Description

Do not believe what the scientists tell you. The natural history we know is a lie, a falsehood sold to us by wicked old men who would make the world a dull gray prison and protect us from the dangers inherent to freedom. They would have you believe our planet to be a lonely starship, hurtling through the void of space, barren of magic and in need of a stern hand upon the rudder. Close your mind to their deception. The time before our time was not a time of senseless natural struggle and reptilian rage, but a time of myth and sorcery. It was a time of legend, when heroes walked Creation and wielded the very power of the gods. It was a time before the world was bent, a time before the magic of Creation lessened, a time before the souls of men became the stunted, withered things they are today.

The Year is R.Y. 1019, though the face of Creation has changed but a little. The return of the Solar Exalted and their meddling in the affairs of the world - as well as the appearance of their strange cousins from the Underworld - has stalled the seemingly inevitable Realm Civil War considerably, as the Scarlet Empire must scramble to secure its holdings from increasingly impossible threats. Through life-extending treatments, Regent Fukof remains on the Scarlet Throne - for now - and the bubbling political struggle over who will succeed the Scarlet Empress has been carefully balanced so as not to boil over just yet. In the background, the newest - and increasingly powerful - servants of the Yozis work to destabilize the world to pave the path for their patrons' glorious return to Creation.

And Elsewhere, the Great Maker's Divine Ministers ponder and worry, turning their gaze to the seals that cordone their World-God off from the madness that Creation is about to face.

OOC Note/Disclaimer: This theme of Exalted is heavily based off of Blossom Rose of Autumn and Viridian Sunrise's old campaign settings. It has been modified from there, but many of the TPs that have occurred and will occur in the future will bend away from canon in grandiose and significant ways. At this point, the Reclamation has succeeded and the Yozi have begun to emerge from their prison - they are not yet fully free, but they are free enough to instigate a second Primordial War.

Additionally, the Seal of Eight Divinities has not yet been breached (though if somebody wants to play an Autochthonian they are free to have that happen at any time) and among the Green Sun Princes Devil-Tigers are completely unknown.
