Sanary Visits Lute's Home
Date of Scene: 04 March 2015
Location: Pokemon-2
Synopsis: Sanary comes over to have Lute sew up her coat, and show him her new eye. She also meets Harp for the first time.
Cast of Characters: 188, Sanary Rondel

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute's home is located in the desert region of Orre, in Phenac City. A veritable oasis in the desert. His house is a rather decent looking affair, located near the wall surrounding the city. The door to it is open at the moment, and Lute is sitting inside, in the living room. He generally has an open door policy with his house. Anyone who wants to visit, can, and hence the door is generally open. Especially due to the weather of this region, it can be left open even in the winter without getting cold.

Lute himself is sitting at a couch, reading a book on monster raising. Not Pokemon, but about monsters of other worlds. He's mostly just curious about expanding his field of expertise a bit more, especially due to Mr. Crabs.

He is prepared a bit for Sanary, though. A couple of wine glasses are on the table, and he has a bottle of wine. Yeah, it's early, but hey, why not offer her some wine when she gets here?

Of course, he also sent a taxi to pick her up, to help her get here. The city isn't /huge/, but it is easy to get lost in due to the strange layout.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Sanary isn't sure what to expect on her first visit to Lute's world. From what little she has heard about the place, there's Pokemon, there's people, and then there's the balls that control the Pokemon somehow. The area's certainly more normal than she expects, however, and the girl ends up napping on the way to Lute's house.

By the time she gets there in the taxi, her hair is matted on one side and her clothes are a little dissheveled from lying down. She's wearing her usual coat and tunic combo, the former having a few tears and scrapes scattered on it along with a noticeably bigger hole near her right shoulder.

"Lute? I'm here. Not a thief." She knocks on the door lightly before stepping inside with a hand holding the door to keep her bearings straight.

Lute (188) has posed:
As Sanary arrives, Lute just smiles, setting the book down as he looks up at her. "Hey, Sanary! Glad you could make it. And... Well, yeah, that /is/ a pretty big hole, huh?"

He walks over to her, tracing the area where the hole is with his hands, a bit."...Yeah, this is a big hole, but I have the stuff to fix it. Just take it off, and I can get started on that, alright? ...Though, well. I got the feeling there was something else up, too. ...Or did you just want to come and spend more time with me, and this made a good excuse?"

Sanary Rondel has posed:
"Heh. Yeah, it was... interesting. Sucked a lot, but definitely a good kick in the ass to learn how to deal with poison." Sanary laughs lightly at that, wincing lightly at the touch the the hole. Although the wound is healed and there's no damage to the tunic underneath, the area is still somewhat tender from the recent injury.

"Sounds good. Ah... There was something else, actually." The blind girl takes a deep breath as the faded eye glints slightly, a faint sheen appearing over it as she channels magical energy into it. "Does this look weird? Anything noticeable?"

She sounds just a little bit calmer as she speaks while actually maintaining eye contact for the first time since ever.

Lute (188) has posed:
"Yeah, dealing with poisons is a great thing to learn as a healer, or a fighter. ...Though, since the Union doesn't use them often, I'm generally on the other side of the poisoning."

But, then, she looks at him, directly in the face. He just stares back. He sees the slight glow. He blinks, a little bit. Is this magic? ...Something else? He's puzzled, at first, but. He is beginning to put the pieces together. Generally, eyes don't suddenly start glowing for no reason.

"...Did you develop a laser vision super power, or did you get some sort of magic vision with your eye?"

Both are valid assumptions, at this point, he feels.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
"True... I'm more worried about the weird shit than the Union using it, though. Freaking thing-you-wanted-as-a-pet." Smirking slightly, Sanary reaches up to tap a knuckle against his forehead lightly. "Just don't expect me to be able to fix anything yet if one of those bites you in the ass."

There's a definitely look of recognition and relief in the healer's eye as she regards Lute, looking him over slowly before taking the coat off. "Uh... Haven't tested the first one yet, but I might have... Bought something?"

Chuckling nervously, she holds out the coat while glancing around at what she can see of Lute's house. "I have to use some magic to keep it going, but it's convenient being able to... Not see some of the weird stuff sometimes."

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute takes the coat, just staring at Sanary. Smiling. Well, it needs a magic source? That's not... /ideal/, especially if she runs out of magic. But, despite this, he is incredibly thrilled. He sets her coat down on a nearby chair, smiling at her.

"...It's /great/. You're able to see again. It must be life changing for you! What's it like, being able to see again, after so long?"

