Synopsis: Samus Aran visits a temple and finds a place within the ranks of the priestesses.
Cast of Characters: 921, Bahamut

Samus Aran (921) has posed:
Samus Aran sets course for the target of her makr. They thought to evade her by going to a strange world in the middle of nowhere. Nobody escapes Samus ARan. Even in this sucky suit, she's sitll deadly. She then simply moves to land in the capital city - her mark is the type to like creature comforts as she simply lands right in the middle of a large square - drawing a LOT of attention. She lands the ship as the blue and yellow armored form os Samus Aran leaves her ship. She then starts to look aruond, scanning for technology.

Bahamut has posed:
Although this land is more familiar with airships now than in the past, Samus's approach and landing draws quite a lot of attention. Bevelle airspace is still tightly monitored, and when Samus lands and steps out of her ship she is approached by three guards in grey armor carrying long spears. "Halt." the lead guard says, holding up a gaunleted hand. "Who are you? State your business. This is the city of Bevelle. You cannot land without proper clearance, not to mention the landing pads are that way." He points over to one edge of the city, where aircraft that to Samus must look archaic are taking off and landing.

The guard seems amicable, but he has the look of someone who is quite serious about his work. "I'll have to ask you to relocate your ship." he says. Just before something that casts a very large shadow flies passed overhead.

Samus Aran (921) has posed:
Samus Aran shrugs. "Very well," she states as she taps a few commands on her arm-cannon. The ship then lifts off and moves to the landing pads. "My apologies. I am Samus Aran, bounty hunter," she states. She hopes that her armor is working properly - the armor is shaped to disguise her body so it's not clear what gender its bearer is, and her voice-scrubber moudlates her voice to sound neutral. She taps another command and a bounty letter iwth the mark of the Federation appears in holographic form. "There is a dangerous fugitive, a known associate of space pirates. My intelligence shows that he is in this city. He hid in this backwater world to try to hide from me. He failed. His name is Bikke. He is human, and looks like this." A bust of the man shows. "I am here to capture him and collect my bounty..." She then stares up at the shadow overhead. She immediately turns and aims her cannon up. "Can't be..."

Bahamut has posed:
"Bounty hunter, huh?" the lead guard says as he looks at the presented letter and bust. "Alright. Bounty operations are approved. Just make sure you don't endanger any of the civilian population, otherwi-"

He stops when Samus looks up and raises her canon, but rather than the guards raising their spears to the sky, they immediately point them at Samus. The form flying around overhead must look eerily similar to one of Samus's worst enemies. Long tail, silvery metallic body, broad wings and four strong limbs. And...it is spiraling downward toward Samus and the guards. Still, the guards seem more concerned about Samus than the beast closing in on them. "Lower your weapon, bounty hunter." the lead guard says firmly. "I don't know what you think that is, but it is not an enemy."

The spot where Samus's ship had been moments ago is soon filled again. This time, by a large metallic-looking dragon with rather colorful plumage. It shakes the square as it lands hard on three limbs, rather similar to how Samus often lands, then it rumbles deeply as it slowly stands up to its full 15 foot height and crosses its arms over its broad chest.

"Is there trouble, captain?" the creature says in a deep, rumbling voice. Once he is landed, it is clear this is not Samus's deadly enemy, but it might still be a bit unnerving to the bounty hunter.

Samus Aran (921) has posed:
Samus Aran just stares. Now it's Samus who's out of her depth. She just blinks. "I thought it was an old enemy. That I've slain time and time again, but he always comes back. Please tell me that creature's name. And I hope I do not hear the name I dread. The Pirate Commander who murdered my parents." She lowers her arm-cannon, but a missle is loaded in the firing chamber, and it is humming. Samus' ship, as well, is humming, engines on standby.

Bahamut has posed:
The guard captain is about to speak up when the creature raises a large taloned hand to silence him. He then grins and refolds his arms. "I am Bahamut, King of the Spiran Dragons and Aeon of Bevelle. You have nothing to fear from me, unless you are a threat to Spira and its people." the tall dragon says. The amusement he was showing when he landed flows away as he listens to Samus. He lowers to one knee slowly, then bows his head. "I am sorry to hear that your parents have fallen. You have my condolences, though I am sure they are of little comfort."

