D Follow Up: Serori Visits Lute in Medical
Date of Scene: 20 January 2015
Location: The Citadel - Medical
Synopsis: Lute is in pain in medical, so Serori goes to give him a visit.
Cast of Characters: 37, 188

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute is, of course, currently laying in the medical wing of the Confederate Headquarters right now. Most of his body is covered in bandages, he has an IV in him, and he is /somewhat/ immobile, but still. Considering how strong D is, he could of been far worse off.

While waiting for Serori, he's just laying back (of course), watching some television. Sadly, there isn't much on right now, so he's just watching the National Geographic Channel. Some show about the Dinosaurs of the Multiverse, with footage of them and whatnot.

Though he does seem a bit excited at watching the footage of a T-rex hunting.

Serori (37) has posed:
Not long after Lute so sweetly asks for a visit, Serori comes sauntering through his door, a plush something-or-other from the gift shop in her hand. She pauses in the doorway to look him over, her head cocked to the side, before she strolls the rest of the way over to tuck the plush in beside his on his pillow. It probably has cute fuzzy tentacles or something. The Confederacy does have a certain image to maintain.

"I remember you visiting me here a few times. Been awhile since you have, but a lot's changed, too." Her tail sways slowly behind her. It pokes out from beneath her t-shirt, either forced through a hole she's cut into her shorts, or resting just above the waistband. That part's covered, so Lute'll just have to guess.

The point is that she's in a pretty casual mode.

"You look horrible." She draws a chair up to the side of his bed, and sits down with her elbows propped on the mattress's edge.

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute smiles as Serori comes in, and when the the plush tentacle monster is set next to him, he pets it a bit. As she speaks a bit, he shrugs a little. Yeah, they haven't seen eachother in this context for a /long/ time, huh?

"Well. We've both been incredibly busy, so it's not too surprising that we haven't seen eachother for a while. I mean, like. The whole 'war' thing makes social time a bit hard to get. Even most of my social time is in the midst of combat, usually, chatting it up with enemies and allies."

He does make note of the tail sticking out, and ponders a /bit/ on how exactly that works. Still, though, the main reason he notices it is, because he's Lute, he's trying to check Serori out a bit as she walks in.

"Well, I may look horrible, but you still look great as always. And honestly, I'm just glad I left D looking worse than me. Though I have no clue what I should do with D's hair, blood, and clothing. But I'm sure we'll figure something out."

"Also, by the way. I was incredibly touched when you said you'd be willing to use a Dragonball Wish to bring me back at some point. Thanks, for that. It meant a lot to me."

Serori (37) has posed:
It's nice to be appreciated! Serori grins as she notices where his eyes are going, as tolerant of his habits as ever. He's seldom done anything to make her mad. Embarrassed her a few times, sure, but she's never really torn into him that she can remember.

"Aah. Thank you. And I'm glad you did, too. He's been a real pain for awhile, so I'm pleased you were able to step in and do something about him." For a moment, all her pleasantness fades behind a slight frown. "You got some vengeance for Medusa, too. That's good. Someone needed to do it."

Serori gives her head a little shake, and sighs out in exasperation. "I've been too busy for these kinds of fires. It's hard work, finding these Dragon Balls! I've been all over that planet, up and down and in and out. Went crawling through a cave yesterday until I almost couldn't fit any further, and found nothing. Came out all covered in clay, too." She shrugs. "But it's worth the effort, or it will be."

She blinks at him. "I can't let you just get all screwed up without trying to do /something/ about it. You got your mirror, hm? What's next?"

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute nods a little bit. Yeah, as the talk of Medusa comes up, he gets... a bit more solemn for a moment. "Well... Even though Medusa was a bit of a monster, completely insane, and probably had hidden motives of some kind? She was still fairly kind to most of us. Got along with all of us pretty well. So I had to do /something/. Plus... The sword I used to defeat D? I think that'd be a good present to place on her memorial statue."

Lute smiles, "Well, at least for the Dragon Balls, odds are we'll find them all /eventually/. Plus, like. Just imagine it. Immortal! You'll be like a God! That'll be /really/ awesome, huh? Like, I have to admit, that's something I'd kind of want to get one day too. Acheive immortality. But hey, maybe one day, right?"

