{{Poses
|Poses=:'''{{#var:1100|Leyanne Mace (1100)}} has posed:'''
Leyanne has been missing a long time now. The last thing anyone heard from her, she was headed to Lumiere to investigate... well, she wasn't really clear on what she's investigating, beyond the fact that it's something to do with 'freaky dreams'. It's now apparent that she is trapped there, and needs an anchor to her life to remind her who she really is.

As people arrive in the parking lot, the bike shop looks forlorn, showing all the signs of somewhere that has been abandoned mid-way through multiple jobs. Through the glass of the door, mail is visible piling up in the hallway.

:'''{{#var:457|Neuroi Girl (457)}} has posed:'''
Although they haven't spent a lot of time together, the warrior-mouse has won many points with the littlest Neuroi, Evangeline. So, when it seemed that Leyanne had been missing for a long while, she made her way to the now abandoned shop. She floats up to the door, her featureless face peering through the glass. "...hello...anyone home...?" she asks in her quiet voice. Those with radios nearby would hear it over their radio as well. Of course she knows that Leyanne is trapped in that horrible world, but she can always hope that her friend is somehow here instead of there.

:'''{{#var:774|Dorian Pavus (774)}} has posed:'''
''('Really, Leyanne... why do you have to live where it's so bloody '''COLD'''?!)''

Dorian does NOT like the cold. AT ALL. Nonetheless, he's here in Alaska, at Tiny's shop. He's arrived via... well, it's not initially clear WHAT the thing is. It looks like an elephant, with the arms of a gorilla, the head of a tapir, and horns somewhere between a deer and a ram. It really is a weird-looking thing. But the cold doesn't seem to be affecting it much, so there's that. He slides off the back of the creature -- it's a bit taller than a horse, so he's a bit higher off the ground -- and finds a place to tie it so it doesn't wander off.

Evangeline's words, radio or heard, get a shake of his head. "I'm afraid she's not," he confirms. "But that's why we're here, to get her out." His voice is softer than it is normally, and he's seeming a lot less proud and snarky than usual. Not to mention he looks like he hasn't slept properly in weeks. He'll try to door -- is it locked? If so, they'll need to find another way in.

:'''{{#var:974|Carna (974)}} has posed:'''
Leyanne Mace isn't someone that Enark knows well. She's not someone that Carna knows (or at least remembers) at all. But she's one of the missing, and regardless of personal connections, that makes her worth saving. In the process of tracking down the identities of all the known missing Elites, Leyanne's name was added to the list, which some like the Paladins already had. Now two dead people arrive at an abandoned shop that looks like, with a few extra layers of dust and decay, and some ancient blood stains, it could fit right into Lumiere.

There's even a ghost or something floating around outside! And also Dorian, and we all know about how he is with dead things. "Hello, everyone." Enark returns the greeting as he and a woman in attire that could best be described as gothic steampunk approach from behind. "I assume we are all searching for Lady Mace. Does anyone have a key--"

Carna raises a big sword made of solidified blood that she got from somewhere!? "I will create an entrance. Time is of the essence."

    Enark says, "Please don--"

    *SMASH*

    "--'t."

:'''{{#var:1100|Leyanne Mace (1100)}} has posed:'''
When Evangeline asks if anyone's there... her combat bike's engine growls into life, its headlights flaring into life and illuminating Dorian and Evangeline brightly. After a moment, the lights dim. 'Negative.' An electronic voice croaks out from the motorcycle. One of Scrat's spotlights shines on Carna as she approaches. 'Gunnery-Sergeant Mace has not been seen for over two weeks. Unit Skrat is worried. Are you her friends? Unit Skrat can- nevermind.'

The glass in the door shatters easily. Moments later, the burglar's alarm starts to sound, only to be rapidly silenced with a chirp from the combat bike. .

'Unit Skrat has cancelled the alarm. Please ensure to secure the building upon egress.' The machine pauses. 'Please bring my rider back. Unit Skrat is a cavalry charger. Without cavalry to ride Unit Skrat, Unit Skrat has no purpose.'

Peering through the shattered door, one can see her torpedo boat, half-way through repairs from his last engagement. There's the smell of old wood glue and sawdust.

:'''{{#var:457|Neuroi Girl (457)}} has posed:'''
Evangeline turns when the other approach. She looks curiously at the creature that Dorian rode here, then headtilts as Carna raises that sword. She floats back just a bit before the sword is swung, and once the alarm is off she floats her way inside. "...what sort of things are we looking for...?" she asks softly as she floats over and gives Skrat a little pat like one might a dog. "...do not worry, Unit Skrat...we will find her...and bring her back..."

Evangeline then starts scanning. She has many sensors that might ping something. Radar, infrared, magic-detection, and of course good old normal sight. And any with similar senses would likely be able to tell that Eva is not a ghost or spirit. She would be much more consistent with a crystal and/or robot. As she starts looking, she asks the others in her quiet voice, "...how do you all know Tiny..?"

:'''{{#var:774|Dorian Pavus (774)}} has posed:'''
Dorian starts when the bike revs to life, turning to look in the direction of the headlights. That was probably not wise, since he has to raise a hand to shade his eyes. When the bike doesn't appear to be hostile, he's less jumpy. And then it... seems to SPEAK?! Dorian blinks. "...A talking motorcycle. Hardly the strangest thing I've seen," he remarks. "Well, you see," he begins, "that's because she..."

SMASH! goes the glass in the door.

Dorian shakes his head. "I'm sorry about that," he offers, in the bike's direction. And when it silences the alarm, he nods. "Thank you." Here he'll explain, "Leyanne is trapped in... some sort of dream prison. I was trapped there too, until recently. We're here trying to find something of import that we could use to rescue her -- is there something here that's very important to her?"

He realizes that this 'Skrat', since it can talk and seems to have a decent amount of intelligence, can probably tell them more. And possibly guide them to an appropriate anchor to save her.

Dorian admits to Evangline, "Not terribly well, unfortunately. I know she's something of a thrill-seeker, seemed to like doing dangerous things for fun. Oh yes, and didn't like being called a 'rat'. That and she seemed to be being sponsored by... I believe she said an energy drink company?"

:'''{{#var:974|Carna (974)}} has posed:'''
Carna looks to Enark briefly, crimson eyes taking in his pensive expression as the alarm starts and then stops. Then she looks to the talking machine. "...I assume I have offended. I apologize for my error." She is already more polite than oldCarna was, even if still impulsive, rash, and overly-direct in her methods. "I do not know her. But she is among the missing, and having one's memories and identity stolen is not something I will permit. We have successfully retrieved three already. There is no reason not to think that we can retrieve her as well, no matter the obstacles."

Enark perks up a bit at this attitude. As saddened as he is for the Carna he knew to be gone, this Carna doesn't act like a barely-under-control monster. "Yes! Quite right! I would be pleased to get to know Lady Mace better after all this, but for the time being, the safe rescue of her and the others is our objective. And for that, we require an item of personal value or long term exposure, as Sir Pavus says." He turns to look towards the not-a-ghost that the comparison with a ghost was only made with due to the floating, and says, "I am Enark, of the Blue Scholars. This is Lady Carna. What might your name be?"