Bahamut's wings slowly fold against his sides, and he rises to his full height again. By now a crowd has gathered, and many are wide-eyed thanks to the dragon king kneeling before Samus. The guards lower their spears, though they still look tense. "This is Samus Aran, Lord Bahamut. She is here to hunt a criminal from her world that is hiding in ours."

Bahamut rumbles as he hears this, a rather menacing rumble. "Is that so? Then, tell me where we might find him, and I shall help you capture this ruffian."

Samus Aran (921) has posed:
Samus Aran nods as she lowers her arm-cannon as it stops humming. She touches one button on the control pad and the ship settles down. "I am seeking a human named Bikke. He is a sympathizer to Space Pirates, the scourge of the galaxy. He thought to outrun me by coming here. But I found him anyway. I have scans in place - if he tries to beam or take off I'll detect him. My ship is primed and ready. I don't know fur sure that he's here - but this appears to be the only big city on this world and he DOES like his creature comforts."

She then ponders and produces a piece of paper with Bikke's face on it. "Here. Distribute this to your guards. The one who finds him will get a share of the reward," she says. "I would recommend not confronting him." She glances at Bahamut. "I apologize for my hostile reaction. Dragons... the only other one I've met before was a horrible, evil, twisted thing. Named Ridley."

Bahamut has posed:
The guard captain takes the offered picture, and Bahamut nods to him. The guards move toward the large building in the center of the city. "Your apology is not necessary. I have experienced first-hand how my appearance can easily cause negative reactions in others. I once caused a major incident with an elven nation simply by flying over their lands." He chuckles and shakes his head.

"Also, this is not the only large city of Spira. While it is the largest as well as the capital, there is one other city where he could find comforts. The large port town of Luca." the dragon says, then hmms. "I will have the guards here send word there."

Samus Aran (921) has posed:
Samus Aran nods. "Yes. I saw that. But this place is larger. And more high-tech. That other town, Luca, seemed to be centered around a shipping port and some weird sports stadium which I couldn't quite identify. My mark is a master manipulator - but he appearsto have deactivated all of his equipment to make him harder to track. But he's here. If he tries to leave this world I'll find him." She ponders. "The center of government. He will try to infiltrate and take your head of state hostage. I've been tracking this guy for months."

Bahamut has posed:
Bahamut rumbles as he hears that. "I see. The world is still a bit chaotic after the Temple of Yu Yevon fell. It was the supreme law of the land, but now the cities and small settlements have been splintered into several factions. Right now there is no true head of state, but there are city leaders he could target. I will have to alert them to his presense."

Bahamut looks Samus over, then grins. "That is an impressive suit of armor. The city guards and my temple guards would likely stand little chance against it. I am sure between your power and mine, we will be able to capture this fugitive. Hopefully before he can kidnap any important figures."

Samus Aran (921) has posed:
Samus Aran nods. "I'm glad that the people here are friendly. I would've hated to have to go through all those guards to find my mark. But this is a bigger city than I first thought. He's being very careful." She sighs softly. "How far is the governemnt building? We should look there first... but... ummmm.... She ponders. " You're a bit conspicuous..." She taps some commands as certain parts of her suit stop glowing. "I'm in stealth mode. I won't trigger any scanners that are looking for energy signatures now.. but if I fire my weapons it stops... this is the building, right?" she asks, gesturing to it.

Bahamut has posed:
Bahamut nods his head at Samus's question. "The largest building serves as both my temple and the council chambers. I may be conspicuous, but I am a familiar sight here. If he has been here any amount of time, he must be used to me coming and going regularly. In this city, you will be the conspicuous one. I am sure rumors are already spreading of a strange person in powered armor landing right in the town square." Bahamut chuckles lightly. "If you go about town in that, he is sure to learn of you long before you find him. Perhaps you should leave your armor on your ship until we locate this Bikke."

Samus Aran (921) has posed:
Samus Aran nods. "Damn. You're right," she mutters. "But... this isn't a good idea..." She sighs as she shakes her head. "All of my armaments are tied into this. For one - I don't like being witout the Varia. It makes me feel... vulnerble. And two - I'm not sure how I would be received if people knew who really was under the armor. But your words are wise, dragon." She heads towards an alleyway, and slips in when nobody is looking. "Your word that you will not betray my identity?"

