The Prototype Equine Ground and Air System: User-friendly Series was more an experiment than a serious attempt at a functional unit... but functional she was. As a first proof-of-concept step in the Amalthea project, Pegasus used a less intensely magical creature than a unicorn as the base, and was imprinted with a carefree, cheerful personality to make her more personable. The process was flawed, however, and this was never discovered due to her shutdown. Upon reactivation, much later, the jealousy and instability of her nature was much more evident. Pegasus terrorized innocents, gleefully killed and tortured, and most importantly tried to murder her entire family before she was stopped and the flaw was repaired. Now she lives a quieter life of struggling to come to terms with her existence.

Incomplete: Pegasus was built without a full body. She has since gained a replacement chassis to 'complete' her look, but she is still sensitive about her supposedly-unfinished state. This is made worse by the fact that she has a feeling there is still something missing.

Family Ties: With her only family being Amalthea, Pegasus is excessively protective of Amalthea, and can be manipulated in this way. She also prioritizes Amalthea's safety over almost anything else. To a limited extent, she is also more protective toward other artificial beings, even those who should be the enemy. Her other family includes anyone adopted into said family, by her opinon, such as Ellestaria, Nathan Hall, or their immediate blood relatives. Unfortunately, she also has a bit of a vendetta against her parents, who in turn consider her purpose completed and would like to dismantle her. Protecting her family or pursuing her parents may drive her toward irrationality if she is foiled too much in her attempts.

Mechanical Construction: As a purely mechanical construct that is powered by magic, normal healing does not work as well on Pegasus. Anything less than 50% damage is healed normally, but more lethal wounds send the repair systems into an emergency state. Add one extra day to healing, and any healing attempts should be reduced 1 rank(IE, +fix is limited to 1 or 2)

Cold Iron: Pegasi are not vulnerable to Cold Iron by nature, but the magical process used to create Pegasus is sensitive to it. She will veer away from any cold iron that is near to her, and if forced closer will become physically uncomfortable. Cold iron weaponry(not alloys of iron, just pure iron) will also cause her intense pain if they pierce her own armor... or if they touch her internal systems, should she be unarmored and some slip into the many openings in her body.

Self Loathing: Pegasus, even after being repaired, still hates herself and her existence. She has a reason to live on now, but still views herself as little more than a machine and mockery of an actual mythic. What is more, she knows she was built entirely as a proof of concept and war machine, not out of any love or affection. This leads her into an envy and instant jealous dislike of most magical creatures, especially pegasi.