:'''{{#var:1100|Leyanne Mace (1100)}} has posed:'''
Evangeline's pat makes the bike rumble quietly, sounding pleased. 'Thank you.' Skrat considers Carna's words for a few moments. 'Offended? Negative. Unit Skrat is not offended. Just requests the premises be secured upon departure.' He then turns a spotlight on Dorian. 'Many things. She has lots of mementos from home here... if you are venturing into the shop, Unit Skrat can follow you with a recon drone to assist?'

A panel on the back of the bike opens, deploying a small quadcopter to follow them.

:'''{{#var:457|Neuroi Girl (457)}} has posed:'''
The little Neuroi turns toward Dorian as he speaks of Leyanne, though shows little in the way of reactions except a slight cant of her head. "...are rats bad...?" she asks. When Enark introduces himself and Carna, she gives a polite bow at the waist politely as one might expect of someone from the orient. "...it is nice to meet both of you...I am Evangeline...part of the 501st Joint Fighter Wing..." she says.

Evangeline gives Skrat a bit more attention before she starts toward the shop. She stops at the boat that Leyanne had used in several fleet actions with the Hikari Defense Force and tilts her head. "...would this work...?" she asks the others, reaching out to touch the damage patrol boat in the process. "...she battled great dangers in this boat...and I think she is quite fond of it..."

:'''{{#var:774|Dorian Pavus (774)}} has posed:'''
Dorian looks at Enark. He recognizes him from... somewhere. ...Oh! Of course! The Blue Scholars. The dream-vision, the memories of the Blue Scholar woman. He was the one who... that's right, he saved that woman whose memories he'd seen. He's bundled up, otherwise Enark might notice Dorian's still wearing that ring on his little finger. He hasn't forgotten his promise, and he intends to keep it.

He nods to Skrat's mention of following with a drone. "That could be useful," he agrees. Oh right. He does need to give a name, at least to Skrat. "My name is Dorian Pavus," he offers. And, to Skrat in specific, "Thank you for helping us." He'll go on into the shop now, into the front room, and look around. Evangeline seems to have found something, though, so he heads over to wherever she is.

Her question of rats gets a tilt of his head. "There's a difference between mice and rats, and... well, I believe it's an insult in her world. As closely as I can reason, it's much like calling a wolf 'dog', or a tiger 'cat'."

:'''{{#var:974|Carna (974)}} has posed:'''
Carna nods to Skrat, whom she will definitely remember the name of five minutes from now. Definitely. Crap, she's already forgotten. Damn her swiss-chessy memory! "As you say." she replies to the request to secure the shop upon their departure as she steps through the opening she made, broken glass crunching under foot.

Enark takes the time to bow to Evangeline. "A pleasure to meet you, Lady Evangeline." He steps in after Carna, a bit more cautious about the broken glass than she is. "Hm? Ah, you can do that? Splendid! Like Sir Staren! Your aid in navigating this establishment so that no further harm comes to it would be most helpful. Thank you, err... Skrat. ...Is there a title you would like to be called by?" he asks as Carna has already begun looking around. She learned from obtaining Tamamo's anchor not to touch any of this, but she is not shy to peek into every nook and cranny.

Enark nods to Dorian and says, "There was a weasel of man obstructing us from retrieving your family crest, you know. Lady Carna managed to... 'Convince' him to give it up, but he was terribly stubborn. I hope that it remains safely in your care from now on." He then moves to examine what Evangeline is looking at. "My word. A whole boat in here? I thought she mostly worked on... Motorbikes and what not. It seems her skills are more varied than I initially assumed. Especially if she also engaged in naval battles."

:'''{{#var:1100|Leyanne Mace (1100)}} has posed:'''
Divided from the bike shop by a partition wall with a large glass window, The Boat-House is the largest room of the shop, and the one with the least space to move around in. The majority of the room is taken up by the FMS Leeroy Jenkins, Tiny's heavily modified 80-ft Elco PT boat currently up on stands in the middle of the room.
Hanging from the walls, and the mezzanine ceiling, one will find a wide variety of tools, most of them unique to working on wood-hull boats.
The air smells of varnishes and oils, with overtones of cordite and explosives from Leeroy's weapons. During the day, faintly rose light is provided by the huge windows, fitted with tinted glass to provide a closer approximation of Martian sunlight, and LED light panels line the ceiling for night-time lighting.

'Leeroy would be impractically large to transport.' Skrat reports, through the drone. 'However, these are his keys.' He shines a light on the keys. 'There are other possible items that have great meaning and significance for Gunnery-Sergeant Mace. Unit Skrat has a shortlist of suggestions?' At Dorian's comment, the quadcopter turns to face him. 'To shine light on her disliking of being called a rat, early in the war, the rats and mice fought the Plutukarians and Catatonians together. But when the Plutukarians had almost finished their conquest, most of the rats turned traitor. Several Martian cities were damaged, many Martians died. Even now, with several rats in the MFF, it is something of an insult.'

THe drone turns to Enark and Carna. 'Unit Skrat is willing to assist. While Gunnery-Sergeant Mace is not here... Unit Skrat has no purpose. He feels... lost. You are assisting Unit Skrat's rider. It is his duty to assist you in every way he can.'

:'''{{#var:457|Neuroi Girl (457)}} has posed:'''
Evangeline nods lightly at Enark. "...a pleasure to meet you as well..." she says, her voice seeming to come from a red plastic watch around her right arm. She looks over as Skrat points out the keys, then floats over toward them. She reaches out, and fingers emerge from the ends of her sleeve-like arms. She picks up the keys carefully, then looks toward the Skrat drone. "...please...if you have suggestions for other items she is fond of...it would be helpful..." she says, then floats upward to look at some of the tools and things hanging from the roof. "...I think...she also likes firearms...perhaps she has a favorite weapon..?"

:'''{{#var:774|Dorian Pavus (774)}} has posed:'''
Dorian gives a slightly embarrassed look when Enark mentions the location his family crest was found. "Well... after I left Tevinter, I didn't get to take any traveling money with me," he explains. "So I had to sell it. I wasn't foreseeing the need for it. But I thank you for returning it," he says gratefully, with a bow of his head. Besides that's one less thing the Inquisitor would feel the need to do to help everyone -- he wouldn't have the people of Thedas accusing him of using the Inquisitor's influence for his own gain.

He pauses a moment. "...Enark. Do you, perchance, happen to know a woman by the name of Aicila? Or did you at one time?"

Skrat speaks, and Dorian listens. "Ah. Yes. That would likely make being called a rat rather upsetting for her," he agrees, in what is probably a massive understatement. However, he smiles when Skrat expresses feeling lost. "Not to worry, Skrat. We're working on helping all of those that have been trapped there, including her," he reassures. "I was rescued, and as far as I'm aware, there's nothing stopping us from making a second incursion into the place to rescue more people."

Evangeline's suggestion of a favorite weapon gets a nod from Dorian. "That's not a bad idea. It could also be utilized if that... face-in-the-wall Coeus accosts us again. It may not damage him much, but it might be certain to speak of our displeasure with him..."

