A whole NEW-U!
Date of Scene: 13 May 2017
Location: Pandora
Synopsis: Gaige tests out a new piece of hardware on Ferham! It has some pretty interesting results and allows her use of the New-U machine.
Cast of Characters: 1112, 516

Gaige (1112) has posed:
Gaige had been tinkering. Oh, how she'd been tinkering. You see, Sanctuary had one of those fancy New-U units. The problem was, it didn't work. Technically being an outlaw city had its issues. Like a lot of stuff being cut off the grid or ignored, not to mention the constant bombing raids against the city shields.

But, now? Now things were different. Gaige had hauled the machine to her work shop and spent the last few days tearing it apart. First had been removing the 'anti-tinkering features', which constituted enough explosive fire power to blow up a building. Fortunately it wasn't able to be activated remotely or the machine likely would have gone off ages ago.

But after that, it had been a simple process of hacking the files(not her best talent), accidentally wiping half the data, having to refresh from the backups she made, turning it on and off again, using an admin account she got off a guy(she knows an awful lot of 'guys'. This one was likely a spanish woman), finally getting the thing to work.

From there, she had updated a few things, installed some stuff, done a few modifications but now? Now it was golden. She laughed maniacly. Pushed some buttons. Now she just needed a test subject...
Ferham (516) has posed:
To be completely fair, Ferham was coming down here more for Gaige's benefit and concern for her rather than out of curiosity. Whatever the crazy Mechromancer girl had been working on earlier that she'd heard over Starknet seemed dangeorus--what with the talk of explosives... she was already kicking herself for not heading over here sooner. She had apparently missed the '500 lbs of explosives' bit that was bragged about earlier in the evening. Truthfully, she just didn't want to see the girl get hurt--though she wasn't likely to admit that. She /was/ a bit on the crazy side, she did admit however--which was why the femmebot had taken wing down here to her garage.

"Gaige? Hello?" Ferham called, her wings folding behind her as she let herself in, her boots making clattering noises against the likely dusty floor of her shop. Where /was/ the crazy twin-tailed redhead?
Gaige (1112) has posed:
Gaige turned around! She was... wearing a pair of heavy duty glvoes, a metal face mask, a silver colored apron and, well... it was obvious she'd been working on something heavy duty. Oh dear.

She grinned wide, tossing her power welder to the side and making it crash. "Good! Ferham! I was waiting for you!" she yelled, running over and taking the girl's hands. "Don't worry!" she yelled. "I kind of forgot to wear my ear plugs, so I'm a little deaf! But the nano machines will fix that no problem, you know? Best things ever! Now come on! It's time to see a new-U!"

She grabbed Ferham's hand and hauled her towards the machine and then, kind of rudely, shoved her inside.
Ferham (516) has posed:
"Gaige! Oh, there you are," Ferham seemed to visibly relax when she saw that Gaige was, well, still in one piece. She's only known the crazy mechinist girl for a few days but she had learned to take care of what friends you had. Even if they hadn't known eachother too long.

"What're you--" she trailed off when Gaige began to speak very loudly to her and in a monotonous tone, realizing the girl had hurt her hearing. Great--she /had/ messed herself up, well, nothing a pair of cyber ears wouldn't fix--

And then Ferham was taken by the wrist and roughly pulled--then shoved into what looked like a large machine--stumbling as she went. Uh oh. Even if the heels on her boots were on the chunky side she could still be thrown off balance--it wasn't hard, especially when you had a cybernetic arm like Gaige did!

"What the...?"
Gaige (1112) has posed:
Gaige grinned as she locked it. "Don't worry, it's fine. You'll be fine. Probably!" Click click. Inside the box was smooth, metal walls. With lots of little grooves that things likely came out of.

After a few moments there was a green light as she was scanned and.... a moment later her outer appearance(sans armor), appeared on the screen(though it did have a default appearance of underwear. It seemed to follow modesty, at least).

"Okay, okay. Let's see. How about.... how's this?" She tapped some buttons, and then it would... "Uh oh. Ack!"

It showed her with... well... It showed her in one of mad moxxi's uniforms, with her hair(or reploid equivalent), dyed to match! And then the slots opened and little arms lanced out, with sprays and other things to make this a reality, even stealing her armor.

Oh this day was going to -suck-.
Ferham (516) has posed:
The machine seemed to be able to access Fer's armor program and soon she was standing there in just her black full-body undersuit--looking pretty bewildered and surprised, all things considered.

"What is this--Mmphh!" her voice from inside was muffled as something came down over her face, a makeup applicator mask, she'd likely learn later--which went through the trouble of applying Mad Moxxi's trademark facepaint, lipstick, blush and eyeliner. Her hair was already black and straight, but quite long--and it was given a tease and some curling by the arms that the machine employed. It was this period when the long low-cut dress was pulled onto her--with the long sleeves and cuffs, fishnets, high heeled knee-length boots made to resemble spats--everything went on. As well as fingerless gloves--because of course.

