Kanmusu Hinamatsuri!
Date of Scene: 03 March 2016
Location: Hikari Sea Port
Synopsis: It's time for the Hinamatsuri!
Cast of Characters: Kotone Yamakawa, Rebecca Chambers, 385, 481, 637, Nagato, Shigure, Gaonoir, Haguro, 939

Nagato has posed:
It's the early afternoon on Hikari Seaport, the entire port is decorated with various festivities for the Hinamatsuri with a very large stage set up, a five tier stage for something important, "Looks like we can get the festivities to start, I'm sure this will improve morale along the base." There are various tables set up on the air strip, some with sake, some with soup, some with crackers and some with hishimochi on them.

Meanwhile, back in the Admiral's office, Nagato grunts slightly as the heavy, ceremonial outfit is being put on. "And this should also provide us with good spirits for the fifth." she nods, taking a look at an already dressed Mutsu, Yamato and Musashi. Atago, Furutaka and Kako are assisting in setting up the Admiral for her place.

Back at the airstrip, it's packed full of girls, notably... the Sendai sisters are missing, along with Akagi and Kaga and the five submarines....

Kotone Yamakawa has posed:
After the night before, Kotone needed to get away, she needed anything to get her mind off the horrors below the ocean on William's world. She had to get way and she also wanted to catch up with the fleet as well. She wanted to be in good spirits and she's a bit late in arriving after the first wave of girls. The Cyborg was not entirely down though given what they stopped as she strod in looking casual for her own world there a bit out of place, she'd also brought food with her as there was a delivery container and a fairly large one under one arm.

Gaonoir has posed:
Food! That is about the only thing Gaonoir is interested in at the moment. He's still recovering energy from that last mission into the middle of oceanic nightmares.

Which would also be why, instead of usual visored jetwolf seen around the seaport, it's just a semi cartoon-animal looking black Akita Inu helping himself to some of the munchies. 'Cartoon animal' basically covers that he walks on his back paws, and is wearing a pair of kickboxing gloves to go with his head bandana. Other than that the BlackGaomon really looks more dog than anthro. Best way to conserve the energy he's building back up until the Abyssal assault mission.

But none of that matters right now because, I reitterate, FOOD. A hungry digimon could probably give a Saiyan a run for their money in an eating compatition.

Yuna Kagurazaka (385) has posed:
While she could *probably* have gotten away with wearing one of her regular uniforms for the Hikari Port Hinamatsuri, when Yuna arrives at Hikari, she's actually dressed in her Light Suit, and has a slightly uncertain look on her face. "I know this is easier than trying to cover major distances like I was dressed," she asides to Elner, "but ..."

"If you were worried about looking flashy," the robo-faerie states, "you should probably have kept it packed up. Anyway, you're here now, and since your Light Suit is going to draw even more attention -"

"W-wait!" squeaks Yuna .... but too late; Elner's already reverting her transformation - and Yuna's 'civilian' attire from pre-transformation appears in the battlesuit's place: not a uniform, not a yukata, but a full-fledged formal kimono - and apparently a brand-new one, to those who would know what to look for. The outermost robe is mostly white and blue in color, matching the main colors of her Light Suit; there are 'highlights' in gold at a few spots, particularly patterns on her sleeves and back, while the sash around her waist is a more elaborate pattern of white, blue, gold, green, orange, and purple ... not just the main Light Suit's colors, but the additional hues of her variant armors (Powered, Marine, and Flight Forms, respectively).

Yuna just lets out a breath, gives Elner a sidelong look, and makes her way further into the port. It sounds like the airstrip is the center of the celebration, so that's where she's heading.

Rebecca Chambers has posed:
Rebecca has had an interest in joining the fleet for awhile, and has thought about checking things out. And what better way to do this than by joining in the festivities here. She arrives dressed in a simple green kimono, oddly enough. She has never worn one before, so there's a first time for everything. Wearing it isn't easy, as she's having trouble adjusting to wearing geta and tabi on her feet. She stumbles a little as she arrives, blushing and smiling nervously. "Sorry, this is a bit of a new thing for me!"

Kirika (481) has posed:
Kirika hasn't had much chance to really do much with fellow Unionites and such, so the chance to do so with this festival was enough reason for the kitsune to attend. She's dressed well for the occasion, with her red and white kimono giving her an elegant air as she arrives. Carrying a couple jugs of sake, the kitsune sets them down with the rest of the food before she nabs a bowl of noodles.