He reaches out to grab her hands, holding one of them with each of his. Still smiling. He's really hoping that she'll find him attractive, at least. Because ego. But, he hasn't asked, at least not /yet/. Doesn't want to annoy her yet.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Furrowing her brow slightly, a low hum comes from Sanary's throat as she ponders just how to describe the feeling. "Definitely makes getting around a lot easier, for starters. And aiming at... Everything." She laughs and freezes up briefly at the hand-holding and the smiling from Lute, suddenly noticing one of the disadvantages of having her sight back.

Her eye darts around suddenly as she breaks eye contact, a flustered expression on her face as she focuses on the chair he had been sitting on earlier. "Wh-what are you smiling about? It's just seeing things. There's all sorts of weird shit I've seen since I got this, too. Definitely not as scary if I don't know what any of it looks like."

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute just shakes his head a little bit, before looking at her again. "Look, seeing is a big deal. It'll make your life so much easier. Plus, well. I've been wanting you to see me for a while. Just a bit curious if you find me as handsome as I find you beautiful."

Yeaaah, he couldn't hold that in for long. But, either way, he moves in to give her a quick kiss on the lips. And Sanary can actually see this one coming this time!

Sanary Rondel has posed:
"It does! Although I'm trying not to make it too obvious, since... It's convenient not having to read for class." Snickering lightly again, Sanary's cheeks turn a few shades pinker at the query as she gives Lute an incredulous look.

"H-how am I supposed to answer tha-" Her mouth hangs open as she watches him coming in for the kiss, a light squeak echoing from her throat just before it's broken off.

"... Taller than I expected. And your hair's weird." She fights off her embarassment with another laugh, reaching up to bat at Lute's hair lightly. "Real big, too. How's it even stay up like that?"

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute smiles as he continues to look down at Sanary. He moves to hug her, followed by picking her up, carrying her to the couch, and setting her down on his lap as he sits down. Yeah, as usual, he prefers really over the top romantic moves, even if he views this relationship as a bit more casual.

He takes a second for her to calm down a bit. Even he knows she'd likely be a bit surprised at this. But, finally, he speaks, "Well, the hair takes a lot of effort, though I'm thinking of toying with the style a bit. Takes a lot of hair products to get it out I want."

A smile, "Though. Well. I hope you're not /dissapointed/ with how I look, at least."

Sanary Rondel has posed:
The healer lets out several confused half-grunts as Lute moves her from the entrance to the couch, unable to actually figure out just how to respond to all of it. If nothing else, at least she doesn't panic and flail about or anything like that. She doesn't want to get dropped, after all.

The reprieve (even in his lap) is still appreciated, however, and Sanary does eventually relax while remaining in place. "F... Figured. I'd get a haircut if I was you. Too easy to grab in a fight this way." She demonstrates by reaching up and giving his hair another flick, the smirk returning to her face.

"Unless nobody ever actually pulled here in any of your fights before?" She shakes her head and brings it closer to his, taking a few seconds to steel herself before planting a light kiss on... His cheek.

It's a start. "Not at all. You actually look pretty... Good, I guess." She clears her throat and averts eye contact once more, taking notice of the wine glasses and gesturing at them. "Already getting drunk this early?"

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute smiles at the kiss on the cheek. Well, it /is/ a start! He knows the majority of women are not as open as he himself is. He just hugs her after it, though, smiling. Taking a moment to enjoy this.

"Well. Glad you're not dissapointed. I know my style isn't for everyone, though. Some girls think I look too pretty boy for them? But, hey. Most like it, I think. ...And yes, I am a bit vain." He chuckles to himself at that.

"And... Yeah, people don't really pull at hair. Most people in the Union fight honorably, and most of the time, there are better things you can do than pulling hair. So it isn't a /huge/ liability. Unless, you know, somehow I end up wrestling someone? Then it might be. ...Plus I've become more of a backline fighter anyways, due to the fact I mainly use Pokemon."

"So, you bought the eye? From who? Just curious." He has a guess that it is /probably/ Souji, because he knows Souji does this magitech type stuff.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
"A bit?" It's not hard to see that Sanary's holding in a laugh again, the tension from earlier all but gone as she settles into Lute's lap comfortably. Even with her upbringing, it still feels nicer to not be on guard or having to worry about keeping up a tough appearance all the time.

"Their loss. No such thing as a clean fight unless you're doing it for training. And you should be ready to fight someone up close if you have to." She looks up at him with a mischievous smirk, raising her hand to tap on his neck lightly.

"If I was a Union spy, I coulda shoved a... I dunno. Hand needle in you just now. I don't think your Pokemon could do much from this range."