:'''{{#var:974|Carna (974)}} has posed:'''
Carna doesn't have the empathizing skill to intuit how property might be valuable so is just trying to learn from everyone else as she crouches down to examine a wrench-looking thing. "Weapons are useful. It can not hurt to have more. Though I do not know if an item of personal value is of greater significance in harming those beings than one without. If that Coeus exists within the walls, unless we plan to destroy all the walls, we should be seeking a core that we can destroy."

Enark shrugs it off. "There is no task too great or too trivial to rescue those in need." He pauses in his examination of the boat to hear the story about rats and mice. It is still odd to him. In his time, though they'd made it to Mars, humans never successfully colonized it. Too many other events occurred, destroying the space program, to continue. To hear about a war on Mars between aliens, not even humans vs. aliens... It's a sharp reminder of just how vast and different the Multiverse is. It's sometimes hard to forget when he keeps going back to Lumiere, where he was imprisoned for so long.

It's enough to make him think more and more that he'd like to leave Lumiere behind for good.

"Well, Skrat, a short list of suggestions sounds like a good start. You must know Lady Mace better than any of us."

He pauses at Dorian's mention of a name. Enark tries to wrack his memory. "Aicila... Aicila... Perhaps? Was this someone I would have met recently? I have only interacting with people for the past three years. Less than three, really. Before that I spent a very long time alone with Wilson, a mimic-recliner I made. Where do you know the name from?"

:'''{{#var:1100|Leyanne Mace (1100)}} has posed:'''
'Unit Skrat suggests several items.' The AI responds. 'She has a sample of dirt from the place where she was injured. Additionally, there is the baseball bat she used during the 2003 Sol Series baseball tournament, and her death certificate from when she was injured - for the augmentations she received, she had to be registered legally dead. There is also the dogtag of Colonel Hunter, one of Leyanne's.. first romantic partners. She was killed ten years ago during the liberation of Marineris Valley. An option may also be the spare beret... Unit Skrat theorises the dirt, tag, and beret may be good options because of their connection to Mars. I myself may also represent the same thing... she also has spare cybernetic arms in storage.'

When the weapon is mentioned, Skrat bleeps 'Mathilda may also be an option. Mathilda is a rotary gatling cannon, and her general-purpose weapon.'

:'''{{#var:457|Neuroi Girl (457)}} has posed:'''
Evangeline is all too familiar with how someone can be judge as a race by the actions of others of your race. She dealt with that for a long while when she first defected. Then a thought strikes her...will she be known among her own people as someone who is a 'rat'? Even though her goal was to help her people survive?

Outwardly there is no sign of her internal conversation, but as the thought crosses her mind she murmurs, "...am I a...rat..?" The question is even softer than her normal speech, and may be missed by someone who has no radio or is simply not paying much attention to her. In any case, the little Neuroi adds a few moments later, "...we should...take all of them...our chances are greater with more shots to fire..." she says, starting her search for the various items. "...ah...I don't think most weapons' effectiveness is improved with how valued it is by its owner..."

:'''{{#var:774|Dorian Pavus (774)}} has posed:'''
Dorian nods to Carna's observations about a 'core' to destroy Coeus. "That's likely," he agrees. "He's likely just able to use the walls as a point to manifest from -- as if the city itself were his body -- as if he could choose which part of it to move, the same way you or I might move a limb."

Enark's mention of a recent person, though? "I... get the feeling no. She was a Blue Scholar as well, I believe. It may have been... before." He doesn't say 'before' what. "But if you've the time at some point, I would like to talk to you about what you know about the Blue Scholars. It may be useful in... a personal quest of mine. It can wait until after we've rescued everyone from that prison, of course."

He listens to Skrat's words, of the various things that could be used as an anchor. "My vote goes for the dogtags," he replies. "I believe a sharp shock may force the memories of her past to come back. Particularly if it's an unpleasant one -- I assume being reminded of a dead loved one, in the situation she's in, would be a shock. I don't want her to suffer the same uncertainty I did."

As much as Dorian hates how his country works, he still loves his country, AND his family -- particularly his father -- very much. So his memories of his family weren't all negative. He figures that, if much of the memories they can bring to the surface for Leyanne are sad, that it might force her memories to come back faster, and for her to act more quickly, more decisively.

"Or we could do that," Dorian replies, to Evangeline's suggestion of taking them all. As for weapons' effectiveness? "It's possible they could, but only under very specific circumstances -- an actual spiritual connection with the weapon, for instance. I have my doubts that these are those circumstances."

:'''{{#var:974|Carna (974)}} has posed:'''
Enark is thoughtful for a moment, the bike's knowledge of Leyanne, and the clear feelings of wanting her back, and then says, "Skrat, would you care to come with us? If not as Lady Mace's anchor, then as... A friend? One who is concerned for her? We would welcome you in the rescue attempt." He moves to reassure Evangeline that she is not a rat. "You look nothing like a rat, Lady Evangeline. And yes, I suppose we could simply bring them all. Who can know what is most treasured in someone's heart? I would not wish for our rescue efforts to fail because we assumed incorrectly."

He then practically chokes on his tongue as Dorian mentions this Aicila was a Blue Scholar too. "Wh-what? I, err... Yes, let us discuss this another time in greater depth. I am very curious how you would know of another Blue Scholar, and from where." Already thoughts spin through his head. Hopes that maybe there were other survivors somewhere. That maybe he is not the last. This, combined with fears of much less palatable prospects. He has nine billion years of memories to sift through for a single name. Multiple bouts of madness that consumed him for millennia, just to spare his true mind total destruction in the grip of despair.

But he desperately wants answers. ...And they will have to wait until he has rescued those he had committed himself to rescuing.

:'''{{#var:1100|Leyanne Mace (1100)}} has posed:'''
Skrat audibly thinks a moment, looking blankly between Dorian, Carna, and Enark as they discuss. 'Collecting everything may be an option, but her armour, arm, and Mathilda are very bulky. Combined, taking all significant items would be... approximately nine hundred and eight point six two three kilos. Unit Skrat suggests no more than three items, and thinks there is good sense to Dorian's words. Gunnery-Sergeant Mace still speaks fondly of Colonel Hunter on occasion. Hunter is believed to be Gunnery Sergeant Mace's first actual love.'

At Enark's request, Skrat pauses again, and then nods. 'Unit Skrat will do what is required. He will gladly come with you, but... please return anything taken, if possible. They are all parts of Leyanne's history. Losing them for good would pain her greatly.'

:'''{{#var:457|Neuroi Girl (457)}} has posed:'''
As it seems their options are limited to only three items, Evangeline tilts her head lightly. "...then...we should take the items you suggested, Unit Skrat..." she says, looking up at the drone overhead. "...and of course we will return everything..."

All the talk of Blue Scholars has Evangeline curious, so she floats over toward Enark. "...what does it mean to be a Blue Scholar..?" she asks, hands held in front of her politely. "...it sounds like it is imporant..." She pauses a moment, then adds, "...and...what is this cage that Leyanne is stuck in..?"

:'''{{#var:774|Dorian Pavus (774)}} has posed:'''
Dorian nods to Enark's flustered sounding words. "I think that would be a good idea," he agrees. He'll also give his personal radio frequency to Enark, for use whenever he's free for that talk.

