Profile

Arthur Lowell was one of many thousands of teenage gamers thrown into the game of Sburb on April 13th, AU 20, escaping the apocalypse of Earth-413 into the game, and a year and a half later concluded it by creating an entirely new universe, of which he is now God of Space. Arthur now has power over various celestial processes, gravity, and even the fabric of space itself, as well as the various resources gleaned from Sburb, such as unique crafting mechanisms. At his exterior, though, he's still the same casual game geek he went into the game as, with a touch of trickster god and much more hot-blooded than one would expect of a deity. Now that he's finished his own quest, he finds himself deeply indebted to both the Union and the Confederacy, and traverses the Multiverse, to make up the debt, and to find new adventures.

Advantages

Powers

Mage of Space: Arthur's class and aspect allow him to perform widely varied magic based on space, distances, celestial processes, and cosmic reactions listed below, as well as, to a lesser degree, other magics that he might be taught, and many small spells of simple utility as a substitution for things he could otherwise perform through commonly accessible mundane means, such as transmitting information, operating simple tools, or other similar suchlike, as well as simple detection of magic energy (if it is not being obfuscated). All magic depends on how resistant local space is; it can be limited from nothing but quick short-range magic to long-range instant transmission, but depends on the world in question, or even the region therein.

Gate Magic: Arthur's primary specialty is his command of Gates and thresholds. He is able to link places together using doors, warp portions of familiar locations into his surroundings, and most commonly, generated connected points of space, Gates; objects or people who enter these Gates emerge from Gates to which they are linked. Arthur can create many Gates at once, and in short ranges is able to efficiently use them in combat.

Space Magic: Arthur's secondary specialty is warping the fabric of space itself; he can bend the world around him to alter the trajectory of moving objects, temporarily increase or decrease distances between points within a short range, and can act as an incredibly potent human warp engine for any craft. He has a variety of potent space-related senses, and is able to detect almost any irregular disturbances to the fabric of space, within range.

Gravity Magic: An instinctual power, Arthur can generate massive amounts of gravity very quickly, change his own or others' personal gravity, manifest damaging differentials of gravity in beams or fields, and other similar manipulations over short range.

Celestial Magic: Secondary specialties include processes such as nuclear fusion, various forms of electromagnetic radiation, mass-forming cosmic processes to create basic elements, and even more esoteric cosmic phenomena such as minor black holes. Arthur can perceive these supernaturally, manipulate their behavior, create them, or even physically become them, either entirely or partially, for travel or maneuvering. However, this requires time and concentration, and has substantially reduced combat efficiency when used to change his form. He also has a limited and temporary ability to imbue objects or individuals with properties from these.

God Tier: Arthur has become a god, granting limited immortality and other benefits. See +themelist/powers Homestuck-1 for more information.

Skills

Strife Portfolio: Arthur uses the Broomkind and Swordkind Strife Specibus, giving high personal skill in wielding any weapon that qualifies as a broom or a single sword. He also has Fistkind, granting him reliable and high-strength hand-to-hand brawling abilities. See +themelist/power Homestuck-1 for more information.

Mage: Arthur's class of Mage endows him with a high-level academic intelligence and information-processing talents, as well as infrequent clever insight. This is slightly impeded by the fact that he pretends this enhancement does not exist. Regardless, the rate at which he learns and processes information is very high, and he has a long and reliable memory.

Space: Arthur's aspect of Space grants him high-level kinematic instinct, geometric spatial awareness, precise distance estimation, and other similar skills that allow for circumstantial feats of dexterity and agility.

HOT-BLOODED: Arthur could be mistaken for a minor deity of boiling blood and shounen screaming. He has a positively absurd quantity of willpower.

Assets

Fetch Modus: Arthur retrieves items from his Sylladex via a Tree Modus. It stores items in the leaves of the tree data structure in alphabetical order, but the names can be awkwardly changed for the sake of less inconvenient structuring. Either the leaves or the root can be taken, but taking an object causes all of its leaf objects to fall out of the Sylladex. See +themelist/powers Homestuck-1 for more information.

