Profile

Born to a poor family, Purity managed to work her way up in the world through a combination of skill and dedication to a minorly-known mercenary. Unfortunately for her, that eventually led to a mission for a sorcerer during which she became tainted by a Shajem. A mixed curse, this has given her the skills and strength to make a great deal more money as a mercenary, but has also left her with a growing level of madness and bitterness towards the world that has left her in this state. Able to detach and animate pieces of her body, she will do anything it takes to obtain the power she feels she deserves, and to clear herself of the taint before she is lost entirely.

Madness: A progressive degeneration of her mental state, Purity is being slowly corrupted by the energies of the Shajem that she was contaminated by. Eventually, if this is not reversed in some manner unknown to her, what attachments she has remaining will be lost. Currently, this displays itself in the form of fits of violence beyond the necessary, something that is not always welcome on operations meant to be more subtle.

Tainted: In addition to her madness, Purity is vulnerable to holy energies, and is obviously Tainted upon inspection. Even for those without knowledge, if she does not cover the scars resulting from the use of her powers she has a rather evil and frightful appearance. Given that some of these are on her face and neck, this has resulted in a tendency to wear a lot of hooded clothing.

Divided Attention: When she's acting in multiple locations, she is likely to be less effective at each of them - if a hand is off assassinating someone, her main body is going to be missing said hand. It's even worse when using an eye or ear independently, and filtering the input out is more difficult. Possibly even more problematic, her regeneration only functions if the independent bit is destroyed beyond operation - while she'll know where it is at all times, it is possible to keep her partly hostage if someone knows her powers.

Attachments: Purity still has family, and her income allows them to have at least a tolerable life. While she tries to keep her interest in them hidden, if ferreted out by a ruthless person, they could be used to gain influence over her. She has avoided visiting them in person since her encounter with the Shajem, as well, so simple blackmail is also a possibility.