Laughing again, she props her feet up on the other side of the couch and blinks slowly, stopping the energy flow to the eye momentarily just to let herself relax a bit more. "Some guy in Urbania. Probably saw me stumbling around when he offered to do the procedure. I... Uh. Might have been a little drunk when I did it."

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute chuckles a bit more, again shaking his head. He kisses Sanary, on the forehead. "Well, if you were a Union spy, I'd probably be dead already. Though, so far, they haven't tried that /yet/. ...They might eventually, though. But hey, I still have ways to defend myself. I know some martial arts, enough to make sure I can get away alive."

"...And yeah, generally /not/ the best idea to do this while drunk? But hey, at least it works. You got lucky. There are some people out there who will steal your organs during procedures, and take advantage of drunk people to just raid them for organs. So, yeah. /Really/ lucky."

A sigh of happiness. This is... quite fun. "...Well. I'm glad you came over. But, like. In the future? No need to ask. I mean, you can just drop in whenever you want. ...I've got a number of women who do that on occasion, actually. But, still, feel free to come over whenever."

He moves in to kiss her on the lips, while holding her tight.

And then the sound of footsteps. A woman is coming in through the door, just slightly shorter than Lute. She actually looks quite similar, though her hair is longer. She's wearing a tight black T-shirt, and black jeans, at the moment.

"Hey, honey. I'm back from the store. Who is your friend?"

Yes, this would be Lute's wife, Harp. She just casually is walking in, carrying a bag of groceries, and setting them on the kitchen table.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
"Really? Huh... Definitely gotta be careful about that, then. Just in case, you know?" Sighing contently at the kiss on the forehead, Sanary strokes her chin lightly as she looks back up at Lute. "Reminds me that I still need to try fighting your Pokemon one of these days, too."

The semi-blind girl keeps rubbing her chin as Lute speaks, a thoughtful look crossing her face. "That'd be a first, then... First lucky thing that's ever happened, if that's the case." She laughs easily and nods at Lute's invitation, glancing around for a moment before remembering to actually reactivate that eye.

"Will do. Would be really weird if I just walked in while you..." She trails off at the next kiss on the lips, settling into it this time and draping an arm around his shoulders.

The sound of footsteps and Harp's voice keep her from enjoying it for very long, however, as Sanary jolts up into an upright position while looking over at her. "Ah. H-hey, Harp. Is this a... Uh. Bad time for me to be here?"

Lute (188) has posed:
As Harp comes in, Lute just casually waves to her a bit. Harp, on the other hand? She just shrugs. She recognizes the voice from the radio, though, and Lute has told her a bit about Sanary. So, she just starts putting the groceries away, while talking from the kitchen.

"Ehhh, don't worry about me. I'm pretty used to this. Besides, it's not like Lute hasn't walked in on me with a guy before. So, how have you been?"

Lute tries to give a calming smile to Sanary, and whispers a bit, "...Yeaaaah, we're fairly open. I mean, I know I've said this before, and but it's still a bit different to actually see it in person, huh?"

Lute, of course, just keeps cuddling Sanary, which will probably make this a lot more awkward for Sanary herself.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
"Oh. Uh... I've been pretty good aside from last night." Sanary clears her throat as she tries to wrap her head around what she's seeing. Harp being surprisingly calm, Lute hugging her even with his wife around, being the only that seems to be fretting at all...

It's certainly much more refreshing than the alternative. "Still a little sore, but I'll be okay. What about you?"

It doesn't hurt to offer, at least, especially while she's still sitting in Lute's lap. She nods slowly at him in response, eventually settling back into the cuddling and whispering back in response.

"Yeah... This kind of thing never happened back home. I can definitely see why you're married now, though."

Lute (188) has posed:
Harp continues putting the groceries away, rummaging through the fridge. With each trip to the table, she makes a pleasant glance over towards Sanary and Lute. "Yeah, I heard a bit about that, at least. At least you came out of it intact. And I've been fine. Spent most of yesterday practicing combat, getting ready for active duty again."

Lute puts a hand through Sanary's hair a bit, sighing a bit. It's a little annoyed. Not with Sanary, really. But the backwards worlds where this type of relationship can't pass for normal. ...Granted, his own world is like that, but still. "...Yeah, a lot of places wouldn't let something like this happen. Which is part of why I like the Confederacy. It's all about /freedom/ for those with the power to take it."

Harp, now finished with the groceries, comes into the living room. Carrying a wine glass. She saw the two glasses on the table, so she grabbed herself one. She sits next to the two on the couch. Harp then pours a glass for herself, Lute, and Sanary, and hands one to both of the others. Then she takes a sip herself. A little annoyed.

