In the darkest depths, several major figures convene. Though the lack of light in the ocean's deepest recesses means they only cast silhouettes, they're marked by the glow of their eyes. To the northeast, a huge silhouette with eyes burning orange like fire. To the south, a massive eyeless shape flanking a smaller figure with crimson eyes. And to the northwest, the tall red-eyed figure and her pink-eyed companion.

"Operations in the Southern Sea Zone have stalled," the southern figure admits with a gesture, "Hikari Sea Base has become more fortified, and one of my strongest carriers has disappeared. However, Ironbottom Sound remains secret. We're continuing our probing operations for now."

"The European front proceeds," the orange-eyed figure rumbles, "Though Wilhelmshaven has fallen, we continue to have difficulty breaking into the Baltic. That ship... will need to be destroyed before we can proceed." Her eyes close, "Though our Mediterranean branch is having more success raiding their convoys."

"I have initiated Operation Hydra," the slender red-eyed figure comments, her tone even, "The Fleet of Darkness will soon amass enough resources to feed a campaign of annihilation in the north-pacific corridor."

"Operation Hydra?" Orange glances towards Slender Red, then towards Bulky Red.

"Seize a central point," Bulky Red explains, "And then extend in all directions, consuming everything you reach. An ambitious resource accumulation plan." Her eyes close, "But you were never able to find that central point to operate from, not without risking your main fortress, wasn't that right?"

"I have found a suitable location," Slim Red states, her tone unchanging, "Due to its centralized location in the Pacific operational theater and its relative distance from Dark Sky Atoll, as well as its idealized natural harbor, the American base on Hawaii has been chosen." Her eyes open once more, threateningly narrow, "As we speak, my Water Demons are seizing the base for our own purposes."

"... Pearl Harbor?" Orange fixes a gaze on her smaller compatriot.

"Correct."

"Wait a second," The bulkier red shadow hunches forward, throwing her arms out, "You WHAT?"