Skrat's words get a nod. "I would hope that would give her a shock. Sadness might be what shakes her out of it," he notes. "Though it wouldn't hurt to have a couple of small things. And... I do rather think you'd like to see her again."

Evangeline's question gets a smile. "They are -- were -- a group of scholarly sorts in Lumiere," he explains. "Though I'm not entirely sure what they did. It seems to have been... a long time ago."

:'''{{#var:974|Carna (974)}} has posed:'''
Carna pauses in the process of trying to scoop up as much as she can fit in her arms at the protest. FINE. I GUESS. She puts it all down and just selects the three most meaningful items as-identified, or at least takes one and leaves the other two for the others. She has super strength, but she doesn't have super arms. "My understanding is that they will be given to Leyanne Mace as part of rescuing her. She will return them herself when she comes back here with them in her possession." She is also still not quite cognizant of a lot of Lumiere things. Not anymore. So she takes Dorian's word for it.

Enark scratches his cheek. "Yes, not to worry. A matter for another time. I would be glad to explain to you at length. The cage is... Some sort of pocket dimension, we believe. Though the fact that it is located within Escher is peculiar. It is almost like the tower was turned inside out, becoming the outside on the inside. Though since the prison relies upon dreams and memories, I do not see why it would--" he pauses. His eyes widening, as if just realizing something. But he shuts his yap, perhaps not willing, for once, to toss out theories in the wrong situations the moment they pop into his head.

"For now, Lady Mace and the others come first." Once everyone is out of the shop, Skrat included, with the items they are bringing with them, he will try to repair the damages to the window. A favored weapons, a reminder of a first love, earth from a place where one shed blood, an arm of mechanical might... All sorts of things they could choose from, and they had to choose just three and hope they were strong enough. But if nothing else... Maybe Skrat could help. The words of a friend.

:'''{{#var:1100|Leyanne Mace (1100)}} has posed:'''
Skrat's drone returns to its cradle, which closes up behind it. He rumbles quietly. 'If you require transport, Unit Skrat can carry you'. A pause, as if the machine is struggling to come up with the words for a concept it is not familiar with. 'Unit Skrat is grateful for you letting him come with you, even though he is not one of the firm anchoring items. Unit Skrat will follow you.'

Privately, to Evangeline, Skrat opens a radio link'Unit Skrat does not think you are a rat. Gunnery-Sergeant Mace has told me what little she knows of your story. We are both of the belief your people /may/ consider you one, at present at least, that assessment is... inaccurate. Unit Skrat hopes history will prove you correct.'

It's relatively easy to find materials to make at least a temporary fix; there's plywood and steel that could patch up the hole quite securely.

|Profile=A proud, and somewhat oversized Martian mouse, Leyanne Mace, or Tiny as she prefers to be known, is a, cheerful optimist, most of the time. Blown up during a battle on Mars, she was has been extensively rebuilt with cybernetic parts; she is 45% augmented, by function, and 63% by mass. Confident and brash, the mouse considers it the role of those given a second chance at life with cybernetics to protect others, even (or especially) when it puts them at risk. It has been noted that she appears to have little to no fear. She's returned to the multiverse after a few years absence 'finding herself' and helping her homeworld during the collapse of the superpowers and the chaos that resulted. Mars is healed, she's healed, and she's ready to face the Multiverse once again… but is the multiverse ready for Mace?
|Defining=Built Tough/Iron Left: Leyanne's cybernetics are heavy-built military-specification models. She has greatly increased strength, stamina and durability compared to the average Martian, and when she gets hurt in combat, it's a relatively simple matter to install replacements. The most obvious augment is her left arm - which can deliver extremely rapid punches or, alternatively, slow-crushing force and an (almost) unbreakable grip. Other important implants are mentioned below.

Antennae: The trademark sign of a Martian across many universes. Affectionately known as her 'deelieboppers', Leyanne's antennae are essential sensory apparatus for the mouse, enabling her to sense electromagnetic fields, as well as amplifying her senses of smell and hearing to almost magic-seeming levels.
|Significant=Multi-Mode Optic: Tiny's left eye is, like the rest of her hardware, the latest and greatest Mars can build. As well as having up to 4x zoom, it can see in the visual, infrared and ultraviolet bands. It can also be removed and transmit back to Leyanne remotely, at reduced resolution so long as she remains within a few hundred metres.

Severe augmentation: Significant parts of Leyanne's body have been replaced. Taken as a package, her cybernetics enable Leyanne to survive in hazardous conditions. Anaerobic environments can be survived in the short term thanks to a built-in rebreather, and harsh wilderness, biohazardous, or toxic environments in the long term due to a suite of filters and heaters. Her skeletal system has also been plated with a toughened alloy to protect her internal organs, granting her increased resistance to lethal damage.

Expert Rider: Leyanne is very, very good with motorcycles, from dirtbikes to large combat cycles. She's skilled at negotiating rough terrain on two (or three) wheels, and she can fight from the saddle using onboard weapons or (one handed) ranged and melee weapons. She's also capable of performing bike tricks and feats of precision riding.

Bike Builder, Tuner, Fixer & Bodger: Leyanne runs a custom motorcycle shop in Hoonah, Alaska. She can custom-build lean, fast street cruisers, or durable, weapon-mounted combat bikes while there.. Outside of a shop she can repair and tune most modern vehicles though the quality of repairs is related to the quality of her tools; a bodge job of spit and sellotape won't last as long as decent radiator sealant, for example.
|Minor=Small Arms: Leyanne likes guns, and likes to keep herself proficient in their use. She can operate mundane-type modern small arms at a basic level and variety of proficiency you'd expect a standard soldier to have.

Heavy Weapons Mouse: Leyanne can usually conveniently deploy with one heavy weapon, of a high-caliber, high-explosive, or extremely-rapid-fire specialization. Her enhanced strength enables her to carry even crew-served heavy weapons.

Niche Famous: Leyanne is fairly well-known in a tiny community of extreme sports fans. She could be compared perhaps to Ken Block or Johnny Knoxville - partially famous for the crazy things she does, and partially famous for the things she's survived when it all goes wrong.

Datajack: Leyanne has a datajack just below and in front of her left ear. She can use it to plug into many standardised computer interfaces directly with full read-write capability. For now she can only access data that's unsecured or she's got the access details for (such as any passwords), as she has no hacking skills -- yet!

I'm a pilot, I can fly: Leyanne has not forgotten how to pilot, and indeed has expanded her skills. She carries the equivalent of a Commercial Pilot's Licence, allowed to carry passengers. She's rated in several types of small air and spacecraft, with instrument, visual and micrometeoroid ratings. She is NOT however rated to fly larger spacecraft.

