Sir Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing is head of the Hellsing Organization and last scion of the illustrious Hellsing bloodline. For centuries, the Hellsing family has protected Britain from vampires. Integra's tenure has been the hardest since those first early nights, however. War with the Catholic Church left Hellsing weakened and vulnerable when Incognito attacked, and annihilated much of London. It has been two years since that fateful night, and the Hellsing Organization now presides over a police state, with Integra the power behind both the British throne and its entire government. A determined, uncompromising woman, a charismatic leader, and possessed of both an iron will and formidable personal combat talents, Sir Integra may well be irredeemably down the path to becoming a monster herself... yet she remains committed to Queen and Country above all else, and will do whatever it takes to protect those values. No matter what the personal cost.
Duty: As the head of the Hellsing Organization, Sir Integra has to devote a large amount of her time to administering and guiding her people. She can't take to the field very often - and she has to answer for every action she makes to the Prime Minister and the Queen. Whilst she exerts some control in the opposite direction, she isn't a power unto herself.
Honor: Integra's honor is the most important thing she has left, second perhaps only to the Hellsing Organization itself. Her word is her bond, and she will not break it; nor will she shy away from battle or conflict. She is an honorable woman, a Protestant Knight, and she will bear that title proudly until the day she dies.
Temper: The anger of Sir Integra is legendary in her organization, and she is prone to losing it whenever things do not go precisely as planned (which is, sadly, more often than she would care to admit). She demands perfection of herself and her underlings, and her pride is not difficult to wound.
The Past: Integra feels that she is a failure. Under her watch, over two million people lost their lives due to the vampire menace, and the Thames ran red with blood. She feels she must atone for that failing, and she knows that every life lost to the vampire menace is a failure of her word and her bond. It is this guilt which drives her onwards, heedless of the consequences of her actions. The Resistance: Integra's hold over Britain does not go unchallenged. There is a resistance movement, which continually frustrates and confounds her forces. Headed by a man who calls himself 'Alucard' ... but Integra does not believe that for a moment. She doesn't know who this man is, or how best to crush the resistance completely, but they are a constant thorn in her side and she will not rest until they ARE defeated.
