+Battling over a location in Eorzea works the same as it does in the Target Zones, along with the same rules which apply as well. There is little difference between the two, beyond the fact you are now aiding the Eorzean Alliance to keep their land free from tyranny or your helping the Garlean Empire take control of the lands.