FMS Leeroy Jenkins: Tiny has an 80-ft Elco PT boat, which she uses for naval combat, and just for fun. Kitted out with modernised weapons, including a 40mm bofors gun, Leeroy is crewed either by fellow elites, or Leyanne's old friends from back in London.
|Disadvantages=Hold my Beer <Trouble>: Leyanne likes to think of herself as pretty hardcore. It's very easy to coax her into some stupid stunt simply by telling her how awesome it would be. Sometimes, the simple shape of a curved roof can get her thinking about how cool it would be to skateboard across the city skylines. The crazier and more dangerous it is, the more likely she is to do it. A natural adrenaline junkie, her sabbatical into the world of extreme sports and the fact that she's extremely durable conspire against rational sanity and convince her that, even if it's not a good idea, it'll look awesome even if it goes wrong. Especially if it goes wrong. If there's a camera involved - even a security camera - it's pretty much certain the mouse is gonna do something stupid

Vulnerable Antennae <Significant>: Leyanne's antennae are essentially extensions of her brain, and thus an obvious weakness. They are covered in a tough but flexible keratin derivative, capable of protecting them against vacuum and minor impacts. Though they can be re-grown, they are extremely sensitive, and covering them limits at least one, if not three of Leyanne's senses. Removing or seriously damaging one or both is likely to (at least temporarily) stun Leyanne, and will give her lingering disadvantages even after recovering from the initial pain. It'll take her at least a week to re-grow a damaged antenna, and at least twice that to regrow both.

Weak to EMP <Significant>: Leyanne is extremely reliant on her cybernetics. While her core functions are shielded, many of her systems, such as her leg servos, eye and arm, can be shut down with an electro-magnetic pulse, or certain types of lightning magic. A strong enough EMP could also render her completely unconscious.

I AM NOT VERMIN! <Significant>: Leyanne is a mouse, and a proud mouse at that. She hates, absolutely hates being called a rat. It is a sure-fire way to raise her ire, no matter how good a friend you might be. Implying she is vermin, or should be exterminated will probably piss her off too, as will implications that she - or her people - should be prey.

Neural Connection <Significant>: Leyanne's datajack is a two-way data transfer system - bursts of electric current or malicious data could be sent down it, directly into her central nervous system. In theory, it could also be used to hack her brain itself.

Abrasive <Significant>: Leyanne isn't the easiest person to get along with. Highly opinionated and not afraid to voice it, cocky, loud and brash, with an opinion about anything and everything - no matter how little she knows about the subject, Leyanne sometimes rubs people up the wrong way. She is attempting to work on this

Doesn't take failure <Minor>: Leyanne really doesn't do well when she fails a mission given to her. It often sends her into a fugue state, second-guessing her own decisions. She'll snap out of it in a day or two, or with a good pep talk from someone she respects.

Low Bridge <Minor>: Leyanne is unusually tall, even for a low-gravity species. She forgets to duck, and is forever banging her head on door frames, low ceilings, etc.

Heavy Metal Mouse <Minor>: Leyanne is a lot heavier than she looks. Lighter furniture may not support her, and it takes a long time to explain the extent of her augments to TSA agents. She also often has to pay double fares for air and space travel.

Unusual Blood Type <Minor>: While their biology and DNA show a clear Terran origin, the Martians have diverged from the standard' phenotype of a mouse. As a consequence, any blood transfusions or organ transplants MUST come from Martian or cloned stock.
|Profile=A proud Martian, Leyanne looks similar to 'anthropomorphic' mice, like to those you'd find on some variations of Earth -- though her green antennae and 7ft6" height detract from the classic image of a mouse. An eternal optimist even after the war she's been through, Leyanne really believes that she can free her home, and hates repression in all its forms. Blown up during a battle on Mars, she has been extensively rebuilt with cybernetic parts, including but not limited to her left arm and left eye; as a result, electrical-based attacks aren't her favourite. Quick to anger, especially if innocents are threatened, Leyanne will often empty her 44 Magnum revolver at those who anger her before following up with her powerful left arm.
|Powers=Antennae: Leyanne's antennae are sensitive to wind currents, scents, and sound, granting her enhanced senses.

Cyborg: After being blown up by a land-mine, Leyanne was re-built with cybernetics; most of the left side of her body bears some form of augment or other. The most obvious of her cybernetic implants are her arm and eye, but she also has implants internally, including but not limited to her heart, kidneys and left lung - granting her increased endurance, resistance to toxins, and the ability to hold her breath or survive in a toxic atmosphere for much longer than humanly possible.

Cybernetic Eye: Leyanne's left eye can see in infra-red and low-light conditions, and also gives her the ability to zoom in up to 4x magnification.

Cybernetic Arm: Leyanne's left arm is extremely powerful, with hydraulic and pneumatic assist systems. Depending on which assist mode is active, she can punch superhumanly hard and fast, or alternately apply many tonnes of crushing force. It can also flex far beyond the normal natural limits.

Neural RAM: When her primary motor cortex was replaced with a cybernetic unit, high-speed random-access memory chips were also installed, enabling Leyanne to process trajectories and targeting data at high speeds.

Datajack: Leyanne has a datajack just below and in front of her left ear. She can use it to plug into many standardised computer interfaces directly with full read-write capability. For now she can only access data that's unsecured or she's got the access details for (such as any passwords), as she has no hacking skills -- yet!
|Skills=First Aid: During her time on Mars, Leyanne watched too many friends die on the battlefields when she could do nothing to save them. Shortly after unifying, she undertook an extensive first aid and triage course - combined with the fact that she builds and repairs motorcycles, this means that she can offer limited battlefield repairs and healing.

I'm A Pilot, I Can Fly: With help from K4-800M, Leyanne has gained a full Union pilot's license. She bought herself a HF-A05 Grendel fighter, which she calls Diema (see assets).

Spanner Jockey: Leyanne is somewhat naturally gifted as a mechanic. If it flies, floats, or drives, she can probably service it, and upgrade it, or build you something better. She's currently studying aerodynamics and gas turbine propulsion systems in her spare time with the intent to build a motorcycle that can breach the sound barrier.

Combat Rider: Leyanne is proficient in fighting from the saddle of a motorcycle with a variety of weapons, including but not limited to pistols, rifles, shotguns, and explosive-tipped cavalry lances.
|Assets=Arkadyne RD-44 Magnum: Leyanne carries an Arkadyne Military Systems RD-44 revolver chambered in 10.6mm T-rounds equivalent to .44 Remington Magnum. It can fire Hollow-point, armour piercing and high-explosive bullets as required.

Weapons Rack: Leyanne collects guns; if the situation demands it she will arm herself with shotguns, rifles, and grenade launchers to suppliment her RD-44. She doesn't own any 'special' weapons, beyond her RD-44.

Motorcycle Cavalry Steed: Leyanne owns a modified Harley Davidson. It has a lot of tricks built in, including a pair of optional 25mm cannons slung in place of panniers.

Diema: Leyanne's Quandry Industries HF-A05 Grendel Heavy Fighter is a large, three-engined transatmospheric fighter. It's not the fastest, nor the most agile thing that ever graced the spacelanes, but it does carry at least thirty milimetres of Chobbham-VII (codenamed "Enfield") composite armour, a pair of pulse-lasers in the nose and two Nobel-IV plasma cannons in the wings.
|NPCs=
|Disadvantages=Dammit, I'm Out: Leyanne's RD-44 only carries nine shots, leading to frequent reloading.

EMP: As a cyborg, lightning-based weaponry and electromagnetic pulses are dangerous to her. They won't kill her, but she'll definitely be hindered.

Not The Bike: Leyanne is very protective of her motorcycle. If it is stolen, she will do -anything- to get it back.

