Homura stands on the edge of a balcony. Kyubey idles on her shoulder.

She looks out towards the sea, silently. It's the "cat" who breaks the ice.

"You know, Akemi Homura, even someone unfamiliar with your emotions and strange behaviors can tell there is something on your mind." :3

"Oh? And this interests you now?"

"I did not say it interested me. I would go as far as to say under normal circumstances, asking you would be a waste of time." :3

"But?"

"But, there is nothing else requiring my attention at the moment, and no prospective magical girls within my sights." :3

"So you're saying you're bored, Incubator?"

"That is a roughly accurate statement." :3

"I'm just wondering if the blood on my hands will stain everyone I touch."

"If experience has thought me anything about you magical girls and karma, it is that it will. Remember, for every ounce of hope you have created, you must create equal despair, at least in theory.
