Cast of Characters: 524, 594

Fang (594) has posed:
Eventually Fang has found himself in the forest and eventually decides instead of nibbling on the bread given to him by the elves, he would put his hunting knowledge to work! After all, he has the armor now. He has a sword. Time to hunt!

This leads to sad case where the young man leaps from a tree to stab a deer-- to only have the deer run, while he lands face-first into the ground. Fang's hand twitches then, before he pushes himself up, growls and then goes chasing after the animal. "COME HERE!" He roars out as he gives chase.

Eventually the deer pulls a hard turn and Fang, well, Fang goes right over the ledge, flails in the air, before falling down the hillside and come rolling down the rest of the way, before landing up against a tree with a hard 'Ouf!'.

Slowly the white haired man gets back up on his feet and goes to pop his back. Gritting his teeth as he does so. "..this was.. so much easier when I could actually fly.. and had claws.." Grumble, grumble.

General Zod (524) has posed:
A drop-ship looking thing, glossy black and beetle-like, is landed in a clearing nearby, with a squad of five people in black caped armor and anonymous black helmets checking various plants. They seem to be gathering samples and studying the local ecology. One of them is dissecting the carcass of a large predatory animal, dictating notes about its biology to /something/ resembling a floating egg with some kind of weird liquid metal display that's showing sensor scans of /something/ (likely the dead animal).

Fang (594) has posed:
Fang notices in the distance something coming down and narrows his vibrant blue eyes as his brows furrow. "...huh?" Twirling the sword in his hand, he then starts to make his way toward the clearing. Moving some of the plant life aside as he does.

He then looks out upon the strange-- thing-- and the people moving around collecting samples and data. His brows furrow further as he watches the alien activity. Fang then reaches up idly with one hand to pull out twig from his hair before he flicks it off to the side. "...Hm."

Then with a simple ease, he steps out into the clearing, resting the blade against his shoulder as he lets out a whistle toward the teams direction to try and get their attention before he calls out, "Hey there! What are you guys up too, huh? Your not helping my hunting any with all that-- whatever!"

He also then points to the dead animal, "Also you guys going to need that when your done?"

General Zod (524) has posed:
Jax-Ur looks up from the carcass. "Why yes, we will! We plan to eat it, after all. Assuming it isn't poisonous, anyway." The man talking is thinner than the others, with a slightly stooped posture. Age seems to have taken its toll on the man. He glances down at the predator, then at Fang.
"You should be careful if you're wandering these woods. This beast has a natural optical camouflage ability that fools the senses, making it appear places it isn't. A.... displacement ability, if you will." The beast is a man-sized large cat of some kind, with a lustrous black-purple coat.

Fang (594) has posed:
"Well, it is a predator and a cat at that." Fang says rather calmly with a mild dead-pan look on his face. "Though having the ability to fool the senses is pretty cleaver." He then rubs the back of his neck as his thoughts wonder for a bit, before he then walks toward the group-- though he only takes a few steps.

"Maybe I can lend you guys a hand and in turn, you guys can share some of the feast. Sound like a deal?" Fang asks placing out his free hand with a slight smile. "No losers here in this after all. I mean, beyond maybe my life, but hey. I've been through worse binds then having to deal with hard to see critters."

General Zod (524) has posed:
The Kryptonian hmmms... "We can give you a part of the spoils, yes. I don't think you'd like it on our ship though, since most people find it hard to breathe our atmosphere." Jax-Ur explains just as the little AI says something about the analysis of the cat. "Ah. Poisonous, even to us. Well, that rules out roast panther, I suppose!" The thin man chuckles darkly.
The aged man turns to Fang directly. "Not to worry, we've already processed a deer carcass. My name is Jax-Ur, by the way. And you are?"

Fang (594) has posed:
Fang hrms about the atmosphere being hard to breath and then walks up to Jax-Ur, as he then goes to sheath away his sword as he walks, then extends out his hand, "My name is Fang. Pleasure to meet you Jax-Ur and your team."

Fang looks at the panther as it comes up poisonous. "..Hard to believe something like that be poisonous to you people. Did the deer come up the same way.. or?"

General Zod (524) has posed:
The scientist hmms? He hesitantly shakes Fang's hand. It's an alien gesture to him, but he's heard of shaking hands as a form of greeting, yes. "Oh, the deer is fine. We're actually out here to survey the local ecology and see how it operates. It's quite fascinating, seeing how this multiverse meshes different ecologies together. There's much to learn about planetology from the results." Jax-Ur seems quite happy to be discussing his work.
"Do you know the area well?" He asks jovially.

Fang (594) has posed:
After the handshake, Fang crosses his arms over his chest. Shifting his weight mostly to one leg as he listens to the Jax talk about some thing. Though at the next question he gives a minor shake of his head, "Afraid not, but I know enough to survive on my own once I was given a sword and some armor."

Fang then huffs to the side. "Though probably going to need a find a job soon enough, if I don't want to keep living out here in the land of kill or be killed." He frowns just a touch at this. Fang then thinks for a moment, "But I'm a survivor. If there is something that needs to be located or scoped out. I have no problem with doing that, besides-- most wild animals.. they don't like fire.. and fire-- is something I fully understand how to use."