Antennae: Her antennae are sensitive to damage. She'll protect them as best she can if they're hurt, and damage to them will affect her senses; until they heal, her senses of smell and healing will be below average, and she'll lose the ability to sense wind currents. Things will also taste wrong until the damaged antenna(e) recover.

Quick Temper: Leyanne is quick to anger, especially if an innocent or Mars is threatened. It's quite hard to calm down a cyborg with what amounts to a jackhammer for a left arm...

Battleworn: Leyanne suffers from severe PTSD following the destruction of Annu. She occasionally has bouts of nightmares that affect her sleep and cause her to be more stressed out, and more prone to abuse certain substances.

Pushing Her Luck: The inner voice that tells Leyanne something is a stupid idea is a bit slow, usually happening about five seconds too late. She pushes her luck almost constantly. Sooner or later, it's going to bite her on the ass. When Leyanne does something crazy, there's a 25% chance of it all going wrong...

Abrasive: Leyanne Mace isn't the easiest person to get along with. Highly opinionated and not afraid to voice it, cocky, loud and brash, with an opinion about anything and everything - no matter how little she knows about the subject, Leyanne sometimes rubs people up the wrong way. Coupled with that an innate inability to know when she should shut up, it's a wonder Leyanne hasn't gotten herself killed by now. Her instructors in Martian Freedom Force Boot Camp wonder still to this day how Cadet Mace ever made it to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant, even in a Moto-Cavalry regiment...

Heavy Metal: With all of her cybernetics, Leyanne weighs a lot more than she should, massing just shy of 450lb. This can lead to issues with vehicles and soft ground. It also makes clearing check-in exceedingly difficult.

Feedback: Leyanne's datajack is a two-way data transfer system -- bursts of electric current or malicious data could be sent down it, directly into her central nervous system.

* Scar of the World-Slayer: A mark laid on all of those who participated in the Union's campaign to kill the Confederate Emperor, Viridian Sunrise, in the year A.U. 20. Though successful, the campaign resulted in the destruction of his inner universe and the countless beings within it. The mark takes the form of a sun-shaped birthmark on the bodies of each of those who were present that day.

Though not necessarily readily visible, it cannot be removed even if the individual should be obliterated and regenerated from component materials. It imposes upon the bearer a complete knowledge of every entity who died in the Union's crusade, from enemy soldiers down to newborn babes. Those who bear this mark will remember them always, from their names, to their faces, to their lives up to their deaths. This does not provide an opportunity to learn the skills of the deceased, though it does give the bearer an insight into the world and universe of Annu.
There's a scowl as she spots that she's not going to get her bike up there and she climbs off, engaging the security systems before making hte long climb up to the Caverns.
Looking around, she spreads her ears wide - listening for signs of trouble. "Mace here. All seems quiet at the Caverns so far." she says into her radio. "I'm going to take a look around before moving on."

:'''{{#var:522|Gaius Van Baelsar (522)}} has posed:'''
As Mace checks over the area around the steps and the area around, including upward. A dark figure steps out from what seems the shadows. His armored feet are oddly quiet against the rocks and grass. The black void eye-slots of his helm seem to look upon the anthromorphic mouses direction as she walks.

The crimson red on his body seems to be of some cloth-leather like material by appearance and the dark armor seems to absorb whatever light is in the area, beyond the gold trim. The gunblade on his backside easily detaches as he brings the weapon to bare. It his voice that will break the quiet of the air and the mist of the fog. A deep, calm commanding voice with a slight reverb from the helm itself. "You need not look no further."

It was the only warning Mace would have before a shot was fired from the very gunblade right for her direction...

:'''{{#var:154|Leyanne Mace (154)}} has posed:'''
Leyanne Mace snaps her head to look over at Gaius, her hand dropping to her hip - before the warning shot hits her armour. Taken by surprise, the mouse flails out of view as she goes down onto her back.
She snarls quietly as she picks herself back up.
"Something tells me the standard 'back off now' wouldn't work on you." She comments as she draws her RD-44 revolver. She's surprisingly quick on the draw; before most people will have time to notice she's drawn, she's fired - and she's on the move.

:'''{{#var:522|Gaius Van Baelsar (522)}} has posed:'''
Mace is indeed quick, Gaius will not deny her such a thing and the Multiverse continues to show its great deal of adversity. When then bullet is fired, Gaius moves with a slight bit of near inhuman mobility for cover. The bullet impacting a part of his armor, it can been seen almost absorbed in speed by the crimson red material, before ripping a section of it off.

The Imperial Legatus then comes around from where he was and with a quick turn to put himself out in the open, before moving to cover again, his left hand comes to bare with it curled into a few. A flicker of blue can be seen from the gauntlet as three blue plasma like shots are fired right for where Mace has gone for cover.

:'''{{#var:154|Leyanne Mace (154)}} has posed:'''
Leyanne Mace gets blasted out of her cover and burned a little by the plasma, snarling quietly. With her cover blown (literally), Mace sprints directly for the Imperial Legatus, the lights on her cybernetic arm changing from red to yellow with the hiss of priming pneumatics.
She kicks off a rock with her right leg, then much harder off the wall with her leg - cocking back her fist to deliver a flying sucker-punch at Gaius' face. There's another pneumatic hiss as she swings her fist, jets of condensation spurting from her elbow and shoulder as the booster systems in her arm kick in.
She crouches on landing and attempts to spring back away from the Black Wolf, hoping to get out of melee range

:'''{{#var:522|Gaius Van Baelsar (522)}} has posed:'''
The fist connects into the Legatus' armored face. There was a spark of blue at the heavy clash, but yet no dent could be seen in the strange design of a full face helm. Gaius moves a bit with the blow, but it is when Mace goes to pull away, she may find herself in trouble.

As she springs back, the Legatus pushes off with a great deal of strength with a blue flicker of light around his boots. The gunblade is already stored away on his backside and his own fist comes to bare at the female mouse.

The first blow comes down and slightly to the side, it is then followed up quickly by an upper cut with his other fist, before a rotation of his body with his sword coming to bare with a great deal of speed and shot fired from the gunblade itself. "You fight with strength and speed. I shall not deny this of you."

:'''{{#var:154|Leyanne Mace (154)}} has posed:'''
Leyanne Mace takes the first hit to the side of the head without really even seeing it coming. She's a fast thinker, though, and even before she's fully finished recoiling from the haymaker, her right arm's moving to block the uppercut, and she manages to grab the rising punch - though Gaius' trained arm will no doubt be able to feel one of the finger-bones in the mouse's organic hand give way under the impact before she can fully compensate for it.
She's almost totally unprepared for the gunblade strike, however - it takes her full in the chest. There's a spark from her armour and she's blown back a distance, slamming into the wall and dropping to the floor. She spits out some slightly purple-tinted blood as she picks herself up from the floor, giving a nod of approval.
Not too bad yourself." She comments as she moves in again, aiming to grab that gunblade with her cybernetic hand and deny its use for a few moments. Then she slams her head into his helmet again, not thinking about the spiked, metal nature of it for a moment. Then she lets go of the blade and swings her metal fist in towards his abdomen in a vicious belly-blow. Whether it connects or not, she sweeps her tail out to try and take Gaius' legs out from under him - and if he's quick enough, it might be easy for him to grab the appendage and use it against her!