A smile, at the mention of the mirror. Well. This obviously is a happy note for Lute. "Well, what happens next with the Mirror is /total awesome/. I'll get ahold of Giratina. I'm probably going to play up its power a bit, to intimidate the Union? But, mostly, it will just make it so I have a higher level of power. It's not the world destroying thing a lot of people think it is. Legendary Pokemon are powerful, but... As their name implies, there are a /lot/ of Legends about them."

And, another smile. "Plus, I think I've solved the puzzle of what's going on with me. I need to confirm a few things, but... The pieces are all coming into place. And if I'm right, well. I'm not going to end up dieing to my link with Registeel."

A happy sigh, "Really, everything has just been going /so well/ recently. It's great."

Serori (37) has posed:
His obvious glee perks up Serori's mood, and her interest. Reaching out to him, she gives Lute a small, gentle pat on the chest, and nods to encourage his story. "So, you don't sound like you want to tell me too much yet about what you've learned until it's proven, but can you tell me more about what to expect from Giratina? Tell me one of those legends about her. Or...him. Giratina sounds more like a girl's name, but I guess with Pokemon that doesn't always work out the way you expect..."

She leans in with interest, now resting her chin in a cradle formed by her linked-together fingers.

"And tell me more about how those Unown helped you. I feel like I should be giving them my thanks."

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute shrugs, and smiles a bit. "I dunno. Maybe I want to keep even the legends about Giratina secret? Come /real/ close and I might tell you?"

Despite this posturing, he doesn't actually wait for her to come close. Yeah, just the chance to flirt for now is enough for him.

"I'll... tell you a little bit on my theory of what is going on. This alone is probably enough to give you an idea, though. I looked for my birth certificate in my world. The world I've been living from. And... It doesn't exist. Could be a clerical error, but..." A chuckle from Lute. He ponders these words. How likely is that to be a clerical error, really? "...Odds are, you can put together my line of thought on this."

Following this, though, Lute reaches for something at the little bedside table next to him. A book. He picks it up, and opens it to a page. He shows Serori a picture, of Giratina itself.

"I'm... not sure its gender. It very well might be genderless. But. Giratina. The Legendary Pokemon of the Reverse World. As the story goes, when my world began, all that there was, was an Egg. This Egg hatched, and out came Arceus. He created various Pokemon. Diagla and Palkia, to create Time and Space. Groudon and Kyogre, to create the Land and the Ocean. Xerneas and Yvetal to create Life and Death."

"But. When the Universe was created, at the same time, another world was created. The Reverse World. Giratina is the opposite of Arceus. If Arceus was Matter, Giratina would be Antimatter. There aren't a /lot/ of legends about Giratina. He appears in various cultures, but generally as a figure of evil. Sometimes, cultures represent him simply as an alien and unknown being. My own research shows that, most likely, he is simply another Legendary Pokemon, and the legends oversell his power."

A smirk. "The Mirror will let me open a path to the Reverse World. I've toyed with it a bit, without telling anyone. I haven't opened a full portal yet, but so far? It has seemed to work. And I think... It might help me convince Giratina to join us as well. Just having the Mirror. I think the glass was made in the Reverse World."

Serori (37) has posed:
"'Elegant and beautiful,' huh?" Serori chuckles. There's no denying the satisfaction in her smile. "You really /are/ on a roll. Winning points in all corners." Her tail twitches once at the tip.

The distraction doesn't last forever, of course. Switching from playful right back to thoughtful, she hmmms and sinks down a bit lower, folding her arms and now putting her chin on her wrists. She stays like this while she considers Giratina, the mirror, and what all Lute's learned about himself, including the implication that he might not have been born where he's always been told he had been. After she gets her thoughts in a row, she sits up straighter again. "So do you think...you were born in the Reverse World? Or just in another world altogether?"

"How do the Unown play into all this, anyway? They claim to belong to you -- but why? Or -- how? Do you think Giratina has all these answers?"

There's some kind of connection there she's not quite grasping. She looks to him for understanding.

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute smiles. Yeah, Serori /likes/ these comments. And in a lot of ways, she is one of the people Lute feels most comfortable with. Which also means he isn't always as /bad/ as he could be around her.

"Well, if I'm winning points, it's only by telling you the truth, anyways."