Omf nomf nomf. Delicious noodles. This has KIrika's tail wagging with joy as she looks around curiously.

She smiles brightly seeing Yuna arrive, and she saunters over to the Galactic Fraulien with a sway in her tail. "Yuna-chan! It's so good to see you again!" She says, holding her noodles with her tail as she carefully gives Yuna a hug. "You look well, by the way. The kimono suits you!" She hides a snicker when she sees Rebecca stumble, and walks over to assist.

Straightening out Rebecca's posture, Kirika tries to maintain an understanding mood. "You need to remain stable. Watch what I do, Rebecca-san." She says, before gently moving with deft and careful motions, making sure Rebecca can see what she's doing with her feet.

Haguro has posed:
Haguro's hard at work today scurrying about the Seaport, clipboard in one hand and pens in the other. There's no pockets on her kimono to shove them in, after all, but that alone won't stop the Cruiser from taking inventory and making sure everything's stocked up properly. Somehow, she's avoided barrelling straight into anyone with how quickly she's moving about, although all the running does appear to be tuckering her out already.

She'll learn how to take a break soon enough.

Gaonoir has posed:
Gaonoir watchs the girls and the fox go over proper kimono ettiquete for a moment, then snorts something under his breath about humans and their clothing that isn't just additional renders on their body code and goes back to munching on noodles. Though that's pretty impressive that he's actually using chopsticks -with- those gloves on.

Shigure has posed:
Kuma was here the entire time... really. She's wearing a nice casual yukata, since she doesn't have a formal kimono, though she does wear it well. Her hair, save for the ahoge, is done up pleasantly in a sort of 'layered plait' which hangs down her back. Shigure, Nowaki, Chitose and Yamashiro are also equally decked out in their finest... with Yamashiro and Shigure sporting full, traditional and elegant Kimono each. Shigure's depicting rain motifs, while Yamashiro's tells a story about the Mountain Castle after which she is named. Nowaki has a plain black kimono done up in Komon style, a slightly more casual style, while Chitose's is nicely patterned with cloud motifs, light blues and white mixing pleasantly.

The Fifth Fleet is mostly dispersed throughout the event, the Battleship and Destroyer pair sticking together for the most part, and watching from afar, as is their wont.

Kotone Yamakawa has posed:
Kotone Yamakawa was happy to deliver some food and she notices Gaonir was also joining the party along with Yuna.

"Gaonir, Yuna."
% She didn't quite catch sight of Kirika yet and she calls out.

"I brought some food where should I put it?" Hopefully someone will know where she should take it.

Shge pauses as she pots Kuma nd waves to her and also Haguro.

"Hey!!!"

Nagato has posed:
Out from the barracks comes a small procession, Atago's guns go off in an attention getter as she leads the procession of fourteen women. Up first is Akagi munching on a hishimochi and Kaga, then Iku, Goya, Hachi, Shioi and Imuya, soon after there's Sendai, Naka and Jintsuu, finally... Mutsu and Nagato lead up with Yamato and Musashi in the rear. All fourteen of them are dressed in ceremonial garb for their respective place on the large stand at the end of the runway.

It's here, Atago smiles, "Good day, everyone!" she shouts out as the procession head towards the stands, Mutsu and Nagato heading up, then the Sendai sisters, the Submarines and then Akagi and Kaga. To the side of the stands sit Musashi and Yamato. "Thank you all for coming out to the Hinamatsuri festival, we hope you have a wonderful time here and enjoy the festivities."

Nagato turns to Mutsu before turning back to the crowd and in a loud voice, Nagato starts. "Welcome friends, allies and fleet." she pauses, "We welcome you here today to share in the Hinamatsuri festival the fleet does yearly. It is my hope that you will enjoy the festival."

Gaonoir has posed:
Gaonoir actually jumps a little when he hears his name, and fumbles with the half empty noodle bowl. Thankfully catching it before the deliciousness is spilt and wasted. Whew. Still not use to hearing people use his actual name instead of just calling him 'Beast of Shadows' or 'Dark Boxer' (or Shadowmutt if you're Beelzebumon).

But he totally acts like nothing had happened, even as he motions at the tables before resuming munching on noodles. "With the rest of the food, I imagine."

Ooh, some sort of ceremony starting now. Huh. Food -and- a show, nice.