:'''{{#var:522|Gaius Van Baelsar (522)}} has posed:'''
The Gunblade is taken a hold of and it catches him slightly off guard. The impact to the helm staggers him, enough for the impact to the stomach and then the follow up. This leads him off balance enough that when she goes to trip him it works, but he recovers quickly by seeming to flip himself around in the air and actually land on his feet as he slides back a bit.

Thankfully for him, the armor plating around his stomach area took most of the earlier force, but it was going to leave a nasty bruise probably later. He twirls the Gunblade in his hand as he stands there for a moment, seeming to be looking directly at her.

Though with the lack of being able to see eyes, it be hard press to tell just what he is looking for. He then takes a slow stride to the side, never seeming to look away from Mace as he does so. His steps were very precise on the ground. Each movement seeming to almost be thought ahead and he doesn't seem to be in a hurry to strike right away.

Then with one more step that is when he shifts and comes right in with a great deal of speed, the edge of the Gunblade slides across the rock, causing sparks to fly as he heats the edge of the sword up, then with a hard upward cleave attempts to catch her with the edge of his blade.

Before moving himself back around to swing the edge of the blade back down with a downward strike.

:'''{{#var:154|Leyanne Mace (154)}} has posed:'''
Leyanne Mace seems to be content to watch and wait for the next attack, glad that her gamble paid off - her tail remains ungrabbed. As Gaius moves in, she readies herself, bringing up her metal arm in readiness to block the upward strike. She tenses her legs and she's ready for the upward swing - she catches it on her forearm, leaving a deep score in the thick plastic - but it has the intended effect; her block is knocked clear out of the way of the downward swing. Tiny leans her head out of the way and takes the hit on the plate guarding her mechanical shoulder. The armour is shredded and knocked free, the strike even causing damage to the cybernetic arm beneath - exposing circuitry and striking a few sparks.
She growls and attempts to take advantage of the closeness, her mechanical hand lashing out to pummel at that helm again. She knows she's met someone who's at least her equal, if not superior, in terms of raw striking force - so she's made a resolution that whichever way this goes, she's going to make him panel-beat that thing back into shape.

:'''{{#var:522|Gaius Van Baelsar (522)}} has posed:'''
When the cybernetic hand comes in, Mace will find her fist not impacting the full face helm of the Imperial Legatus, but rather slamming into the palm of Gaius' own hand. The sheer force recoils his arm back uncomfortably and the force of the metal tears up the fabric leather of his glove-- whatever that stuff was made out of.

He holds her fist right there. A few blue lines can be seen emitting around the armor of his hand to the gauntlet. "Curious arm you have." His hand continues to try and keep hold for a moment. "But it will not save you from wince is to come."

Then the lines for a moment flicker orange red as power is fully drawn at maximum level in the armor itself. If the Martian mouse is not quick, she will find her cybernetic hand promptly being almost crushed and herself being swung away.

:'''{{#var:154|Leyanne Mace (154)}} has posed:'''
Leyanne Mace stares for a moment as her hand is slapped into his palm and caught. There's a pause, a very definite 'oh, shit' moment, before she yelps with the pain - plastic can be heard to crack, and there's a sudden, explosive hiss as something important in the pneumatic system ruptures, spraying cold gas out wildly. The yelow light of her arm flickers and goes out, only to be replaced by a green light. As her feet go off the floor she yelps, her fingers bending into unnatural shapes to lock themselves with Gaius'.
As she's swung, she tries to get her legs under herself, her tail flailing wildly as she sets her feet down on the ground - and leans backwards, trying to swing Gaius around herself like a hammer and throw him away from herself.
Only then does she take a moment to look at the damage to her hand's casing, a couple of her fingers locked in the odd positions they'd been forced into by the pressure of his fist - and her own hydraulic assist system.
"Son of a bitch, this was a brand new hand!"

:'''{{#var:522|Gaius Van Baelsar (522)}} has posed:'''
The mouse goes to throw the Black Wolf, and the Black Wolf is indeed thrown, but perhaps not in the way Mace was hoping. When she throws him, he positions himself in that quick moment and instead of being hammered down, he actually spring boards himself around and goes to land on one of the ledges of the steps above.

His Gunblade pointing down at her, he seems to almost /wait/ for her to notice that her plan didn't work, or is perhaps showing some part of his honor. After all, Gaius is a conqueror, but he is also a man of some honor. "You should seek a stronger material to craft your equipment out of. It may serve you better, though I am most curious-- to whom do I owe the honor of this battle?"

The Imperial Legatus will give a chance for Mace to reply or not.. though it also may be her moment to catch her breath, before he decides to come in. Which he does, he does so not by simply leaping down, but by teleportation.

Where he stood is a moment of blue flames that rise from the ground, but where he is now is the real question, which the form of Gaius can be suddenly found above as he has teleported hismelf into the air and is flipping back as blue flames rise off his armor from the teleport.

From that flip, Gaius also unleashes several rounds from his gauntlet cannon down right at the ground where Mace is standing which rain down with an explosive force of blue plasma.

:'''{{#var:154|Leyanne Mace (154)}} has posed:'''
Leyanne Mace gives a nod to the Imperial Legatus. "Leyanne Mace." She replies to his question, getting her breath back in that moment she's given. Of course, it doesn't help much.
As the flames erupt, she adopts a ready position - expecting him to appear in front of... or behind her. Not above her. She looks up, straight into the muzzle of that plasma cannon. She tries to dive aside, but... plasma is nasty, man. All she manages to do is prevent herself being hit directly by the blasts; she's blown clear across the cavern to slam into the wall, her back bending overly far. She picks herself up slowly, drawing her revolver in her organic hand - but she doesn't raise it.
"You one of the honourable ones who'll let a foe pull out?" She asks, quietly.

:'''{{#var:522|Gaius Van Baelsar (522)}} has posed:'''
Gaius lands on the ground and aims his own gunblade at her, "You may leave, as my quarrel is not with you, but to correct the error made by my men. Now begone, Leyanne Mace. I look forward to our next encounter.. and in turn of the name-- my own is Imperial Legatus, Gaius Van Baelsar. You do best to remember it for our next meeting."

:'''{{#var:154|Leyanne Mace (154)}} has posed:'''
Leyanne Mace nods and makes her way back to the bike. She attempts to make a dignified escape, but it's clear that she's got some internal damage beyond what's clear. "Next time I'll be the one delivering an ass-kicking." She comments, before heading out.

Cause /augh/ sunlight. It was a blinding thing. The dark gray furred miqo'te leaned against one of the pillars waiting for the ships arrival. He has gotten use to /some/ of the Multiverse's tech, but it was still so alien to him compared to the lifestyle that he not only came from, but even the most advance things that Eorzea could bring forth was so-- pale in comparison.

He did wonder how close it came to Garlean technology and if maybe the Union had better gear then they did.

The male miqo'te stayed right there in his white outfit. Two sword scabbards hanging down by his side and a bow easily resting along his back with a quiver-- seeming unbothered by the pressure to his back from the weapon. His tail swayed gently and his ears only moved ever so slightly to catch the different sounds around him. Though he didn't seem to concerned.

