Cast of Characters: Nagato, 928

Momoyo Kawakami (928) has posed:
Momoyo was still struggling with her Union paperwork. Not only did she show up on a base that looked ancient compared to her world, but proving she was supposed to be there was tricky... it was exactly as noisy with her getting to the office as her inviting officer has hoped.

Showing the girls enough Union paperwork to prove she was, in fact, in the Union, she finally managed to make it into the office. Dressed in her usual outfit, her school uniform jacket only hung about her neck, but the rest of her clothing was her typical zipped up sleeveless shirt and her school skirt. She almost couldn't make out a single aura on the base either. Well, she could, but they were strange... after all, power was not measured the same way she was accustomed to here. After arguing briefly with /Akagi/ of all people, she was just as noisy as all the videos and paperwork on this Last Chancer showed sitting on Nagato's desk. So she finally arrives escorted properly, after being told numerous times not to fly after she suggested it, lest she be hit with flak cannons.

Nagato has posed:
With the guidance from Akitsumaru, walking her up towards the office (One could almost swear that she doesn't seem to belong with the rest of the girls, with that grey outfit and pale complexion...), she gives a rapid knock at the door, which is then given, "Akitsumaru, reporting Sir! Guest has arrived safely, Sir, we request entrance." Formal as ever, the Landing Cruiser gives a brief nod, looking towards Momoyo, "Proper respect is key, Sir. Please do not do anything to anger the Admiral..."

Meanwhile, Nagato has pulled up information from the Union databases using what looks to be a fancy, futuristic computer inside an office that's straight out of a naval shipyard. There's a pair of boxed figures of the Nagato-class battleship in all its glory on dressers and a curtained off section that shows the faintest hint of cots and cables. "Come in. AKitsumaru, prepare the docks once more for departure." with that said, the doors swing open by Akitsumaru's hands before she makes a rather firm about face, heading off towards the docks without a further utterance.

"Kawakami..." she states, that stoic tone and peircing eyes aiming right for the woman before her. "Last chancer program. Battle capable and willing. Impressive videos and reports on your capabilities." a bit of ego boosting is always a good thing, "Do you know why I called you here, Kawakami?"

Momoyo Kawakami (928) has posed:
She folds her arms, which seemed to be a normal pose for her. Unfortunately, her appearance, the way she carried herself, her loosely kept bangs, those red eyes... she looked like a total delinquent. At night, it'd be easy to mistake her for Abyssal.

"Mmm, I'm always looking for a strong opponent but haven't been too far off-world just yet." she replies, noting her paperwork all over the desk. Still, despite her cocky attitude and slight smirk, she wasn't disrespectful to Nagato. Problems with authority seemed to be written all over her profile, but at the very least for her monstrous strength she was an easy read.

"I assume you want me to cause trouble somewhere, so you can run an operation...?" she asked. It was a standard assumption for Last Chancers being called into Union holdings formally. After that, though, she knew enough to keep her mouth shut... the woman in front of her held herself very similarly to her grandfather after all. So she didn't run off at the mouth even as she looked over the interesting fusion of futuristic data tracking and historical building. She was desperately trying to size up Nagato... but that was impossible for her. Nagato wouldn't likely have the same aura as a human, after all.

Nagato has posed:
Nagato does have an aura, it's ... really not an aura that one would consider human, but it looks pretty powerful. "Mmm, no, I don't need you to cause trouble... yet." she starts, sizing up the woman before her herself, eyes lidded and focused. "More so, I am in need of assistance with training for a few people and you look to be able to take the brunt of a few... heavy... blows." she emphasizes the last three words of that sentence, "Hachi, Iku, Goya, Yuu, Shioi and Taigei are currently out on a long expedition.

Nagato stands up from her chair, placing the papers down on the desk, her back turned towards the woman, "I shall get to the point. What I need you to do is act as a target for the Special Destroyer Project girls: Kagurazaka, Naikui and Amakasu. The reason for mentioning the former six girls are that they're submarines and, I would like your help in training the latter three in dealing with submersable targets. Or in this case, Target. You'll be provided the resiquite armament and clothing to fufill the role adequately and to minimize damage done by depth charges launched by the three Destroyers and, in addition, you will be compensated for your time and given a room at the base."

Nagato's head turns just a bit to allow one eye to rest upon Momoyo, "Of course, this is just a singular offer. I cannot force you to do this, I just see this as... a mutual arrangement. You get your fights, my girls get their practice."

Momoyo Kawakami (928) has posed:
She runs her fingers through her hair, letting out a sigh. "I admit, it sounds interesting... so why are you asking me?" she asks, carefully. She might only have average intelligence herself, but that sort of cunning you just can't calculate without facing the woman down oneself.

"Seems like you felt this was something that needed a specific skillset." she prods. She so desperately wanted to challenge Nagato herself, but like with Amalthea this wasn't really the time to insist on sparring. What's more, she just fought to a draw with an elite Shinra agent, something the two of them both already knew meant she wasn't in an as antsy a mood as she could otherwise be. This was actually the perfect time to try to pitch a delicate operation to her. Taking hold of one of the chairs, she turns it so the back is facing Nagato, straddling it. Her chin rests on her folded arms, and if one didn't already know better she could easily have been a punk friend of a heavy cruiser. "...and how hard did you want me to hit them back...?"