LOSAF Energy Direction Systems: The Land of Spires and Frogs has been terraformed and converted into a full, massive energy redirection system that allows the planet itself to focus and condense high volumes of elemental power produced at Arthur's home. The music must be composed for the pipe organ that produces the energy to achieve specific effects, meaning that improvisation is difficult. It is difficult for Arthur to wield it as a direct weapon, but with use of Gates, it can be a powerful support weapon, or a very useful tool for creating massive effects in other worlds, especially if the whole planetoid itself is brought into orbit, directing elemental energies such as high volumes of water, fire, electricity, or similar magical elements. Helpful for both orbital-striking terrible enemies and various high-energy-demand utility demands. Arthur can direct smaller amounts of its powerful beams by way of his Gates if he's not got any options to bring LOSAF itself in.

Home: Arthur lives on LOSAF; food, shelter, and accommodations are easy for him to gain and to provide here. He can take care of a substantial number of refugees for a time in fairly high numbers, as well as handle high-demand guests, due to the high food production capacity, available space, and suburban-esque standard of living available.

Alchemy: Arthur can and has crafted various potent artifacts. See +info Arthur/Alchemized and +themelist/powers Homestuck-1 for further information.

Time: Arthur has been granted an artifact enabling some limited time travel. See +info Arthur/Time for more information.

NPCs

Iguanas: Arthur is a major religious figure to a small race of roughly humanoid Iguanas. They are small and blue and many of them are somewhat stupid, and none of them are capable of combat. However, they are extremely durable, resilient to both attacks and environmental hazards, and often willing to help with basic labor matters at the request of the Mage of Space. They are especially skilled in matters of farming, architecture, and metalwork.

Disadvantages

Endgame content: Arthur's combat efficiency is peaked; there is simply nowhere higher to go. This would be good, if it weren't for the fact that it peaked at such a low level. Direct combat is a problem for Arthur, and he doesn't like it. While his arsenal and abilities may be expansive in a horizontal sense, it is not in a vertical one; Arthur is simply unlikely to increase his direct combat abilities.

Old Debts: Arthur is deeply in debt in a personal sense to the Union and Confederacy, who spent a large amount of time just keeping him alive. Thus, there are many members of the Union and Confederacy that can call in this old debt to force Arthur to avert his intended courses of action rather easily, if needed.

Conditional Immortality: Resurrection is a problem when it only works sometimes. Arthur can be killed under two conditions: If his death is Just, which is to say, if he did something or became something morally wrong and was killed as a result, or if his death is Heroic, which is to say, if he sacrificed his life in an act of heroism, or tried to use his immortality to cheat some situation's sacrifice requirements. The resurrection may also be delayed or even prevented by massive amounts of spiritual or magical damage, though the sheer amount required for death is spectacularly high.

Squishy Caster: Despite being endgame, Arthur Lowell is, compared to other gods, surprisingly squishy. Besides a resistance to massive-object impacts, Arthur has almost no resistances to speak of, rendering him absurdly incapable of "tanking" anything that is not an extremely high-mass object such as a meteor or a spatial warp like a projectile back hole. Unlike many gods, Arthur's resilience is no greater than his average-hero level he was at before.

Dream Magic: Due to Arthur's history as a Derse dreamer and the fact that his dreams occur in a way that is deeply connected to a real world space, Arthur is highly vulnerable to dream-related magic and has associated vulnerabilities to other telepathic influence.

Limited Alchemy: Arthur has reached the peak of his alchemy resources; these resources are not renewable at this scale anymore, and must be recycled. Arthur cannot alchemize anything that might be both expendable and expensive, at least not in large numbers. This can be averted to a very small degree by processing valuable or rare objects for grist.

Poor Impressions: Arthur gives the first impression of a bratty, loud gamer, rather than a god who wields phenomenal cosmic powers. As a result, socializing is often rather difficult. He also tends to lie by omission about his godhood, claiming almost obsessively that it's not important, which can create a lot of awkwardness and social dysfunction if that goes south, and denies him a lot of opportunities that would otherwise come up if Arthur were straightforward about things.