Rebecca Chambers has posed:
Kirika is quite helpful to Rebecca, who watches the way Kirika moves her feet, and Rebecca copies it as well. "I... I guess I see what to do..." She seems a bit uneasy, but when Nagato and the others come out, Rebecca smiles. "Good day, Admiral," She says, saluting. "I'm so happy to be here, even if I don't look it." She looks down at her feet, wondering why she never practiced before today. "Thank you for hosting this event!"

Yuna Kagurazaka (385) has posed:
Yuna is just a little belated in waving to Kotone, but she also nods/bows to the others she recognizes, including Rebecca as well as the assorted members of the Fifth Fleet, and returning Kirika's hug. "Thank you!" she replies with a moderate blush. "It was a gift from a friend of mine - my predecessor, you could say. She's been tutoring me, and she said I'd finally earned the right to wear something like this .."

She trails off (partly because Kirika has to go help Rebecca - which she totally understands), and partly because she hears the cannonfire salute. She quickens her pace, managing to reach the airstrip just as the procession is emerging from the barracks; she wobbles a little as she's coming to a halt, but retains her balance, smiling as she sees the senior kanmusu taking up their positions on the stage. "They look so gorgeous up there," she murmurs, fishing inside her kimono for her phone. "I wonder if it's okay to take pictures of them up there ..."

Haguro has posed:
Haguro seems relieved when she spots a few familiar faces, waving at Yuna and Kotone in particular before finally coming to a stop. She jots down several notes while listening to Atago calling out to the gestival goers, then Nagato's greeting before raising her hand in a light wave. Afterwards, she turns her attention back to Kotone, glancing at the bags of food before turning to her notes.

"Hello, Miss... Yamakawa? There's a table not far from here that's running a little low. If you'd rather relax, though, I could take it over." She offers with a polite smile. Even if she's dressed up, she's still ready to work!

Kirika (481) has posed:
Kirika smiles as Rebecca gets more used to how it feels wearing a kimono, before she nods to Yuna. "I am sure she is proud of you and what you have done." She says warmly. She jumps a little hearing cannon fire, her sensitive ears twitching as she tries to ignore the ringing she hears, then she nods. "The Fleet is matched in elegance by their might, indeed."

The kitsune bows her head to Nagato, reverent and quiet as the admiral speaks.

Kotone Yamakawa has posed:
Kotone Yamakawa smiles at the welcome that she gets from Nagao and the rest and she seems to be rapidly getting into better spirits. Look over to Yuna and she smiles a bit.

"I'm just happy to be somehwher that ntohing is going wrong today and yes that's right Haguro, you got my name right, naw I can handle it I hope you like smoked maple glazed pacific salmon."

There's quite a wide grin on her face. "I don't physically tire as you might expect."

She's is clearly starting to be in better spirits than she was before she arrived.

Nagato has posed:
Atago moves over towards the small group of Elites, a smile upon her face. She's decked out in her rigging today, mainly to allow for the attention grabbing procession. "Hello~ How are you all doing? Enjoying things so far? We do have hishimochi over there along with shirozake as well! And if you like it, we have some aburrage and some chirashizushi too!" she looks between all the ones gathered, "And pictures are okay, I'm sure the Admiral will like it!"

Gaonoir has posed:
Gaonoir discards the empty noodle bowl. "Names, names, it's all food to me." More or less. This whole social thing was still a newer experience, but he's being distracted by the necessity of rebuilding his energy via eating. Don't ask how an entity of living datacode somehow made biological can digest anything, it's just safer to accept it as is and move along. You'll only work your brain into knots.

"Nice outfits though." Not that he has much to compare to. Oh hey, that hishimochi looks tasty -and- colorful.

Haguro has posed:
"That sounds lovely! I'll be looking forward to trying that soon." Chuckling lightly, Haguro makes a few more marks on her notepad before offering Kotone a light bow. The cannons to startle the Heavy Cruiser quite a bit, though, flinching briefly with each shot. Thankfully, the presence of so much good food does distract her sufficiently, and it doesn't take long for Haguro to finally seek out some food for herself! Takoyaki's never failed her before.

Yuna Kagurazaka (385) has posed:
Fortunately, Xiaomu isn't here today, or they'd probably be all out of abura-age as soon as Atago could mention it.

