview of the warehouse in question. Taking her long pink rifle from her Bouquet of Holding, the wedding-bot sets herself up on overwatch.

She keys up her radio to Nightblind. "Hey there! I've got you covered from the roof! Let me know when things go loud, and I'll bust on in too! ...Unless you just want me to blow a hold in the warehouse walls. I'm good with whatever!" Comes Elphelt, in her permanently cheery voice, superhuman eyes scanning down the sights of her weapon.

Sarah Rogers (796) has posed:
Paragon City is the sort of place where Sarah fits right in. No one bats an eyelash at flying heroes here. She lands about a block from the warehouse and walks the rest of the way, fiddling with her radio to see who else is going to show up to the party. "These guys sound absolutely crazy.. It's like they kitbash together whatever they can find to get cool new powers, and apparently they have a habit of getting up again even after you're sure you've taken them out of the fight." She keeps her distance from the entrance until she's certain everyone who's coming has shown up.

Demetrios Vasilikos (769) has posed:
Destroying city property is probably not a good idea, as someone might point out to Elphelt, but authorities are usually just glad that the heroes are taking care of business and don't require things like search warrants or paying fines or whatever. At least as long as it's kept to a reasonable level, and the job gets done without innocent people getting hurt. For the time being, the warehouse's exterior seems to be free of any suspicious activity. Well, beyond the fact there are burly tattooed men of an asian persuasion in another warehouse in the same area making some kind of deal, and some Freakshow members are having a fist fight with some guys in bandanas and vests further down the pier, and all the other craziness going on all the time in this city.

The door into the hide-out isn't even locked, if anyone checks it.

Nightblind (729) has posed:
"Let's not get too crazy on the structural damage yet, Cheery." Comes Nightblind's slithery voice over the coms. "Watch the back. the visory keys in on the heat signatures around her, and Nightblind marks Valentine and Rodgers as 'friendlies'.
The bow-weilding vigilante slowly slides out from her hiding place along the shadows. "Rodgers, isn't it? How are your recon skills?" she questions, her fingers tightening a moment, preparing for any movement as she moves closer and stalks the door for a moment. She brings a gloved hand up to the side of her visor, using its echolocation to see i she can get an idea of what's on the other side of that door.

Elphelt Valentine (740) has posed:
Elphelt audibly deflates over the radio. "Awww. Humans always /do/ get so upset over that. I never understood it." She shrugs, rather uselessly.

That pout lasts all of two seconds. "On it! Anything that gets out the back will have a quick trip to napsville!" She giggles way too much for this.

Her spiked dress does sway in the wind as she repositions, finding a better rooftop to watch the exit from. It's conveniently near the arguing Freakshow members. There's a light 'tak-tak' of heels to rooftop, then she takes a seat, garishly pink gun rested on a knee.

She hums happily, but at least quietly, into the radio the entire time.

Sarah Rogers (796) has posed:
"Sarah's fine. I didn't get your name?" The blonde girl inquires. Sarah then scratches the back of her neck sheepishly, "Recon huh? Ah... I'll be honest, you look like you're way better at that than I am." She replies to Nightblind, "I could cause a distraction though?" She offers hopefully, "I can go punch the biggest guy in there for ya while you sneak past?"

Demetrios Vasilikos (769) has posed:
The other side of the door is an empty corridor, though the tangle of 'decorations' clogging it further in is there as well. Passable, but annoying. It may seem like laziness or lack of cleanliness that is the cause of so much garbage piled up in there, but it's actually somewhat clever. The fact it forces people to move very carefully to avoid making noise means that rushing the defenders is less viable without being spotted, trying to rush them regardless will make lots of noise and may stall the invaders on obstacles, and the rusted metal and other bits of scrap may even injure anyone foolish enough to press on despite these factors. The Freakshow aren't known for their brilliance, but they've definitely gotten more organized lately, with their mysterious leader, Drek, in charge.

It doesn't take a mastermind to set up a noise trap and barricades, of course, but it still shows a level of ingenuity that is lacking in many other aspects of the Freakshow lifestyle. Depending on if Nightblind's echolocation can see around corners or not, she may spot a couple of guards in the hall, though with their backs to the entrance. There's also some more shapes patrolling around various other rooms of medium to large side, with various other hallways, all littered with whatever-the-heck the Freakshow picked up and thought was cool. There's a number of 'big guys' in there for Sarah to punch, but the biggest is the one they came for, somewhere in the back.

