Profile

Once a sailor who was betrayed for personal gain and left to rot in prison for fourteen years, Edmond Dantes found vast riches and became the Count of Monte Cristo, exacting revenge against those who ruined his life in a whirlwind of despair. Having since died, he has been summoned as the magical spirit Avenger, an incarnation of revenge. Fixated on people's convictions and if they'll break them, as well as on the 'guilty', which is most people, Dantes travels to act as a 'nemesis', kept company primarily only by his delusions. He fights with dark flames fueled by his rage as well as the ability to appear wherever he wills, plotting constantly against those he meets.

Disadvantages

Vengeance <Trouble>: Edmond Dantès' entire current existence is defined by his hatred; an incarnation of revenge. His intense hatred is projected against all those around him besides the innocent, which is a very narrow category including the young, those with no malice in their heart (which he cannot determine by anything but guessing), or those who have never betrayed something. This means that almost everyone is guilty in his eyes, and while he will not usually attack on sight, Dantès will commit to lashing against those who are 'guilty' if they threaten him or the 'innocent' even in the most minor of ways or if they interfere with his actions, doing such whenever he has the opportunity. He does not have mercy, and fights brutally in every situation, and will plot elaborate schemes against his enemies. Dantès' anger is most potent against traitors, including those who have betrayed their faith or similar, and he will treat such people with hostilities until they either repent or die, occasionally both, beginning complex plots to start this, and attacking with intent to kill as soon as he gets the chance, at times obsessively hunting them to the ends of the earth.

Delusional <Significant>: Edmond Dantès is a delusional man, and sees things that are not there, or that are not real. He associates the people he meets with the people who he knew in life based on first impressions, often treating them as friends or enemies based on this, and can be led to believe someone is one of these with trickery. He will believe lies and stories about 'traitors' incredibly easily even without evidence, and can be fed fanciful narratives relatively easily as well. Dantès is also over-dramatic, and tends to monologue or ignore parts of a situation, such as certain actors, for brief periods of time, which can easily be taken advantage of.

Conviction <Minor>: Edmond Dantès is obsessed with conviction. A man who survived by his, while his enemies broke theirs, he highly respects those with strong convictions and loathes those with weak ones - but for all, he tests them, seeing how strong they really are. Dantès has a habit of testing people's convictions and oaths, trying to make them betray them, see if in the end, they'll break, using any means it might take, including threats, traps, and other unsavory means.