Lute thinks on his situation bit. How best to describe it. He doesn't know quite the right labels for it, but... Well. He is going to try and explain it the best that he can. "Not quite... Look at it this way. I'm from a specific Pokemon World. I found the Mirror, and the notes on it, from a /different/ Pokemon World. This is also the world the Unown lead me to, and the Reverse World of the Giratina I'm after is only accessible by using the Mirror in that world. So... I think there may of been a fluke accident when I unified. And I ended up in the wrong place, with the wrong memories. I'm not /certain/ of this yet, though. But, it's making more and more sense."

"And the Unown... They have been looking for me for a /long/ time. They probably just had trouble finding me. As for why I think Giratina will answer it... Well. Every time I've succeeded at something in this different Pokemon World, more memories keep coming back. The joy of success leads to old memories coming back. I'm not sure /why/, that's just how it is happening."

Serori (37) has posed:
"You've always had trouble...figuring out who you are. Your personality has changed often, to the point it really seems like there are two people inside your head." Serori taps her own forehead for emphasis. Though her words are pretty serious, her tone is fairly light and casual -- she's just talking, not condemning him or anything. "And I guess you really /do/, though. There's no maybe about that. I guess -- maybe this is part of why you have such a hard time keeping yourself together?"

A little shrug, and she continues. "I just hope that whoever you are on the other side of this, that you're still mostly the same, and still my friend. You feel good about it, so I will help you however I can. If Giratina needs to be beaten up, you can bet I'll give it a few punches for you." She chuckles and reaches over to him to rest her hand gently atop his head. Her thumb strokes over his brow a few times. "You're confident, so I'm confident. We'll find the answers, and everything'll come out good in the end."

"What have you been remembering? Anything important?"

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute just smiles at Serori. "Don't worry, I'll still be me. I mean, even with the split personality thing going on, I'm still me, right? ....though. From what I can tell, the split personality is still due to Registeel. Not an effect of me being from another world. But, like... There are a lot of unknown things. But I'm not going anywhere, alright?"

And a smile, "And if Giratina needs some punches, you'd be one of the first people I go to. Though I can't wait to capture it... Though not as mythically powerful as, say, Mortimer cared to describe it? It's still /really/ powerful. It'd be a great asset."

He ponders a bit. What /has/ he been remembering?

"Well. I've been going over the notes I've been taking, while I've had the flashes of memory. the flashes have been staying with me longer, too. And here is what I've pieced together. If I /am/ from an alternate Pokemon world... I grew up in the Orre region. It's a bit of a shithole land, though I grew up in a relatively wealthy area. It gave me a lot of opportunities. And, well... Despite my.. you know. Being me? I managed to get my Masters degree in Pokemon Research at a pretty young age. Jesus, I still can't beliieve that I'm a /fucking intellectual/. Like that's the memories coming back the most, though."

He ponders a bit, looking at the ceiling, before turning back to look at Serori again.

"I had a fascination with Legendary Pokemon, and went across much of the world researching them, and their legends. That's when I caught most of my Pokemon. It's also when I found the Unown. There are these ruins, in Johto? I met them there. Learned their secrets. Unlocked their power. I figured out how to connect them to eachother, into a hive mind, and then take control of it. I became a Glyph Master, one capable of sealing Unown into walls as glyphs, combining Unown together, and merging with them to myself use their power."

"And... then I found the Mirror Frame, in Kalos. And... If my guess is right, I think that's when my Unification accident happened."

A smile, "Plus, I also discovered I have my own house, in Orre. I need to clean it up a bit more still, but. You should totally come and visit it sometime. You know, maybe spend the night?"

     A hopeful wink.

Serori (37) has posed:
"Orre..." Serori's eyes wander across the ceiling as if she can see through it to the entire Multiverse beyond. In truth, she's just trying to recall what she knows about the various Pokemon worlds -- not really tapping into any bizarre supernatural powers at all. "Orre...it doesn't ring a bell. You say it's a shithole? Like in what way, just underdeveloped, or really poor and broken?" Curiosity returns her gaze to his face; her eyes are wide with interest, much more open than their usual sly, narrow kind of look.