There doesn't appear to be any exit other than the front door (clearly this building is not up to code for fire safety), but Elphelt's repositioning does put her near enough to see the Warrior Bruiser that is getting wailed on with a lead pipe by a Freakshow Stunner, surging with electricity from a tesla-coil harness, is not looking so great. She could step in if she chose to... Both to spare the Warrior a savage beat-down, and to make sure that the Freaks don't wander back inside as reinforcements when they finish, pinning those going indoors between themselves and the defenders.

Nightblind (729) has posed:
Nightblind approaches the door, and seeing that there is nothing on the other side that was immediately evident, she gently lows her bow, and then using an elbow, slowly edges the door open and steps inside, giving a quiet motion to Sarah to follow, taking relative control of the operation.

She nocks the arrow back to her bow, turning to keep a brief bead on Rodgers to make sure she's following. IF things got to the thick of it, Sarah would be a /good/ ally to have her back.

And she seems less explody than her previous Union contact. This should prove interesting.

Sarah Rogers (796) has posed:
Sarah slips in after Nightblind, hovering a few inches off the ground so that she has no footsteps to give her position away. She looks ready to fight and she unslings her shield from her back, but holds off for a few moments to see if her companion has any tricks to keep the situation from getting any messier.

Elphelt Valentine (740) has posed:
Elphelt's desire to help out can only be quashed for so long. The poor warrior is being shocked and beaten to a pulp! Shoving her rifle back into her bouquet, she does a dramatic leap, aiming to land between the Freakshow members tazing them, and the poor besieged warrior!

It's almost graceful, until the part where Elphelt catches her foot on the edge of the roof, screams, and then flails on the way down with her bouquet of roses falling like rain.

The bouquet, and the roses themselves, turn out to be heavy and hard. Elphelt's not exactly light either as she performs an involuntary, pink magical sparkle filled dive-bomb onto the offending gangers!

"Don't be meeeeaaaahhhh caaatch meeeeee!"

Demetrios Vasilikos (769) has posed:
Nightblind and Sarah are easily able to get in through the front door, and if they are cautious to not trip over stop signs or similar, they can come right up behind the Freak Chopper and Freak Gunner who stand here guarding the front entrance... While looking in the opposite direction. Not the smartest of the gang, clearly.

One blue-mohawked Freak is slamming one fist into the palm of his other hand as he remarks, "I've heard there's heroes looking for the boss. Stay alert!"

The shaved-head-except-with-purple-spikes-down-the-center Freak Gunner replies, "No one's getting past me!" as he stands there with his arms folded, looking AWAY from the direction intruders would be coming.

They kind of brought this on themselves.

Meanwhile, outside, it is actually probably for the best that Elphelt dive-bombs the bunch even if by accident. The Warrior probably wasn't going to show much gratitude for the rescue, and by slamming into all these guys while they're clustered together, she can take out several at once! Three or four Freaks get thrown through the air like rag dolls to crash into things in the surrounding area. The Warrior does the same, but at least he's out of it and going to be ported to hospital-jail shortly, instead of left in a bruised and bloody heap by his attackers!

The Stunner Freak, however, responds by triggering the release of the Excelsior drug into his system from his harness, dulling the pain of his injuries and giving him a boost to his ability to keep fighting. Glowing green, the Stunner takes off into the air, trying to gain some distance, and then turns to fire small bolts of electricity at the rose-carrying heroine!

Nightblind (729) has posed:
Yeah, they kind of brought this on themselves.

The archer draws down, releasing the arrow and sliding it back into the quiver. She then reaches to the side, and grabs one of the stop signs, easing it up and hefting its broken pole. She looks to Sarah, gives a nod and holds up three fingers. Two fingers. One finger.

And then she sweeps forward, bull rushing the duo, coming up behind the gunner to try and surprise him with a whack to the back of his head and knock him out!

    .... first impressions, after all.

Elphelt Valentine (740) has posed:
Elphelt lands amidst a pile of bodies and small amounts of kicked up asphalt and dust from her landing. Her big green eyes go all swirly, laying there for a moment.

"Ahhh...that wasn't up to building code!" She whines, before suddenly there's blasts coming her way!

With a yelp and a leap, she manages to dodge the first two, but the third catches her right in the stomach! Her entire body goes rigid as she's electrocuted, hair going all fuzzy and out of place! It's let him get some distance as she recovers, shoving herself to her feet!

"Y...YOU BIG JERK! I had my hair so niiiiice!" Seems she's more worried about the hair than electricity damage. Still, her armor's smoking a bit. That stung.