Bahamut has posed:
Bahamut raises an eyebrow as he listens. "Why? Are you a hideous alien creature, the likes of which this city has never seen?" he asks when she mentions uncertainty about how people will receive her. When asked for his word, Bahamut rumbles deeply and stands tall, then nods. "You have my word. I will protect your identity with my life so long as you are an ally to this city and this world." he says, then turns to stand in front of the alleyway. He is not exactly alley-sized, after all. With him there, no one is likely to see Samus emerge from her armor.

Samus likely sees that Bahamut speaks the truth as they walk. Although people look his way every now and then, no one stops and stares at him or speaks in whispers about him as they pass. They are used to him, and he is their protector. But, there are several who stare at Samus a bit before she stealthily disappears down the alley.

Samus Aran (921) has posed:
Samus Aran emerges from the alley after a few minutes, making sure that nobody is looking anymore. She is wearing a blue jumpsuit. And is shown to be a very attractive if tall woman. There are a few glowing glyphs on the suit - both hands, right breast, her back. But it doesn't look _that_ futuristic. "It is me, Bahamut." She smiles faintly as she looks around. "I hope this will be inconspicuous enough. I will not forsake it."

Bahamut has posed:
Bahamut has to keep himself from staring as Samus emerges. He coughs lightly into a hand, then chuckles. "Well, much less inconspicuous, but perhaps we should get you a temple robe while we are in the temple." he says, a slight grin on his face. "You should be able to wear it over your jumpsuit."

He then starts toward the temple, assuming Samus will walk beside him. "I must admit, I was not expecting a woman. Much less one who wears that outfit so well." he says as he walks, stealing glances over at Samus every now and then. "This evil dragon who has tormented your life, how has he returned so many times? I would be honored to help you deal with such a foul creature if he were to return once again."

Samus Aran (921) has posed:
Samus Aran nods. "Thank you," she states. "If you could fetch me that robe before I enter, things will be well. I think there's either some cloning involved - or a cybernetic copy or... I don't know. My enemies are crafty, and my mark works for them." She is sticking to the shadows. "This is the first bounty I've hunted since... my accident. I'd rather not talk about it. Just... one thing. This is a world that uses 'magic'. I have... a weakness to cold. I hope there is no such thing here - I really can't detect magic." She is talking quietly as she will slide over and wait for Bahamut to fetch her a robe. "I'm very tall so keep that in mind. Just over six feet or right around two meters depending on what scale you use here>"

Bahamut has posed:
Bahamut leads Samus to the grand entrance of the temple, then waits for her to enter before he closes the door. But, rather than massive hallways or the like that one might expect from a temple, this one is filled with...nothing. It is a vast, spherical space that has several floating platforms connected by energy conveyors. In the center is a smaller sphere, and Samus's sharp eyes can likely see a platform on it similar to the one she is standing on now. "I am afraid cold is a rather common magic here. Not as common as fire, but still, if your enemy has made allies here it is a strong possibility that you will encounter cold magic. However, we also have charms that can ward one against cold magic."

Bahamut steps to the edge of the entrance platform, then spreads his wings. "Are you sure you wish to stay here? I do not know your world, but on this one the chance to ride on the King of Dragons as he flies is a very rare and marvelous opportunity." He grins lightly, then holds out one of his large, taloned hands. "Come, I have yet to meet someone who did not enjoy the ride."

Samus Aran (921) has posed:
Samus Aran blinks. "Ummmmm.... this is _strange_," she muses. "But I will take the opportunity. I am not afraid of heights. And if I would to fall, I could engage my armor in midair and space jump." She then hops aboard with great agility. "Where will these temple robes come from?" she asks curiously.

Bahamut has posed:
Bahamut chuckles as Samus lands on his back. If she needs it, there are plenty of places to hang on thanks to his metallic skutes. Once Samus is aboard, Bahamut just slowly leans forward until he falls from the platform. He dives for a good distance before he levels out, giving them the speed of a missile as they fly through the massive sphere cave. He doesn't go directly for the center sphere, instead he takes some time to enjoy the flight and let Samus do the same. He banks and darts about, and even does a loop or two.