"A degree could explain your facility in the field. You have a grasp of Pokemon mechanics and physiology many of your competitors can't match. It's like it comes naturally to you, and maybe it does, in part, but maybe it's also a bit of your academic side shining through? I'm not too surprised. You act like an idiot in some ways, but when it comes down to it, you can be very, very clever, and where Pokemon are concerned, you've always been a force to be reckoned with." Serori's thumb drifts across his forehead a couple more times, and she shrugs.

"A Glyph Master...so, that's what enabled you to defeat D, huh?" She gets thoughtful again, then smirks. "Those Unown must have been relieved to have found you again. Your relationships with your Pokemon have always been so good, Registeel aside..."

Then, he winks. Serori laughs, turns a bit pink, and tries to give as good as she just got. "You say you came from wealth. That's a good start! Your house has to be very nice to draw me in. I have high standards, you know." She gives him a haughty look, and chuckles. "I'd expect a fancy dinner, too, and dancing."

Seems that while Lute feels free to be himself around Serori, she feels pretty relaxed about being herself around him, too. She wouldn't joke like this with just anybody.

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute ponders... Hrm. All of the descriptions for these places... It's really hard for him to do, still. While his memories are coming back, he isn't sure how much of them come from which world. But, after a little bit of pondering, he gets an idea of how to describe Orre best.

"Well... It's a large, desert area. Minimal drinkable water. Long history of crime. There are only a handful of decent and livable cities there. Most of the other cities are filled with criminals. And mostly criminals without purpose. The city I'm from, Phenac City, is one of the nicer places, though."

"And, well. I'll admit, even I'm surprised I have a degree. But as all of the facts are coming back, it is feeling less and less weird, if that makes any sense? Like as I remember I did it, I understand how I did it."

"And yeah, I'm assuming they liked me, too. But they are /bound/ to me. Bound to obey me. Like, the Pokemon Linking I had... It's not the same as what I did with the Unown. I used some sort of ritual to make them mine. But still, it works out. They are... /very/ useful. And even if the ritual forces their loyalty, it's likely they would want to be loyal to me anyways."

A smile, "Yeah, the place is fairly nice. It's not /huge/, but for the area, it's in, it's /really/ nice. I mean, hard to support a mansion in a desert so it isn't that big, but it's still relatively nice. But yeah, we can have a fancy dinner, and dancing, too. That wouldn't be a problem. Plus, like. It has this cool heart shaped bed, too. It's awesome! I don't remember buying that still, but it's /great/ taste, I have to say."

Serori (37) has posed:
Serori laughs again. "A heart-shaped bed, huh? Big pillows and everything? Curtains, too, so we can leave them open and let the thrill of being caught make things more exciting?" Her grin turns broad and teasing. "Fine, fine, you've got it. It's a date. Impress me, and we'll see what happens. It's already kind of impressive that you're thinking along these lines despite how messed up you are right now. Look at you, all covered in bandages and stitches, and you still want to get me in bed. That's real resilience!" Her laughter returns, wicked and warm, and her eyes sparkle as she looks at him.

"You're surprising in a lot of ways. Admirable in a lot of ways, too. I'm sure that's why you did so well in Orre, and why you continue to bounce back, here. Hey, I should let you get your rest, huh?" She glances at the clock on the television. "Well. I could probably stick around a little longer, but I don't want you to fight staying awake just for my sake."

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute just laughs a bit, though as he does, it's obvious that he's laughing too much that it's causing him a bit of pain. He calms down fairly fast, though. If nothing else, Lute is fairly tough.

"Yeah, well. Some things are just /more important/ than worrying about being injured, you know? Besides just a couple more days and I'll be out of here, getting ready to prep for getting Giratina. And then after that, I've got some other fights to get done. Wanna fight Vegeta, and then Ryuko. Those should be fun."

Lute sighs, "And... yeah. I probably should get /more/ rest. I'll be honest, though, I'd prefer it if you stayed with me for a while, even if I fell asleep. These medical rooms get so... /lonely/, you know? Only so many people even think to visit me, too."

Serori (37) has posed:
Serori nods. Her thumb returns to stroking across his forehead, surprisingly gentle, and in a voice soft with fondness for him, she agrees to his request. "You've got it. I'll stay here 'til you don't seem to need it anymore. Just get your rest, hm?" Then, a snort of amusement. "You'll need it if you're going to fight Vegeta. He's less of a bastard than he used to be, but he's stil tough, believe me. Hasn't kicked my ass too badly yet, but he's proven that he's still number one among the saiyans."