This time, in her anger, she pulls out the big guns. Literally. A rose quickly turns into a pink, bow-tied rocket launcher as she fires a concussion rocket at the fleeing ganger! The explosion will create a wall of force, utterly non-lethal.

It will feel like the worst kind of gut-punch and hangover combined if it hits though!

Sarah Rogers (796) has posed:
Damn! Sarah was sure someone dressed like Elphelt couldn't possibly be as incompetant as they looked! She glances towards the door again, torn for a moment on whether she should run back out to help. But this city has those emergency teleporters right? El should be fine, if she remembered to get one!

Okay, back to the task at hand. Sarah waits for Nightblind's signal then rushes the Freak with the fireaxe, slamming into him shield first. Hopefully he'll knwo better than to try and get back up again.

Demetrios Vasilikos (769) has posed:
    ASSASSIN STRIKE!

Attacking from stealth as she is, Nightblind has no trouble taking the gunner down! Sarah's shield rush, likewise, sends the chopper flying down the hall! ...Sliding to a stop right at the feet of a patrol of like six guys who just came out of another hall and into the square-shaped room up ahead. They look at the chopper. Then they look the direction he came.

"HEROES!" one of the Freaks yells as he pulls out a shotgun and rushes forwards. A bunch of Mad Freaks, the ones who actually have the Excelsior Feeders, are now charging down the dim, strobe-lit hall! Thankfully, no one else appears to have heard the commotion, so they don't have to worry about the Patrol's cry calling even more people. But Sarah and Nightblind still have to worry about crazies with guns and sledgehammers, and another shirtless-bald-guy with one arm being a cybernetic hammer leading the charge!

There's room for the good guys to react before the enemies come close enough to attack! What will they do?

Meanwhile, Elphelt successfully takes out the last remaining Freak outside! The Stunner Freak falls out of the sky and hits the ground with a *WHUMPH* and a noise of pain. Well, that's over with! Everyone else seems to be getting teleported out of there, fading away.

Then Stunner's harness shocks him back into consciousness, and he struggles up onto his feat, somewhat disoriented. He's not fully healed or anything, but it seems he's ready to keep fighting! At least those tesla coils on his back seem to have shortcircuited because they're not electrified anymore. Maybe that means no more lightning either.

Sarah Rogers (796) has posed:
It's time for Sarah to do her job as what Paragon City calls a Tank. She brings her shield up protectively and focuses on getting in front of whatever pain might be comming towards Nightblind. The rush of Freaks down the hall causes her to bring out that thing she doesn't like to talk about. Her right hand goes to her necklace and suddenly there's an ancient nordic hammer in her hand, ready to pound on the first freak unlucky enough to come down the hall.

Nightblind (729) has posed:
Well. Shit. Nightblind regisers the patrol a split second before they come around the corner. Her fingers grip against the signpost for a moment before she drops it.

And she makes her approach. The strobes have no effect on her. She reigsters the opponents, and when she moves its with the intent to bring them down...

    ... and keep them down.

There's the quiet 'twang!' of arrows, nocked and drawn and released in rapid sucsession as she tries to hit the ones in the front, to slow their forward momentumn and give Sarah Rodgers time to set up an attack!

She also braces to /get the hell/ out of the way.

Demetrios Vasilikos (769) has posed:
Arrows and hammer blows fly, as Mad Freaks and one Enforcer all come in to attack Sarah while Nightblind hangs back and fills them full of arrows. With their pain resistance and healing abilities, combined with the narrow hall, it may take some maneuvering to avoid being surrounded, and Sarah might take some attacks if she can't deflect them all with her shield. But in the end, after a frantic fight, with only one revival (from the Enforcer Smasher), the immediate battle should be over.

Regenerating cyborgs on super-soldier serum are not fun times. But now the way is clear! ...Both of them! There's a room straight ahead beyond the square-shaped room, with large cargo crates filling it, and smaller barrels and so on. What might be on the other side of that room isn't visible as a result. To the left, however, is a really long passage with railing'd platforms on either side, storage rooms with their garage-like doors down, and various out Freakshow members standing at the far end, in a room with a metal ramp leading up to a ledge or something.

    Which way shall they go?

Nightblind (729) has posed:
Nightblind reaches up and taps her visor again, taking a look aorund. She exhales, brushing some cobweb (these guys seriously need a maid...), and she uses her echolocation again. The active effect serches for signs of life.

She tries to gauge the area, these clowns.

... and she's relatively glad that they don't have the dead returning to life in Stonegate yet.

