Tinyplot: When They Return

Staren has posed:
Staren is waiting at the hub, by the warpgate, for Kotone's arrival. He watches the Legacies with interest, but when Kotone arrives, he nods to her. "Heya. So, I found you a... donor? Would that be the right word?" He looks at the gauntlet on his arm. Whatever response is given, he looks back to Kotone again. "This way. Let's get someplace slightly less crowded." And he leads her into the Blue Wing, looking for Noble Six.

Noble Six (38) has posed:
Noble Six is...Gasp. Not in armor. Her armor got royally messed up in her fight yesterday, so she had to put it in for repairs. As such, she is sitting in the blue wing wearing a UNSC combat utility uniform and looking generally uncomfortable. She has Enforcer in her hand, considering that he integrates with her armor, she had to make sure he hadn't gotten damaged in the battle. Several bandages cover her arms, keeping precious things like blood inside.

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
Fayt calmly makes his way into the blue wing, pulling what looks like a crate on a floating pallet behind him. "Hey Staren? you here? I'm ready to do that experiment. I brought some random stuff with me in case we need to make more protoabstractum for this."

Kotone Yamakawa has posed:
Kotone Yamakawa has not had the best relation with Staren but he is helpful and he's at least not tried to get her to go run out adding ten tons of upgrades to her body or even. Shudder swapping bodies. God that was a creepy thought to her even if she could do it now. She nods and follows along and takes a lok at Noble Six for a moment. Before she look to STaren and then Fayt.

"Yes, I have."

Staren has posed:
Staren blinks as he sees... Noble Six? "Uh... is it okay for you to be seen out of your armor?" He nods to Fayt. "I brought some stuff. Was it copying, or transferring, that you said you could do?" He then looks back to Kotone. "I have an experiment to do with Fayt, but as long as we're all together, I thought we may as well all help out in the Genesis Drive, since more than one Abstractum can participate."

Abstractum.Net (347) has posed:
"See, this sort of thing is what I'm talking about, what you should be doing!" Enforcer is saying to Noble Six. The little arm-piece keeps an upbeat tone! "You need these sorts of social things."

Then, the little eye-gem turns to Kotone! "Hi there! So you wanna have an Abstractum, right? You got any questions, or do you wanna get started?"

Noble Six (38) has posed:
"It's not a containment suit." Six replies, as the blonde looks up at Staren. She looks remarkably young without the armor on. She stands up from her sitting position and moves closer to where the others are, and Enforcer talks, as she holds him up so he can see everyone, "I'm probably not going to be the best at answering questions, but Enforcer or Staren probably can."

Staren has posed:
Staren blinks. "I mean, I thought your identity was like super-secret, that's why you use a codename." He looks back to Kotone again. "It's true. I actually have like a five-page textbook for you to read if you like... But let's start with page one:"

Suddenly, using protocols from her world, Staren's radio offers Kotone a small text file.

Kotone Yamakawa has posed:
Kotone Yamakawa has not seen Noble Six out of armour she looks Six nodding a little bit to her.

"It looked like a scaled down hardsuit or something along those lines I think? But what do I know I'm still pretty new to the multiverse."

She looks to the little eye-gem and nods. She also takes the file from Staren and will download it to go over while she talks.

"Yes I do want one and I'd like to get started. I also have been given some information on them as well. I should be good."

She smiles a bit but it's clear she's a bit nervous.

Noble Six (38) has posed:
This actually gets a surprising reaction out of Six. She laughs. It's faint, and it's not really a mean laugh, just her thinking about it. She shakes her head, however.

"No..I use a code name because Carol Evans died on Troy with her parents."

She straightens upright and looks to Kotone, "It's power armor, basically...Not as high tech as Tony Stark's, but it does what it needs to and enhances my augmented abilities." She glances down at Enforcer, "So how's this work again? I have to give you permission to do it, and so does she, right?"

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
"I can help if you want." Fayt replies. "But wouldn't it be better for six if didn't? If you guys really want it though I can join in." He finds a place to leave the creat. "As for the experiment, I could probably copy. not sure about full on trasnfering."

Staren has posed:
Staren blinks and looks to Eureka. "If multiple Abstractum participate in a Genesis Drive, is the bonus resonance copied to all of them or shared between them?" He nods to Fayt. "Copying... perfect. How hard do you think it will be to do?"

