Profile

Raised as a tool by her mother, Fate is a product of Project Fate, which Precia Testarossa used in an attempt to recreate her daughter Alicia. Fate was not exactly like Alicia, and was thusly mistreated, even though she herself did not know she was a copy. With her mother gone, she's started to realize what the rest of the universe is like, and now fights with Nanoha, the girl who saved her. Fate is extremely skilled for her young age thanks to the brutal training regimen she has undergone, and she remains an intense and driven individual even now. She can finally show her softer side more, however, and when not in battle she can be shy and quiet, though she has an innate maternal instinct that makes her protective of others, especially abandoned children like herself.

Nanoha: Nanoha was the girl who saved Fate, and Fate knows this well. Her devotion to Nanoha is absolute, and threatening or capturing Nanoha is the easiest way to control Fate's actions. In addition, if Nanoha is in danger, Fate will probably come to her aid if at all possible, even if it requires abandoning other objectives or disobeying orders.

Soft-hearted: Her earlier coldness caused a lot of people pain. Fate regrets that. She's taken up Nanoha's ideal of attempting redemption whenever possible, and an enemy in pain can really tug at her heartstrings. Unless her foe has done something truly heinous, like tortured or injured her friends, she tends to hold back slightly and hesitate more than she should.

Glass Cannon: With her education centered on speed and power, Fate's endurance is lacking. No matter what sort of power she pours into it, her Barrier Jacket and Defensor are relatively weak compared to her other attributes. These abilities might still be far superior to a normal human, but any equally-ranked mage who lands a solid hit upon her will hurt her much more badly than a more well-rounded mage. Any defensive buffs that Fate uses will be limited in effectiveness.