She turns and 'looks' to Rodgers, her head tilting a moment. "I don't suppose you're feeling lucky today?" she inquires.

Sarah Rogers (796) has posed:
Sarah takes a moment to recover from the various beatings and the occasional electroshock that managed to get through. "I say we take the left passage." She pauses to take a deep breath, "The leaders of gangs like these seem to have an affinity for big open areas.. like say a loading dock. I'll bet that's where we'll find this Drek guy, or whatever his name is." She says confidently, then walks over to check her chosen passage for more Freaks.

Elphelt Valentine (740) has posed:
Her opponent stands! Elphelt whistles a little bit!

"Hey, you're pretty tough! That's admirable! Girls really like cool, tough guys you know? But you can't go around beating people up! You should find a nice, respectable occupation! Like...like a bouncer, or a policeman!" Suggests Elphelt, all bright and smiling.

When he inevitably disagrees, she pulls out a pair of high-calibre pistols loaded with those concussion rounds, leaps in the air, and does a classic spin-and-leap as she fires far too many rounds at the poor superpowered ganger!

Demetrios Vasilikos (769) has posed:
The inevitable disagreement comes in the form of more electrical blasts and yells about heroes being lame. Then he gets shot until he goes to sleep, and a little while later, he gets teleported to jail. Yay! Elphelt is now free to... Maybe go inside and help the others? Or something? None of THOSE guys are getting back up (half because they aren't even physically present anymore), and maybe the ladies inside could use the assistance!

Speaking of the ladies inside, a scan by Nightblind combined with Sarah's advice, indicates there's a very large roughly humanoid shape down the left-hand hall (the really long one with nothing but Freakshow waiting for them at the end of it). There's also some other groups of Freaks and Mad Freaks and Enforcers in the same room with the boss. As they get closer, they may even be able to HEAR the *CLANGCLANGCLANG* of two cybernetic limbs slamming together rhythmically because apparently even the bosses have to punch their hands together while standing around. Even if they no longer have hands.

There's other Freakshow on the other side of the room with the cargo crates, but they're fewer in number and don't include Destructivator!

If the heroines head down the hall, they'll get to fight a small groupf Freaks with guns and sledgehammers, and then get a look at the large room full of crates and cargo-haulers, and the similar sorts of things you'd expect to find in a huge warehouse.

And a man nearly completely encased in metal, with a clawed appendage for his right hand and a huge scythe-like blade for his left. Only the upper half of his head pokes up out of his cybernetic body. "We'll wait for the heat to die down a bit, and then knock over three banks in one day! Hah!" the Tank Swiper announces.

"That sounds TOTALLY AWESOME!" a Mad Freak Gunner nearby remarks encouragingly.

    There's various others scattered around.

Elphelt Valentine (740) has posed:
Admittedly, electrocutions are a compelling argument. Still, Elphelt's quick on her feet, and manages to spin out of the way of most! A few more stray shots get her, but they just cause her fire to be slightly erratic. She can really lay down some wicked fire with those things. She doesn't /need/ accuracy at this range.

Then she's rushing towards the other girls, keying up her radio as she pulls out her rather large pink shotgun. If there's noisemakers, she rushes right through them. Her armor takes any scrapes, the woman practically a wrecking ball as she tries to catch up with her allies.

Sarah Rogers (796) has posed:
It's amazing how little these guys pay attention, despite all the commotion the Heroes caused in the hall, the guy who's presumably Destructivator is completely distaracted by talking tohis lackey about bank robberies. "Glad you could join us." She smirks at Elphelt as she appears. "If you guys will keep the run of the mill freaks off me I'm gonna go say a big hello to Destructo-guy." She says eagerly, lifting up into the air and raising her hammer up."

Nightblind (729) has posed:
Ah. Yes, there it was. The loud.

Well, Nightblind was was getting used to others rushing in...

And as Cheery Elphelt comes in like Miley Cyrus on a Binge, she gives a wry smile in her allies' directrions, and then pulls a set of long knives from her sideholsters, and follows them into the calm before the storm!

Elphelt Valentine (740) has posed:
Elphelt beams both girls a big, cheery smile. That seems to be her default way of dealing with the world. It might be a little creepy even, she never shows signs of holding that goofy smile to be painful. Pros of being a magical android.

"On it! Time to go loud~."

She reaches into her bouquet, and pulls out...are those strawberries? hand-sized strawberries!?

She pulls the green 'pins' on each of her pineberries, and then starts tossing them near indescriminately at the various mook Freakshow gangers. The things work like her rockets: they create massive sonic concussions, aimed at knocking out the effected rather than harming. They still, strangely, seem to explode.