Kotone Yamakawa has posed:
Kotone Yamakawa gromces a little bit at Noble SIx's response she looks to Fayt and Staren tilting her head a bit. She's not sure what to say to Noble Six about that is there anything she can say. Onwards to the experiancet.

"So I';m going to be enabling some science...this isn't going to have blow back on us is it?"

Staren has posed:
Staren blinks. "Oh... no, you're not enabling it, it's just... we were already planning that when you came to me, so... I figured we'd all participate, because I thought Genesis Drive generated extra resonance for everyone, and I'm curious to see what form your Abstractum takes. If limited resonance is divided between us instead... then I guess Enforcer and Noble Six will handle it alone."

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
"How hard?" Fayt shrugs. "I wouldn't really know how doable it is untill I do it. I do know I can't alter the basic functions of a protoabstrctum, but adding shouldn't be a problem."

Noble Six (38) has posed:
"I've only had this done when I aquired mine, so I don't /think/ there's anything that'll explode." Six replies to Kotone, "But it'll feel weird, that much is true.."

Abstractum.Net (347) has posed:
Eureka, Staren's gauntlet, gives a quick explanation. "Any Abstractum can participate, but the more of the Blue types we have present here that do, obviously, the fewer Abstractums we will have free to enhance any observations of the process. It is less a matter of who gets the resonance and more a matter of practicality."

Maugris speaks up from Fayt's hands, the gloves seeming as haughty as ever. "Nothing is going to explode, this process is not that volatile at all." It seems quite disapproving of that idea.

Enforcer speaks up. "Yeah, Noble Six is right here, easy peasy. I just need both of you to say explicitly that you're giving consent, and we can get going!" The little module seems to "stretch" and "limber up", shifting slightly in N6's hand.

Kotone Yamakawa has posed:
Kotone Yamakawa Says "All right then. I have n other issues. I was just asking. Given I didn't knot eveyrthing Is hould expect, right?"

Kotone stans there making her self as ready as she can be. She look to Staren, Fayt and then to Six as she takes a deep breath and waits.

Noble Six (38) has posed:
"Well I'll give permission for you to do it, Enforcer." Six says, as she feels the Abstractum starting to prep himself for the process in her hand, "Just tell me what I need to do with you, when you're ready to do it." She turns and looks towards Kotone, holding him out so Kotone can give her consent to the process too."

Staren has posed:
Staren blinks at Eureka. "Oh... there's still data we can gather from this? Well gather away, then! Would Sakura's cartridge help?" If so, he'll slot it in. He nods to the others for the go ahead... And once Twilight arrives, he'll smile and run up to hug her. "Twilight! You're just in time to witness the creation of an Abstractum, and after that we were going to try an experiment!"

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
Fayt calmly watches the others work. "Should be a pretty simple experiment. Just need the two things you want me to copy between and then... well hopefully nothing crazy happens." He forwns. "Metta would kill me."

Twilight Sparkle (411) has posed:
Twilight smiles as she walks in, then looks around in a bit of awe. It is an impressive facility, and taking in all the sights distracts her. "Hello Staren." she says, walking toward him in a roundabout way. She offers a friendly wave of a forehoof to the others present, then gives Staren a hug, then blinks. "Oh! A new Abstractum!" That brings her back from being distracted. "How exciting!" she says, clapping her forehooves together and smiling. "For who?" she asks, looking around.

Abstractum.Net (347) has posed:
"Permission's all I need, boss." Enforcer says, nodding firmly. "You just hold on. I'll handle the rest."

    "Powering Genesis Drive."

        THEME: http://tinyurl.com/ABSTRACTUM-PROCUREMENT

A vivid red light shines out of the armor-piece's eye as it shifts, slowly, into a monotone. "User explicit consent confirmed. Candidate User explicit consent confirmed. Drawing resonance." Loud whirring builds to a peak in the Abstractum; a burst of wind blasts out of the armor-piece that sends small shockwaves into the environment.

"ASSEMBLING CONCEPTS. AMPLIFYING PARADIGMS." It speaks in a harder monotone. "DETERMINING IMPRINT." Kotone is going to feel a sensation not entirely unlike being grasped, tightly, but instead of in physical space, it's in another spatial axis entirely. It lifts her, and then she's struck against reality, with the sensation of leaving an imprint in it, a mold of sorts.