"...Lute, seriously, next time get the /better/ wine. This stuff is just... so cheap."

A pause from Harp, looing at Sanary, "...I can step out, if you want." She spots the confusion a bit better than Lute, and can tell that Sanary is totally not sure what to think about this.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
"Heh.. Yeah. Lot better than some of the other people that were there, at least." Sanary chuckles for a moment as she rests her head back against Lute, loosening up once again and starting to droop sideways into her original position before she sat up earlier. "Didn't know you were injured. Hmm... Well, if you ever get hurt again, I'm pretty good at handling non-poison wounds."

Laying around is definitely more comfortable than sitting up, at least, especially with Lute's hand in her hair. "Definitely a plus of working for them. Well... That, and I don't think the Union ever came by the village. But power's definitely a thing."

The healer sits up again as Harp offers a glass of wine, taking it carefully and staring at the liquid for a short while. "Thanks. Hm... How do you tell the difference?" She takes a sip and flinches slightly at the flavor, apparently still unused to the taste of the drink.

"Eh? No, you don't need to go. This is your home, right? It'd be..." She struggles to recall the word, furrowing her brow again while taking another sip. "Heard it in class before... Impolite to make you leave? That's the word, right?"

Lute (188) has posed:
Harp takes another sip of the wine, sighing, "Well. It's sort of something you have to learn. You have to refine your taste. ...But, not everyone can learn it. I grew up rather high class, though, so. I have a /lot/ of experience with the finer things in life."

And, Harp shrugs, "Well. I usually try to stay out of the way when Lute first has a girl over. Ease them into things, more or less. ...But, if you're fine. No problem."

Lute laughs a bit, "Yeaaaah, this is part of why we got married. There aren't a lot of women out there who are this open, huh? ...Granted, it turned out she's just an alternate me, but whatever."

Harp sighs, "Oh, come on, it's more complicated than that. And not even a big deal. But... Anyways. Sanary?"

Harp moves in, to give Sanary a quick kiss on the cheek. It's rather casual, nto really meant as romantic. "It's a pleasure to meet you."

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Sanary nods slowly at the explanation, hesitating briefly before taking another sip of the wine. "I get it... Only booze we had to drink back home was cheap ales from old bowls or whatever we had lying around. Never wine in glasses."

The healer can't help but laugh as Harp and Lute speak about their relationship, actually relaxing quite a bit as time goes on. Whether it's because she's truly becoming more comfortable or if it's because of the alcohol is unclear, though.

"Alternate you as in... Your personalities, right?" The idea that they might literally be alternates of each other hasn't struck her just yet, although she doesn't have much time for that thought to even register before the kiss on the cheek.

"Uh? It's good to meet you, too, Harp." The blush intensifies slightly at that, although her expression shifts into a more straight-faced one in an attempt to play it cool.

Lute (188) has posed:
Harp leans back a bit in the couch, looking at Sanary's blush. She then glances at Lute, "I like this one." She takes another sip of her wine, and puts her feet up on the couch a bit, bending her legs.

Lute looks like he is struggling to put something in words for a second, but, he finally gets it out, "Well. Alternates as in, well. I'm from one Pokemon World, she's from another. She is, quite literally, a version of me from a completely parralel world, only female."

Harp siiighs, "Yeaaah, so we probably couldn't be more of a perfect match, in a way."

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Sanary isn't sure how to respond to any of that at first, her gaze going from Harp to Lute, back to Harp, then back to Lute again. She downs the rest of the wine in her glass, then sets it back on the table carefully before taking a deep breath.

"So if you're still... Kinda the same person, does that make you family members?" She doesn't look disgusted or anything, at least, although there's still quite a bit of confusion evident in her voice.

"But if it's a different world, then maybe not..? Since it's still different worlds, so that means... Uh." She shakes her head quickly, wobbling slightly and reaching up to rub her temples. "... Probably easier not to think too much about it, huh?"

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute shrugs a bit, "Well, due to a weird thing that happened, at first? We actually thought we were from the same world. And we thought we were, in fact, cousins. Turned out we were wrong, though. But, well. We're not sure if the current situation is better or worse."

Harp just shakes her head, "Well. At least you're fairly fine with this. ...I keep getting worried. Because a certain /someone/ keeps getting in over his head with this stuf." She glaares at Lute.

And Lute sighs, "...Yeah, I keep accidentally dating women who want to be monogamous and it leads to drama. But, eh, whatever. It's working out, now. ...Plus, again, you're /really/ open, Sanary, huh?"

He moves in to kiss her on the lips again. Yeaaah, he doesn't seem to care at all about doing this in front of his wife.

