Synopsis: Freakfast and Bagels
Cast of Characters: 151, 272, 481, Inga, 811

Yunomi Stadler (272) has posed:
THE SPIRE OF NIVIX -- IZZET SECTOR -- RAVNICA

The Guildgate has been opened for guests of the IZzet to arrive. Steamcore Weirds, whose bubbling molten cores are sheathed in boiling water and contained steam watch wearily as visitors enter the Guild's most highly held domain.

The breakfast buffet is set in the main lobby area of Nivix, its grand lift a guilded cage, leaidn gup into the spire itself, where around the tops of the main room, vinework with vibrant red and blue flowers shows the favor of a certain student of the Parun's.

And amongst the hustle and bustle, goblins are reaching up and grabbing food from the tables, laden with bagels of every sort, cooked bacon and fried ham and hot sheets of eggs. Fruit platters are mostly left alone by the goblins.

Yunomi is pouring herself a large glass of orange juice, humming as she does so, clad in her azure and scarlet magewright garb, ears up and tail flicking.

Inga has posed:
Inga is easy to spot. She's the one wandering around looking completely overwhelmed. She's staring around with wide eyes and a brow furrowed, dressed in a homespun overdress, linen shift and wool cloak, hand clutching an oak staff that aids in her movement around the streets toward the spire, occasionally serving to wack anyone she suspects might by trying to snatch her belt purse.

Finally, Inga reaches the lobby, moving to the nearest seat and flopping into it to rest her legs. "Well....that was certainly interesting," she comments. The food smells excellent though, her belly grumbling in response to the presence of delicious breakfast foods.

Ainsley (151) has posed:
Ainsley shows up shortly. She floats around and even ends up stepping on the face of a particularly pushy goblin while she gathers up her own food. She smiles down at him playfully afterward, and once she's got everything she's going to eat, she finds somewhere to float up there to eat her food, balancing the plate on her tummy while she hovers above everyone.

"Thanks, Yunomi!" she calls over to the tanuki, her voice brighter and happier than she's likely to remember. Heck, it's probably been a very long time since they last saw each other in-person. The lizard's way more snappily dressed these days.

"Inga!" she waves enthusiastically at Inga, her tail wiggling in the air with barely-restrained energy. Then she stuffs a handful of bacon in her maw and makes a soft strange rolling 'chrrr' noise, sounding very happy with this morning. Nothing draws out the happy mood in Ainsley more than food or books.

Yunomi Stadler (272) has posed:
"Hey Ainsley!" Yunomi calls back to her -- and makes a face whens he realizes that she smooshed a goblin's nose! Oh no! She gives an embarrassed smile to the goblin (who happens to be a foremage on one of the jobs she's overseeing -- how embarrassing!). The mage smooths it all over by handing the goblin a bagel, and flits around, greeting everyone as she goes. She gives a grin, and wanders her way over to Inga, and offers a hand and a grin. "Hello, Yunomi Stadler. I don't think we've met in person." she introduces herself. "Welcome to Ravnica."

Kirika (481) has posed:
It doesn't take a long time for Kirika to follow, and she's dressed...interestingly. The kitsune does her best to avoid the crowds of goblins on the way, snaring up a piece of fruit along the way as she bows to Yunomi. She smiles warmly upon spotting Inga and Ainsley, wandering over to provide hugs to both girls. "It's good to see you all again, I feel like we never have time to simply enjoy each other's company."

She'll settle for a plate of bacon and eggs, as she nabs a seat. Munching on deliciously crisp bacon, she also snares a bagel with her tail, sandwiching some bacon between delicious bits of bread.

Inga has posed:
Inga looks up toward Ainsley, tilting her head slightly. A smile curves her lips. It is good to see Ainsley feeling so light hearted. And...well, just light in generally, seeing as she's floating around up there. "Ainsley! It is good to see you. You are looking well," she greets with a smile. "What a convenient power to have!" she adds with a chuckle. "How have you been? And how is Faruja?"

Inga then takes Yunomi's hand. "A pleasure to meet you in person Yunomi. Thank you for the invite. I have been meaning to see new places...even if it is usually a bit overwhelming," she comments.

Then, hugged by Kirika! Inga returns the embrace with a laugh. "Indeed. I've perhaps been a bit too much of a hermit as of late. How are you?" she asks.