"What do you think?" he asks as they fly, the wind whipping over them. "As for the robes, they will come from the wardrobe of my temple priestesses. I am sure we have at least one who is as tall as you." His booming voice echoes a bit within the confined area, making him sound much more god-like than he did before. Once he has had his fun, he moves in for a landing in the center sphere.

The landing is smooth, but with his weight it is also a bit jarring. He lands like he did when they first met, then slowly rises again after letting out a roar. It seems almost ingrained in him to land in such a way and announce his presense. When he does, a small group of priestesses emerge from inside the sphere. "Welcome home, Lord Bahamut." they all say in unison, then they escort Bahamut inside.

Samus Aran (921) has posed:
Samus Aran smiles as she stays on Bahamut's back. She decides to stay there, and observe, hopefully not having been noticed. She doesn't detect any other life-forms inside this temple so decides she'll just let the priestesses disguise her. She has a weapon at her hip - but it doesn't appear that threatening. Just a small pistol.

Bahamut has posed:
If the priestesses notice Samus, they make no mention of it. Bahamut allows Samus to ride him all the way into his living area. There, a large banquet hall fills much of the space, with a table long enough to seat at least 20. At the head of the table is a large fire pit with a roasting spit over it, and on the other side of that is a throne large enough for Bahamut. But, for now, he heads toward one of the side rooms. This one is obviously made for the priestesses, and they follow Bahamut as he approaches it.

"Do you require something of us, lord?" one of them asks. Bahamut nods, then motions to Samus. "I need a robe of proper size for a this priestess initiate. She will be travelling with me until I decide if she is worthy to join our ranks." he says, obviously laying the groundwork for cover while Samus is in the city. The priestesses nod, then motion for Samus to go with them.

Samus Aran (921) has posed:
Samus Aran slides off of Bahamut's back. She smiles softly as she looks around. "You can call me..." She hesitates, then quietly murmurs, "Virginia." She sounds wistful when she said that name. But doesn't explain further. She didn't want to use a name that sounded anyting like her normal name and this name is very dear to her as she follows the priestesses.

Bahamut has posed:
After hopping down, Samus has time to look at the architecture. It is all a mixture of alabaster stones and gunmetal grey panels, obviously meant to honor Bahamut. The process of gaining a robe involves the usual tailoring measurments, but luckily Samus does not have to wait for a custom robe. There happens to be a priestess of her stature that works in the temple and is happy to allow the new initiate to borrow a robe. Like the temple, the robe is long and alabaster, with metallic grey and gold accents, with the arms multicolored like Bahamuts wings.

"Alright, Virginia, you are properly clothed for service to Lord Bahamut." one of the priestesses says when Samus is clothed. "And you will not have to worry about the eyes of the common folk on your body. Goodness! That outfit you are wearing underneath is hardly appropriate for a priestess to wear in public."

She doesn't seem to be scolding or judging, just stating an opinion. And after she does, she and the other priestesses giggle a bit. "I suppose you were trying to curry extra favor with Lord Bahamut?" she says as they lead 'Virginia' back to the main hall.

Samus Aran (921) has posed:
Samus Aran smiles faintly. "Hey, ladies... I have to use the weapons I have in my arsenal. I... am a warrior. But maybe I've fought long enough and need some peace. Bahamut could help me find that peace." She had tucked her glasses in a pocket. "I figured that I'd catch his attention in that jumpsuit." She smiles faintly as she emerges, in the robes. The glow of her Zero Suit doesn't even show through it.

Bahamut has posed:
The priestess that seems to be leading the others giggles again. "Yes, our lord is well known for his roving eye, but he maintains honor and decorum despite it." she says as they emerge into the main hall. Bahamut looks over from his throne, then smirks lightly. "That robe suits you, Virginia." he says, then stands. "Well, shall we depart? I am sorry we cannot stay longer, but I have business in the city." he says, likely for the priestesses' benefit. He starts back toward the landing platform.

The priestesses walk them to the platform, and Bahamut spreads his wings again. "Thank you, Alisa. Virginia's robe seems to fit well." The priestess nods, then leads the others back inside. "Have a safe journey, Lord Bahamut! And welcome to the sisterhood, Virginia!"