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Sanary furrows her brow as the story becomes more complicated, drawing a low groan from the healer. "I... Guess this is better, then? Or... Yeah. Why not."

Definitely easier not to think about it. She snorts lightly at the glare and smacks Lute's knee lightly, eventually lazing around again and starting to droop sideways. "You really gotta watch out for that, yeah.... Maybe stick to your wife and the girls you're dating now until you figure out who's not going to blow up on you."

The topic of openness draws a low hum from her. "Mm... I guess. I mean, you dating other people or being married to Harp isn't really bothering me, so... Probably?"

Another shrug, and anything else she might have said is cut off by the next kiss, a soft sigh muffled into it. She seems alright about it, at least, although there's still just a bit of awkwardness at the thought of being watched.

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute winces a bit as his knee is snacked, even though it isn't all that much. A sigh. Yeaaaah, the one problem with having multiple girlfriends is that your romantic interests can gang up on you.

"Don't worry, like. ...Currently, it's a bit less problematic. And I'm just going to keep it limited to who I've got for now, though, just because... Yeah. It's getting overwhelming in a way."

And then, after the kiss? Lute just smiles. Harp just remains comfortable drinking her wine. And Lute grins, speaking again, "Well. I'm... glad you're open. Maybe at some point, I can even bring you along on a date with one of my other girlfriends. ...Cause I'm pretty sure all of you will need to get along a /bit/ to make this work."

Sanary Rondel has posed:
Humming lightly and shifting in her seat/Lute's lap for a moment, Sanary snickers while bracing one arm against the back the couch to keep herself upright. The wine is definitely getting to her, but she's holding herself together fairly well for all the moving she's doing.

"That's why I don't date a bunch of people at once. Or... Ever before." She laughs rather loudly at that, although the girl does slump slightly moments later upon realizing what that could actually mean.

The kiss brings her back, however, and she's back to snickering and shuffling around again. "That could be fun. Haven't gone on any dates with girls yet, so it'll be a way to learn... You went with Helena and Kyra once, right?"

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute actually... frowns a bit. Even Harp is looking awkward. But, really, Sanary had no way of knowing. So he sighs, explaining. "Well, uh. The Helena and Kyra date didn't really go well. Because even though Helena wanted to come, Helena and Kyra have a... history, and it turned out a lot more dramatic than I thought it would. Kyra didn't blame me at least, and thought I was an okay date. But I still feel guilty. That... was a bad idea."

Harp groans, "Of /course/ it went bad, you took a girl's ex on a date with her. That would end up poorly no matter what!"

Lute frowns and blushes a bit. Yeaaah, this is the sort of thing that gets him embarrased. "Well, at least things are better now!"

He cuddles Sanary close, "Don't worry. With you? I'd make sure the other girl knows a bit beforehand, and that there won't be any drama. Alright?"

Sanary Rondel has posed:
It's Sanary's turn to frown as she hears the aftermath of that date, drawing in a slow breath through her teeth. "Oh... Uh. Sorry to bring that one up, then. Didn't know they were a thing. Can't really..." She trails off as the thoughtful look returns. "... Well, haven't really talked to Helena that much, so maybe."

She laughs at Harp's outburst, the frown quickly replaced with an amused grin. "Yeah, that sounds like it'd be a bad idea even for me. I'll just be careful to never bring... Either of them up to each other ever."

Closing her eye, the girl lets out a relaxed sigh as she curls up into the hold, drawing small circles on Lute's neck with her finger. "Sounds good to me. I don't think there's anyone that there would be drama with if I ran into them, so... Go nuts."

Lute (188) has posed:
Lute smiles at Sanary, looking at her, "Well, I'll tell you who all at least. I mean, it's not /that/ many, but... Let's see. Aside from, well, the obvious," he motions towards Harp, "I've been seeing... Serori for a while, Miko, and this one chick you might not know named Ms. Fortune. Those... Those are the main ones, though Ms. Fortune is a lot more casual? ...Though we haven't been out on a real date since the first, though we've got one planned again soon. ...Odds are I'll go on a date with Helena again, sometime, too. Also I'm going to go on a date with Fuki again sometime soon, too."

     Lute shrugs a bit.

"Anyways, that's basically it... I think you'd get along with them all, anyways."

But, Lute pauses for a second, lifting Sanary off of him, smiling. "--Before I forget, I should get some of the cloth out and take care of the sewing. It'd be silly if we forgot to do that!"

And so, he runs off to get the fabric. It will take a bit for him to sew up.

During which time, Harp will probably share embarrasing gossip about Lute with Sanary.