She sinks down again to kind of rest her arm on the mattress and her chin on top of her wrist, her eyes staying on Lute, her fingers still in his hair. "You could probably surprise him a few times, though. He needs to be surprised; keeps him almost humble."

"As for Ryuko, I've put her out of my mind for now. If someone manages to catch up to her and to recover the Dragon Ball she stole, I'll be grateful, of course, but for now I just need to find the rest. Still, she's got a mouth on her, huh? You should really teach her to be more respectful." Serori smirks a little. "At least in fighting her you'll get a real eyeful. She doesn't wear much."

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute lays back a bit more, getting less straight up. Yeah, he's probably going to drift off /fairly/ soon. Losing that much blood takes it out of you.

"Ehhh. I'm sure I can take Vegeta. Besides, Saiyans respect strength, right? So I may as well prove I'm stronger than /him/. And I've got tricks up my sleeves to beat him, too."

A smile. "And yeah, Ryuko pissed me off just by being a jerk on the radio, but the Dragon Ball thing gives me more reason to fight her. ...Plus I /do/ want to check her out in battle, too. I saw a clip of her at WMAT, so I have some idea."

"Granted, I'd rather check /you/ out than her, but."

     Yaaaaawn.

"Sorry that none of the Union guys dress like that, though. Cause I imagine a lot of people would appreciate /that/."

Serori (37) has posed:
"Like you can't check me out any time you damn well please. You just don't come around often enough to do it!" Serori chuckles. "And, honestly, if the Union guys all dressed like Ryuko, I don't know how I'd contain myself. Can you imagine? What would it be like, just a couple of belts hiding their stuff?" She snorts amusement. "Maybe a gun holster or something. That's more suggestive."

"Now, if you manage to beat Vegeta, I won't know what to do. That might make you King of the Saiyans." She's still smirking as he settles himself and starts to submit to his exhaustion. "I've had enough political upheaval in my society for one lifetime. I want to focus on the important aspects of rebuilding my empire, and stop worrying about who I'm supposed to call King. So if you do beat him, try to resist temptation, and let him keep his crown."

"Maybe I will give you the royal treatment, anyway, if you do." Her tail, lifted up behind her in a natural but playful-seeming arch, waves just behind her shoulder, conveying her good humor. "Go to sleep, Lute. I'll be right here."

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute shrugs, "Well, I'll just have to come around more often then, and check you out more. Plus, it'd be only fair to the women of the Confederacy if the men of the Union dressed like that, too... Hrm."

Yeah, Lute is pondering something. He'll have to prepare something for his duel against Ryuko. This could end up stupid.

"And Vegeta already said he wouldn't gamble his crown on a duel again. I'm going to just duel him for the sake of proving I'm better, honestly. And as for helping with your empire... Well. I /was/ serious about being willing to help with the efforts, there."

Yes, Lute is bringing up that awkward moment.

"And... Okay. I guess I'll sleep."

He begins to close his eyes a bit, as he lays back. It'll take him a /bit/ to fall completely asleep, but it will definately come soon.

Serori (37) has posed:
"Aah, I'll keep it in mind. Maybe we'll consider our date in Orre to be a trial of your capabilities in that regard." She starts to laugh, then, but something hits her out of the blue. "Oh, what about your wife in all this? What's she going to do after this is all over, and you've gotten all your memories back? Gehhh...well, maybe she won't care too much. Anyway, if you want to bring her along on our date, too, that's fine with me."

She keeps telling him to SLEEP, but then she says things like THAT -- judging by her smug look, she knows exactly what she's doing, too. Whatever his reaction, she just laughs and ignores him, turning her attentions to the TV.

Serori keeps her promise, and stays with him until after he's sound asleep. Even then, she sticks around just in case, though she starts watching the television a lot more once Lute's even breathing gets boring to behold.

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute is at the point where it is hard for him to stay awake anymore.

And then Serori goes and says that. God damnit, Lute is /so/ excited to hear this, wants to make clearer arrangements /right now/, and yet he is now drifting asleep.

At the least, he's likely to have /really good dreams/ now.