Samus Aran (921) has posed:
Samus Aran waves. She then sighs softly. "My mother's name... I'm using my mother's name now... I don't want word that someone with a name similar to mine has just joined the sisterhood. It'd be too suspicious. Nobody, not even from my home galaxy, would know 'Virginia' was my mother. This, in a way..." she murmrus as shew aits for Bahamut to fly back toward the entrance. "... will let my mother in a small way protect her little girl one more time..."

Bahamut has posed:
Bahamut lowers his head solemnly as he listens. "I am sure she would be proud of you, and honored for this opportunity to protect you." he says, reverence in his voice. "The love of a family member is among the strongest of all. I am sure that even from the Farplane...or wherever your people go after death..she is watching over you."

Then, he takes off, just as he did last time. It is unlikely that he has to dive in order to gain momentum for flying. He just likes how it feels. He does a few maneuvers, but makes his way fairly quickly back to the temple entrance. "Now, you will blend into the city seamlessly. You will be able to go almost anywhere as one of my followers. And asking questions about the location of someone will not raise suspicion. I am guardian of this city. It is not unusual for my priestesses to conduct investigations for me." He lands again, and the temple doors open. The brightness of the sunlight is probably a bit blinding after being inside the sphere cave. "You can contact me on the radio if needed. You should go begin your search. I will warn the city council that there could be a dangerous criminal hiding in our citizenry."

Samus Aran (921) has posed:
Samus Aran murmurs, "Don't warn the council. Just those you trust." She sighs softly as she looks down at herself. "I have a radio with my glasses. They have scanning equipment - I probably can't wear them to use the scanners without breaking cover but I'll find my mark. I thank you, Lord Bahamut." She smiles as she got a channel to call and then disappears into the city.

Bahamut has posed:
After a good night's rest, the priestesses of Bahamut are going about daily chores. Samus, as an apparent initiate, is being shown the basics of serving Bahamut. Really, there isn't much to it. Bahamut is a rather clean person to begin with, so cleaning the temple is really just dusting and mopping for an hour or two then doing whatever the priestesses want to do.

However, when mealtimes come Samus finds that there is a -lot- to do. Bahamut is a dragon, after all, so preparing meals for him is no small task. Usually it consists of roasting an entire animal of some kind, along with a large assortment of fruits and vegetables.

Bahamut rises at dawn to begin his daily task of patrolling the city and the surrounding lands for criminals and fiends. And, as Samus is his new personal assistant, he has taken her along on his patrol so that they can scout while at the same time sharing information. He is flying much more casually than he did yesterday. He was probably just showing off before. They are nearing the end of his patrol, so they will have time to do more indepth investigations. "So, did you find any leads in the town?" Bahamut asks as they fly.

Samus Aran (921) has posed:
Samus Aran sighs softly as she just participated in the 'feast'. Everyone's been so nice toher - and it makes Samus a bit sad that she's lying to the priestesses. She promises herself to make amends to them. And she doesn't utilize any of her tech - she could kill and roast a big creature, like these large birds, with little effort but is playing along. She then goes out on patrol. "I checked through all the bars and the few underground brothels. No sign. The guards haven't seen him. So he's still in the city. I'm ruling out all the small places. The temple was going to be one of the places I would check. There is only one possible answer left. That palace," she states, pointing to the palace that the government center would be in. "And if he's not there - then I might have to admit defeat. Or check in Luca."

Bahamut has posed:
Bahamut growls and his teeth are bared as he thinks of this criminal somewhere within the temple palace. "If he has harmed anyone within the temple, I may have to compensate you for your bounty." he says as they fly in for a landing in the very square that Samus landed in the day before. Apparently it is fine for -him- to land there.

Once on the ground, he makes his way calmly toward the palace where the city council lives and meets. He and Samus are allowed in without question. Once inside, Bahamut takes a moment to let Samus down. "If he were here, who would he be impersonating?" he asks in as soft a voice as he can manage. Others would likely know he is speaking, but would have trouble making out his words.

Samus Aran (921) has posed:
Samus Aran murmurs, "He's a crafty one. He probably would try to infiltrate one of the staff of the councillors. He wouldn't be too bold to be one of the main people - but the staffers of the councillors have a lot of power too, just more subtle. But as far as I know, nobody but me and you has entered the temple in days, so said the priestesses." She smiles faintly as she slides down,a nd starts to head into the palace. "He'll want to watch the Council in session though. He'll be there. But he won't know me."