Nagato has posed:
"After going through what I could and seeing videos and reading various reports, you were the natural choice to try the submarine experimentation with. You have a skillset that I could use for the Fleet and I plan on taking advantage of it, if you're willing." Nagato lets out a hmm, staring down Momoyo a bit more, turning around to face her once more. "This is a training exercise using low explosive torpedoes, however, I want you to /try/ to sink them. The enemy fleet, the Abyssals, field submarines to take out larger ships like myself, protection is key. That's where you come in."

"Kagurazaka, Naikui and Amakasu are still relatively new girls, only having a handful of training excerises and one mission under their belt." she gives a brief nod, "Of course, when you're trying to hit them, they will be retaliating back." Nagato pulls out a small box and slides it over the desk. "Inside is what we've got for the submarines of the Fleet. It's adequate to provide the speed and stealth nessecary for underwater combat and contains the needed construction to work with the torpedo launchers custom made for this suit. It is also armored to protect against shells and anti submarine weaponry."

Upon opening the box, if it is, is a school swimsuit that looks like it'll fit perfectly, along with a blank nametag on it and a waterproof sharpie. "Any questions?"

Momoyo Kawakami (928) has posed:
She pulls out the suit, looking it over. She had to... try not to giggle. And failed. She laughed a little. To Nagato's credit though, the suit was her exact size. Someone was paying attention to her vitals and measurements. "No... this is fine."

She turns back to Nagato seriously. "Uh. I'm not in the habit of killing my opponents unless I absolutely have to. Once I'm used to the suit, I'm used to fighting multiple opponents, and I assume you don't want me flying very much or there will be a couple extra rules for moves I can't use..." she knits her eyebrows. "If these girls are as green as you say, what happens if I actually sink one...?" She was genuinely worried that she was being sent to completely break three greenhorns in. It was one thing to taunt her classmates to attack her all at once, it was quite another for a high ranking officer to sanction her brutalizing her allies.

Nagato has posed:
"Good." comes the one word response to 'this is fine'. "You won't be killing anyone of the fleet, you'll be armed with training torpedoes that do little damage. With the girls, if you do sink one, they can swim and we will have Akitsumaru and the rest ready to retrieve them. To put your mind at ease, I have ordered a ship to fire upon them during a training session with paint rounds to help with aim." a pause is given when the mention of flying is noted.

"Right, if possible, limit your flight to non mission, non training times. You will be underwater most if not all the time so... for you, lung capacity or air tanks will help with this." she moves to sit back down in her chair and lean back just slightly, "I see no problems with going all out against them. Mind, you're the enemy to them and will be that way during this training session. They will be trying to sink you too." a slight grin, "Of course, they will be using low detonation depth charges, so don't expect too much damage done."

Momoyo Kawakami (928) has posed:
It started to finally sink into her thick skull that she couldn't just go ballistic. None of her more ridiculous moves made sense, she was there to dodge and be shot at. But that did answer her question, there was very little risk of killing anyone.

"I don't think I've seen your enemies before. If you want me to look the part, I might need to see some data on them." she couldn't put her finger on it and wasn't about to say it out loud to Nagato. But she started to get the sinking feeling this wasn't about to go as planned... if she was forced to expose herself to her allies to deal with the enemy, then she suddenly had three very panicked rookies if she decided to fight back conventionally. A shadow crosses her face as she starts to consider that possibility, one a sharp officer could read without prying the specifics out of a grunt like her.

Still, it was quite notable that she otherwise seemed reasonably confident she could do the job. "Got it, I'll have you handle the note to my grandpa Kawakami Tesshin excusing me from school and explaining I've been temporarily drafted into the Japanese Navy for the next month." she grins wryly. Surely The Admiral could write enough stationary to get her out of her karate-master-cum-school-superintendent grandfather to get off her back. This type of training exercise was one of the many reasons he let her end up in the Union rather than the mild threat of prison time for Unification, after all.

Nagato has posed:
"There is no need to look the part." Nagato's voice turns firm and cold, "I do not need a base scare for a rogue Abyssal submarine. IN addition, we do not have the materials to provide such a ... disguise." a pause, note huh.. Nagato pulls out a peice of paper and sets it into an old style typewriter. There's a calligraphy pen in an inkwell nearby as well. Tak-tak-tak-tak... The note does take quite a bit to write and, with the Admiral's signature...

"It's a draft notice, for the Hikari Combined Fleet, not the Japanese Navy. Functionally, it should provide the same effects. While you're on base, you will join the classes here as well, I will not have you skip out on schoolwork and Ashigara will not have it either. You will report to myself or my secretary ship, Atago, for any needs." she offers the letter, now sealed up, towards the woman, "You are also free to back out at any time. I will not get in the way of your own goals if they prove counter to the Fleet's."

She stares down Momoyo in the eyes, "Any questions, Kawakami?"