When the ship did arrive and the woman walked off he was--- a bit surprised to see what she was. A being perhaps /like/ himself, but /far/ from it. A humanoid rodent really, which was mildly amusing given the fact the residence of the Multiverse called him a cat.. and he did some reading on that. The humor of this was not lost on him at all.

"Greetings, so you," he says as he pushes off the pillar, "must be Leyanne! Her tail lashes behind her, and as she gets closer, two green antennae can be seen poking out through her beret. "Indeed and you'd be Xau'ra, right?"
The kitbag in her hand makes a heavy thump as she drops it to the ground, offering her organic hand to the feline. "Pleasure to meet you too." She looks up at the huge bulk of Njorun a moment, with a smile, before taking a better look at the feline's form. "Nice blades"

With this in mind he gives her hand a firm shake. "I am indeed." He gives her a smile.

"Thanks," his smile shifting to a smirk. "I never go anywhere without a least a sword or arrow. Never know what could happen, hm?" His voice has a slight accent to it-- a bit on the British side really. "I also do apologize in advance if I use a few terms that are-- not easy to understand. I am still learning some of the localization terms that differ from my own worlds."

Xau'ra gives her a quick look over, his gold reflective eyes appraising what she is wearing and some of her own unique features. "I take it you been with the Union for some time?" Then he peers at the bag, "Also take it you are packing some hefty wares at that."

:'''{{#var:154|Leyanne Mace (154)}} has posed:'''
Leyanne Mace nods "Been with the Union over a year now, yeah." She grimaces "On and off. Don't worry about the dialect, either - there's so many different languages, dialects and accents you've got to be quick on your toes to pick 'em up anyway."

At the mention of her pack, she shrugs. "Mostly just my armour in there. I tend to carry fairly light weapons, rifles and pistols, 'cause I'm moving around too much for heavy cannons. Don't need much in the way of melee weapons either..." She grins, examining her plastic hand for a moment. "This does the job pretty good."

He had never seen prosthetic before, so he examines it rather closely, perhaps longer then one should normally. "Why is.." He starts out as his brows furrow. He then looks at her with that unsure look of how to ask the question-- or-- even if he should be asking in the first place.

:'''{{#var:154|Leyanne Mace (154)}} has posed:'''
Leyanne Mace grins widely as Xau'ra goes slightly bug-eyed at her cybernetic arm. She swishes her tail and holds it out, demonstrating that she can turn her wrist through a full 360 degrees, bend the elbow backwards almost as far as she can nomrally, and the range of rotation on her shoulder is pretty extreme.

"Why do I have a plastic arm?" She grins, lifting up her own sunglasses to show off her cybernetic eye too. "It's more than just the arm. I was part of the a convoy escort over the Marineris Valley on Mars - that's my homeworld - and my bike hit a landmine. Luckily for me it was an anti-tank mine, because the damage - while catastrophic - was pretty localised straight up my left side. I'm also lucky that it was a medical convoy we were escorting, 'cause I was in stasis practically before all the bits of me had finished bouncing."

She looks at the arm again. "I'm now about 40% cybernetic in terms of function, 60% by mass."

:'''{{#var:548|Xau'ra Tayuun (548)}} has posed:'''
Xau'ra raises an eye brow at her explanation. His tail sways side to side as he tries to put together what she says to /anything/ he can relate with-- or he thinks may relate with. Though at some points it is obvious he becomes a bit lost, including around the end. "I see.." He says softly crosses his arms over his chest.

"We don't have anything like-- cybernetics." He admits as his tail then twitches, "The best thing we have to metal is the blades we forge and what the Garlean Empire sends after us called Magitek." He then goes to rub his chin.

"Though I do not even believe the Garlean Empire has used their own technology in such ways.. yet they may have.. given we only see the their strong holds to push further into Eorzea and not of their own homeland." Xau'ra gives a shake of his head. "Though my sincere apologies for such a thing happening.. even if it was long ago and rather-- old tale by this point, I presume."

:'''{{#var:154|Leyanne Mace (154)}} has posed:'''
Leyanne Mace listens, nodding as she takes in the details. "It's been about six years now, yeah. I've... I know this is gonna sound odd, but I really don't regret it. I'm..." She looks down at herself a moment. "I'm a better soldier than I was. I can fight harder to free my home - and now I'm here in the multiverse, the homes of people who just plain can't fight for themselves."

:'''{{#var:548|Xau'ra Tayuun (548)}} has posed:'''
Xau'ra tilts his head to the side as he listens to her have no regrets to what has happened then gives a nod of his head. "If you don't mind me asking--- is your home also part of this world.. the multiverse? Or did something happen to it?"

He gives a sheepish grin, "Cause I'll be damn honest, I don't understand a bloody thing about dimensional blunders or the like." He then frowns, "But I do know that a good deal of these places have come here and are suffering," That is when Xau'ra then gives a bow, "..and if your home is part of this bigger world, then I'd be honored to assist you on your quest to free your home from whatever evil may prevail it."

:'''{{#var:154|Leyanne Mace (154)}} has posed:'''
Leyanne Mace chuckles "We weren't part of the Multiverse, but... Stoker found the Multiverse, I'm not sure how - I'm just a grunt, you know? Things were getting tough at home - we've got Catatonians invading. They're... well... cat-people, but they're not very nice. Stoker built some kind of dimensional portal and sent me through. As... as I went through I was duplicated, found myself looking at myself. We were... I was playing paper scissors stone to decide which of us went through when the Catatonians started trying to break through the door. I looked at the other me, and then she went to protect Stoker while I came through. Turns out, Mars unified a couple of months later anyway, probably as a result of Stoker's work."

She looks Xau'ra in the eye, and takes his hand in both of hers. "It would be an honour to have you fight with us." she says, looking touched

:'''{{#var:548|Xau'ra Tayuun (548)}} has posed:'''
Xau'ra blinks his eyes as Mace takes his hands. He gives her a warm smile and then bows his head. "Just let me know what I can do, after all, we are both part of the union and I am not one to stand by why those suffer."

Xau'ra then gives a soft chuckle as he goes to pat her on the shoulder, "And do not worry about any offense taken if you concerned you'd see me as those enemies you face." He then gives a playful grin, "We Miqo'te are a strange breed and broken into two tribes. We tend to be have a bite, but only for those whom dare harm our allies and family."

"Feline we may seem, but beasts we are not." Xau'ra gives a nod of his head. "Anyroad, would you like a drink or perhaps some food? I hear there is a restaurant here somewhere and I'd be more then glad to pay."

:'''{{#var:154|Leyanne Mace (154)}} has posed:'''
Leyanne Mace smiles "You'd never be taken for a Catatonian anyway. They're luke us - more, er, animalistic head structure." She listens to Xau'ra's description of his people. "Your people sound like a bunch of guys I know down Alabama way. We'd get on pretty well. A drink sounds pretty good, I'll meet you there in about fifteen minutes - I've got to get my bike out of storage before the AI decides to disown me."

|Powers=ntennae: Leyanne's antennae are sensitive to wind currents, scents, and sound, granting her enhanced senses.
