A bullied fifteen year old girl who suddenly discovered she had the ability to control arthropods after a traumatic incident, Taylor Hebert planned on becoming a superhero, fighting crime in her hometown of Brockton Bay. Funny how things go, sometimes. A member of a supervillain group called 'The Undersiders', dubbed 'Skitter' by the local heroes, Taylor still sees herself as a hero, trying to dig up info on the Undersiders, but at the same time, is swaying more towards the more illegal side of the law as she gets attached to her new allies and learns how heroes in Brockton Bay really work. Armed with a homemade suit, and the ability to control any insects within a three block radius, and the knowledge and creativity to turn the ability to control bugs into an actually useful and deadly power, Skitter has the possibility to be a really big villain in Brockton Bay. Maybe even the Multiverse.

PARAHUMAN: Taylor Herbert is a 'parahuman', the term in her world for superpowered individuals. Whilst this gives her unique and powerful abilities, it also gives her numerous flaws. For one, she can be overloaded by the noise when surrounded by insects, requiring her to plug her ears, as well as any other senses she shares with them, which can..sometimes lead to awkward situations depending where her insects are covering. Additionally, parahumans are followed and documented by many people, whether they're normal civilians, or government agencies, and being one in general makes life harder, not easier, for most people.

NEWBIE: Taylor has only had her abilities for several months, and has been out in costume with them even much less than that! Whilst she has learned how her abilities work, this is due to rigorous practice, and she has had no formal training in combat. Against more skilled or trained parahumans, or fighters in general, she is at a disadvantage due to her lack of experience, requiring her to have to get it her all in order to have any chance of winning a fight against anyone remotely stronger than her.

IDENTITY: The only people who are aware that Skitter and Taylor Hebert are the same person are the Undersiders, with not even her own father knowing. Due to her having family in the first place, her identity is precious, as if it was compromised, any enemies of hers could attack her at home, at school, or attack her loved ones. As such, she has to be extra careful not to let it slip, or else face the potential consequences.

CRIMINAL: Whilst not the original path she wanted to go with her super powers, Taylor has ended up as a member of the 'Undersiders', a minor supervillain team working under a mysterious employer. Being a normal criminal is hard, with the police and what not after you. Being a /supervillain/? Much harder, due to the fact that her crimes will put her up against other parahumans, and that after so many strikes, supervillain criminals get locked up in a basically-impenetrable prison, without parole.

SOCIALLY AWKWARD: Taylor has never had much in the way of friends, her biggest friend in childhood ending up being her biggest bully in high school. In social situations, she tends to stammer or say the wrong things, and sometimes misses cues that are completely obvious. Then again, some could just call that being a teenager.

BULLIED:Taylor is frequently bullied in school, ranging from verbal abuse and taunting, to being stuffed in lockers, splattered with juice, and physically assaulted. This has led to a ton of pent-up anger, due to the fact she refuses to take it out on the teenagers at her school with her powers, no matter how much she wishes, to the point that she can sometimes become a bit sadistic in her methods in combat, especially against those who are bullies themselves. Let's not forget that one of her bullies is also a superhero known for rather violent ways of dealing with crime, too.

CODE: Whilst now a supervillain, Taylor still has a code of honor, one that she will try, at all costs, not to break. She will not harm an innocent under almost any circumstance, she will always try and avoid death to her enemies, unless she believes they are so bad that it is the only way to get rid of them, and due to her still thinking of herself as a superhero, she will attempt to try and not harm superheroes she ends up fighting too hard, though she will certainly defend herself.
