"The long-range telepathic system would have been more efficient, though. Is security so compromised because of one human?"

"It's not just one human. She has a lot of friends, very powerful even by our standards. If we disperse our communication signals across the planet as usual, it'd only be a matter of time before she or someone else found a way to tap into them. By reducing the distance between our bodies I estimate we can cut down on those risks almost entirely. Of course, we lose time doing so."

"Why are you with-holding access to your memories like this? Another precaution? It would be much easier if we just linked as usual."

"Mhm. I've found that what happened affected the memories of the entire Universe. If I spread the information to the species, the Universe itself would become a liability. It may notice. This "Law of Cycles", you see."

"This is contrary to all of our methods. Do you truly believe you have found the source of the Law of Cycles?"

"Not exactly. I will open the memory bridge once the experiments are fully completed so that we may all act as one and restore things to the way they should be. I believe I have found the key to exposing the source though."