Inga looks around, is she the only human in the room!?

Yunomi Stadler (272) has posed:
"Ravnica is... very overwhelming if you're not used to the city life." Yunomi gives a smile as she sits with her plate. A few other wizards -- humans and djinn alike, look surprised at the sudden spread of food -- but aren't above helping themselves. Yunomi's ears give a flick, and she waves to the other Izzet from her table, giving a smile to Kirika.
"Thaniel's being saying how I should take time to recharge from my work and my studies, and what better way than to share breakfast with about a hundred or so of my favorite coworkers and allies?"

Ainsley (151) has posed:
"It's the one very convenient power that didn't just vanish after Mirror Quest," Ainsley tells Inga, waving her hands in a dramatic fashion. She's taken a goofy view of her journey to 'find herself,' it seems. "I'm doing well. I'm doing better now that I know people are doing something in Defiant's world. Sadly, Cauldron's not really doing anything themselves, but you can't get everything you want in life. I'm going to be cross with them if they try to vanish after Scion's dealt with."
"As for Faruja~ He's doing well. Still as fuzzy and handsome as ever! He's a very busy man but we both help each other relax whenever we can." She beams at Inga.

She flicks her eyes over to Kirika, and offers bacon grease covered hand in a wave. Smile~

Inga has posed:
Now that she's rested for a few minutes, Inga stands to get a bit of food for herself. Fresh fruit? Excellent! Most of it out of season! The small things that amaze her. She also gets a bagel and a bit of bacon before returning to her seat. "I will confess," she begins to Yunomi, "I am overwhelmed easily by cities. I don't thik I will ever be used to so many people in one place."

Another smile to Ainsley, followed by a puzzled expression. "I am afraid I am out of touch with what is happening there...anything I might be able to help with?" she asks.

Kirika (481) has posed:
"I am well, thank you." Kirika says, looking very relieved as of recent. "Things have been a bit hectic, but they calmed down thankfully. World-ending shenanigans being what they are, I am just glad it turned out..better than they could have." She munches some more on bacon, before snagging a cup of juice to sip from. "I hope things are calmer on your ends."

She looks around, tail swishing side to side gently. "We will deal with Scion when that comes, I imagine." She comments to Ainsley with a slight frown, then she shrugs. "At the least the Slaughterhouse is dealt with. I helped see to that."

Yunomi Stadler (272) has posed:
"I used to be. When I was younger." Yunomi replies, giving a wry smile as she leans into her seat. She raises her glass of juice. "I'm just a country tanuki at heart, but growing up in London and Frederick, and then my constant trips to New Washington before its fall... you just get used to the hustle and bustle of the cities. Ravnica is paticularly hectic between the guild business and the visitors." Yunomi replies. "As an outsider myself, I get to see the city through that lens." she gives a small smile. "The city is always hectic."

Kirika (481) has posed:
"I am used to the country mysef. I grew up in the mountains, both in the human nations and my mother's estate." Kirika muses, looking wistful as she munches some more bacon. "The cities I am not so comfortable with, not even Tsujikyo back home. There is so much noise and so many people, I cannot imagine anybody becoming accustomed to..." She motions out at Ravnica, looking more than a little uncomfortable as she gazes out in the distance before she goes back to breakfast.

Yunomi Stadler (272) has posed:
Just as Kirika motions, an explosion rocks Nivix.

    No one seems to mind.

Hitoshura (811) has posed:
Hito makes his way through the city fairly easily, without his companions this time. He approaches the table and sets down a few melons from Ai. Then he fills up his plate, and looks around for a good seat.

Inga has posed:
Inga continues to look confused. Scion? The Slaughterhouse? She looks between Ainsley and Kirika, lips pursing slightly. She's tempted to actually open herself to a vision just to understand what she has missed!

Inga snickers to Yunomi. "I doubt I would ever get used to it. With my visions...it can get very exhausting. Seeing the wyrd of so many people in one place...I become overwhelmed after a while," she explains. A cup of tea has found its way ito her hair, which she sips.

Inga nods to Kirika. "Yes, indeed. That is why I took a cottage in Dun Realtai. I still live partly in Chicago...but I needed a retreat from the city."

