Cast of Characters: Sarracenia, 698

Sarracenia has posed:
The Urbania mall. One of the most spectacular malls in all existence. Even a newcomer to the Multiverse would surely have heard of it. And where there are huge malls, there are usually...card stores!

But, today this card store has come to a halt. The usual nerds and other enthusiasts are staring because there is a -woman- in the store. Shopping! A tall woman in a long dress is investigating the hats and jackets that such a store often carries. Character jackets of things like pikachu and Sonic(TM). And judging by her crown, she is a princess of some kind.

And she is soaking up the attention. It might be half the reason she came to a place like this. The smirk on her face shows she is enjoying the stares and the way the boys fumble around her. Then...she spots the rare card case near the register. And there inside it is...a Dark Magician Girl! "Oh! How cute! I bet I would look great in an outfit like that." she says, looking at the card through the glass.

Joey Wheeler (698) has posed:
The Urbania mall is a great, big place and it's the first time that Joey Wheeler, MASTER OF GAMES, but- you know, not really, has come here to find a card shop. Surely this place has one. He arrived no less than three hours ago!-- then got immediatly lost somewhere in fishing equipment.

Through a long and audorus journey of escalavors, stairs and infomation desks, he's finally found himself in the store and he raises his hand high.

"Yes! It is I Joey Wheeler! DUEL MONST----why are you all ignoring me?" he asks as literarly no one pays attention to him. He sigghhhhhhs. -_-;.

Whelp, can't win them all. Also, everyone seems to be paying attention to someone else. Woah!? A crown!? Is she-- a queen!? or a princess!?

That's kind of intresting to him. Maybe he can--IMPRESSS A PRINCESS. Yes. He can picture the fantasy already. Galant Duelist Knight of--- some... kingdom or another. He approaches the case and places a hand in his pocket. He peeks into the case as Sarracenia makes her statement. "Oh, hey, Dark Magician Girl. I know someone who uses that Card. Nice Choice" he says, giving a thumbs up AND a wink. "Are you sure you could deal with that hat though!?" he asks, making a motion as if something was coming down in front of his face--- such as, a very large ridicolous hat.

Sarracenia has posed:
The princess doesn't look up right away as Joey speaks up. "It is a rather large and silly hat. I suppose if I did aquire an outfit of that style, I would have to make a few design changes." she says, then stands up straight and looks over at Joey. She blinks as she looks the young man over, then her eyes focus on his hair. "That is a rather impressive hairstyle. How do you get it to form those...wings?" she asks, poking Joey's hair above his eyes.

She then looks back at the card. "I wonder if this mall has a costume shop...?" she muses to herself as she looks at the card. "Dark Magician Girl, hm? That seems a rather...obvious name. Perhaps that is too plain a costume for one such as myself after all."

Joey Wheeler (698) has posed:
Joey Wheeler looks at Sarracenia for a bit, when--she actually aknowledges him! Woah! Okay, play it cool Joey.

"Well, uh. Champion's secret!" he insists. "I work just as hard on my hair everyday, as much as I do my game!" he says with a dramatic, overcompensated flourish. *smash cut to some brand of hel gair seventy five percent of all anime characters must use.*

"I think I saw a costume shop? I was los---I mean, I was looking for three hours , and I saw all kinds of stores! There's gotta be a costume shop." he says, brushing a hand across his head a bit.

"Eh-- right. My name's Joey Wheeler!--- are you a princess? or a queen?" he asks with wide eyes just for a moment.

"Or... is. Is that just a costume too?" he asks, more to himself, tapping a finger to his chin in thought.

Sarracenia has posed:
Sarracenia raises an eyebrow as Joey corrects his statement, then smiles. "Yes, there must be." she agrees, then blinks at his question to her. "Me? I am the amazingly beautiful Princess Sarracenia Sundew, Crowned Princess of the Sundew Kingdom!" she says, doing a little twirl in place before ending in a cute pose, leaning forward just a bit with her left hand on her waist and her right held out, palm down, as if expecting royal protocol. That is, a kiss to the back of her hand. "No doubt you are honored to meet me." she says, eyes closed and a snobby smirk on her face. "And I assure you, while this -is- technically a costume, it is not merely because I like to dress as a princess."

Joey Wheeler (698) has posed:
Joey Wheeler raises a brow. Amazingly beautiful? Well she said it first, he figures. So he gives a smug, self satifying smile. "Well I've never met a Princess before, so I dunno how I should be feelin'!" he says in a more matter of fact tone. "But honored works." he says in his brooklyn accent.

He takes this chance to look up and down her dress. Indeed, it's not like what he's used to regularly seeing- but he's around less intresting places most of the time.

"Well I kinda like it. I think it's......" he pauses tries to think of an uninsulting word. "Beautiful? Yea. Beautiful!" he says as he crosses his arms a bit.