Yuna, however, merely blushes a little as she bows to Kirika, "She's said as much on a couple of occasions, but Ryudia is a pretty stern teacher - and even if she approves of my progress, I feel like I still have a long way to go." Then Atago approaches to greet them, and Yuna smiles and bows (even more formally) to the heavy cruiser. "The Fleet's hospitality is deeply appreciated, as always," she says. "I'll be happy to partake of what's available, but before that ..."

She makes her way towards the stage, bringing her phone up and switching over to camera mode, then snapping a few photos, working her way around to get a few different angles. She's also aware that she needs to go around and get some names; she's met Kotone before, as well as Kirika and Rebecca (of course), but while she's fought beside Gaonoir, she doesn't know the Digimon's name yet. That's an oversight which she needs to correct. Maybe she can intercept him at one of the food tables ...

Shigure has posed:
Nowaki approaches Gaonoir, bowing formally to him before speaking. "I would like to thank you. For everything you have done for the Fleet so far." she says, her voice low, soft yet somehow firm. "It is due to people like you, that we have survived this long in the Multiverse."

Rebecca Chambers has posed:
Smiling, Rebecca looks to Atago and nods. "Thank you, I'm glad to be here. I'll have to try those dishes, I'm not big on the names. But I'm always willing to try anything at least once!" She smiles to Yuna as she goes to take pictures. "I should've brought my digital camera today, but I forgot!"

Gaonoir has posed:
Gaonoir actually has more trouble with the hishimochi than he did the noodles. Or more accurately, more trouble with the wrapper, since his gloves don't have individual fingers. He grabs one end in his teeth and tries to tear it open that way. Just don't tell him the effort is kind of cute and adorkable, he's still a little touchy about the whole 'cute' concept humanoids have.

He gives a few more gnaws, then lets go when Nowaki speaks up. Rolls his little shoulders in a shrug. "Just doing what needed doing." He turns the hishimochi package over to squint at the other end. Is there some trick to this wrapper?? "I was made to be a defender after all."

Or at least that's what he's been telling himself lately.

Kirika (481) has posed:
Kirika admittedly bowed to Nagato, but oh well. She nods to Atago with a smile. "Ah, hello there! I am doing well, I thank you for the food!" She chimes sweetly, watching Yuna take pictures as she goes over to nab something to nibble on.

Nagato has posed:
Nagato looks down from her seat up on high, scanning the area. Though when Nowaki speaks to a strange little blue dog-person thing, Nagato's head tilts.. Gaonoir? Wait, that's Gaonoir?! It's taking a lot of effort to not burst from her seat to go down and hug him to death. The pictures are being taken and Nagato quickly regains composure and gives a nod, thinking a moment... it's almost as if she had an announcement. For now, she's content to let everyone enjoy the get together.

Shigure has posed:
Nowaki points at the wrapper, and tilts her head. "I can show you how it works, if you like." she offers, though doesn't press, nor does she say how cute she found the attempt.

Gaonoir has posed:
Gaonoir is about to take another bite at the end of the wrapper when Nowakia offers.... and after a moment hands it over. "Yeah, go ahead."

Shigure has posed:
Nowaki bows politely, then hooks a finger under the bottom seal, then pinches the upper half, before tugging firmly. The end seal pops open, and then the destroyer offers the treat back to the digimon. "If you go for another, bite the upper half, and tug the bottom seal. This should pop it open with little difficulty." she offers, and then, something so rare it might be worth a picture.

    Nowaki smiles.

Kotone Yamakawa has posed:
Kotone Yamakawa is quite happy to join the party she'll also be getting some images with her phone. Once she's dropped off the food she's quite please Haguro wants to give what she brought a try and it won't take long for her to rejoin everyone and she pauses to Gaonoir. "You are and we were lucky to have you along last night Gaonoir. I'm not sure we'd have all got out if not for yout backup. SO I owt you one."

Gaonoir has posed:
Gaonoir watchs Nowaki work the wrapper. "And before you ask, no, I can't take the gloves off." He wobbles on clad paw back and forth. "My claws are dangerously sharp to be around others with." Okay, bite one half and pull the other, that he can manage. "Thanks."

Of course he immeadiately takes a bite out of the exposed snack finally. "Oh that iff good." Anoter bite quickly follows it... and probably the only reason he's not just stuffing it in his mouth in one go is because he's trying to not be impolite.

That and a mouthful would be hard to talk with. "That thing was a freak against pretty much anything natural or technical. Don't think any one person could of handled it alone."