Yunomi Stadler (272) has posed:
There was a group of ladies sitting at a table with various animal-like features, from tails to ears to Inga (who was the only human at the table, sadly!), and a lizard woman with her expressive mouth full of sharp teeth.

Yunomi's ears prick up, and to the new face she gives a grin, and a welcoming nod and wave over to Hitoshura.

"Dun Realtai is a fantastic place to get away... poor Bedivere has his hands full with the place." she adds with a wry smile, considering the poor, tall knight. "He's yet to visit me here, but... after some bad things happened..." she trails off, and gives a shrug, and sips her orange juice. "He's a good friend."

Hitoshura (811) has posed:
Hitoshura smiles and waves back.

"Thanks for the invite," he says.

He sits nearby, but not so close as to intrude on Yunomi or Inga or Kirika's conversation. He tries to engage the guests around him. In spite of the odd clothes of a modern 20th century high schooler from Japan, he seems to be fitting in okay.

He finds it odd that so many different cultures have such similar culinary tastes. The food is excellent. He notes the goblins in the area, and wonders about it. Goblins back home are lower to mid-level fairies, but these seem to be wizards of some kind. Hmm.

Inga has posed:
"Yes, he is a good friend...and yes, he certainly does have his hands full. A lord usually does. I'm happy to be of help to him and Lady Arturia when I can. He even puts up with me, a heathen and a witch," she adds with a laugh.

Inga looks over to Hitoshura, nodding in greeting to him. "Good day."

Kirika (481) has posed:
"Hello," Kirika has no idea who this guy is, but all the same remains polite as she dines more. "I've been considering getting a place of my own there, I rather like it in Dun Realtai all in all. Saber is a good friend, and someone I would follow anywhere." She nods calmly, before she gives Inga a smile. "If it helps, I would stick up for you if he did not."

Yunomi Stadler (272) has posed:
Yunomi gives a warm smile over to Hitoshura, and motions for him to join the other three elites who are visiting, raising her hand and motioning palm-out, closing her fingers over her palm.

"You're welcome, c'mon over here and join us. This is the 'visitors and ambassadors' table." she jokes, leaning back again in her chair. She polishes the dragon-like emblem on her shoulder.

"Well, for what it's worth, where I'm from I'd be considered one of his 'seele' spirits, but a few of my relatives would definately be considered 'unseele'. Dangerous, provocative, and causing harm to humans. He's from a low-magic world, or where people like his Merlin might have been... overwhelming." she gives an embarrassed smile. "For what it's worth, I had to overcome my own nature with a lot... and I mean a lot... of work."

Hitoshura (811) has posed:
Hitoshura smiles at Inga," Good day to you, too," He gets up and has a piece of the melon he brought. The last piece, it looks like. Well, at least it was popular. Maybe he could get some trade going to some of these other realms.

"Hello," he says to Kirika.

After being invited by Yunomi, he thanks her and sits at their table. He politely listens, and wonders about the people they're talking about. The trio seem pretty friendly, and it's nice to have some off-time and social interaction instead of just worrying about the War all the time.

He perks up at the mention of Seelie, Unseelie, and spirits, and continues to listen thoughtfully.

Inga has posed:
Inga smiles warmly to Kirika. "I am grateful to have you as a friend Kirika," she replies, placing a hand on her arm briefly.

The wisewoman then nods to Yunomi. "Yes, one of the nature spirits. We call them the landvettir. What do you mean, overcome your own nature?" she inquires with a raised brow and a raised teacup.

To Hitoshura, she extends a hand. "Inga Freyjasdottir, wisewoman. A pleasure to meet you," she introduces.

Yunomi Stadler (272) has posed:
"Oh, I'm a tanuki. We're pretty much known for being semi-useless pranksters second-fiddle to the foxes. I'm also from a really rural area." Yunomi explains quietly, and gives a bit of a shrug as she bites into a bagel.

"It's been a long time since I've performed any pranks... I had to be more... I guess mature for this position. Sometimes I miss it. Most times I'm just too /busy/ to think about it." she gives a small grin.

Hitoshura (811) has posed:
"Hitoshura, a demi-fiend, pleased to meet you as well," the young man says, "You're a wisewoman? That's cool." He shakes her hand, a firm, but gentle grip. Then to Yunomi "Tanuki? I don't think I've ever run into one of those before, although I've heard of them. That's pretty cool,"

Hitoshura (811) has posed:
smiles and nods to Kirika as well. He continues again, to make conversation and enjoy the company.