Bahamut has posed:
Bahamut rumbles as he listens, then nods. "Let us continue to the council chamber, then." he says before he starts down the large hallway. Although it wasn't designed for him, the entry hall is plenty large enough to accomidate the dragon. "Well, my section of the temple is not used for anything more than my quarters. It used to be a Cloister of Trials for the journeying summoners, but since that profession is no longer available or required, only my priestesses and I use it. They would be unlikely to see people coming and going from the council section of the temple."

The entry hall is rather long, as expected of a compound that used to be the seat of an entire religious empire. When they reach the council chamber, it too is vast and extravagant. The council is currently in session, so it should be easy to look through the council members and their staff, all of whom would be present here.

Samus Aran (921) has posed:
Samus Aran follows Bahamut as she glances at the guards. They don't recognize her either - which is the way she wants it. She moves to lean against the wall. She then goes to Bahamut. "There. The redhead behind the head councilor's right shoulder. That's my mark."

Bahamut has posed:
Bahamut stands tall at the entrance to the council chamber, his usual stance. A few councilors and staffers look over, but none take much notice of him. "Alright...how do you wish to handle this? I am not really made for low profile operations." he says, smirking lightly to Samus. His eyes track the redhead for a moment before he looks on to something else. He doesn't wish to raise suspicion.

Samus Aran (921) has posed:
Samus Aran nods. "I'm going to go over there, and during the next recess, introduce myself to the head councilor and say that it's a pleasure to be in this city for the first time - and then I'll simply tackle him. It'll be up to you to make sure nobody stops me. I'm far stronger than I look."

Bahamut has posed:
Bahamut blinks at the plan, then grins. "Alright." is all he says, then he waits. The next recess is thankfully not far away. About 10 minutes and a break is called. The council members start toward their respective rooms in order to prepare their notes for the next part of the session. As the recess is called, Bahamut continues to watch. It will take the council and staff several minutes to collect their things and retreat to their private planning rooms, giving Samus a chance to act.

Samus Aran (921) has posed:
Samus Aran smiles as she starts circling around the table, still feeling a bit awkward inher priestess robes. "Chancellor?" she asks, doing her best to act shy. "I... I just wanted to say that... I'm honored to be in this city of yours for the first time. Lord Bahamut there," she states, gesturing to the dragon, "took me in. I had no home, no family. He is giving me a place and he made me an initiate. Just... thank you." She extends her hand. She hasn't even looked at Bikke yet who's still there, smirking at the apparent clueless naive priestess.

Bahamut has posed:
Bahamut nods lightly as Samus gestures toward him, but otherwise says nothing. The councilmember smiles the smile of the politician as Samus introduces herself. "Well, wasn't that kind of him. I am sure a girl such as yourself has much to offer Lord Bahamut. But, I am afraid I must be going. The council recess is not a long one, and I am looking forward to a proper ramen." The councilman bows lightly, then turns to depart. The disguised Bikke, if he knows is roll, will follow after the councilman.

Samus Aran (921) has posed:
Samus Aran nods and the moment Bikke turns, she leansf orward and wraps her arms around him. "Gotcha, Bikke," she whispers in his ears as she pulls her Paralyzer pistol and holds it to his back. "You'll walk out all nice, right? Or I'll carry you." She just waits to see his response as she's half-strangling him. "Sorry, Chancellor... but this scum is a wanted criminal where I'm froom."

Bahamut has posed:
As soon as Samus pulls her pistol, the many guards in the room move into action. But, a quick roar of 'Stop!' from Bahamut brings everyone in the room to a stop. He grins, then starts toward Bikke and Samus. "My apologies, Councilmen, for the interruption. But, it has come to my attention that this man is not who he seems. My priestess and I are taking him into custody. If you feel you need to lodge a complaint, you are certainly welcome to do so through the proper channels."

Bahamut closes in and the guards join him, now aiming their spears and firearms at Bikke. "Please, all councilmembers, vacate the room. This man is quite dangerous, and the fewer people in here the better." The councilmembers all complain, but do as Bahamut says. The councilman who had been employing Bikke looks horrified. "You! You vile criminal! How did you manage to snake your way into my staff?!" But, he doesn't get an answer as guards and his staff usher him out.

