Zelda is the young ruler of the land of Hyrule. Despite her age, she has proven a capable stateswoman and leader of her people, in addition to serving as the protector of what is known as the Sacred Realm, in her world. She is the bearer of the Triforce of Wisdom, one of three pieces that form the whole artifact, which was left behind when the Goddesses who created Hyrule departed for the heavens. Hyrule is recovering from the attack made by the Twili, though they proved to be nothing more than pawns of Ganondorf, the holder of the Triforce of Power, who was banished to the Twili's dimension for high treason. With the restoration of the Twili's rightful leader and Ganondorf's defeat at the hands of Link, the holder of the Triforce of Courage, peace now exists between the two seperate and mirrored dimensions. A very intelligent and skilled mage in her own right, Zelda has also undertaken archery, fencing, and horseback riding as one would expect from nobility and for use practically. She has also been trained by Sheikah scouts and assassins, who serve as the Royal Family's bodyguards, and she often uses magic to pose as one should she be required to move incognito beyond the walls of her castle. An alliance with the Union, after unifying, seemed more than practical to Zelda, especially considering the fragile state of her world.
MENTAL FEEDBACK: A drawback to Zelda's high psychic sensitivity is her sensitivity to powerful magical and/or psychic feedback. Powerful emotions, magics and psychic bursts of power can cause crippling pain and literally leave Zelda on her knees and powerless. Depending on the severity, this can last minutes or even days.
DUTY TO ONE'S KINGDOM: Zelda, while an ally of the Union, will still hold her position as ruler of Hyrule as a more urgent priority. While an important alliance for her kingdom, if her people are threatened, she will not risk a move which would put them in danger, even if it might be contrary to what Union policy dictates.
DUTY TO ONE'S PEOPLE: Zelda is not a mindless politician or an uncaring leader. As high as her station may be, she cares a a great deal for her subjects, making a point to appear in public as often as her schedule allows. In fact, given the opportunity, she would gladly put herself in harm's way for them, regardless of how 'insignificant' society deems a single, lowly commoner.