Shigure has posed:
"That is another thing I wished to thank you for." Nowaki says, after Gaonoir mentions that /thing/. "You rescued our flagship." She doesn't mean Nagato.

Gaonoir has posed:
Gaonoir stops in midst of tossing the last piece of hishimochi in his mouth to peer at Nowaki. He's a little confused, his first assumption at 'Flagship' would be Nagato but he gets the impression that's not what she's talking about. "... Which flagship? I'm still adjusting to this deal with girls being battleships and ship spirits and such." That's a safe way to ask for better clarification.

Shigure has posed:
"Fifth Fleet Flagship Kuma, kuma!" comes a gravelly voice from the opposite side of Gaonoir, happy and chirpy as the cruiser walks up. "I want to thank you for pulling me out of the husk of that thing, kuma~."

Nowaki bows and steps back a little, politely exiting conversation... she's mildly surprised she's not being swept away by Maikaze yet, the other destroyer is probably busy dancing in another part of the festival.

Graf Zeppelin (939) has posed:
     Make no mistake.

     Graf Zeppelin is here.

No, she's not here, in the light, with everyone else.

Instead, she is brooding off by herself, some distance away. Dressed in her usual military uniform, she keeps a stoic gaze on the proceedings. "...Another strange thing is happening." She muttered, absolutely refusing to actually join the festivities proper.

Kongou (637) has posed:
    SOMEONE ISN'T HERE.

Actually, several someones have missed part of the Hinamatsuri party, though something has been approaching from out to sea for the past hour or more. Given the lack of alarm from the ships still on watch, it's clearly friendly, an approaching warship with a distinctive flat top and a complete lack of topside superstructure. From the starboard side mast, as the vessel draws closer, is clearly the flag of Hikari Seaport, and the characters near the bow spell out 'Lucky Phoenix'. On the deck, a group of figures milling about. The taller of them raises both arms and waves, using her billowing white sleeves like semaphore flags.

A fairy, it doesn't really matter which one, stands to and whips out tiny flags of her own, rapid-firing a response to the girl on the carrier. Considering, she turns and signals towards the base's main tower.

In said tower, another fairy signals back, then turns and salutes the shipgirl on duty.

BACK AT THE PARTY
Amidships of the carrier, a plane rides up on an elevator, sporting green tail markings. As it accellerates and takes off, another rises up-- until a squadron of four have taken off, circling overhead in pairs.

Once they've coordinated, the four Reisen fighters break off in opposite directions, trailing smoke from their wingtips and pulling into tight, intersecting loops. It takes a few moments before the four aircraft have drawn a flower in the sky, with one keeping her smoke on through a dive to create the stem before they all break away and reform.

    Zuihou's Hinamatsuri Airshow!

Gaonoir has posed:
"Oh... oh, right!" Gaonoir ahahahas softly, rubbing the back of his head with one gloved paw. "Sorry, yeah, terminology and all that. You're welcome, but it's not a big deal." Flicks the last piece of his snack in his mouth. "You took a big risk to help put that thing down, it would of been a shame to leave you to go under with it. Sure any of your 'sisters' would of done the same if they'd been able to get to you."

And then planes pass overhead. Oooh, now that has his attention almost as much as the food does. It's probably a good thing he's low on energy, or he'd evolve just to fly up for a closer look at their maneuvers.

Yuna Kagurazaka (385) has posed:
Once she's finished taking photos, Yuna carefully puts her phone away inside her kimono, wedging it in a certain way so that it won't slip out, horizontally or vertically ... and then she makes her way back towards the food tables, right as the airshow is starting.

Unfortunately, she can't watch the airshow AND get food together at the same time, so Yuna resigns herself to the odds that she's going to miss something as she looks back and forth between the sky and where she's going. Fortunately, she looks down at the right time to avoid literally tripping over the Digimon. "Ah, excuse me!" she apologizes pre-emptively, bowing to Gaonoir, then looking again. "Ah ... we were together on that investigation just the other day, weren't we? I didn't catch your name, though; I'm Yuna Kagurazaka." She smiles, bending down (if necessary) and offering a hand.

Rebecca Chambers has posed:
Rebecca can wait for the food. She's watching the air show instead. "I bet Chris would love to be seeing this!" She says with a grin to nobody in particular. "This is so wonderful! I'm glad I came!"

