The favored son of the Emperor, Warmaster of the Imperial Legions, Horus was blessed above all the leaders of the Legions of elite Space Marines. Yet his bitterness at his father keeping secrets from him, and his exposure to the extradimensional beings known as the Chaos Gods in a moment of weakness, drove Horus to turn against the Empire and now wage a vicious and bloody civil war against his own flesh and blood. A ruthless, intelligent tactician, Horus commands several Legions of his own, numerous ships and war machines, and uncanny powers that place him beyond humanity both in toughness and battle ability. His pride is his greatest weakness, as he places himself above all others despite his usual easygoing and friendly attitude.
Pride: Horus is a very proud man. He often does not show it, but he has arrogance and jealousy. He does not take well to others showing him up, or to outright disrespect, and it is possible to coax him into poor decisions that leave him vulnerable or making poor tactical choices by making him believe his honor has been infringed upon. He does not fall into this trap foolishly, but when he does, he falls hard.
Thrall to Chaos: Much of Horus's current power comes from the Warp and the Chaos Gods who revived him when he was dying. Without the power of his extradimensional patrons, he will be not just weakened, but possibly crippled. This requires him to continue on the path to Chaos, and not stray from it. It also has a tendency to warp his perceptions and understanding of situations toward his own ends, so that he honestly believes his is right even when he plainly isn't.
Stubborn: While Horus will often request the counsel of others that he respects, he has been doing so less and less of late, and once he has made up his mind he is not easily swayed. This can make it difficult for him to cut his losses and pull back when he should, or to alter his approach when a better strategy becomes clear.Aura of Majesty: The same aura that allows Horus to command so much respect also makes it difficult to move incognito. Even discounting his massive size in comparison to normal humans, it is impossible for anyone who has seen Horus to ever mistake him for anyone else. Horus is not incapable of stealth, but moving about incognito is simply never going to happen.