Samus Aran (921) has posed:
Samus Aran nods. "Allow me to make a proper introduction," she muses softly as she sheds the priestess robes, letting them fall to the floor. She then holds her left hand to her chest, and the glyps on the Zero Suit glare brightly. Armor begins to materialize on Samus' body, and soon enough her helmet as well which lights up, much to Bikke's disgust as he gets terror. "I am Samus Aran, bounty hunter. And you are under arrest for collaborating and providing support to Space Pirates." She raises her left hand and a blue beam of energy extends from it and wraps around him. "Any statements you make from now on will be recorded and used at your trial." The guards blink, but now the story about the armored figure who was looking for a criminal makes sense. "Thanks for holding him for me, guards, while I got properly attired."

Bahamut has posed:
The guards all watch wide-eyed as Samus sheds the robe and calls her armor. Bahamut chuckles as he watches them. "Well, that went rather smoothly. Usually such quests on my world take weeks and involve a lot of fighting fiends and henchmen." he says as Samus wraps up Bikke. Once the criminal is bound, Bahamut rumbles. "I will escort you to your ship. If this man is as dangerous as you believe, the extra security is no doubt required."

The guards stay in the council room, ready to defend against any further intruders. Once outside, Bahamut's guards join Samus and Bahamut in walking to the ship. "I must admit, I will be sad to see you go." he says to Samus as they walk.

Samus Aran (921) has posed:
Samus Aran nods as Bikke just stares at her defiantly. He starts to spout some Pirate propaganda and Samus simply sighs and shoots him wtih a stun beam. "Thank you, Bahamut." She picks up the robes and tosses them to him. "After I secure the prisoner - I need you to take me back to the temple." She then starts walking with him, as she simply threw the guy over her shoulder as she heads out towards the ship. She arrives and locks him up. "Yes - I never thought I'd find a dragon I liked. Maybe I'll come back here on a... vacation. And look up that 'blitzball' that a few of the priestesses mentioned." The prisoner secured, she leaves her gunship. "Will you take me to the temple one more time?"

Bahamut has posed:
Bahamut catches the robe, then nods to Samus. "Of course. The priestesses will want to say goodbye." he says, then crouches so she can climb on. "Unless of course you would like to stay on as an initiate. It is my temple, after all. Your duties to the temple extend only so far as I see fit." Once Samus is on his back, Bahamut takes off and heads for his temple again. Rather than landing this time he flies right for the main door. The doors open as he nears them, and he folds his wings in quickly before spiraling his way through and into the vast cavern, where he spreads his wings again and resumes normal flying to his floating sphere island.

Samus Aran (921) has posed:
Samus Aran is not looking forward to telling the priestesses she lied to them. But she does have a copy of the bounty letter. "I think not. The life of a priestess is not for me. I am a bounty hunter and a good one." She watches as she remains in her armor until they arrive at the priestess' abode as she slides out. "Sisters - I have... some things to talk to you about..."

Bahamut has posed:
Bahamut chuckles at Samus's response, then watches as she goes to speak to the priestesses. Alisa steps forward as Samus says she needs to talk. "What is it, sister? And...why have you shed your robe?" All of the priestesses look uncertainly toward Samus and her armor.

Samus Aran (921) has posed:
Samus Aran had removed her helmet before coming forward. "I wish to apologize... I... am not a priestess. I never have been. My real name is Samus Aran." She hands the head priestess a copy of the bounty letter. "I was after this criminal who came from another world to hide in your city. I... had to find a way to locate him - and be able to approach - undercover. I came to apologize for the deception."

Bahamut has posed:
Alisa looks at the letter, then at Samus, then smiles softly. "If Lord Bahamut made you an initiate, then you were an initiate. Whether you remain one or not is up to you. So, you are forgiven. And, you are welcome here anytime. Lord Bahamut would not initiate anyone who he did not feel was worthy."

Bahamut chuckles at his priestess's words, then steps forward. "Alisa is right. I may have granted you initiate status for your cover, but that does not mean it is now invalid. You are, until such time as you renounce it, an initiate of Bahamut. And, as I said, I grant you special permission to serve only at your leisure, if at all."