Kirika (481) has posed:
Kirika blinks. She sees something out in the distance, but it takes a while for her to figure out what it is. By then, there's several fighter craft of some manner trailing smoke. "Oh dear, those flying machines appear damaged..." She muses, pointing out to them with alarm before they begin making unusual flying patterns.

Oh. OH. Now she gets it. She claps with surprised joy at the airshow when they form a flower, applauding their deft flying technique!

Nagato has posed:
Nagato shakes her head, the airshow. Well, Zuihou's doing a wonderful job at it and it's giving the guests much needed entertainment, she'll have to thank Zuihou later for that. Meanwhile Atago's wandering around, giving an idle wave towards Graf Zeppelin and Kuma, and otherwise making everything doubly sure that things were okay.

Gaonoir has posed:
Gaonoir is so busy watching the airshow display he doesn't even notice Yuna stumble by until she speaks up. "Huh?.. Oh." He steps to the side so she can get to the table proper. "Gaonoir." He picks up a cup of sake, and then Yuna's holding out her hand. What weird human gesture is this? After a moment he hands her the cup he'd picked up. "Here you go. Enjoy the show." Guess he thought she was trying to reach for something without looking away from the airshow.

Sorry, he still hasn't had a lot of human interaction outside of missions yet.

Yuna Kagurazaka (385) has posed:
... well, that's a better reaction than if he had thought she were trying to get him to 'shake' like the old trick for dogs. That could have been insulting. Yuna accepts the sake with a sheepish smile. "Sorry, shaking hands is a human gesture for exchanging introductions or greetings ... it's not something all humans do, admittedly. Anyway, it was good to work with you on that mission - and I think we might have worked together before that?"

She moves on to the snack table, setting her sake cup down so she can get some food together. She might forget to take her sake with her, though ...

(Not that she minds leaving it; alcohol hits her pretty hard, so she doesn't drink.)

Gaonoir has posed:
Gaonoir doesn't really notice, because he's already picked up another cup for himself. "Yeah. Humans are still kind of a new thing." Shrugs his small shoulders and gulps down the sake while watching the end of the airshow.

Kirika (481) has posed:
"It's always a lot to take in all at once with new peoples." Kirika agrees, approaching Yuna and Gaonoir. She eyes the Digi-doge curiously, head titled quizzically as she regards Yuna. "Someone you know, Yuna-chan?" Regardless, she smiles and bows her head towards Gaonoir. "Hello. I am Kirika."

Kongou (637) has posed:
As the flower dissipates, being just smoke, two of the Zero fighters break off again and come close together, then split apart, letting out smoke again. They mirror the motions of the other, twisting, flying parallel, breaking apart to draw out two lobes-- Before long, it becomes clear the two Zero fighters have sketched out the outline of an airplane, parting ways at the end to create the propeller at the end.

The other two take a different route, one flying a tight arc and then a long, straight path before angling back up, while the other simply draws a straight line-- the obvious silhouette of a carrier.

it's entirely possible zuihou isn't very creative with sky-art.

Haguro has posed:
Watching those planes soar overhead, it appears that Haguro's finally started to relax! She's eating, she's not running around like a crazy person, and... Well, she's still taking notes about the tables around her, but at least she's staying in place for it. "Oh, that's nice..." She muses to herself with an amused giggle, even clapping a bit while looking straight at that straight line carrier.

Zuihou's got some support on the ground, at least.

Gaonoir has posed:
Gaonoir huhs. To be fair, not a lot of people would think of skylining a plane landing on a carrier, simple or not.

Then he glances in the direction of the newest addition to the conversation, and huhs. "Yeah. And if I didn't know better I'd think you're some new version of a Renamon." Because foxes.

Kirika (481) has posed:
"Kitusne, actually." Kirika smiles. "I hail from Kasun, and hunt monsters, more or less. That and handle affairs dealing with both humans and yokai as a peacekeeper, a knight errant as some would call what I do."

Gaonoir has posed:
Gaonoir smirks a little from one corner of his mouth. "Like I said, you could easily be mistaken for a Renamon."

Nagato has posed:
Nagato looks at the crowd, a light smile crossing her face as she turns towards Mutsu, "Shall we get the dolls floating? Best to have the bad luck go away now for Saturday." Mutsu gives a bright smile and a nod, signaling to Atago, who starts to pipe up.