Inga has posed:
Inga nods in understanding. "Ah, I see. Well...I am from the year 876...everything was rural," she explains with a small smile. "I'm quite sure you'll find some time for a little innocent mischief. For instance, sending Bediver bottles of mead on his birthday," she suggests, grin growing.

To Hito, she looks puzzled. "Demi-fiend? I do not know what that means I confess," she replies. ...But alas, he is gone. Inga blinks, then shakes her head.

Yunomi Stadler (272) has posed:
"I'm from somewhere in the seventeenth century, best I can tell. We have 'Dutch learning'." Yunomi offers a grin, and she purses her lips as Hitoshura makes his explaination,a nd then makes an exit.

"Huh. Kinda like a demigod, like the Thor that hangs around Tony Stark." she explains, and then rubs the back of her head. "I think."

Inga has posed:
Inga stiffens slightly. "Thor is one of my chief dieties. The...Thor we have /met/ is...well. I do not know what he is. His very existence cofuses me," she sighs. "He is very...nice, though," she adds, coloring slightly. "Anyway...the 17th cetury? I see. Was it a...version of midgard? Er, Earth?" she asks.

Yunomi Stadler (272) has posed:
"Midgard, Earth, Uruk, same idea, same planet, just different cultures." Yunomi replies with a shrug as she sets her orange juice down, and picks at some grapes. "The Earth my adoptive father's from has no magic. The earth I'm from has magic, but humans aren't as skilled with it." she pauses, and gives a curious look to Inga. "... he /is/ a nice guy." she reflects. "One version of him joined me in battle. It was pretty sweet to see all the lightning being thrown around."

Inga has posed:
Inga nods in understanding. "Indeed, seems so strange that there are so many versions of earth. Is it so with other worlds?" she asks.

Inga laughs then, nodding. "Yes, it is impressive. I've learned a bit with lightning myself. I was on a world once, in the middle of a battle--not really doing much in the way of the fighting myself, but...anyway, it was a version of midgard. I called upon Thor and I /felt/ him empower my lightning. It was incredible. The Thor of the Union however, I do not think he is truly a god. He does not hear the prayers or recieve the sacrifices I do not think."

Yunomi Stadler (272) has posed:
"Some of them." Yunomi admits, and she gives a bit of a laugh, and rubs the back of her head, and she gives a bit of a shrug. "My world is stuck before indoor plumbing -- one of the greatest inventions of the 'modern' age." Yunomi jokes, and she leans back. "I used to have a patron kami. Kaeruhime. I could call upon her aid and use my powers as a guardian of Her little bit of Japan to do amazing things..." she pauses, and gives a bit of a wistful look. "No, I don't think that Thor hears prayers." she gives a wry grin. "But he's nice to look at."

Inga has posed:
Inga nods, smiling. "Yes. I am stuck in my ways for many things, but indoor plumbing is an amazing thing. There is nothing quite so good as a hot bath with such ease, or a long shower standing under the running water," she says, closing her eyes a moment, imagining. "Have you visited the baths at Dun Realtai? That is true luxury."

Inga listens, nodding. "Yes, the spirits can be called on...I always try to keep our landvettir appeased that they will look after our homes. Even in Chicago they keep a presence, for which I am glad. I would think with so little trees..." Inga sighs, shakes her head.

A gentle snort of laugh, nodding to the comment about Thor. "I cannot argue with that observation," she chuckles.

Yunomi Stadler (272) has posed:
"Anno... yes, I was there towards the end of the... Dun Realtai lady's night." Yunomi gives a laugh, and noms on a piece of bagel. "It's a very Japanese bath, and it was pretty nice to be able to relax. We have a bath here, but showers are more the norm. I get a lot of grease and metal shavings on me, it'd be really difficult to remove everything in a bath, even with washing-up before hand. But there are some natural volcanic springs..." Yunomi trails off. "... buuuut they're in some not so great areas. The danger outweighs the comfort." she explains.

And at the 'so little trees' thing, Yunomi gives a grin. It curls up at the corners of her mouth so much that it makes her eyes half-close. "If you ever need more trees, I'm totally the one to talk to. I helped reseed and replant Dun Realtai's forests..." Yunomi brushes her nails off on her leather waistbinder. "It's a talent."