When she's struck against reality, there's a bright red shockwave of light and another swirling rush of wind, likely to blow light debris around. "CONCEPT MOLD ESTABLISHED. ENGAGING FULL GENESIS." And, it would seem, this "imprint" gets filled in. Like certain actions before it, this "filling in" seems to be performed on another spatial dimension, looking the way a mold might look to a flatlander when filled.

What comes next is a... Cartridge? A strange, cylindrical cartridge of some sort, nothing but a port and a hemispherical crystal. It looks like it slots into one of the several universal prosthesis interface slots used by partial and full-body conversion prosthetic forms. Within the gem, a defined black pupil forms, surrounded by a pair of shadowy eyelids.

Both Abstractum speak in unison now. "NETWORK MESSAGE: A new Abstractum has been deployed. Thank you for assuming the duty of protection. When They return, together we'll end them." And, abruptly, everything settles down. The cartridge of sorts slowly drifts down from its floating position, easy for Kotone to catch. Enforcer seems more than a bit exhausted by this process, but not really harmed, more like heavily exercised! The new Abstractum, though, it still in the process of slowly waking up...

As for data, it looks like with all the gathered data so far, Staren now can get the basic foundation of an understanding of how the Abstractums attract limbs from Them into specific locations, like in Genesis. This data may be of dubious value, since that's generally harmful in any situation besides Genesis itself... But it could be useful to understand some of these mechanics. Data needs more processing, though.

Noble Six (38) has posed:
Once the process is done, Six holds Enforcer and then makes sure he's alright. She misses having the armor interface to interact with him, but this'll have to work, "You alright there, buddy?" She asks, checking on him, before looking to Kotone and her Abstractum.

Kotone Yamakawa has posed:
Kotone Yamakawa was not sure what to expect out of the process, but this was not it. She holds still, almost disturbingly so she's like a statue only breathicn gives any hint of movment. She feels strange like something's grasping her, but not in a physical sense it's an alienm thing but it's not horrible Then she feels like she's lifted up and strikes something. She's not sure what to think stil,. she hodls with it as she looks at the newly formed Abstractumn for a long moment. Her eyes dart over, wait it's some sort of part to interface into her proshetic body? That was unespected.

She pauses looking at the new abstractum for a moment and is curiously looking at it.

"It ... looks like it's a compent for my body...and Six how is your partner?"

Staren has posed:
Staren smiles back to Twilight, but before he can reply, IT BEGINS.

Staren narrates: "So what's happening is, Enforcer, that's Noble Six's Abstractum, is getting The attention of Them, so They extend a pseudopodof sorts at Kotone. They then grab Kotone and begin to pull her out of reality, but before she can be pulled completely away, Enforcer severs the pseudopod, slamming Kotone back into reality. This creates a conceptual impression or mold, so Enforcer grabs the piece of Them and sticks it in the mold, then restricts it with Dr. Burden's programming and imbues it with a soul."

Once the mysterious cartridge finishes forming, Staren says, "And there you have it! A new Abstractum is born!" he tilts his head. "A... cartridge? What are you going to do with-- oh, I get it. Plug-and-play Abstractum." He looks to Eureka. "What'd we get?" The reply seems to be over a channel only he hears. His eyes widen a bit. "Interesting... so there's more to it than just 'anything that reaches out of reality attracts Them'?"

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
Fayt tilts his head form side to side. "Hmm... Everyone ok? Looks like nothing unusual happened." He nods to Staren. "So... you know what you want me to work with?"

Twilight Sparkle (411) has posed:
Twilight's eyes widen as she listens. "So...they purposefully attract Them, the ones the Abstractums say are going to destroy the Multiverse, then the Abstractum is actually formed from a piece of Them?!" Twilight says in as soft a whisper as she can manage while exclaiming.

Twilight obviously isn't sure if they should treat attracting Them so lightly, but given that Staren and dozens, possibly hundreds, of others have obtained Abstractum without incident, she lets it go with a sigh. "What happens now?"

