"Hello! As usual, master is making me write this report. So yesterday we headed to the mountains past Lucrelia. Present were Lyner, Grump Archer (the one who wears red and uses swords), Misha, Finna, Riva, Yuna, and of course Sanary was there to help us."

"Under the eyes of an Incarnation circling us overhead but not attacking, we reached a cave and lake in a clearing in the mountains. Finna, Riva and Yuna headed down the lake, while the rest of us headed into the cave, with Grump Archer standing guard at the entrance of the cave. Inside we found a man like a statue, meditating atop the central point of the local leylines, accumulating power. The scribblings on the wall said that God blessed humans a long time ago, but unsatisfied with that power they tried to obtain more. It seems likely now the Incarnations and Einherjar are just defending themselves; but the war seemed to start so long ago that humans don't even remember it. It's pointless, but the humans deserve it. We also got a vision of a battle a long time ago."

"Master decided it was time to get our sample, though, and had me begin draining the Einherjar. This seemed to wake it up, causing a small quake, but I continued the spell. Outside, the lake party seemed to have gotten the negative attention of an Incarnation, too."

"At this point, the Archer in red invoked the name of Hrunting, the legendary sword of Beowulf. He used magecraft to create it, but there's no doubt about it, it activated like a proper Noble Phantasm. I'm more familiar with Witchcraft; modern magecraft seems rudimentary, and I don't mean to sound condescending, also very inefficient. And since nothing about that Archer matches the legend of Beowulf, that must mean it's not even his sword. Consulting some of mister Valeth's data, I think we can narrow it down to a type of magecraft called Projection, which the magus Emiya Shirou also specializes in. Replicating Noble Phantasms wholesale shouldn't normally be possible, so it must be this particular Heroic Spirit's specialty too. That's the only explanation."

"Ah! Well, that doesn't matter right now. He fired the sword-arrow at my master, but Sanary shielded her. I finished the drain, but the Einherjar woke up fully. As it made the cave collapse and established itself as a threat, master used Berserker to dig a tunnel out of the cave while everyone else ran the other way."

"I compared the Einherjar fragment with the Incarnation fragment we got. Like it, it has two primary aspects. The Incarnation fragment is aligned with regeneration, and fire. The Einherjar one is aligned with power, and earth. It also has a fair bit more power-- in other words, an Einherjar is a greater divine entity than an Incarnation. The power is otherwise very similar in nature. More samples would be needed to draw further conclusions, but getting them might be more difficult now that the Union is angry at us."

"Another expedition is planned in the near future!" OOC: +scene 1512!