"I mean, I ain't exactly dressed to go to the ritz, here." he insists, pointing at his green jacket, undershirt and jeans that are all very boring comapred to say, an elaborate dress.

Sarracenia has posed:
Sarracenia looks Joey over again, then hmms. "Yes, your clothing is rather...common." she says, then twirls again to show off her dress again before she starts toward the door, her heels clicking on the tile flooring. "So, Joey, where is this costume shop? I am sure someone who was...not lost..." She smirks lightly, glancing over her shoulder at him, "...should be able to guide me." She gives her hair a flip with one gloved hand before turning her head back toward the door.

Joey Wheeler (698) has posed:
Joey Wheeler is asked to show her where the shop is. Oh crap! Where did he see it!? He's pretty sure it's on the upper levels. Yeah. He's sure of it. That's where it is. He thinks. He hopes so. "Uh... sure! Follow me." he says, placing a hand behind his head for a moment as he walks out of the store. He knows where it is now. He can come back later.

"So the Sundew Kingdom, eh? That sounds like a place with lots of wet plants..." he asides as he thinks.

"--is it?" he asks as he makes sure the princess is following. Or. Is there some sort of decorum he isn't following!?

He's kind of worried about that! "Do you normally dress in costumes?" he asks. "I don't like 'em myself." he asides.

Sarracenia has posed:
Sarracenia allows Joey to walk ahead of her, but not actually in front of her. Whenever he tries to, either on purpose or accidentally, she lets out a soft annoyed noice. If he doesn't notice, she coughs. If that still doesn't work...she'd yell at him.

After that, she answers his questions. "It does have lots of plants, and they are often wet thanks to the heavy rains. The plant life is so thick and large that there is only one road that leads anywhere around my kingdom. In front the outside to the city gates, and that is it. Otherwise, we employ airships to move goods and people." she explains. Judging by her tone, she is not all that in love with her kingdom. "As for the costumes." She smiles. "It is a hobby of mine. I collect cute costumes so that one day, when I find my hero, I can show off my collection of cuteness and ensure he never leaves me!"

Her voice gets just a bit louder than necessary toward the end, and there is a slightly crazy look in her eyes as she pumps both her fists, eyes sparkling with imagined images of possible heroes. "Of course, if a heroine is my hero instead...that is something I would accept. One cannot chose one's hero, after all. That hero must choose the princess."

Joey Wheeler (698) has posed:
Joey Wheeler manages to SOMEHOW have enough smarts to not get directly in front of a princess. He tries to keep /beside/ her if he can accomplish this. He listens. Woah, Airships! and lots of plants, and leaves and--- Wet. He imagines a rainforest, and---- tribes that must live there. Eeeeeeeek! No thanks, he thinks.

"Just one road? Yikes. Haven't you tried to.. cut anything down!?" he asks.

---and then she mentions a hero. Yessssss. "WELL, I happen to be among the TOP DUEL MONSTERS CHAMPIONS." he insists. This is a complete and utter lie. His name may not even show on whatever counts as a Google Search in the Multiverse.

"-- and someday I'll be the King of Games!" he insists. "THE BEST OF THE BEST! NUMERO UNO!" he says with equal frevor as Sarracenia goes on about heroes.

"Maybe then, I can come on by and try out. Yeah!?" he asks. "My deck is pretty strong!" he insists.

He's probably getting the wrong entire impression here.

Sarracenia has posed:
"The effort it takes to maintain that road required the entire budget for road maitenance outside of the city walls. The forest regrows so fast that to maintain any other roads would be impossible. Besides, with airships, we don't really need more than one road." the princess says.

As Joey goes off about Duel Monsters, Sarracenia blinks. And as he asserts that he is going to be Numero Uno, she smirks. "Well, you will have to prove it. I cannot simply take your word that you are or will be a champion." she says, crossing her arms over her chest and fixing a skeptical look on Joey. "And what is Duel Monsters? Do you summon powerful creatures to fight in arena combat?" she asks, then hmms. "That might be useful for rescuing damsels in distress." she says, then blinks as she notices a nearby clock. "Oh dear. I must be going. A princess must get proper rest each night." she says, then turns toward the nearest exit. "Thank you for the escort, Joey, but I must take my leave of you now. I will have to visit that costume shop on my own time."

Joey Wheeler (698) has posed:
Joey Wheeler explains quickly. "Well yeah! I use my Duel Disk, here, see!" he says holding up the silver device on his wrist. It folds out, revealing a weird, blade-like playing field on it. "And I can summon monsters with my cards!" he insists. "But there's rules and stuff you gotta obey in a proper game, so...."

And then he blinks. "Well... bye!" he says, waving. He huhs and scratches his head. "Well..that was odd!" he says to himself.