"Alright everyone, it's now time for the customary send off for bad luck." she gives a brief smile, moving to hand small floating-capable dolls to everyone present. "Just place all your worries in these and send them down the ocean to where they will carry off all the bad spirits and bad luck. And wish us luck for Saturday when we start our operation!"

Gaonoir has posed:
Gaonoir eyes the little doll thing for a moment. He's not entirely sure how this is going to help, but apparently it's part of the celebration. Well he'd be a terrible guest if he didn't at least participate in the tradition. Especially after all the appreciation he's being given for helping the Fleet out, even before Nagato signed him on 'officially'.

After a moment he turns the doll over again. "Okay, so if I'm suppose to put something into it, where's the interface port?"

Kirika (481) has posed:
Kirika ilts her head at the doll, before she smiles to Atago. "Do we place a little note or...?"

Yuna Kagurazaka (385) has posed:
Yuna accepts one of the dolls, holding it close to her chest as she closes her eyes and concentrates.

It takes a little bit; Yuna seems pretty relaxed and happy-go-lucky much of the time, but she's WELL-stocked with worries.

Haguro has posed:
Taking the doll, Haguro kneels by the water with her doll in one hand and what looks like several sheets of paper from her clipboard in the other. She doesn't look quite sure how to actually get them all inside the doll, but where there's a will, there's a way! She just has to hope the doll can still float with all that paper in there. Turning to Gaonoir, she holds out her paper-jammed doll to demonstrate.

"Oh? You write on some paper, then you..." She turns the doll around a few times to show how she's literally just jammed paper into wherever it could fit, then sets it in the water. "... Set it off like that. It's... Freeing."

Kirika (481) has posed:
"Oh." Kirika nods, before she takes out a pen and scribbles in some stuff. The worries are mostly plague related, not to mention the Elites she's lost contact with. Hopefully they're doing well, and hopefully she'll have a chance to do something about her home world sooner or later, other than just smacking symptoms.

Rebecca Chambers has posed:
Rebecca takes one of the dolls and looks at it. "Um... What do I put in this exactly?" She bites her lower lip, feeling a bit on the uneasy side as she realizes she's not exactly on par with these customs. She simply tries to focus on it. When it's mentioned you write on some paper, Rebecca takes out a piece of paper from her miniature notebook that she somehow brought with her, and scribbles a few things on it, before putting it in the doll. After that, she sets the doll in the water and salutes it as it goes off. "Farewell, doll which is making a valiant sacrifice!"

Gaonoir has posed:
Gaonoir just kind of stares at Kirika until she actually holds out hers to demonstrate. "Paper..." It sounds almost alien coming from him. ".. Uh, okay..." Notes, he needs something to... "May I?" Not that he really waits for an answer before snatching a couple of notes from Haguro's clipboard, and one of the pens. But at least he asked instead of just took, right?

Squatting down at the ground Gaonoir sets the doll aside for a moment, spreads out the papers, and scribbles on them in something that looks more like a bunch of symbols rather than words and letters. Is that some kind of digimon language? It does look more like fancy versions of a lot of symbols and signs you'd seen in complex code strings...

Once the notes are stuffed in the doll Gaonoir gets back up, and hands the pen back to Haguro. "Thanks." Then goes to squat down at the edge of the water and set the little floating effigy free. "Take that bad luck far far away from here."

Yuna Kagurazaka (385) has posed:
Oh. They're supposed to write their worries down?

Yuna wilts a bit, but takes a pen and a piece of paper, scribbling down a note or two with the biggest worries she's got, then folds the paper up and slips it into the doll's clothes. *Then* she moves to wherever people are putting their dolls in the river, waits her turn, and - after one more quick 'prayer' - follows suit.

Haguro has posed:
Luckily for Haguro, those notes were obsolete notes, and she's not about to raise a fuss over a little thing like that. Instead, she just watches Gaonoir's writing with quiet amusement, nodding her head lightly once he returns the pen. "You're welcome. Yes, I hope things go well soon..." She watches the dolls floating by quietly, eventually turning back to Gaonoir with a curious expression. "Have you met our Admiral yet? I think you two would get along quite well~"

She sounds a little too certain about that. Pleased, but surely she's not plotting anything.

Gaonoir has posed:
Gaonoir dusts his gloved hands off together, just as one last act of finality. Then smirks a bit again at Haguro. "We met beating the bits out of each other in the last WMAT. That's why she recruited me to help the Fleet out."