"Mwah--what is..." she blinked as the makeup mask lifted away from her face. Now the high performance combat and flight-equipped reploid lady was affectionately clad in a Mad Moxxi uniform outfit!
Gaige (1112) has posed:
Gaige opened it a moment later. "Ferham I'm so sorry I can fix it I didn't realize that--" She paused and stared. Then... "Oh. Sweet. Your skin is still on. Okay! Now that the test run is done... ummm... hold on." Locked her in again. DANG IT GAIGE!

The screen in front of her showed herself, and now she could click it to adjust hair color, clothing, all that good stuff. "Go ahead, try it out, have fun!"
Ferham (516) has posed:
"I came down here because I was worried you were--oh right, you can't hear me," Ferham felt dumb for a moment, though she did look great in that outfit, all things considered--one of the arms even came down and planted the fanciful tophat on her head, which gave her just the perfect look. She rolled her eyes a bit, mostly at herself, less at Gaige--she was going to have some words with her mechromancer friend once she was out of there. She tapped experimentally at the screen after the door slammed shut in her face. Now to figure out how to return her gear--her finger tapped at the touch screen--which 'RANDOM' immediately highlighting, as if on it's own. What the?!

Ferham was seized again by the arms--this time a fine nano-bot mist sprayed on her--the makeup dissolving (except for the lipstick and eyeliner) and within seconds her skintone changed entirely from pale to something much swarthier--her fine long black hair becoming a fair bit more curly, while still long--as well as a hot pink color. Her hair even lengthened down her back as the arms continued--slipping on shoulder length velvet gloves, a slinky blue sparkly cocktail dress, pantyhose and a pair of stiletto heels.

Lips pouty and glossy, face and hair done up--Jessica Rabbit, eat your heart out! She was posed with a hand on her hip, idly staring at herself--as if she was mystified by her own appearance.
Gaige (1112) has posed:
Gaige hummed, waited a bit, and once it was done, she... opened the door and stared. She... struggled not to burst into giggles, her hand moving to cover her mouth.

"W-why, Ferham. I never knew you were much of a, snicker, singer. Are you going to give me a song? I could probably hotwire a microphone or... a rocket launcher or something. Probably. I've got a lot of scrap here. I wonder if I could make a karaoke machine..."
Ferham (516) has posed:
Ferham was SO going to have words with Gaige when she was out of this predicament. She walked slowly out of the machine, her arms by her sides with her palms flat, daintily--heels clicking against the workshop floor as she looked around, having to tilt her head to bounce a long hot pink curly bang out of her face.

"Man alive, Gaige honey--this place is giving me the hinks!" she was using a fairly outdated and old-timey speech pattern here, looking about as apparently the shop was dusty and was likely gonna get all over her dress. With the hot pink hair and dusky appearance, it might even be a bit hard to recognize her after a trip through Gaige's hot-wired machine.

"Hmm... mic stand, stage, kararoke machine--those all sound like a fine time, honey," she didn't seem to realize Gaige was standing there snickering so much at first, though she tilted her head at her, frowning just a little.

"You /are/ an odd one, aren't you?"
Gaige (1112) has posed:
Gaige stared when she started talking. Stared, stared, stared. Then fell over and just laughed, clutching her stomach and laughing so hard she almost had tears in her eyes. "Oh my gosh you sound rediculous! Did people actually TALK like that? Bah ha ha ha ha! Oh my gosh, hold on. just... just old on. I-I'll see what I can piece together. J-just give me a minute!"

Eventually, she got up and started rummaging about. She grabbed some tools, there were sparks, a few explosions, and then... a microphone was set up. Sorta. It looked more like a voice modulator that had been hotwired to an intercom unit BUT IT WOULD WORK!
Ferham (516) has posed:
Ferham frowned and pouted at Gaige very obviously making fun of her, though while the battle-ready femmebot might have usually taken a strong tone with Gaige or gotten in her face--Ferham just sort of made a 'hmph' noise and stood there pouting for a few more moments. She didn't seem to stay angry for long--as she seemed more concerned about the explosions going off where Gaige was working there. When she returned with the microphone, however, she looked like she was delighted.

"Oh thanks hon, I appreciate it," she smiled, taking it and brushing her long curly hot pink bangs back again as she began to sing, closing her eyes...

"You had plenty of money in 1922, you let other women make a fool of you..." yes, she was singing 'why don't you do right' by Peggy Lee, followed by a heart-warming rendition of 'Blue Velvet' by Bernie Wayne, but best known for being sung by Bobby Vinton. The battle-hardened female Reploid seemed like quite the starlet! Demure, the right posture and finesse--she was a natural!
Gaige (1112) has posed:
Gaige was getting ALL of this. She had cameras all over her lab! For obvious reasons. Like, if she didn't? She'd likely be dead by now. They also surrounded it. And she was enjoying this too much. She didn't know ANY of these songs, though. Once it was over.

