Glitter keeps straining to slow things down, hold them back; she can't stop it. She /knows/ she can't stop it, and the sense of failure is what keeps her going; she would never be able to look herself in a mirror if she didn't do literally everything she could do before that point.<br /><br />About a quarter second before the Bardock disintegrates, Glitter's grip on the gigantic ship falters and fails. Her brain feels like someone grated it with steel wool, but with a hiss she keeps forcing her powers to stay active, wrapping herself in layer after layer after layer of shielding and throwing herself into the sky - <br /><br />Impact.<br /><br />Glitter does not slow down. If anything, the horrible shockwave beneath her pushes her even further and faster away from ground zero; she is concious but only barely so, thrown upwards into the sky by the succession of devastation behind and below her.<br /><br />She squeezes her eyes shut. Everything hurts, she's battered and bruised and agonized just from /trying/ to move things, and she'll claim it's the speed, but it's not; with her shields wrapped around her, she doesn't even feel like she's moving. She just can't bear to look back at it.<br /><br />She couldn't do it. It is, for the first time since she grew into her powers, that Glitter has felt really helpless.<br> <br>