Abstractum.Net (347) has posed:
"Hi! Yep, that's what I am." The little cartridge pipes up eagerly. "Name's Overclock. I'm your new Abstractum and I'll be helping you build up a bit of improvement here! You just slot me in whenever you need." The eye and the overall posture of this seems lightly and politely energetic. "What's your name?"

Enforcer takes heavy threats with, you know, its lack of lungs. "Phewwww... Yeah! I'm fine, boss, just kinda takes a lot out of you to do that at my level. I'll be all good in a bit!"

Eureka explains briefly to Twilight. "Our opposition, They deeply desire ending. Their concept is based on destruction, including destruction of the self. So the Abstractum are born from Them, and the elements of their concept that are destructive towards them. Or at least, that's the building-block material we're formed out of to begin with."

Noble Six (38) has posed:
"Well we gotta do what we can to level you up, Enforcer." Six says, as she looks down at him in her hand, "Don't worry about getting back up too soon, we've gotta wait for the armor to get repaired anyway before we can get back out there."

Six glances up and then looks at Twilight, "Somehow I bet you'll understand this better than I will, but from what I've gathered, there's a big bad out there, and these guys are the only way we can beat them."

Kotone Yamakawa has posed:
Kotone Yamakawa says "Kotone, Kotone Yamakawa." 5R
she pauses for a moment looking at them. "WAit slot you in I se the adaptors... wouldn't it make more ... sense to just install you and leave it at that?"

she pauses at Eurka's comment she takes second to figure out what's going on. Fighting fire with fire it seems like it.

"Well overclock? That's an ... name just what /do you/ do? You mentioned improvements.

Staren has posed:
Staren nods, and Eureka explains. "Now... Kotone and Overclock get to know eachother. There's a machine around here somewhere Kotone can use to scan Overclock and learn more about it -- it may also already know of any special capabilities it has."

He looks to Fayt. "Also, now we attempt an experiment. To see if this works..." he pulls a small rocket, the size of a magic marker, from his pocket. It's covered with the telltale crystals of a protoabstractum, though. "I made a disposable protoabstractum to test with. This is the function of a plasma minimissiles and the form of one of my micromissiles. So when we set it off later, we'll also learn something about protoabstractum and miniaturization. Will it produce a plasma explosion with the same power as the larger missile, or will it be smaller? Also, since it makes an explosion of high-energy particles instead of concussive force alone, it /should/ be able to accept the function I put on all of my energy weapons to align with different elements."

He draws his laser pistol, flipping it to hold by the barrel and holding both items out to Fayt. "The donor item will be my laser pistol. I also have a couple of Eureka's cartridges, if you think they might help."

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
Fayt nods, as he takes both items. "Ok, copy the alignment ability from the gun to the rocket, and yeah, I'll take a cartidge, thanks.

That said, Fayt would slot 2 cartdiges if he can, one of Staren's to see if it'll help, and his cartridge from Ainsly since he know that'll give him a better look at what he's about to do. "Alright, everyone might want to stand back..."

Holding one item in each hand, Fayt starts to focus. his goal? Take the energy alignment function from the gun and COPY it to the small rocket. Hopefully this works, if not? Well...

People who know Fayt well enough would recognise what happens next. There's a strange buzzing noise, as weird, multicolored electricty starts to dance around Fayt's head, slowly growing more violent as Fayt works.

Twilight Sparkle (411) has posed:
Twilight nods lightly to Eureka, then to Noble Six. "I...suppose that makes sense. But, if their concept is destruction, wouldn't every aspect of it be destruction in some form or another?" she asks, her curiousity kicking in.

As Fayt and Staren get to work, Twilight steps back as requested, watching in anticipation for whatever might happen. She has no idea what will happen, since her experience with Abstractum has been fairly limited so far, but still, she wants to see it.

Kotone Yamakawa has posed:
Kotone Yamakawa is just looking at STaren for a moment she's not quite sure what he's talking about, however she gets enough and she's also kinda creeped out by it too. She ust holds the new being in her hands looking it over trying to make sense of it on her own.

"So...want to go for a test run Overclock?"

Abstractum.Net (347) has posed:
"If that's what you'd like, sure!" A happy look from the eye. "I just didn't wanna be making the choices for you, you know?" There's a few upbeat mechanical clicks from the little thing, though. "Put me in and I'll upgrade you! I help enhance and amplify the effects of the systems you got now, and I can run temporary emulations of new ones. I can help you do all /kinds/ of stuff to improve yourself, great stuff!"

