Orphen is known by many as one of the world's greatest sorcerers, notable for being a magical prodigy by the age of fifteen, and attending the world's most prestigious sorcery school, the Tower of Fang. He has skill with all forms of black magic sorcery, dealing with physical forces and the basic manipulation of magical energies. His talent can make him prone to bouts of hubris when he's acting on pure emotion, putting his life in danger when he thinks it's worth it. He's also trained as a skilled Stabber, a form of sorcerer assassin, though refuses to unnecessarily kill. Though his magical energy is closely linked to his physical stamina, making him very careful about when and how much he uses it, often falling back onto his Stabber skills. He's a good natured person, but isn't shy about expressing a lack of patience when people get on his nerves or try to screw him over. Even so, he shows a lot of wisdom for a twenty year old, but he's also prone to risking his life and taking on dangerous jobs purely for the money. Right now he's exploring the Multiverse, trying to learn about the different forms of magic, mythology, and technologies, and obviously seeing what sort of profit he can make within these different civilizations.

Magic Components: The kind of magic that humans in his world use is phono-magic and requires vocal components. It is impossible for a human to use magic in an area where the voice can't make any sounds. Also, magic energy is focused into and released from the hand, so if one is made incapable of releasing energy from the hands, it would be nearly impossible to actually perform spells.

Tower of Fang: Orphen quit the Tower of Fang on very bad terms after they declared Azalie to be dead and refused to help her return to normal. They view Orphen as a potential enemy and monitor his actions to see just how much he may be helping Azalie and if he's acting against them. He does have the occasional working relationship, such as with his former teacher, Childman, but outside of getting paid jobs there is still a ton of emotional tension.

Debt: Orphen has a large debt with multiple people. While he occasionally pays his debts off, he often ignores them and spends the money on other things. So even when he has a lot of money, he's almost always still in debt to someone.

Stubborn: Orphen is very stubborn. Once he has an idea in his head, it's very hard to get him to change it if he feels very strongly about it. Azalie is one of those things, he feels very strongly that he should save her and was willing to forsake everything to pursue it, regardless of what any of his masters thought. If he believes there's a way to save someone, or make their life better, he will probably stubbornly help them if -he- thinks they're good people or feels strongly about them, unless he has very strong evidence to the contrary. This can potentially create conflict, and is why the Tower of Fang is wary of him.

Stamina: His magical energy is tied in closely with his physical stamina. If he uses a lot of powerful magic for an extended period of time, he begins to become physically exhausted from the loss of magical energy. It means that he has to be careful about how he uses his magic, and generally tries to solve problems without magic when it's possible.

Stabber: He's very conflicted by his past of being trained to be an assassin. The idea that he'd have to slip back into his former role as "Krylancelo", his original given name, is one that he finds somewhat unbearable. Being put into a situation where he's being pushed into a corner to kill someone creates a large amount of mental conflict. But otherwise, he fights in a very non-lethal manner, and avoids using his former training to its full extent. This has made him a bit slower and he has less stamina than he did when he was younger.

Squishy: Despite his exceptional training and peak human conditioning, his body is still very much normal and prone to squishiness if he doesn't use any spells to protect himself or heal.
