Like many adventurers of her kind Cheyanne had her destiny set for her by the higher forces of the world, conscripted into the service of the Envoys of the Elements. Given power over the elements of nature by their bindings, it is her duty to walk the world providing guidance to their champions and striking down the enactments of the darker realms. Cheyanne does so with the patience of the mountains and gentle flow of a stream, but one provoked her fury is as vicious as any storm or volcanic eruption. The elements are at her command, manifesting conjuration from the primal energies that can tend to the land or strike down foes with equal strength. Which is good, because between unscrupulous business tyrants, corruptions from the Netherdark, and dungeon depths normal folk don't even know exist; there are plenty of enemies to go around. And that's not even counting the ongoing wars. The trek has hardened her, to the point of becoming a wise but fairly jaded mystic. Cheyanne won't turn her back on someone needing her help or the lands she now strides to protect, but her aid doesn't always come in obvious ways until they've earned her proper trust.

Jaded Mystic: The journey of natural enlightment and elemental retribution has hardened Cheyanne, tempering her mystism with a cautious wariness for her own protection. While she won't turn away from those asking her help, she's known to be vage, indirect and unobtrusive until she's comfortable and trusts them. She can and will indulge in subtle tests of character and seemingly karmatic trials if she feels its necessary to determine someone's trustworthiness. Needless to say, she's annoyed friends and enemies alike with the habit.

Walking Technocide: Cheyanne and advanced technology do -not- get along because of how polarized nature and industrialization are to each other in her world. Basically the more advanced and complicated it is, the more likely she is to cause it to blow up, meltdown, or otherwise fail epicly if she tries to use it herself. Some machines will just get fussy or glitchy in her presence, making it an annoyance. Magitech tends to at least be erratic rather than fail on her. Technology used by or unique to Elites tends to not be affected by just her presence, but her trying to make use of it will almost always be disasterous.

Locational Weakness: The same as certain environments can make one or two elements stronger, they tend to have counterparts that are made weaker as well, often in direct contrasts to each other. Fire would be weaker in a snowstorm, whereas in a desert conjured ice would fizzle. Heavily mechanized and metal-forged locations can interfer with -all- her elemental channels if she can't find a decent focal point due to how technology and her nature powers do not cooperate, as can anti-magic and anti-elemental fields. Such a condition forces her to rely entirely on energies stored within her totem staff or wands, which deplenishes with use.

Will Of The Elements: Cheyanne is indentured to the Envoys of the Elements and the battles they wish her to fight. While free to pursue her own endeavors when not given a specific task, their intent to preserve the precarious balance of nature in the wars always come first. Fortunately they tend to not intervene directly, but often send guidance and directives Cheyanne must consider when choosing her actions, as her strength depends on their stability in the world and the planes beyond. In the end the Elements do not care so much who wins the Multiverse as they do who will not exploit it into destruction and collapse.
