Profile

Thunderhead is a pony deeply dedicated to the cause of restoring Equestria. A pegasus with the ability to shape local weather, she puts her innate talents to use in trying to restore damaged weather patterns. As her name implies, her specialties are lightning and thunder, though she also has talent with air pressure and wind. She can create local phenomena to work with local weather patterns, or she can conjure up lightning or shearing wind to defend herself with. Stern and uncompromising, she feels duty-bound to her task, although she knows that her area of focus is narrow. Still, it's her duty to do her part to repair that focus. She doesn't have much of a head for humor and tends to work too hard, but she is absolutely loyal to the task at hand, will fight to the death to defend her home, and practically worships Celestia. Anyone who threatens any of those things ought to be prepared to tank a faceful of angry pegasus.

Duty-Bound
Thunderhead takes her duties very seriously. She takes them so seriously, in fact, that she occasionally needs to be told not to take them so seriously, because she'll throw herself at them to her detriment. She tends not to understand things like slapstick humor, or the point of taking it easy. She works hard and does hard work. In a way, it's all she knows, and she sometimes has a little trouble adjusting to a more carefree way of life.
Look, Ma, No Hands
Like all ponies of her world, Thunderhead has no hands. To manipulate objects, she uses her flexible hooves and exerts extremely fine control of wind and air pressure. This is not fool-proof, though, and some things are just meant to be used with fingers and thumbs. Fine motor control is possible, but it's a delicate process that can't be done under pressure or without sufficient time to work at the problem. (And Thunderhead often lacks the patience...)
Proud
Thunderhead is almost incapable of declining a challenge issued to her person, or issued to Celestia. In the first instance, she is a proud pony, who takes pride in her work and her limited role in helping to restore Equestria. In the latter, it plays into her hero worship of Celestia, and she'll react to almost any slight against Celestia as a direct provocation. Needless to say, this could put her into dangerous situations.
Sun Worship
After Celestia's brave stand against Discord, she won the respect of many ponies. Few of them respect her quite as ardently as Thunderhead. The lightning pony will suffer no slight against Celestia's honor, nor any threat to the Alicorn of the Sun. Thunderhead will eagerly throw herself into harm's way if it means sparing her glorious leader, and in this sense, she could very easily be manipulated.
Quit Horsing Around
Sometimes, it's tough to live in a human-sized world. Ponies are definitely not human-sized, and sometimes have difficulty getting around or manipulating objects in places that aren't specifically designed for them. Thunderhead is larger than most ponies, but she's still a bit smaller than Celestia, and so occupies a kind of aggravating limbo between size brackets, but this is more of an inconvenience than an actual problem.