Inga has posed:
"Ah, that is the manner of bath houses in Japan as well? We did not have such things, but the Romans did, and the Romans left such amazing ruins in Britain. Such a wonder...of course, I've seen more impressive since," she says with a laugh.

"Heh, I would plant more trees in Chicago but I fear there isn't much soil to grow them in. The park is nice I suppose but it lacks...its lacks the wildness of the forests. You've done very well in Dun Realtai, quite a useful talent to have! I have been working on my little garden, but it will not yield much until next year, sadly."

Yunomi Stadler (272) has posed:
"Yeah... I have the Singing Garden here. It's my own little pool of tranquility in the midst of the hustle and bustle of Ravnica. Maybe someday you cuold come by and see it. You might find it really relaxing... there's a grassy patch, and an ancient oak tree that I had to bring in from elsewhere so that it wouldn't be cut down. He's happy. You can tell." she gives a small grin, and a soft 'ha'. "But you've seen my talents, what of yours?" she inquires. "Are you a wisewoman who talks to the spirits and the gods?"

Inga has posed:
Inga smiles. "That sounds lovely, I'd be glad to see it," she replies. Even in a city like this there must be peaceful places where the trees can quietly dream.

As for Inga's talents, she chuckles. "I do, though it is more often that the gods talk to me. I am a Seer. I see the...tapestry of fate. Sometimes, gods will speak through me. I have prophecies...often I cannot help be speak them, which as you can imagine, can be rather inconvenient as I often cannot control them. I have als been taught the art of seidr. It is the magic my people know, taught to us by Freya herself. It is ah...what many here call witchcraft. Healing, charms, talismans...protection spells are a bit of a specialty of mine," she explains.

"This was was I was raised with...how to see the wyrd, how to interpret visions, how to do spells and make proper sacrifice to the gods and spirits...but not long ago, really, I was...Chosen by entities called The Buzzing. They are messengers, servants, I suppose...of a goddess some call Gaia. A goddess of the earth. Since then, my magic has...changed. It is more powerful, to be frank. More...obvious. I have since learned a few things such as how to make fire and lightning, and how to wield my blood as a weapon..." Inga shakes her head. "It is all rather complicated. Magic in my world was not as it is in so many places. Not so...tangible. Now? Now I am..." Ings sighs, waving it off. "Well, nevermind that. Those are my 'talents' as you say."

Yunomi Stadler (272) has posed:
"Pretty cool talents. After joining the Izzet, Niv-Mizzet taught me to embrace an element that I feared for its... destructive nature, and let's face it, it had a /really/ negative impact on my past." the tanuki states, and she flicks one of her ears irritability. She drinks the remainder of juice in her glass before she leans back and recounts. "I was born the child of spirit and earth. My father was a tanuki, my mother a guardian spirit who took a human form to have me. I was raised to be a Guardian, but... things went wrong." She shrugs. "Plans changed. And now I'm here, working for the Izzet. It's a good life... relatively quiet."

She pauses, and a few other Izzet around her pause, and look up, as if expecting explosions, and then they go back to their meals or conversation. Yunomi gives a small smile.

"Losing Namamura might be the best thing that's ever happened to me."

Inga has posed:
Inga's brows raise in question. "A Guardian? What is that? Also, who are the Izzit?" she inquires.

And again, because knows very little about worlds besides her own, "Namamura? Heh, I am sorry to inundate you with questions."

"I was born to humans but I have never known them. They left me in the forest to die when I was an infant. Deformed," she explains, motioning to the staff she uses to help her walk. Even with it she has a noticable limp. "But I was god-chosen. I was found being protected by wildcats. Cats are sacred to Freya. So...I was saved and raised with the gothi. Priests, I think you'd say," Inga explains. "When I grew older it became clear that I had the gift of prophecy--a strong gift. So they found me a Seer, and she was my mentor and mother for most of my life," she continues, voice going quiet as her eyes become distant. "It was as she lay dying that she gave me a prophecy. That a bee would lead my to the branches of Yggdrasil, the world tree...and that is how I came to be in the multiverse," she finished. Something dawns on her then, her eyes widening slightly. "It has to be just about a year now since I have left my home, actually."