General Zod (524) has posed:
"I was curious to know if you had knowledge of this area, it would save us some time to have local experts." Jax-Ur shrugs as he hears a member of his team comes back hauling rather large horned animal with a bony mask over one shoulder. Circular burn marks dot the thing's body.
"Oh, something new, I see. Come, Fang, let us see what Tela-Ek has found for us." There's glee in the man's voice.

Fang (594) has posed:
Fang raises a brow at what is being brought in. He isn't sure what it actually is, so a learning experience may be good. Even if he is pretty sure he could handle himself against it, but never hurts right? So the young man gives a nod of his head, "Sure, because I'll be honest. That-- that I can safely say I never seen before."

General Zod (524) has posed:
The kryptonian hmphs at Jax-Ur before letting the thing flop onto the ground. "Whatever, boss."
Jax-Ur hmms and opens the mouth of the beast, and gives Fang a good view. "See the teeth, Fang? They're flat, for grinding down its food. This animal ate plants. BUT!" He gestures to the horns and bony face mask of the animal.
"It was equipped to deal with predators by charging or goring them. If you were going to hunt this, how would you do it?" Jax-Ur is checking the thing's thick shaggy fur as he says this, examining the plasma rifle wounds.

Fang (594) has posed:
Fang looks over the creature that was brought to him. He examines it, those vibrant blue eyes were their sightly slit pupils give the creature a very hard, stern look really. "Back before someone cast me out here.. I would have just dropped out of the sky from behind it and grasped my jaws around the back of the neck and then snapped it."

Fang then rubs his chin, "But now in my pre-fledged form.. probably setup a ground trap to tangle it up into the air, by tricking it /to/ charge at me, so the trap would trigger on its hign quarter or have it charge at me, roll out of the way of its horn and swipe at the back of its leg to injure it."

The young man then tilts his head, "Normally if a creature has a self defense like charging.. they will do that instead of running.. so you just use its own defenses against itself in the end."

General Zod (524) has posed:
Jax-Ur nods. "Just so. Our leader would have simply grabbed the beast and used its own weight to snap its neck, but the General is much more comfortable with his powers than most of us."
The scientist shifts the body easily, showing Fang the wounds. "You are right, however. Ambush or treachery, and I think Tela ambushed it. A sturdy specimen though, since I count five wounds that would have felled a bison or rhino." The wounds are clustered on the side, near the rib cage.
Jax-Ur smiles under the opaque helmet. "Now then, we will check for toxicity and butcher the carcass for transport. Would you like a leg if it's amenable?"

Fang (594) has posed:
Fang smirks softly. "Sounds like your leader would have been the kind of guy I would have loved too test, and still love to test, my own strength against." He then looks over the beast, before he looks up at Jax. He gives then a soft nod of his head. "Sure. A leg or two would be fine."

Fang then raises a brow, "So uh, tell me about your leader.. if you don't mind."

General Zod (524) has posed:
The scientist sets about probing the beast and having the egg-shaped drone analyze the beast.
"General Zod was the leader of the Warrior Guild on Krypton before its demise. To date he's the only one of us who can fully function outside our own atmosphere. The oxygen has some... mind-altering properties that most of us aren't able to cope with yet."
He stops a moment. "You've hinted that you were once more than you are now. Imagine going from this to something more... godlike?"

Fang (594) has posed:
"Oh.. I can relate with that." Fang says very calmly as he watches what the probe does, confused and yet fascinated by it. "And he sounds like the type when I get back my full strength again, be the kind of guy that be fun to fight."

The young man looks at Jax then his arms crossing once more back over his chest. "See, where I come from. I /was/ one the strongest. No one could beat me that I could ever find. So I went to our creator and went to find out who was the strongest ever in our world, then she got her holy feathers all ruffled, and banished me here." Fang then sneers his teeth for a moment, before he shakes his head.

"So as soon has I figure out /what/ she did to me and I figure how to get back home. I'm going to march right up to her tower and show her why you don't mess with the Dragon Emperor." He then slams his fist into the palm of his hand with a growl on his lips. His shoulders then slump slightly as he closes his eyes. Giving a soft shake of his head. "How that is my own personal vendetta and one I'll just have to keep searching for to gain."

General Zod (524) has posed:
Jax-Ur hmms. "Oh, well, then you can imagine suddenly being able to hear grass grow and the heartbeat of every insect within miles. Or what it's like to suddenly see radiation and kinds of light that you couldn't before. It's a bit of a... ah. Headache." He chuckles at his own little joke.
"But the oxygen does more than enhance our senses. General Zod has learned how to fly and project heat from his eyes as well. Our bodies are greedy, you see, extracting every ounce of energy from the sun and air that it can. With more energy than was available on Krypton, we're practically god-like."

Fang (594) has posed:
Fang lets out a low whistle of being impressed, "That is.. pretty impressive." He shifts his weight a bit as he looks at Jax, "So.. why can he handle this all, but--- not you guys? I mean, your all of the same clan right?"

General Zod (524) has posed:
Jax-Ur hmms? "Not all of us are as strong-willed as the General. For most of us it'll be some time before we can harness these new capabilities. Even General Zod breathes our native atmosphere from time to time. I imagine it is to take a break from sensing so much."
The drone chirps. "Non-toxic, even for humans. One leg or two?" the scientist says cheerfully.