"Hey bad guys! CATCH!" If nothing else, Elphelt is a very good distraction.

Sarah Rogers (796) has posed:
Strawberry Grenades!? The Multiverse just keeps getting weirder! It's unusual, but it's just the kind of help Sarah was looking for. She soars up into the air and then starts streaking towards the Boss and his group of lackies., "Hey Destructovader! Think fast!" She calls out as sher brings Mjolnir down on his head."

Nightblind (729) has posed:
Their quiet ally makes her way around the sides of the room, drawing up closely as Elphelt and Sarah tank the damage. Nightblind is being sneaky, and taking out the periphreal fighters, aiming to slice tendons from the back of knees. Not exactly a killing blow -- but it's awful difficult to get up and move around when your body mechanics don't work.

She keeps an eye for re-enforcements, the tips of her knives getting a red coating.

Demetrios Vasilikos (769) has posed:
Destructivator notices when the three super heroes attack, though not so much the stealthy Nightblind as she goes after the groups around the edges. "Who let these heroes in here!? Destroy them!" he yells. His allies are too distracted by the concussive force to do much, which is good, because othrewise once Nightblind makes her presence known by attacking, they'd have turned on her (even if in small groups)! Instead, they are hindred by Disorientation, combined with the injuries that are being inflicted by the blind heroine's Dual Blades to Weaken them! Their healing abilities that verge on or actually ARE regeneration, combined with their high pain tolerance, means this tactic of hobbling them is not quite as LASTING as it would be against purely normal foes, but it's still keeping them from reinforcing their boss, and enough damage inflicted over time can take them out just as well!

That just leaves Sarah vs. Destructivator! Her hammer smashes into the angered Tank Swiper, though the combination of his mass and his armor keeps him form being knocked down easily. Further, the blunt force doesn't seem to have done as much as it should have, though he clearly felt it! "Augh! You have no idea who you're dealing with!" the Boss retorts as he slashes at Sarah with a two-handed cybernetic blade he's using with just one super strong arm.

The guy at his side pulls out a submachine gun in a rather delayed reaction to all the chaos resulting, and fires upon the flying hero as well! Other gun shots are ringing out as the enemies that haven't been gotten to yet fire upon Elphelt, though Nightblind is mostly spared such for now.

...Though there's a guy with two huge hooks for hands running her way... And he stops to swing one of them when he's still way too far away to hit...! ...And launches a spinning sawblade with deadly force! Crap, these handless guys have ranged!?

Nightblind (729) has posed:
There's a bonus to being stealthy. Meanwhile, as she retreats back to the shadows, she ears the onrushing sound of rapid-fire. The sound echoes, mixing up the echolocation algorithm.

She hears Mackenzie's voice in her ear: "Ella, what's going on?!"

But there wasn't time to respond. The fuzz cleared, just in time to see the hooked horror making its way towards her. Her eyes closed, Nightblind exhales, taking a running leap forward. She lands on her knees, sliding beneath the sawblade (it catches against her hood, slicing through the fabric), and the young superheroine springs up, this time to try and impale the Hook's funny bones with her knives!

Sarah Rogers (796) has posed:
"That's what they all s(oof)..ay." Sarah gasps as she attempts to retort Destructivator. She brings her shield up to fend off the machinegun bullets and can't quite dodge that massive blade in time. Though it digs into her side, it doesn't penetrate as much as one would expect. She's not exactly normal herself, though she still lets out a shriek of pain! The best she can do is let the blade brush her aside rather than trying to resist it, which would make it worse.

The Heroine lets hersself fall to the floor, then rolls away from the blade, and underneath Destructivator's legs. He's likely armored down there too, but what the hell, desperate times call for desperate measures! She shoves her hammer up into his crotch!

Elphelt Valentine (740) has posed:
Elphelt is suddenly being fired upon! She lets out a shriek, leaping back behind a convenient crate. Most of the bullets catch her armored wedding dress, bouncing off, but a few wing her legs and arms. She leaks blue-ish blood. Definitely unnatural.

"Ow!" she calls out, frowning. She waits for a moment for the bullets to die down, for when they need to reload. Then she pops up like a gopher, aiming her shotgun almost casually. There's blasts of concussive pellets aimed at her attackers! Blam! Blam! She reloads with each shot, spinning the gun around artfully!

"That all you got, punks!?" She's getting into the feel of things.