He then lowers to a knee and places the robe around Samus again, just resting it around her shoulders. "Keep the robe. Let it be a source of inspiration. You are worthy of it."

Samus Aran (921) has posed:
Samus Aran nods. "Yes. What would an 'initiate of Bahamut' do exactly?" she asks. "I was never into religious stuff. I was raised by a race of... monks, I guess would be the easiest way to say it. They believed in enlightenment. But they're gone now. It's like I was orphaned twice. My Varia was my last remnant of them - even that's gone." She shrugs, wiping a tear from her eyes. "I am honored that you'd accept me. Bahamut knew my goals all along. It was his idea that I do this undercover work. I thank you for accepting me. Maybe - when things are going too crazy and I need a place to hide or relax, I'll come back." She just strokes the robes with her one available hand.

Bahamut has posed:
The priestesses all smile as Samus accepts the robe. Bahamut shrugs lightly at the question. "An initiate typically learns what it is to be an initiate, then what it is to be a priestess. The Temple of Yu Yevon is no more. This is merely a temple of Bahamut. Which means, basically, that my priestesses serve me. They see to my needs, ensure that my meals are prepared, and otherwise lead their own lives. I do not enforce any particular religious practices beyond wearing the robe. But, I do require that all my priestesses be of pure mind and heart, and that they believe in truth and justice as well as working to better the world. You seem to believe in all of these things already, which means you are a perfect canditate for priesthood."

Alisa nods. "The mere fact that you felt you had to return and tell us the truth shows that you are an initiate of Bahamut already."

Samus Aran (921) has posed:
Samus Aran nods. "One more thing you should know. Virginia - was my mother's name. She was killed by the Space Pirates when I was a child. Her name was lost to history. In a way - she protected one once more as a mother should." She then smiles. "I will come back one day. I will treasure these robes. They will be a reminder to me if I ever doubt my path."

Bahamut has posed:
The priestesses seem touched by Samus's story about her mother. They move in to surround Samus with a group hug, then smile. "Well, what should we call you? Many priestesses take new names when they join the temple, wishing to distance themselves from their old life." Alisa says. Bahamut rumbles lightly before looking at Samus. "Shall we use your real name now that the mark has been captured?"

Samus Aran (921) has posed:
Samus Aran nods. "I will use 'Virginia' then. My name is known across the multiverse. It would be tragic... if one of my enemies came here looking for me. I just thought you should know who i really was. You deserved that." She then glances at Bahamut. "With your permission, I will depart. And I don't need a ride this time. Perhaps I can impress you."

Bahamut has posed:
Bahamut rumbles lightly and nods. "Very well. Let it be known that Virginia is now a fully-fledged initiate of Bahamut. May you see victory in all of your battles, and carry the light of truth and justice in all you do." he says. The sisters bow their heads respectfully, then cheer for their new sister. "Welcome to the sisterhood, Virginia!"

Samus Aran (921) has posed:
Samus Aran smiles as she nods and hugs all the priestesses. "I have to go now - this prisoner needs to be returned." She then ponders. "I'm going to donate some of this bounty to your sisterhood. What is the best form of currency to do so with? I doubt Federation credits would have much value..."

Bahamut has posed:
Bahamut chuckles. "Make your donation in whatever form you see fit. We will be able to get it traded in properly. However, I am eager to see this method of travel that will allow you to impress me." he says, grinning lightly. The priestesses also seem curious, and they all move toward the landing platform.

Samus Aran (921) has posed:
Samus Aran nods as she focuses as she makes a running start and jumps off the platform - and then a flare of throsters as she seems to continue to 'jump' in the air, going through the long distance to land on the other platform. "The Space Jump!" she callls as she waves, then folds the robes neatly and steps out of the temple.

Bahamut has posed:
The priestesses all freak out a little when Samus just runs and jumps off the platform. Bahamut tenses, ready to intervene, but figures Samus knows what she is doing. Then, when she starts jumping through the air, the priestesses all watch wide-eyed and amazed. Bahamut is a bit impressed himself. When she lands safely on the other side, she can hear the distant cheers of the priestesses and a happy laugh from the dragon.