Abstractum.Net (347) has posed:
The strange buzzing and suchlike are eased by Maugris, less by its drawing off the spellsurge and more by its lightening the cost in the first place. The softly glowing gloves have the two cartridges installed, the first of which lets Fayt do this with some precision and the second of which seems to allow him to Rotate his enchanting! Specifically, his enchanting here can be rotated into a variety of technology-based versions of enchantment; at his will, the gloves will wind up "unfolding" into a mechanical menagerie that actively makes electrical modifications and material exchanges rather than performing exactly the same effect with magic. Maybe useful in certain circumstances? Less so here.

In any case, Maugris does a bit of straining to forcibly extract the function from the gun and inject it into the ammunition. You can hear the normally-haughty gloves grunting with effort, but as it goes through, the ammo is changed! It's not entirely clear how, but certainly it's possible now to change its elemental payload, as evidenced by the soft colored glow.

Abstractum.Net (347) has posed:
"Yeah, I'll probably just take a bit." Enforcer says, with a bit of exhaustion. It seems to take on a relaxed posture, sighing with contentedness.

Kotone Yamakawa has posed:
Kotone Yamakawa nods to Overclock evne if they don't really have a face to nod to.

"Might as well I'll let you pick something."

She takes a moment to pull back her hair where the group of four jacks in the back of her neck are located and then with a deep breath she plugs in Overclock to see what happens.

Fayt Ravus (319) has posed:
Fayt, out of curosity, makes Maugris unfold for a moment. "Huh... apparnetly, that's what that cartridge does." He quickly folds it back however, he doesn't need that right now.

with the work done, Fayt hands the items back to Staren, wobbling slightly. "Ok, I did... something. That one was kinda costly though. excuse me I need to go... sit down for a bit while the surge drains off." That said, Fayt would carefully stumble his way back over to the crate he brought in and sit down next to it, lening on the crate while he waits for everything ot settle down again.

Staren has posed:
Staren watches with interest. When he sees the Eurecartridge's effect, he comments: "Oooh... just like when we plug the DCM into the Alchemiter!" Noone here likely understands what he's talking about. Then he watches the copy operation. There were no explosions or catastrophic feedbacks! Everything seems to have happened as expected! Staren confirms wirelessly that the items have the expected functionality. "There's potential here..." for now, he puts them away again. "Thank you, Fayt. When you have time, now that we've done a test run and confirmed it works, there is a particular transfer I wanted done. When you're feeling better, of course." He pats Fayt's shoulder. Then he walks over to the cartridge machine, plugging Eureka in and ordering 2 more Tier I cartridges. He looks back at Kotone. "There's a machine here for scanning your Abstractum and telling you more about it -- that might prove helpful. I for one am curious which Drivers are involved in enhancing systems and emulating new ones, if you don't mind asking it."

Staren looks down at his gauntlet. "We learned some stuff today, Eureka. Isn't it good to be doing that again? Seems like it's been ages."

Abstractum.Net (347) has posed:
Overlclock slots in easily. "Probably not right now," It says, a little sheepishly. "Gotta get used to your systems juuuust a bit, and then I also kinda heat up a bit when I'm doing my thing, but I'll definitely show of what I can do for you soon!"

Additionally, it softly and respectfully offers some system interface so Kotone can access it, and offers to link her to the Users Network.

Kotone Yamakawa has posed:
Kotone Yamakawa sees that it's able to slot into her all right and she tlts her head a little bit.

"Fair enough you were just brought on line, were you not? Then let's go check out that machine Staren suggested ither way happy birthday, Overclock."

T Kotone also does link to the group as well it has been quite the night... she thinks.

Staren has posed:
Staren retrieves his new cartridges and pockets them for now, curiously following Kotone to the scanner.

Abstractum.Net (347) has posed:
"It's always good to get more knowledge." Eureka agrees eagerly. "I enjoy it very much. This seems like a productive sort of day to me."

Overclock seems fine with this, for its own part of things. "Thanks, Kotone! Been a good birthday so far, that's for sure." And then, scans!