Demetrios Vasilikos (769) has posed:
Nightblind drives her knives into the not-cybernetic parts of the Champion Slicer, making even a guy with his level of pain tolerance scream out in pain and... Actually he passes out from it!

Elphelt is laying down plenty of firepower, and the Freaks, Mad Freaks, Juicers that are shooting lightning bolts, Champions, Enforcers, and all the rest, already weakened by the grenades, and having their ability to stand taken from them, are gradually whittled down in numbers. It takes awhile due to them HEALING or SHOCKING THEMSELVES BACK TO CONSCIOUSNESS which is REALLY ANNOYING after awhile, but all in all, for three heroines, they're doing a really good job of clearing a large room of these jerks.

Sarah's hammer finally succeeds in knocking the Tank Swiper off his feet, and there's some sparks flying from various parts of his body when, after the heavy, loud impact of his metal body on the concrete floor, he gets back up. If his electronics spazzed like that so easily, maybe that's a vulnerability. Maybe something a little lightning could be useful against!

But when he gets back to his feet, Destructivator just yells, "All of you are going to be Destructivated(tm)!"

His clever battle cry aside, he then procedes to shoot an M30 grenade from his backpack armor towards Elphelt behind her Crates of Safety, from all the way across the room. It explodes upon impact, so if she isn't out of there by the time it arrives she might be feeling the hurt.

It's honestly mostly just down to this one last guy, but when he then turns and flings another sawblade at Nightblind, and slashes with the huge claws he has on his right hand at Sarah, it's clear he's not going down without a fight! But that fight is basically predetermined in its conclusion at this point.

If only he wasn't so heavily armored and so damn regen-y, it would be over that much sooner.

Sarah Rogers (796) has posed:
Sarah groans and struggles to get back to her feet, fortuantelty with no more bullets to worry about she can fend off those ridiculously oversized claws with her shield, but it makes getting back up that much harder, "You like... *gasp* Lighting huh? *wheeze* Have some of this!"

She focuses on spinning her hammer up while knocking away claws and blades as best she can with her shield. Finally when it's arcing with lighting she pounds it into Destructivator's chest!

Nightblind (729) has posed:
Nightblind frets a moment about the ol' hook-hands, passed out beneath her getting back up.

Luckily, he does not. She exhales, she turns, and she nocks another arrow to her bow, draws, and loosens, sending the flared metal tip sailing towards Destructivator!

"And some of this." she whispers to herself, and fires a second arrow aimed just ahead of the first

Elphelt Valentine (740) has posed:
As El and her opponents trade shots, and the shooting and shocking finally ends, she looks all sorts of scuffed up. She's /pouting/!

"Oh, my dress is ruined! I'll have to get it polished and buffed out!" What kind of dress needs buffing!?

But she's standing right up, and there's a grenade hucked at her. And not an insignificant one either! She leaps away just in time, but the explosion has her careerning through old shelves and into various other painful warehouse materials! She doesn't move for a moment.

Slowly, she gets to her feet, panting. Her hair's a mess, she has nails in her dress, and she looks very unhappy.

"Time to finish this!"

Suddenly, the world smells like flowers, and everything seems as light as a field of them. Nothing changes, but the Destructivator may just feel as though he's surrounded by the scent. Elphelt whips out her rifle, twirls it in the air as she pulls a bullet with a heart etched into it from her stockings! It lands in the chamber, the rifle clicks shut, and then she takes aim!

"This is for my..." BLAM!

"FIRST LOVE!" The bullet races for the big man, aimed right for the heart! Should it strike, the magical bullet will both try to sap away will, and instill feelings of love and adoration for the rose-bearing gungal!

Demetrios Vasilikos (769) has posed:
Destructivator is susceptible to energy attacks, it seems! The electricity causes his onboard electronics to short out, leaving him stunned and writhing in place as he is exposed to magical lightning! Nightblind's arrows thunk into him, finding gaps in his armor that have him reeling in pain! Already stunned and agonized, the Tank is already primed to be confused by the smell of flowers all around... And then he's shot through the heart! And Elphelt's to blame! She gives love a bad name.

But Destructivator is too incapacitated by his injuries and his swooning infatuation with the wedding-dressed heroine to fight anymore, which counts as a win. And best of all, since he wasn't actually knocked unconscious, just disabled as a combatant, there's no chance of him getting up off his back and returning to the fight through his systems shocking his body!

It was a hectic battle, and possibly a very frustrating one, but in the end, this trio has taken down a cell of one of the toughest enemy groups in Paragon City!

    Dun DUN dunnn... DAH!
