Cast of Characters: 188, 573

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute, at the moment, is not in good shape at all. His room is utterly trashed, with broken medical equipment all over the room. Even the walls are broken up quite a bit. And, Lute himself? He is currently standing, leaning with his back against the wall. He has a large number of wounds on him at the moment, various burn wounds, cannon wounds, and just chunks of flesh missing from most of his body. And, due to his recent outrate, the vast majority of them have opened up again, despite prior treatment.

There is a bit of a tear going down one of his eyes, which is is in the process of wiping away. His eyes simply stare forward. His stare is blank and empty. He looks like a broken man in every possible way.

It's really only a matter of time before someoen comes in, and he knows it. He made an /incredible/ racket. Also, the medical equipment is probably sounding off some alarms due to being totally broken.

Mihk Lihzeh (573) has posed:
It really isn't long, before a pair of orderlies bust into the room. They take in what's happened then quirk their brows at Lute.

Following them along at a much too leisurely pace is a much shorter woman. Dusky dark skin, dark purple hair and mismatched eyes, a pair of feline ears poking from atop her head, and the telltale swish of her fluffy tail behind her, it's Mihk Lihzeh, the Miqo'te nurse. "Mr Trieste. Damaging your room, and yourself further is a pointless affair, I would ask that you refrain from destroying more of our equipment." she says softly, adjusting her glasses. "We will need to take you to another recovery room."

She gestures to the orderlies, who very carefully approach the wounded man. They then either lift him up and carry, or help him walk over to another room down the hall.

"Your charts showed good healing progress, but that outburst likely reversed much of that... I shall return shortly with my potions and tome... please try to remain in the bed this time? The orderlies will tend to bandaging your wounds."

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute normally is a pretty easy going guy. But, as Mihk comes in with the orderlies, he just looks down and away from all of them. He says nothing, and doesn't really give any indication that he's going to go along with the Orderlies peacefully, or if he might fight it. At least, at first.

Finally, he just mutters something, "...I'd say I'm sorry, but. I'm... really not, right now. I... I needed to do that."

But, even though he isn't fighting /much/, he's not walking along with the orderlies. Instead, they're going to have to carry him to the bed. Once there, though? He won't fight being bandage. He just looks down, still sunken and sullen looking.

Mihk Lihzeh (573) has posed:
The Orderlies do their level best to bandage over those wounds. They then stand at the door until Mihk returns carrying a satchel that clinks softly, and a large, leather bound tome. "Wait outside please." she orders the two orderlies. One begins to object, but a quick sidewards glance gets him and his buddy bustling out of the door, where it closes. "Something is bothering you more than just failing your mission." she states plainly, walking over and pulling a chair up to seat herself beside the man. "I am not only a nurse for the body, but I am a sympathetic ear for your feelings, if you would like to talk about what is troubling you." She offers, as she opens the satchel and retrieves a blue potion, a green potion and a vial of red liquid. "For your wounds, drink this, then this." she says, offering the blue potion first, then the red vial. "After that, I shall perform Physick to aid in your natural regeneration."

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute is quiet at first. But, it's obvious he is listening to Mihk. He's at least looking more in her general direction, than just straight down. He also takes the potions in the correct order, chugging the two of them quickly.

For a moment, he is trying to talk. Stumbling on his words. But, finally, he manages to get his thoughts together a bit more coherently.

"...Well... Urm. During last night's fight, well. Damnit... How do I even say this... Uh. This woman I like... ...Well, actually I told her I love her, but. She's let me know that we're eventually going to have to stop seeing eachother. Because she wants a monogamous relationship. And, well."

A sigh. He just looks down, still sullen.

"...This has happened multiple times over the course of the last month or so. A number of women have told me they have feelings for me. Strong feelings. But, for some reason or other, they can't be with me. Mostly due to that stupid monogamy thing. I... I just can't take it any more. I'm just...."

     He pauses, staring down.

"...It just makes me want to break things. To hurt things."

Mihk Lihzeh (573) has posed:
Mihk nods slowly, then opens her tome. On the page is a geometric design which the Miqo'te pours power into, it lifts from the page, the Arcanist's hand 'grasps' it, and she 'throws' the design at Lute, where it becomes a glowing green ball of Aether. True enough, the potions, combined with the magic, seem to make all those freshly opened wounds reknit back together.

"Might I ask why monogamy is such a sore point for you?" she enquires, remaining by the bedside to try and help heal a little of that rage and hurt.

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute just looks away from Mihk for a second. He is almost certain she will not understand, at all. So few do. Most people are happy just being with one person. How can he explain that he isn't to those wo just inheritly can not understand?

"...If two people feel for eachother, they should be together. No matter what. It's simply... stupid to stay with just one person. If you love someone, be with them. If you love multiple people, be with them all."

A sigh, "Monogamy just... It makes it so two people who truly feel for eachother can not be together anymore, because one of them decided to bind themselves to someone else."

He slams his fist, hard against the bed. It's only due to the healing magic that his wounds don't reopen more. "Why /can't/ people get it? I feel for so many people. I want to be with all of them! But even if they feel for me back, they decide to bind themselves in a closed off relationship with /someone else/ instead. I just... /Why/ would someone do that?"

Mihk Lihzeh (573) has posed:
"I freely admit that I cannot see the reasoning for such an arragement." Mihk states simply. "However, feelings of romance and the like are largely foreign to me. My studies are too important to waste time chasing after someone who could potentially be incompatable with my life."

She reaches out, and gently places a hand on the man's shoulder. "I will not tell you to 'let it go' or that your feelings are 'wrong'. What I /will/ say, is that perhaps you are looking in the wrong places."

She squeezes lightly, then stands and picks up her satchel. "I shall be making my rounds again in a few hours... if you want to talk again, just ring the buzzer." she offers last, before turning to leave.

Lute (188) has posed:
     Lute just.... Looks down.

"...Yeah. You can't understand. No one does. And... Well."

He sighs, "...It's pointless talking about it. Nothing will change, but. Thanks for trying to listen, at least."

He lays back in his bed, staring at the ceiling. Not saying anything else as Mihk leaves the room.