"Sooo. Those songs from your world, or something else? You're like, part machine, right? So does that mean you can just download songs at any time? Or does your memory work like a human's? Do you need to learn things?"
Ferham (516) has posed:
"Of course I can learn things, hon--and yes, they're from my world," she smiled, gloved fingers still holding the microphone that Gaige had so helpfully made for her. She /had/ done a great job singing too, truth be told--Ferham's normal voice was a deep feminine purr, and she'd put it to good use but also seemed able to raise it for some of the songs--just when she needed to reach the higher notes, anyway. "I can upload them too, if you want, I could probably put more of them in there," she hadn't sung them 'mechanically', to her credit, she'd seemed like she sung the first one a bit off the cuff, actually, at that.

"You're a real nice girl, Gaige--I just wish you'd be more careful and stop making so many explosions--and hurt yourself less, hon," she smiled, sincerely--though also looked a bit concerned. Aww, did Fer really care about the crazy girl?
Gaige (1112) has posed:
Gaige shrugged. "Eh. What's life without a bit of pain and explosions? Boring, that's what. Now, my turn!" She stepped into the machine and started pushing some things as it closed.

"Don't mess with anything!" she called out.

... Well, Ferham was given a golden opportunity here, now wasn't she? Payback! ... Yeah, Gaige didn't think these things through before running head first into danger.
Ferham (516) has posed:
"Please, honey, do I look like a technician?" Ferham seemed to laugh off the idea that she could affect anything as Gaige disappeared into the machine, the doors closing behind her. As she was in there, Ferham couldn't help but notice the nearby display that Gaige had used earlier--heels clicking as she sauntered over to it.

"Oh, so much dust in here..." she idly swiped at the touch screen with a gloved finger, appraising the amount of dust that wound up on the fabric of her glove--having inadvertently pressed a key on it.

Suddenly, Gaige would notice that the arms deploying the 'badass terminator-esque' outfit she'd selected would shift gears--instead spraying her with a fine mist of nano-bots--that fiery red set of twintails of hers now becoming strawberry blonde--the makeup mask slipping down over her face in a flash and applying bubblegum pink lipstick, eyeliner, dark purple eyeshadow. She was clad in a short pleated skirt with a short-sleeved button-up blouse which was tied at the front, showing off her midriff and naval. Frilly marabou ankle-length socks over feet slipped into black open-toed heels--fairly high ones, too, ones that Gaige would have /no idea/ how to keep her balance in. And over her throat, a cute little choker with a pink charm at the center.
Gaige (1112) has posed:
Gaige grinned wide as she tapped away. She was going to look AWESOME! Black leather jacket, slick black hair, bad ass-- Wait, what was going-- "WAIT! NO!" But, too late.

Her screams of horror were so loud you'd think she was being murdered. Eventually the door opened and she fell out. Literally. Like, actually FELL out. Oh, she just gave the other girl a look of pure murder. While it may have altered Ferham's programming a bit. Gaige did not have programming. What she did have was a desire for vengeance. "I am going to murderize you!" she screamed, before trying to... crawl... at her. Oh gosh she didn't know how to walk in heels. Or murder chase someone! "YOU MADE ME LOOK LIKE MARCIE!" She grabbed a metal pipe and struggled to chase the lounge singer!
Ferham (516) has posed:
"What's wrong, hon?" Ferham was likely confused as to what Gaige's problem was--of course, she had no idea she had interrupted the process and turned Gaige's badass dream outfit into a nightmare!

"Aww, let me help you up there," she'd lift Gaige, with her very potent Reploid strength--hoisting the girl up and likely making her drop the pipe in the process, accidentally.

"Don't you look as cute as a button--wha? you don't like it? Aww let me help you dear," she'd likely be giving Gaige a small tutorial in how to walk in those shoes as she led her back around to the machine, helping her keep her balance as she helped her out of the stiletto pumps.

"You were doing good there, but you need /a lot/ of practice if you wanna strut in those like me," she grinned good naturedly.
Gaige (1112) has posed:
Gaige was too stunned to speak. She just... there were no words. None. None at all. She just... she just opened her mouth, closed it, opened it. How could you be mad at that? It was like being mad at a gold fish. It didn't know what it did wrong.

Finally... "I don't -wear- high heels." Oh, Moxxi had been trying to get her to do it for ages. 'Really need to pretty yourself up. Wear pretty clothes. Don't flirt, guys like a challenge. Stop watching anime until three in the morning.' Bah, moxxi sucked.

She practically threw herself into the machine, coming out as herself a moment later and then GRABBED Ferhamand tossed her in. Within a few moments, the girl would be back to normal as well. Gaige sighed.

"So, I think we've learned a lot today. If you EVER tell ANYONE about what happened to me there, I will reprogram you. Got it?"
